Could I request an NSFW headcanon for Dammon and Zevlor with a breeding kink 👀 I feel like of the tiefling bachelors those two would definitely have a breeding kink
Also your writing is amazing and perfect ❤️ you are quite literally one of the only blogs powering me through this tiefling hyperfixation of mine thank you 😭😭
Thank you so much Anon, I've been wanting to write for this kink since before I started the blog!! I'm so glad to hear I'm fuelling your hyperfixation, and I'm always happy to be of service <3
I added Rolan in as a little extra treat, I hope you enjoy :)
NSFW under the cut, surprisingly gender neutral considering the theme
No real warnings, just possible overstimulation for all parts but particularly for Rolan
Tiefling bachelor's with a breeding kink
Dammon
This man, dear lord
I have never seen a man with a bigger breeding kink
Dammon is a family man through and through, and no one could blame either of you for enjoying creating that family
As soon as you two settle into baldurs gate it's a thought that never leaves his mind
Absolutely the type to whisper in your ear what he's going to do to you later, sometimes to the point you need to pull him into the bedroom yourself
Once you're there, he's all over you
It doesn't matter if you can get pregnant or not, he always fucks you with that same intense need
Dammon kisses you so sweetly as he pulls you into a mating press, sinfully holding you down against the bed
He's able to keep you pinned for hours if you'll let him, the stamina used in his forge also finds a use in the bedroom
The strain never bothers him, Dammons focus entirely on the way you squeeze so nicely around his dick, how you moan with every thrust of his hips
There's nothing quite like having your legs held down, Dammons tail wrapping around an ankle, his lips hungrily kissing yours before parting to murmur in your ear
"Mm, go on, you can be louder than that darling. Let everyone know how much you want my cum, want me to breed you-"
He pays plenty of attention to your chest too, squeezing and sucking as he imagines how you'll look swollen with milk
It's obvious, but he cums inside every time
Dammon watches as he pulls out too, seeing his seed dripping from you before asking if you're up for another round
Zevlor
After years of thinking the possibility of having kids was behind him, Zevlor stopped thinking about it so much
That is, until you asked, and reawakened something inside him
Suddenly his thoughts are consumed by the idea of getting you pregnant
Once again, whether or not you can get pregnant doesn't matter to him
I feel like Zevlor is partial to missionary style, some may thinks it's boring but he sees it as a classic, it lets you both feel everything and he loves seeing your face
He'd also be partial to cowgirl if you want to top, it lets him see your whole body and run his hands over every part of you
He's just so soft with you, even his pace is sweet and focuses on your pleasure
Zevlors the type to talk sweet nothings to you as he makes love to you, his breeding kink really does just come from how much he loves you
"You look gorgeous, my love. I can't wait to see you carrying our child."
You'll always cum too, multiple times
A lot actually
He does too
Definitely the type to stay inside afterwards, keeping his cum deep inside with the hopes of it taking
He pulls you in close, spooning you so your bodies are still pressed tight together as he wraps himself around you
The type to also place a large, warm hand over your lower stomach as he imagines the family you'll both have
Rolan
Rolan is a bit of a wildcard
I have a feeling he secretly likes children, and is shockingly good with them
After his younger siblings, and all the refugee children, once he's settled into Ramaziths tower his mind will drift
Unlike the other two, it's very impromptu
Rolan would have you pressed against a bookshelf in his private study, taking you roughly from behind
Some stranger, some asshole, had put his hands all over you and Rolan wasn't having any of it
What was the best way to show you had all you needed already, with him? Getting you knocked up
He was in such a rush that you're both still mostly clothed, your pants pulled down and his robes pushed aside with the laces of his pants undone
He nips and kisses your neck as he thrusts into you, hands firm on your hips and tail spreading your legs apart
When he does cum, he pulls out slowly, and presses any that leaks out back in with his finger
Rolan revels in your fucked out moans as he does, taking advantage to finger you to another orgasm
"That's it baby, go on, give me another and I'll give you more of my cum. Gonna fill you up all over again."
It won't take long until you feel a familiar ridged cock rubbing against your ass

The major question of the story that we are now asking:
Why, exactly, does Carlo never "wake up"?
Tumblr media
[long post]
[Spoilers ahead]
Well, simply put - Because he is dead.
OK, that seems like too obvious an answer, but I'll elaborate, and bear with me here. I want to recap some elements first so you know where I'm coming from, but I'm also trying not to completely explain everything because that's way too hard and would be too long.
[Currently, we don't understand everything about the story or its meaning. Because of some of the shrouded nature of the lore and narrative, it leaves much mystery. But from viewing these questions and the story from a thematic standpoint, something unexpected and really cool happened. I found that the story and the lore opened up in reverse.]
The easiest way to explain the plot (in my opinion):
It was my impression that Geppetto never “started” the puppet frenzy. The puppets were NEVER breaking the grand covenant, interpretably they are protecting humans by stopping the spread of the petrification disease, it’s just that everyone in the city was infected by that point.
Now with the puppets killing everybody in a city where everyone was infected (ergo being the result of the disease) Simon can go around harvesting all that ergo and Geppetto presumably plays him by letting Simon collect the Ergo first, and then sending P to kill him. [again, these details may not be completely accurate, but bear with me here]
Why create P in the first place?
He's made in Carlo's image so to speak because Geppetto hopes that Carlo's spirit will awaken. This is also why P is never bound to the covenant (it seems that not being bound to robot laws makes puppet egos awaken faster, since awakened puppets can break the grand covenant). So that is the two functions of P, to destroy puppets for ergo to harvest and so Carlo's consciousness can restore. I was just guessing that the arm of god was enough to get Carlo to revive, and Carlo's mental spirit reviving would be helpful but not entirely necessary. But for reasons we don't understand, Carlo never does regain consciousness.
Geppetto bitterly tells us that we don't seem to have inherited Carlo's memories. There is no big moment where Pinocchio or Pino or P reawakens, fully, as Carlo. He isn’t treated by the story as him. During the course of the game, P struggles to forge his own identity, to become a real boy, despite starting as a copy of the original. It’s a very fitting parable for the genre identity of a soulslike.
However, there are other successful re-incarnations of people through puppets, namely Sophia at the end of the Rise ending. We ask, for consistency's sake, why are puppet-form Romeo and puppet-form Sophia assumed to have retained their original identities, but not Pino? This is just my personal interpretation of why Carlo just couldn't or doesn't wake up. It isn't really based any lore or deduction from story details, this is from more of a philosophical point of view. And it isn't just the luck of the draw.
Tumblr media
I had some initial thoughts about Carlo's failure. Romeo was made with intention of continuing to fight against the disease, as it's told that he "made a deal with the devil". Sophia may have been a special case, as she is a listener (Arlecchino even refers to her as the goddess in the tower), she may have had an ergo identity so strong that her essential self could retain this process. But either way, the implication is that Pino may have been able to recover her not long after that final fight. Look at the nameless puppet. The state of Carlo's body is so poor, that more than not his body seems to have been replaced with puppet parts. I think the implication was that Geppetto had been replacing parts as they rotted away. Maybe he had simply been dead for too long. But again, this isn't exactly why I think he couldn't awaken.
Simon and Geppetto
Lies has two main antagonists, although one isn't completely revealed until the last section. Both Simon and Geppetto are the perpetrators of Krat's destruction, but for what seems like different reasons. Simon is trying to be reborn, and Geppetto is trying to revive his dead son, Carlo. Interpretably, they are both trying to become Gods. Simon by grasping the supernatural, cosmic power of one, and Geppetto by raising the dead. They have destroyed Krat in their attempt to become a god, or more succinctly put, attempting to become God, singular. Geppetto's goal is, in essence, the same as Simon's goal - Because bringing back the dead would make him God.
That's why it seemed all so confusing. Haven't Geppetto and the alchemists already raised the dead, as Pino does at the end of the Rise ending with Sophia? Sophia, Romeo, and Carlo were all afflicted with the disease. Their Ergo were all made into puppets, but there's a minor but important distinction here. Sophia is still alive in her condition and actively suffering, this is the reason why she asks us to end her life. It seems as though Romeo lost his friend to the disease, and then made a "deal with the devil" to continue fighting, this implies being made into the king of puppets. We collected Sophia's ergo while she was alive, which we then used to animate the puppet. So the three of them were afflicted with the petrification disease. Sophia perished, Romeo perished, but Carlo died.
Tumblr media
Now if we see the sand memories section of the beach, the stalker's words start to gain some clarity. If Carlo died from an incurable disease that the stalker couldn't prevent, why is she too late? Perhaps the goal was never to "save" Carlo's life. She laments; That she was too late, NOT to "save" him, but for him to be able to be restored. The stalker seemed to understand that whatever procedure needed to be done would be useless past the point of death.
I have to admit that there was something that I thought could override my theory. It seems as though the alchemists already were able to bring back both Champion Victor and The Eldest of the BRB, and from the dead no less. We read from notes in the Grand Exhibition that Victor had caught the disease, died to the despair of his adoring fans, but then miraculously made a comeback somehow stronger than ever. But maybe - he had only appeared to be brought back from the dead to the public, as Victor sought the help of the alchemists. And when it comes to the Eldest in the coffin, I'm wondering if he was actually only mortally wounded, leading the brotherhood to consult with the alchemists. [The way he was carried out by his brothers too (shouldered on either side) isn't typically the way you would expect people would handle a dead person]
Tumblr media
Mirroring Sophia, Romeo, and Pinocchio, who were made into puppets: There is Champion Victor, The Eldest, and Nameless Puppet. We can see the former three as Geppetto's method of "cheating" God (cheating Death), and the latter three as alchemists' method. Only "Carlo" has a form in either one - The Nameless Puppet and the player, P. The Nameless puppet appears to share a similar undead quality with Victor and The Eldest of the BRB (including the tubes). We know that the collected Ergo can animate puppets, They are puppeting around their own dead bodies.
Tumblr media
I feel like the Nameless Puppet tells us in a poetic way that Carlo is gone. My thoughts on this are more abstract. Again, this isn't from a factual analysis, but more of from viewing the Nameless Puppet itself as a metaphor. The Nameless puppet has qualities similar to the other undead bosses, yet the game doesn't describe it like it does Victor and the Eldest. It's not a body. It is a puppet [Human on the outside, mechanical on the inside - the inverse of our protagonist]. And straight in the text, we are told this is "The Nameless Puppet". But we know who Carlo was. His name was Carlo. We split open its head, and there are only cold, mechanical parts, instead of what we in the modern world now regard as the very most essential self (the brain). Because there was nothing to recover, there is no one there. Carlo's spirit had long, long since departed the world.
We are also told through one of the game's narrative devices that the Nameless puppet was the first puppet fitted with the organ. Ostensibly, Carlo's body was being prepared for whatever procedure that needed to take place, but Carlo died before that could happen (perhaps thankfully), and Geppetto pushed forward with his plans anyway, perhaps past the point of no return.
There are two forms of revival and we represent one of them, as in, there was the puppet form of Carlo and the undead form of Carlo. Presumably, the undead form was incredibly destructive, and thus stored away; We are the second try for Carlo's rebirth, this time in the puppet form, but we cannot even wake up without the aid of Sophia.
Lies, God, and the Finality of Death
Tumblr media
But doesn't Geppetto actually succeed in one of the endings? Simon fails to become a god, (well, presumably only because we kill him in the process of doing so) and then we confront Geppetto. If we hand over our heart, Geppetto actually does revive Carlo. We see the resurrected Carlo, but with one simple smile we realize this isn't the Carlo the game has been leading us to believe existed. This ending leaves us with distrust and unease rather than a sense of peace and resolution. Simon fails to become a god, and at the bad ending - even if he "wins" - the game makes us wonder if So does Geppetto. No matter what, Carlo could NEVER be truly, and in both senses of the word, honestly, be revived.
[Simon Manus - like Simon Magus, the biblical figure who tries to buy into the supernatural power of God. And Geppetto, of course alluding to the 1883 italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio - a puppet master, a creator indeed, but of wooden imitations of life, and a poor imitation of God]
So, why I think Carlo could not wake up? Because whatever needed to happen could not be done after the actual point of death, and Sophia and Romeo's hearts were both transferred before they actually died. His spirit had long gone from this world. Krat has methods of eternal life, but these transfers happened while they were still alive. While the alchemists and Geppetto could certainly cheat death (as we maybe even would with modern day medicine), they could not defeat it. Carlo can no longer wake up, Carlo can never wake up again, because he is dead.

I'm kind of down today. do you have sephcanons for me?
Hope you feel better soon, anon. And of course.
Sephiroth requires a steady degree of protein in his daily diet. His Jenova-influenced traits have made it a mandated MUST in order to keep him at peak strength. Since Hojo believes he needs to keep Sephiroth off of red meat for health-related reasons, Sephiroth's meals mostly consist of lean meats or fish.
Sephiroth is regularly invited to attend major SOLDIER parades in Junon. He comically ditches almost every single time, never onscreen for more than a few minutes.
When Angeal's gardening tracks bugs indoors, Genesis shrieks and gets a broom. For the bugs AND so that he can hit Sephiroth with it when Sephiroth immediately stoops down to admire the nasty pests.
Sephiroth has been blinded before by his enemies during a particularly nasty confrontation on the battlefield. His opponent foolishly believed that this would render him useless in a fight. To everyone's collective shock and horror, Sephiroth's unnatural eyes merely regenerated minutes later.
Sephiroth's least favorite food is eel. Even as an avid lover of sushi, he refuses to eat eel under any circumstances.
Hojo has various trackers on Sephiroth at all times, most of which Sephiroth doesn't even know about.
Sephiroth genuinely doesn't understand how Rock-Paper-Scissors works and all attempts to explain it to him have resulted in him perceiving it to be a challenge to fight.
Sephiroth has an instinctive sensitivity to bright lights. There's always an automatic fear response that wells up inside of him whenever bright lights flash in his face. Fortunately, he has long since learned how to conceal his reactions.
Fire is the ultimate weapon for Sephiroth, far more than his sword. He views it as something sacred and powerful, worthy of respect and reverence. It's the great destructor and the great cleanser--it ends life and yet makes room for new life to sprout from the ashes. His torching of Nibelheim is just as symbolic as it is cruel. Sephiroth believes this to be his reawakening of sorts. Burn down the person he was to begin anew.

I really hate how people are making Laudna’s arc the past few episodes about Imogen and a ship. People saying “this is what happens when you separate them!!!! Laudna lost her tether!!!” It’s really annoying. I wish people would just let Laudna be Laudna without Imogen. She’s her own person dealing with her own trauma. She’s been so much more enjoyable without Imogen and having to fake a sunshine happy face and without having to shoulder Imogen’s burdens. I don’t know if I’m making sense but it’s just annoying me.
Yeah it's...unsurprising, again, coming from the "oh but Marisha doesn't really mean it when she says things that would conflict with my personal desires, obviously," crowd, but it's really a disservice to Laudna as a character.
As was stated in the moment, Laudna felt a sense of control that she had so often lacked - which, by implication, means she felt this way during her time with Imogen as well! And then she admits to Prism that this feels like a loss of control as well, and Prism encourages her to embrace her feelings of confusion and ambiguity, and says it might be healing to do so. She's right! It was, again, a standout moment for Laudna and frankly one of my favorite Marisha moments across all campaigns, for her to grapple with this idea that control and power are really complicated and not a binary concept.
It's just...truly remarkable to watch the difference in Laudna's demeanor with Ashton, Orym, and Prism over the past few episodes vs. how she's behaved with Imogen. There's no front. She's allowed to express herself in an equal exchange, or receive comfort, rather than nearly always being the one to give and to put on a happy face and reassure everyone that everything will work out. The problem with constantly saying that the worse thing that ever happened to her already happened is not that it's necessarily false, but rather that she hasn't allowed herself to openly feel bad about anything lesser.
I think Laudna is in a rough spot right now! Like, do I care about the cringefail specter of Delilah, no, but I do care that Laudna has reawakened something that has hurt and controlled her in the pursuit of trying to gain a sense of control against someone else who hurt her, and I'm excited to see how she processes it, because right now it's trauma no matter what she does. I think it's movement forward, but like...the only way out is through and she's uh, really going through it. I really hope that given this development, with their reunion, Laudna will no longer feel this self-imposed obligation to serve as Imogen's validation at the cost of her own emotional well-being. I hope they can be honest and work through their issues, rather than slipping into their old carefully buttoned-up walking-on-eggshells status quo.

MY THOUGHTS ON DRAGON BALL DAIMA
Tumblr media
(Wasn't going to post this old draft, but decided to post it anyway since @/puyohero was curious about my thoughts)
Awesome! Love that Toriyama is heavily involved! Love the art & animation and the idea is interesting too.
SIMILARITY TO DRAGON BALL GT
Yes, GT did something similar. However GT sidelined most of the cast. Even Pan & Trunks kinda got sidelined when they were part of the main cast of GT. In this, it seems the other characters will play some sort of role too. Or I assume so. And they will be traveling to another realm/world. So maybe the others will go with Goku.
DB DAIMA seems to be referencing a lot of DB properties & not only GT. As pointed out here...
CAST AS CHILDREN COULD MEAN...
I had hoped it would turn the entire cast into children and glad it happened. Now I hope we get more info about it. Because what I want is for the other cast members to get involved. Gohan & Piccolo are on a similar level to Goku & Vegeta, so then being excluded to only focus on Goku & Vegeta would be stupid. And since it is stated that this series won't be transformation heavy... what if Goku cannot transform into forms he didn't have as a child?? Or it's very taxing on the body if they can. Now everyone can get involved in the battles! Krillin has already returned to martial arts, but we can get my boy Yamcha fighting again! We might even get to see kid Ox King fight alongside kid Roshi. That would be neat!
Now what would be funny is to see a kid version of Buu. Would it be a short chubby Buu or Kid Buu/Pure Buu? Or maybe the magic won't affect him much since he can change his appearance at will. 🤔
Also, I bet there is a joke about Krillin not getting much smaller when turned into a kid again like how there was a joke in OG Dragon Ball that Krillin didn't get much taller & Krillin is upset about the statement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, the chibi reminds me of the Dragon Ball SD manga.
TITLE POSSIBLY ELUDING TO...
Tumblr media
Another interesting thing was the placeholder name "Magic" and the current name "DAIMA." Seems like Toriyama is possibly hinting at the Makaioshin. Evil beings with magical power, the Demon Realm being a place where magic rules over science, and the fact that THIS guy looks like a Kaioshin.
Tumblr media
So the little guy could be a God of the Demon Realm. Or maybe a God of Destruction of the Demon Realm. Who knows? We'll have to wait and see.
JOURNEY TO THE WEST REFERENCES
I see some Journey To The West/Saiyuki influence in here too which is good cause this is Dragon Ball after all. Goku with a Sun Wukong role, East Kaioshin (Shin) with the monk role. And maybe other characters who are inspired by Saiyuki will play roles similar to their inspirations.
Vegeta having a Sun Wukong role while Bulma has the Tripitaka role
Piccolo having a Tripitaka/Wukong role while Gohan also has the Tripitaka/Wukong role
Krillin with a Tripitaka role (maybe some Wukong role too since he also takes some Wukong inspiration) & maybe 18 takes on the role of Tripitaka in certain aspects?
Yamcha with a role referencing Sha Wujing role
Tenshinhan with a role referencing Erlang Shen
And if the Demon Realm is involved then there is more Saiyuki references. Journey to a dangerous land and fighting demons. This could be pretty cool to see.
GOKU'S DESIGN
And another thing... Goku's gi in Daima. It's becoming closer and closer to his End of Z gi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The untucked style of Goku's gi in Daima is similar to EoZ, but the colors are still like his iconic orange and blue gi.
MY THEORY FOR THE STORY
In the Demon Realm, the Makaioshin & some Demon God examine Goku & his friends. They speak about Babidi and how he recruited the King of the Demon Realm, Dabura, and still failed. As well as Bibidi summoning & Babidi reawakening the evil beings Majin Buu, then Buu becoming an ally of Goku. Where a sorcerer failed, a Demon God plans to succeed. The Demon God & Makaioshin notice that Goku & company are always victorious due to their strength, transformations, and friendship that encourages each other. So somehow, they are all turned into children to make them doubt their chances of victory. And their power is nerfed too. The Saiyans might have to struggle just to turn SSJ again. I believe it will be through a spell just to be different from GT and not use a wish granting Dragon. The part that shows that a wish was made to Shenron wish was likely after they were turned into kids and they needed help in some way, or they tried to reverse the spell and it was beyond the power of Shenron.
So they venture into this new realm to fix things. Perhaps splitting into groups. Goku & Kaioshin, Vegeta & Bulma, Gohan & Piccolo, Krillin & 18, ect. Some teaming up with other groups too. Get to see stuff like Goku & Tien team up. They learn about the depths of magic & Bulma is surprised because her technology she relies so much upon doesn't matter much in the Demon Realm where magic is their technology.
At some point, they find a way to return to their actual ages and adult bodies. In the end, they confront the Demon God & Makaioshin. Of course Goku would face the main bad guy (along with Vegeta & maybe with Gohan & Piccolo). Godly power vs godly magic. Or something like that.
Now let's wait & see how wrong I am 😂

Hi Kita 💜 I've seen other people doing this since the year is ending so what were some of your favorite fics you read this year??
omg yes there's so many incredible works I read this year but since I lost the ability to edit asks on here these are just the ones off the top of my head rn! I hope everyone has a wonderful new years eve and finds tons of inspiration next year <3
Tumblr media
Tuesdays by @elusivemoon
io is beyond talented and deserves so much recognition this coming year for being one of the best writers on the app! Tuesdays feels like if satoru never became the annoyingly adorable character we know because in ios setting there's no curses, instead he's endearingly sweet and this is a wonderfully written peek into what that version of his life would look like
The taste of your lips by @staryukis
everyone say ty logan for giving us desperate kiss starved satoru <3 I've thought about this at least twice a week ever since I first read it, logan has such a way with description and setup everything plays out so smoothly like a movie in your head plus satoru is adorable in this I love it sm :3
Driving you crazy by @aestrayla
angi's writing is absolutely magical, I couldn't believe this was their first time writing smut because it's just an absolutely perfect portrayal of mammon and impatient needy reader is one of my absolute favorites to find
Sleepy sins by @another-lost-mc
JEALOUS BELPHIE JEALOUS BELPHIE plus the primal kink??? jes has hands down the best grasp on every brothers personality out of anyone in the fandom but this belphie fic is one of my all time favorites, however if I could link the entire masterlist I would because everything they've written is phenomenal!
Angel of small death & the codeine scene by @marble-anime
this reawakened my blood kink SO BAD if you've followed me for a while you know alucard is one of my all time favorite characters and when I found this going thru the hellsing tags my eyes nearly popped out of my head
Know it all by @elusivemoon
io on here twice because if I could link everything they've written I would but we'd be here forever ajdhsksbak it shows immense talent to take a character and put them in a setting like the grecian pantheon and have it be so seamless it's like they always existed there
Intimacy by @vixstarria
A beautiful glimpse into Astarions struggle with sex and intimacy and it also captures in a really gorgeous way the struggle of both parties when navigating something like that with a partner. Especially how Astarion wants a sexual relationship with tav but just doesn't know how to get through to that point, just makes me go insane every time I think about it
Yandere satoru by @yandere-daydreams
I think this one is brilliant because someone with satorus background would feel inherently entitled to nearly everything even if they can "do the right thing" most of the time, including the reader because someone raised wealthy and with power usually struggles with that line of thought. The way he blames reader? ough absolutely delicious

I’ve seen you post about both the marauders and snape, so I’m assuming you’re a fan of both? Me too!
I sometimes get bummed out at the extent fellow marauders fans go to to exclude our prickly Slytherin. But at the same time I’d much rather those fans who really hate him to just ignore him than stir up hate so…Idk.
My question was: What are your thoughts on the Slytherin skittles? On one hand, it’s kinda laughable to me that these are the Slytherins we’re gonna incorporate into our fandom, while we steadfastly ignore the 5th or 6th most mentioned character in the series. But on the other hand, maybe it opens up the door to the gradual acceptance of Severus… ? if not for his canon character, at least for his fans to feel less unwelcome? Maybe I’m being optimistic, but I’d love to one day post about Snape without worrying that everyone is going to unfollow or block me
Hi!
I'm Snape fan forever and yes, I am currently having a marauder's era obsession phase-honestly I used to look down upon the marauders fandom because of how much their headcanons disregarded the main canon and how much they change the characterizations to the point of incomprehensibility(remus, im looking at you). But I do feel- and have always felt- that the marauders era was ripe with potential, and Tumblr has reawakened that particular obsession.
I get you so much- it's really very upsetting to have people who share some of your interests and shit on your others. do hope that you have friends in the marauders fandom who don't accept snape slander(and if not- i'm always here!!!!). and i understand the wish to have them ignore him altogether- though it does feel a little isolating at times. though not lately for me- thanks to my lovely marauder fan moots :) :).
the slytherin skittles- hmmmm. Let me make a very humble confession. before this ask, i wasn't entirely sure on who they were. im educated now, and honestly i prefer to have the usual marauders era cast be different ages- it just seems very unlikely that this huge cast all went to school together. like i know wizarding britain is small, but excuse me. what the fuck.
that being said, i have come to be fond of the fandom versions of these characters- the rosier twins, barty my bloody beloved, dorcas, regulus black(is that all????) and i do like the idea of them being a group and shit. it's just, them being a group and shit in school just. doesn't match up with my version of the characters, ya know? still, there is wonderful fanfic and fanart out there for them, so. i aint complaining.
but I do feel like them being glorified to such a degree while Snape is right there kind of weird. I mean, absolutely, I don't expect Snape love from the marauders fandom and I don't need it, but sometimes it's kinda confusing how much Snape is passed over in all these fics. Just- I can imagine Snape being an amazing addition to all these fics and imagines, and it does sometimes feel like all the Slytherin characters are just palatable pieces of Snape, which is a bit off putting. still, i am fond of these characters to a degree, so this is less of a complaint and more of something that just confuses me.
maybe. maybe this could be the path to less Snape hate but HONESTLY I'm not holding my breath. Like I said before, I'm not looking for Snape love and content in this fandom, and though I do feel he would be an amazing addition to it, I'm not terribly sad that he isn't a part of it. I'd rather he be ignored than hated, and when he is hated, I'd rather ignore it than focus on it- for my mental health at the very least.
And on the topic of it making the opinion of Snapedom and Snape content less severe- i can see it happening and not happening. I think there will always be people who will dislike Snape and wonder why anybody will like him in the marauders fandom, and as long as they are outspoken, it's going to be a while since we see change. But I can definitely see it going there and am optimistic myself.
and finally, one last not-so-humble word of advice- if you have mutuals or followers who you think will block or unfollow you because of Snape(a FICTIONAL CHARACTER) maybe they are people you don't need. Alright!
It's called "The forgetful sky" at least for right now! I'm completely open to suggestions!
Anyway in this, the Circlet had more lasting effects on Wukong. And with Macaque's resurrection from LBD, she may have altered a few things.
The Circlet I'm still debating on weather it should still be on or not. But anyway, because of it's constant use because of his "great" master, it slowly affected his brain. Soon enough on the journey, he slowly started to forget some stuff in his past on FFM, and as the years went by he continued to forget more and more stuff about his past.
He honestly doesn't really ever remember all of the times the Circlet was used on him, only really remembering the first time it was used and the three times it was used when they first met LBD. (And maybe one or two more) Wukong also doesn't remember a lot of the mistreatment he got from his former family, so he still idolizes them.
He's also forgotten a few promises he made to the monkeys he loved, especially a certain night black furred monkey.
As for Macaque. When he was revived, LBD had tricked him and used her powers to lie to him. He remembers how Wukong betrayed him, and how he killed him with a cold expression when they fought. But, that wasn't true.
When LBD's control over Macaque was destroyed during the Samadhi fire reawakening, slowly Macaque's memories came back. How Wukong visited during his time working up in heaven, to when Wukong tearfully spared him during their last fight. And how his scar and loss of sight wasn't from any staff, but from a "person" with a bow and arrow.
So with this new found revelation, Macaque finally wants to talk to Wukong. And he may just find out he wasn't the only one with memory troubles!
Anyway I'm so sorry if this didn't make any sense, or wasn't good. It's just a newly created idea that I like, and I hope you like too!!!
P.S. I hope you have a great day!
Oh, I can feel the angst potential in this one!
Something tells me that Macaque and Wukong's talk won't go so well

Power nap, power trip, whatever - you've got a reputation to uphold. This is "Fury of the Storm."
Wojira was a LOT of fun, and even though she was destructive as hell... I kind of miss her, you know?
In my first version of the Wojira design, even with my limited fashion skills, I actually produced something semi-decent that I'm willing to share for comparison's sake:
Tumblr media
Look at that! A whole three different brushes! All in all, I actually really liked this rendition; my first attempt at a remaster was just going to be this, but Better (TM).
And then I sat down at my drawing tablet (which is just a touchscreen Chromebook that can do a deep backbend) and... I couldn't. I resketched the outline on my croquis and my heart simply wasn't in it. So I put her to sleep for about twenty seconds and then reawakened her by slotting in the Amulet of Panic (which doesn't have a dragon head on it - it's got a carving of me frantically scribbling). Luckily, it didn't take a few hundred trials, and I landed on something that kept some of what I originally set out to do and introduced neat new twists.
Overall vibes: The original was supposed to be very supervillainy, which is obvious in terms of structure: sleek train, athletic boots, dark colors, oversized armor. In theory, this was solid, but I realized I'd approached it all wrong. Wojira is (was?) a literal origin story. Why did I try to assign this ancient mythological sea goddess a modern supervillain look? She's a classic! This time, I decided to lean into that with a Greco-Roman war goddess vibe: draped fabric and gladiator-esque boots. Hack off the layered train and it's practically battlefield-ready.
Speaking of layered fabric: Wojira is, honestly, slightly funny (remember the puppy head tilt when Jay sidetracks her?); there's something ironically very human about her. With that in mind, I gave a little thought to her circumstances when wrinkling the dress. Imagine that you're a goddess who, after being defeated in battle, is sent to a millennia-long sleep. After a bunch of scientific poking and prodding, you're forcibly woken up, tased repeatedly, and driven around like an oversized golf cart. Of course you're not going to look 100%! You're going to be rumpled by default.
While we're on the topic of looking messy: I don't generally go for wear-and-tear in my designs unless I think it enhances the work (looking at you, Nelson and Antonia). "Fury of the Storm" is a rare exception, and the damage appears in the cloak in the form of a scorched neon texture along the edges. This is a very literal interpretation of her wings, which I think are incredibly cool.
Headdress, clasps, and torso: not much to this beyond that I like Wojira's horns so much that I wanted to put extra ones on. The headdress is pretty straightforward - amulets, lightning circlet, chain veil to symbolize Kalmaar's control. The torso armor just exists to repeat that motif and lend extra mythological vibes to the whole look. While we're talking about Kalmaar, the clasps holding up the dress and pinning the cloak in place are directly traced from the arrow elements I used in the KPS and act as further representation of his hold over her. Once removed, the entire dress falls apart - just like his plans once his trident snapped.
Only one more to go in the series! For the few of you who have followed along, my deepest thanks - I hope the finale piece lives up to whatever expectations you have. I hope they're good ones! In the meantime, your promised bonus wallpaper. I really like this one, actually - I don't do a lot of very dark backdrops, so this was a fun challenge.
Unfortunately, it also looks like one of those paper cups from the nineties. But, like, an evil version. Put your Sprite in one of these and it'll just leak onto the floor.

Profile: Voice-Over(Yuuki and Moon)
Tumblr media
Below the cut is a not-so-quick overview of Yuuki's various voice lines if she was playable I guess? Moon speaks as well, italicized
Hello: I'm Yuuki, a world travelling adventurer. If you've got any- "Hmm, and who is this, Master?" Ugh... and this is Moon. It's an... odd story.
Chat, Drink: You need to take the edge off? I can give you a quick drink if you want. Kidding, kidding!
Chat, Impatience: "Enough standing around. Get a move on!" Moon! Don't be so rude!
Chat, relax: Sometimes it is nice to take a break.
When it Rains: *SIgh* Great. My coat is going to take forever to dry...
When Thunder Strikes: It's getting bad out. Maybe we should go inside?
When it Snows: Brrr, it's cold... better find a warm Seelie.
When the Sun is Out: Haaah, that sun feels nice... Let's just lay on the grass for a bit!
When the Wind is Blowing: Feel that? That's the blessing of Barbatos at our backs!
In the Desert: "Aah, I still have memories of when this wasn't a desert..."
Good Morning: Morning! I was about to head out, you want to come?
Good Afternoon: *Yawn* I could really use a pick-me-up. You want some coffee?
Good Evening: Hey, come with me. There's a spot that looks absolutely beautiful this time of day!
Good Night: "Sleep well, I'll watch over you and wake you if anything happens. Don't worry, as an AI, I have no need for sleep."
About Yuuki: Running: Back in Mondstadt, I would often sneak out and climb the windmills in the city. I just... had to get out of the house, you know?
About Yuuki: Journey: I wonder, if you saw me now, would you be proud of me, mother?
About Yuuki: Truth: Locked
About Us: Adventuring: This journey of ours... I hope it never ends, moon. "......"
About Us: The Sword: You know, I've been calling this the Ruin Blade, but I don't think it's actually connected to Kaehnri'ah. I'm starting to think it might be from a different world entirely.
About Us: Aeternus: Locked
About the Vision: I'm very happy that this reawakened for me. No matter where I go or what I do, she's always with me. Plus the Anemo energy works very well with the elements the Ruin Blade uses. Almost like it was meant to be.
About the Vision 2: Locked
Something to Share: Fragments: It's hard to believe that these little things contain a piece of a person. "I'm not a person, I'm a machine! It isn't that hard to comprehend! "
Something to Share: Teyvat: This world is so rich in history, secrets and culture. It's my life's goal to uncover and learn all of it.
Interesting Things: Moon knows a lot despite being broken. You can ask her almost anything and she should be able to answer! Unfortunately, that doesn't mean she'll actually tell you.
About Moon: I found the sword in Stormterrors' Lair, but Moon I first found in Enkanomiya. To think, they're more than a thousand years old... but so much more advanced than anything here in Teyvat. At least from what I've seen.
About Moon 2: Locked
About Jean: I hope Grand Master Varka returns from his expedition soon. Maybe then I can finally see Jean relax. Nah, knowing her, she won't. 'For Mondstadt, as always...'
About Diluc: Master Diluc... hehe, it's always a good night when he's working at Angel's Share! "You drunkard."
About Venti: Winds: "You do know that bard is Barbatos, right?" Moon please, how and why would he do that? "Don't be daft. Have you seen anyone else with that much control over Anemo? Pay attention to what he says and does, you'll see! "
About Eula: One thing I've never understood is why most of Mondstadt is so rude to her for what her... ancestors did? That never made sense to me, Captain Lawrence seems like a perfectly good person. That said... she makes me nervous, it's that whole vengeance thing.
About Amber: Y'know, it's because of Amber that I tried out for the Knights. Seeing her try so hard to become an Outrider like her grandfather really inspired me. Heh, good for her.
About Amane: You know, my first thought of him was that he was a loner putting up a literal cold air to push people away. Goes to show you not to judge a book by it's cover. "I don't like the way he looks at you." W-what? Where did that come from?!
About Zhongli: "Rex Lapis is alive." What, and you think he's Zhongli Why, because he's smart and well-versed? I swear Moon, you might be a bit broken.
About Zhongli: Help: Locked
About Xiao: Help: Locked
About Ningguang: The Tianquan? I once saw her at a pretty cheap food stall buying Mora Meat! She looked like she was enjoying herself too, it's nice to see someone so high up the ladder enjoy something so... simple.
About Tartaglia: Fatui: I'd love to fight Childe honestly. I wonder if the other Harbingers are actually stronger than him...
About Blair: Locked
About Yun Jin: Her operas are something else! I- "Clearly. You spent nearly a week going in and out of that damned tea house for those shows and stories." S-so!? I can appreciate good art when I see it!
About the Raiden Shogun: Curiosity: I wonder if the Shogun still takes duels... "Don't you dare!"
About the Raiden Shogun: Truth: "If you ever get chummy with Ei, ask her about artificial bodies. Maybe I could have something commissioned like the Shogun puppet." Moon, what are you on about?
About Kamisato Ayato: Ah, the Kamisato siblings. My mother was close with their parents, so I would see them on occasion when we were really young. I wonder... does he still remember me?
About Faruzan: Aside from Kris, Madam Faruzan is the only person to truly show any real interest in the Ruin Blade. Unfortunately, the only thing she was able to tell me is that 'the name is incorrect.' Pft, obviously... I just can't think of anything cooler!
About Nilou: I happened to pass by one of her troupe's shows, and I must say... I was enthralled, for lack of a better word. *Sigh* I should really go back to the Zubayr Theater. I really want to express how enchanting they are, especially Nilou. She dances like... like... agh I can't find a good word for it!
About Kris: That poor girl blames herself for the accident that took her sister from her. She's dedicated her entire life to finding her again, and because of it... hasn't really led a life. I hope she can find at least some time not worrying and fretting.
About Lesser Lord Kusanali: Truth: "Well well, the previous Archon's reincarnation has finally grown wings of her own. Good for her, I cannot wait to see her fly." Huh? Lesser Lord Kisanali isn't a reincarnation, she lost her power, right? Or something like that, according to archives.
About Wanderer: "Foolish Ballader, you cannot hide your true identity. A discarded puppet, the sixth Fatui Harbinger, a failed god, you will always be those things, no matter how hard you try to hide them." Huh? What? There isn't even a sixth Harbinger, what are you talking about with all this?
About Ruby: There is something about that woman that I can't put my finger on. "My suggestion is to stay away from her. Not only is she not human, she's barely comprehensible." Moon, that just makes me even more interested!
About Lyza: Rival: Haha, I've been hired by Kris to find her, but I can't help but be caught up in the moment every time we fight. Lyza is... she's not like anyone I've faced before. Is this what having a rival is like? "No you idiot! Ugh, that poor girl. Having to deal with those curses, forced servitude, and you."
About Lyza: Family: I wonder, if I was in her situation, would my father expend as much time and energy into finding me? It could have just as easily been me with you, you know. "Mmh, perhaps. That girl does have quite a caring family. I do hope she can see that again."
About Lyza: Aid: Locked:
About Neuvillette: The Chief Justice, or Iudex of Fontaine... I hear he's incredibly knowledgeable on all manner of things and has been around for a long time. I'd love to pick his brain about a few things.
About Furina: I sat in a trial once, and if I didn't know any better, I'd say she's... ah, never mind. I shouldn't bad mouth an Archon like that.
About Clorinde: Beautiful and strong? Haha, a small part of me wants to get arrested just for the chance to fight her! Hmm... nah.
About P: Revenge: Locked
More About Yuuki 1: I'm actually from Inazuma. Before moving to Mondstadt, I lived with my family in the middle of the city. We weren't too far from the Komore Teahouse, although we were never allowed entry.
More About Yuuki 2: I had quite a few odd jobs when I was younger, after moving to Mondstadt that is. I helped at Quinn's stand, ran deliveries for Sara, and even helped out Grand Master Varka! *Sigh* Things were simpler back then. But not necessarily better. Heh, I did a lot to get away from my father.
More About Yuuki 3: Before I became an Adventurer, I actually tried to join the Knights. Back then, I was doing anything to get out of the house, but... I don't know, something stopped me from following through. I was told I had what it takes and had more than enough skill, but I just couldn't finish. I wonder what kind of person that makes me...
More About Yuuki 4: Locked
More about Yuuki 5: Locked
Yuuki's Hobbies: Aw, this is a bit embarrassing, but... I like to draw. I've drawn a lot of the landscapes that I've visited and a few... portraits. Wha- you... want to see? Nngh... fine. Just don't be too harsh, okay?
Yuuki's Troubles: Moon likes to butt into conversations a lot, usually to inform or correct something in a conversation. "Please, I bring life to some of those boring conversations with boring people!" It's... complicated to explain to people exactly what's happening.
Yuuki's Troubles 2: Locked:
Favorite Food: Aah, I'm not super picky. As long as it's cooked properly, filling and I can have a good drink with it, I'll probably eat it. Especially if I can eat it on the go.
Least Favorite Food: Hmm, I'm not a fan of making soups and stews when I'm out. Clean-up is such a pain, and it's so easy to get the seasoning wrong.
Receiving a Gift 1: Oh wow, this is delicious! Thank you so much!
Receiving a Gift 2: Mmh, you're quite the cook, aren't you? Very nice.
Receiving a Gift 3: Oh... uh... wow... thanks...
Birthday: Happy Birthday! Where do you want to go? From breakfast in Liyue to dinner in Fontaine to star-gazing in Inazuma. Anywhere you want, I'll have you want, in a jiffy!
Feelings About Ascension: Intro: I can feel it... this sword's ancient power!
Feelings About Ascension: Building Up: "Well well well. You found me. I guess this makes you Aeternus, hmm? Well? Come on, take me! I will give you what you desire, my master~"
Feelings About Ascension: Climax: So this is the power of Darkness... the element that Lyza used. I'm... not sure I like how this makes me feel.
Feelings About Ascension: Conclusion: Locked

Fandom: Ace Attorney Ship: Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright Rating: Teen and Up Words: 3.5k Summary:
Edgeworth feels like he doesn't deserve to be loved by someone like Phoenix, and Phoenix is terrified of being too much and scaring Edgeworth away. But when they are finally forced to acknowledge the truth of their relationship, will they face the fire or continue to hide from its flames? . . . And Trucy? Well, she's just a little fed up.
“Just let me pay for it, Wright,” Edgeworth stated stubbornly.
“Thank you, but I’m entirely capable of paying for myself,” Wright responded, just as resolutely.
Phoenix and Edgeworth had gone out to eat for the night. They’d decided on a small Taiwanese restaurant with clean black tiles and red trim. The food had been delightful, and the conversation even more so. It had been, all around, a pleasant evening. That is, until they had finished their food and begun to argue over the cheque.
“I’m perfectly aware of that. But it’s no secret I have some amount of wealth. Please, it is the least I could do to repay you.”
“I might not be rich like you, but I can still support myself perfectly fine, Miles,” he bit back, already taking out his wallet.”
“Don’t be asinine, Wright. I’m perfectly aware you can.”
“Then let me.”
“Why do you insist on being so stubborn?”
“Why do you.”
“Because I— Because…” Why couldn’t he just say why?! So instead, he conceded. “...You’re right. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have pushed.”
“Thank you,” he enunciated firmly.
“Can I… Can I drive you home at least? It’s dark, and it’s cold, and your bike fits in my trunk.”
Phoenix looked at him, searching for something; that something Edgeworth wasn’t sure of. He finally responded with a light sigh and a short, “Okay.”
They rode to his apartment in a heavy silence, broken only after they arrived at Pheonix’s apartment.
“Goodnight, Wright,” Edgeworth murmured, looking up at him, still off-kilter and anxious from their conversation (and lack thereof in the car.)
Their eyes met. “Goodnight, Miles,” he said, sad but not unkindly. He opened the car door and turned away to get out.
“Wait! I—”
Phoenix looked back at him expectedly.
“Wright—” This was him, god-damn it. He could tell him the truth. The man loved foolishly and kind. He had still stuck around him when Edgeworth had been actively trying to push him away. So he started again. “…Phoenix.”
Oh, but it was him. What would he do when Phoenix finally had enough of him? Despite how he’d tried for so long, Phoenix had nestled tightly in his heart, reawakening its quiet beating tremors. A heart that would surely collapse from these tremors in his absence. Not all things should be woken up, because its stirring will surely bring about its own destruction.
Edgeworth hit his head on the steering wheel, leaving his head to rest there and causing the car to let out one short beep. “Fuck.”
“Uhm, Miles, are you okay??”
“I’m sorry!” he finally mustered out rather abruptly. He heaved himself back up from the steering wheel fully, with a sigh, looking back at Phoenix before quickly darting his eyes away again and clenching his hands. “It was not… my intention to make you believe I was belittling you. You have shown me time and time again truly how capable you are, and I did not mean for you to think I thought anything differently. I simply wish… You see… It’s just… This is the only way I seem to be capable of repaying you. I know it’s still not enough, but I had hoped it would at least… help.” He paused. “However, if it makes you uncomfortable, I can refrain from doing so in the future.”
“What.”
“Must you really make me repeat it, Wright?”
“No no no, that’s not what I meant. What do you mean repay me?”
“Come now, isn’t it quite obvious?”
“No, it’s not… unless.”
Edgeworth risked a glance and found Phoenix’s face scrunched up in the middle of a disgruntled realization.
“Miles Edgeworth, do you mean to tell me you believe you owe me, for what? Being there for you? Caring for you?!”
“Something along those lines.”
He let out a frustrated sigh. “Miles, could you look at me?” His voice was heart-wrenchingly gentle.
He obliged wordlessly.
“I don’t know what you were taught to believe love is, but my love for you is not contractual, and it will never be contractual. I do the things I do for you, not because I expect things in return, but because I want to. Okay? I care about you, you doofus.” He rested his hand on top of Edgeworth’s. “And I’m sorry for snapping earlier. I realize now that you meant nothing rude by it. I was tired and upset, and my own insecurities were eating away at me like I was a tasty turkey dinner. And I pushed those insecurities onto you.”
Edgeworth merely blinked back at him.
Phoenix flicked him squarely in the forehead.
“What was that for?!”
“Thought it might help get it into that thick head of yours,” he grinned impishly. He’d clearly spent too much time with Maya.
Edgeworth scoffed, “I will have you know my head is of just the— the right thickness thank you very much.”
“Pff, I know, I know.” Phoenix patted him on the head. “I do mean it, though. What I said” His tone became serious again. “You’re my friend, my closest friend even, and that’s what I do for friends. You’re certainly no exemption.”
“...Are you sure?”
“As sure as I am in my client’s innocence.”
“Then I believe it might be accurate to say you are my closest friend too?” Did he say something wrong? Phoenix looked like he was now about ready to cry.
Oh no no no no, what had Edgeworth done now?
But before he had a chance to ask, Phoenix launched himself at him with a hug.
Edgeworth sat there dumbstruck for a few seconds, unsure of what to do with the man now clinging to him in the cramped car. He eventually rather anxiously slipped his arms around him.
Phoenix’s name felt rather accurate sitting there in his arms. He was just so warm. It was like wrapping your arms around a fire. He’d always seen fire as aggressively passionate and destructive in its fight to continue on. Yet now, it was somehow so comforting. A forest fire burning away the old withering beliefs and feelings, leaving room for the new. When had his idea of the man shifted so sharply in his eyes, or had he simply been ignoring it before?
Regardless of the timing, he found himself now, always drawing closer to the man’s strength and warmth and life he carried with him in everything he did. Could they do this more? Just sitting there together? Maybe not with the awkward pose the car seats made them twist into. But maybe on the couch curled up in a blanket or after a long late-night work session, Phoenix forcing him to take a break like he apparently loves to do. It doesn’t matter really when or where or even frankly what, as long as he’s there with all his fiery heat. There was something so simple about it that made it feel wrong in the best of ways. Because how could happiness be so easily found? How could sitting there doing almost nothing feel so right? What had von Karma had him chasing for all those years if perfection could be found in one quiet embrace?
This man made him constantly question and reestablish every little thing he thought to be true, during trials, but also entirely outside them. Being around him filled him with countless thoughts he both wanted to know, and already did but simply feared the long-since clear conclusion. A dilemma which filled him with both dread and sheer terror by the prospect. No matter how many times he would try to stop them, burn the thoughts to the ground, they always rose back stronger than before as soon as he laid eyes on him again. He was a glowing breath of life reviving the world. For how much Edgeworth tried to cling to sameness, Phoenix’s perpetual reimagining was its own sort of constant. An ever-changing constant, he found he did not mind as much as he should. Maybe comfort could be found in revolution? God, he loved him. He loved him so much. He’d known that for years now. It was a realization that had hit like a ghastly cacophony before settling softly in his gut. A feeling that would so quickly turn into butterflies from a simple touch of a hand. From a kind, open smile directed towards him.
Phoenix finally pulled away. He looked sheepish. “Sorry, I probably should have asked first.”
“I… did not mind.”
“Oh. Guess that’s alright then.” He smiled again. Such a soft fond smile it almost hurt to look at with any amount of acknowledgment to the genuineness of it. “Hey, would you, um, want to come inside for a bit? Youdonthavetoofcourseyouprobablyhavelotstodo! But uh, yeah, mhm. Plus, I bet Trucy would love to say hi. Maya might still be over too.”
Regardless of what he might say, Edgeworth returned the smile with the same genuine fondness, although in his own reserved way. He checked his watch. “It’s not too late, and I got done more than expected today, so I suppose I can come in. If that’s okay?” He visited the Wrights so often these days that he practically lived there, but that didn’t stop him from putting up the pretense that he wouldn’t drop everything to be with them a little while longer.
“I was the one who offered, so of course it’s alright. We always love having you over!” With that, he nodded to Edgeworth and slid out of the car. Edgeworth popped the trunk so he could retrieve his bike and then joined him outside.
They climbed the building’s stairs, and Phoenix fiddled with the keys, letting them both inside his apartment. “Trucy, we’re home!!” he called out.
She bounded towards them. “Shh!! Maya’s asleep on the couch!” she hissed just as loudly as Phoenix was before smiling widely. “Hi Daddy, hi Uncle Miles. What took you two so long? You guys were sitting in the car foreverrrrrr. I made you tea, but it’s getting cold. You should drink it now so it doesn’t go to waste,” she pouted, before nudging him with her elbow playfully. “Unless someone as fancy as you is okay with microwave-reheated tea.” She dragged him towards the small dining table as soon as he took off his street shoes.
Phoenix followed soon after, quite amused.
Trucy sat Edgeworth down with his tea and handed Phoenix a cup of decaf coffee as Maya emerged from the living room, wiping away the sleep from her eyes.
“Oh, hi, Maya. When did you wake up?” Trucy asked.
“About when you shouted ‘SHhHh MaYa’S aSleEp,” she quipped back with faux annoyance as she joined them at the table.
Trucy smiled guiltily before resting her chin on her hands and turning her attention back to Edgeworth. She had more important matters to attend to. “So why were you and Daddy sitting in the car for so long together?” she asked innocently.
Maya perked up at that, entirely forgetting she was still pretending to be grumpy.
“What do you mean? We were just talking, Trucy,” he responded evenly.
“About what, though,” Maya chimed in.
“Yeah, that! You talk inside all the time, so if it’s outside, that clearly means it’s important.”
“Uh, well.” Edgeworth stuttered out. “It was nothing much… really—”
“But, but, I saw you two hugging for like… 30 seconds at least! That’s a lot of time to be hugging, even for Daddy.”
“Trucy enough. Don’t pressure him. This isn’t a court of law; Uncle Miles doesn’t have to tell you anything,” Phoenix interjected.
Trucy collapsed over the table, her excitement deflating into upset frustration. “But why? You two are such... Such… boring-stupid-big-dumb-idiots—”
“—Language—” Phoenix scolded weakly.
“—Why can’t you two just figure it out already!? It’s been forever, but you’re both too stuck in dim-witted overly-serious adult mode to finally just get it together.” Tears started to form in her eyes, and she wiped them away angrily. “Why can’t we just be a proper family like everyone else?” She pointed sharply to Phoenix, “Daddy” and then to Edgeworth, “Mommy.” She crossed her arms, still trying to stop her tears from flowing. “There, I did it for you!”
She got up abruptly from her chair and escaped to her room, shutting the door. Maya looked to the door, to Phoenix, and then to Edgeworth, and back again. She murmured, “I’ll go check up on her,” and left for Trucy’s room.
That left Phoenix and Edgeworth sitting at the table with the weight of what Trucy had just said permeating the atmosphere.
After some time, Phoenix eventually tried to break it. “Listen, I, I’m sorry. I guess I’ve accidentally said some stuff that has made her think, er, some things, and now… I guess… She got the idea that, ugh.”
“Have we really been doing that?”
Phoenix fiddled with his coffee mug, not making eye contact.
“Trucy isn’t an idiot. In fact, she’s probably smarter than the both of us.”
“...Yes”
“Then is she right? All of it?” No amount of self-preservation could stop him asking it when he was now so desperate to hear the answer.
The prolonged silence hung heavily over the two, but Phoenix finally broke it, sounding ragged.
“I didn’t want to scare you away.”
“...Oh… I see.”
Phoenix looked at him at that, unreadable emotions flickering past his face. “You see? So we’re just moving on from so much as finally acknowledging that bottomless rabbit hole then, are we?!” His voice cracked. “Pretending it doesn’t exist for another 15 years.”
“No, Wright, I’m sorry, that’s not what I meant. I wasn’t expecting a response like that. Please. Just give me a moment.”
He opened his mouth as though to protest, before shutting it again, nodding, and sinking into the chair.
Miles desperately tried to wrangle his unruly thoughts into something coherent. He finally managed a question. “What do you mean you didn’t want to scare me away?” Talking is good. Communication is good. He can do this. Even on territory in some self-sabotaging way, he’d hope to never cross.
“It seemed to take you years just to admit I was your friend, Miles. Is it really all that surprising? You still call me Wright most of the time for crying out loud! I didn’t want to be too much because I always seem to be too much. I love intensely, and that’s not something I can just tamper down. I’ve finally gotten you back; I don't want to lose you again.” Once it started, he couldn’t seem to stop. It unraveled out of him like unruly thread. “And yes, sometimes I wondered, sometimes I hoped, but I wouldn’t dare push you into something. So I just ignored it. I ignored what I felt and, eventually, what I felt coming from you. I refused to give myself the hope that you, cold callous Edgeworth, would ever, ever care for me like I do for you. And when that facade slowly broke down, revealing how soft, and kind, and caring, like I’d always known you were, I shut that up too, because this is a line, that if we cross, we can never return. Please, Miles, I don’t want to lose you.”
“Phoenix, I—” Take his hand, take his hand, just somehow comfort him; why can’t you ever seem to comfort him? “Why-” Comfort him, comfort him, you idiot, why can’t you even do that? Not even a simple reassuring touch?! “I don’t want you to.”
“Oh.”
“No! No. I don’t want you to hold back for me.”
“Oh.”
Edgeworth clutched his elbow tightly.
Phoenix wet his lips. “Are you sure, Miles? Please, are you sure? How can you be sure.”
“I don’t think I can. But…” A small smile crept to his lips. “Someone once taught me that sometimes it’s worth putting trust in others, even when you don’t know how it will end.”
“Oh, is that so?” he choked out. “You’ll have to introduce me to him sometime.”
“You are an idiot, Wright, you know that, correct?”
“Shut up. You said don’t hold back, so does this mean I can kiss you?”
Miles let out an undignified squeak but soon nodded repeatedly.
Phoenix got up from his chair to approach him, moving slowly as though Edgeworth was a spooked animal about to bolt. But maybe that wasn’t too far off an assumption, considering how fast his heart was currently beating.
Pheonix cupped his cheek, gently brushing away his silver hair. He leaned down and pressed their chapped lips together. It only lasted a few seconds, but it made Edgeworth feel woozy and his stomach leap. From happiness or pure panic, he did not know.
“Was that okay?” Phoenix’s voice said, reminding him he was still present in a body apparently.
Was it okay? It was more than okay, actually. It wasn’t some grand kiss at the end of Samurai Summer. There were no fireworks or orchestra. But there was Phoenix in his cramped kitchen kissing him, and that was all Miles ever needed. This really was perfection, wasn’t it?
Edgeworth stood up from his chair, leaving only a few inches between them. Regardless, he looked directly at him. “Phoenix, I believe I would like you to kiss me again.”
Phoenix happily obliged.
—⚖—
There was a knock. “Can I come in?” Maya said from behind the door.
Not wanting to use her voice because she was worried it would break from her crying, Trucy got up from her bed and padded over to open the door.
Maya joined her back on the bed. “Do you want to talk about it?”
She sniffled. “I didn’t mean to snap at them like that.” She rested her head against Maya and closed her eyes. Maya wrapped her arm around her shoulders. She sat there a while, just thinking and quietly sitting in Maya’s arms.
Trucy was just getting so frustrated. She loved her dad very much, but there was only so much of his thick-headedness she could take. And, well, okay, it wasn’t just that.
Trucy had always kind of wanted to have a family with two parents again. It’s not that she wasn’t happy! But sometimes, she wondered what it would be like. If it would make her life more normal. And before her dad had gotten his attorney’s badge back, if it would make him less sad. She had long since realized that she was more than content with her strange little family, although, sometimes, it felt like the thought just slipped out and back into her mind, despite the irrationality of it.
Still. There had always been Uncle Miles, and she started to realise he already acted like her second parent. Not only that, her dad and him already acted like a couple too! Still, no matter what happened, they never seemed to acknowledge that. They made each other so happy, but like this, they were also making each other sad.
“Hey, Truce?”
She opened her eyes again. “Hm?”
“Do you think they’re kissing yet?”
Trucy giggled wetly. “They better be, or else I’m gonna have to yell at them again.”
Maya snickered in return, “Heh, yeah.”
Trucy turned her head to look at Maya better. “You know, I do feel bad for yelling at them like that, but I’m not sure I regret it. Other than maybe each other, I’m like… their favourite person. If they can’t figure it out on their own, they’ll at least figure it out for me.”
“Hey, what about me!” Maya exclaimed in mock offence.
“Well, maybe if you didn’t exploit Daddy for so many burgers, you’d be higher up their list,” she teased. The heavy feelings of sadness hadn’t quite yet drifted away, but she was in higher spirits.
“Ehhh, sounds like too much work.”
“Pff, figured as much.” She paused. “I think I still need to apologize, though. I miss having a second parent sometimes, but that’s not their fault. I love the family I do have. You all mean the world to me.”
Maya nodded and smiled fondly. She gave Trucy, who was still in her arms, a quick squeeze.
“In the meantime, though…” She sniffled, smiling smally, but with a glint in her eye. “Wanna peek through the door and see what they’re doing?”
Maya’s expression immediately turned devilish, putting her fingertips together in glee. “Of course.”
They crept towards the door and cracked it open. Maya’s head peaked out, as Trucy’s soon did the same underneath Maya’s. They exchanged a gleeful glance.
They were kissing!!! After so many years spent ignoring their feelings, they were finally kissing!
Just wait till the groupchat hears about this.
Trucy went to pull out her phone to take a picture. She almost dropped it in her haste, catching it at the last second before it made a sound. She went to take a photo.
The flash turned on.
Maya and Trucy looked at each other in a panic. They both tried to back up into the room at the same time. Trucy’s head hit Maya’s legs as Maya was midstride. Maya floundered for something to grab onto, finally grasping onto the door knob. The door followed Maya’s backward descent, swinging open. "Ahh shit!"
The two men broke apart, alarmed. Both looked at them concerned, but Edgeworth's expression soon turned to indignation.
"Maya. Trucy. What the hell are you doing?"

Twitter Polls Make For The Bloodiest Battlefields - Chapter 4
Like Father, Like Son
1 • 2 • 3 (Previous Chapter) • 4 • 5 • 6 • 6.5
Pairing: Sakata Gintoki x Reigen Arataka
Summary: Anime Twitter was thrown into chaos. Thirty-two "DILFs" were thrown into a merciless battle to find out who truly encapsulated the title of Dad I'd Like to Fuck. Two competitors begin to wonder whether the battle is worth it and maybe, just maybe, they can overcome their differences to find a way out.
Genre: Enemies to Lovers
Word Count: 3,152
Warnings: None
Reigen's body is aching as he opens the envelope that Lu has given him. Of course, he doesn't complain, he doesn't need that annoying spirit to think that he won their bet. Although, Reigen has to admit that he's surprised by the amount of effort Dimple put into the job. He would usually be found hovering off to the side, making sarcastic comments and letting Reigen struggle until Mob arrived.
As he begins to pull out the contents of the envelope, he thinks about grabbing a handful of frozen snacks that he could use to numb the areas of pain that cover his body. There are definitely going to be some nasty bruises in the morning, and he does not want Mob to see them. He can feel a particularly nasty one growing on his neck from where he had been hit. There had been an extensive ice lolly collection at the back of the store, he just hopes that it survived the fight.
Wondering if he could possibly get a discount, he looks at the sheet of paper, surprised to find out that it isn't his payment. Instead of 12,000 yen  (including travel costs), he finds himself reading an oddly familiar letter.
Congratulations _Insert Name Here_!
You have been nominated to participate in the Ultimate Anime DILF Awards.
Reigen briefly looks away from the letter to ask Lu where his money is, but she has disappeared and left the counter unattended. This letter definitely isn't meant for him. After all, a DILF is supposed to be a devoted, involved & loving father... at least according to a T-Shirt he saw an older man wearing on an American Sitcom. There was supposedly something very funny about the shirt )although this is up for debate) but Reigen hadn't been paying enough attention to the subtitles to understand it.
You will be transported to the competition grounds as soon as this letter has been read.
Thank you for taking part, and we wish you all the best.
As he finishes the letter, he vaguely remembers reading a similar letter before, although a growing throbbing sensation in the back of his head makes it difficult for him to think clearly. He should probably get himself checked at the doctor's, but he's fairly sure that it's nothing too serious. For example, he can still hear the beeping sound of the store's door opening, and his arms and legs aren't that numb.
He can hear someone talking rather loudly behind him, probably trying to comprehend what could have possibly caused the absolute destruction in front of them. Their voice strikes a slight chord in Reigen's foggy mind, almost like it's reawakening a memory.
 "You!"
The shout is so loud that his body jolts slightly in response.
 "Me?"
He looks up, making eye contact with the blond-haired man. It takes a moment for Reigen and, just as the glimmer of recognition fills his eyes, a strange glow begins to surround his body. He doesn't seem to notice this, choosing to use his last moments to be as unhelpful as ever.
"Ah, you were from the Tw-"
Reigen, of course, doesn't have a chance to finish what he is saying. The glow completely consumes him and, with a very satisfying 'pop' he is transported to an impossible space. His transportation takes a little bit longer than last time, giving him time to think about what Dimple is going to do without him. The spirit definitely can't drive, and Mob isn't going to pick him up...
Well, Reigen is going to be returning when this award-thing is over, all Dimple needs to do is wait. Yeah, Dimple will be absolutely fine. What won't be fine, however, is the rental car which is currently parked near the convenience store. Not only is his parking ticket going to run out in about half an hour, but he's going to get blacklisted by yet another rental company. Perhaps Dimple will be smart enough to possess one of the store's employees and use them to drive the car back.
No. Scratch that. It would just end up with them getting arrested for theft and, while it would solve most of Reigen's car-related problems, he doesn't want to make enemies with a girl who quite literally beat a spirit to death. He really hopes that Dimple isn't that stupid.
Reigen finds himself so caught up in his rental predicament that he doesn't realise that he has been standing motionless in the void for well over a minute. He can slightly register a familiar tinny voice saying something about the competition, but he struggles to focus on it.
 "Are you feeling alright?"
The question floats in the air for a moment, as Reigen tries to place the voice. It's warm but also a little bit scratchy around the edges, almost as if it is being drawn with ink rather than being spoken. It belongs to a white-haired 'witch', although he apparently isn't allowed to show his tricks of the trade in any meaningful way. For Reigen, this is just confirmation that he is an untrustworthy scam artist.
What concerns him more than the fraudulent magician, however, is that the men standing in the void seem a lot more dangerous this time. Of course, Reigen will say that this is due to his psychic prowess when anyone, psychic or not, would have made the exact same realisation. After all, some of the men are carrying a noticeable range of weaponry.
This is magnified by a very intense sensation that someone in the void wants him dead, although this could also be a result of the searing pain which is flowing around his body.
So, in a move that is definitely planned and not because he is in absolute agony, Reigen faints.
If you ask him later on, he will say that he faked fainting in a very convincing manner and that it worked like a charm. If you ask any other person standing in that void, however, you will find out that he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
Now, most people would be absolutely mortified at the idea of their first introduction being them collapsing onto the floor. For Reigen, however, this is a perfect opportunity. In his mind, the stronger contestants will write him off as a weakling while the weaker contestants will take pity on him. It is such a perfect plan that Reigen would pat himself on the back if he wasn't so busy trying to regain consciousness.
He can vaguely hear two people talking above him. One is the witch, but the other voice is unfamiliar. He can make a guess that the second is a doctor, based on the words being used, although it could also be a guy who has watched one too many hospital dramas.
Reigen slowly opens his eyes, finding that he has been laid on his back, staring into the blank nothingness above him. If he didn't know any better, he would think that he had died. However, the repetitive poking feeling on his bruises confirms that he is alive.
"That hurts," is all he can mumble as he tries to roll away from the man.
"Isshin, you should know better," a cold voice says disapprovingly.
"Yeah, it's just that Kīdo doesn't seem to be working."
Reigen can hear the sound of someone being shoved to the side as a pair of hands gently move him into a sitting position. He comes eye to eye with yet another bespectacled white-haired man. Unlike the witch, however, this man's eyes are cold and devoid of empathy. Something that is in stark contrast to his hands which carefully trace over some of the more formidable bruises.
"This is why you shouldn't rely on such useless abilities," he says as he brings up a lanky finger and makes Reigen follow it with his eyes. Once satisfied that there is no concussion, he stands up and drags a larger brown-haired man with him. "You should go to a hospital for a proper check-up," he says over his shoulder while the man who assumes is called Isshin says that his bedside manner is terrible.
"Those two must be very close," the witch says as he watches them continue to bicker. He has a warm smile on his face as he talks, as though he is trying to convince Reigen that he isn't a threat.
As he is making sure that Reigen is going to be alright, a hand is placed on his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Qifrey, give him this," a gruffer voice says. It belongs to a man dressed in similar clothes, although the colour scheme seems to be the exact opposite of Qifrey's. With his spare hand, he passes an odd-looking leaf over, which Qifrey takes; gently squeezing the hand on his shoulder in thanks.
"What would I do without you, Olruggio," he says as he quickly shoves the leaf into Reigen's mouth. It's such a quick movement that Reigen barely has any time to register the taste.
"Don't forget to spit it out," Olruggio says as if it is obvious, keeping his hand on Qifrey's shoulder. His thumb runs in small, comforting circles as Reigen tries to chew the leaf.
The taste is unlike anything he has ever experienced before. He can't even tell if it's good or bad... there's just a lot of it. With each chew, the flavour somehow becomes more intense which leads to him quickly spitting it out. Unfortunately, the strange taste remains but he can feel the aching sensation lessen with every passing second. The bruises, while still a little tender, have lost their intensity and his head feels a lot clearer.
He starts to stand up, still feeling a little shaky on his feet when a man comes over. He has a thick beard and long dark hair which is tied back. What stands out most, however, is his clothes which look like something that you would see LARPers wear.
"It seems like you and the witch know each other," he says in a voice that is as commanding as the ocean. Despite that, there is an almost misplaced layer of kindness in his eyes; a look you would only get from a father. At first Reigen wonders if he should try and brush this off, but it could actually work to his advantage.
"Yes, we've been trapped in this void before," he says, watching as a couple of other men listen in on the conversation. A couple continue to keep their distance, but he can tell that they are paying attention to what he says.
"So this must be the witch's doing then," the Viking says. There is no malice in his voice, making it seem more like a question than a statement. Despite this, Olruggio gently pulls Qifrey back and placed himself between the two men.
"No," Reigen immediately says. He can't concretely say whether the witch is actually involved, but he has nothing to lose by defending him, "it seems that an outside force has been controlling the contest."
"That strange voice from earlier said something about this being a competition to find the Ultimate DILF..," a new man says. He is wearing a high-quality suit that puts Reigen's to shame. The green colour highlights his blond hair and steely blue eyes. Despite how composed he looks, his cold stare puts Reigen a little bit on edge. It is as though there is a detached malice bubbling away under his skin, no matter how much his smile tries to hide it. "But what does that actually mean?"
For a moment, silence falls over the group as they try to recall whether they have heard it before or not. A handful don't even bother trying. This is something that works in Reigen's favour; people flock to those with more knowledge and experience, even if they end up being completely wrong. Not that he's wrong or anything.
"I think it means a devoted, involved, & loving father," Reigen says after a couple of seconds pretending to think his answer through. A couple of the men nod along, seemingly satisfied with his answer, although some look a little more confused.
"I wouldn't use any of those words to describe myself," an older man with ear piercings mutters, "although the father thing might be up for debate." He is wearing a slightly worn-out dark suit and has a deep scar running from the corner of his lip towards his jawline.
"Well, that's why it's a competition," Reigen quickly counters, allowing him to persuade some of the doubters. Of course, there are some who refuse to acknowledge what he has said, but they don't make any moves to challenge him. One man, in particular, seems to be particularly opposed to what Reigen has said.
He stands on the opposite side of the room, his dead, red eyes staring at him unflinchingly. They are a little bit like the man in the green suit's eyes but somehow harbour a more unrecognisable emotion. It's like they are staring straight through his bravado and into something he thought he's long buried away.
 "Are you sure about that?"
The man asks as he walks through the group and right up to Reigen. It is almost impossible to ignore him now. Despite looking like he would tower over the fraud, he actually ends up being a little bit shorter. His silver hair slightly obstructs his eyes, drawing more attention to the rest of his face. Reigen notices a wooden sword at the man's hip and can't help but wonder why someone would carry one around; especially since there are people with actual weapons in the void.
It is either the sign of someone who is extremely powerful, extremely stupid, or maybe both.
Even with the intimidating aura that the samurai has, Reigen can tell that the man is holding something back. It would have been easy for him to come up and give a different answer or some sort of proof to show that Reigen is wrong. But he doesn't. By trying to directly challenge Reigen, he is leaving himself wide open for Reigen to call his bluff.
"Well," Reigen says with faux enthusiasm, "you can correct me if I'm wrong. What do you think a DILF is?"
The samurai looks as though he is going to answer, but at the last second his face starts to burn bright red. If it wasn't for the lethal look in his eyes, Reigen would probably have described it as cute. Instead, it only makes him more unreadable.
After a couple of seconds, the samurai turns on his heel and walks away; his ear tips still a scorching red. It is only when the silver-haired samurai is standing as far away as he can that Reigen notices he isn't wearing any shoes.
Before anyone can even think about breaking the very awkward silence which has fallen over the group, the robotic voice rings out.
"The first round will now begin" it declares as a holo-screen is lowered into the room. On it is a strange arena that Reigen doesn't recognise. The last time he was here, they were made to compete within the void itself. Whoever is running this must have had a serious upgrade. There is a loading circle overlaying the image with the words 'selecting contestants' gently flashing underneath it. It stays there for a couple of seconds before it fades out.
 "The contestants have been selected."
As soon as these words are uttered, two men disappear in a flash. The first is the cold doctor who helped Reigen earlier while the second is a shadowy figure who spent most of his time standing at a distance from the others. They immediately appear on the screen which is now split in two with their names written in obnoxious writing underneath.
'Count Vlad Dracula Tepes vs Ishida Ryūken".
"The rules show now be explained," the robot states before launching into a long-winded explanation that no one seems to fully understand. It started off simple enough, with one child representing each competitor and fighting on their behalf. Easy to understand, right? But then the power system got introduced and everything fell apart. Even after hearing it for a second time, he still feels like his brain is melting.
The only person who seems to have any idea of what was being described is the shoeless samurai. He has a smug grin spread across his face as he looks up at the screen.
Trying his best to ignore him, Reigen looks back at the screen, watching as two holographic figures materialise. The first is a young-looking blond man, his hair falls past his shoulders and his eyes are an entrancing gold. There is something almost other-worldly about him, although the same could also be said of the father.
The second is someone who he recognises. A blunt, bespectacled man who looks like a mirror image of his dad with just a slightly different colour scheme. Ishida Uryū made quite the wave during the Twink Awards when he immediately quit. He didn't even last fifteen minutes, something that many of the other competitors, Reigen included, wish that they had thought of doing. As soon as it happened, however, forfeiting was banned, leaving the others trapped in the competition.
 "Fight one, begin."
As soon as the robotic voice utters these words, a red banner fills the screen declaring that Dracula is the victor. This seems to stun everyone, including the robot which emits a high-pitched whirring sound as it tries to comprehend what just happened.
"I get to leave now, right?" Ishida says, not wasting a second. Apparently, he chose to flee and immediately forfeit the match. The two holograms disappear and the competitors are brought back into the void. When Reigen had to sit through the son's ten-minute complaining session, he had assumed that their differences were what caused fractures in their relationship. But Reigen's beginning to think there might have been a different problem.
Isshin immediately walks over to Ryūken and laughs while slapping a hand on his shoulder.
"Not even going to put up a fight, huh?"
Ryūken steps to the side, letting the hand on his shoulder slip off.
"I don't have time to waste on frivolities such as this," he says cooly. He is definitely like his son. Without another word, he disappears while still wearing a frown on his face. As the loading overlay appears on the screen for a second time, Reigen finds himself wondering if he could pull a similar stunt.
"Contestants, this is an emergency announcement. The 'Flee' button has now been classed as an illegal move. Thank you for your co-operation," the robotic voice says, clearly trying to cover up their blunder as quickly as possible.
Well, Reigen thinks to himself, that's just typical.

im having Thoughts about a sandman/bbc merlin crossover entirely because of this post and you are all going to hear them .
pretty much just continuing off of my tags on that reblog, i LOVE the concept of merlin just. EXISTING in that world. and how that would all work. after i read that post i was like what would he even BE? would he be a lost endless himself? and then it came to me, because DUH-- the triple goddess. the three-in-one (god help me i still think of shampoo everytime i refer to them as that). im just gonna put my tags here because it's easier than restating everything i already said:
Tumblr media
i'm not sure of exactly WHAT merlin's role would be in this world-- maybe he's the embodiment of magic on earth, the "anthropomorphic embodiment of human magic" just as dream is the anthropomorphic embodiment of dreams. all the stuff that was true in bbc merlin could still apply: once earth had its OWN magic, just as the dreaming and all the other endless's realms did, in the form of plentiful human magic users and magical creatures, but king uther's purge wiped nearly all of it away. the three-in-one, who perhaps watched over this world just as they did all the others, had to rectify this unbalance by creating one single being, in which was held all that lost power: merlin. emrys. he is not an endless, not in name or ancestry, but he is a protector of the world in his own right; lord of magic, magical creatures, magic-users. the waking world IS his domain. i don't know how arthur would factor into this, except maybe the "golden age" he and merlin are prophecised to bring about is a world in which magic roams freely in the waking world again? i don't really have that worked out.
ANYWAY. now im having thoughts about, like OP of the og post said, merlin and hob (each going by whatever monicker they've chosen this particular century) teaching history at the same school and taking notice of each other, because both of them know the signs of an immortal undercover and see them in one another-- and perhaps hob even recognizes something OTHER in merlin, that speck of otherworldliness he's only ever seen in his strange friend. something a bit too knowing, too ethereal about the eyes; something eternal and ageless about that smile which, so unlike his strange friend's, is almost ever-present. they confront each other and maybe, in hopes of learning more about the odd stranger he meets once every century, hob asks about him; described him to merlin and inquires about him. in response, merlin smiles and replies something along the lines of "it appears you've caught the eye of one of the Endless. more than one, most likely, if you've managed to stay alive this long."
and now i'm having OTHER bbc merlin/the sandman crossover thoughts, as well-- because in this hypothetical world, merlin watches over all magic users, he is RESPONSIBLE for them. seeing any new person make use of the magic in the world fills him with great joy, because it means that magic is reawakening at last. merlin takes it upon himself to investigate new magic-users, and perhaps in one such investigation, he stumbles upon a disgrace to magic-kind: roderick burgess, who calls himself "the magus" and twists magic to serve him in the darkest, most corrupt ways. merlin is disgusted, and seeks to stop him-- and maybe, in doing so, finds that that "devil locked in his basement" is not quite the myth everyone thinks.
i said in the tags of that post that i'd most likely not be the one to write that fic if it got written, but now im considering going back on my words HDJFBFJFB-- i will admit that im far more familiar with bbc merlin than i am with the sandman, as i've only ever watched the show and never read the comics, so any fic i DID write would probably be from merlin's perspective (or hob's, since the show doesn't tell you too terribly much about him and id feel free to play around with his character a but). my problem when it comes to writing fanfiction is that i'm never too sure of how to write someone "in character" and i get intimidated trying to, so id probably be far too intimidated to write anything from dream's perspective-- but, well, we'll see what happens :P
