Kinktober - Day 18
[Iruka (Naruto) + Almost getting caught]
Tumblr media
Summary: Iruka, despite being a very capable chunin, rarely left the village. Obviously, he was a teacher, but even during the summer there was an implicit understanding that should Iruka be gone for more than two days, the entire missions desk would devolve into chaos. So imagine your surprise when Iruka is given a mission that will take him out of the village for at least a month. And you only have ten minutes to say goodbye before he has to leave... not nearly long enough to go home, so you’ll just have to say goodbye in one of the bathrooms near the missions office... Dom!Alpha!GN!Reader
Warnings: Iruka is quite hesitant to get down and dirty in his workplace so there is some convincing that has to take place. Not dubcon or anything, but still.
“We can’t have sex in the bathrooms of the missions office!” Iruka hissed at you as you dragged him to what you knew were the quietest bathrooms in the building.
“But I want to say goodbye properly,” you argued. “You’re going on a mission for a whole month and I’m going to miss you even more if we can’t properly say goodbye.”
“But we’ll get caught!”
“We won’t… As long as you’re quieter than normal,” you added the last part under your breath but judging by the way Iruka’s face went bright red, he’d definitely heard you. You wondered briefly if he was red from embarrassment, anger or arousal?
“Look, the longer we linger here, the higher the chances are we’ll get caught,” you reasoned, swinging open the bathroom door to find it blissfully empty.
A few moments later and you and Iruka were pressed up against each other in one of the small cubicles, chest to chest and nose to nose.
“I agreed to meet with Izumo and Kotestu at the missions desk before going to the gates together for the mission!” Iruka protested despite having fully allowed himself to be dragged into the cubicle with you. “I need to meet them in seven minutes!”
“But… I’m going to miss you…” you whined, giving Iruka your best puppy dog eyes.
Iruka blinked at you for a moment, and you could see the moment he started to falter.
“Just… be quick…” he muttered, sighing, the red from earlier creeping back into his face.
You grinned for a moment before spinning your mate around so that he was pressed up against the cubicle door. And, after a few moments of fiddling with his buttons, you yanked down his trousers and underwear in one go, revealing his beautifully smooth, tan skin to your hungry eyes.
He really was incredibly beautiful. For a second you couldn’t help but remember the time his hairband had snapped while working and Iruka had forgotten to pack a spare, forcing him to keep his hair loose for the day. You remembered having to beat people off of him to get him home at the end of the day.
(If one more jounin claimed to need help with their chakra control just to get into Iruka’s pants, you were going to beat them off with a sword this time.)
A stay kunai suddenly fell from Iruka’s pocket, knocked from your aggressive pulling, and clattered against the tile of the bathroom floor, breaking you from your thoughts and providing a sharp and sudden reminder about how easily sound is carried through a room filled with porcelain.
Best you hurried a little.
Opening up the glorious cheeks that frequently blessed your dreams, you were happy to see that he was still somewhat stretched after you activities last night. You fished a small tube of lube that you kept on you at all times for… emergency purposes… and conscious about time, quickly coated your fingers with it and shoved a couple inside. You immediately tried to find his prostate and coax out some slick to aid your minimal amount of lube.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this,” Iruka gasped. “Ah! Hnng-“
“Shh,” you hushed, moving your fingers faster and adding in another one for good measure. “It’s important that I say goodbye to you properly. I would be slacking on my duties as your alpha if I didn’t leave you with a memento to remember me by while you’re all alone on your mission.”
“Memento?” Iruka asked, his hips jerking as you finally found his prostate.
“Hmm, that’s right,” you agreed. “I want you fighting enemy nin who have no idea that as the battle continues on, more and more of my cum is dripping out of your gaping hole.”
Iruka gives a sharp intake of breath at your shameless words.
“I-“
“I want you to stumble when you’re tree running because you’re sore from the imprint of my cock inside you, your teammates questioning why you stumbled as you panic and try to come up with a believable lie.”
“Fuck,” Iruka whimpered against the palm of his hand. You saw the moment his knees started to weaken and so you hooked an arm around his waist and pulled him closer to you to keep him stable.
At that moment, audible footsteps filtered in through the gap underneath the bathroom door. Iruka clenched around your fingers, but you didn’t let that impede your rhythm, fucking him through the nerves, smirking as light squelching sounds now began appearing.
“Are you nervous that person’s going to walk in? Or are you excited?” you teased him with a whisper, removing your fingers, now covered in slick, and using the lubricant to stroke Iruka’s semi hard cock. “What if someone found us like this, hmm? One of your colleagues perhaps? Someone who often sits next to you at the missions desk, who’ll forever wonder if maybe, whenever you take a toilet break, you’re actually doing some naughty.”
“No, I don’t normally do this, it’s your fault, I wouldn’t-“ Iruka gasped.
“What if it was one of your students’ parents, then?” you carry on like he hadn’t said anything. “They have to come and see you at parents evening, but no matter how hard they try, whenever they look you in the eye, all they can think about is you bent over in the bathroom, enthusiastically taking your alpha’s cock, too much of a slut to wait until you get home.
“Or what if it was Hatake that walked in, huh? And every time you have to chase him up about late mission reports he takes you even less seriously than normal because no matter how much you shout or how intimidating you are, he’s seen you in a position he’s only read about in those awful, lewd books of his.”
“Shut up!” he whisper-shouted. “What if someone hears you? I work with children, I could lose my job-“
You chuckled and, taking advantage of your incredibly close position, slammed your cock into your mate in one fell swoop. Iruka interrupted himself with a keen which he desperately tried to smother with a hand.
“We’ve got to hurry,” you teased him, sucking a hickey onto his shoulder, remembering just in time to put it in a place that would be covered by his uniform. “You’re already late.”
With that, you started to pound into you mate as fast as you could causing the cubicle door to rattle and Iruka leant on it to keep himself upright. You were going to miss the feeling of soft skin slapping against yours while he was gone. As much as you played it up that you were going to miss him, you were actually feeling a little sad. You’d got used to having him around all the time despite being a shinobi, and the idea of a month sleeping in a cold and empty bed wasn’t particularly appealing.
Overwhelmed by emotion in that moment you leant down and nuzzled into your mate’s neck, pecking kisses on any of the bare skin you could reach. Iruka was letting out a long continuous, but muted, moan now, his cock flinging pre cum all over the stall as it bounced and shook in time with your thrusts.
Suddenly, two pairs of footsteps approached the main toilet door. As fast as you could, you pulled Iruka up towards your chest to stop the door from rattling, but remained buried inside of him, even as the toilet door swung open.
Iruka went as rigid as a statue immediately, and although you’d stopped thrusting, you sneaked a hand around and started gently rubbing the tip of his dripping cock that was still weeping onto the white tiles below.
“Iruka? You in here?” It was Izumo, presumably joined by Kotetsu. Iruka tightened like a vice around you and there was a moment of silence before Iruka realised what he’d have to do.
“Y-yes! I’m in here, just give me a moment-“ Iruka stuttered, trying his best to sound normal. “You can go ahead, I-ahh.”
You dipped your thumb into the slit at the tip of his cock and almost laughed at the small burst of killing intent you received in return.
“I’ll meet you at the gate,” Iruka bravely continued with a shaky voice. “I- I won’t be long.”
Silence fell over the bathroom for a moment. You could only imagine the look being shared between the two chunin.
“Riiiight,” Kotetsu said, already backing out of the room. “I guess we’ll uh… see you there in a bit.”
“Take your time,” Izumo snorted, voice clearly mocking, and just before the two left the bathroom, you heard what you assumed was Kotetsu smacking Izumo on the back of the head.
As they left, the room was plunged into silence once more before Iruka sighed.
“I hate you…” Iruka said, head falling against the door lightly. “…and hurry up, I have to go.”
“With pleasure, my omega.”
Iruka made it to the gate about 15 minutes late and was met with a grinning Izumo and Kotestu. Iruka flushed to the tips of his ears but said nothing and simply set off out of the gate, eager to make up for lost time.
Unfortunately, his wish to not speak about what had happened was rudely ignored while his team was setting up camp for the evening. Izumo crept up behind him as Iruka was sorting out rations for dinner.
“What is this, Iruka?” his voice was teasing and it set Iruka on edge. He whirled around quickly, prepared to do damage control.
Only to see Izumo pulling something out of Iruka’s pack.
The something being a pair of your used underwear. One he definitely hadn’t packed.
Izumo and Kotestu lost it, collapsing to the floor in laughter.
Iruka was going to kill you.

What I confessed while daydreaming
Kakashi x reader
Summary: The advantage of training with Kakashi is that you can have him close. Maybe a little too close. (Slowburn fluff and character background because why not). Set before team 7, Kakashi and you are not dating. Yet
A/N: this is a character insert fic and though is Kakashi x reader centered I want reader to be involved with other characters.
W/C: 3000 +
"That's enough ramen for today Naruto," Iruka's hand stopped the blond child. Not a second after, said child was already whining, loudly.
"Naruto, that's your sixth bowl of ramen in a row! Iruka-sensei is right, it's enough for today," you said, mocking at the kid, "one more bowl and you're gonna have to go back to your house rolling," you laughed at him.
"If you want another bowl you'll have to pay for it, Naruto," the sensei stated in a reprimanding voice.
"Uh-... hehehe" he giggled as he scratched his head, "I better get going, I have homework to do," and he left sprinting.
Iruka's sigh was cut by your loud laugh, "He's gonna empty my wallet soon, I swear." the brown-haired smiled at you.
"Don't worry, we can split the check," you said as you took out the money.
"It's ok YN-san, you don't have to do th-"
"It's fine! I just got the first paycheck from the hospital," you winked at him.
"How's that going?"
"Uhmm... It's going good I guess... I'm learning a lot but chakra molding is exhausting. Not hard, but exhausting."
"You do look tired."
"I haven't slept well," that dream was becoming more recurrent and you couldn't crack what made you uneasy about it.
Mau, come to me, my child...
The voice echoed in your head.
"Do you know what 'Mau' means?" you turned to Iruka.
"Well, it's not a word used anymore but many years ago it was used to name the period where seasons start to change. It means 'whirling dance' like the motion cherry blossoms make when they fall from the trees. Why?"
"I've been having this dream lately... It's like... flying and lots of colors... and... there's this... being, I think it's a man, that calls me daughter..." your pensive voice slowly silenced and your gaze was lost, "You must think I'm crazy," you chuckled.
"No, no. I've also had dreams that feel weird and I can't shake off the feeling," he gave you a warm smile, "It's not a nightmare, is it?"
You shook your head, "No, it's actually nice, sort of. But this being, this man, keeps calling for me and I always wake up before I can reach him,"
"Maybe it'll shake off once you do."
What does he want from me?
"Maybe..." you took a sip from your drink and sighed. Iruka took out his wallet to pay for the other half of the check and, as he did, you stared at him not noticing the smile drawing on your face.
Life in Konoha was becoming routine. Not in a bad way though. The streets and the people had begun to feel familiar, you were no longer an outsider, you were slowly building a life there... one you knew you would eventually have to leave behind.
The thought of that made your chest burn. You frowned.
"What is it?" Iruka interrupted your thoughts.
"Hhmm?" you turned your eyes to him, "Oh, I just, uhm- remembered something," you gave him a reassuring smile, "I gotta go now. See you next week?"
"Sure. It's not like Naruto is gonna take a no for an answer, anyway," the sensei knew his student. You weren't seeing each other for training anymore because you didn't have enough time, but you always found moments to hang out, and lately, Naruto had been the excuse.
"See you then," you smiled as you waved goodbye.
~~~~~~
Every afternoon Sasuke left school and head himself to a place in the forest to train his aim. His determination was much like Naruto's except he wasn't searching for glory. It didn't come from a desire for recognition. It came from a dark painful place. A void in his heart that you had found nothing could fill. Not your warm smiles, or your kind gestures. Not even your power, apparently.
By this point, you had run out of ideas on how to befriend him.
After that time you asked Naoki-san to cook a meal for him and you received nothing but a cold "thank you" from Sasuke, and "It is rude to stay somewhere you were not invited in the first place," when you tried to establish a conversation, it was very clear to you that he wasn't gonna let you into his life that easily or at all. So all you could do was keep him company while hiding. It was against your nature not to help. And also every time you were near him, the pain you felt was so strong you wanted to die and kill everyone around you.  That could turn into something dangerous.
No one deserves to feel that way and be left alone.
So you followed him into the forest, hid behind a tree, and sat, hugging him with your chakra, trying to contain him.
You let tears run down your cheeks in complete silence to ease the pain coming from him. His chakra felt like a fortress made by the thickest and coldest ice. Every time your chakra reached his you felt the burn of cold rage in your chest and a lump in your throat that stopped you from making any clear sound.
How can he go through life like this?
He was an orphan, you had found. One of many in the village, but no one carried that pain.
The tentacles of your chakra surrounded his, hugging him tightly as you whispered in your thoughts,
You are not alone, you are loved, you don't have to play strong, I'm with you... You are not alone, you are loved, you don't have to play strong, I'm with you... You are not alone, You are loved... you are loved, you are not alone...
A crack in the frozen fortress.
He threw another Kunai screaming from the bottom of his lungs with the hoarsest voice and fell, knees on the ground.
"WHY??!!!" He shouted at the sky, crying, "WHY DID YOU BETRAY US, BROTHER??!! WHY???!!" He sobbed uncontrollably, "WHY DIDN'T YOU KILL ME, ITACHI!!??" He threw the rest of the kunais furiously as he wept louder and louder.
You hugged him tighter trying to keep his emotions together, containing him with all you could so that he didn't shatter.
"I admired you..." he sobbed "I wanted to be like you... how could you...? I-... Mom-..." Sasuke took a deep breath, "but she's never coming back now..." he cried.
And as he tried to contain his sobs you felt the crack in the fortress harden again, and a strong wave of energy pushed you back,
"And that's why I have to kill you."
The crack disappeared. He stood up in silence and left.
Distance broke the contact between your chakras and you were left alone in the woods with a feeling of abandonment you had never felt before.
***********
"Stop that, child! you're gonna hurt yourself!"
"But mom, I want to learn how to fight"
"That's for boys, my love, leave it to your brother"
"But I like swords, mommy, they make me feel powerful"
"Stop it! before you hurt yourself"
 A scream. You hurt yourself. Mom had been right.
"Why does my brother get to learn with swords and I don't?"
"Because he's a boy and boys are better with those things"
"But Taro-sensei says-"
"-You already tried and failed,"
"My brother still fails sometimes"
"I don't want to hear another word on the subject child!"
You remembered those conversations so clearly. They constantly echoed in your mind like hunters of every single one of your decisions and every single one of your mistakes. As if everything you did was a way to prove that failure was not the end but one more step to move forward. But they had never let you fail freely, you always had to have everything figured out from the beginning.
But EVERYONE failed from time to time. There was no way to achieve greatness without failure.
Drops of sweat ran down your forehead as you bent forward to lay your hands on your knees, trying to ease your breathing. Frowning, you turned to see the targets painted in front of you, straightened your body again, placed yourself in position, and threw the kunai.
The weapon flew to your right as if it had a mind of its own and landed on the floor.
"God DAMN IT!!!!! WHY!!!!??" you squealed as you raised your hands to the air and pulled your hair.
There were Kunais scattered haphazardly all over the training ground.
Kakashi closed his book, turned to see you, and sighed as he listened to you insult and scold the kunais, your aim, the targets, and everything that crossed your path for the umpteenth time.
"You are aware that objects don't speak, aren't you?"
"I'm not trying to have a conversation with them, Kakashi- sensei, I'm just venting out" you replied annoyed.
"If you focused on practicing instead of 'venting out'," he said imitating your voice, "with a mouth that would put a sailor to shame, about something that is your fault, perhaps you would've achieved real progress and I would've finished my chapter in peace to be on time for my meeting." Kakashi's voice was calm almost sarcastic. Almost.
"ON TIME?" you snorted.
He nodded, "as is my custom."
You burst out laughing, "you should thank me, then," and channeling your chakra with one swift movement of your hand, pulled up all the kunais from the floor like a magnet to keep training.
Kakashi raised an eyebrow, a little surprised. At times he forgot about your power since he rarely saw you use it. "I don't understand why you bother yourself so much when you could have this solved so easily using that ability of yours," he said, maybe trying to comfort you. Truth be told he was actually impressed with your bad aim.
You fixed your eyes on him with a sarcastic look and turned your body towards him to have him in front of you and the targets to your side. You grabbed a Kunai, extended your arm, and threw it channeling your power. The weapon hit the target right in the center. A perfect throw.
Kakashi's eye widened just a little trying to hide his astonishment. If things had been different, you could've been a lethal kunoichi.
"But what is life without some challenge..." you stared at the nailed kunai, extended your arm again, and channeled your power to have the blade back in your hand. "I don't want to take the fun away from things. I didn't come here to learn something I already know, anyway," there were no shortcuts. It's one thing to master your power and another to master your moves. You wanted both. Complete control over your body.
You stared at the target with a killing look, grabbed the kunai tightly, and with one strong move, threw it with all your determination.
But it landed god knows where.
"FUUUUUUCKK!!!!" you yelled, defeated.
Kakashi grabbed a Kunai from your pocket and looked at you like asking you to pay attention. He threw the kunai with an elegant, soft move.
"Fuck you Kakashi, not only do you have perfect aim but you're also graceful as a ballerina. How do you do it? I bet that Kunai enjoyed being thrown through the air like" and you opened your arms and pretended you were floating, "I also want to fly through the air... will you throw me?"
 Kakashi rolled his eye and smiled. "Get back to training," he said looking at you. You pouted but did as he said.
 You took a deep breath before you placed yourself in position. Kakashi stared at you, without giving it much thought he mimicked your movement which led him to step closer to you. That made you lose focus and you turned your eyes to him.
"Uh- you're not using your core the way you should, that's why they always go sideways, look, you'd have to-" he placed himself behind you to help you understand the motion. His hands guided your arms as he explained what to do with your core, "Get it?"
Took you an instant to recover your breath. Had he not realized he'd been speaking the instructions to your ear? Was he seducing you? You turned your gaze to meet his and focused on the feeling of his chakra.
 Nope. Everything seemed normal. He had not realized. Until he met your gaze too and you stared into each other's eyes.  With an awkward stutter, he took a step back to distance himself, "Care to try it again?"
You nodded and took a deep breath. Your heart was starting to race but you didn't want him to notice. It was probably too late though.
Then again you took a deep breath to focus and threw the kunai. It slammed against the wooden target and fell to the floor. You gasped. It was the first time you had managed to hit it. Next step: Stick the tip of the kunai into it.
You turned to Kakashi to find a satisfied grin on his face. He looked at you from the corner of his eye and said. "Well, I think my job is done." He headed off to the exit. When he noticed you didn't follow him he looked back at you.
"I'm gonna stay here until I get this fucking shit done right, have fun with your meeting" you waved goodbye and returned to your doings.
A smirk grew on his face. Your stubbornness reminded him of someone. A certain man that would climb mountains with a hand on his back over and over again.
What are you trying to prove, YN?
You didn't have to prove anything to anyone. Your family never expected anything from you but obedience. That for you it represented giving up your will. Over the years you had learned that if one day everything was missing, the only thing that would remain would be precisely that: your will. The only person you wanted to prove anything to, was yourself...
And you weren't going to walk out of the fucking training camp until you got that stupid shit done right.
Hours passed by, your arms got tired of the exercise but you didn't stop. Throw after throw you felt your body accustoming to the motion Kakashi showed you. Now and then you took a moment to rest your body from the numbness taking over, and went back to practice.
Suddenly, a sharp sound.
You had hit the target and nailed the kunai this time. You grinned. Finally. Now you had to be able to do it more than once and you'll be satisfied enough to leave and rest.
It got dark, the moon came out, the training grounds emptied, but your good throws were so arbitrary you didn't feel ready to call it quits.
You were about to give up from exhaustion when you hit the target twice in a row, and then a third and fourth and fifth and sixth and seventh time!! And though they didn't all hit the center they were all nailed in the wood and perfectly still.
"YEEEEEEEESSSS!!" you screamed so loud you scared some birds that should've been sleeping. Raising your hands to the sky in a sign of victory, you let yourself fall back on the ground and closed your eyes not only satisfied but proud. You only wished Kakashi had shown you the trick much sooner.
Kakashi...
You smiled at the memory of him so close to you. He hadn't hesitated before touching you. That had to mean something, right? He trusted you enough to get close to you without thinking. That had to be a good sign. Even if after he realized it all turned awkward. It was a start. Your heart felt happy. It had been a good day. Good company and a lesson learned. It had only taken you hours to complete the task. About a hundred hours, but still, you felt you could now rest peacefully.
**********
Shinobi life was not comfortable and rarely happy. Too much loss and too many wounds. But at that moment Kakashi could swear without fear of being wrong that bureaucracy was worse than any mission. And having to endure a meeting for hours with people who are not capable of reaching an agreement had left him annoyed. He was dying to get home for dinner and a bath. Surely he would also read for a while before going to sleep. It was a full moon night and Bull had destroyed his curtains a couple of days ago trying to catch a bird that had sneaked into his home so the light wouldn't let him sleep that easy anyway.
As he walked by the training grounds the memory of your scent so close to him earlier in the morning flooded his thoughts, and a feeling of discomfort and maybe even shame flooded his body. How could he be so disrespectful invading your space like that? He hoped you hadn't stayed on the training grounds to avoid walking with him. He enjoyed your little (sometimes not so little) chats. You were his friend. At least he thought of you as his friend. Would you think of him as your friend too?
Maybe not...
Does it matter Kakashi?
Maybe not...
He decided not to dwell on the matter and that he simply would not touch you again to get rid of doubts and problems, he didn't want to scare you away.
His eyes searched the spot where you'd been as he wondered if you had achieved your goal. Would he see your progress next time? He smirked. He probably would, you always leveled up each training. When would he see you again? You hadn't settled the next session.
His eyes stopped when they bumped onto a familiar figure lying on the ground. It was you. What were you doing?
He walked towards you, hands in his pockets, only to find that you had fallen asleep. Many kunais were lying on the floor and, nailed on the wood, seven of them perfectly still. He smiled proudly. So you had done 'this shit right'.
STUBBORN GIRL.
 He leaned down to wake you up.
"YN," he whispered as his hand moved your shoulder gently, "YN, wake up," but instead of waking up, you took a deep breath and turned to your side. He looked around thinking what to do. But it was too late and there weren't many options. He looked back at you tenderly and stroked your hair. Maybe he'll postpone the part of not touching you for later. He carried you in his arms and left the training grounds jumping on trees and buildings to get to your house faster. The oscillation made you open your eyes and somehow understand what was going on but it wasn't enough to wake you up.
Until he reached your doorstep. He hesitated for a moment, not sure if putting you to bed could be considered trespassing. Maybe it was disrespectful... Maybe that was crossing a line... He had crossed enough lines for one day, he thought.
When you realized you were at your door you made an effort to wake up. Kakashi helped you stand.
"Thanks for carrying me home" you yawned.
"I've been told the training grounds aren't a good place to sleep," he smiled at you. You smiled back almost completely asleep.
"Good night, Kakashi."
"Sleep tight, YN"
A little help - Iruka Umino
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iruka x reader (fluff)
Tumblr media
“Iruka-sensei, Naruto! I’m so glad I bumped into you.”
Naruto smiles at me with his mouth full of ramen, Iruka offers me a short smile.
“Actually, I wanted to ask you a favor, Iruka-sensei.”
“Sure, what is it?”
“The thing is my little sister wants to take the Academy exam next year and I was wondering if you would consider being her mentor,” I ask shyly. “I would pay for the lessons, of course.”
“Oh, yes,” he sounds a little surprised. “I can make some space for her. Are you free on the evenings?” we both get slightly flustered at the implications of his question. “I meant, if your sister is free,” he clarifies, the skin beneath his scar tinted with red.
“She is, we both are.” I chuckle trying to sound cool and casual and not like I’m totally freaking out (because I am). Truth be told, I’ve always liked Iruka but I don’t think he has ever seen me as a potential love interest.
Iruka clears his throat. “We could meet at the training grounds tomorrow, is that good?”
“It is. You’re the best, Iruka-sensei.” He nods slowly.
“Can I get another bowl of ramen?” Naruto interrupts, looking at Iruka with puppy eyes.
“Just one more, Naruto.”
“Maaa, you are only this nice when Y/n is around.” Iruka gasps and places a hand on Naruto’s shoulder, squeezing it. My heart starts racing and my cheeks flush bright red.
“Naruto!”
“It was a joke! Iruka-sensei is always nice! He is, I swear!” the blonde boy cries as he tries to shake Iruka’s grasp off his shoulder.
“W-well then, I must head out. See you tomorrow, Iruka-sensei, goodbye Naruto.” I blurt before hurrying outside Ichiraku.
————-
“You are mean.” I whisper to Mizu’s ear. “You know the path perfectly well, you didn’t need me to come.”
“What if I got lost?” she replies swaying her lashes, trying to sound innocent. I roll my eyes at her and she sticks out her tongue playfully.
Our parents passed away a few years ago and sometimes I’m afraid I’m not good enough at this big-sister-mom thing. Maybe I shouldn’t even let her take the Academy test, after all the life of a shinobi is tough and dangerous. But the spark on her eyes when she talks about her dreams, about how she’ll be the first ninja in our family, is too much to handle for my fragile heart and I know I’ll support her in any way I can.
As we turn the corner to the training grounds, I spot Iruka holding a book near a tree. Our eyes meet and he waves cheerfully as he starts walking our way.
“Oh! He’s the man you’re always drawing! The one with a scar in his nose!” Mizu screams excited, instantly my face gets all flustered, even the tips of my ears are burning.
What a snitch!
Iruka’s eyes widen, his cheeks inked with a red hue. I wrap my arms around Mizu, covering her mouth with my hand.
“She’s kidding, she’s a very imaginative girl.” Pathetically, I try to excuse myself. “This is Iruka-sensei and you are going to behave well.”
Iruka smiles politely and I soften my grip on Mizu. She takes a step forward and reaches out for Iruka’s hand.
“My name is Mizu, are you a ninja?”
“It’s nice to meet you, Mizu, and yes I am a ninja.” Iruka says with a warm smile while shaking Mizu’s hand with such seriousness as if he was shaking the Hokage’s. I’ve always admired his patience with children, I hope Mizu’s not a handful. “Are you ready to start your training?”
In response, Mizu nods vigorously and starts rambling on how she’s gonna beat everyone and learn every jutsu there ever existed and… oh! how she’s gonna learn to summon a red giant scary dragon.
“I should get going, what time should I pick her up?” I intervene on Mizu’s speech, eager to run home and eat dango while crying out my embarrassment from earlier.
“You could stay… I mean most parents do.”
“I don’t want to intrude.” I just want to run away and eat my feelings. “And I have some stuff to take care of, maybe next time.”
“Okay then, I think two hours would be enough.”
Awkwardly, I nod before ducking to kiss Mizu’s forehead.
“Please be nice, Mizu.” I say as I take her hands and pull her to me. “Don’t play dirty or I’ll tell Hako you like his bunny teeth.” I whisper only for her to hear. My sister shakes her head frantically at my threatening eyes.
“Wait! Uhhm. So…” Iruka swallows hard. “Now that we both have been exposed by our kids… I was thinking that maybe we could grab dinner after Mizu’s lessons… if you want of course.”
Is this real life? Is he trying to pull a joke on me? No, no, he’s too kind for that.
Does he actually want to go out with me? I think I’m about to faint.
“I would really like that, Iruka-sensei.” I reply with a low tone as I pull myself together.
“Please drop the sensei, just Iruka.”
“I’ll come back later, Iruka.” I mumble shyly as a foolish smile forms on my lips.
Shit, I’m sure I’m blushing like a schoolgirl.
I turn around and my head starts running. What am I going to wear? Should I put some make-up on? Maybe I should take a bath and use my special lavender soap. Oh dear, the next two hours are going to be crazy.
Before I leave, Mizu runs to me and grabs my arm.
“You owe me, big time,” she winks naughtily before running back to her new sensei and my future date.
So for the Mutual Pining prompt for KakaIru Valentine’s Week 2022, I got inspired to write a song... 👀 DISCLAIMER: I am super nervous about sharing it because I’m singing, and I’m not a very confident singer. I was just going to post the piano, but I felt like it need a voice to it, so I decided to suck it up and share my voice. I am not a trained singer, and honestly I don’t even know how I managed to talk myself into doing this (let’s blame @mandapandabug20 for encouraging me XD), so please be kind and go easy on me 😅
Now that that’s out of the way, when I started writing the music, I pictured Kakashi & Iruka having feelings for each other, and when they’re talking, they’re battling with themselves, trying to decide whether to say something or not; and then when they walk off, they turn around to look at one another, but always miss seeing the other looking at them, too.
Then one day, when they’re looking back, they make eye contact, and realise that the other shares the same feelings as them; and they return to each other, and live happily ever after, and so forth.
Please use headphones for best experience! If you’d like to read along to the lyrics, they’re under the cut! ❤️
The Way I Feel (About You)
VERSE 1 (00:23)
 For as long as I can remember,
I have had my eyes on you.
You have always been in my vision,
And in my future, too.
 But when I try to reach out,
I turn ice cold with fear.
What am I doing?
I need to get out of here.
 BRIDGE (00:55)
 One day I
Might be brave
And say the words that I need to say
 But that time
Is not now.
Goodbye baby.
 CHORUS (01:10)
 I wish that I could tell you
How I'm feeling inside.
I think I love you,
And I wish you'd love me, too.
 VERSE 2 (01:24)
 But it's a dream,
and I have to let it go,
No matter how much
my heart is saying no.
 I need to keep
All my feelings in check,
‘Coz I am not ready
To share them yet.
 BRIDGE (01:38)
 One day I
Might be brave
And say the words that I need to say
 But that time
Is not now.
Goodbye baby.
 CHORUS (01:52)
 I wish that I could tell you
How I'm feeling inside.
I think I love you,
And I wish you'd love me, too.
 TURNING POINT (02:06)
 Wait, what the hell is happening?
When I turned back, you were looking at me.
Your gaze, it just connected with mine.
What a pretty smile.
 Oh no, now you're walking to me,
And my feet are taking me to you.
Our hearts are beating as one.
I hear a symphony.
 CHORUS (02:31)
 I can finally tell you
How I'm feeling inside.
I really love you,
And I know you love me, too.
 Come on over here
And give me a kiss.
Let's be together.
We have both been wanting this.
 END (03:23)
 I love you
So much.
You mean the world to me.
 Will you
Be mine
Forever, baby?
Ch. 22
Darkness has fallen over Konoha, but this time the early night walk leads Kakashi and his mystery woman ambling down the streets towards the housing reserved for the jōnin and higher-ups who haven’t got their own real estate.
Apparently, Uguisu has been more or less ordered to live in an apartment there and her own reasoning is, as she’s explaining, that it’ll be easier to keep an eye on her. “That way...there’s no need to have anyone assigned to follow me 24/7, like Mitarashi...”
Makes sense – both the arrangement and the fact it’s Anko keeping an eye on things right now. “Is she’s gonna be your warden?”
“I dunno...” They’ve reached the complex on the Academy grounds and she takes the lead up the stairs towards her new home. “I suppose I’ll find out tomorrow if it hasn’t decided already...”
Leaving the staircase and coming to a halt, Kakashi realizes it’s an apartment wedged in between the homes of fellow jōnin. That’s not a coincidence. Handing the stack of books over to free her hands, Uguisu procures a key, unlocks and opens the door, but then holds out her arms for the borrowed goods in a clear but polite hint that he’s not invited inside. Can’t blame you. It gnaws inside him nonetheless, even if the jōnin doesn’t show the concern – he would much have preferred to make sure everything was as it should be indoors before leaving her alone.
“Well,” he nods resolutely, “if you need anything...”
She looks small and sickly in the unnatural light of the outdoor lamp. Dark bags under her eyes are suddenly prominent, the less than completely sincere smile unable of pushing away the grim demeanour. Still...there’s also an air of something calm about the woman. She’s hopeful, and that warms Kakashi’s heart.
“Thank you,” she hums.
He waits til she has closed the door. No footsteps? Perhaps she remains standing just on the other side of that barrier, perhaps it’s just the hopeless imagination of a man in trouble, either way he has to force his legs into action or he would have stayed there the entire night.
...
Among the shinobi comrades, Kakashi is often equalled with tardiness. He knows this. It's never his intention to be late and he always gets up and gets ready in time, but there's one stop he has to make at some point during the day and once there...old friends are hard to say goodbye to. All that remains of them is a memorial build in their (and many others') honour and visiting the site somehow detaches the living from time while granting them a brief respite surrounded by memories. Sometimes the faces of old are smiling. Often, though, the emptiness they've left behind is tainted by bitterness at the evil that stole these people away too soon.
Today was different. This morning, the white-haired jōnin lingered for no more than five minutes before hurrying off to see to his students because he was adamant, the day's training must be finished before the Recruits' classes ended. Needless to say, Team 7 greeted him with stunned silence as they arrived later than their sensei and none of them opposed the day's curriculum either.
"Who is she? Really?"
Kakashi glances over at the black-haired boy who's sitting in the grass with the lunchbox open. "You mean Uguisu."
The two other (yes, even Naruto) stop eating, favouring instead to listen and hopefully have their curiosity satisfied. There's no doubt they will take matters into their own hands and dig around if the many questions aren't answered soon, but...it's not my place to tell anyone and they have no reason to know. Turning the page of his favourite Icha Icha volume, the senior considers his options which could be better because, truth be told, even if Kakashi technically knows more than them, what he can tell will only lead to more speculation. He had hoped for news this morning only to be disappointed at the slow decision making. And the woman at the centre of the uncertainty? She'd left early for class.
"As I said yesterday," he mutters, "she's a friend from far away. She'll be staying here in Konoha and...maybe become one of our shinobi."
Oh yes, the kids are itching to find out more.
"Why does she have to do Academy classes?"
Sasuke is the one to answer the girl. "The Hidden Villages' schools don't teach the same things. If she's from somewhere with a very different choice of subjects then she might not have learned the things we take for granted. Right?" The last part is addressed to Kakashi who merely nods in agreement.
"What was her name?" Naruto has never had a great memory – a trait generally vital to ninjas.
"Minami Uguisu." And it fits her too. "Well! Better get back to work. How's it looking?"
They've been testing out a variety of knots and other rope-works. Some with better results than others.
...
Soon, the open area in front of the Academy will be swarming with kids as they flee from the last lesson of the day either to play or return home, but right now the only sign of life is Hayase about 20 meters up in the tree with his legs dangling lazily.
"Bird watching?" Kakashi calls out to him.
The chunin nods. "And revisiting the boring days from when I was little." He does look like someone who was half asleep only a moment ago – or at least wishing he had been.
"Gonna take her off your hands the rest of the day." Already walking through the front doors, whatever the assigned shadow says remains unheard.
Some of the little students acknowledge Kakashi as they rush past him on their way to freedom once more bu thankfully it isn’t long before the path is clear and the jōnin can enter the classroom without fear of toppling anyone over. Only two people are left: Iruka who’s gathering a wad of papers that probably are assignments, and the blue-haired girl that’s been haunting him regardless of being asleep or awake.
“Ah, I see they got a hold of you,” Iruka smiles at his friend who doesn’t admit he hasn’t been contacted, “that’s good! It seems my work with Uguisu’s gonna be fairly easy.”
The woman in question has joined the two men at the teacher’s dais, her arms laden with the borrowed books and a few pencils. Today, she’s tucked her hair into a messy bun which allows a peek at the curve of her neck. Pretty. It’s hard for Kakashi to focus, but he fights his attention back to the words flowing from the teacher.
“There are...some areas we need to cover, but none connected to the theoretical works of a shinobi.”
“What he means,” Uguisu smiles, “is that I’m a disaster when it comes to math or history, for example.”
Oh? Watching a blush grow and fade rapidly on Iruka’s face, some corner of the white-haired jōnin's guts tighten in protest before the brain catches up with excuses or explanations – all of which are necessary as he hasn’t been able to ignore the distance the woman keeps between her and anyone else. Including him. Less than 48 hours ago, he’d been kissing her, feeling her reciprocate and making his heart sing...then the dream ended and a nightmare unfolded, and now she’s pulled away.
“Well, that’s quickly fixed,” Iruka promises, “however!” He turns to fully to Kakashi at this, slapping a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “As her warden, I hope you’ll remind her to hand in the written assignments regardless of their simplicity and ensure she’s capable of applying theory to the practical training you’ll be overseeing.”
I’m her...? YES! None would have known how happy the revelation makes Kakashi just like they would be ignorant of the fact that he, until this moment, had had no clue of his role in the relation to Uguisu’s potential as a Leaf Shinobi going forward.
“Hai, I’ll keep her busy with studying,” the warden nods.
Part 1  Part 2 Part 4
Kakashi was angry, mainly at himself, you had not returned to Konoha and when his dogs tried to track you down they failed, the grove where he had last seen you was empty, your blood dried on the ground but the dogs found no trace, it was as if you vanished. The man was grateful that Naruto was traveling with Jiraiya, because otherwise he would be creating a scandal that would make him feel worse, because he saw how you looked at him when you fell to the ground, sad and disappointed, would you have left of your own free will?
-Let's go back-Genma was still determined to find a trace but they had to return to officially report their disappearance and decide what to do and it was raining, looking for more didn't make sense, the remaining trail would be about to be erased. The gray-haired man closed his eyes for a few seconds, feeling the rain, you liked it, you had told him many times, you liked the smell that storms brought and the one they left after.
"I can't believe you left her alone," the long-haired man murmured, Kakashi didn't say anything because he was right, he also couldn't believe that his irrational anger with her had caused all that -What were you thinking Kakashi?
Again there was no response from the gray-haired man and Gemma kept pressing -You know, (YN) said something to me a few weeks ago, that you didn't want to be serious with her and that's why you had discussed. Did you let that interfere up to this point ?
-Of course it´s like her to tell the world that kind of things - he replied tiredly, avoiding the rest of the question.
-It´s not something that only she does, we are friends and after finding her crying i forced her to tell me, I don't know how your relationship worked but it was destroying her.
Kakashi didn´t answer, the silence seemed to be his best answer and thus he kept it all the way back to Konoha, he had never wanted the type of relationship he had with the you to be discussed by the village, because he was not even sure what kind of relationship did he wanted , but of course with you things never worked as one wanted and that was one of the reasons why Kakashi despite loving you in some way, he couldn´t bear with you on certain occasions.
"If (YN) was her sweet-self all the time, i wouldn´t have those doubts"  that´s where Kakashi´s mind arrived, because after all, it was that side of you that had made him surrender to you.
You were going up and down in the small apartment, you were remarkably busy, so Kakashi decided to stay at the window watching what you were doing until you noticed or you were done.
-Kakashi-senpai, what are you doing there?
-Naruto forgot her things-he said entering the apartment-and you don't have to call me Senpai, we are no longer in ANBU.
You smiled at the comment and nodded.
-Of course he forgot, I think he hardly slept because of how excited he is -you said smiling as you finished packing food in various boxes.
-Do you think he will pass?- He asked, leaning on the kitchen counter, arms folded. You nodded again.
-If you have recommended them for the exam is because they, I trust your criteria.
-Do not trust my criteria, trust their abilities.
-Isn't that what your criteria is based on?-You asked finally finishing packing everything and giving it to him.
-What is this?- He asked confused.
-It is four food rations, three for the boys and one for you, I know that these exams are not easy for them or for you.
For some reason you had blushed while giving him the food and it was difficult for you to look at him in the eyes, with effort you raised your eyes and found his visible eye in the shape of a crescent moon, his free hand rested on your head -So sweet (YN)...
The comment made you blush even more and you looked at the floor, his hand still on your head, stroking your hair, you smiled nervously and pointed to one of the doors-Naruto's things are in his room.
Kakashi rubbed his face, why had he remembered that while waiting for Tsunade to receive them? His head kept spinning, "had i really treated (YN) so bad?"
-Kakashi have you heard?
-No, this ..... I was thinking-he apologized while Iruka continued talking, not only was Gemma angry with him, Iruka was also, although he didn't say it. If Naruto was like his son, (YN) was like his sister.
-ANBU returning from a mission found this-pointed the Hokage towards the table, on it a bloody sword and next to it a piece of cloth- the problem is that it was very far from the area where (YN) was supposed to be and there are other scents.
-Then ... she did not leave on her own-Iruka concluded what everyone thought-Are you going to create a search party?
The Hokage nodded-I'll send team 8.
-Not me?
-I'm sorry, Kakashi, but it's the best team to track a missing person.
-Add me to the team -he protested leaning on the table- it's my responsibility, I'm the one who left her there.
-Kakashi is right-said Iruka. Kurenai can't handle it, she has to deal with ...
-All right, you will leave tomorrow, in the found objects there is still a trace of the other people so I will find her , don't worry.
The man went straight to his apartment, he didn't want to meet anybody else, he didn't want any more questions or comments about what happened, he thought of going to the hospital to see how Yona was, but he didn't feel like it either. When he opened the door to the apartment, the darkness and the emptiness hit him, since Naruto was not in Konoha, the normal thing was that you would have stayed with him and when he opened the door you would turn on all the lights quickly to go to the kitchen, open the fridge and scold him for having it empty or if you had not arrived together, you would already be there, perched on the sofa, eating something and reading a book and then you would tell him the whole story several times and repeat yourself more than necessary because you always lost yourself in your own narration.
Kakashi didn't understand why he was starting to miss it at that moment, when he had had plenty of time to do it, it had been weeks or maybe even two months since your last discussion, which ended it all.
Maybe it was because he kept seeing you around the village and  knew you were safe, that he had not thought about the solitude of the apartment, because despite the endless discussions you had always come back and deep down, maybe he assumed that this time was the same.
Kakashi was disappointed, you knew, he always looked at you like that when something similar happened, his expression of boredom replaced by disgust and disappointment, not wanting to speak to you, but you continued.
-I don't want to see you near me again, you understand?- You almost shouted at the boy in the face, he looked at you trembling and nodded nervously before turning and leaving quickly, people around you looked and murmured by the scene they just witnessed  "WHAT?" You said loud, looking around and everyone continued with their things.
When the boy was out of your sight, Kakashi wasn't there either, you found him a few minutes later in his apartment.
-I thought we were going to eat together.
His usual bored expression back, you stood leaning against the door, his body language told you he didn't want you to come in, you clenched your fists ready to get mad at him, but he spoke first.
-Don't throw a tantrum on me (YN) I don't have time for that.
-You have nothing to do for two days or at least you said that three hours ago.
-I changed my mind-with the book in his hand he started to close the door but you stopped him with your foot, opening it and going inside, to the clear chagrin of the man who was pinching the bridge of his nose clearly reluctantly.
-Is this change in attitude because I rejected that guy a while ago?
-Aren't you able to see what you've done wrong?
-I'm not a kid, don't talk to me like you're educating me, besides, shouldn't you be jealous or something like that?
Kakashi's expression was unreadable at the time, he simply denied as if giving up and dropped onto the sofa reading his book-You can come back when you realize, until then, goodbye, close the door well when you leave.
Fed up with his attitude you threw your bag at his face, making him put the book aside -What's your fucking problem? -You yelled exasperated by the situation, all you wanted was a quiet date on your day off and in the end you finished like that.
-My problem is this, you can't be cruel to someone just because they ask for a date and then come and yell and throw things at me -he said getting up and filling the door to open it, standing aside, as a gesture for you to leave.
-It's the fifth time this week that this guy is chasing me to "ask me on a date", sometimes it´s necessary to be cruel with assholes who don't understand no, so fuck off Kakashi, I have every right to shout and get mad-you walked even the door facing him-you are the one who is being irrational and I don't understand it -you went out on the landing and he closed the door without saying anything else- sometimes I don't understand you-you murmured before leaving, confused, angry and sad.
That had been one of the infinite discussions you had, but you always fixed it, except for the last one, despite that Kakashi kept finding your things around his apartment, books, some glasses for the tea that you had brought, a kettle, the toothbrush , spare clothes...everything was as if at any moment you were going to walk through the door and hug him or complain about something and again Kakashi, while taking one of your books, wondered why he had taken so long to miss you and feel that nostalgia.
He took the bookmark inside, it was a craft that Naruto had given you many years ago, it was shrill as the boy but adorned with daisies, he removed it from the book and put it in his jacket - I'm going to find you.
Sorry, but now I'm imagining little Sasuke trying to sneak into Itachi and his alpha's shared bed and sleeping between them in order to "protect" his big bro from his alpha. And when either of them(most likely Itachi) kindly refuses him, he pulls 'but I had a nightmare' card 😂
(This is phenomenal, anon, thank you so much for sharing. I honestly am so pleased for an excuse to write more of little!Sasuke’s shenanigans with his older brother’s mate.)
Sasuke concocts many plans to try and separate his beloved brother and the evil alpha who is taking advantage of him.
And sure, none of them have worked so far, but this one is going to work for sure!
He’s going to stop that alpha from taking his brother’s innocence! Because Iruka told them all about gross stuff that couples do, and Sasuke didn’t totally get it, but he certainly isn’t going to let someone do that to his brother, no way! (You’re too late Sasuke, I’m sorry to have to tell you this…)
Hence his plan:
He’s going to get in the middle of them at night! There’s no way that won’t work!
So, he goes to talk to Itachi!
“Big brother,” Sasuke draws out, trying to be as cute as possible so Itachi can’t say no. “C-Can I sleep in your room tonight?”
Itachi raises a single eyebrow but turns to give Sasuke his full attention.
“Why?”
“Because… er… because Kakashi sensei says we’re going on a mission soon and I’ll miss you,” Sasuke let the pride of coming up with a plausible response smooth over the embarrassment of asking such a thing.
Itachi startles slightly, but smiles.
“We will have plenty of time to see each other in the daytime, little brother, and I will walk you to the village gate to say goodbye. Kakashi senpai is a very capable shinobi, so you shouldn’t worry too much.”
Itachi then pokes Sasuke on the forehead and leaves him scowling at the ruined fragments of his plan.
Oh well, on to plan two.
Sasuke’s second plan is a lot more embarrassing, so it was his second plan for a reason, but desperate times call for desperate measure.
He can handle some embarrassment if it means protecting his big brother, he’s a shinobi after all!
And so, plan two commences!
Steeling himself, Sasuke knocks on his brother’s bedroom door where he and his alpha are currently staying. Sasuke had gone upstairs a few hours ago and pretended to sleep, but Itachi and his alpha had only gone to bed about twenty minutes ago, so it was the perfect time!!
*knock knock*
Sasuke hears some shuffling and muffled swearing from behind the door before a vaguely irritated Itachi’s voice calls him in. Sasuke must have been just in time! Itachi sounds irritated, that stupid alpha must have upset him!
Creaking open the door, Sasuke steps in.
“Big brother,” Sasuke calls, trying to pretend to be sleepy. “Can I sleep in here tonight? I had a nightmare.”
Sasuke rubs his eyes for a moment for effect before looking up to his brother to see his reaction.
Itachi narrows his eyes at him like he knows something is going on, but Sasuke just smiles sweetly in return.
Itachi’s evil alpha clears their throat awkwardly.
“I’ll just be in the bathroom,” they say, before hobbling to the bathroom, and they’re holding a pillow in front of them for some reason. Oh well, it doesn’t matter, he managed to scare them away for now at least.
“What game are you playing, Sasuke?” Itachi’s firm voice brings Sasuke out of his musings.
“I’m not doing anything, I just had a nightmare,” Sasuke starts before noticing something was different with Itachi. “Hey, your hair is all messed up, what happened?”
Itachi’s face takes on an uncharacteristic blush.
“Nothing, it’s just… messed up from laying down, that’s all.”
“And… is that a bruise on your neck!? Did that awful person hurt you? Tell me and I’ll get cousin Shisui to help me deal with them!”
Itachi blushes even more and covers his neck with his shirt.
“No, it was just an accident, Sasuke,” he says, but Sasuke can tell he’s lying, that awful alpha probably did it to him! “What are you doing in here anyway, and tell the truth this time?”
“What?” Sasuke gasps in fake offence. “I already told you, I had a nightmare.”
“Uh huh,” Itachi says in a way that makes it obvious he doesn’t believe Sasuke and has run out of patience. “Go back to bed, Sasuke.”
At that moment, the alpha comes out of the bathroom, pillow gone now, and kneels down beside Sasuke.
“You had a nightmare, little one?”
Sasuke bristles at the tone and the condescending name.
“Yeah,” he deadpans. “You died.”
“Aww,” you coo. “That’s what made you upset?”
“No, dream me laughed so hard I hurt myself.”
“Sasuke!” Itachi reprimands from his position sitting up in bed. “That is not a kind thing to say to people. It’s past your bedtime, go to bed.”
Sasuke huffs.
“Fine, but you have to tuck me in!”
“Sasuke,” Itachi starts, exasperated.
“Yeah, Itachi,” the alpha laughs. “Go and tuck him in.”
Itachi glares at his alpha, nervously fiddling with the blankets pooled around his waist.
“Go and get into bed, Sasuke, I’ll be through in a minute.”
“No,” Sasuke objects, not wanting to leave his brother alone with that alpha anymore than necessary. “Come now.”
Itachi purses his lips, the flush returning, while his alpha giggles in the corner.
“Yeah, Itachi,” they grin. “Why not stand up and go now?”
“You’re not helping,” Itachi hisses.
The alpha laughs one more time before putting a hand on Sasuke’s shoulder and leading him out of the room, despite Sasuke’s protests.
“Go to bed and Itachi will be through in a minute.”
Just before the door closes, Sasuke sees the alpha throw a pair of pyjama trousers at Itachi. Why on earth would Itachi need two pairs of pyjama trousers? This alpha is weird and obviously bad news.
Sasuke would just have to make his case when Itachi came to tuck him in.
Different Ways - Kakashi Hatake ( Part 1)
Hi, is me again. I hope that alllll you enjoy!
~Gif isn't mine~
Tumblr media
I was not a ninja, had given up on this idea after my brother died because of the profession, protecting the village, killed himself before the enemies found him to hide our clan's secrets, I had even graduated from the academy but the trauma it was too big to go on with it. Being a teacher at the gym was something that really wasn't in my plans, don't get me wrong, I really loved teaching the language to those kids but my dream was to travel the world and write stories. I have never been to the Shinobi world and have always hated everything related to him, had seen several deaths of my former students and this is not what a teacher wants. I always hated this world until Kakashi came into my life.
At first I didn't really understand why he was interested in me because, you see, I wasn't in that world to understand his position. But even so, he always came to the mini library I had made to encourage the children to read. I always wondered what he wanted since he always read the same book. When he called me out to be totally embarrassed, I simply lost my speech but agreed, as we were going to discuss some books. After a few meetings, far off I must add because of his available time, I found myself in a paradox, hated the Shinobi world and was in love with a ninja.
I never had the courage to tell Kakashi how I felt, and the man never opened, it was killing me. Kakashi had gone on a Naruto mission and all the new members of the sheet, which made me really worried, I worried about him.
Leaving the gym with Iruka, the man told me how Konohamaru defended Naruto to his friends and I smiled. Naruto always tried to escape from me in class but I was never afraid of the fox, and just like Iruka, I tried to encourage him to the fullest, despite the vocabulary that made me want to hit him many times. He was a good boy.
“Are you going to the library?” He asked, nodding in her direction.
"I don't know yet," I said with a shrug.
"Are you worried about him?" Iruka asked and I got scared. "Seriously, you live walking together in the village, full of laughs and smiles. All you have to do is hold hands to be the perfect couple." It kept making me blush. "It's my job as a best friend to realize these things"
"I am, I didn't want to go back to this world" I answered and he understood. Iruka knew my story, how difficult it was for me to get into jutsu, chakra and so on. I hated talking about it but it was necessary for the sake of children.
"I think I'll walk a little," I decided and he nodded, giving me goodbye. I walked to the great Bridges of Konoha, leaning there to think for a moment. At that moment I saw a child by the river, I had never seen her, and considering that I saw all the children in Konoha, that said a lot.
I walked slowly to her, not to scare. She looked at me with frightened eyes and I realized that now her shirt was bloody. I hurried and sat down, the bridges were near one of the village entrances, and near the forest as well.
'Hey, what happened to you?' I asked worriedly wanting to solve her problem. She could barely speak, just pointed at the forest in time for me to react to a fireball coming towards us.
"Fumetsu no tate" I shouted and my shield inmortal appeared, one of my Tsydoi clan's inheritances. I felt the enemy approaching and moved away from the child, I did not want her to hurt herself further. I began to walk by the river, assessing the enemy. He had done several missions to the village before giving up. I grabbed my ribbon and focused my chakra on it, thinking of using my wind whip jutsu. I whipped him forward and sent him into the middle of me, saw the cuts he was making and got even angrier when he tried to retaliate by sending me a triple wind whip, he tried to escape where he came from but I didn't let him pull him back , I couldn't walk away and leave that defenseless child there.
“Who the hell are you?” He asked angrily
"It doesn't matter to you," I said with the same intensity, punching him in the face.
"Kami no muchi No Jutsu" I unleashed my blow that compares to the pain of a thousand cuts. He doesn't seem to attack, which made me have to counterattack even more.
After countering two blows, my enemy was attacked from behind falling forward. Behind him I saw Kakashi waving at me, followed by a troop of teenagers. I smiled at him and then turned to the child who was looking at me still scared.
“Are you better?” I asked and she still didn't answer me. "Let's get you to the hospital," I said and she denied it. I bent down and she clung to me.
"I'm scared" She said and I understood.
"If I go with you? I promise you'll be safe here," I said and she agreed holding my hand tightly already. She shouldn't even be 4 years old, I picked her up and she snuggled into me. I saw everyone looking at me and looked bland.
"We're sorry about that," Kakashi started and I didn't understood. "Rescuing her was our mission but we had some problems down the road"
"It's ok, I'll take her to the hospital Kashi, she's in shock but from what I evaluated, it's ok." I clarified for them that they smiled with relief. All the teens knew me, I had taught everyone. "Maybe you should go to the village, I bet you're tired. Someone to go to the hospital? Enjoy the ride" I asked and everyone denied it. Kakashi reached me, giving me a kiss on the cheek, I understood that he would keep me company, since the girl who now rested in my arms was his mission.
“Whose daughter is she?” I asked curiously as usual.
"From the feudal lord of the land of fire," he replied and I looked at him with fear. The feudal lord's daughter had been kidnapped. The girl now sighed on my shoulder, we walked to the hospital, catching up on some chats
"You look tired," I commented, watching his gaze as he scratched his neck. "What kind of problems did you have?"
"One of the great ones" he answered, his voice heavy with weariness.
"I see, I hope everything gets right" I said with a half smile, the girl straightened up and I smiled.
"You'll be a great mom" he said, watching me and I was embarrassed.
"I don't see myself raising a family"
"But protect one as a wolf protects the pack"
I was silent, watching Kakashi analyze me all the time.
"I didn't know you knew Tsydoi No Justu" commented as one who wants nothing and I sighed
"I'm from the clan, you should know" I shrugged, wanting to get off the subject. My brother was a pride to Konoha, as well as to my parents. I didn't want to go this way because of the pain, it didn't matter to me if I was the remaining daughter who could do the master Justu.
"I didn't want to touch on a sensitive subject, I'm sorry," said Kakashi and I just smiled. "You are just too good to be played in the gym, study are very important but you have something special" continued and fell silent due to our arrival at the hospital.
The feudal lord was already present, his daughter was placed on a special stretcher, and taken to a special room. Kakashi and I return to the street after learning that the girl was at rest.
"You met my brother," I commented and he looked at me, nodding. I was just starting to gather the dots in my head, it was probably his mission to take me back to the Shinobi world. Probably Hokage have been doing this. We kept walking, me toward my house and he was following me.
My heart was hurting, I was in love with him and he was probably just on a mission. God this was terrible, I was so in love with the man, I could feel my heart break.
I started walking fast, wanting to disappear from the world. I arrived in front of the house and Kakashi stopped me when I was going inside without even talking to him.
“What happened?” He asked with the slight worried tone. I looked into your eyes and felt mine fill with tears.
"It was always a mission right? Obviously it was. You wouldn't get close to me at all, obviously. How stupid I was. You were never interested in me. Jeez and I was liking you, you're just like everyone else, no understands that I can't "I just spoke and he didn't answer me, before I could do anything, saw Kakashi's eyes close and held him before falling to the floor. I widened my eyes and caught him entering the house, put him on my couch, I had learned some medical jutsu, as first aid for children. I took care of him quickly and realized how exhausted the man was. I wanted to kill him. Slowly he opened his eyes, I saw the calm that they overflowed, i watched your mouth move behind the mask and well lowered he spoke
"I like you too. It was never a mission," He whispered and the second he is falling in sleep.
Hello! A while ago, you posted some fan art that you made of something that you tagged as "iruka chan" and "obscure websites". I saw that post and was really interested in what that was about, but I couldn't find any info on it. Could you please explain what/who iruka chan is? Thank you!!
iruka chan is a character from the website goodbye to the dolphin’s dream, which is basically a horror website kinda (warning the website contains loud sounds and flashing lights
shes featured on the front page of the website as a crudely drawn anime girl
there’s also a youtube channel with the same character on it, who uploaded an album recently
the project was made by ATOLS, a vocaloid producer, back when he was studying HTML
so far the only ppl who have rlly covered this channel/site are Goose Boose and LuigiKidGaming, so i’d suggest checking out their videos for more info!
First Love
Inspired by episode 481
This was her happy place. Her sanctuary. Her home away from home. The only other person who knows about this place was her new best friend, Ino.
Until now.
Sakura hears the rustling of leaves and then the sound of a boy’s voice. Quickly, she dives underneath a blanket and clutches her stuffed rabbit.
“Hey, is this your place?”
She blinks underneath the blanket. The voice sounded somewhat familiar. Slowly, she lifts her head from underneath the pink blanket and gasps. “Sasuke-kun?”
“Oh, hey. You’re in my class. Sakura was it?”
She nods meekly as this was the first time she has ever talked to a boy before. But his eyes seem warm and friendly as he stares back at her. It is silent as they stare at each other but finally he breaks the silence again.
“I was trying to look for cosmos around here. I heard they grow near here. Is that true?”
She nods again.
“Do you know where?” he asks.
She nods and points to the outside trees.
“Over there? Can you show me?”
She didn’t really want to. That would require more social interaction than she is used to. And with a boy also. She didn’t know what to say to them. But Ino told her that to get over her fear, she has to be brave and step out of her comfort zone. Which might mean requiring to speak to this boy.
Sakura stands up and the pink blanket around her drops to the floor. Quietly, she marches forward as she leads the way to where the cosmos bloom. She doesn’t turn around to see if he is following but she could hear his footsteps follow closely behind her which only makes her more nervous as she speeds up her pace until they are both ridiculously speed walking for no apparent reason.
She stops suddenly as the grove of trees looms closely in the distance before her. Slowly, she turns around to face Sasuke as she puts her hand out to motion him to stop. “Um, what do you plan to do with the cosmos? You can’t destroy them!”
“I wanted to collect some to make a bouquet for my mother.”
She bites her lower lip. That sounded like destroying her beautiful cosmos. “I.. I can’t let you do that!”
Sasuke scratches his head. “Then... how about just one? Can I have just one?”
Sakura continues to bite her lower lip. She guess one would be okay. As she opens up her mouth to agree, another sound comes out. “No!”
Sasuke looks stunned for a moment as a silence settles over them.
“Because! Even one... even that one cosmo flower’s life is precious...” Sakura’s voice quivers.
“They’re just flowers...”
He wouldn’t understand. Sakura’s eyes starts to brim with tears. “They’re not just flowers. They’re my friends!” Her hands fly to cover her mouth as she realizes how ridiculous she must have sound to him. She knows he probably wouldn’t want to be her friend now. He must think she is crazy for having friends as flowers. But it wasn’t a lie. She watched these flowers bloom from the ground. She watched them dance in the wind and inch up each passing day to collect the sunlight. They didn’t talk but they kept her company in her lonely passing days.
“Then can I... be friends with you and the flowers too?”
Sakura lifts up her head at Sasuke’s sudden suggestion. “Huh?”
“Instead of picking the flower from the ground. What if we dig it up from the roots so that it remains living and replant it in a pot so I can gift it to my mother?”
That sounded like it could work. She wipes away her dried up tears with the back of her hand. “We will need tools. A small shovel and a pot.”
“I can get those. I can come back and meet you in an hour,” Sasuke says.
Sakura nods and he disappears. He came back faster than expected as he appears behind her with the necessary items in half an hour. She had already picked out the prettiest cosmo that she was willing to let him take. She points to it to show him and he nods in approval. Slowly, she takes the small garden shovel as she digs around the delicate flower. Very gently, she transfers the flower and soil to the pot in Sasuke’s hand as she pats it in carefully.
The two of them stare at their creation together.
“Does it look a bit plain?” Sasuke asks, breaking the silence.
Sakura thinks for a moment. Then she reaches for the ribbon in her hair as she pulls it out. “Maybe... maybe if we tie it around the pot like this,” she says softly as she ties a bow around the flower pot with her red ribbon. Her bangs fall over her eyes and she looks away shyly as she presents the newly improved flower pot to Sasuke.
He examines it for a moment and says nothing. He removes the ribbon and hands it back to her. “It’s prettier on you. You keep it.”
Sakura could feel a faint blush creep underneath her cheeks as she reaches for the ribbon. Her fingers grazes against his and she pulls back in shock for a moment before quickly grabbing the ribbon again. “Th-then wait here!” she stammers as she gets up from the ground and begins to run back to her secret cave. Glancing around her hideout, she looks at the blanket and the stuffed animals before looking up at the string of decorations she made with colored paper that she had placed at the doorway. She reaches up for it as she struggles to grab one off.
Clutching the paper flower in her hands, she runs back to the trees where Sasuke was waiting. She didn’t know why she was relieved to see him still sitting there. Maybe she was worried that he would have left during the time she was gone. Slowly, she approaches him from behind as she dangles the paper flower in front of his eyes.
“You made this?” he asks as he takes it from her.
Sakura nods as she sits back down next to him.
“I can have it?” he asks.
She nods again.
He smiles. “Thank you.”
“I hope your mother likes it,” she says softly.
“Me too. Her birthday is in a few days. I’ll make sure to tell her that you helped me with this gift.”
Sakura smiles and nods. “You can come back anytime to visit me here.”
“Anytime?”
Sakura nods again. “Anytime!”
“Okay then. It’s a promise. I’m going to come in at the most unexpected time when you least expect it.”
She laughs. “Spoken like a true shinobi.”
Sasuke gets up and they wave goodbye as she watches him leave to head back home. She feels her heart pounding as she watches his retreating back. It was only when he was gone that her heart rate seems to return to normal. She hopes to see him again. She looks down at the cosmos. Maybe she should plant some around her secret spot. Sasuke would probably enjoy seeing them too.
But Sasuke never did show up unexpectedly as promised. She saw him at school but after a few days, he stopped showing up to school also. She wasn’t sure what was going on so she asked Iruka-sensei but he only had a dark expression each time and said that Sasuke was sick.
“Then can we make a get well card for him? I’m sure he’ll like that. I can go over to his house and deliver it to him!” she says cheerfully.
Iruka-sensei immediately crouched down as he places his hands on Sakura’s shoulders. Sakura gets taken back at the sudden abruptness. “Sakura-chan, listen carefully. You must never go near Sasuke-kun’s house.”
“W-why not?”
“He... he’s contagious. You might catch the germs so you shouldn’t go near his house. I’ll make sure to let him know you guys are thinking of him.”
“Will he come back to class soon?”
“Ah... he will. He just needs time.”
Sakura desperately wanted to believe in those words. But the expression on her teacher’s face tells her otherwise. She wonders if Sasuke was even really sick. She wonders if Sasuke’s mother liked the cosmos flower gift. But most importantly, she wonders if Sasuke likes her as much as she was beginning to like him.
After Academy, she heads to her secret spot. Lying down on top of her blanket, she stares up at the ceiling. Her fingers mindlessly plays with the ends of the red ribbon in her hair as she twirls it around her index finger. She suddenly recalls Sasuke’s words and she blushes as she covers her face up in embarrassment. Maybe it was better that Sasuke wasn’t showing up. She feels like she would act like a fool around him now if she wasn’t doing so already. Without meaning to, she drifts into sleep as she slips into a dream about him.
In it, she sees him approaching her hideout with the paper flower in his hands.
“Sasuke-kun! You’re all better now! How are you feeling?”
He doesn’t answer but he holds out the paper flower.
“Did you paint it? It’s slightly red at the corners.”
He shakes his head. “Thank you for helping me that day.”
“Does your mother like the cosmos flower?”
“I’m sure she did.”
“What’s wrong Sasuke-kun? Why do you sound so sad?”
“She wrote you a note in the flower,” he croaks.
Sakura stares at the flower again as she opens it up to reveal the inside. Along the petals of the flower, in tiny lettering, was a message. “Thank you for the lovely gift Sasuke and Sakura. I love it very much and I hope your friendship with each other blooms as much as this cosmos flower.”
“She likes it. I’m glad,” Sakura lets out a happy sigh as she clutches the paper flower closer to her heart.
“Can I... keep the paper flower?” Sasuke asks.
“Huh?” She glances up at Sasuke but his face was looking away from her. “Sure,” she says as she hands it back to him.
“Will it?” she asks him as he takes it from her hands.
“Will what?” he asks back.
“Will our friendship grow like the flower?”
There was a long silence as Sasuke doesn’t say anything. But when he finally does speak, she wish that he didn’t.
“The flower... is dead.”
Sakura’s hand falls away and she only stares back with a stunned look on her face. Sasuke says nothing more as he gets up and begins to walk out.
She wants to cry out to him to tell him not to go but nothing comes out of her voice. She feels immobilized as she finds herself falling to the ground and watching his retreating back once more. “Don’t go,” her mind pleads.
But he is gone already. She closes her eyes and it seems like a long time has passed before she finally opens them again.
When she opens her eyes, the view of her stuffed bunny comes into focus and she slowly gets up. Her arms feel wobbly as she props herself up and she holds a hand against her head as she tries to shake out of her drowsy state. “A dream?” her voice echoes as it bounces off the edge of the walls of her confinement. Somehow, it had felt too real to be a dream.
She looks down at the cosmos that she had planted in her hideout. “I won’t let you guys die,” she whispers. “You will all grow tall and strong just like me. I will protect you all. Just like I’ll protect Sasuke-kun. Even if he is sick or hurt, I’ll make sure to take good care of him and stick with him always. So please continue to live so that the next time Sasuke-kun visits us, he’ll see that you aren’t dead and smile again.”
She lies back down on the blanket as she continues to stare at the flowers. She wasn’t sure why but suddenly, she had an inkling that her life won’t be the same ever again. She touches one of the cosmos, the tallest in the bunch, as she gently grazes her finger across one of the petals. “I like you,” she whispers just before she closes her eyes again, this time praying for a happier dream.
