#kai.rambles #i was feeling sad bc my grandma is in the hospital and when i went to visit her they wouldn’t let me pass bc my license is expired #which okay ik that’s my fault but i took my passport with me just in case and the guy straight up told me that it wasn’t a valid form of id #and im like yeah tf it is ITS A PASSPORT and he said no #and while i was waiting for my mom to come down to the lobby an old lady came in and he turned her away for the same thing #and dudeee okay you turn me away fine fuck off but an old ladyyy??? at that age they don’t pay attention to that just let her pass #and then he argued with another woman bc she brought a flower arrangement and it had water so he couldn’t allow it HELLOOO??!? #so i had to leave and went to go get breakfast for my mom at least bc she stayed the night and i was supposed to stay the day #and when i came back to give her the food she told me that the nurse that was with my grandma asked what happened bc she wasn’t expecting #my mom to return and when my mom told her she immediately got so angry bc that same guy #didn’t allow her and a couple other nurses to bring in a cake for one of the residents #who’s birthday is today and they had a full on argument this morning #so it was all in all awful and now my mom has been there for more than 20 hours until later tonight when my aunt goes over :( #anyway this turned into a whole rant im sorry but im so mad bc i know for a FACT that a passport is a valid form of id #and he was just being a fkn dick #but the girl called me pretty and it took some stress off and she really liked my blush #and i liked hers so we had a little makeup 101 exchange and it was so nice at least 🥺 #and i have a couple cute asks to answer that have made my day as well so i’ll get to those in a few 🥰

Hey hey so, just a friendly plea that when you're a guest at hotels/resorts - please give the workers providing you service due consideration, if nothing else.

Yes, we understand you pay a lot to stay at our resort for your vacation. Yes, we get paid to make your stay as comfortable as we can. But also understand that we're humans as well? We aren't the roombas in your house you can turn on at your command. You aren't the only guest we service; some days are busier than others and often times we're required to prioritize certain rooms over others.

It's frustrating for us too when we can't get to everything as fast as we like! - but we're required by brand standards to smile and be polite no matter how stressed or overwhelmed we are. We're trained on how important it is to conduct ourselves properly to appear friendly and accommodating. It'd be nice to receive the same decency in return sometime.

Also, I'm not sure if this is common across most hotels, but for the one I work at, if you call the front desk and request housekeeping service for your room, they will put a ticket in, and the housekeeper it's assigned to will make it their priority to complete at their earliest opportunity. If it was really that much of an issue that you get service, that you have to get entitled and passive-aggressive to the housekeeper - there were ways for you to communicate that to us beforehand! Hell, you could have even just approached me in the hall earlier and asked outright, instead of waiting to make an excuse to get pissed off! I had 15+ turnovers that take priority over the stayover I didn't know you so desperately fucking needed, thank you very much.

me when i realize that pretty much everything in my life has actually only gotten worse since i graduated highschool, and all the times i was told things would get better were absolutely false !!!!!!

#i am going fucking insane. this is so stupid #i had a social life. i had friends. i had a job i could keep up with outside of school. i had a solid routine and schedule. #i had insurance. i didnt have to worry about money. i didnt have to buy groceries. i didnt have to cook every day. #i had enjoyable group activities. i had ppl telling me i was doing a good job. i had AUTHORITY FIGURES telling me i was doing a good job!!!! #i had a place to go to be away from home every weekday!! i had hope for the future still to some extent (not a lot but more than i do now)! #I DONT HAVE ANYYYY OF THAT NOW. I do have friends but not in-person!!! zero social life except hospital out-patient bullshit!!! #anyways the highschool is doing one of my fav musicals that i came THIS CLOSE to doing my grad year #but the vote was indecisive so they did some bullshit that nobody was happy with lmfao #i fucking petitioned hard. lobbied HARD. to get us to do that musical. i worked so hard to get everyone on board #but everyone was just waffling about it. and then we ended up w smth that nobody was happy with #AND NOW THIS YEAR. THEYRE DOING THAT FUCKING MUSICAL. THAT HURTS. LIKE A LOT.
