one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

I wonder how many times this happened.

It always hits me just how calm Loki seems to be when Mobius grabs him here. Yes, he is stressed and dismissive, but still he lets Mobius grab his jacket and hold him and ask. He doesn’t pull away, he doesn’t flinch. He calmly stands there, almost leaning into it, and lets Mobius be scared and confused.

I wonder how many times it has happened before this. I wonder what Loki felt the first time he said “trust me” and Mobius said “no!” I wonder how many times it took for him to stop fighting it. I wonder if there was a time he let himself stay there for too long, feeling the grounding touch of Mobius’s desperate hands keeping him still, only this time, just for a moment, if he let himself rest there. I wonder if his heart broke a bit each time, but he couldn’t make himself change his choices, making it happen again, and again, and again, and again.

armored core 1 has a level of comedy i really did not expect

i started a mission where i was supposed to guard a scientist's plane while he took off, so i sat my metal ass next to this plane and blew up everything that got near me

suddenly a voice on the radio chimes in "congrats! the scientist took off at another airport. we are going to blow up the plane you were guarding so watch out for that!"

and once you dodge the explosion the mission just ends

you were guarding a decoy the whole time and only found out the instant before it exploded. whoever came up with that mission deserves a medal

My favorite thing in the world about Rise Leo is that he acts Like That but then at any given moment he's almost always doing something that's like. so fucking clever.

Like in the episode "The Ancient Art of Ninja Hide and Seek," the guys are sneaking around Big Mama's hotel to steal something from her guard dog Gus's collar. Raph's idea of stealth is uhhh holding a frond over his head, and Mikey and Donnie spend most of their time scooting a food cart up the stairs. Gus sniffs them all out and they all have to be rescued by Splinter.

And then Leo does this

And it seems so stupid, but like? it's actually not?? there's a strategy here???

The other guys get caught bc Gus is an incredible tracker w a great sense of hearing and smell—which Leo knows from their last run-in with him. So what does Leo do? He eliminates the problem by purposefully sneaking up on Gus in a crowded, noisy, distracting room so Gus won't be able to hear or smell him. And it WORKS—Gus doesn't notice him even when he's right under his nose! He just gets unlucky that the Evil Sports match ends right when he gets his hands on the collar.

It's just. so endlessly funny to me that Leo's the one who gets the closest to actually completing the mission without needing Splinter to bail him out, and no one notices bc he does so with the air of a court jester. A little clown boy. He truly radiates the vibe of someone constantly flying by the seat of his booty shorts, meaning no one realizes until Shredder that he's secretly the only one on the team who regularly uses ANY problem-solving or planning skills lmao
