I’ve been really enjoying quest for a second life and so I decided to read some of your other stuff since I really enjoy your writing and I had a thoughts about Itachis alpha.

Imagine his alpha has a younger sibling who’s the same age as Sasuke and is just as much of a menace as he is but with Itachi instead. Like the alphas sibling is like “your brother stole my sibling!” And Sasukes like “well your sibling is forcing my brother to get married and retire!” So they team up as the ultimate rag tag duo.

Like while Sasuke is giving Itachi a pamphlet about leaving an abusive mate, his alphas sibling is trying to set them up with other omegas. “His rat tail is soooooooo ugly” or “Itachi rarely smiles are you sure you’re happy with him? I know a few omegas who would probably make you happier!”

Sasuke and the sibling even have a “secret hideout” that’s just a closet in the hallway near Itachis room so sometimes Itachi and his alpha will just stand near by and joke about what their siblings were whispering very poorly about.

Sasuke is upset because Itachi just told him to take the abusive mate pamphlet back and his alphas sibling is angry because the alpha is agitated with their younger sibling insulting Itachi all the time so they accuse Itachi of putting a spell of their older sibling. Sasuke gets defensive because “Itachi is the one being forced in the relationship!!!” Eventually Itachi and his alpha have to step in so their younger siblings don’t destroy the closet and wall.

I love love love the idea of Sasuke and alpha's sibling having this dynamic. Like they despise each other, but they are technically working for the same goal so they begrudgingly team up.

It hits Sasuke in the middle of a normal night when he’s about eighteen.

He’s just walking past Itachi’s old room (he’s long since move out) and he’s reminded of that night and how much he used to hate Itachi’s alpha.

And then he’s like… wait a minute…

That wasn’t a bruise, it was a hickey!

And his hair was messed up because… oh shit.

Itachi’s alpha walking with a pillow in front of their crotch…

And Itachi was thrown a pair of trousers because… he wasn’t wearing any.

Sasuke wants to die.

He’s so humiliated he wants the floor to just swallow him.

And he’s also traumatised. Who knows what position they were in when Sasuke knocked on the door, completely and innocently unaware of what was going on.

 …

 So, Sasuke is not having a good time having realised what was really happening that night all those years ago.

 And he’s really trying not to think about it too hard because he doesn’t want to think of his brother like *shivers* that.

 But at a social gathering the next day, Sasuke just can’t stop himself from confronting his brother.

 ...

“That night,” Sasuke starts, gaining a confused face from both his brother and his mate in return. “When I said I had a nightmare and wanted to sleep in your bed…”

 Both Itachi and his mate realise immediately which night he was talking about. There’s a beat of silence before Itachi’s alpha starts laughing so hard they’re on the verge of tears. 

 Dick.

 And Itachi is very red faced and very awkward.

 “Just forget about it, Sasuke,” he tells him. “Please.”

 “But you were-“

 “Sasuke.”

 “And they were-“

 “Sasuke.”

 “And the hickey-“

 “Sasuke!”

 Itachi’s alpha is now laughing so hard they’re struggling to stand while Itachi tries to stop Sasuke from talking.

 “You traumatised me,” Sasuke solemnly claims.

 “Oh, you had no idea what was going on, don’t lie,” Itachi’s alpha snorts. “You were so cute back then, always trying to protect your brother’s ‘innocence’ from the big bad alpha. But little did you know,” Itachi’s alpha leans closer to Sasuke’s ear to whisper, “You were already too late.”

 “Stop it,” Itachi gasps, hitting his alpha on the chest. “There’s no need for that.”

 Sasuke, now somehow ten times as embarrassed, flees from the gathering altogether to try and put the pieces of his childhood back together.
