Maverick Release Party

So if it’s true that Maverick comes out on Paramount+ July 11, that’s my day off AND it’s the day before my BIRTHDAY so I will be watching it from sunrise to sundown and I will be online all day. So I’d love to do one of those sleepover/celebration things! (ik Monday is when most people do have jobs, but it’ll be an ALL DAY PARTY HUNY)

Here’s some ideas of ask games I’m down to do! 

- headcanons: send me a character and a scenario/situation and I’ll write how they would react/what they would do (short headcanons)

- FMK: self-explanatory, can be any of the Top Gun characters or ANY character ever created! Or real people too!

- would you rather/this or that:  send me two options and I have to pick one of them

- would you ever write...: send me any scenario and I’ll tell you if I’d be DTW (down to write)

- top 5 lists: ask about anything and I’ll tell you what my top 5 are for it (movies, songs, colors, locations, anything)

- ask about old fics or upcoming works

- song association: send me a character and I’ll make a playlist for them! Again, can be any character from anything ever, although I can’t promise how familiar I’ll be with them 

- or just come vibe with me in my inbox or in messages! 

What would be super cool is if there was some kind of Discord group or Netflix Party thing where we could all watch together and freak out in the chat. Imma pin this post and reblog it closer to the day, as long as this is the actual confirmed date. If it’s released later for some reason, I’ll figure out another time to do it!

i was thinking of how Tamaki would call Mei (a manga only character). Read it if you haven’t. Even if you dont like the end ship the characters are so well done.

I dont remember what he actually calls her, but if not “princess” (hime I think?) he would call her “Mei-chan” right??

And bc I was used to take french in school and Tamaki’s half-French, all I could think of was the french word méchant. (The t is silent).

(Though -chan in Japanese and the end of méchant in French sound slightly different).

But it was funny to me bc méchant can describe someone mean or dangerous.

And Mei is shown to be someone Kasanoda finds scary. Who was raised to be a leader of a mafia. And known for his scary reputation.

I’ve been off my game! (Literally) I haven’t been giving Spiral Scouts enough attention and I’m gonna try to get caught up! A while ago Plixik, the person drawing all the beautiful artwork in spiral scouts made a “Development History” video I reblogged it so if you want to watch it, it’s really informative He shows off some things we haven’t see so I’ll go over that now The first pic is shows some artwork of characters that were made at the beginning of the development of the game The lower left guy was the original main character but got replaced by Remae Plixik says that all the designs got scrapped except two, which are Sol, the cloak guy we saw in the hunie direct, who looks relatively the same as the concept art, with a few changes like a blue spiral on his stomach instead of green, eyebrows, and a more gruff look to him And the girl next to him, I’m not gonna lie, I can’t match her to any of the girls from the first pic, I’m thinking the girl with lavender hair or the girl with pink hair, both beside Sol But her hairstyle and color don’t match, or her eye color or outfit, other than that tho, she looks cute and I hope she’s full of personality Next two pictures are one of the first spreadsheets and a complete spreadsheet that’ll be in the game You can definitely see how his art improved from the beginning to now, there is so much detail when you compare the trees He said he some assets we reused and redrawn but the rest was scrapped I’m really impressed by the quality and I hope to see more after the game comes out!
