You're taking the stage and your villain song begins to play, the song that let's the audience know what you're about. What song is it? It doesn't have to be from a musical, but it does have to resonate with you as a villain. what's the thesis to your villainy?

THIS IS SUCH A COOL QUESTION!!!! I have to out myself though, as someone who doesn't like musicals 🤣🤣 So I am not sure I am doing this right or that the songs would work. BUT I picked two songs for two different villain stories!!

I am not a Woman, I'm a God - Halsey

This is a villain that I see as some kind of avenging spirit, a harpy, maybe. Someone who got betrayed and hurt, and now she is ANGRY and seeks revenge, not just on the one who wronged her. Maybe strange murders happen where only the men in every village are killed.

2. I never told you what I do for a living - MCR

I pick this as a great villain song because, to me, it sounds like this is about someone whose love and adoration for someone turned into something ugly and twisted. I always loved the line, "Another night and I'll see you. Another night and I'll BE you." So I imagine a story where they admire this person so much that it drives them insane, and they do anything to be close to that person, lying and killing so they can achieve their goal. But in the end, it is not enough to just be close to that person. They need to become that person. It's a mix of adoration and jealousy, and it drives them to kill that person and take their place.

I hope this makes sense and that those songs count as villain songs!! 💜💜
