Summary:

In which the boys should have listened when Levy told them not to touch her new book.

"Gajeel! Where did you even find this?! I've been scouring books for years trying to find its location!" Levy cheers happily, holding the old book to her chest.

"It was in a cave near where you pinpointed. Whole reason I took the mission." Gajeel smirks, chest puffed out proudly.

"For real?! I was wondering why you took such a boring-sounding mission with bad pay." She mutters thoughtfully before grinning again. "Thank you so much, Gajeel! I can't wait to start deciphering it."

"Gihi, no problem, Shorty." He chuckles, ruffling her hair so she doesn't see the light blush on his cheeks. "What's supposed to be in it anyway?"

"Gajeel!" Levy huffs, swatting his hand away with a pout. "It's supposed to have some old, forgotten soul magic. I doubt I'll ever use it but just knowing this buried knowledge would be amazing." She grins, stars in her eyes before turning to glare at the rest of the guild. "I don't know what it does yet so No. One. Touch. It." She warns with a look she learned from the Iron Dragon Slayer next to her who looks stupidly proud of the small intimidating aura she's managing.

"Gihihi!" Gajeel snickers, clapping a hand on her much smaller shoulder. "That's my mate! You heard her! No touching! That means you Salamander!" His glare is much more effective.

"What did you say, metalhead?!" Natsu roars from the other side of the bar. "Why are you immediately accusing me?!"

Gajeel and Levy stare at him with blank faces.

"Because someone told you no." Levy deadpans.

"And you're a flame brain." Gajeel smirks.

"Do you wanna go, metal breath?!" Natsu snaps, not denying it as his usual team sighs, already knowing they're going to have to bail him out of something.

"I'll fucking crush you!" Gajeel cackles.

Those not wanting to participate in destroying the guild again clear out as everything descends into chaos.

"A week! No, you didn't even last a week! Gosh darn it, Natsu, I told you I don't know what the book says yet!" Levy yells red-faced at Natsu who just so happens to currently be stuck in Gray's body.

"And Gray! What the heck?! You cause plenty of trouble, sure, but usually, at least listen to no!" She yells, whipping to yell at the now pink-haired ice mage.

"Hey, I had nothing to do with this! I was literally at home, then all of the sudden I was burping fire!" Gray defends, new fangs bared before holding his hands up in surrender when this makes Gajeel growl behind her. "What button did I poke?!"

"You bared your fangs at a dragon's mate." Natsu sighs, running his hands over what is currently his face. "Fast way to die."

"Gotcha, not used to having them. Sorry, Levy." Gray nods, slowly lowering his hands. "But yeah, I had nothing to do with it." He sighs, stuffing his hands in his new pockets.

"So just Natsu got it." Levy nods, going back to the now icy dragon slayer. "Then what the heck?!"

"I swear I don't know!" Natsu groans. "I was walking past the library and blacked out and all of the sudden I was reading something then black again then I sneezed icicles! I really don't know!"

Levy looks up to Gajeel who sniffs the air before furrowing his brows. "He's not lying?"

"What?!" Levy gasps. "That makes no sense. I know the book has soul magic, and it's obvious that it switched your souls, but why would it make you react like that?" She frowns in concern at Natsu.

"If I knew, we wouldn't be in this situation." Natsu huffs, crossing his arms to realize his shirt is gone. "What the-?"

"Guess that's muscle memory." Gray snickers. "Now who's the pervert?"

"Shut it! And give me my scarf, Ice Princess!" Natsu snaps.

Gray just looks at him for a moment before holding the scarf closer. "Natsu, do you know where my shirt is?"

"No! Would I still be without it if I did?!" Natsu snarls. "Now give it back!"

"Flame Brain, I think I should hold onto it while you're in my body. You could lose it…" Gray warns, knowing how important the scarf is to the other.

Natsu is about to start arguing again before he falls silent and stands there with a look of horror. "...okay. Take care of it?"

"Like it was from Ur." He promises before they look back to Levy. "Soooo how long do you think it will take to decipher?"

"I've gotten half a page in over the course of half a week. Natsu was halfway into the book." Levy sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I'll skip to the section he was in and pray the fix is on that page. Until then just stay together, and try not to cause trouble. ...probably try your powers too in case this lasts long enough that you desperately need money. Okay?"

They both deflate but decide not to anger her further since she is their only hope. "Okay."

They leave the library dejectedly from there, not knowing where to go from there.

"Sooo...what should we do sleeping-wise?" Gray eventually sighs, smoke leaving his mouth.

"Happy and I have the room. Just come stay with us." Natsu huffs, finally finding his shirt and pulling it back on.

"You sure?" Gray questions, ducking his head into the scarf before seeming confused that he did.

"We'll have plenty of room to train too then." Natsu grins, heading for the main part of the guild now.

"At least we're both Slayers, shouldn't be too hard." Gray nods, following him out, choosing to ignore the stares of the rest of their guildmates.

"Ugh, I'm gonna have to eat ice now?" The new Ice Demon Slayer scowls. "Does it at least have a taste for you?"

"Only for the Demon Slayer magic specifically, but kinda like ice cream?" Gray shrugs. "What about fire?"

"Barbeque." Natsu grins before pouting. "I guess ice cream isn't too bad…"

Meanwhile, as Natsu in Gray's body goes to collect a very confused Happy, Mira is watching them from the bar with absolute amusement.

As the center of the guild's gossip mine, she knew everything that went on with its members inside and out of the guildhall and had noticed the two fighting less and less. Now they were stuck in each other’s bodies specifically because of something the Dragon Slayer had done, and here they were calmly talking about living arrangements until things were fixed.

Mira sensed tea, and boy was she ready for it to spill.

“Come on Happy, let’s go home.” Natsu in Gray’s body grins at the little blue Exceed, already forgetting he’s in the wrong body.

Happy looks up at him in confusion, tilting his head. “Is Natsu going on a mission I can’t come on again?”

Natsu looks confused now before hearing a sigh beside him.

“You’re in my body, remember, idiot?” Gray sighs, baffled when smoke leaves his mouth again. “Is that going to happen anytime I breath out heavily?”

Natsu rubs the back of his head, embarrassed. “Oh right! And nah, just gotta get used to controlling my fire.” He grins before tilting his head. “What about when I sneezed icicles earlier?”

“Same thing or when you’re sick.” Gray shrugs before glancing at a very confused Happy. “So long story short, remember that book Gajeel found for Levy last week? Flame Brain here read something out of it and we switched bodies. I’m apparently staying with you guys until this is fixed.”

Happy blinks rapidly, wondering if he’s being messed up before narrowing his eyes at Gray’s body. “Tell me something only Natsu and I know.”

Natsu in Gray’s bloody flushes red, but leans down whispering something in Happy’s ear that makes the little Exceed snicker before nodding. “Okay! Do you want me to stay with Lucy?” He whispers back.

“Would kinda prefer buffer little buddy.” Natsu huffs, knowing he’s being messed with. “He still hates me remember?”

Happy raises a little eyebrow at the denseness of his friend but sighs before grinning at Gray in Natsu’s body. “Looking forward to it!”

“Sorry to intrude, but thanks.” Gray nods, stuffing his hands back in his pockets and hiding in the scarf again, briefly wondering what the secret was.

“Should we head out then?” Natsu grins, trying to find his pants now. “Seriously, dude?” He grumbles.

“Aye, sir!” Happy cheers at the same time Gray just nods.

“Cool! Let’s stop by your’s first to get clothes since I’ll apparently be losing them.” Natsu laughs, leading the way and ignoring the looks of those who hadn’t heard yet and were confused by the suddenly boisterous Ice Mage.

“Sounds good.” Gray just nods, confusing everyone more about how calm’Natsu’ was being.

“Hey, Natsu! You got matches or anything so I can make breakfast?!” Gray calls through the house, nudging the snoring DragonDevil Slayer when he finds him still asleep in the bedroom. Natsu just mumbles something rolling back over and annoying the new fire user. “Dude, come on! I’m hungry!” He growls, startling himself when something that actually sounds like a growl leaves his throat. “What the-?”

“We don’t have matches.” Happy yawns, now floating next to the door after leaving his window hammock in the living room. “Natsu can make fire, remember?”

Gray facepalms with a groan. “Right, shit. Well, how the hell do I wake him up so he can explain how? Normally I’d drop ice cubes on him, but he has my ice and I don’t wanna barbeque him trying the reverse.”

Happy shrugs, Natsu normally being the one to wake him up. “There’s a stream nearby and buckets under the sink? Sheets probably need washing anyway.”

Gray blinks before grinning evilly. “You little evil genius. Want an extra fish for that?”

Happy is suddenly wide awake and grinning happily. “Aye, sir! I’ll get the fishing stuff!” He cheers before flying away.

Gray chuckles, going to get the buckets he was told about before meeting Happy outside and following him to the stream. They spend some time relaxing in the early morning air and filling a bucket with fish and another with the frigid water. At one point Happy flies off with three of the fish and returns with a different bucket holding some eggs and bread.

“Hey, where’d you get this from?” Gray asks in awe, feeling how the bread was still fresh.

“There’s a small farm down the hill with an old couple and their young grandson.” Happy explains, sitting in front of his pole again. “The old guy is too old to fish and hunt so we trade them for bread and eggs and stuff. Normally we’ll get a jam or jelly, but it’s the grandson’s birthday soon so they’re using it for the cake. He wanted to see ‘Big Bwother Nazu’ too, but I told him Natsu is sick right now.”

Gray chuckles a little, imagining Natsu playing with some little kid and he doesn’t realize how stupidly fond he looks until Happy is snickering in return. “Huh? What’s so funny?”

“Oh, nothing.” Happy laughs. “You just have the same look Natsu does looking at y-” Happy’s eyes widen as he slaps his paws over his mouth at what he almost said.

Gray feels his now already warmer than usual face turn even hotter at the call out before he processes what the Exceed had said. “Wait when he looks at who?”

“Uhhh, no one!” Happy deflects, rapidly trying to change the topic. “So what’s it like being in Natsu’s body? You guys usually don’t get along?”

Gray narrows Natsu’s already narrow eyes at the deflection, but huffs, more smoke leaving his nose. “It’s not that bad. He’s a bit shorter than I’m used to being and he runs stupidly warm, yet I don’t feel the need to strip which is weird, but otherwise, it’s not that bad.” He shrugs before flushing. “Using the bathroom was a bit awkward, and I’m hoping this does end soon because Natsu’s body seems to get uh...pent up quickly, but otherwise no complaints.”

Happy rolls his eyes. “Natsu deals with mating season every year. You can say horny.”

Gray stares at him in horror, still seeing Happy as child-like before remembering the Exceed was who helped save them all in Edolas so sighing. “Sorry, I forget you’re not a child.” Something catches up with him. “Wait, mating season?”

The Exceed winces, accidentally saying something he wasn’t supposed to. “Uhhh, Natsu was going to talk to you about it soon so I don’t want to say too much, and really don’t know too much for that matter. You’re not the only one who still sees me as a child.” He hopes Gray just assumes it’s for the bodyswap. “It’s a Dragon Slayer thing is all I can really say.” He shrugs.

Gray can figure out out the gist of what it is using basic common sense but decides not to push too much. “I’m guessing that’s why Gajeel, Levy, Laxus, Freed, and Kana disappear every year?”

Happy nods, sighing in relief that he seems to get it.

“When does it usually happen?” Gray questions, assuming exactly what Happy had hoped.

Happy thinks for a moment. “Depends on the element I think? Natsu’s is usually in July when the weather is the hottest. Gajeel is autumn ‘cause metal, Laxus is at the start of the rainy season which is convenient for everyone else.” The Exceed snickers. “And Kana seems to leave to find Cobra in the Winter when everything starts dying. Good luck to Sting and Rogue since they’ll probably be opposite ends of the year and have to go through it twice.”

Gray furrows Natsu’s eyebrows. “Sting and Rogue haven’t yet?” He doesn’t even notice this is weird to ask.

“When they hit twenty.” Happy shrugs, not calling him out. “Freaked Natsu out the first time.”

Gray vaguely remembers a week of the Dragon Slayer being strangely aggressive and blushing easily for a week some years back before just straight up vanishing for the week after. When he had returned, he was acting like nothing happened so Gray never questioned it. Makes sense now.

Suddenly his eyes shoot open. “About when in July?”

“Second or third week.” Happy hums, focusing on his fish again.

“July starts tomorrow.” Gray groans before flopping into the grass. “Dammit, Flame Brain!”

Happy’s head whips to the new Dragon Slayer in horror, having not realized that. “...We should head back. I’ll go visit Carla after breakfast so you can talk?”

“Thanks, Happy.” He sighs, sitting up and helping Happy gather everything. ‘Hopefully, Levy figures out the book soon. This is not how I wanted this to go.’

By the time they get back, Natsu is still sleeping and Gray and Happy get to look at each other evilly before Happy flies off with the blanket and Gray pours water on him.

Natsu bolts upright from the shock of water more than the temperature and freezes the whole bed in the process. “What the hell, Ice Princess?! Why did you pour room temperature water on me?!”

Gray jumps by at the ice spike that shoots out of the sheets before looking around it in confusion before sighing. “Right, cold doesn’t affect me. Get up, Happy and I caught breakfast, and I don’t know how to control your fire yet so need your help. I’m not trying to burn down your house.”

Natsu glares at him with his own face which is really weird before he huffs and stands up. “Come on, back outside. Happy! Grab the pepper, you little traitor!”

“Aye, sir!” Happy snickers from the kitchen.

After making Gray sneeze so he can use the heat to dry off, Natsu starts explaining how his magic works.

“So is there some part that feels hotter to you than the rest of you?” Natsu tries. “I don’t know how well this will go. I was seven and didn’t like listening so don’t remember how Igneel explained things.”

Gray goes quiet for a moment, remembering Ur’s death. “...Yeah, same.”

Natsu winces. “Um, yeah...So where do you feel hottest?”

Gray sighs, knowing Natsu is trying to distract him, but going with it. “Um..” He closes his eyes in focus before thumping his chest where his guild mark would usually be on his body. “Here.”

Natsu smiles slightly, remembering Igneel’s words. “Igneel would like you then. It means you’re strong and passionate. You’re honest and will fight for what is important to you. A good ma-Anyway, cool. Try to tap into that.”

Gray is smiling proudly, happy to hear the one who was basically the other’s dad would approve of him before he furrows his brows when Natsu cuts something off. He shrugs, figuring Natsu will tell him if it’s important. “Okay…” Gray focuses on the hot spot, deciding to let it spread through his body. He gasps as the heat seems to dance just below his skin, caressing his heart before continuing to rest under his palms and at the back of his throat. He coughs at the feeling and a little bit comes out making him grin excitedly. He feels a few sparks at his hands and opens his eyes to look. The warmth recedes with his concentration, however, and he scowls. “Come on.” He tsks.

He spends the next half an hour practicing and finally is able to get a burst to come to his hand at will and can get it to stay on a single fingertip if he concentrates hard. He turns to Natsu, grinning proudly. “I got it! We can eat now!”

Natsu is grinning back, equally proud of him as he laughs. “Sounds good. You can teach me yours after.”

“Yay! Food! Food!” Happy cheers, flying back to the house quickly.

“Um, actually I want to talk to you about something after if that’s okay? I’ll teach you after?” Gray asks hesitantly.

Natsu tilts his head in confusion, but shrugs. “Sure! Breakfast first though, I’m starving.”

Gray sighs in relief before nodding. “Yeah, breakfast first.”

“See you later, Happy! Tell Wendy and Carla I said hi!” Natsu calls, waving to the Exceed from the door before going back to join Gray on the couch. “Good job, Ice Pick! You didn’t burn down the kitchen.” He laughs, grinning at the new flame user. “So what did you want to talk about?”

Gray chuckles out a thanks before flushing, looking down at what looks to be a hand-carved coffee table. ‘Did he make that?’ He wonders before sighing. “Uh, so I was talking to Happy while we were fishing, and he let some things slip…”

Natsu’s eyes widen in horror, jumping to a wholly different conclusion as his face turns the same color as what is normally his hair. “Shit, dammit Happy!” He hisses. “Listen, man, I am so sorry. I understand if you don’t feel the same way and trust me I’ve spent the last several years...or I guess the last decade since we spent seven years frozen in time, but whatever- trying to get rid of these feelings because I knew there was no way you would feel the same, but then that wasn’t working so I started picking fights with you less, and you’re really cool and I was actually going to ask if this year you’d want to spend mating season with me but then this mess happened and I for-” Natsu’s eyes widen more in a new bout of horror, cutting off his rambling. “Shit! You’re in my body and it’s almost July! Dammit, I have to get ahold of Levy, there has to be a faster way to reverse this. I don’t want to put you through that alone. Dammit, gray I am so sorry, you probably hate me even more now and I-”

Gray had blue screened upon hearing Natsu’s confession, but the last line had brought him back to his sense. “Wait, what?! Natsu, I don’t hate you? And I don’t know what you’re talking about because I was going to ask about mating season actually, but I don’t hate you, Flame Brain!”

Natsu blinks before his face flushes darker, realizing he just outed himself. “Happy slipped about mating season?”

Gray nods.

“But you still bicker with and insult me? I thought for sure you still hated me? I was only going to tell you so I could get it off my chest, accept the rejection and start trying to move on-oi! Gray, calm down!” Natsu yelps when flames come out of Gray’s nose and a deep growl comes from his chest.

“Mine.” Gray snarls, not even noticing until Natsu is having to put out a small fire on his couch. “Shit, what the fuck was that?!” Gray gasps, fire going out immediately.

“Dragons are territorial, and you’re currently in a Dragon Slayer’s body.” Natsu laughs, grinning like an idiot. “No better way to convince me you like me back.”

Gray quickly turns the same color as the hair now resting on his head. “Um, yeah. Yeah, I do. Realized when you disappeared for that week that must have been your first season based on what Happy said. No one could tell me where you were and then you just reappeared like nothing happened. I didn’t want to push it, though.” He mumbles before his eyes widened and his head snapped back up. “Is that why you were so awkward around me the week before that.

Natsu groans, hiding his face in his hands. “You remember that?!”

Gray nods.

Another groan. “Instincts had already claimed you before I was ready to acknowledge it, but I couldn’t exactly deny it after that.”

Another nod as Gray laughs awkwardly. “Well, this is certainly one way to find out your crush likes you.”

Natsu laughs in return, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah, I guess so. We should still try to speed up getting it fixed though ‘cause I would much rather be in my own body when that shit hits instead of making you have to deal with it...unless you want to join me.” He mumbles the last part.

Gray flushes again, currently having Natsu’s dragon hearing. “Um, what even happens during that?”

Natsu sighs, figuring he might as well tell the other since he might have to deal with it. “Aside from being insanely horny, the feeling is different for every element. Gajeel just has a constant boner he can’t get rid of, Laxus said it’s like every nerve is activated at once and the electricity under his skin is different, got to ask Cobra one time and he feels like someone slipped him an aphrodisiac and can apparently make it from his fangs too.” Natsu chuckles, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. “Sting and Rogue won’t know ‘til next year, and Wendy not for while, but mine feels like I’m on fire. I’m burning from the inside out and it feels like nothing can calm it down until I cum. This goes on for about four days with one to three major spikes throughout the day with the fifth and sixth days just being instincts to take care of the mate, or mates depending on the kind of dragon, and get them healed if necessary. Fifth through seventh are really just recovery in general. Oh, and the being territorial thing? Yeah, that goes through the roof. Say I was back in my body and you decided to spend heat with me, if anyone came through that door, you’d be the only one able to stop me from killing them.” Natsu explains in a long info dump before turning very serious. “So if you’re not ready, or don’t want to ever which is perfectly understandable, then find a way to get rid of your scent and go somewhere I can’t find you because while I won’t force myself on you even in that state, you will be stuck in my nest until the shit is over. Got it?”

Gray’s face has transcended what is now his hair at this point as his own horny brain takes over with ideas. He lets out a noise that sounds like a deflating balloon and it’s Natsu’s laugh that finally brings him back. “Um,” he clears his throat. “Uh, yeah. I understand...I wouldn’t be against helping you though assuming we’re back in our bodies by then.”

Natsu smiles, genuinely glad. “And I don’t mind helping you if not.” He promises before tilting his head in thought. “Hey, do devil slayers have anything similar?”

Gray shrugs, having not been one very long. “I haven’t been one long enough to know really...Uh, without mentioning names ‘cause I don’t remember it anyway, I know we have something similar to what you said Cobra has.”

Natsu furrows his brow in confusion before his whole face turns red. “Good idea telling me that when not in my body though you definitely seem to have some possessiveness, too. Why the hell would you need that, though?!”

“Hell if I know?! The only one I’ve met was my dad’s reanimated corpse who definitely didn’t stick around long enough to explain shit. You at least got a run down and have others to fill in the gaps. I’m flying blind here.” Gray huffs, crossing his arms with one of Natsu’s pouts.

Natsu winces, toeing the ground. “Right...sorry… Maybe you can ask Orga from Sabertooth? I know he’s a God Slayer, but worth a shot?”

Gray sighs, nodding slightly. “I’ll give it a shot when we’re back to normal.”

Natsu nods, sitting back on the couch. “...Wanna go train?”

“Yeah.” Gray smirks, grateful for the distraction. “Your icebox sucks, gotta make sure Happy’s fish doesn’t spoil.”

“Hey! My icebox is just fine!” Natsu huffs, jumping back up to run to the door.

Gray follows after him, laughing. “When was the last time you charged the ice lacrima?”

“...I’m supposed to charge it?”

“Oh, my gods!”

“Hey, Levy!” Natsu grins as they walk back into the library about a week after the incident. “Any progress?”

Levy looks up from a mess of books and papers to blow her hair out of her face and glare at him. “I’m three lines in.”

“Have you gone home at all?” Gray asks in concern.

“I drag her home every night and do my best to make sure she doesn’t keep working there but someone keeps solid scripting me into the room.” Gajeel growls from the corner where he’s messing with his guitar. “Little shit, don’t know where she got the gall.”

“Learned from the best.” She smirks at him before turning back to the boys. “All I’ve gotten so far beyond the soul magic I already knew about is that it has something to do with dragons and Dragon Slayers.”

Natsu furrows his eyebrows, walking over to look over Levy’s shoulder. “Why would a book about dragon magic be known for soul magic?”

“If I knew, we wouldn’t be in this situation now would we?” She snaps.

Natsu backs away slowly as Gajeel bursts out laughing. “She’s a little tired.”

“No shit.” Natsu pouts as he gets away from her quickly. “Any possible ideas?” He asks hesitantly.

Levy glares, but sighs. “Not really… Gray, come over here.” She says with a sort of ‘I’m tired and hate not knowing so fuck it’ look in her eyes.

Gray raises a pink eyebrow but decides not to question her in her current state. “What’s up?”

“Touch the book.”

“Huh?” Gray asks in confusion.

She glares harder. “Touch. The. Book.”

“Just do what she says. I’m pretty sure she could single-handedly kick all of our asses at this point.” Gajeel sighs, playing something that actually sounds soothing for once.

Gray decides to take his word for it, reaching out to touch it before his eyes glaze over and he starts talking in a combination of tongues, chirps, and growls.

Levy jumps back in panic as Gajeel and Natsu’s eyes narrow in concentration.

“That’s dragon speak.” Gajeel finally speaks up.

“Igneel taught me how to speak it, but he never got around to writing.” Natsu agrees. “Said it was more important I could navigate the common world.”

“I know a few symbols.” Gajeel huffs, looking over Levy’s shoulder to confirm that’s the script in the book. “Yeah, that’s it, but I don’t know enough to help- wait!” He seems to think of something. “Didn’t Grandeeney make Wendy study like crazy?”

Natsu perks up, nodding quickly. “Yeah! She was a fast learner and liked learning more than roughhousing like us!”

They turn to Levy excitedly. “Get Wendy!”

Levy looks shocked but equally excited to know what the book says as she gathers everything before grabbing Gajeel’s arm and pulling him out. “Come on! Let’s go!”

Natsu sighs before smiling at the other shyly. “It’s a body swap spell. It switches a dragon or dragon slayer with their destined mate so they can find each other.”

“There’s the happy couple.” Levy giggles, leaning on Gajeel smugly.

“Finally joined the land of the mated, huh Salamander?” Gajeel smirks, resting an arm on Levy’s head, trying to be casual about playing with her hair.

The boys turn the color of Erza’s hair.

They look at her in confused embarrassment.

Natsu furrows his brows. “Why is it in dragon then?”

“Dragons are known for their hoards, but I guess were also the mediators to the devils, gods, and each other. They were great at keeping the rituals secret and were in charge of performing them all. Turns out the cave it was in was an old Rock Dragon’s nest.” Gajeel provides.

“Why didn’t it do anything to you or Wendy then?” Gray asks now.

“I already have my mate.” No one misses the sappy look he gives Levy. “And Wendy is too young.” It’s his turn to turn a little pink in the cheeks now. “Was not fun giving her the sex talk. Thanks again, Lev.”

“You looked like you were going to die if I didn’t.” She giggles. “So much for big brother Gajeel.”

Levy giggles, patting his chest. “Wendy spent all week translating it while you were away if you want to read more?”

The two look at each other, having a silent conversation before looking back to her with a nod.

“Probably for the best.” Gray nods.

“Awww! They’ve already figured out their link.” Levy squeals.

“We had some time yeah…” Natsu flushes, hiding in his scarf.

“Your magic won’t hurt each other either.” Gajeel chimes in, looking to Levy with absolute relief on his face.

“What? But Gray’s demon bite still wor-” Natsu tries to question, but Gray slaps a hand over his mouth.

“Shut up, Flame Brain!” Gray snaps, red in the face.

Levy burst out laughing, leaning on the snickering Iron Dragon Slayer. “Book is translated remember? We already know what he’s talking about.” She giggles.

“And I said won’t hurt . Gihi, you’re stuck with his horny bite.” Gajeel snickers.

Both boys are red as tomatoes as they thank the two for the information before running upstairs for a quest, getting it approved, and fleeing the guild. It would be a whole month before anyone saw them around the guild again.
