Nightmare King by Noctus Fury

Season 1 Episode 13 "Total Nightmare"

I really enjoyed this episode as it gave Snotlout and Hookfang an extra layer of character development and growth. And it was really lovely to see a further inside look into the Monstrous Nightmares. That was a lovely treat! 🥰

I also loved seeing Snotlout bonding with both of his Nightmares. I could totally see him just hanging out with them or babysitting the babies so that Hookfang and Mrs. Hookfang could "go on a date hunt" or whatever. So precious! 🥰

Anyone else think that Snotlout should just establish a Nightmare Sanctuary. 👀

Though I have to say that I was rather disappointed that we didn't get to see the female Nightmare get named. "Female Hookfang" is rather... I'll just say it, it's LAZY!! Just call her "Dragonfruit" or "Ember" or something. 😩

It's also sad that we don't get to see her or the babies again. I kinda wanted passing scenes or mentions of them and see Snotlout occasionally see them with Hookfang. But I guess I'll have to satisfy that urge with a fanfic or three. 😤

It was also disappointing to not see the baby Nightmares. I'm sure they were adorable! 🥺

Fun fact/headcanon about Viggo in my AU.

He frequently visits the Monstrous Nightmare that saved him.

Her name is now Savior, respectively.

And this man,

THIS ONCE INTIMIDATING AND SCARY MAN

TALKS IN A BABY VOICE

TO THIS DRAGON

AND SHE FUCKING LOVES IT!

SHE ACTS LIKE A BIG FREAKING EXCITED PUPPY WHENEVER HE VISITS AND GETS EVEN MORE EXCITED WHEN HE SPEAKS TO HER IN A BABY VOICE.

VIGGO’S SAVIOR IS VERY UNDERRATED AND DESERVES MORE ATTENTION, AND I’M HERE TO GIVE IT TO HER!

Oh my gosh, no you are not asking too many questions! I love answering.

Anyway I’d have to say my second favorite is a gronckle, they are just so sweet and adorable. Now my favorite color scheme for the nightmare is purple and yellow. For the gronckle it’s either green or brown.

My brain is very fixated on two things at once.

One being @sergeantsporks Gilded AU

The other being the How to train your dragon books

So naturally I will be given some of the Gilded boys dragons based on their book version so without further ado

Mole:

Mole has befriend the Nanodragons (Bug size dragons often over looked)

The Nanodragons weren't happy to be found but they weren't exactly upset that at last someone took notice of the dragons in the grass

Mole let's them play amoung the plants with out bothering them and in turn they keep away peste

The Nanodragons would kill for Mole

And if anyone insults him they will have a swarm of Nanodragons big enough to block the sun decending upon them screaming "HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE KIND ONE!"

They also help pollinate the garden :)

Cherry:

Cherry has a Blood red Monstrous Nightmare

Monstrous Nightmares are about the size of a Rottweiler

Their name is Blossom

Mostly cause I thought I'd be funny to have Cherry and Blossom

Monstrous Nightmares by unspoken Viking law can only be owned by the Cheif or the Cheifs son

So Cherry being the big brother to everyone gets one

Blossom is unbelievably well trained

Like to the point were Cherry doesn't even have to be around for them to know what needs to be done.

There's a fight in the house? Blossoms there already glaring at who ever was fighting

And your stuck there untill Cherry arrives

Revenge Squad

They have a mean looking Gronkle

It's all of theirs and they have collectively named them Vengince

It was a "Well if I can't name myself Vengince then we can this dragon Vengince" sort of thing

Vengince is the size of a large dog

And they are the best hunting dragon anyone in the Squad could ask for

Their fast and the sense of smell and hearing just *chef's kiss*

They spoil that Gronkle rotten

They just adore them

They also love that they could potentially kill Belos

Lake & Locke

They both have an Eight-Legged Nadder

Both are almost identical in colour

Both have almost similar names

The Nadders stay around their neck 90% of the time

Lake and Locke Claim they are the only ones who can tell the Nadders apart

That's wrong Sam can also tell the Nadders apart

When asked how he gave answer that was essentially "Ones left claw on their fourth foot is always chipped"

That's all I have I may think of more as time gose on who knows.
