idk how other ppl learn to read characters but even when someone has very few lines, if they're not a few throwaway lines and have a smidgen of thought put into them, you can really deduct a lot of things from what they say without mountains of dialogue and array of actions they take.
cIaus, even Iucas via his few lines and interactive dialogue, is so easy to understand and learn what hes about from the dialogue you are given. it shouldnt be hard to mess him up
and even tho these are more active characters in the story with goals to achieve and story beats to hit, u rly can apply the same to lngo and 3mmet. u can make assumptions or deduct possible aspects about how they act from breaking down their dialogue and possible routine. some things might be completely speculative and pulled out of thin air but as long as it matches the characters general front its hard to go wrong

question: do ppl ACTUALLY say things they don’t mean when they’re angry? or is that just an excuse after letting something true slip? i wouldn’t ever say something i don’t mean in anger, so the concept confuses me.
but something was said to me that is bothering me, though apparently was said in an argument and wasn’t meant. but i don’t rlly believe it wasn’t like, deep down true thoughts/feelings??? anyone have any insight? anyone say things they don’t mean in anger?
EDIT: this was a hastily worded post that i didn’t expect to get notes. this is a genuine question asked in good faith that i got a lot of amazing answers to!
also re: the many ppl saying “OP is lying about not saying things they don’t mean in anger because everyone does it”— i genuinely have never done that. if i say something mean while angry, i meant it. that’s literally why i asked this question and why the concept confuses me, because i wouldn’t do something like that so i wanted perspective from people who do it. idk why y’all can’t believe that lmao not everyone is as prone to anger and outbursts

it’s a small thing, but while I was working on the Transmogrification Explained Part 2 I caught something that I thought was interesting enough to share.
At this point (see below) at the end of the finale, after the ceremony, all the housemates go into the fancy room and Nandor says something about playing Parcheesi right before he takes a brief moment to comfort Guillermo the tiniest bit.
Right afterwards however, instead of doing as he said he would and follow everyone else into the fancy room, he heads right, down the hallway, most likely going straight to his room.
All the nonchalance and dismissal and ‘hey, let's pretend everything is fine and back to normal now!’ talk is a feint. Nandor doesn’t go into the fancy room to take comfort with the group and deny that anything important happened, and since he told Guillermo to clean up Derek before sunrise (something I thought was odd at the time because why would it matter if Guillermo left it until sunrise when everyone would be asleep anyways), he knows Guillermo won’t follow him.
Nandor is choosing to be alone after all this. It’s a very neat little character bit that is easily overlooked within the noise of the episode. While the tone at the end of the ceremony looks like everyone is moving back to square one and blatantly ignoring the seriousness of the situation to do something as banal as a board game, the actual actions of the characters show that there really is devastation amongst them. Guillermo’s obvious, but Nandor’s is hidden with a line that distracts us from noticing that he actually retreats from everyone and hides away.
It really makes me wonder what Nandor did after everything. Used the time to get himself ready for bed so Guillermo couldn’t wouldn’t have to do it when he got back? Sulked? Had a tantrum? Went into his treasure room to read Guillermo’s thank you card again and again?
oh and another little thing: Guillermo and Nandor are the only ones who still have their robes on after the ceremony, and actually end the scene still in them. All the other characters almost immediately took them off after the lights went on.
having them the only two that still wear the robes feels so significant to me. like they’re still in this ritual between them. Or, if the bondage rope part of it comes into play, they are still tied to each other. There’s definitely something to be read here, with both Nandor keeping the rope-cape on and pretending like he was going to follow the others but going to his room instead. Whatever it is, one thing’s for certain to me: Nandor is Not Okay after the ceremony.

Pete and Ted are so. Ted sees so much of himself in Pete. Ted just wants to stop himself from making the mistake with Jenny but he cant, so he stops Pete from making the same mistake. Ted wants to be better for Pete. Pete is why Ted cant be better. Ted is cursed to never succeed at the one thing he wants to do, but by protecting Pete, he can succed bcs Pete is Ted before he fucked up with Jenny. Ted is an asshole. Pete has never done anything wrong. Ted would do anything for him.
Ted is cursed to always make the same mistakes but Pete's future is completely open. Ted cant achieve the one thing he wants. The only thing he can do is help Pete.

i love your codywan takes so much, do you have any headcanons or fun things about them that you wish people talked/wrote about more?
WAHOO CODYWAN ASK!
Something I've been Thinking about is them being aware, mature and professional enough to not get together in any way during the war. But now throw them into the Rebellion—they end up as co-workers again, except with all that O66 baggage between them and so few people to rely on but each other. And despite them now being equals in rank, they still fall back into that professional Not Doing Anything dynamic even though their old relationship has been destroyed, even though they're much more charged, even though these new hardships weld them so much closer together. It's about the CHANGE. It's about the YEARNING. Raghhh this thought has been making me go insane!!
I've also been a bit brainwormed by Force sensitive Cody, mostly because I wanna see his identity struggle. He's a command clone. One of thousands. He's been saddled with endless responsibility and suddenly he can tap into this power that could get him taken away to Kamino or to the Temple and while the former is out of the question, I wanna see him torn between his old duty and his new possibilities. And the way this would push him closer to Obi-Wan is SO TASTY. Advice. Shared meditation. Lightsaber practice. And uhhh the possible implications if Palps heard that this clone has the Force? Ohhh this could go SO downhill SO fast I shan't say more
