Its had many delays and is long overdue but I’ll be releasing the ultimate SpongeBob ships tier list tomorrow. Before I do, here are a few things to keep in mind:

All pairings have been unironically considered at least once by at least one person

Even if a single person said something like “I don’t really ship it but it has potential” or “I think I’ve seen it or heard of it once” or merely mentioned the ship a way that doesn't come off as mocking or sarcastic, it counts

Crackships also count (as long as they're genuine)

This tier is best suited for those very familiar with the Tumblr side of the fandom and have the deepest SpongeBob hyperfixation (like me)

In other words, I expect a lot of people to put a lot of ships in the “how is this a thing?” tier lol

Unfortunately, some pretty terrible pairings will be included, but I gotta follow my own rules and put in every SpongeBob ship I can find, regardless of how I feel about the pairing itself

Despite the many pairings I’ve uncovered, the list may still be incomplete, so feel free to share any SpongeBob ships I may have missed, even after I post the tier list (assuming I can add extra images to my own template)

Ships from the musical won't be included (see tags for explanation)

I even compiled a chart for my own reference that shows the characters involved in the ship, as well as something that validates its existence (whether it’s a link to fanart or something else). So if you find yourself completely flabbergasted by some of the pairings, feel free to send me an ask or dm asking for proof that they exist

Anyways, remember that cringe culture is dead and any comments mocking SpongeBob ships and/or the fandom itself will be removed 💛💛

#gave into the hyperfixation. rewatched Highlander last night. unsurprisingly it really clicked with me this time. it’s a little funny to me #bc I’ve gone on record of saying I though lambert was horrible in it before. and now I love him! so I really enjoyed him! i understood what #he was doing perfectly. I liked that the movie looked like a music video half of the time. there was some baffling scene to scene editing #but that was probably due to a lack of coverage? just very jumpy. Clancy Brown looks cooler than anyone has ever had the right to in that #armor. and Sean Connery is terrific! goated perfomance I’m afraid! I like his death scene it inexplicably turns into evil dead #anyway. I like Highlander. neurodivergently. Christopher Lambert was my most watched actor of 2023
