Galaxy bra1n on Tumblr What do you think about this post? I just happened upon it honestly, and it just... made me squirm tbh. I just don't like it. But I'm not sure how to put it into words, so I'd really like to know your thoughts on it if it's not too much of a bother ofc. I don't mean any offense to the OP too, it's just that this take rubs me the wrong way. Really love your blog!
Yeah lol this take is weird for a few reasons. First of all if you don't mind the ship idk why you care about what is a "good" reason to ship them. Characters can and have been shipped together because they looked at each other once and for no reason at all, and that's perfectly fine because like, who cares?
Second, I am so tired of people blaming Zuko for Azula shooting lightning at Katara. Zuko wasn't goading Azula out of stupidity or pride, he was trying to end the fight quickly without involving anyone else using a move he knew Azula had no defense against that he had used once before against his father, to quickly end a fight without violence. He did not think Azula would go for Katara because that is against the rules - that Azula set, because she challenged Zuko - of an agni kai. You could MAYBE say that Zuko should have anticipated that Azula would cheat, but that's always been their dynamic. Zuko is always too honorable and Azula is always lying and cheating. What has changed is that she's no longer able to manipulate Zuko and is revealed to be the lying cheater that she always was, but that still doesn't mean he could have anticipated her aiming at Katara, who had to be exactly in the right place at the right time.
As far as him "doing the bare minimum"...I mean, I do think he would have done it regardless of who it was who was in danger and his relationship to them, but that's not a reason to diminish what he did, either. It takes incredible fortitude to put yourself in harm's way for another person, and fast reflexes to get there in time. Katara herself is frozen to the spot, which is a natural reaction to danger, but if Zuko had done that or not reacted fast enough or even been slightly off, she or he would have died instantly. So let's not belittle what Zuko did in sacrificing his own life to save someone else in an incredible act of selflessness, compassion, and heroism just because we don't like a ship.
Third, these takes always miss WHY it's seen as a shippy moment. It's not only the culmination of a specific narrative arc between the three of them, the thematic motif of Zuko being positioned between what Azula and Katara represent to him, respectively, the choice between selfishness and selflessness, hate and love, cruelty and forgiveness - which alone are pretty damn good reasons to ship them. But not only that, it's the strong emotions that are created from that act. I don't think Zuko jumped in front of the lightning because he loved her. But you can't help but love someone after that, after giving your whole being to another person in that moment. And Katara does the same thing for Zuko. Sure, you could argue that she would have done it anyway, her morals wouldn't allow her to let him die, but the act itself still remains, with all its meaning, and the emotion behind it.
And the narrative goes out of its way to tell us that this is impossible! That a failure to redirect lightning correctly will result in perma-death. That Katara's powers of healing alone weren't enough to bring someone back from that precipice without spirit water. But they do it anyway. They save each other, through sheer force of will, and they can't not be tied to each other after that.
If that's not a good enough reason to ship, I don't know what is. Which doesn't mean you have to, of course. You are free to not vibe with a ship, regardless of the reasoning behind it. But don't tell me it's not a damned good reason.

I'd give you an analysis, but frankly from what I've seen from your own "analysis" you're not very good at reading
also if you'd be so kind to tag this as mha spoilers, or screenshot this ask and put it under a read more so i dont spoil anyone who's interested in reading mha. it'd be greatly appreciated
(also thanks for getting rid of anon, this time i will include pics !)
anyway, this is the "straight dude who is having a typical cutesy high school het romance with a girl in a taken for granted het world." you're talking about;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also i wont lie, calling mha a het world when these are real dialogue is highkey stupid:
Tumblr media
and i know the topic at hand is s/n/s and bk/dk but lets pivot to tg/chk bc theyre more relevant to what im saying
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
theres a lot to say but honestly, the manga speaks for itself :)
oh and also, you're right, bk/dk has no romantic subtext - it has romantic text. no subtlety needed! :) that is, if you have read the manga - my favourite example is this:
Tumblr media
and then shgrk then proceeds to kill bkg, who "dies" (sort of) thinking about izuku in his final moments:
Tumblr media
and then izk loses control when he sees bkg "dead" on the ground
Tumblr media
and these are from recent chapters! imagine the rest of the series, ey
well! that got long. i'd tackle your crappy assessment of deku's character, but then I'd be here all day!
anyways, if i were you, I'd reread mha and really really understand the text you're reading. you might end up seeing something you missed at first!
Aiyyo someone got triggered! Hehehe. Ah it was inevitable that the moment I talked about MHA and rejected shippy head canons from the show, some delusional hardcore shipper would get all up in arms. Sigh.
You think what you wrote is analysis? Hehehe.
So just some random panels and chapter covers from the manga prove Bakugou or Deku is gay? Lol. I have seen fans like you in Naruto fandom as well. But you are right, I am not as invested in MHA, because it just doesn't have the versatility and genius of Naruto and Shippuden, it is actually quite a straightforward story and I don't need to burn a lot of my braincells to 'get it'. Lol. I am not saying it's bad, but as compared to its contemporary mangas, it just isn't at par for my tastes. It's good for entertainment but it doesn't affect me like other mangas that it takes inspiration from. Some silly shipper telling me I can't read, I would tell you my credentials but nah, too much work for disproving silly ass headcanons.
Fans make comparisons between Naruto and BNHA because Horikoshi is inspired by Kishimoto, definitely some similarities are there, but it misses on the most crucial point. Naruto and Shippuden are love stories. BNHA is simply your typical shounen manga. Naruto and Shippuden use the narrative tool of subversion to tell a love story in the restrictive genre of shounen. It has multiple layers and you need presence of mind to see them. Naruto is gay and you see comphet in his character, his interest in Sakura looks superficial from the beginning and then in kage arc, it is concluded as a mere cover to run from confronting his dilemma, and closetedness. His character is consistently shown as having an internal fight, a dilemma. Sasuke is just on your face, he is clearly shown as having no interest in women, but with Naruto he is especially intimate on his own accord. Ya know, using random panels ain't gonna help, you need to establish it in the narrative. Headcanons are all nice to entertain when that's all you watch media for, shipping. But please to be showing more maturity and media comprehension when sending me an ask, I am not very sympathetic to gaslighters whose heads are filled with shippy shit and cheap self gratification. When I talk Naruto, I make comparisons with other clearly gay media, and point out the common tropes, it's a result of expansive research. Not just random panels that prove nothing. Little one, you need more than that to prove your theories. I have watched a wide range of media, including gay media, your ask is just representative of your ignorance and lack of knowledge about how storytelling and character building works. Heh. Or do you think BNHA has its own concept of homosexuality, its own private language that cannot be compared with how other media establishes homosexuality in a given universe? Yeah, solipsistic ideas like that cannot be taken seriously.
Conformity is one of the pillars Japanese society is built upon, so it's not surprising that Japanese media talks upon how anything that doesn't conform to the norms is rejected. Their media is representative of their society. Mha also touches upon that and there's no surprises there, but again, you need more than that to prove it in the course of plot building and narrative. Some random out of context panel about some character saying something about conformity proves your point? You need to SHOW it and not just tell. But where other mangas, great mangas, popular and critically well acclaimed mangas have explored this idea in detail, MHA is just touch and go. It doesn't entertain a balanced proper discourse on it. It is truly shounen in that sense. Again, I am not saying it is bad, it is just more age appropriate. Which is totally fine. Do you know how heteronormativity is established in the narrative? Like this. Show me where this happens in MHA. Lol. Sweetheart, if the writer had made any attempt to write this world as heteronormative, where gay characters face challenges, I would have seen it. But mha is just not that deep. Sorry to burst your bubble. But that's just a fact.
Seriously, you are going to give me the example of Toga? I haven't gone through the recent chapters yet. I have only watched the anime. But it is clear that, that girl is medically insane. Her idea of liking someone is to kill that person and drink their blood, for her own pleasure. She ain't a homosexual, more like hemosexual. Hahaha. Again, you gotta show me the trajectory of her character, start with the base and show me how it escalates, how does she learn better about herself, her own feelings, the world from her perspective. No character is isolated, any writer who is talented enough to write multimillion franchise knows that. Don't project your assumptions on the story and the characters, work with what you have and draw the meaning from what's given, not the other way round.
There is no doubt Izuku and Bakugou have a strong relationship, even if it is mostly rivalry. But one can see that Bakugou cares about Deku and vice versa. Before telling me how to read, perhaps you should have done it yourself. Lol, I see this type of behaviour a lot from typical silly shippy shippers. "What, did you just say my ship makes no sense? 🤬"
Read.
Do you even know what subtext or text is? Hahah. This is text and subtext. So just because Bakugou and Deku talk about their rivalry in their vulnerable moments, that the audience knows as congruent since we have already seen they have a hot and cold relationship but that they are friends nonetheless, that proves they love each other romantically? You obviously don't know how romance tropes work. The dynamic between two men who respect and admire each other is always shown with a lot of empathy in Japanese media. It is one of the founding pillars of shounen, a genre meant for teenaged boys. They are certainly closer to each other than they are with women they are interested in, but a lot of fans such as yourself misinterpret it as romantic, because headcanon goggles. No, you gotta have more than that. Where Naruto and Shippuden have it in truckloads, none of that in BNHA. Deku is heterosexual af. If he is so interested in Bakugou, how come he reacts the way he reacts to Uraraka? Where is his conflict? Where is his dilemma? His affection and romantic interest in Uraraka is genuine and sincere, not a cover to hide his more private feelings. Unlike in Naruto's case. Kishi uses clever narrative tricks and tools to tell his love story in shounen and he does it skillfully. His motives and intentions are clear as water. He uses inventive smokescreens and red herrings to escape from being too controversial and colour inside the borders of shounen, nothing like that in BNHA. To begin with, Horikoshi doesn't even delve into the sexualities of his characters, because his story is not about that. There's no context, no set up, nothing. His worldbuilding is simply conventional, by which I mean heteronormative, there's no talk about sexual orientation of characters. You see the usual shounen perviness by Mineta and Kaminari and typical straight girls going kawaai over good looking boys like Todoroki, what impression does that give? If Horikoshi wanted to establish his characters being gay, he would have set up the context mindfully and carefully, like Kishi did. Gay relationships and characters can't be shown so explicitly in shounen as that would jeopardize its distribution in the west. Reason? Censorship. That's why Kishi had to be so careful, his target audience might not get it, but the adults do. Well, unbiased adults do, at the very least. So the boys in bnha are gay just because? Because you want them to be? Storytelling and character building doesn't work like that.
Seriously everything you think works as 'analysis' isn't even valid. I honestly didn't even want to respond to this ask, given it's so surface level and ridiculously simple minded. Perhaps you are a tween or teen who thinks every time two boys or girls smile at each other or rescue each other, they are gay and in love. Lol, watch gay media. Like actually watch it and see where your arguments stand in the scheme of things. I will tell you, nowhere. Juvenile kiddy stuff. I won't entertain anymore asks like these, they are a waste of my time.

(screencapped to stay out of the tags)
I'm going to be bundling my other tricky asks as always in one post under a cut but this one as actually a learning curve for me as someone who doesn't really follow Max stuff.
I genuinely hadn't realized just how much time Lando had spent with Max privately and non-F1 weekend related. I'm not esp a Max fan which would explain me missing a lot but I did know they had a pretty solid friendship that dated more closely to his friendship with George and Alex - but damn that's way more time spent with Max than any other driver this season!
what's funny too is that Max is actually super happy to be physically affectionate in a flirty way with other guys similar to how Lando is. Carlos is only like that with certain guys, namely Charles and guys his own age that he deems as "pretty". but as someone who pulled shippy shit from any car|ando interaction I can honestly say that the "ooh they touched in a sexy way!" stuff was just how Lando is with guys. Carlos firmly has Lando in the little brother/friend space and literally says he thinks Lando is "cute" and that it's weird when people ask them to kiss. and yes, they have dinner sometimes and travel on the same plane sometimes to the next race - but just this season Lando did that with Daniel and Oscar and Max as well.
so surely Max including Lando in all this personal life stuff and spending time together online and in Monaco during the winter break is a HUGE threat to car|ando? I genuinely can't and don't want to try and understand the larry mentality of RPF but if I had to guess then it's something as wild as them considering Max as already part of a major RPF ship (|estappen or maxtie|) that's supposedly ALSO taking place under cover of all these "fake" girlfriends? man I wish I could remove the terms "beard" and "escort" from these people's vocabulary.
I've also got an ask that apparently charlos causes rage for both |estappen and car|ando bc they have an agenda that Charles and Carlos hate each other but then keep getting infuriated when Charles mounts Carlos or Carlos won't stop touching Charles' thighs or they try to kiss for the millionth time. akgfsakfgaf how exhausting must it be keeping these theories going I caaaan't
but returning to your ask yea fact is that Lando is way closer and more of a friend outside F1 with Max than Carlos. they meet up probably the same amount during the drivers parades as car|ando and sometimes even get handsy. but I guess somehow that's different ?? even when Lando has teased that RB would be his only temptation away from McLaren and Christian Horner wants to en plein air fuck Lando ???
from what I can tell, Daniel was never considered a threat to car|ando which continues to be bizarre bc purely objectively again, I would say he's more of a friend outside F1 to Lando than Carlos. not by a whole lot but Daniel and Lando share road trips and private flights and Lando fits into Daniel's friend group really well. I guess maybe since Daniel's just widely loved in fandom in general there was less motive to try and tear down his relationship with Lando?
that's true, I also seem to recall starting to see this anti-landoscar BS starting around Japan/Oscar's contract extension. I suppose if I were trying to look at it through their angle then the Japan and Qatar double McLaren podiums coming right after Singapore - including Oscar's extension - would be seen as some kind of "insult" ? I guess Oscar went from being cute and non-threatening to suddenly cockblocking the Carlos back to McLaren pipe dream (that Carlos would literally only do as a fifth or sixth option and only if Ferrari gave him the boot lol). especially since Lando insisted on being crazy happy about the double podiums instead of I guess wistfully thinking of how much he wishes he could play second fiddle to Carlos getting the only non-RB win of the season instead of trying to idk help his team and himself in the standings.
then there was the crazy mood swing when Lando and Carlos went to dinner after Mexico and flew to Brazil together (with Rebecca) - to the rage when it turned out that Lando hanging out in Brazil for a day or two after the race wasn't car|ando bc Lando went to Cali almost immediately for sponsors meetings while Carlos and Rebecca both posted pics and video of their private holiday together that went right up until the day before the Vegas race. I definitely saw the uptick in car|ando agit prop after that whole shebang bc then Carlos wanted Rebecca at the "car|ando cup" and kept checking in on her. the hatred towards her truly took on a whole ugly and dark turn after that.
it is still so damn weird that Oscar/landoscar is the target that it is for them though. I have another ask where in some F1 group Christmas art the artist depicts Lando interacting with Carlos and not Oscar and ??? it's a drawing??? and I'm assuming they don't rate Lily's existence as security for car|ando since apparently any woman can be conveniently written off as a fake gf. but Oscar doesn't play gay with Lando and he didn't push for a bromance and generally keeps himself to himself unless Lando wants him around! he's a Lando fanboy but he's not even hardcore pushing content of him and Lando on his sm! the poor guy is literally just standing there catching strays bc of a mainstream bromance that has nothing to do with him
I'm sorry anon this went so wide of what you were saying but genuinely I used to spend so much of my time on car|ando accounts and it's slowly turning into a larry "they are looking to each other" edit type fandom ;__;
but fr why does Oscar get put in the "we hate the real life girlfriends" category ?????? I genuinely laugh bc it's so insane why isn't he like Max or Daniel why is he That Fake Bitch Standing In Our Ship's Way and they aren't is it bc he's prettier and serves natural cunt afglajfgalgfslafg

Meet the Mun.
ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘɪᴄᴋ ᴜᴘ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ᴍᴜꜱᴇ(ꜱ) ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ?
Yeesh, LOADED question xD Uhm... well I fell in love with Cloud way back in his polygon popeye arms phase when I was around 15 or 16. That moment when he trundled down the stairs on the Hardy Daytona. But like... there's elements of his character that kind of remind me of me that I don't want to go into here tbh. In short I was having a hard time at home when I first took to Cloud, I owe him a lot, and I just pray that I do him justice, you know?
ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ?
Not really? I'll have a go at anything. I don't usually know if something is going to bother me or if I'm not feeling it until I'm in the moment. But if that happens I'll let you know :)
ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ᴡʀɪᴛɪɴɢ?
Heh, probably angst tbh. I have this nasty habit of turning the most upbeat thread into a sea of misery if I don't keep myself in check. It's not like I enjoy watching my muse suffer... no... that's a lie OMG. But I love shippy things too, fluff, smut and all that stuff. But the one thing that's key to me is WORLD BUILDING. I love exploring a character's emotions, the things that surround them and how it affects them. Honestly, if I feel stifled in a thread I lose interest pretty fast.
ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?
Usually on the fly, as I'm writing replies. It's not something I do often for Cloud considering that his lore is already quite extensive so I don't often feel a need to elaborate on what we already know. It depends really.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ ɪɴ ꜱɪʟᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴏʀ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴍᴜꜱɪᴄ?
I prefer to have music playing and I like the music to fit the mood of the thing I'm writing. Helps me keep my flow and it blocks out everything around me. I can be easily distracted.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʀᴇᴘʟɪᴇꜱ ᴏʀ ᴡɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ?
A bit of both. Totally depends if the thread is plotted or not honestly.
ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ꜱʜɪᴘᴘɪɴɢ?
Oh man I LOVE IT. A bit too much to be fair. But I'm a bit shy and I don't want to come off as pushy if I feel like my muse could ship with someone elses so it's not often I'll bring it up like that. There's so many good characters here I would love to ship Cloud with but I'm a damn coward xD
ᴡʜᴀᴛ'ꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴀʟɪᴀꜱ/ɴᴀᴍᴇ?
Saphie or just Saph is fine. It's been my online alias for YEARS now.
ᴀɢᴇ?
HAHAHAHAHAHA I'm over the age of 30, so OLD
ʙɪʀᴛʜᴅᴀʏ?
25th of March. Team Sheep!
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ᴄᴏʟᴏʀ(ꜱ)?
I... don't think I really have one? I do art as a profession so I love all colour I guess.
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜱᴏɴɢ(ꜱ)?
Oof, I don't have one to be honest because my tastes change so sporadically. I just love music in general.
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ᴍᴏᴠɪᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜᴇᴅ?
Uhm... I want to say Advent Children because that was a movie I specifically put on to watch about a month ago. I'm sure there's been movies on the TV that my husband has been watching and I watched by proxy since then but I couldn't tell you what they are. I have a memory like a sieve...
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ꜱʜᴏᴡ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜᴇᴅ?
Everybody Loves Raymond as I was stuffing my face at breakfast this morning.
ʟᴀꜱᴛ ꜱᴏɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪꜱᴛᴇɴᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ?
I am currently listening to Who's Side Are You On by Tommee Profitt.
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜰᴏᴏᴅ?
CAKE, though if it has cheese on it I'm in!
ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ꜱᴇᴀꜱᴏɴ?
Anything apart from winter. I hate the cold and I can't look cool walking to work in the snow when I'm slipping around on my face...

Knowing your partner well can potentially make writing together a lot easier
Name: Destined
Pronouns: He / Him
Preference of communication: Discord or Tumblr IMs are equally fine by me !
Name of muse: ezreal
Experience/how long (months/years?): I've been roleplaying on and off for 10+ years !
Best experience: I have met so many amazing people on this blog , but honestly if I had to pick a best experience ? It would absolutely meeting Softie (@seekslight) I tell them quite often that they are the big reason why I even comitted to this blog ; I'm so glad I made that decision because it has allowed me to meet so many other amazing people here ( *gestures to all the lovlies tagged in my promo post* ) . This is honestly the best community I have been in roleplay wise and I hope to never leave !
RP pet peeves/dealbreakers: I have two really big ones . . . the first ? Communication . It is so frustrating when there just isn't a proper chain of communication between a writing partner and I , like I don't expect us to be the best of buds and hanging out every single day . . . however , at least put the effort in ! I lose muse for something INCREDIBLY fast when it just seems like you don't care , or I have to do the heavy lifting when it comes to story crafting . Just communicate ! Talk to me ! I swear I am super nice and understanding !
The other big peeve of mine is what I call "lore thumping" (play on bible thumping) ! I understand wanting to stay in the relative lines of canon-compliancy . . . otherwise we are basically just doing OCs ! However , the truth of it all is we are all canon-divergent . . . that's just the nature of RP . It's really discouraging and really unappealing if an idea is proposed and the response is " well in CANON . . . " . Just stop there , it's clear to me you aren't interested in the beauty of RP which is artistic expression and individuality .
Muse preference (fluff, angst or smut?): Fluff and Romance ! ezzie is a really big softie and like a puppy dog , so his favorite interactions are those that are cute and shippy !
Plots or memes: Plotting is the easiest and most effective way ! Memes are great too though don't get me wrong .
Long or short replies: I never expect my partners to match my length ! However I would at least say put effort ? Like if I write 5 or 6 paragraphs and you reply with 1 paragraph ? That doesn't scream to me like there is actual interest . We're telling a story ! You can't really tell an effective story in one paragraph or less !
Best time to write: Whenever I am not grinding at my job or deep in the clutches of sleep !
Are you like your muse: Me and ezreal are a lot a like in both the positive and negative lights ; he's a fun loving , hopeless romantic , puppy dog like me . . . but also like me , he suffers from a lot of self confidence issues . It's that relatibility that makes him my favorite muse of all time !
Tagged by: @gauntlets-shot Tagging: @seekslight , @shimmerbeasts , @sheavoid , @darkbound , @sparklymuses , and anyone else reading this !

Episode 1x04 thoughts
This episode wasn't one of my favorites, not horrible, a decent episode in itself but it felt as though it fell prey to a few of the issues similar ones in s11 of TWD did. I'll get in to those later but first we'll put the usual page break for those who don't want any spoilers.
First the aspects I did enjoy:
After taking a swim in walker-infested waters post his ceiling crash like a drunk Mary Poppins (you're welcome for the reference lol), Daryl strolls through Paris trying to get his bearings and comes to see an older couple inside a house, having tea (perhaps). The woman caresses the side of the man's face across the table which causes Daryl to pause, appearing to be lost in reflection before looking down briefly lost in a memory, only moving on once the nearness of walkers is apparent. Now who is the only person/woman who Daryl has ever stroked the face of/had his face stroked by?? I'll give you 3 guesses but anyone with a brain doesn't need that many and in case you've been living under a rock, please refer to my previous precious gifs post.
Tumblr media
Later we get to see Daryl-of-old while he's beating a prisoner he and Isabelle took in hopes of finding Laurent. Having him go back to his early TWD season story-telling ways was lovely while also mixing it with the depraved Dixon he learnt to be from his upbringing meshed very well. (Basically Daryl wanted to create his own R-rated version of "Babe"). He must have read some anatomy books over the years to know where to cause the most damage without hitting vital organs.
Fallou's group using Molotov cocktails during their assault on Quinn's place is something I've been waiting for someone to do in the ZA! Like, seriously! Who wouldn't be using mini firebombs at this point when supplies are low and it keeps you at a distance from your opponent? It's just good sense imo.
Norman and the show itself did a very good job again pointing out that there is nothing going on shippy-wise between Daryl and Isabelle. (I know many a worried about it but there was nothing there from my standpoint) Daryl looked honestly uncomfortable when Isabelle hugged him, returning it lightly after a beat or two but happy to break away to continue looking at anything else afterwards. We also got Isabelle's own words that she has no romantic feelings for Daryl but simply concern for his wellbeing. When you watch the scene, they have Sylvie asking (a young girl who only now has her first ever crush but knows nothing of love) who is not equipped enough in life to be able to discern anything different.
Daryl's expression looking at the mini Statue of Liberty made me smile as well. Knowing he's getting closer to getting home, no matter what other tasks people throw at him, and getting back to his person would make anyone happy.
Overall the episode sets up the plot for the remaining 2 installments, getting us where we need to be for certain other aspects to take place. (Gonna let that be for the moment until the next ones drop 😉)
What I didn't like:
The pacing seemed quite slow and the story arc pretty much went in a circle, finally reaching an end point which we realistically could have gotten in 10 mins of another ep. Several points of the episode felt contrived just to fill up space before they could move on to a main bullet point in the story. (This was my main issue with a fair number of s11 TWD eps).
Isabelle's lack of any fighting skill is really getting on my nerves. How has she survived this long? The answer is probably by making things up and having others protect her/do her dirty work and other not so nice things so I'll relent. I haven't seen worse stabby abilities since early on in TWD ... again, yes I am not gonna say anything if I can't say anything nice.
Why'd they do pigeon man like that?!😒
Genet is equally as concerned about finding a man who blew a hole in her years-long-prepped boat as she is a kid who gives people hope? Mmmkay.
Regardless of it all I am excited for next week. It's gonna be great. Trust me.

Alright time for Moriarty the Patriot Johnlock hours
I still have no idea what the YNM shipname for this is but I've been on this website long enough to know this is Watson/Sherlock Holmes in other media so fuck it.
long post/manga screencaps, spoilers under cut.
On the train we had that moment where after Watson's taken into custody he called for John, briefly forgetting that he wasn't there. And then his hilarious failed apology... but they make up.
And boy, they definitely have made up. Look at Sherlock trying here:
Tumblr media
He's asking John to start to employ his methods, analyzing the paper. And John does well with it!
And then John tries to tell Sherlock to wear a tie, and he's like "nah I can't be assed" (literally)... then SECOND GUESSES IT AND GOES ALONG WITH IT.
Tumblr media
Look at this manga panel.
Look at it.

He grabs the frickin' tie Watson is wearing and is like "I'll wear that now."
Like, there's clearly a not shippy reading of this too... Watson looks so concerned about what has gotten into Sherlock's brain... but also it could be that his brain is just short-circuiting because Sherlock Holmes is dragging him forward by the tie yahknow? I mean mine would xD
And Watson is fully on board with this turn of events very very quickly.
Tumblr media
God they are good together. William is right about that.
Sherlock is a disaster though. Look at him not remembering how to tie a tie. I love this shit. Watson tries to teach him what to do and it's still so bad.
Tumblr media
Eventually Watson probably has to tie it for him. And we get...
Tumblr media
Almost looks like a different, polished and put together Holmes brother. And also... like the Holmes from Watson's novel.
Who is also a disaster though, honestly.

hi, one of your Stargate anons here (it feels like you have a few of us xD). i knew about your @jackandhisspacemonkey blog! i follow that too, it's a very good blog ♥ i adore Jack and Daniel's relationship, they're great together (even if i'm more of a low-key shipper when it comes to them)
also, i have started on Universe! i've only just finished episode 6 (Light, it's very confusing with Air being one or three episodes), but i'm enjoying it a lot so far. i'm also very much enjoying Robert Carlyle, he really is amazing. (i had also forgotten just how pretty he is, oof.)
aaaand i had my first really shippy sgu moment in Light too, when Young said "well done!" and ruffled his hair and Rush looked all, well, like he did. i like their relationship in general, and i have a feeling i may ship them once i'm done xD
Young wasn't an automatic fave for me like Rush was (but that's entirely Carlyle's fault, Rush was shifty as hell and i just adored him anyway because Carlyle xD), but he's quickly getting there with his voice and his softness and his special cane. tbh, i'm actually curious to how my feelings about him will change once/if he gets rid of the cane, it feels like it affects a lot, that cane.
this quickly got very wordy, but yeah, just wanted to give you a little update and tell you that i'm still very glad you and your great gifs got me to watch Stargate, even if it means i'm reading McShep fics all night and having Emotions about Rodney x'D ♥
Ohh more than one gater nonnie👀
I am so happy my gifs made you to watch stargate, and maybe one day I will rewatch atlantis and even all of stargate and gif more of sg in general, maybe I will even look at atlantis from different side this time, like sgu.
ah, light, it's such a good episode, love every interaction of young and rush there, right until the very end of the episode
that moment, still can't believe it was real, like I still think I read it in a fanfiction not watched in an actual tv show lmao I need to gif it, and I will.
Tumblr media
as Robert Carlyle said himself they needed a man who makes dislikable things likable, so he is the man :D he is reaaally good
I think it is harder to like Young in the beginning, the hairstyle does not help either lmao, but you just get to know him and by the end of the show he is really good, I love that very tired man with curly hair, who is like a dad who needs a sleep but can't get it cos the kids are knocking on his door all the time
Tumblr media Tumblr media
just give this man a day off and some socks pls
anyway, hope you enjoy the rest of it as well, cos I really do enjoy it on my rewatch, I thought I will be hating it, cos I did not remember much, but the feelings I had while watching it back in 2013, but I like even the characters I disliked back then, like the kids, I mean everyone who are not Rush\Young\Wray\TJ :D
and I remember it was bad, but honestly, I love it now.
When you have a ship you're obsessed with, and suddenly everything becomes better lmao

Heads-up, this will include spoilers of a currently unreleased chapter, so major spoilers ahead!
If Kirishima isn't part of rescuing Bakugou I'm honestly going to be so angry. And before anyone says it, this isn't a shippy thing. It's a "Horikoshi went out of his way to tell the audience Kirishima and Bakugou became close really soon into their first year but has severely neglected their friendship narratively since Bakugou's development which makes no sense because Kirishima was a big part of helping his development" kinda thing.
I love that in their downtime, the time where they're not fighting or training, Bakugou and Kirishima are almost always standing or sitting next to each other, the chapters after saving Midoriya being no different. Basically every panel they were in in the chapters after saving Midoriya they were together. But fighting wise, they've not been near each other. Despite the fact their quirks are literally perfect for duo fighting.
But that's not my issue.
From what I've seen in the spoilers, they're live streaming Bakugou being literally tortured, to the heroes, to the children. To Kirishima. It makes absolutely no sense for Kirishima to not go out of his way to help save him.
I mean, just look at the whole Kamino situation. When Kirishima couldn't save Bakugou from being taken, he was so beaten up about it, was willing to put his entire hero career on the line just to save him. In fact, he was willing to put his life on the line, going untrained into a villain base. Kirishima was willing to risk it all just to save Bakugou. Midoriya and Iida only agreed to go after Kirishima fought his case, he would have gone with or without Midoriya.
So for him to not fight to the front lines to put his life on the line for Bakugou again? Would be absolute bullshit.
Especially when Horikoshi has seemingly just completely abandoned his character. Like everyone else in Class A have their things in this arc, except Kirishima. He was seen once saving Mina and then he vanished again. The way Horikoshi built up Kirishima's character, have him have multiple development arcs, built his friendship with Bakugou and others in Class A just to ignore him in the final battle? Nah. He has to do something.
I find it hard to believe the Kirishima Horikoshi has built up prior to this would just stand back and watch his best friend be tortured. He didn't stand for it once, I refuse to believe he'd stand for it this time.
The chapter prior to the start of this arc had Midoriya and Uraraka talking, while Bakugou, Kirishima, Iida and Todoroki together, if that isn't showing those 6 are supposed to be the ones with big parts to play, I don't know what does. When they're the only ones seen together in the final part before the end, you'd expect them all to play a part.
Todoroki is fighting Dabi, Uraraka with Toga. Bakugou and Midoriya with Shigaraki (well, Midoriya was). I can't remember what Iida is doing, but I know he's been seen with an important role. But Kirishima is just visibly absent for basically the entire arc so far.
It also doesn't make sense why Horikoshi would build up this relationship with Bakugou and Kirishima, only to not actually do anything with it when it matters most. When Bakugou needs saving the most, it makes absolutely no sense why Kirishima wouldn't be there, along with Midoriya, to save him.
Like, me saying Bakugou and Kirishima are best friends isn't me just making shit up, it's literally shown in canon. From their first year, Bakugou has trusted Kirishima and seen him as an equal. This is established by Midoriya multiple times, as well as clearly by Aizawa when putting them in dorms. I mean, there's a reason Kirishima is Bakugou's only neighbour.
Literally all official content outside of the main manga portrays this friendship. "The saviour and the one that was saved" is a literal tagline used for them after Kamino in the official novels. Anytime someone pictures the class (with an exception of All Might, I think) show Kirishima and Bakugou together.
And again, even in the main manga, basically any downtime they have, Bakugou is with Kirishima (and Sero and Kaminari).
So yeah, if Kirishima and Midoriya don't come in clutch together for Bakugou, I'm honestly going to be the most pissed off I've been reading BNHA. What's the point of building and reiterating the friendship between Kirishima and Bakugou if Kirishima is just going to be ignored in saving him?
I really don't want Midoriya to be the only one losing his mind over this situation, not when Kirishima and Bakugou have been friends since the early chapters and Midoriya and Bakugou are only just working on being friends.
And again, this isn't about me shipping Bakugou and Kirishima, that's entirely different. This is about me loving their friendship, and anytime anyone has needed saving, it's always been the people closest to them (Bakugou was saved by Kirishima, Midoriya, Iida and Todoroki. Midoriya has been saved by Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida, Kirishima and Bakugou. Kirishima has been saved by Bakugou (in a memory sense, Bakugou saved him in the battle before the saving Eri arc)) Let Kirishima save his best friend again, please.
Tldr; Kirishima risked everything for Bakugou once, let him do it again.

2, 7, 14, 23 and 27 from salty ask please
2.) Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?
KillerVibe, aka Cisco/Caitlin. I do get why it's a popular ship for those two, but I just can't. Their platonic love for each other is so lovely and I think I happened upon them right as I was feeling a bit burnt out on the 'men and women can't be just friends' trope. So these two being bffs and never a hint of anything else no matter how much they clearly loved each other?
Beautiful. Why would I want anything else for them?
Colette/Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia (which was just re-released on the latest consoles, if you haven't played it before and are looking for a new game to play... pick this game up, it's so good!!!!) - it's not enough to turn me off a fic for there to be Colette/Lloyd going on but I just... read them as having a sibling relationship. There's nothing really romantic about their interactions - honestly the only person who really says anything shippy about them is Genis. And Lloyd sounds like an exasperated older brother telling Genis to shut it when he does. Like... Colette is in many ways Lloyd's person - he does love her and he pays closer attention to her than the others do because he knows she's got a bad habit of not admitting when something is wrong. I just don't read what's there as romantic.
7.) Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?
Olicity. Oliver and Felicity had some really cute ship teasing going on in the early seasons. But when they actually acted on it... I can't really say they brought out the best in each other. Felicity struggled to trust Oliver but would paper over that with complaints about Oliver doing the same to her. But Oliver's issues were, at least, born out of ptsd and a lack of mental health self care. With Felicity's character, it just seemed like the writers were Flanderizing her to some degree and her character suffered a lot. Most irritatingly, Oliver grew further away from his comic book self instead of closer as was initially promised. I think their lowest point was hijacking the Westallen wedding, where Felicity made someone else's big day about her and Oliver just... went with it. But she also made a scene at the rehearsal when she'd thought Oliver was re-proposing to her and he wasn't. It was very uncomfortable to watch.
They were a lot better at dealing with other people without each other, but... *waves hands in a resigned fashion* together they were just kind of obnoxious in the end.
14.) Unpopular opinion about your fandom?
I guess that depends on the part of the fandom.
Eobard Thawne was massively mishandled post S2. He should have remained a posthumus character. All his interactions with Barry's future should have been in Eobard's past. Either with Barry traveling to the past to interact with EoWells or Mattobard showing up from points in his timeline that predated killing Nora Allen. S2 set that up really nicely, but unfortunately there was no follow through and they went in a different direction.
We'll never know for certain that Iris chose Barry because she was truly in love with him and not because everyone was saying it was her destiny. Even their E2 counterparts were married. If everyone tells you that something you aren't sure you want is the best thing for you ever and you'd be foolish to not do that thing then... if you do what you've been told by everyone in your life, is it actually because you want to? Or because you think you're supposed to? The show did, finally, sort of kind of not really acknowledge this. But... S9 when they've been married since S4 was... not the time to do that.
In S3 Future Barry should have been the one with the facial scars and Savitar with the ridiculous Emo!hair.
I... actually really enjoy Zoom coming off S1 with all the parallels that Team Flash is so oblivious too. It's only because of Savitar (and not to forget the Rival and Trajectory) that I feel like the show got overloaded with too many evil speedsters in the first three seasons. There were five - that was about three too many. (That said, Zoom probably should have been the S3 villain with S2 centered on the Rogues. Give the team some breathing room after dealing with Eobard.)
23.) Unpopular character you love?
Eobard Thawne. I will complain about him being overused and misused all day if prompted, but there's a reason why I gravitate to him as a lot as the main villain in my own writing. S1 Eobard on the Flash in particular is just such a fascinating and compelling villain. And Matt's take on him over in S2 of Legends is really great. His exasperation with his co-villains makes them all such fun.
Julian Albert. He was very unlucky in love, falling for Caitlin who clearly just... was not interested in return. And very unfortunate to have whatever was going on with Savitar and 'Alchemy'. But he gave Barry a much needed coworker at the CCPD. (Barry cannot be the only CSI in the entire CCPD. He just. Cannot. But it certainly seems that way sometimes, doesn't it?) If they'd followed through with making the not-Caitlin-not-Frost character in S4 the way S3 seemed to clearly intend, then perhaps Julian might have become the new team medic? Alas, we just get a single brief mention of him in S4 and not even a proper send off for him.
27.) Least shippable character?
Hmmm... Bart since I just haven't seen enough episodes with him to get a good read for his personality at all. And since most of the characters I have seen him interact with are either his parents, his grandparents, his honorary grandfather (Jay Garrick), or members of Team Flash who are presumably honorary aunts and uncles... who would I even ship him with? Certainly not Godspeed.
Sherlock and Joan from Elementary both read as different identities under the arospec umbrella that while I ship them as a QPR together, shipping either of them romantically with anyone - including each other - just feels like it'd make them out of character. They say they love each other in canon without it being automatically romantic. (big deal to me!!!!) So they're equally least shippable to me on that show. And it bewilders me that people do ship them romantically. (Did we not watch the same show? Did people not see how aro they are and how their friendship defies amatonormativity? *heavy sigh*)

omori and Sunnys relationship honestly drives me insane. not in like a shippy way but. my god.
Sunny wants nothing more than to be able to go back to before Mari's death. He wants to go back to eating watermelons on the beach and hanging out in the tree house and taking pictures with Basil. But he can't do that. He will never be able to do that because you can't bring back the dead. You can't reverse time. Yet Sunny refuses to accept that Mari died. He refuses to accept what he did.
So he retreated into HEADSPACE as a means of escapism. He retreats into HEADSPACE as a means of avoiding what happened to Mari. In HEADSPACE, he can do whatever he wants. He can eat watermelons with his friends again, hang out in the tree house again, and take pictures with Basil again. But the version of "you" inside your head is not the same "you" as irl. So he (possibly subconsciously) created Omori to fulfill his desires since he can't do it himself.
Omori is the idealized version of Sunny. Not in the way that Omori is who Sunny wants to be, but he's where Sunny wants to be. Omori is the version of Sunny who can be with his friends. Omori is the version of Sunny that never killed Mari. Omori is the version of Sunny who is happy. Omori is Sunnys protector against his guilt. Omori is Sunnys friend, one that is always there whenever he needs him to be. It doesn't matter that Mari is dead bc Mari never died with Omori around.
But over time, Omori turns into the personfication of Sunnys depression. The more Sunny uncovers The Truth, the more antagonistic Omori becomes. For God's sake, Omori is the final boss of the game. During the fight, Omori is constantly insulting Sunny and tearing him down. He calls him selfish, a liar, says that his friends will never forgive him, directly blames Sunny for Mari's death, etc. Omori is no longer Sunny's friend and protector, but an enemy.
It's only through the love of his friends that Sunny is able to overcome Omori. During the fight you have a new skill called "Cherish". Upon selection, Sunny remembers one of his friends and recovers full health and juice. It's the only thing getting you through the fight, really. Sunny loves his friends, and as much as Omori tells him otherwise, he knows they love him too. Because of that, he picks up the violin again and plays. Omori accepts defeat, hugs Sunny, and disappears.
I feel like the hug is a final goodbye from Omori to Sunny. Sunny no longer needs Omori, after all. He's ready to leave the HEADSPACE as a whole, as he no longer needs it. Thanks to his friends, he's ready to accept Mari's death and whatever happens next.
idk if this makes sense but them <33333333

That was a very professional response. I *know* BSD isn't a shippy anime, *but* my brain needs serotonin and it'll take it wherever it can. Even if that is in the wildly overblown subtext of canon. Guess, I'll just have to read it and come back to you on how much I find *rubs hands*. Now I am interested though, how did you start shipping skk if you didn't see it initially? Also feel free to ignore me if I am bothering you. That's not my intention.
Rotfllll it was professional wasn't it. All right - I personally didn't think the stage play was really shippy - some yeah, but nothing at all like chuuya's in dazai's lap, squeeeee!Dead Apple. I think at that point they're teenage boys and probably the last thing they wanna do is be obvious about their feelings. But I know there's more written in the book, and unfortunately, I can't say yet. My main focus was literally on 'what is the truth behind Arahabaki and Chuuya' rather than soukoku. Would love to hear your take on the book though!
As for me, I literally did not see SHIP when I saw Dazai and Chuuya interact for the first time. I took it as 'what you see is what you get'. Literally, old partners, one betrayed, the other angry about the betrayal of the organization. Did not know why other people could not see the obvious. This is actually how I watch anime, honestly. 'As it says on the tin' - I do not read further into it. I enjoy it as it is presented.
So when I wanted to read fics, I kinda started out with Dazai/Atsushi, as they were the main characters, and which was nice. I mean, that's what it was, it was just nice, it wasn't super all encompassing love at first read. And then for kicks I saw a Dazai/Chuuya fic that looked mildly interesting so I gave it a read and liked it and then probably found another and then never looked back, Dazai/Atsushi sitting in the dust in the rearview mirror wondering what the heck just happened. Like, I did NOT go back and to this day, I will only read Dazai/Atsushi if I'm super craving for a trope and cannot find one to my liking in Dazai/Chuuya. It was a complete and total 180. To this day, I could not tell you what that first soukoku fic was. It certainly wasn't any sort of a long fic. I do like looking for soukoku ship in everything now though XD
And don't worry, you're not bothering me at all! Please feel free to keep sending asks if you have any ^^

Trope Game
Tagged by my good man, @voxofthevoid. Who, in my egregious opinion, is the king for tropes I likely will never write for. I shall tag, if they humble accept, the following individuals: @somuchanemoia, @feu-eau, @bowties-are-cool3000, @fandomgirl394, @astralalmighty, @rebrandedbard, @flowercrown-bard, and any others!
Rules: How much do these tropes affect your decision to click on a fic?
-10 -> very dissuaded
0 -> don’t care either way
10 ->  very enticed
nope -> if it’s a hard no and you’d never click on a fic with that tag or or you even have the tag blocked or you’d insta click out of the fic if it wasn’t tagged.
Bonus points for explaining the rating and whether it’s conditional.
Spoiler alert: I'm neutral with a lot of the tropes presented in this game because I strongly believe that the strength of the writer is often more important than the tropes they're using to tell the story. If I can feel the writer's confidence and I vibe with what they're giving to me in the summary, hell yeah I'll click and read on it. Tropes are nice to haves; they are not the be-all and end-all of a story and they don't compensate for what I identify as weak writing.
Age gap   0/10
If it's there, it's there. That's all there is to it. It's not a selling point nor is it anything I actively look for. I think it's a funny coincidence that some of my favorite pairings have had vocal hatred from certain pockets of the internet because "age gaps" -- the phrase -- is thrown so vehemently that the words themselves sound like a dog whistle for a specific type of person who is not only immature, but who seemingly doesn't understand that the internet and is what you make of it through what you show yourself. And if something honestly bothers you and it doesn't hurt anybody IRL, you can just fuck off and enjoy the things you like instead of pulling shit out for something other people enjoy and think that an "age gap" is some sort of valid argument.
Codependency   0/10
Depends on the strength of the writer. Like with age gaps, if it's there it's there. I don't actively seek it out and nor is it a selling point for me.
Enemies to lovers   0/10
If it's there, it's there. This would also depend on the strength of the writer, too and what type of introspection is going into the work. Because I'm more interested in the realization and what the characters are going to do about it. And if I can vibe with what the writer is doing, cool. But again, it's not a selling point for me and I don't actively seek this one out.
Enemies with benefits   0/10
I'm starting to get the trend that I'm a really nonchalant reader who sticks around if I vibe with the writer's direction and strengths. I would have to see the accompanying tags to determine if this is something I want to read, and well -- the summary, too. But the tag, on its own, doesn't sway me either way.
Fake dating/relationship   0/10
Depends on the strength of the writer. I don't often read these kind of stories, mostly because the summaries I've seen for these kind of stories doesn't draw me in. Not the tag, itself. So if I see a strong writer doing something in this space, I'll check it out.
Found family   -5/10
It doesn't interest me. I'll still check it out if I look at the summary and am intrigued with the writer's direction/writing style/writing strength. But other than that, I have no real interest for this trope. I prefer it being in the background than as the main focus of the work. I think if personally, I identified with found family in my own life, my answer would be vastly different. But in this current reality, I don't. I can appreciate and respect that it provides a welcoming space for areas in the queer community who often can't be heard in the crowd. And that it gives a space for those writers to come in with their own flavor and build into the fandom jungle.
Friends to lovers   7/10
More often than not, when I'm writing a shippy fic or am itching to read one, this is on my mind. I don't actively seek out this tag because this concept can show up in pretty much any kind of story in some way that just clicks as to why the characters involved have such good chemistry with each other. I have a soft spot for this one, explicitly defined or not.
Friends with benefits   0/10
If it's there, it's there. I'm not actively seeking it out and nor is it a selling point. But if I think the story has a stronger writer who knows what they're doing, I'll give it a chance.
Hurt/comfort   8/10
You must be mistaken. I don't seek it out. Rather, it seeks for me. I'm particularly picky about how this trope is handled, so your summary and opening have got to be strong in my mind or I'll be backspacing sooner than later to preserve time for a story I'll like.
Love triangle   nope/10
Hell no.
Mistaken/hidden identity   9/10
Oof. It's not a tag I seek out, but when I see these pop up on AO3 and there is a strong writer handling the reins, how could I pass it up? The shit slaps, peep.
Monster fu… relationship   9/10
Yes, I'm a monsterfucker. Next question. But if you sprinkle cannibalism on top of that, I'll shove my schedule into the dirt to make time to read this thoroughly.
Obsession, possessiveness, etc   -3/10
This is the interesting case of it's fun to write, but not so fun to read. Because it heavily depends on the writer. And frankly, I've read things I don't vibe with that I've resorted to writing my own stuff because I know what my taste is.
Opposites (like grumpy×sunshine, etc)    0/10
Depends on the characters, honestly. If I don't care for the characters, I ain't here for it.
Poly   3/10
I like ships. I like ships with Character A with Character B, and C, and D, etc... And if they can all be in a big loving thing, that's great. It grabs my attention because it's not that hard to find on AO3 when you see all the relationship tags. It greatly depends on the writer if it'll be enjoyable to read.
pregnancy   0/10
If it's there, it's there. I'll backspace when I stop vibing with things.
Second chance   0/10
Depends very heavily on the writer and what the plot is. Because it can get nasty (backspace nasty) real quick.
Sex to feelings   10/10
Gets my seal of approval. There's introspection, vulnerability, the emotional intimacy, and it's just - it's such a nice package. Doesn't matter if it's angst-ridden or so fluffy it makes you have cavities. Oh, such a delight.
Slowburn   -7/10
Bruh, unless the plot is really that good and the writer is baller, I ain't got time to just sit there and wait 50,000 words before something happens. Nah, I've got limited energy as is. I'll just skip on along to established relationship or something to get my fix going.
Soulmates   fuck no/10
You have to be a very strong writer with a very strong plot to get me to sit down and actually read this kind of thing. And I can only name one writer who's broken through this strong wall I have against this trope.

I watched Exaltation. First off, I'm not going to lie, Andre the ice cream guy? Not a big fan of him. I just find how butt hurt he gets annoying just because not everybody listens to his ice cream. As if everybody has the ability to listen to his ice cream. I'm sorry, it just drives me up the wall.
Anyway, it was cute. It went by so fast- specifically the kiss scene.
Honestly, Marinette blowing up at Alya over Cat Noir was a lot to take in. Though I thought it was so sweet how Alya and Tikki talked and then she was like let's just go up there and tell Marinetta that we love her, because yeah it could turn out bad- but like what's the worst that could happen? (the world being destroyed, but okay, lol)
Overall, it feels like a lot of the other super shippy kiss scenes or episodes where there's been progress, but not a lot of progress...but it is a lot of progress. It's neat ig, they say they don't love that person still (but they do), but now it's like they have to learn how to love healthily which can be a struggle because crushes can make you feel crazy and obsessive and keeping who you are and keeping that relationship with them level is hard to do. They'll figure it out, I have faith in them. They've gotten this far.
I just don't know how they're going to go about having Adrien and Marinette get together and then Ladynoir... Like, I don't know obviously they'd be in a relationship, so they wouldn't really... they can't cheat on each other. So eventually they'll have to reveal who they are if they want to have like a double-sided relationship, but I can see it being Adrienette relationship and Ladynoir not knowing that they're dating behind their masks which is pretty cute.
I'm okay with anything honestly, as long as they're happy. I just want them to be happy. But anyway, the kiss was so cute and so soft and I thought it was just the sweetest thing but Marinette blowing up on Alya- oh my gosh.. & that whole first part when Adrien showing up at the Bakery and being ignored hurt my heart 💔 and I just don't want anymore of that cringe-worthy stuttering. The last thing I want is for them both to turn into a bumbling mess on the floor that was Adrienette for the first four seasons... but I doubt it can be avoided. Unless they avoid each other and I just don't need that, lol
Also not going to lie I used to watch anime subbed online all the time and it was not nearly as hard as it was to watch Miraculous. I don't know how many times I had to try and start that video, but it was ridiculous. And the ads that popped up during the video were awful and whenever I wanted to go back to reread the subtitles it would open another ad so then I would miss part of it... It was a struggle, lol

Ugh...
I just watched a reaction video to the new Helluva Boss episode and the person reacting was being like "No, I mustn't ship Loona and Octavia! I can't, I have to not... Someone in the comments, please tell me no, tell me I have to stop."
Omg, you can ship it if you want to! And if you don't then don't! It's not a big deal! You don't need someone to tell you what to like! Gosh, it annoys me more and more how people are just afraid to ship things now. What, is it because their dads are in a relationship? Is it because Octavia is 17 and Loona is 22? Oh wow, so problematic...
Listen, just own up to what you find cute or romantic. Yes, that scene where Octavia lights Loona's cigarette is shippy and, I would argue, kinda romantic. It's okay to think that! It's okay to imagine them as a couple! It's okay to theorize about it! It's okay to change your mind too! It's okay to decide you like them more as friends, or sisters, or, I don't know, fwb, fuck it! It's also okay to not do any of that! It's all okay, because you know what? They are not real! Liking them as a couple is like liking peanut butter in your sandwich! A freaking opinion that doesn't concern anyone but you!
So it makes me really mad to watch a video reaction, the sole purpose of which is to show what a person thinks of a certain piece of media, only for that person to not want to react honestly because they think they are not allowed to like what they like about the video!
Gosh, I feel so angry right now. Don't get me wrong, I love that person's videos! They're funny and interesting, and it makes me even angrier that they get all panicky because of a dang ship! They could have just said "Aw, they're cute, I kinda ship it." and then moved on! Or even talked about what they like about the scene, the characters, the relationship. But no, they had to make a show of not wanting to ship it for some reason. And let's not kid ourselves, we know the reason.
Phew, I needed to get that out. Sorry about the rant. I might be overreacting or projecting or something, but what's tumblr for if not to scream into the void XD

Hihi I've seen a shipping tag post going around and I just wanted to say that I tend not to tag things with hermitshipping/trafficshipping/etc. Not out of anything malicious, I just honestly am a lil forgetful or am otherwise too lazy to (and plus sometimes I can't tell if something is shippy or not). The only things I really tag on my blog at all are specific fandoms so that people can filter out fandoms they aren't interested in haha. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there to let people know! No hard feelings if you wanna unfollow/block/etc :) /gen
