Max felt like this was all just one big out of body experience. Daniel was hanging off of him smiling down the phone with his family. Because of course he had a phone— everyone did. But Daniel forgets about it apparently and it dies often because he doesn’t charge it. He has better things to do than be tethered to technology– unless it's like videos of animals then he has all the time in the world.

When the call had connected; Grace had been weeping and Joe had looked marginally worried. The moment they saw Max however, Joe looked apoplectic and Grace was gently replaced by Michelle who looked like she was planning to kill Max in his sleep.

“Daniel, love. Where are you?” Grace was sniffling and Daniel’s smile dimmed a little. 

“Mama this is Max! He says I’m in Monaco— its far from Perth. I’m sorry Mama.”

“Danny you don’t even have a passport…” Michelle was confused and exasperated. Her usual emotions around her brother.

“Security must be very lax at the airport.” Joe muttered which had Max snorting. They’d all forgotten about him and he'd effectively gotten their attention again.

Michelle mutters something about trusting random people and Daniel lights up because he didn’t just trust blindly this time!

“Don’t worry Chellie! The cats say he's nice! And you know cats never lie!” They were right about the birds and so far they've been right about Max.

“Well if the cats say he's nice…” Grace had all but calmed down seeing that her baby is fine, but Michelle and Joe were already in action mode. They weren't so convinced about this ‘nice Max person’.

“Danny, can you give us a moment so we can talk to Max about getting you home?” Joe smiled when Daniel sang an ‘of course’ and they all watched him get up and frolic to a daybed behind Max and curl up with the cats. Max smiled unconsciously at his humming, who could stay stoic in the face of this?

Grace eventually flutters off as well– because her boy is hale and whole so she's good– and it's just Max left to the wolves of Michelle and Joe. 

It takes a bit but they eventually believe that he's a Formula 1 driver (lots of cross referencing websites and apps. Michelle was thorough) and that he has no problems helping Daniel get home. The season doesn’t start for a few months so he’s got time. 

Turns out they’ll need to get Daniel a passport, sneaking him back into the country even on a private jet was a felony. 

Daniel was making himself comfortable during all of this, floating around the flat with Jimmy and Sassy in hand, singing to them and pointing out the window. He then started looking at himself in all of Max’s trophies, making faces in the mirrored metal, and singing the names to the cats.

“Oh! Melbourne! I know there!” Daniel excitedly pointed at a circular tray like trophy, the lighthouse on his thigh flashed a golden light and the sails of the ship fluttered.

“I’ve raced there.” Max smiled at Daniel’s delighted laugh. He continued to watch Daniel admire all his hardware and crystals with a fond smile– Michelle and Joe stared eagle eyed and tense. When it seemed like he wasn’t putting on a show, they calmed down a little. Just a smidge.

They allowed Max to go after a few more threats– which was only fair. And he went to take a cat from Daniel. Jimmy curled into Max’s hold and Sassy flopped herself around Daniel’s neck, kneading the air as if high on catnip. Daniel giggled, shrugged and scritched her tummy.

“Daniel do you want a change of clothes? Maybe a shower?”

Daniel started singing a song about showers and sunsets and Max took that to mean that sure, he wanted to shower. He found something non-merchy, a tshirt and athletic shorts, he hoped they fit because he didn’t exactly know what size daniel was.

Easily remedied, however, because Daniel took off his sweatshirt during his second chorus. Max blinked at the expanse of tanned skin that was exposed, and the new collection of tattoos that glowed and fluttered. He serenaded Sassy while she bundled in his arms, cooing and grinning when she purred back. The cherub on his forearm fluttered its wings.

He was smaller than Max anticipated, but still broader and fit. Max guessed it was because his aura was so large that he physically seemed tiny in comparison.

“Is there anything you want to eat? I can order food while you bathe.”

"Do they have pizza here? I love pizza." Daniel swayed where he stood, his inner music never stopping.

"We can get pizza." 

Daniel did a happy dance then sauntered to the bathroom confidently. Max cut himself off from saying something when Daniel pointed to the hallway door while looking down at the cat in his hand. Right…Sassy knew where everything was. It was a …strange dynamic to consider.

While that happened, Max took out his phone and texted Charles for help. He was truly out of his depth and Charles knew how to handle  weird shit. He'd gotten used to being more important than the Pope so he could help figure this out.

Charles came with Lando– because of course he did. Those two were always together nowadays. They could keep a secret– not from each other– but they were vaults otherwise. They were in the living room and Max was just about to start explaining when Daniel fluttered out of the bathroom humming. He was damp and shirtless but was wearing Max’s shorts, Charles’ and Lando’s mouths dropped open in shock.

Max scrambled up to cover Daniel off before he fully got into the living room. “Daniel, where is your shirt?”

“Oh, Sassy said it was uncomfortable so I like decided not to wear it.” He shrugged uncaringly and the skull baby on his bicep stepped forward to keep its footing. Sassy purred in his arms and he went back to staring at her lovingly.

“Do you want another shirt?”

“Max…what the fuck?” it was Lando. Max groaned when Daniel looked around him, beaming brightly. The rose bloomed a little.

“Hi! I’m Daniel!”

Kim, Nathaniel and Adrien set aside an hour every week to go down to Tartarus and just troll the heck out of their dad.

As the goddess of marriage and family, Marinette often attends mortal weddings. If the ceremony brings her to tears, it’s said the marriage will be a lasting and loving one.

Lila has an enchanted golden apple that she uses to cause trouble amongst mortals and immortals alike. It’s so beautiful that most can’t help wanting it.

The festival that gets held every year to celebrate Rose is basically Ancient Greek Pride. People of all romantic, sexual and gender identities are welcome and celebrate together. Rose herself makes an appearance every year in her powered-down goddess form.

Let’s get one thing straight. Nathaniel did NOT kidnap Marc. He went to the Underworld entirely of his own free will, and the only reason Mylene freaked out was because Lila intercepted the letter Marc sent his sister about his whereabouts. Got it? Good.

The muses put on a weekly performance for the other gods and attendance is pretty much mandatory. They put so much work into it.

Nathaniel, Anthony and Staci are called the ‘Gloom Squad’ due to residing in the Underworld. They have entire conversations just comprising of them saying morbid and ominous shit.

Luka and Juleka have a special mental link that allows them to find one another at any time when they recite a certain incantation.

Whenever a new deity is born, they are presented before the Fates (Bustier, Mendeliev, and Winters), who announce them and determine what domain they will rule over.

Some of the godly kids were born in WEIRD ways. For example, Rose came out of the sea in a shell, and Max burst out of his mom’s head!

Nino was kidnapped by mortal pirates once, and escaped through the power of sheer prank genius.

Many of the god-kids have animal companions that are very dear to them. To name a few, Adrien has his eagle, Liiri, and Marinette has her peacock, Duusu. Juleka has the deer that pull her chariot, and Max has Markov, his faithful owl. Marc and Nath have Baark, the three-headed guard dog of the Underworld.

As benevolent as they generally are, it’s still a BAD idea for mortals to insult the gods. They are still the rulers of the world and you’ll treat them with respect if you know what’s good for you. Some mortals have learned that the hard way, like the woman Max turned into a spider for insulting his engineering skills, or the queen whose children were turned into woodland animals by Juleka and Luka because she had dared say she was a better mother than Anarka because she had more kids.

Ivan often feels a bit insecure about not being as conventionally attractive as the other deities, with his hulking size, bad eye (forge accident, he wears a patch), crippled knee (he uses a brace), and surly features, but Mylene and the others are quick to reassure him that he’s beautiful inside and out, just like everything he makes is.

For the life of him, Kim cannot stop misplacing his trident. Seriously, someone put a tracker on that thing.

Marinette, Ondine and Marc have regular meet-ups for tea where they just exchange gossip and be fabulous immortal queens.

Juleka’s arrows are enchanted so they cause no pain to the animals she shoots with them, and she never kills any more than she needs to. She cares immensely for creatures of the forest.

Eclipses happen when Chloe and Zoe have a particularly intense argument.

Brecken can understand the languages of all animals, and regularly mediates disagreements between the other gods and their pets.

Lucien and Emani are no longer welcome on Olympus. I’ll let you guess the reasons for that.

All of the gods regularly have meetups on Olympus for lunch. It’s like a big crazy family reunion.

Eri scares the crap out of everyone but they generally know she means no harm. The only ones who aren’t scared of her are the Gloom Squad and Juleka.

Alix gets like half an hour of sleep because she’s always trying to get things done and the other gods are always on her ass about this.

Ismael is an absolute menace on April 1st. No one is safe from his reign of terror. No one.

He also bleats when he's upset.

kinda a repost, but more a continuation of this post. this will contain spoilers for the game sea of stars, so im sticking it under read more.

So my sea of stars oc, El'orena--

a guilty pleasure, but it is a canon x oc dynamic with slight canon divergency without affecting the plot. In a polycule w. Aephorul and Resh'an, with it being uhhhh obviously complicated w. Aephorul lol. She's also an alchemist who worked with Aephorul and Resh'an, and also drank the elixir of life.

like i imagine her have like been born on a summer solstice and can use sun magic, however she didn't ascend, in the uh, right way per se

bc she also took the elixir of life, she went and studied the stars, the planets and life. where her magic warped into something not quite like solar magic but also more than that

due to ger immortality and magic, shes often (incorrectly) hailed as the mother of stars

it was bc of her own spat with aephorul that she and resh'an realized the dwellers are weak to solar magic during eclipses

she can control life and space, like resh'an can control time, and aephorul can control flesh and bone

so like resh'an, she cant directly involve with aephorul either, so she rushes to worlds he has not reached to prepare them should he arrive

she helped with establishing mooncradle, and training the very first solstice warriors in mooncradle with resh'an's help as the great eagle

she misses aephorul dearly, just like resh'an. but she also knows he's lost to her, and she clings to resh'an, visiting him often as he too can lose himself to time

they still very much love aephorul, but also can not bear to see the devastation aephorul creates and wish maybe one day they'll have the aephorul they love back and not the fleshmancer he is today, albeit futility

her arms are golden prosthetics, actually made by aephorul for her before he became the fleshmancer.

so she would be the "player" or rather the being that visited the archivist at the start of the game, the one that Resh'an would begin to tell the story of Zale, Valere and Garl.

i imagine her as a healer main, high magic attack and defence, and high health but low def and attack. her basic attack does arcane damage

her kills are maybe arcane/sharp damage attack to delay enemy turn

like an arcane attack that is multihit and the more successive hits, the more damage is done along w. heals self a percentage of the damage

dunno combos, but maybe ultimate heals bith hp and mp?? like its mot an attack at all just a healing move

shes really upbeat, and loved to tease ppl

i think she also joins the party w. resh'an, though loses her headpiece because its a bit "impractical" for the journey

she deffo drags resh'an back to the party when he tries to bail, mostly bc it was really lonely w.o him there during my playthroughs lol

she doesn't bathe during her hot spring scene, and instead sits on the bench reading. her scene raises the party's max mag. atk

she does leave the party like resh'an during the final battle w. Elysan'darëlle, BUT stays during the true ending route in the final battle w. resh'an.

hi!! firstly, thank you for the update on icarus, and i'm so so sorry that these past few months have been rough for you. as much as i love reading the new chapters, i hope you're able to take time for you and your health and sanity. i'm more than willing to wait longer for a new chapter on a fun lil fic if it means that you stay healthy and okay. i hope things get better for you!! <3

but i also wanted to say, christian was so cunty in this chapter and i GOBBLED that shit up!! his smirk and wink to toto??? his quiet confidence knowing he has that chickenshit exactly where he wants him??? the monologue of how golden eagles hunt??? he is the moment in this chapter!! (i also love how it was immediately followed by him constantly checking in on max lol)

i also loved how george doesn't even know that he's going through a wing crisis, and sees his trimming as a commitment to the team rather than a personal decision. i can't wait to see how george and toto talk about it (and i (morbidly) can't wait to find out what that crunch was that made him black out)!

anyway, i loved the whole chapter, and i can't wait to see what comes next! i really like how you're intertwining the different plot lines you've laid throughout the whole fic, like how carlos and charles made their race weekend preening system down to a science and while the readers know why, the other drivers don't (even if some have some guesses). brilliant!

Thank you! Work has really been dragging me down even more than usual lately so it's lovely to see the response to the new chapter of Icarus.

I've been looking forward to writing Christian confronting Zak for a good number of chapters and it was so satisfying to write. Christian and Toto is another dynamic I have scenes planned for a few chapters on that I'm setting up now; they are the kind of rivals that are really emotional-support frenemies but don't want to admit it.

George's disregard for his own health in an effort to show his commitment to the team is going to hit him in the face quite soon. he isn't quite going through a wing crisis yet - only severe wing stress and wing dysmorphia, both of which he has zero insight about. The next chapter will directly compare the Christian-Daniel and Toto-George dynamics and I'm so looking forward to it.

All the different subplots are merging, and each will reach their shatterpoint soon. I'm really looking forward to covering the rest of 2022 and early 2023. What happened to Daniel has far-reaching consequences, from the grid itself to the older generation between Jenson and the others.

Welp, I Guess I’ll Talk About My Maximum Ride Rewrite Now

I promised I’d post about my rewrite soon, totally not expecting to do it for at least a few weeks. Then I opened up my doc after like a month and wrote two chapters in two days.

So, now equipped with a stronger drive to write (at least for now) I’ll share some details on my rewrite project. I’ll be putting this under a cut because holy fuck I did not expect to write this much:

The full title for the series is going to be Fly On, Maximum Ride. The individual book rewrites are going to be from song lyrics (or song titles? haven’t decided). Incidentally, the “Fly On” part of the title also comes from song lyrics.

Why, you may ask, am I doing the cliché AO3 “song lyrics as the title” thing? Because music ended up having a larger impact on this series than intended. What started out as me listing each flock members’ favorite bands and songs somehow wove so deeply into them that I cannot remove it.

(I’m aware kisses4butterflies on AO3 also has a music thing going in their rewrite. I came up with my version independently, and I do think it’s cool we had similar ideas)

Now to what people actually care about: the story and characters 👀

First off: Jeb never died/faked his death. He is still living with the flock as we speak, leaving the house every so often to get groceries or supplies for the flock. Sometimes he’s gone for a few days, sometimes weeks, sometimes a bit longer. But he’s still a part of the flock’s life. He trains them, teaches them, makes sure they’re healthy, rewards them when they do good, etc.

Ari sadly does not exist. I could’ve tried to come up with something for him, but I removed him from the plot so early on there’s no way to squeeze him back in. Maybe he could’ve been living with the flock as a normal human kid, but I feel like that would’ve just made him Gazzy Without Wings so :/

The house is…different. I don’t want to say much on that now, but just know the flock isn’t waking up with the sun or going on daily flights around the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. They go outside to train and occasionally play, but only when Jeb lets them.

Max, Fang, and Nudge are probably the only real physical fighters of the bunch. Iggy’s extremely good at assembling traps and weapons he can use, but he doesn’t have the same training as his siblings. Gazzy is training to be a good fighter, and training with Iggy on building things (he’s much more eager about the bombs than Iggy is), but he’s still a kid and he’s still learning. Angel is a six year old, and she’s also slightly lagging behind on her motor skills, so safe to say she is not good in a fight.

The flock still looks somewhat human-like, but not enough that they pass 100%. Their wings are massive, for one, and they can’t just fold them up into their backs. They need bulky jackets and pants to squish their wings inside if they want to hide them. They also have feathers along the backs of their arms and legs. Their pectoral muscles are larger and they have broader shoulders, all to help support the wings. They have smaller and rounder bird eyes with raptor vision, and they’ve got hollow bones and air sacs just like birds do.

In terms of what birds the flock’s wings are based on: Max = golden eagle, Fang = peregrine falcon, Iggy = osprey, Nudge = american kestrel, Gazzy = red tailed hawk, Angel = ferruginous hawk. Their eyes also match the birds they’re based on.

Everyone in the flock has pretty noticeable scars. Max has a large one on her cheek. Fang has several long ones across his chest. Iggy’s eyes are basically a scar on their own. Nudge has scars on her hands that flare up in pain. Both Max and Gazzy have scars around their neck in the same places. Angel doesn’t have scars yet, but she’s going to get some soon.

The kids fully believe they’re freaks of nature who cannot live outside of their home or else they’ll be hunted down or taken back to The School.

The flock all consider themselves siblings. This does in fact mean no Max-Fang romance. Honestly I wouldn’t know what to do with it even if they weren’t siblings. I have 1 (one) planned romance in book 2, and it doesn’t involve either of them.

There’s not de facto leader, since Jeb is still there. Max, Fang, and Iggy all take up different roles when he’s gone to help around the house.

Max and Fang do have a really close bond, though. They were cage neighbors at The School for as long as they can remember, and they developed a very close friendship, always looking out for one another, always ready to do anything to save each other. Even now, four years after leaving The School, they’re constantly there for each other, helping deal with trauma the only ways they know how.

Of course, when Max and Fang aren’t physically or mentally able to help, Iggy’s there to be the emotional support for his siblings. He’s one of the oldest kids, so he’s treated as such, James. Admittedly, there is A Lot to Iggy that won’t get unpacked until after book 1. But he’s still very blind. Still very skilled. Still very gay.

Nudge, being one of the younger three, got to have a slightly happier childhood, free to play with dolls and be a kid. She still struggles with nightmares and flashbacks, but not to the degree that her older siblings do. Now that she’s getting older, she has to train more, something she hates. Just like in canon, she really just wants to be a normal girl. She’s scared of people, but also fascinated by them and wishing she could live like they do.

Gazzy barely remembers anything from The School. It definitely had an impact on him, but the few memories he has are implicit childhood ones that are more sensory than anything. He’s the most innocent of the kids, but he’s also very aware of his siblings’ struggles and tries to help when he can. He’s willing to fight, despite his total lack of experience.

Angel, unfortunately, absorbed plenty of bad memories as a baby, when she couldn’t control her powers very well and overheard everyone’s nightmares. She’s aware of what happened at The School, but she tries not to bring it up because it makes her siblings sad. She still has nightmares about it, still remembers things she shouldn’t. However, memories don’t quite compare to experiencing the real thing... 

Gazzy and Angel are indeed biologically related instead of just found family. I’ve put a bit of emphasis on that being different. Not in a way that invalidates found family, don’t worry. It’s just that I personally believe if you already have a found family dynamic and are now including blood siblings, there should be some significance to it, because otherwise why do they need to be related if everyone is already family? Basically: Gazzy and Angel are very very close. They love each other, they play together, they barely ever argue or fight. They’re babies, and I will protect them (I say as I put them through several back-to-back traumatic events)

Speaking of biological families…uh, most of the flock doesn’t have any. Max isn’t Jeb and Dr. Martinez’ kid, the flock doesn’t go on a hunt for their parents that goes nowhere. In this world, a good chunk of the test subjects made through donor eggs and sperm that’s been genetically altered in advance and raised in artificial wombs. Yeah, sure, they’ve got donor parents out there somewhere, but it’s not top priority for most of the flock. They’ve got guardians looking out for them, and when they don’t they’re just fighting on their own.

Despite not being related to Dr. Martinez, Max is still Latina. I didn’t change any of the races - Fang is Asian, Nudge is black, Iggy and Gazzy and Angel are white - except for adding some clarification on Fang, since Asian is a very broad term (he’s got DNA from Southeast Asia and East Asia, more specifically The Philippines and South Korea). Again, stuff that will be more relevant after book 1.

Some kids are donated by real people, though, usually altered in very, very early stages of development and monitored heavily until they’re born. Families sign a waiver promising a nice paycheck to cover all medical expenses, and a disclaimer of possible permanent damage to the body or death. There is one member of the flock who was donated to The School this way. I’m not telling who yet.

Ohhh boy the Erasers. I have so much to say about Erasers, but I’ll have to keep it short. 

When I started this rewrite, I had the question: “Why do we never see newly made Erasers? They can’t just start out as full-grown adults.” So, in this rewrite, we have child Erasers, which the flock refers to as “dogs”. They age quickly, so they do look like full grown adults when they’re three or four, however it doesn’t last long, since rapid aging doesn’t exactly stop. They live for roughly seven years max, but most of them outlive their fighting use before that. 

Full-grown Erasers are stronger, tougher, and are experts at following orders since it’s all they know. Dogs, on the other hand, are wild and violent. They’ll tear into anything they get their hands on and they’re harder to control, since they’re still learning. Itex utilizes them both.

Also of note on Erasers: they’re officially just Lupine hybrids, and the Eraser nickname was made up by the various children at The School, because they only ever came to the cage room to take away the unfortunate kids who didn’t live long enough, or the kids who were too sick to keep on living, effectively “erasing” them.

The School is a nickname that Gazzy came up with after they left. He still didn’t really understand the bad place they came from and how it was affecting his siblings, but kids on TV always talked about school like it was the worst thing in the world, so he figured that must be where they came from. He used it a lot, and it stuck with the rest of the flock too. 

Did I mention there’s more mutant kids? Because there’s more mutant kids. A LOT of mutant kids. 296 of them at The School alone, with over half of those being Erasers/dogs. They have to make a lot, since you never know which ones will succeed, which ones will be used for non mutation-related testing, and which ones will fail.

Where do they get the money for so many research babies? The flock doesn’t know any of this, but Itex is massive. Governments are willing to pay outrageous prices to fill their military with Erasers, and the research Itex provides from studying their mutants have cured diseases and provided better medical treatment for ordinary people around the world. The human experimentation is an open secret (though granted most people don’t know the entire process). Most of them can’t do much, however. Itex is very, very old, and it’s far too powerful for your average Joe to stop on their own.

Also there’s no “save the world” plotline. There’s some saving the world in there eventually (not now, but eventually), but it’s not a predestined thing that Jeb tells Max. Max wasn’t created to save the world. She and her siblings were created for something else...

...Anyways, that’s about all I have time for right now. I might post more details later, but feel free to hit me with a DM or an ask if you have any thoughts. Currently the rewrite is sitting at 23 chapters, which means I’m juuust over halfway done with the first draft lol. I don’t know when it’ll be out. I work on and off and I’m not super consistent. But hopefully I’ll have something done within the next twenty years. :P

Throughout history his training programmes gave rise to the most powerful Legionaries Umbra can offer, the most recent addition being the mortal nuisance named Sakurai Denki, a creation of Sunqu. With decent armor, good training and high quality weapons, Wights hold the line for other troops to deliver the killing blow.

Skeletons are the weakest troops at the Necro Archon’s disposal. Their mental capacity is limited to executing orders, with no trace of sapience. They perform mundane and repetitive jobs like work in the mines, farming or guard duties. Their combat use is rare, since their lackluster skills make placing cores inside them a waste of time, resources and Necro energy that could be spent on creating Wights. Despite this, they are cheap and easy to summon en masse as meat shields for more valuable troops, temporary protection for liches and necromancers or for flooding enemy positions. They fare decently against weak and average fighters, making up for their temporary nature. 

Pros: 

+ High ATK + Shielded + Summoned in high numbers + Doesn’t explode upon death by Pyro + Fairly fast

Cons: 

- Low DEF - Low HP - Low lifespan - No ability to attack floating enemies - No ranged attack

Skeletons don’t feature voice lines. 

Passive I: Forged In Bloodshed

Equips Wights with heavy armor, granting them +60% DEF. Their shields are steel-plated, making them unburnable. 

Passive II: Call The Dead

When a living, humanoid enemy is killed during the duration of Banner of Slaughter, a Skeleton is spawned. Extends the lifespan of Skeletons by 2.0 seconds.

Increases the level of Unholy Revival by 3.

FEA character mini-analyses: golden deer as wonderlandians

Here is part 3 of explaining why I cast characters the way I did in FEA (my ongoing 3H/EAH crossover fic)! Part 1, about the Black Eagles, is linked here, and Part 2 on the Blue Lions is here.

So the Golden Deer are special... in that I had to make up a third category for them (since apparently Roybels were never made a real thing, thanks for nothing Poppy). I call them "the Wonderlandians" but only half of them are from Wonderland... It matters not.

Without further ado, let us begin!

Hilda as Kitty Cheshire: you can't look at Hilda Valentine Goneril and tell me she wouldn't make the perfect Cheshire Cat. Kitty excels at getting people to do what she wants them to do, and though Hilda's brand of manipulation isn't quite the same, it's close enough. She's more exuberant than sly, but she's also lazy. See? Everything balances out.

Lorenz as Lizzie Hearts: just turn up Lorenz's voice to max volume, make Riddlish his first language, and there ya go. Overbearing, arrogant, and noisy, all in one go! Replace red roses with red hearts and you've got a man. Okay, but really, Lorenz would take his destiny very seriously--and no doubt be a subject of Claude's relentless needling for it.

Marianne as Rosabella Beauty: what more needs to be said? Our sweet, animal-loving little lady + the curse of the beast = daughter of Beauty and the Beast. There is nothing more to be said.

Lysithea as Ginger Breadhouse: with such a major sweet tooth, Lysithea couldn't be anyone else's kid. Okay, she could have been Hansel or Gretel's kid, but I wanted her to have Edelgard parallels so being the daughter of a witch makes more sense. No, I couldn't include her backstory in this setting, but did I give any logical explanation as a replacement? ... Also no.

Ignatz as Bunny Blanc: Ignatz has bunny vibes. He doesn't seem anywhere as anxious as the White Rabbit, but his shyness suits the image of a rabbit. They even have the same spectacles!

Leonie as Jillian Beanstalk: Leonie has that scrappiness that makes me think of Jack, so... let's say Jeralt in this AU was a famous giant-killer...

Raphael as Tiny: first of all, Tiny deserves more appreciation, and second of all, I couldn't think of any bodybuilding fairytale characters. Raphael is genuinely such a sweet guy who just wants to live a good hearty life, and that's what I imagine the giants are like before they go all fe-fi-fo-fum.

And that, my folksies, is that! Okay, I'll admit I was even less logical with this group of castings... but can you blame me? It's the Golden Deer.

Eagle Eye synthetic eyes - Similar to the Eyeknow augment, allows her to see through buildings but also allows her to directly interface with her drone Zrak, linked to her infolink, so she can see through its cameras. Allowing her to see from high above a situation and mark targets with smart scan.

Physical Ailments: None as she has the Sentinel augment and thankfully doesn't need as much Neuropozene as most thanks to her hybrid ISU DNA. Neurological Conditions: Neuropozene requirements are lower than average – Which the Assassins find is down to ISU DNA. Fear of fire due to PTSD from the attack that caused her to be augmented. Allergies: None now. Used to have hayfever. Sleeping Habits: Sleeps little, due to her need to be out at all hours of day or night, depending on mission. usually max 6 hours, but can manage of less than 2 thanks to the Sentinel compensating short term. History

1996 - Born Oct 30th - In Cardiff to welsh mother, English father.

2006- 10yrs -Family moves to London, when Elizabeth is asked to help run the London branch of Sarif Industries. Alexandr rejoins Assassins as Mentor. Zofie is homeschooled within the headquarters of the Coterie with other Assassin's children. 2014 -18yrs - Officially joins the Assassins order. Trains under the Master Assassin Katherine Frye and her father. 2023 - 27yrs. Involved in stopping a plot to kill the son of the King of England by the Templar/illuminati as a way to force control of the Royal family. She helps thwart the plot and kills the then leader of the British Templar order, Sir Bertrand Scottard.

2024 28yrs - Injured in a terrible motorbike accident caused by a Templar Hunter, in revenge for Zofie's part in the death of the order's leader, that leaves her near death. Thanks to connections to David Sarif, she is put in emergency cryo suspension and taken to a limb clinic in London, where she receives top end and secret assassin augments thanks to her earlier agreement to have them done in case of injury.

2025- 29yrs - Takes a year to learn how to use her augments fully. Finds she doesn't need anti rejection drugs as much as most augmented, thanks to being a hybrid with ISU DNA. 2026 (Spring time) - 30yrs - First big mission after getting augmented. Goes to Paris for 4 months to work with fellow Assassins Dean Morel and his partner Nick on a case involving a Harvesting ring financed by the Templars. 2026 (Summer) Returns to London after successfully stopping ring and exposing connections to a bank run by the Templars in Paris. Gets her augmentations upgraded thanks to David Sarif's latest prototype designs for the organisation. (what she currently has).

2027 31yrs - Aug incident happens. She did not get her chip replaced due to her involvement in the Coterie investigation into TYM sudden development of a chip that will fix a worldwide issue that also involves Augs not made by them.

2028- 32yrs- London Coterie has recovered from the incident, but many assassins have to be even more careful now as being augmented is watched closely. Some choose to have their Augs removed and retire, others simply say they were always in the shadows and will just hide more.

2029 (November) 33yrs-Katherine Frye asks her to Investigate Adam Jensen after the London Incident. Thanks to her father's occasional collaboration with MI6 and her involvement in saving The King's son many years previous, she has an ID number for her identity card which involves a code that suggests she is actually an agent for MI5, allowing her easier freedom of movement around Prague police. 2029 (December) - Moves to Prague, joining the reformed Praha chapter. Moves into the freshly refurbished apartment 86 in the Libuse complex and works on developing the Zelen Apartment complex that her mother's company has now bought as part of regen efforts for the Překážka district. Events in London confirm to Katherine Frye that Jensen is one to have as an ally, and she lets Zofie know her mission is a go...
