Hello everyone! You can call me daisy if you want to. I'm an editor in my early 20s and the world's slowest writer!
What you'll find on my blog is mostly writing-related content, art (my own and reblogs) and rambling about my own wips, the books I read, and general life updates, as well as anything else that strikes my fancy
I'm generally interested in fantasy but I also dabble in scifi, historical, contemporary, whatever looks interesting
always tag game friendly but I do them based on the capricious whims of my brain gremlins
feel free to come to me with any editing/grammar related questions btw! I am happy to be of service and I did go to school for this
always on the lookout for writing friends but also everyone is welcome feel free to come and chat about books or art or linguistics or folklore or whatever you want

Deep and Dark, Beautiful and Bright
(working title: second chance wip) tag: second chance wip
intro post • comic sans ppt • character art
Deep in the forest, two people wake up with no memories. The world they stumble into is scarred and ruined—something terrible has happened here, long ago. Stumbling upon a treasure hunting party, they are relieved to find that a remnant of humanity has managed to survive, making their homes among the ruins of a past age. But when their memories begin to resurface, they are forced to question if they can really trust each other.
Starring: Trip, a thief who poses as the chosen one to escape his criminal record, and Lya, another (so-called) chosen one, who's world-saving destiny is getting more complicated than planned
Fear Me (working title: Starlight) tag: starlightwip
"intro" post • comic sans ppt • character art
Alya and her brother Eli have grown up on the run, hiding from the mysterious cult of Rin. When their pursuer finally catches up to them, their guardian is left dead and the siblings are separated. Alya’s quest to find her brother brings her back to her native land of Daenar, into a world of cutthroat politics and secret societies, marked by a series of ritualistic murders.
She finds refuge with her mysterious aunt, a high-ranking government official who teaches Alya to harness the power to manipulate the emotions of others. Maybe there was a good reason she grew up on foreign soil. But Alya will do anything to find Eli, even if it means leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.

au where. the shidou-igaguri team lose, shidou gets picked and
1) we see igaguri's weapon of "unyielding spirit" get put to the test in the wildcard + the notable comment of how he managed to get this far while being less physically trained than his peers is a feat in of itself wraps around to building the best clone of Noa's physique slash physical cal ability + follows the idea of one of Isagi's more 'naive'/optimistic teammates being thrown into a grinder to reappear as a polished ego machine trained specifically to embody the Best + Huge Huge surprise + PLEASE give us more backstory on why he cantgo back to the temple pleaspeasepleaseplease I need to know
2) Reo and Kunigami bonding. More scorned and bitter ex-girlfriend parallels but it's the arc where they get separated but the new guy she's hanging out with is sweet and thoughtful and motivates her and keeps her on track and she figures out how she should be treated as a person. Makes the running back to the icy ml way more agonizing. Sorry I've read many a manhwa

I just think that if Anakin was a musician, he would be an oboist, because
1. First Chair oboe is the one literally everyone else in the orchestra tunes to (yes, including the strings) because the oboe can’t be tuned (the pitch of the sound created by the oboe reed (the decider of your fate) is affected by dampness of the reed itself, humidity, the humidity of the past fourteen years, and the will of the gods. If you’ve angered any gods recently, you should put the oboe down)
2. The oboe has an incredibly piercing sound. It can be heard even through the rest of the ochestra, it’s a very memorable sound
3. The oboe is the most temperamental instrument ever created. It’s far more angry than its cousin, the bassoon, and it’s more common than its other cousins, literally any other double reeded instrument but I’ll put oboe d’amore here as an example. The oboe could be working completely fine, only to be set down for five seconds and now all of your notes are flat except for your C, which is inexplicably sharp, oboe, why-
4. The oboe itself isn’t actually as bad as 3 suggests, because all of the attitude comes from the reed. Double reed instruments are as rare as they are difficult to play, and the reed of the oboe is the most temperamental reed ever put into the hands of mortals
5. I relate to Anakin and just feel like he should play an oboe because I play an oboe
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Next week, I’ll either discuss the parallels between the comics and Obi-Wan Kenobi the series or I’ll talk about my obsession with Dick Grayson, we’ll see which one next time, same bat time, same bat channel blog

MORE INFO ON CONTACTING CANADIAN REPS ABOUT A CEASEFIRE IN PALESTINE:
https://www.instagram.com/p/C07AO2kAKQg/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
on the fourth slide of this post, there is a list of canadian representatives and their contact information. feel free to refer to the phone/email script a few posts down my blog and keep reaching out to demand an immediate ceasefire.
UPDATED PHONE SCRIPT TO CONTACT CANADIAN REPS FOR CEASEFIRE IN PALESTINE:
“Hello [Contact Name],
My name is [xxxx] and I am a deeply concerned resident of [city or riding]. I am calling on you to demand that you call for a permanent ceasefire, an end to the siege on Gaza to allow to immediate medical aid, and an end to all material and diplomatic support of Israel's war crimes, genocide and colonization of Palestinian land.
The civilian death toll is now over 17,000 (*to my knowledge*) due to indiscriminate bombing, the mass arrest and detention of Palestinians, and countless other violations of international law like collective punishment, withholding access to food and electricity and the use of toxic white phosphorus. This has been ongoing nonstop for over 60 days now. This is not a war, it is genocide which is currently being funded by our tax dollars.
During the 5 day ceasefire, we saw a majority of the released hostages from Palestine were children who had been imprisoned for years for minor offenses like throwing rocks. We also saw Israel shooting civilians still, and kidnapping people in the West Bank.
Now the bombing has resumed, and again, [country] stays silent and complicit.
It is high past time for [country] to stand against genocide. You, and all of Parliament, must call for an end to the root causes of all this violence: the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and the Israeli government's apartheid regime.
I will not be voting for you or [your party] in the next election based on your lack of response on this emergency unless you are willing to stand against apartheid and call for a ceasefire.
Thank you for your time and we will all be watching to see if [country] will stand against apartheid and genocide.
Sincerely, (Your Name)”
