Hello rbs, what ggdd dramas/movies are must watch in your opinion?

I have a post with GG and DD's projects here.
In terms of what I feel are must-see... I think ideally we should try to watch them all. It's their body of work, after all.
I could also answer that question in various ways depending on why I think it's valuable to see various projects. For example, I recommend fans watch Oath of Love even though I totally loathed it (my full review is still in drafts), because I feel anyone interested in GG's career trajectory would find it interesting.
However, I'll answer this from the perspective of you wanting to start out with the most enjoyable projects.

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of what April and Casey had. A relationship, one that bloomed from friendship into something more. He wanted that, too. Because of him being a mutant turtle, he figured he was destined to be alone forever and live in the shadows like the ninja he was. Besides, Y/N didn't feel the same towards him at his advances; that was evident enough. Anytime he tried to get close to her, she looked like she was uncomfortable. He quit trying after that. But that didn't stop his feelings for her, and each longing was like a knife in his chest.

You didn't mean to fall for him. You were crushing real hard on the hero in the half shell. His eyes always made your heart skip a beat whether it him looking at you or the other way around. There was just something about him that made you always think about him since you two became friends. (He hid in the shadows outside your window, not wanting to scare you with his appearance until you wanted to see him after some time.)
You wanted to tell him how you actually felt. You noticed how he was staring at you and wanting to spend more time with you. There was a time when he tried to kiss you but you got so flustered he thought you didn't want him to do that. You did want to kiss him, but .... Love was just confusing. You entered the lair to see everyone but the turtle you wanted to see.
"Hey, where's (Leo/Raph/Donnie/Mikey)?"
"He went out. He probably wont be back until really late."
"Oh..."
You decided to wait in his room. Surely, his brothers or Splinter will tell him that you were looking for him. Opening his door you stepped into his room. You've been inside a time or two, but you still felt like you were invading his space.
You sat on his bed and wondered what you should do. It was going to be a while yet before he came back. You pulled out your phone and started browsing through your messages. You thought of texting him but then figured that probably would not be the best idea. If he was spying on the Foot, Karai, or any of the other dangerous criminals in New York, he had to be vigilant.
You instead pulled out your mp3 player and turned on some music. You were lost in your thoughts until your eyes felt heavy. It was way past midnight. You fought sleep as long as you could until your eyes closed and you drifted to sleep.

It was still dark out when he came back in. Everyone was already in bed. He yawned and stretched his stiff muscles, ready to hit the sack. He opened the door to his room... and saw Y/N laying on his bed. He was so surprised he asked without thinking,"What are you doing in my bed?"
You woke up to his voice (your mp3 player battery died and needed to be charged). You quickly sat up straight, your heart pounding in your chest. "I, I uhm..." you tried to speak. "I wanted to see you..." Maybe this could've waited till tomorrow....?
He sighed then apologized. "Sorry for waking you, its just... i wasnt expecting you... to be here..." If turtles could blush, he would be right now.
"Look... I'm sorry if it seems like I'm.. avoiding you....I'm not. I just needed to sort things out."
"No, it's my fault, I shouldn't have pushed you into it. I know now..." He had asked Casey about some relationship advice, even told him about his crush on you. He hoped everything would go right, but... maybe you just wanted to be friends, he had figured. "If you wanna stay just friends, I'm okay with that..."
You saw the look on his face, like he was trying to hide behind a smile. You then stood up and approached him. It was now or never; you was going to tell him how you really felt about him while you had the nerve. "You didn't do anything wrong. It was me. It was just so... sudden, you know? We'll always be friends, never doubt that."
You gave a pause. "But I've been having these warm, fuzzy feelings whenever you come around. And... I've been wanting to tell you that... I like you... a lot. I want to go out with you, even if we just stay here in the sewers or whatever." You gingerly took his hand, gripping it with tenderness. "I wasn't ready then, but I'm ready to give us a chance. We won't know if it'll work out if we don't try."
Was this really happening? Did you just agree to go out with him? He wasn't dreaming this, right? His mind had questions bouncing around. But they stopped as soon as he gripped your hand, holding it in his.
"Do you really mean it?" His eyes sparkled with hope.
You smiled back at him, blushing and softly giggled. "Yes, I mean it."
He smiled and gave a sweet kiss on your blushed cheek. He touched your forehead with his. You've made him the happiest turtle in the world. "If it's alright with you, we can get comfy in my bed. I can hold you till you can go back to sleep."
"Sure thing."
He held you in his arms and watched with tired eyes as you quickly drifted to sleep. Sleep soon took hold of him, too, and he joined you in slumber with a small smile on his face.

I've been thinking about sharing some of my headcanons for Spiny Mushroom and little bit Bowuigi and Mareach, I hope you all like this post and tell what do you think about these headcanons!
💙🐢Kipbert/Spiny Mushroom headcanons!🍄💙
Toadbert is the youngest brother of Russ T. (From Paper Mario 64) and Hint Toad from Toad Brigade (which I named him Tyler Toad) as well as the youngest son of Toarge Toad (Toad General) and Toadeliah Toad (My OC)
Parakipper sometimes have a hard time to control his anger issues because of his explosive power and almost ready to crash everything on his way in fury. Luckily, Toadbert is able to calm him down.
Toadbert and Parakipper often share each other some questions about mysteries of worlds, science of species, basics of fighting skills and so on. Even kinds of books they like to read.
Whenever Toadbert gets tired from work in Peach's castle, Parakipper tries to be right here for him, so Bert wouldn't feel lonely (of course if he wish himself)
Parakipper teaches Toadbert the basics of fighting and self-defence skills, so Bert could defend himself in expedition with his older brother and Toad Brigade.
💚🐢Bowuigi headcanons!👨🦱💚
Bowser and Luigi love to paint portraits of beautiful places they visited with Bowser Jr. and Koopalings.
Luigi uses pet names such as Bowsie, Bow-Bow, my precious king and so on, while Bowser calls him Lu, Cutie Green, my brave hero.
Luigi likes to pull funny pranks on Bowser with children on April Fools, or sometimes Bowser pulls pranks on him.

Mario and Peach always participate in many sorts of activities together, such as karting, tennis, volleyball, golfing, even competing with Luigi and Bowser, having so much fun.

Raphael, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Any Version)
Raphael is definitely one of those characters I have been thinking about writing about for a long time, since after I started on writing and posting fanfics atleast a couple years ago🐢So today I plan to make writing about him a reality🐢 Since every1 does have their own preferences about which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series they like best, I will let the reader decide to their imagination which version of Raphael (and/or anything pertaining to any version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, regardless if it's movie and/or show and/or cartoon version) is in this fic (this gif of Raph is just something I picked out😅)🐢 I just figured it would be more fun for the reader to imagine which version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series they think of while reading this fanfic with Raphael in it🐢🐢🐢🐢
Seeing Raphael's Caring Side ((Adult) Raphael (aka, Raph) (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Any Version)) x Female Reader)
Genres: Head Cannon(?), Comfort, Fluff (Warning ⚠️: One of the paragraphs and/or parts of this fanfic mentions harassment)
*When Raphael (Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo) first meet you, he will be surprised that you're not frightened of him (nor the other turtles). However, Raphael did end up taking a liking to you in first sight. The thing is he doesn't want the other turtles to find out. You can't blame him, because there's a chance the other turtles could tease him about you, if they find out right away.
*After a couple months passed by, Raphael decided to confess that he has a crush on you. To his surprise, it turned out you take a liking to him as well. He madesure that none of the other turtles (Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo), to find out obviously. Or so he thought. Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo, madesure to watch Raph's every move due to the fact that they have their suspicions that Raph wanted to confess to you.
*Raph maybe a tough guy during his training, missions (especially with the other turtles), working out, and other stuff he does (depending on the series the reader enjoys watching and/or to the reader's imagination), he's also secretly a big softie when it comes to you and he makesure no one else (Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo included). While he's an affectionate guy, because he's low-key a hugger, a cuddler, and a kisser when it comes to his relationships, he's also okay regardless if you feel like hugging, kissing, and cuddling, or not. He prefers not to overstep your boundaries and he's willing to accept you for who you are.
*If he notices anyone harrass you, including stalkers, he will makesure to they wish they never did and teach them not to harrass you anymore. It gets under his skin when he finds out in anyway, if anyone was to harrass you, no matter how they harrass you. He wants what it's best for you, especially when it comes to your safety and self-esteem. He will even makesure to find anyway possible to make them stop harassing you, even if he has to do so without you knowing it.
*When you're having a bad day and/or depressed and/or sad and/or having any other problems that can be solved through comfort, well then Raphael is definitely is definitely someone who will comfort you the best as he is able to. Being a softie isn't the only thing that he shows to you, however he also will comfort you, regardless if its work or at home or family issues, he will still do his best to comfort you and try to cheer you up. You're his pride and joy, so he wants to make you happy, while also making sure that you are happy, as well.
*Everytime you decide on spending atleast one night with Raphael, he always looks forward to it. He does look forward to seeing you generally and he enjoys hanging out with you, however it's not often you spend the night with him, which is one of these occasions that gets him really, low-key, excited. So, he always surprises you with something everytime you do show up to spend atleast one night with him, which everytime he surprises you with something, you actually appreciate what he does for you and you actually find it romantic that he does different surprises everytime you spend atleast one night at his place.

Summary:
“Okay, Mad Dogz,” Raph says one day when they’re out following a mutant crime alert, “let’s roll out.”
“Still can’t believe we haven’t come up with a better name than that,” Leo gripes, rolling his eyes and following the motion with his whole body. “I mean, really. None of us are dogs, and none of us are really that mad.” He looks between each of his brothers, searching. “Right?”

“Still can’t believe we haven’t come up with a better name than that,” Leo gripes, rolling his eyes and following the motion with his whole body. “I mean, really. None of us are dogs, and none of us are really that mad.” He looks between each of his brothers, searching. “Right?”
“I dunno, Leo,” Mikey says, contemplative. “I am filled with a lot of rage…” He adopts a thinking pose, brow furrowed and eyes distant, hand gripping his chin.
Raph sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. He says nothing but his reaction speaks for itself.
Donnie, not bothering to look up from his phone, flaps a hand in the air dismissively. “I keep all my anger bottled up in here,” he taps his chest, “and hope one day it will just kill me. Like a normal person,” he adds, as if what he just described is unequivocally a universal experience.
Leo purses his lips and steeples his hands, holding this fingers to his mouth. “So that’s a yes to the mad, then.”
“Or it could be, like, the coo-coo for cocoa puffs type of mad!” Mikey chimes in, crossing his eyes and swirling a finger beside his ear. “Y’know, like British people say.”
“Ew,” Leo says, because that’s all that needs to be said about that.
Raph slices his hands through the air, groaning. “Alright, that’s enough!” He sighs again and crosses his arms. “It’s a cool name. I like the name. We’re keeping the name—”
“For now,” Leo cuts in, arching a brow.
“We’re keeping the name, and that’s it.” Raph turns on Leo to growl out the words, then straightens. “Now quit stalling. We got a bad guy to bust!”
“I’m just saying,” Leo says, hours later, after the bad guy is beaten, their victory Run of the Mill pizza has been consumed, and their after-victory pizza (aka, tomorrow’s lunch) has been purchased to take home. “There’s gotta be a better name out there. Something that really says who we are and what we’re about. Something that describes us. Something that makes people think of us when they hear it.”
“Oh, here we go again,” Mikey groans, slumped over on Raph’s shell as the biggest brother carries the youngest and also the stack of half a dozen pizzas. “Maybe if we just let it happen he’ll tire himself out.”
Raph’s next exhale is heavy, the burden of Atlas in his eternal torment. “Pizza Supreme, I wish.”
“Like who?” Donnie asks, unable to help himself from engaging with Leo in a verbal spar. “Who exactly are we trying to get to remember us? The bad guys? They don’t even know our names.”
“They don’t?” Mikey asks, frowning. “Well that’s rude of us.”
Donnie rolls his eyes and shakes his head. “We’re not trying to market ourselves here. We’re effectively vigilantes, moonlighting as heroes for no other reason than we can. It’s better we stay under the radar, so to speak.”
“Just a secret between us and all of New York,” Leo says with a laugh. “Face it, guys. We’re not exactly very subtle.” He gives Donnie a sideways look as he says, “Especially not when we’re in the Turtle Tank.”
Donnie gasps and glares at Leo. To anyone that doesn’t know Donnie, they might assume that he’s genuinely offended, but Leo knows his brothers better than himself—there’s no heat to Donnie’s glare, and he’s holding himself the way he does when he’s entirely at ease with himself and the situation. “Gasp! You take that back! My baby is a marvel of engineering! A masterpiece of technology! How dare you imply that she’s an eyesore!”
“You said it, not me.” Leo shrugs, feigning disinterest. “I mean really. Who drives a tank around? Especially in the city.”
“I don’t have to sit here and listen to your slander! You’re just jealous she’s better than you!” Donnie tips his nose up and crosses his arms, looking away with a huff.
“There’s nothing to be jealous of,” Leo says, shaking his head, expression full of melodrama as he flings the tails of his mask over his shoulder. “I’m already the best-looking thing in this town.”
As Leo and Donnie devolve into increasingly nonsensical arguments, Mikey pokes Raph in the temple to get his attention. “So why’d you pick that name anyway, Raph?”
Raph tilts his head away from the prodding and lets out a singular chuckle. “I dunno. I just thought it sounded cool. Tough. Somethin’ that would show that we’re heroes. Hero teams have team names.” He shrugs, nearly jostling Mikey from his perch. “That’s it.”
Mikey giggles and snuggles closer. “Well I like it,” he says, wrapping an arm around Raph’s neck in a loose hug. “Leo’s just jealous he can’t come up with anything better,” he says, whispering into Raph’s ear to avoid drawing Leo’s attention.
“Heh, well, you know Leo. He’s just gotta do everything he can to be a pain the ass,” Raph says, picking up the pace to take the lead of the group, scooping up Leo in his free arm as he overtakes him. Leo squawks and struggles, but soon resigns to his fate as Donnie snickers at him.
It’s during one of Leo’s will-they-won’t-they sleepless nights that he decides to brainstorm a few new team names. He plays around with a few options, narrowing down the elements he wants to include—namely the turtle, the ninja, the mutant, and the teenage aspects—but he just can’t make the connection work. He even writes it down, filling a whole notebook page with scratched out suggestions that don’t make the cut, but eventually he gives it up, promising himself to come back to the idea when he’s had a bit more sleep.
He never really gets to do that.
Between Draxum, the Foot, the Shredder, Big Mama, the Shredder again, adjusting to the new lair, trying and failing to adjust to the new leader thing, and then the Krang, the whole issue of their team name falls to the wayside.
It’s not until a week or so after he wakes up from his brief coma that the topic ever comes up again.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” Raph says one day, apropos of nothing, sitting beside the medbay bed Leo’s been (and will be, for the foreseeable future) laid up on. “Hell of a good team name.” He smiles and it pulls funny at the bandages still sitting over his damaged eye. “Good job, Leo.”
“I can’t take all the credit,” Leo says, immediately, instinctively. He takes a few seconds to process what’s being said to him, then shakes his head. “It wasn’t all me. We came up with it together.”
Raph chuckles and shakes his head, cradling Leo’s hand between his own. “Yeah, I guess we did.”
“Not as good as Mad Dogz though,” Leo admits, a tiny smile on his face. It lights up his eyes, despite the sallow complexion and mottled bruises. “Well,” he backtracks, shifting into a smirk as he turns his eyes away, pretending to think, “maybe not worse. Just as good. I did help come up with it, after all.”
Raph laughs, the sound coming from deep in his belly, and Leo joins in with breathy little giggles that rattle his broken ribs and irritate the cracks in his shell and plastron. It hurts but it’s the good kind of hurt; the hurt that comes from joy.
It feels nice to laugh, even if it’s about something as silly as a team name. Who really cares, in the end? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mad Dogz, or something else, they’re still the same people.
Mutants. Turtles. Whatever.

Hello! I’m a new turtle who’s silently been around for a couple of months and I’m not really aware of a lot of things. There’s a 🍭 (some people take it as) about “blue sky white clouds” and I am so so lost. Are there any posts you can link me so that I can understand what it all means or if you can explain it to me that would be helpful too. I’ve read a few posts but I still don’t understand anything, I want to know what this phrase/words mean, how they’re linked to ggdd, what was the interview about and why are some taking it as a 🍭? And I noticed it’s also your display name, wow, so I’m even more curious 😂

I don't think I've done a post going over all of this before, and it's a question I get asked a lot, so here goes...
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
Blue sky, white clouds is a bit of a BXG slogan or rallying cry that I first saw during an Untamed promo interview they did back in 2019. They were asked what they remember about filming and GG said, "Blue sky, white clouds." (Although fans have found references to BSWC from as far back as 2017).
GG and DD have repeatedly referenced BSWC in their posts and comments during interviews and events. Here are just a few examples:
June 5, 2020 GG posted a BSWC photo. Kadian 13:28 or "Forever love Bo." The message, "Blue sky, white clouds. What do you see?"
Some BXG believe they see a running shoe in the first picture.
The next day DD did a post with a pair of shoes (DD used shoes a lot in his posts to reference GG, because shoes in Chinese is xie zi), one of them red and the other blue with a white cloud swoosh.
The blue shoe model name is exactly the same wording as GG used in his post, "Blue sky white clouds." The red shoes are called Xing Zhan (using the same character as GG's name).
Hilariously, the next day Youku posted saying they felt that it looked like the Youku logo and savage DD replied, "your imagination is beyond imagination." 😅 (Never stand between DD and a candy!)
June 12, 2020, GG posted again "Look at the blue sky and white clouds... my hair has gotten long."
(Turtles were very 👀 by this post, because it closely resembled a post DD made way back in 2017, where he said, "Should I grow out my long hair?")
They've both mentioned BSWC at strange times, just randomly dropping it into conversations. For example during a SDOC hotpot episode Jackson was asking DD about filming in Yunnan (where he filmed Being a Hero), and DD replied, "The blue sky, white clouds there are really beautiful."
GG mentioned it in the Qingdao snacks video as well (the same one where DD's name was mentioned). When he was doing his end of the video wrap-up, talking about what Qingdao was like for him, he said, "I can see the sea, blue sky, white clouds, black soil."
And of course twice in the recent Mendale product launch event, GG mentioned BSWC. Once when asked if he'd seen the starry sky, and he replied, "Blue sky, white clouds" and the second time when asked about his ideal camping trip, he replied, "Blue sky white clouds, the smell of dirt, and I think there has to be insects, mosquitos."
A lot of the photos they post feature BSWC as well. I don't have room here to post them all, but just browsing their images, you'll see this theme come up again and again.
They've also worn a lot of clothing that seems to reference BSWC.

I think it probably started up totally by accident. Something that maybe they both like (sort of like the moon), that gradually became more of a thing as BXG took note of it, to where now it's something they use as a candy.
I know of at least a few popular Chinese songs that mention BSWC as well, which is maybe another thing they might smile about whenever they hear it.
I think, based on GG's referencing BSWC in that Untamed interview they did way back in 2019, that it's also a nod to that summer they got to spend together filming. Something that reminds them of a special time, that they can share with BXG.
I also just think it's a beautiful, refreshing, optimistic image. That's part of why I personally like it so much. It brings to mind all the things about GGDD that make me happy.

Onward Fan Art Shout Out - 16
Theme: Post-It / Lunch Note Art
Seeing as school seems to be back in session for most people nowadays, this week's Onward fanart post shall focus on art in which school-related canvas are used!
Post-it notes, napkins, flashcards, paper lunch bags...all these items are things one would typically use for school, right? I mean you'd think, oh! post-it notes for giving yourself reminders or...flashcards to use to help you study for a test, napkins to clean your hands with, and paper lunch bags to hold your lunch in...
Well...all of the following 8 artists below chose to cleverly and creatively use those things for much more than that... 😉

enri_tsuno_pictures - as someone who's been doing practice sketches on flashcards herself lately, I'm first just gonna say that I relate to this piece a lot lol, but I also really love the style of Ian and Barley too! They're both soooooo cute! And I especially enjoy the way they colored them in, with color but also in adding detail!
sandwichbagadventure - this one's pretty unique because this artist drew either themselves or their kid as Ian, but it's very sweet! It's very clear to me that they love Onward in this household and that they see Ian as a hero which is really REALLY great to see! Also that's a very cute turtle in the bottom left corner! 🐢
daedally_done - can't get enough of the manticore after last week? Well here she is again! this artist's canvas was a napkin! Certainty not an easy texture to work with—thin, bumpy, see-through—so I commend whoever drew this for taking on that challenge and for utilizing one of Barley's special questing rules: using what you've got! I also love the use of only black and red pen here! it helps in giving a very clear, recognizable picture of Corey!
ladybagman - this one's actually two for the price of one because this artist has two kids! And they used two different art styles for both bags which is cool! The one on the left is absolutely adorable! I love the expressions on both the bros! And Ian's eyes and smile are just precious on the bag on the right! Also, for context, "te amo" is Spanish for "I love you", awwwww 🥹
ktrosemary - an awesome pencil drawing of Barley on a post-it note! Very nice use of shadow under his chin and above his eyes! I also really like how this artist used a variety of tones with their pencil to create different shades of black and gray!
alc_artchive - I love how the artist of his paper lunch bag used BOTH sides of the bag to draw and include Ian AND Barley. That's the great thing about paper lunch bags, they're three dimensional! So art doesn't only have to be limited to one side! Also LOVE how they used the Onward font to spell out their daughter's name!
davestl - I really love the way this artist colored Laurel's hair! It's colored pencil, but not filling it in completely with colored pencil gives off a really nice textured effect! The whole drawing is very well textured, actually...Laurel's skin looks phenomenal too! But her hair is probably my favorite part of this whole post-it note art, there's something about it that just shines! 😍
lovemom.and.dad_napkin_notes - this drawing of the Manticore is really well done! Like for real: the line work is just 👌 Also the napkin provides such a great background that didn't need to be drawn, which is awesome! Again, resourcefulness and using what you've got is absolutely the best!
