32, 39 + 48
32. Which two characters from different games do you believe would get along the most?
Sonia and Kirumi!! I know I've posted before on here about how Sonia/Kirumi are one of my most beloved cross-game rarepairs, but I really do think they have so much in common. They have a lot of interesting perspectives to share with each other, vis a vis the way they conceive of acts of service and their dedication to that cause, but they also both share the same ultimate goal of guiding their societies to happiness. I think they could really understand each other in a way that no one else, even within their own games, could.
39. Which character do you feel deserves more love?
AKANE OWARI. She is SO underrated. With other underappreciated characters, while I wish they had more content, there's usually at least some reason I Get It - like, of course Mukuro doesn't get much attention, she never appears as herself; of course Jack doesn't get much attention, she's treated as a Toko add-on even in a game where she stars. But Akane is there from the beginning to the end! She's one of the survivors! She has an entire character arc! She has strengths and weaknesses and interesting interactions with multiple characters who are beloved by fans!! But because she's dark-skinned and not traditionally intellectual she doesn't get love. It makes me really mad. We need a year of Akane.
48. Do you have any rare pairs?
More than I could possibly list in a single ask, and in fact I am pretty invested in every single possible F/F ship in DR regardless of realism. But some personal favorites:
Sonia/Kirumi (as listed previously)
Komaru/Tsumugi
Twogami/Mikan
Kaede/Himiko
Rantaro/Yasuhiro
Byakuya/Yasuhiro (this does not change that I hate Byakuya. part of the reason I like it is knowing that Hiro would be a constant annoyance to him)

Spoilers for the Hazbin Hotel Finale
My thoughts on how Sir Pentious' second death was handled: by a die-hard Sir Pentious fan who got emotionally steamrolled during the finale (I went way too far on this, it is *very* long-winded)
Starting off by saying that his fate was perfectly fitting. I think they treated him right in regards to his final moments in hell, and in his eventual rise to heaven. The writers have a great understanding of his character, and gave him a hero's death. They had the right idea toning down his usually goofy and exceedingly lame personality to show the more honest and brave parts in him. He had about thirty seconds of being the only character that mattered, and honestly, the buildup was so hyped.
At this point I'd already figured that Pentious was probably going to be the one to die after Vivsie's haunting comment about one of them dying. I mean, it makes sense. To put it simply, he's in the story because we like him. Of course, he's a delight to watch and he brings a wonderful addition to the group, but the most plot-relevant thing he's ever done was try to infiltrate the hotel and failing spectacularly. It made sense, and I made my peace that this was probably Pent's last stand.
But we got a "killed for shock value" death. We got a "I don't have enough time in an episode to care about this" death. We got a "wait, what just happened?" death. No mourning, no time to process for more than a brief moment before moving on with the fight. "Oh no :( anyways." I kept waiting for someone to give a shit. But we got a portrait for a few seconds and that was that. This is like, the king of mixed feelings for me, because I *know* we're focusing on rebuilding, and I *do* care about Charlie's guilt, Nifty being a girlboss, Alastor's panic over almost being KILLED. But in the back of my mind, the entire episode, I was waiting for a moment to mourn. The onslaught of other things happening didn't let us as an audience grapple with the reality of that. So the "oops he's in heaven everything's fine" ending didn't even feel like a relief. It felt like they were shoving the emotions of him dying under the rug.
I'm not saying they should have given him even five minutes of mourning. I'm not saying they should have given him any. Because it's a whole other thing to try to make you cry only to show you everything's okay. But we should have seen him fight. Maybe shown all his weapons being thrown at Adam only for them to be useless. Please, if he's going to be brave, let him fight. For a *moment*. The buildup had no release. Nothing but disregarding him instantly. I'm not mad about where Pent ended up--I think it's actually really respectful of his character. I'm mad about *how* they killed him. It's as if the fact of where he ended up makes it okay to ignore his death until the reveal of heaven. Anyway, that ended up a lot longer than I meant, and it's mostly just a vent. Thanks, if you ended up reading this far in.
