hey there's gotta be melanistic and leucistic banthas right? like the white-furred bantha is some kind of arctic subspecies apparently but it could be a fun colour expansion on the brown ones in canon

I know this is a dinosaur themed blog, but what do you get up to when you're not thinking about dinosaurs? Any hobbies? Favorite books or games?
Thank you for asking!
so a truly alarming part of my life is dinosaur themed. it's not just my job - I have pet birds (which is a Whole Thing, the Pet Bird community is huge), tons of dinosaur toys and games, and I just have a Special Interest ya know
but! I do have many other interests
I'm extremely interested in Judaism, and my Jewish life is the second biggest part of my life after dinosaurs/prehistory/birds. I practice rooooughly trad-egal (masorti), and I do lots of Torah study every Shabbat with my spouse. I am, however, bad at not using the internet on Shabbat, which is something I wish I could commit to.
I am a lifelong anarchocommunist (parents were socialist-democrats and most kids go more left than their parents, not much more left I could go) and politics and social justice have always been important to me. From a very young age I took on equality and justice as things I believed in and I never stopped fighting for them. and this is more than just me being multi-queer and multi-disabled. So a lot of my life is fighting for "tikkun olam"
I love music, I'm a very musical person. Specifically I enjoy punk and alternative, though Jewish music is awesome and there's a lot of obscure rap hip hop and electronica I enjoy. Google told me my music taste is "deep cuts" and I am proud of that, honestly. I can play lots of instruments and I was in choir for most of my childhood! I'm a decent singer, I'm just shy about it. The spouse and I enjoy playing Rock Band as well!
I used to be a much more voracious reader than I am, mainly because being in academia is a one way ticket to not reading for pleasure anymore. That said, my favorite book is probably still "Ishmael / My Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. I also enjoy the works of Suzanne Collins (hunger games, gregor the overlander), the Green Brothers (sue me, Looking for Alaska was very important for Teen!Meig), and Shakespeare (yeah, I read Shakespeare for fun. What can you do.)
I loooooooooooove computer games. Love. Ever since I was little. I played tons of point and click games, especially educational ones, as a kid. I love tycoon games, most of all zoo tycoon, and jurassic park operation genesis was one of my favorite games as a kid. I play a ton of them now and my Steam account is overloaded. I often use mods and stuff for accessibility, but I enjoy many different games
I also love playing board games! My spouse Max and I have an extensive collection of board games including all of Wingspan, Holotype, and this cool game we found about the Permian period called Pangaea. We have many others, too, of course! We've just been playing Wingspan and Holotype a lot lately
I enjoy crochet, but I only learned it last summer. I also enjoy origami, though I haven't touched it in a while. I like swimming and hiking when I'm able to, disability kind of gets in the way sometimes. I also enjoy riding my bike, though see the former again. I am quite good at baking, but lately I haven't been doing it as much :/
I love my friends. I am extremely loyal to them and center them in my life. My spouse is included in this, but also my best friend from childhood Taryn, my best friend from college Carmen, and all of my wonderful dinosaur-community friends who are too many to list.
so yeah! I'd say the biggest things are Judaism, Music, and Computer Games, but I have tons of interests and lots of fantastic friends and loved ones, so my life does have a lot going on outside of dinosaurs and birds ^_^

That's zoo tycoon (2 i believe) if you wanna try it out. I played it so much as a kid you can mess up the zoos real bad
Oh, that’s cool! I find the whole “amusement park simulator ” genre pretty neat but outside of like… this Jurassic Park game for the GBA I played as a kid and this kinda weird Wii game in which you played a zoo vet and ended with you capturing an actual Bigfoot, I’ve never really played a lot of it.

my thoughts on main riders as gamers, heisei to present
godai: not really a gamer but will play a mario party or something if people have it. pretty good at various arcade games, pinball, pachinko, etc
shouichi: good at rhythm games. likes farming sims although he says it's not as satisfying as gardening irl. he likes to decorate his house and farm. probably has maxed out hearts with all the non-romanceable housewife npcs
shinji: loves gaming, is very bad at it. he doesn't own a console so he never has time to practice
takumi: I wanted to say I didn't think takkun would be a gamer but then I remembered he has depression. probably goes into a haze where he sinks hours of his life into an rpg and doesn't come up for air
kenzaki: absolutely a gamer but kind of a normal guy type gamer. if there's no guns or cars he's not interested. I think he's the type to main a fighting game character he's not very good at just bc he loves the character so much
hibiki: no interest, no skill. unless it's taiko no tatsujin
tendou: not really interested, only plays games with juka and hiyori. you will be astounded if you see him and hiyori playing ddr together bc I know she is a mid 2000s scene kid who lives for the ddr machine in her heart
ryoutarou: I dont think ryoutarou owns a console or has any friends so he's stuck with either arcade or phone games. I can see him idly playing candy crush and getting really far
wataru: gamer alert. lots of rhythm games, stuff like the sims and zoo tycoon, and picks rpgs based on character designs. he plays a lot of dating sims but he thinks they'll teach him how to interact with people and doesn't realize no one in a dating sim has ever been normal
tsukasa: I feel like he's naturally good at every game he's ever played but if he plays with the rest of the squad they team up against him and he loses for once
shoutarou: not really a gamer. he probably makes excuses about how he would prefer to be reading a book, on paper, bc he was born in the wrong century, but he mostly just doesn't have the hand-eye coordination for it
philip: loves games but often misunderstands them in weird ways. like when you hear about a guy who beat a game but he never realized you could equip different weapons so he just played with the starter weapon for the entire game. that's philip. if he played one of the recent fes he would map out the most advantageous marriages though
eiji: probably just an idle phone game guy, i don't see him as a gamer. offers intentionally stupid advice to ankh when ankh is gaming just to make him mad
gentarou: obviously a gamer. does try to befriend enemies that can't be befriended and has to be talked out of it. safer to play games that are less combat oriented with him. I also think he doesn't really play game on his own but likes to play party games or sit and watch kengo or tomoko game
haruto: probably not a gamer. I think he's really good at carnival and arcade games though. like if a game is supposed to be unwinnable by design this guy can walk in and win in one try and he just says "it's magic"
kouta: he'll play smash or mario kart but he's not really a gamer. I don't know if he'd be good at ddr or not bc it's not really like dancing
shinnosuke: I think he's the type to have one game or one series he's really interested in so when people try to get him into something else he's like "no thanks I already play a video game"
takeru: I think he is a gamer but decidedly casual. he loved undertale
haruka and jin: not gamers
emu: emu's gaming habits are explored in canon
sento: definitely a gamer, probably loves older rpgs and metroidvanias. the type of guy to try to exploit cheats and make up rules for himself to make the game more challenging, eg nuzlockes
sougo: plays games but always makes the worst and most evil decisions bc "it's faster" and it's like sougo. the game all but told you flat out that this was the morally wrong thing to do and here you are
aruto: certainly a gamer but fairly casual. probably deeply into one rpg series and can just spout off trivia about it
touma: i dont know that guy
ikki: plays fifa
ace: ace's gaming habits are also canonical

Went to the zoo and took bf to the dinosaur exhibit they have which was fun. Unfortunately the rest of the zoo was kind of meh. It's that time of year so a number of the animals were getting busy which while people's reactions were funny it wasn't something we wanted to watch. Also we couldn't do any of the indoor exhibits bc of all the people. Bf was pushing me in my chair and as he put it when I pushed myself people aknowledged me and let me see. When he pushed me they treated me like a shopping cart and would either step in front of me themselves or put their kids in front of me. Which meant a lot of the stuff was inaccessible to me and my boyfriend was getting really irrated by it and getting urges to punch people for how they treated me. Then people parked all along the bus stop illegally so the bus wouldn't be able to reach my wheelchair meaning we had to go 10 min to the next one. So now he has to practice calming down. He doesn't get how I'm not angry by it but like I'm used to it so I think it just drains me now.
On a good note I got a stuffed tiger made out of 16 waterbottles and a dinosaur coin. I've wanted a tiger plushie like the one from aladdin since I was little so im really happy. I'm probably going to spend the afternoon playing zoo tycoon and cuddling with my cats

Strangely, I managed to get the old Zoo Tycoon Ultimate collection working on my modern pc without any adjustments, which a lot of old games needed! Ironically, it never worked easily on the pc we had when I was a kid, probably because nobody in the house had any computer literacy. As a kid I adored building play areas all over the park, and watching the guests go about.

Do you like video games? Have any favorite ones you would recommend? I love old games a lot for Nintendo and PlayStation personally.
I do! Sadly i only used to play them as a kid because these days i can't afford to buy them and some of my favorites aren't supportable on newer Windows. Like Zoo tycoon 2 it was my favorite game probably of all time. Also Rollercoaster tycoon. Amnesia games, Penumbra too are my favorites.
I never had Nintendo or PlayStation, mainly because here in Lithuania it was something that only rich families could afford and sadly my family wasn't like that. So instead i was playing a lot of board games before my dad got the first computer and then we had some pirated games that i can't even remember anymore.

Everything about them being in Australia was so precious 😭 And now they get to perform there!!! I'm so excited for them, that they get to perform in Australia!
Ooo interesting! For me podcasts and audio books kinda fall in the same category. What are your favorite podcasts? Oh nice! I haven't played much recently, but I was always a fan of the Sims! Which one is your favorite in the series to play! That's cool that you like playing and watching Overwatch! It seems like an interesting game! For me, I tend to play a lot of Nintendo stuff: Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, along with some lesser known titles. It's an old one, but Zoo Tycoon 2 will always have a special place in my heart, one of my all time favorite PC games!
I'm not Irish, I'm not sure how she found it but my mom signed me up for lessons when I was a kid and I ended up really liking it! Most people I know who do it aren't Irish or that's not why they're doing it, but it's a really fun form of dance and I enjoy it a lot! I'm not very good at drawing, but it's a fun thing to do on the side. When my perfectionism doesn't get in the way of me finishing stuff. XD
I get that! I like to talk when I have energy so I can respond well. And especially sending anon asks, it's a lot easier to do it on my laptop rather than mobile. - 🧸
omg yea !!! seeing their skz talker go when they were in australia for unlock (i think??) i loved it and i'm so happy then can go back !!!
i guess they can! it's just with audiobooks i have to concentrate on visualizing things and i can barely multitask while listening haha but as for podcasts there is this dungeons & dragons actual play podcast called "not another dnd podcast" and i loveeee it, i listned to like 5000 minutes of it this year according to my spotify wrapped. but i also like true crime podcasts like "small town murder" and "last podcast on the left"!!
YES OMG I FORGOT ABOUT ZELDA !!! zelda is my favorite game franchise ocarina of time is an actual masterpiece i plan on getting a tattoo for it !!! and i played animal crossing a lot but i skipped a few days and never really went back to it 😭 also i play pokemon go on my phone but i've never played an actual game 😳 zoo tycoon is so good as well !! i love simulation games where i can just mind shut off pc goes brrrr ya know
oh that's cool, honestly i know nothing about it so it's great learning about it 😄 i did musical instrument classes when i was a kid instead of dance haha and i am such a perfectionist too, also if i'm not immediately good/showing progress in what i'm doing i just get frazzled 😭

as much as i appreciate the care that went into the improved graphics of the zoo tycoon sequels, nothing will ever compare to that beautiful crunchy single-perspective practically-pixelated 2001 original version...... mmmm yeah baby i love how your terrain has absolutely no light blending at all...... digital dreamworld

one of the things im becoming aware lately is that i really DO NOT play a lot of videogames, particularly rpgs, the way they’re intended to be played. i’m a CHRONIC noodler. i noodle around to an absolutely extreme level.  as a kid i was very much ‘in my own head’ a lot of the time and really good at finding ways to squeeze hours of entertainment out of whatever props i could find to create a narrative, and since i had very limited computer access and no access to console videogames at all before i was a teen this meant i was like, squeezing hours and hours out of using the clip art and lasso tool in the apple word processor program to cobble together chimeras and monsters, or out of, like, using the themed decorations in zoo tycoon 2 to build fantasy villages and then putting in all the animals i imagined would be used by the inhabitants for animal husbandry purposes.
so like, when i first got my hands on a gameboy in like, late middle school or early high school, that just kind of continued to be how i played videogames. i used to spend like hours in minish cap just digging up every tile on the screen with the mole mitts to be rude or traveling around visiting every little minish house in the game to review them like a real estate agent. its like my favorite childhood game. also, i’ve never beaten the boss. so much of my time in pokemon as a kid was doing stuff like this also, or just grinding intensively while i daydreamed abt my team.
it’s only been in like, the past couple years that i’ve realized the vast majority of rpgs, pokemon included, are kind of intending u to move from point A to point B in a relatively prompt manner and that the amount of time i spend goofing around is really wildly disproportionate to the average person’s experience, and that its not universal or really ‘fair’ to necessarily have ‘how well the game meets my arbitrary standards as a satisfactory space for inventive play’ as a cornerstone of judging if a game is good at being the kind of game it’s actually intended to be

man now im thinking abt computer games i loved as a kid and there was OBVIOUSLY zoo tycoon 2, a classic, very important to me
But before that! God. Richard Scarry's Busytown, Little Bear Rainy Day Activities, uhh, some unnamed Winnie the Pooh game that I can't specifically remember?? There was a Land Before Time game that i played a lot, also i think a Madeline game??
My dad got a copy of like... an encyclopedic brittanica game that made me feel SO much dread but i played that into the ground. There was a toy story 2 game in this era but i only remember the level where you had to jump across suitcases frogger style bc i played SO much of that level. idk if it was bc it was fun or if i had trouble beating it

What are some of your favorite video games?
Oo a personal question nice. Well for starters my favourite game series has always been The Legend Of Zelda :) My dad used to play OOT when I was a kid and if I heard him playing I'd go storming to his room and he'd let me run around Hyrule field on Epona XD When I was about 12 I received my first Zelda game - Twilight Princess for the wii and that's the first I finished fully. From that I've played Skyward Sword, Ocarina Of Time (which was nostalgic since I played it myself then) Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Link To The Past, Breath Of The Wild and Link's Awakening remastered. Excited for BOTW 2 this year hopefully! I have 2 of the Hyrule Warriors as well but not completed either.
Apart from that, I have a small steam library which you can see on my desktop (along with other random things)
Tumblr media
Tbh I haven't played as much of Subnautica or King Of Seas as I'd have liked but uh I'll get to it. Probably.
I ADORE tycoon games and my absolute shining star of this library is Planet Zoo which I have probably around 300 hours on now XD I cannot recommend that game enough, sure it's taken a lot of money off me but it's worth it because as an animal obsessed kid who loved basic zoo building games I always wanted a more realistic game just like it and the graphics are stunning!
And then there's everything else lying around like old childhood wii games (Dogz and Catz were my childhood) Pokemon mystery dungeon which I have the original DS of but also the Switch vers which is much improved, and just old DSI games which still has pics of me on it from like ... 2009 yikes, kind of funny to look back on as a adult) But yeah, I love talking about games!

Okay i feel like mentioning this because im not sure how well known it is but
Remember how Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon both got bought out at some point and were just shittier after that?
Okay well the original devs migrated over and made Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster.
I can personally vouch for Planet Zoo. I have almost 200hrs on this game. If Planet Coaster is half as good, then it's pretty good, and a lot closer to the game you remember playing as a kid than any ZT that came out after ZT2.
The only downside is that they're both a little on the pricy side; $45 each at full price and a rarely on sale for more than 25% off.
WELL RIGHT NOW THEY ARE ON SALE FOR ABOUT $10 EACH.
That is LITERALLY a steal. You can get both games for about $20, where at full price you would pay something like $90. THAT'S A DAMN GOOD DEAL.
Worth mentioning both games have DLC that isn't too bad especially on sale but does add up eventually. However, the base game is incredible. You really don't need all the extra crap to have an amazing time playing these games.
If you have even a little nostalgia for ZT & RCT, its worth giving these games a try.
GO BUY THEM.

Weekend Top Ten #516
Top Ten Most-Played Games (of Recent Years)
It feels every now and again that I have a good idea for a list that’s quite topical and relevant, but then because I have otherideas that are also topical and relevant, I end up writing it a couple of weeks later and suddenly it feels like I’m going “oh, yeah, do remember that?” Anyway that’s what’s happening today.
There was a bit of a to-do recently over Dying Light 2, which developer Techland claimed would take 500 hours to complete. Thankfully for my sanity, quite a lot of people baulked at this, thinking 500 was a lot. Now, I like games; I like playing games. But I don’t really play a lot; at least, it doesn’t seem like a lot if I’m on Twitter or games forums. I only really play a couple of big games a year, interspersed with a bunch of smaller titles; so spending 500 hours on one game seems like a luxury. Did I ever spend that much time on a game? Thinking about it, how long do I spend playing games?
I reckon I’ve hardly ever gone over 100 hours, and 500 hours is way off.
So I decided to try to find out. I used the True Achievements website, the Steam app, and my Switch profile to see how long I have actually been playing games for (it’s a pity that Xbox doesn’t have this kind of functionality built in, but I guess that’s a topic for another Top Ten…). And the results may shock you.
Obviously there’s one drawback to this, which is it’s only been possible to keep tabs on your playtime in this manner relatively recently. I’ve no idea how long I spent playing Red Alert or Duke Nukem, especially if we include using their level editors as time spent playing. Ditto for the likes of Lemmings 2, SWOS, The Settlers, or other games from earlier in my gaming career.
Also this has thrown up a couple of weird “errors”. Killer Instinct was down as being played for over 200 hours, which makes no sense. It’s true I played it a bit in the early days of the Xbox One, but nowhere near that length of time. It would make it, by far, my most-played Xbox game; and when Xbox themselves did a celebratory breakdown of my playing milestones to celebrate the console’s twentieth anniversary last year, KIdidn’t warrant a mention; as such, I’m happy to cite this as some kind of aberration. Also there are a few games that came up where it’s clearly not me playing; I’ve presumably been signed in to allow my kids to play. Therefore I’ve excluded both Roblox and Zoo Tycoon (although the latter wouldn’t have made the Top Ten, to be fair). I was tempted to do the same with Minecraft, but I couldn’t be certain; it’s surprising it’s so high, because I don’t feel I’ve sunk hours into it, so in all likelihood my kids have played it a fair bit “as me”. But maybe it was just me playing it with them? Anyway, I’ve made an executive decision to keep it in.
Here we go, and obviously no game is anywhere near500 hours. Right?
Tumblr media
Civilization VI(PC, 2016) – over 1,523 hours: wait, what? Fifteen hundred hours? Fifteen hundred hours? Oh Christ. Oh no. What can I say? I have a tendency to put it on “in the background” when I’m working sometimes. I’ve had it for a few years. I did, genuinely, expect this to be the only 500+ hour game. But one thousand five hundred and twenty-three hours. And this doesn’t count the fact that I’ve played it for about twenty hours on Xbox, too. Jesus.
Stardew Valley (Xbox, 2016) – 127 hours: blimey, that’s a lot. Xbox already told me this was my most-played Xbox game, and I was kinda surprised; had I been logged in whilst my kids were playing? Xbox does have an annoying habit of classing that as you playing a game. But, to be fair, we’ve played it quite a bit as a family, and my wife and I have spent (in-game) years on our farm, getting married and having a kid (in-game… and, er, IRL). So yeah, fair enough.
Civilization V(PC, 2010) – 115 hours: oh look at that. Weirdly I don’t remember ever really getting on with Civ V the way I evidently did with its sequel; it all seemed a little bit too dry and fiddly. All the same, it’s Civ, and I love Civ. This does make me wonder how long I’d spent on previous iterations of the game, and how much of my life has gone into the franchise over the last twenty-odd years or so. Actually, y’know what, let’s not think about that.
Peggle 2 (Xbox, 2013) – 102 hours: now we’re getting into “yep, makes sense” and also “totally fine with that” territory. I got Peggle 2 quite early in the Xbox One generation, and it’s always been my go-to game for a bit of light puzzling or to unwind after a more intense gaming session. I always think I’m crap at these sorts of games, and maybe I am, but I’ve spent so much time on this I’ve gotten quite close to completing every challenge. For me, that’s a big win.
Microsoft Ultimate Word Games (PC, 2017) – 95 hours: again, makes perfect sense; this is something else I’ve often got running in the background whilst I work, popping back over to finish a crossword. For a while there I was trying to get a few achievements on it which necessitated playing it over multiple days. And I stand by it, it’s a great little brain-teaser, even if the crosswords are annoyingly American in their clues, references, and spellings.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons(Switch, 2020) – 95 hours: a new contender emerges… this is a game to sink hours into, and I don’t regret it. I’ve been merrily customising the island for a little while, making it enjoyable for my kids. This was the perfect game for the pandemic, one that rewards repeated replay. In fact, the only reason I don’t play it more often is it takes so bloody long to load, and this SSD generation has put me right off.
Minecraft (Xbox, 2017) – 92 hours: as I alluded to in the blurb, this took me by surprise, but I have played it quite a bit with the nippers so fair enough, I guess. Again, it’s a game that rewards a very deep time sink, far more time than I can give it to really uncover its treasures (literally and metaphorically). The kids love it, though, and happily play with friends and family online. Actually, I wonder how long they’ve spent playing? Maybe best if I don’t find out.
Mass Effect: Andromeda (Xbox, 2017) – 88 hours: finally we start properly getting to the games that I think I prefer (apart from Civ, to be fair). Big, expansive single-player campaigns; that’s where I think my priorities lie. But we’re nearly at the bottom of this list before I get to the latest Mass Effect, I game I know I spent a long time on – it’s a big game, I remember playing it. it’s not the best Mass Effect – in fact, it’s the worst – but it’s still very good, and I really got into my character and her team. 88 hours seems right. I wish I knew how long I’d spent on the three previous entries in the franchise, to say nothing of the three Fable games…
Halo: The Master Chief Collection(Xbox, 2014) – 75 hours: ah, Halo. Probably my favourite gaming franchise. It’s interesting I’ve spent so long with the MCC boxset; I guess I did complete Halo 4 here after I got my Xbox One. And it’s been my go-to multiplayer location for the most part. And I introduced the kids to Halo here, too! So many good memories. Obviously I’ve moved on to Halo Infinite now; really enjoying the campaign so far, and the multiplayer is sublime. I’ve already played that game for nearly thirty hours, and it’ll be interesting to see how much time I’ve spent on it by 2030…
Pokémon Sword(Switch, 2019) – 70 hours: not the most popular Pokémon game but the only one I’ve ever played extensively, so I enjoyed it. We got the Switch (for the kids, natch) the Christmas that Sword and Shield came out and it was a very big, popular game in our house for a while. One of the first games my eldest every completed, and we’ve both enjoyed the expansions too (which I don’t think I have completed, to be honest). It’s quite a good, fast game to get into and get around in, unlike, say, Animal Crossing. But I do find it weird how I’ve not quite vibed with Breath of the Wild, which we got around the same time but which I’ve played a lot less despite liking it a lot more.
So there we are (I feel like I say that a lot at the end of these lists). Quite interesting, for me at least. It’s a bit of a shame that my favourite games – yer Halos and yer Mass Effects – are so low, although I’m not surprised Civ is so high. Genuinely shocked and mildly horrified at quite how long I’ve played it for. It now makes my laptop sound like a jet engine so I don’t tend to play it very much… which is why I bought it for Xbox. Send help.
It is a shame, though, that I can’t find out how long I’ve played Xbox 360 games for. I really do wonder how many hours I spent on things like Halo 3, Fable II, the Mass Effect trilogy, and Crackdown. Also, I’ve no way of knowing how long I’ve played various mobile games for; I imagine Carcassonne – across iOS, Windows Phone, and Android – could very easily outrank Civilization for my most-played game of all time.
I would like to do a similar list based on my recollection of older games, although I don’t know if it should include all games I don’t have stats for, or just games I played 20-30 years ago on PC/Amiga. In the meantime, I’m off to kick the kids off Minecraft and boot up Civ again. Just for one more turn…civi

Brindleton Animal Park
Requested by @talentedtrait
Park, 64x64, $ 256.844. No lot traits assigned. CC, MOO, debug, play tested.
Enable bb.moveobjects when placing the lot.
Packs used: Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Snowy Escape; Outdoor Retreat, Dine Out, Vampires, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, StrangerVille; Perfect Patio, Romantic Garden, Toddler, Laundry Day, My First Pet. CC used: Brittpinkiesims - Zoo Set (original link is down, but I was able to find it with a bit of the old Google magic).
Tray Files - SFS
Click pictures to enlarge.
A small zoo near the beach of Brindleton Bay. Don’t be fooled by its size, this animal park is home to a large variety of species. Naturally, it’s well know for its aquariums with various aquatic species. Sims can wander around the park and view some of the animals (the ones behind higher fences can’t be viewed). There’s also a playground for the kids and toddlers in the basement. I’ve had a few issues with the “poorly decorated” moodlet, but I think those are fixed now. This is a large lot, with lots of things on it - and a fair amount of MOO used, so it may lag on low end machines. As this lot uses CC, I decided to not share it on the gallery, if anyone wants me to upload it, I can of course do that.
@talentedtrait I have to say, I was a lot overwhelmed by your request at first, but in the end, I really enjoyed building this for you. I went ahead and fuly decorated everything, it was like playing Planet Zoo/Zoo Tycoon, but with the easier TS4 build tools. Of course, the items I had were limited so, not everything is represented entirely accurate. I have spent several hours researching and resizing the animals to be proporionate to Sims. I left out a few animals, but I like how it ended up. You even got me to use CC in a build, which I honestly never thought I’d do. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your Sims’ trip to the zoo.

thanks!!! as for baby Jason headcanons I have a lot but I’m too lazy to list them all rn but here are some:
- the reason he wears dick’s original robin uniform is because it’s a hand-me-down and as the younger sibling, of course he has to wear dick’s old clothes. the ironic part is that twelve year old jason fits into nine year old dick’s clothes lmao
- he’s allergic to everything pre-Lazarus pit. everything.
- I have a lot to say on the topic of Dick and Jason being brothers before Jason dies bc I like the idea of Dick being the classic jerk big brother to Jason instead of how he’s the loving big brother to the other kids, but it’s mostly inspired by my brother and I’s relationship
- one day I’ll make a post about that but basically Jason would watch Dick play video games and Dick would complain but be forced to let Jason hang around by Bruce and/or Alfred so basically every time Dick died in the game, he’d claim it was Jason’s fault
- on that topic: Dick and Jason used to play zoo tycoon 2 together constantly when Jason was Robin but they lost the game disc one day and it was never seen again and they can’t play it anymore and it’s super disappointing
- JASON PLAYED LITTLE LEAGUE AND HE’S A BIG BASEBALL FAN YOU CAN’T STOP ME
- this one is more specifically for the Young Justice version, but that Jason and Billy Batson were likely the same age and therefore I decided they were best friends when Jason was on the team and they bonded over Pokémon games and being homeless kids
