yes absolutely, i imagine that too! conversely, i think mihawk would have a little bit of trouble adjusting his balance and reach with a body missing one arm, as well. it's interesting to think about how they both would be forced to change their fighting style, and whether or not they would exchange swords.

mihawk's been seen using yoru with just one hand so he could probably pull it off with shanks's body. also interesting to think about shanks tripping up on having two arms until he naturally slips into his old fighting style again--or would he? because there's also the question of muscle memory, right? would mihawk's body automatically do things that shanks isn't predisposed to doing, and vice versa?

the other thing i find intriguing about body swapping in one piece is the question of whether or not your haki powers would switch as well. they say haki is spiritual presence, so presumably your haki switches if your spirits switch, but if it's the kind of spirit that's tethered to the presence of the body? then consider mihawk having the strongest conqueror's haki out on the blues, or shanks being able to use observation haki at mihawk's level, practically being able to predict the future--or mihawk, able to counter with shanks's haki-kill technique. food for thought!

#hollow knight #little ghost #hk ghost #the knight #hk hornet #hornet #alright. as of writing these tags it's been a week since the original dream so! let's see what i remember dgsgsgf #i was playing a game. which was a sequel to hollow knight ((Not silksong though)) #there was some new sort of divine infection in hallownest and hornet had asked ghost to investigate it. they ended the last one after all! #the red glowy spike gate thingy is what you jumped into to enter the 'infected' areas #though it actually led directly to a hub world type of place. which was kinda like an expanded base for the grimm troupe? #more like an entire lair instead of a camp. also some greek gods were there for some reason lmao. they had their own special rooms too #so sidenote but- new headcanon that there are grimm troupe members named ares athena artemis &... venus lmao. not aphrodite for some reason #also monomon was there?? i think??? except she was cooking????? she had a sidequest to deliver something to someone though i dunno hdgfhdgh #i remember going back to the grimm troupe lair a couple times throughout my 'playthrough' #anyway. the 'infection' this time around was more of a glitchy physical corruption thing? rather than a mind corruption. #though there were still aggressive enemies to fight. but i remember getting a map from cornifer early on and he was. probably infected #i think part of his body was covered in electricity or something? so he wasn't fully visible? but he was still acting normally #there was also a moth who was the seer but then later wasn't the seer (but was still the same moth) dghgdhf. i delivered stuff to her #that glowing white wall thing in the drawing was like a one-way gate. you could only cross it from the other side and ghost came from there #i guess things looped back up somehow i dunno ghdgfhgf #anyway. ghost's red eyes. those are significant! those happened while i was walking through a corridor. it had pools of shallow water #(shallow enough to just walk through) and also creatures that were lightseeds but red.the implication was that they were full of Blood lmao #and as i went along killing them--as one does--as i walked through the hall. they started turning the water red too #there was also narration about this as it was happening ashdgsf. specifically the narrator said the water turned red before it actually did #ghost's eyes slowly turned red too. but aside from that they were fine! since. they're the player character and the player is perfectly fin #BUT. when they encountered hornet again. she thought they were infected. and that she lost the only family she had left </3 #she didn't attack though. instead she just jumped into the red spike gate without a word. decided to try to fix everything herself #but eventually you'd encounter her again down below and she'd fight you. didn't actually get to that in the dream though #aand i'm out of tags </3 i wanted to talk about what i'd do to make this make more sense as an au or something now that i'm awake but. :c

So I actually made this ref like 3 months ago and forgor to post it so here it is! My girlie Night Bear!

I actually made this oc back in 2019-2020 and have made several refs for her before but this one just happens to be the most recent

I won't spill too much about her lore but I'll give a brief TLDR:

Basically her belly badge power is to make dreams! Usually affected by her feelings and desires as well as other outside factors

One day she noticed her dreams would come out corrupted...nightmares

These nightmares became a big cloud monster that shrouded Care-A-Lot in darkness and put everyone to sleep

She fixed it but sacrificed half of herself in the process

They tried to fix her with a Stare but it ended up not working and just blasting her out of Care-A-Lot instead and sent her plummeting to Earth

She gets found by No Heart and taken in by him, giving her an amulet connected to his to keep her obedient to him

There's a lot more to it but that's just the fast and loose version. Maybe I'll post her entire story in detail one of these days... I just wanted to get this out so you know who she is when I post the stuff I have planned for her y'know

#my art #artists on tumblr #the legend of korra #original characters #sotrl midori #sotrl haya #seeds of the red lotus #look I was feeling extremely emotional recently. and thought about how different life would be for my OCs if Haya was good #and I'm a sucker for AUs like that. it's spiritually healing. so of course I had to draw something for it #I originally wanted to draw a companion piece for suiren too but then thought it was just rehashing the idea #and I draw Suiren a lot already anyways so decided to just take the excuse to draw adorable little Midori and run with it #I have quite a few thoughts about an AU like this too. it starts out like sotrl does. haya gives them the cold shoulder and is kinda mean #but then the news of the rl's imprisonment reach gaoling. haya is shellshocked at first. distances herself and sends the girls to their room #pretends she can't hear the crying. but really she wants to cry too because as estranged as they are. ghazan is still her little brother #she indulges late that night after she think the girls are asleep. deep buried trauma from losing her parents resurfaces #but then she hears footsteps behind her. Midori is awake. haya wants to be angry at first but finds she has no energy to #they talk a little. the warm glow of candlelight catches midori's eyes and their grey shade turns gold. she looks so much like him #haya realises Midori is even younger than ghazan was when they lost their parents. suiren is half the age haya herself was #no one cared for her and ghazan back then. she won't let history repeat itself #so she reaches for midori. heart skipping a beat when she lights up slightly. and takes her into her arms #holds her close as midori hugs her back. if she closes her eyes it almost feels like she’s 14 again. holding her brother #she swears then that she’ll be as good of a guardian to these girls as she can so they don’t end up like their parents did. like haya did #it’s a long road to unlearn her bitterness but she tries her best. it’s easier with midori who soaks in affection like a sponge #Midori’s happiness is infectious. with suiren it’s much more difficult bc the prejudice Haya holds against the swamp are still there #as is the hatred for their mother. it isn’t until the townspeople start calling Suiren a swamp rat does haya snap #she no longer cares about getting alienated from the community that barely welcomed her anyway. she will defend her niece from them all #it’s the first time she calls suiren her niece. they talk too and Haya apologises for favouring Midori and starts working on fixing it #their life together isn’t perfect. the townspeople side eye them. they can’t afford bending teachers. Haya still has to bite her tongue #but it’s so much better than what could have been had Haya let her pain consume her and started to take it out on the girls. they’re happy #I have so much more to say and theorise about when it comes to this au but alas. tag limits are a thing. so I’m leaving this here

It's always been canon that Joker's glasses are fake because that's what they're identified as in the accessories menu. However most people, myself included, choose to ignore this fact because Atlus is Wrong sometimes. I personally like to think he's extremely near sighted so looking for things he's misplaced is hell, in that way Third Eye is a god send for him.
