Okay but the droid kind of had a point about Batcher struggling in the wild because of Omega domesticating her. One thing you learn about working in a zoo environment is that hand-reared animals have no idea how to behave like their wild counterparts and basically turn into little psychos (like you can't actually be in the same room as some of them levels of bad). That or they rely on people too much and have no idea how to fend for themselves. Either way, the droid wasn't entirely wrong

Overall I love these episodes! It's nice going back and forth between Cross and Omega, and Hunter and Wrecker. We're going to get some interesting dynamics

This is a very sad day for Echo stans though. I feel like we're going to be suffering a lot this season 🥲

Guys I finally figured out how to write normally again! 😭 Except when it comes to titles. I've been in a slump for what felt like forever but I think it's over now. I decided to revive a scrap I had so I can refresh my brain on my ocs. Enjoy <3

Emory sat on the floor by the fireplace, bundled in a blanket. They were surprised to find themselves here. They guessed Athena truly felt bad for them. Well, not only did she force them into freezing water, she also nearly drowned them. Twice. They flinched at the very thought of it. 

They flinched again when they noticed Athena walking up to them. She had a small smile on her face as she sat down. She had a bowl and spoon in her hand. It was oatmeal. Of course. She picked up a spoonful and held it up to Emory. They leaned away from it, unsure of the gesture. Was there something wrong with the oatmeal? Why was she feeding it to them? Usually, she’d just hand them the bowl and leave. But she was…feeding them? 

Hesitating, Emory reached for the spoon. Athena frowned and grabbed their chin, forcing their mouth open before feeding them the oatmeal. Emory leaned back, tasting for anything strange. When they realized nothing was wrong with it, another spoonful was held up to them. Emory sat in confusion as Athena fed them. They decided that maybe this was one of the things she was going to be gentle about. Once they were done, she left and came back empty handed. She sat in the same spot she was in before she walked away. She smiled softly, her hand reaching out to caress Emory’s cheek. They tried their best not to flinch. They found themself leaning closer upon feeling the warmth of her palm. However, they weren’t able to enjoy the feeling for long when her hand ran down to squeeze their throat. 

“What did I tell you would happen if you disobeyed me?” Athena grumbled in their ear. 

“That you– you would pun–punish me…” Emory gasped. 

“And what did you do?” 

“I–I disobeyed you… I’m sorry! I–” They were dropped to the floor and immediately began taking in as much air as they possibly could. 

“It’s pathetic, Emory. Honestly.” Athena frowned down at them. “I ask you to follow simple instructions and you can’t even do that. What good are you if you can’t do that? Would you like me to get rid of you entirely?” 

“No! No, please!” 

She picked Emory up by their shirt. “Then you better start acting like it.”
