Owl City fan survey!

Birthday fanart from July for the one and only Adam Young, also known as Owl City!!! Adam is by far my favorite music artist, and oh man, if I tried to sit here and list all the reasons why I absolutely adore him and his music, I’d be talking for years 😭 Owl City and Adam himself are both such inspirations of mine, and I had the honor of seeing Adam in concert in 2018, which is an experience I’ll cherish forever!! drove to my hometown yesterday for their (and my!) first pride event, also drove by my old houses & old middle school and generally got very nostalgic. I don’t miss actually living there and I love living in my current town a lot, but I do cherish the memories I have from my hometown and driving by my Oma’s old house from before she moved in particular made me feel very wistful. so many happy memories in that town ♡

I got to make the trip with one of my close friends and it was so much fun showing her locations from, as she called it, The Early Years (a la wikepedia article sections)

but I think, after revisiting a lot of my childhood locations, it’s no surprise that today I felt the desire to listen to songs from the Ocean Eyes Deluxe Edition (2009) album by Owl City 🌃 despite everything else, those songs still go so hard and bring me back to the good moments in my early teen years so tangibly, sweetly, and gently, in a way few else does. so good ♡
