it's snowing.

the flakes are tiny, a cobweb's gleam in the moonlight, each slowly drifting through the air.

it'll pass soon; the sun's rise will chase away the thin layer of lingering clouds, barely visible in the still-distant dawn.

"suguru," you say.

his teeth flash white in the dark, a lightning strike gleam. he says your name cheerfully, but you can hear the bone in it, the chime of teeth closing shut around you.

you draw your thin yukata tight around yourself, as if it can dull his bite. there's cold air leaking in through the open shoji; you shiver.

"why are you here?"

suguru draws closer. he stops where the light starts to spill out the door, pooling golden on the packed down dirt of the courtyard. "maybe i just wanted to see you," he says, almost soft enough to be genuine.

you raise a brow. "that doesn't work on me anymore."

he laughs, dark eyes glittering. "you sure?"

"yeah."

he hums. nudges at the barrier of your cursed technique. you'd erected it as soon as you felt him approaching. it snaps at him, a little nip of fangs. his cursed energy bites back. you feel it in your bones, shivering through you, the power of it seeping beneath your skin.

"ow," you say flatly.

he smiles. "i can kiss it better."

"so can satoru," you say dryly. "he'll be here in a while."

"that's fine," suguru says, nudging at your barrier again. this time, your technique bites. sinks its teeth in. blood beads up on suguru's hand; he licks at it, a flash of pink tongue cutting through crimson.

it stirs something in you, but you don't dare look away.

"that's fine," suguru says again. "because you won't be."

and your barrier shatters.

I saw your XD headcannons and them getting flustered as a ler is so cute! I'd never thought about the ler getting flustered by the lee! And since they have four arms two of them could be tickling whilst the other two are happy stimming over how cute the Lee is!!

yep yep yep yep i love imagining XD getting so overwhelmed by a lees reactions that he has to dispel some of the energy via happy stims

i love the hand shakes being one,, and also hc him to just grab the lees face and ruffle it. like it’s almost cuteness aggression 😅

i also like imagining that the ler fluster gives him chills up his spine, and makes his fingers twitch and writhe amongst their tickling. sometimes he had to take his hands away and just stim it out to ensure he doesn’t hurt the lee
