Hey, man. I have a question. Can you do a Yandere Concept for Sonic the Hedgehog?

Yandere! Sonic The Hedgehog Concept

Pairing: Romantic/Platonic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Overprotective behavior, Jealousy, Clingy behavior, Denial, Paranoia, Isolation, Possessive behavior, Kidnapping, Mentioned violence, Dubious/Forced companionship/relationship.

Sonic is a hero at heart.

He's cocky, easy-going, compassionate, honest, loyal, cool, and always wants his friends to smile.

It would be rather strange if he took a dark turn, wouldn't it?

Which is probably why he can hide his obsession so well.

While usually quite honest, his obsessive behavior would start subtle and hidden.

I feel Sonic would become obsessive over a new friend he's made.

He probably doesn't even see his obsession as anything bad... or even notices it at first.

He'd probably just think his overprotective and clingy behavior is just him wanting to keep you safe.

Like any other hero... right?

Sonic's obsession definitely comes off as him being caring and protective.

But as more danger occurs... and you're always put in danger due to Eggman... his feelings towards you only get worse and worse.

Obsession no doubt corrupts this hedgehog when it comes to you.

At first Sonic just seems to want to be around you all the time.

You two are good friends and you trust him!

He isn't bad to be around, always managing to keep you in a good mood with his personality.

It's all very subtle... he just claims he checks on you because he felt a bit worried is all!

However... the longer he knows you, the more he begins to notice his darker feelings.

Soon he realizes he feels tense and uneasy when you're around others.

Tails, Knuckles, Silver, Shadow, Amy, etc...

For some reason when he sees you with the others he just gets... upset.

Which only seems to make the hedgehog stick around you more.

He can only come up with so many excuses....

Sonic is in denial when you ask him if something's wrong.

He's never been better! He just... wanted to spend more time with you!

He's been visiting you everyday.

Sonic has never been this clingy.

However... he has been through a lot.

His obsession grows as he begins to identify his feelings as jealousy.

He's jealous of you being around others.

It's unhealthy... he's self-aware enough to notice this.

But at time same time he's unsure of how to fix things.

He knows it's wrong... but the thought of keeping you to himself is tempting.

The others no doubt notice Sonic's getting twitchy about you.

Soon things just aren't subtle anymore.

But Sonic waits until Eggman attacks again before making any moves.

He's smart, he waits until Eggman captures you before saving you.

Now Sonic has an excuse to isolate you.

He'd never let Eggman or any other foe harm you, no worries.

If they did then he may lose his morals just for a moment to hurt them.

When you wake up, you're locked in a home.

Most likely your home.

In front of you sits Sonic, smiling softly when you wake up.

His normally cheerful green gaze looks darker than normal.

Sonic would then explain that Eggman captured you, but Sonic saved you once again.

He then warns you not to leave your bed... you've been injured by Eggman, best to rest!

It's unknown if Sonic truly caused your injury or not.

Sonic really hates being deceptive, he even hates confining you to one place...

But if he wants you safe, happy, and all to himself...

He has to make sacrifices.

Sonic may then try to tell you it's dangerous to go outside.

The others try to ask Sonic what he's done, yet he admits nothing.

He's keeping you out of harm's way...

You just need to listen to him...

He's the only one who can keep you safe... even if it means keeping you locked in a room with only Sonic to greet you.

Overall Yandere Type: Overprotective, Obsessive, Clingy, Manipulative, Paranoid (at times), Jealous, Possessive (at times), Caring, Sometimes is either delusional or self-aware.

Sonic World Building Headcanons

For the soul

Any fic of mine that you read uses all or almost all of these Headcanons btw

Covering your hands and feet is the equivalent of covering yourself for decency. It's taboo to talk about what someone's hands look like if you've seen them before

Fingerless gloves give the same vibe as micro skirts and sheer tops with nothing underneath

All (or at least most) Mobians/anthropomorphic animals start off showing a lot more animalistic traits. For example, young children might sniff each other in greeting or get territorial over their bedroom or house

Children who go to school get taught to use their "grown up instincts" and essentially get trained to be "normal"

There are Mobians who are outliers of course, Knuckles for example grew up secluded on a floating island. Over the years he's learned how to fit in better with the general populace but he still comes off as very naive, or not mentally developed (I probably should just say what autistic look like to neurotypicals huh)

Shadow would be an even more extreme example since he's literally an alien

Because of this, kids aren't allowed to move up a grade if they're smart enough to test out, like Tails. If they did that, they would miss crucial developmental skills specifically targeted toward their instincts

Different types of Mobians need different types of diets. For example, spider Mobians can't have mint period. Whether artificial or real. Unless they had been fed little bits of mint at a young age to build up the immunity by the time they reach adulthood

In the comforts of their own home most Mobians fall back on their animalistic traits. Like cat types purring in the sunlight or bird types preening their feathers

It's rude to refer to people as their species. Not like, super offensive, just rude. (Ex. Shadow refers to Sonic as "hedgehog")

Most Mobians aren't one type of animal, most are mixed between two or more. For example, someone mixed with a jackal and a raccoon. Which one they get referred to depends first on appearance, so sometimes children don't get classified until three or four. If they truly look like a 50/50 split between the two species then they get DNA testing done and are referred to as whichever one is higher

The village Tails comes from is a small village completely comprised of Mobians from the canidae family, small villages being completely one animal family is regular, but cities being this way is unheard-of

Sonic is a famous hero and does have a heavily filled bank account. Not because he asked of course, but because of public outrage when he off handedly mentioned he doesn't get paid for saving the world

Off topic, but Tails manages the bank account because he uses the most of the money. Inventions aren't cheap. Any bills they have are on auto pay so they don't worry about them.

Most Mobians are left handed

Okay, I don't really like humans in the Sonic world. If I had my way the Robotniks would be robins, Maria would be a mixture of hedgehog and bird in a way that's off putting to Mobians but we would think looks cool, that being said she'd be classified as a hedgehog

Anyway, this is not the case and humans do exist. In my head there're three different planets, one with humans, one with Mobians, and one with humans + Mobians

That being said, I think space travel isn't a super regular thing for Mobians to do but it's not unheard of. It's probably just super expensive if anything

Aliens are still fucking crazy to them tho

Some companies/governments (like GUN) span across two or more planets

There's generally a lot of animosity between Mobians and humans but in like a modern day racism (specism??) way and it is not the Mobians fault

Money also works differently Mobians (don't ask me how it works tho I got no fucking clue man), and a lot of the time Mobians just exchange favors for favors

Character Headcanons pertaining to world building

Reiterating: Sonic is famous and gets money transferred to his(read Tails') bank account. Tails village is full of dingos, foxes, jackals, wolves, coyotes, even some dogs.

Most of Sonic's friends are pretty loaded tbh. Obviously team rose, team dark, and team Sonic make the most money, but you know.. details

Very few things tip people off to Shadow being an alien. Like yeah he has canines but he might just be mixed species? He's right handed but some people just are so that's normal. Yeah he might hiss in public but you don't know his life. Maybe he can't control it.

I headcanon Amy as a hedgehog/echidna mix, but she simply looks more like a hedgehog in the face and body, but her quills are what really give her mixed heritage away (I am projecting)

Depending on which continuity you're looking at, Sonic was taught to control his instincts either from an orphanage, his uncle, his mom, or some secret 4 thing I'm forgetting.

He doesn't teach Tails about the whole instincts thing, but Tails has always been in a rush to grow up. He's smart and observant, he's the king of repressing them instead of learning at a slow and more natural pace that won't hurt him in the long run

Cream and Amy are the most socially competent by a longshot. Rouge could be if she, first of all, didn't spend so much time with Shadow and Omega, and also didn't find it funny to act like she does.

Noeggets has a lot of deep thoughts about Shadow's characterization

it's so sad that Shadow was only a project to gerald, like we all joke /think that Shadow was "part of the family" but he was only a cure to Maria, that man was not as good a person as we think he was IM NOt SAYING HE WAS BAD but i usually see him depicted as super super kind to Shadow but i was reading the lore of SA2 and watching an analysis video and if the president never asked him to make whatever he asked him to make Shadow very well would not have been created.

It's so dark and so sad, like he manipulated Shadow when he went insane how do you think it feels to Shadow to know the person who made him didn't truly love him? like neither of the things that created/help create Shadow really truly loved him, he's only a cure, he's just a thing to reach immortality, he very well could be immortal himself, Shadow i don't think he can die cause he was created to not be able to catch any disease and be immortality it's self.

How do you think that feels? to just be a thing? Biolizard is just a failed attempt at making Shadow based on Chaos, those Chaos things in the ARK are failed attempts at Shadow also based on Chaos, i never knew this until i read the wiki 2 days ago SA2 has such a dark story i feel so bad for Shadow

re-thinking what i used to think about IDW Shadow lemme explain

And now that i know all this about Shadow the way he acts in IDW makes a little more sense to me, we all thought he was stupid when Sonic said "don't touch those zobot guys you'll turn into one" and Shadow was all "yeah, i dont care this wont effect me" HE WAS LIKE THIS FOR TWO REASONS

he was mad at Sonic cause his whole thing i want to achieve world peace i already talked about how IDW Shadow doesn't have as much compassion as the Shadow we all know from any other game but this is Eggman we're talking about, with everything Eggman's done up to this point do you think Shadow believes there is any good in him when he rarely does anything good Shadow has seen? Time eater, Sonic unleashed, Shadow is not ignorant to Eggman waking up a monster inside the planet everybody whether we seen them or not knows sonic unleashed happen, Sonic brings up sonic unleashed in IDW so it canonly happened. i remember reading that Knuckles and Shadow were gonna be in Sonic unleashed and if that's true SHADOW IS AWARE OF THIS

Eggman is a threat to the world to Shadow but he allowed the doctor to be cause Sonic keeps him check, Sonic is starting to be "unable" to keep him in check from Shadow's view, Shadow was there in forces, he witness what Eggman did to greenhill, he fought infinite who is a merc hired by Eggman mercs off people, Shadow is trying to save people that's his whole thing. After what happen to Shadow in Episode Shadow in forces do you think Shadow would hold any sympathy for Eggman the next time he physically see's him? After what he did to the world, after what he did to Omega? right in front of his eyes? Using Infinite to corrupt Omega and scare him Shadow cares about Omega that's his friend i had a point but i forgot it dang it anyway Shadow was in the war,

i remembered it a little bit i think i think i was gonna say something about when GUN sent Shadow to rescue Omega idk i haven't touched forces in sometime, and Shadow didn't come back as well as Omega. Eggman immobilized Shadow Shadow does not think the world is safe with Eggman around i think that was my point i don't remember...

ANYWAY that's why when Shadow came to see mr tinker he was pissed that Sonic allowed Eggman to be, this is dangerous to Shadow. when Shadow was getting mad at Sonic cause Sonic was preaching let Mr. Tinker live Shadow was thinking about the bigger picture: This man is terrorizing people and the only way to keep everyone safe is getting rid of him, this may be the only chance we get, but he let him live because Sonic explained that Shadow did bad things in the past as well so does that mean Shadow gets to go down with Eggman?

Shadow was mad at Sonic and the mess he made, Shadow was being compassionate i just didn't see it or understand it until now, it shocked him greatly when he was consumed by metal virus because he truly believed he could not catch a disease, this is a disease, so he wasn't being stupid i will admit he should have been more cautious not to put it to the test if it would work on him but Shadow was so sure he couldn't catch it, cause he believed he can't catch any KNOWN diseases this was a new disease his body wasn't created to understand therefore it works on him.

We thought SEGA didn't know what they were doing when they were writing IDW Shadow BUT THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING people probably don't even care or remember about when that issue came out and everyone got so mad that Shadow was written "wrong" and being "stupid" but now that i have a understanding i think understand what he was doing and his thought process.

Shadow is moving up on my favorite list for this i feel so bad for Shadow F in the chat for Shadow his story is so sad like really. also heres an old thing i did that's really valid now

thoughts on sonic’s rivals and sega’s usage of them

knuckles: has been relegated to a very friendly rival. sonic and him are not fighting near as much as they used to. i think sega could benefit from making knuckles a bit more antagonizing, at least in regards to when angel island is in danger, but otherwise after all these adventures together it doesn’t REALLY make sense for knuckles to actively be an antagonistic force. so i don’t think knuckles should be classified as a rival anymore really. that said knuckles is also a character that should be used in specific circumstances- as in he should really only be in games when the master emerald is relavent (ie, missing). so knuckles should be limited based on that alone, but his friendship with sonic has also impacted his “rivalry”. all that to say knuckles isnt really a rival anymore and he shouldn’t be used often as an antagonistic force given that he’s already been tricked 100 times and has spent the past 30 years with sonic.

metal sonic: honestly when sega wants “antagonistic force for no real good reason” metal sonic should be the first thing to pop up. he’s a great rival for both racing and actual boss fights. sega just needs to use him more he’s a great foil to sonic, he has no limitations on his personality or circumstance, so he should be an active, repeated rival in the sonic games but for some reason he keeps getting ignored

shadow: complicated feelings on him. shadow can’t act like his sa2 self which is what sega tends to want from him. shadow should be more of an ally to sonic than an outright antagonistic force given that shadow also wants to save humanity. the only source of conflict that works is when sonic and shadow have different opinions on what “saving” means. sonic battle is a great example of this. so shadow can be a rival but it has to be done well and meaningfully. additionally shadow’s a pretty powerhouse character so im inclined to think he shouldn’t be involved in games unless eggman is trying to like, blow up the planet again.

blaze: blaze went through a character arc and isn’t really a rival to sonic anymore. she’s a bit like knuckles in that they’re too friendly to actually be antagonistic to each other, unless there was some sort of misunderstanding; but again, blaze has worked with him enough to know that sonic’s a good guy here to help. so blaze is a great friend but she’s not really a “rival” anymore. that said she’s also severely limited in appearances since she lived in another dimension; as such she should only appear when a game threatens her dimension/emeralds.

jet: jets a pretty solid character that should still be reoccurring. like he’s a fantastic option for a racing rival, if sega makes more racing games. why the fuck he isn’t in any racing games after sonic riders series is beyond me. but i think jet works best as a racing rival so i can’t see him being used as a boss fight or anything. anyway sega should use him more but specifically for racing games

silver: kind of not a rival any more either? he would probably only fight sonic again based on a misunderstanding but again, he’s fought with sonic long enough by now that he knows sonic isn’t going to actively try to destroy the world. his motivation is probably similar to shadow; sonic and him will agree to save the world, but might disagree on how, and that can cause conflict. that said silver’s more of an ally now than a true antagonistic force. plus he’s from the future so his appearances should be limited to only immensely severe threats.

bonus- mighty (& ray): honestly they’re not really rivals. they work a lot better as friends. plus mighty is limited to the classic games at this point and if they did bring him to modern games, he should be a friend. he honestly doesn’t have any major conflicts with sonic.

bonus- fang the sniper: again, only in classic games. honestly i don’t think he’s interesting enough to be a reoccurring rival in the main games. he’d be fine for side missions or one off boss fights but he wouldn’t be interesting for being a full on antagonistic rival

Silver was such a sweet naive guy. That’s what Espio thought. Sometimes he wondered how Silver maintained that optimism is a flaming hellscape. But Silver always tried to improve his time without letting himself feel down. He reminded the chameleon of a very fluffy energetic puppy sometimes.

These were thoughts Espio had before he agreed to go clubbing for a ‘guy’s night’. Sonic had left to who knows where. Knuckles went off with Rouge. Shadow refused to come, something Espio wished he had also done. Tails was teaching Mighty how to play poker at a random table somewhere. And this ninja had been dragged onto the dance floor by an extremely intoxicated Silver.

The psychic had long since stopped talking to him in English. Espio wasn’t sure what language he was speaking. It sounded like messed up Spanish to him.

Espio had drank a few drinks. He was a bit beyond tipsy. But Silver to him was sloshed with the way he hung onto the other’s body to stay up right as they danced.

“Silver, do you want to go back and get something eat?” The chameleon offered. He didn’t have much money, but if he could get the twenty something hedgehog outside for fresh air and way from the loud music he so desperately wanted to dance to, maybe the psychic would sober up. At least sober enough to speak English.

Silver fixed his gold eyes on him. There was an intensity to those golden orbs Espio only saw during intense battle. Was Silver so intoxicated he saw the ninja as a threat?

A smile soon spread across Silver’s muzzle. Silver’s hands traced along Espio’s back causing him to shiver. Silver leaning his head on the ninja’s shoulder, his breath was hot and tingled on his neck.

Silver leaned in closer to whisper something in that weird Spanish he couldn’t place. Maybe it’s a language that forms in the future. The tone sounded like a question.

“Yes.” Epsio nodded when he noticed Silver staring at him with those intense eyes. That stare was making him feel too warm.

Silver grinned widely as his tail wagged happily. He spoke again as he walked his fingers up Espio’s shoulder.

Within the blink of an eye, the grey hedgehog chaos controlled them to a whole new place. Espio blinked as he struggled to make out the room. It was humid and warm. He took note of multiple tropical plants. The lack of light made it hard for him to make out more than silhouettes and the soft glow of the cyan marks on Silver’s body.

Did Silver teleport them to a rainforest?

The ninja was knocked out of his musing by the psychic pressing a sloppy forceful kiss on his lips. Espio was caught off guard. He opened his mouth to remind Silver he was too intoxicated. only the psychic went deeper into the kiss.

It felt good. Espio couldn’t deny it made his whole body tingle. His thoughts went fuzzy as Silver led the experience. Espio could pick up many emotions in Silver’s eyes. None of which the usual sweet, innocent, naive look that Espio had come used to seeing.

Espio debated what to do. Silver was too drunk. He, himself, was inebriated. Luckily not at Silver’s level. He at least would remember this in the morning.

“You’re not going to remember any of this in the morning,” Espio told the hedgehog.

Silver snickered as he purred something the ninja didn’t understand. The snicker sounded daring.

They had flirted before. So attraction was mutual on both sides. They had done nothing more than a few kisses. No talk or anything of exclusivity or definitions of their relationship. Espio decided to just roll with what the hedgehog wanted. After all, a few kisses and Silver would probably pass out wanting snuggles.

Espio woke up the next morning, proved wrong. His body felt a bit stiff as his face was buried in Silver’s chest fur. What he originally thought was a rain forest was actually a bedroom filled with plants at every spot possible.

Espio heard the door open but was too tired to move as he slowly drifted between consciousness and sleep.

Shadow paused as he came into Silver’s bedroom to water his collection of house plants. Silver said yesterday he wouldn’t be home today. But here he was. Passed out in his bed, nude and with a guest at that. The black hedgehog rolled his eyes as he searched for a blanket in Silver’s closet. He found none, but did find two spare sheets. He tossed one on each of the forms.

Silver groaned in response.

“Morning Silver.” Shadow whispered. “You smell of booze.”

Silver growled back. Espio froze upon hearing Shadow’s voice. A part of him feeling if he stayed perfectly still Shadow wouldn’t notice him.

“Don’t growl at me.” Shadow chided. “I’m the one watering your plants.”

“Go away.” Silver grumbled a few words Espio didn’t understand.

“Oh, so we’re only speaking Italian hung over I hear.” Shadow watered the plants. “Do your Fidanzato even know Italian?”

Fidanzato : Italian for Boyfriend.

Silver grumbled back several sentences. “Rather he did or not. He’s in my arms now.”

Shadow rolled his eyes. “You are a bold drunk I see.” He checked the soil of one plant. “Shame. The ninja’s a shy drunk. He’s turned invisible.”

Espio hadn’t realized he had turned invisible as he was pulled closer into Silver’s chest.

“You’re annoyingly chatty today.” Silver growled in Italian. “Leave Espio out of your lectures.”

“Good on you for figuring out I was lecturing you.” Shadow mused. “Welp. Since you’re hung over and brought a ragazzo amante home, your cooking breakfast this morning.”

Ragazzo Amante : Italian for Lover Boy

“Whatever.” Silver waved his hand.

“Plants are watered.” Shadow stated as he walked back to the door. “Espio, I know you’re awake. Steal the rob from Silver’s closet when you feel like getting up. Bathroom is the first door down the hall. I’ll find some clothes to fit you and put them in there for you.”

Espio felt his face become flush as the door clicked closed. The only good thing was that the ninja knew the Ultimate Life form could keep secrets. He just hated the idea that anyone saw him in a compromising position. It didn’t matter if he was nearly 30, he still hated it.

They laid there for a long while before Espio’s blatter became demanding. The purple chameleon untangled himself from Silver’s limbs. Silver making soft upset sounds as he did so. Espio felt Silver’s powers attempting to pull him back into bed.

“I have to pee.” Espio protested.

“That makes sense.” Silver finally spoke his first words in English since last night. He used his powers to open the closet and pulled out a soft pink robe out and into Espio’s chest. “Bathroom, is the first door down the hall.”

Espio smirked at the pink robe. “I remember Shadow saying that. Does this come with bunny slippers?” He took note of the bunny character on the collar.

“They’re in the shoe rack on the door.” Silver slowly sat up. “UGH. My head hurts.”

Espio slid into the robe as he grabbed the matching slippers. His head also hurt. Though probably not as much as the psychic.

Sonic Adventure 2: Sonadow

Chapter 18: Shadow's Pain, Sonic's Comforting

The team separated in the ARK to find different ways of stopping the energy before it impacted the Earth. Amy was left behind and told to play Bejeweled Blitz on the computer with a disappointed and bored look on her face. She wanted to help them and be useful, but Eggman forced her to play computer games because she had no power or battle tactics.

‘Man, this isn’t fair. Why can’t I help and join the team? I felt like I did nothing!’ Amy groaned as she laid her down on the computer desk, ‘Why do they have to keep me out when they need me most?’

*ARK Base*

Tails opened the panels to reveal the wires inside. He started his analysis of all the circuits in front of him while looking for anything that could stop the blast. Rouge watched in awe of his genius mind.

“Wow, Tails, you are really good at this…” said Rouge in an impressed tone as she crossed her arms over her chest.

“Thanks! This is just what I always dreamed of doing… I wonder how Sonic would react if he knew how much I had to learn from him to get to this point.” He thought for a moment as his mind went back to the days when they were kids and they played together. Tails carefully cut the wire, his hands steady and precise. The room held its breath as everyone watched, hoping that this would be the solution they needed. As the wire was severed, a surge of electricity sparked and crackled, causing the lights to flicker momentarily.

Suddenly, a low hum resonated throughout the base, signaling that something had changed. Tails cautiously glanced at the control panel, his eyes widening in disbelief. The countdown had stopped. The imminent threat of destruction had been averted. Tails breathed a sigh of relief and Rouge patted his shoulder.

“Well done, Tails! You saved the day!” Rouge exclaimed, giving Tails a huge smile.

“Thank you, Rouge! It really means a lot to me! But we have to look for Sonic and the others now,” he said quickly as he jumped to his feet and walked towards the door. “Right behind you!” Rouge replied with a nod before following him out the door.

*At the Security System*

Eggman was cutting the circuit wires to turn off the energy, which worked perfectly. Now all the danger from that explosion would be nullified and the planet wouldn't suffer any damage from the force. “Perfect! Everything should work fine now,” he said triumphantly, “Just one more thing to add to my list of inventions to improve upon!”

He communicated Tails with a walkie-talkie to let him know the plan was working.

“Tails, everything’s working. How does it go?” he asked. A few seconds later Tails’ voice came through, “Everything’s good. We’re still trying to locate the others. We’ll try to communicate again in a bit.”

After hearing that, Eggman frowned slightly; he hoped Tails had found Sonic before the energy ran out. “Roger. I’ll be counting on you,” he replied as he began to communicate with Rouge, “Alright, Rouge, once I've finished, you'll have to go to the core and drain the liquid energy for Sonic and Knuckles so they can proceed.”

“Roger,” she answered before turning to leave the room. Eggman turned towards the main computer, where he had already placed the new data. “There we go. All ready to go to work! And I hope to see your face soon enough,” said Eggman.

*At the Core System*

As Rouge hurried towards the Core System, her footsteps echoed through the dimly lit corridor. The air was heavy with anticipation as she approached her destination. The Core System, the heart of Dr. Eggman's operation, was a massive, pulsating chamber filled with intricate machinery and glowing energy conduits.

As she entered the Core System, the sound of humming machinery surrounded her. The room was bathed in an eerie blue glow, casting elongated shadows on the walls. Rouge's eyes darted around, searching for any signs of buttons and switches.

She spotted two transparent containment chambers at the center of the chamber. Inside each, she found the control panels, buttons, and switches. Determination surged within Rouge as she moved closer to the chambers.

With her gloved hand, Rouge reached out to a control panel nearby. She examined the complex interface, analyzing the intricate codes and symbols. She knew she had to drain the liquid energy from the chambers, allowing Sonic and Knuckles to enter the ARK base.

Her fingers danced across the buttons and switches, her movements precise and deliberate. As the liquid energy started to drain out from the chambers, Rouge watched as Sonic and Knuckles began to proceed to the base.

"Nice work, Rouge," complimented Sonic.

"Thanks. Now go ahead and find your way, we're going to need their energy to shut down the system," said Rouge.

Sonic nodded, "Copy that." Sonic turned to Knuckles, "Let's go." Knuckles nodded.

*At the Fuse System*

Sonic and Knuckles had arrived at the Fuse System

Sonic and Knuckles stood in awe as they entered the Fuse System, a massive chamber filled with intricate machinery and pulsating energy. The room hummed with power, and the air crackled with anticipation. The duo knew that this was a crucial moment in their mission to shut down the ARK base.

As they approached the central control console, Sonic couldn't help but crack a confident smile. "Alright, Knuckles, let's do this!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with determination.

Knuckles nodded, his fists clenched tightly. "No problem, Sonic. We've faced tougher challenges than this before," he replied, his voice resonating with unwavering resolve.

Together, they assessed the control console, its array of buttons, levers, and switches stretching out before them. The console emitted a soft glow, guiding their eyes to the areas that needed their attention.

Sonic's nimble fingers flew across the buttons, intuitively deciphering the intricate sequence required to shut down the Fuse System. Knuckles, with his immense strength, positioned himself strategically, ready to pull any necessary levers or switches with precision.

As they worked in perfect sync, the Fuse System began to respond. Sparks erupted from the machinery, and the room trembled with the impending release of power. Sonic and Knuckles remained focused, undeterred by the intensity of the situation.

With each successful maneuver, the energy in the room shifted, gradually reducing the Fuse System's potency. Sonic's speed and Knuckles' brute force were a formidable combination, their teamwork proving to be their greatest asset.

As the final moments approached, the chamber seemed to hold its breath. The energy crackled and surged one last time before gradually subsiding. The once thunderous room now fell into an eerie silence, signifying the successful shutdown of the Fuse System.

Sonic and Knuckles exchanged triumphant looks, their smiles wide and contagious. "We did it!" Sonic exclaimed, his voice echoing through the chamber. "Now let's regroup with Rouge and ensure the ARK base is fully deactivated."

Together, they hurriedly made their way back to Rouge and others, the satisfaction of their accomplishment fueling their steps. The journey ahead may still be challenging, but with their combined skills and determination, Sonic, Knuckles, and Rouge were ready to face whatever lay ahead in their mission to save the day.

*Meanwhile the Main Control Room*

"Looks like ARK is stable," said Orbot.

"That's good," Cubot said. "But there seems to be a small problem. We haven't received word from them since they left the control room about five minutes ago."

"What small problem?" asked Orbot curiously.

"The Energy Wave has taken its toll. There's very little power left in the core, and all the systems are shutting down. We have no choice but to destroy the core now," said Cubot.

"You're right, but we need Shadow to help us do that. Do you think he'll notice?" asked Orbot.

"I'm not sure. But even if he doesn't, the core will eventually self-destruct," Cubot replied.

Orbot nodded, a frown appearing on his face. Suddenly, a door opened to reveal Sonic, and the others entered the room. Cubot looked at them in surprise, wondering what they were up to. Sonic strode forward, his emerald eyes fixed on Orbot as he spoke.

"Hey, Orbot, how's it going?" asked Sonic.

"The ARK's is stable, but we don't have much power left. You have to help us get rid of this core before it self-destructs," Cubot replied.

"How are we going to do that?" Sonic asked.

Orbot gestured toward the core monitor screen, which showed the core's status: "The core is still powering down, but it isn't completely done yet," he explained. "We've only got about 19 minutes before it shuts down completely."

"Okay. What do we need to do to make sure that happens?" questioned Sonic.

"Well, we could try to remove the core," suggested Orbot.

Cubot nodded in agreement. "Yes. We need Shadow to help us out,” he said.

Sonic glanced over at Knuckles. His friend was staring at the screen with an intense look of concentration. "What do you think, Knux? Can you take care of the core and use the Emerald?"

Knuckles thought for a second and then replied, "Yeah, I think I can."

Amy entered the room with a scorned look on her face feeling useless for playing Bejeweled Blitz for a long hour. She hated being left behind.

"So, Amy, have you finished your game?" asked Eggman.

"Why do let me play this stupid game when I was trying to help? I could have been more useful than just sitting here and doing nothing! Besides, everyone else is supposed to be helping, too! Why am I only getting treated like this?!" complained Amy.

Eggman shrugged indifferently. "Because you're not an actual member of our organization, remember? It doesn't matter what you do outside of work."

Amy growled.

"We have no time to waste. You have to get Shadow," said Orbot.

"Okay, I'll go talk to him," said Sonic.

"Are you sure, Sonic?" asked Tails.

"I'll go with you," said Amy.

"No, Amy. You stay here," said Sonic firmly.

"But--"

"No, Ames. I've got this. You stay back with them, alright?" Sonic pleaded.

Amy frowned, but she reluctantly nodded. Sonic stepped out of the control room, leaving Amy alone with Orbot and others. He walked past the corridor leading away from the main chamber, heading deeper into the facility. He came to a halt and opened the door to see Shadow staring at the window with his crossed arms over his chest. Sonic entered the room and tried to talk to Shadow.

"Shadow," he called out.

Shadow didn't turn around, he could see the reflection of Sonic in the window. "Go away, Sonic," he muttered.

"Come on, bro. You know I won't leave you alone if you aren't talking to me," said Sonic.

Sonic walked toward Shadow, hoping that his counterpart would understand what he was about to say. He stopped a few feet away, unsure of how to begin. He took a deep breath and looked Shadow in the eyes, his expression serious.

"I know you've had some disagreements in the past, but I need your help. I need you to believe me. Shadow, we're a team," Sonic said, his voice filled with concern. "We've been through too much together to let something like this tear us apart."

Shadow finally turned to face Sonic, his crimson eyes burning with a mix of anger and pain. "You don't understand, Sonic. You can't possibly comprehend the weight that I carry."

Sonic took a step closer, his emerald eyes reflecting his determination. "Then help me understand, Shadow. Talk to me. Tell me what's eating you."

Shadow clenched his fists, the tension in the room growing thicker. "I've spent my whole life fighting against the darkness within me. I've embraced my past, my pain, and turned it into strength. But lately, it feels like I'm losing that battle. I can feel the darkness creeping back, consuming me from within."

Sonic listened intently, his heart aching for his friend. "Shadow, you're not alone in this. We're here for you, every step of the way."

Sonic clenched his fists. "Tell me what happened during the invasion, Shadow. Wasn't there some kind of plan to end it all?"

Shadow closed his eyes, his head bowed, his brow furrowed. "It's none of your concern, hedgehog. And why bother do I have to help you? Just go and fix things by yourself."

Shadow walked past Sonic, bumped into his shoulder, and pushed past him as he headed toward the exit. But Sonic stopped him, reaching out and grabbing his wrist.

"Shadow… please," Sonic pleaded.

Shadow released Sonic's grasp, "Let go of me!"

As Sonic's grip tightened on Shadow's wrist, both hedgehogs locked eyes, their expressions filled with frustration and hurt. The room seemed to buzz with tension, their emotions palpable.

"Shadow, you can't just walk away," Sonic said, his voice tinged with desperation. "Please, we have to the best of help."

"Why the hell should I trust you?!" Shadow shouted angrily, wrenching his arm free from Sonic's grasp.

"Because you promised! What about the promise made to Maria and her wish?! Don't you want to fulfill it!? Do you, Shadow?!" yelled Sonic.

Shadow growled angrily, baring his fangs as he glared at Sonic, and threw himself at the blue speedster.

"Don't you dare say her name!" roared Shadow. "I don't need to hear your voice saying her name again! I told you that I wasn't interested in stupid friendship! But you wouldn't listen!"

Sonic reacted with his emotional pain, and Shadow continued.

"I just... I just can't stand it anymore. All these years the one thing I wanted was to protect her, I wanted her to live! She pushed me to the pod, locked in. I was trying to save her, but I failed! I couldn't save her! I couldn't fucking save her! All because I couldn't even save her, then she was murdered! I was so helpless that day....and yet she still wanted me to promise to protect humanity..." Shadow shed those tears from his eyes, and Sonic's eyes welled up the tears.

"Even if I could have saved her, I couldn't have prevented her death! And now I have to live with the fact that it was because of me that she died!" Shadow gritted his teeth, his tears flowed freely down Sonic's face.

"I... I couldn't save her and now she's gone. She's gone, she's gone! Oh, God..." Shadow sobbed.

Sonic stood up and hugged Shadow, the ebony hedgehog clinging onto him desperately, burying his face in his shoulder. Sonic rubbed his back, whispering words of comfort.

"Shhh. I know, I know. It's alright, bro. I've got you. I'm right here. Nothing bad's gonna happen. I promise. Everything's gonna be fine," whispered Sonic, soothing Shadow to calm down.

'He had so much pain in his past. Maria lost her life because he was unable to protect her,' thought Sonic.

Sonic hugged Shadow deeply while stroking his back, letting him know that he was there for him. Eventually, he felt Shadow relax slightly against him. After he calmed down, Shadow wiped his tears away with the backs of his hands.

"Better?" he asked.

"Yeah. Sorry for being riled up," apologized Shadow.

Sonic shook his head. "Don't be. It's okay to cry. Nobody blames you or thinks less of you for it. They know you're hurting inside. Just don't blame yourself."

Shadow gave him a slight nod. "Sonic?"

"Yeah?" he responded.

Shadow stared at him for a moment and Sonic wondered what was going on with him.

"What?" asked Sonic innocently.

Shadow kissed Sonic on the lips, and Sonic's eyes widened. Then he closed his eyes and kissed him back passionately. Sonic's heart raced as he felt Shadow's lips against his own. He felt a warmth spread from his chest and knew that he had finally found the one he had been searching for. His hands moved to Shadow's waist and he deepened the kiss. His heart pounded as he explored Shadow's mouth, feeling the intensity of their connection and the love they shared.

'He kissed me again. Just like back in the jungle,' thought Sonic.

Shadow pressed his lips to his and his hands explored his body eagerly. He felt a thrill of excitement as his strong fingers caressed his athletic body. He pulled him closer, deepening the kiss as he explored further. His touch ignited a passion within Sonic, and he felt a warmth coursing through his veins. He wanted him, and the intensity of his desire was almost overwhelming. Sonic wrapped his arms around his neck, responding eagerly to his touch.

Shadow laid the azure hedgehog down on the floor, and smiled down at him lovingly. He leaned down and gently kissed Sonic's neck, eliciting soft moans and gasps from the blue hedgehog. Shadow continued kissing along Sonic's neck, making his way lower until he reached his collarbone, raked his fangs across the sensitive skin beneath it, and then licked the spot. Sonic shuddered and let out a low moan, his hands gripping his shoulders tightly. Shadow felt a thrill of satisfaction course through him as Sonic leaned into the touch, and he continued his attentions, finding the spot that made Sonic squirm and moan with pleasure.

just finished watching sonic prime so why not share my thoughts on it? before i start rambling, i suggest you go watch it on netflix, it definitely deserves a watch.

Technicalities first (if i can call them that). So, judging as a viewer and not as a sophisticated critic who has read cinemtaography books, I’d say the show’s direction overall is pretty good. It’s nothing special but it’s pleasing and keeps you interested. The direction, the angles, the camera changes regarding placement and focus are well coordinated with the writing and each emotion each scene tries to convey. So, really, nothing new (i wasnt expecting a sonic show to make groundbreaking ways of storytelling through cinematography), but I believe it is worth mentioning because it plays a huge role on how one views the show. And there were many moments where I realized that a certain angle made the scene look more tense for example.

Animation! I think we all liked the bouncy styled animation, contrasting the hugely popular disney/pixar styled animation (which is good, dont get me wrong, but the animation tecnhique used in prime fits sonic a lot more imo). Also, the facial expressions are part of what made the show so great and enjoyable and I love how much emphasis they put on them, literally perfect. The details in animation, like the animalistic behaviours of sonic and co. and how they were depicted (ears twitching for example) are all very important and im glad they were implemented. And, I know a lot of us are focused on the facial expressions but we shouldnt forget abt the background as well. There definitely was attention to detail, details that were everywhere and completed the overall image of the show.

Music! the music is good what do you expect me to say like, oh that major g in the pirate scene made the scene look more tense but if it was a minor f it would make it a bit more sad and thus more fitting- no. the music was good. not surprised and props to everyone who worked on the music but i just dont think theres anything to add LOL.

Voice acting! Voice directing-wise? Really REALLY good, i wasnt expecting great performances but i was proved wrong and im happy about that. Now, for the main cast seperately? Devon has done an EXCELLENT job with his lines. His sonic voice is a combination of Roger Craig Smith and Ben Schwartz i believe but it’s also unique and very fitting for sonic, despite me not liking it at first. Brian as Eggman is meh for me, very good voice acting skills but i didnt like it that much. Ashleigh as Tails fit surprisingly well and idk why. Kazumi for rouge was a really good one, bringing rouge back to her sa2/heroes era and not the overly sexy and seducing voice she has in the games (i know its abt voice direction as well but yeah). big is meh, i dont like it. knuckles is pretty good tbh. and now, shadow the hedgehog. yes. ian did an excellent job voicing shadow and i LOVE LOVE LOVE his voice in prime, makes he’d sound like that in the games as well. i’ll stop now or i’ll start fangirling.

Characters! I like the characters and sonic’s crew. the way the show’s written so far though has made me care about the post-apocalypse characters more than the other shatterverses. like, i like them all, yeah, but i care more about nine and knucks and rebel. maybe that was the point. also,HHHH WHY NOT BLAZE? why not silver? hoping to see them soon but PIRATE WORLD? there was a purple cat and a brown raccoon there but it wasnt blaze and marine. lost opportunity. (and rouge should have been the captain in the pirate one fr fr)

And finally, writing. I’ve seen a lot of opinions these days. Here’s mine. Good characterisation. Yes, it might surprise you but the characterisation is actually good. for every character. including sonic. maybe in a different post i could talk about every character but for now, i wanna talk abt sonic. bouncy, energetic, talkative, honest, lively, adhd coded, cheesy sometimes, reckless, extroverted who wants to work on his own from time to time. this is actually sonic. someone who loves his friends but doesnt listen to them cuz he has no patience. someone who conveys his emotions with actions and puts words aside. someone who likes to lay back once in a while, but not when the whole world is broken to pieces. someone who wants to save everyone, puts everyone above him and his needs. someone who cant stop talking, making witty remarks and jokes despite the given situation cuz he never gives up and is always hopeful and optimistic. frontiers gave us a different view of sonic’s character but it’s a very different situation as well. yet, if you carefully compare the two, you’d see how much things they have in common and how prime! sonic is very well written.

overall writing is okay. characterisation is very good, interactions between characters are very good but some could have been better(some moments were too short for my liking), easter eggs, there are many and are greatly appreciated, many details, the recap of the prev episodes was really funny and clever but I feel like we were deprived of some great opportunities. like, eggman nega with eggman instead of the chaos council. thats just an example. and im not too salty abt it cuz it’s mainly a kids show and it shows. im glad that its enjoyable for adults like me as well though.

I'm not too big a Sonknux shipper (I don't really ship anyone with Sonic full stop) but for the sheer amount of Sonadow and rabid Sonadow shippers that popped up, I'm half tempted to create a 2:30 hour long Sonknux cinematic animation out of spite. It would be a quirky romcom with musical scenes which starts with Knuckles first meeting Sonic and ending with them kissing in front of the Master Emerald at their wedding.

i dont really have a problem with sonadow necessarily or people making jokes about them being gay in the new episode, i also went "🏳️‍🌈?" a few times while watching it. im mostly just annoyed that its everywhere at all times and so many people seem to have sonadow as their number one priority always and dont care about anything else.. like if you search sonic prime on here its just sonadow sonadow sonadow with not nearly as many posts about what actually happens in the episode or theorizing about what might happen next or even discussing sonic and shadows interactions beyond just going "omg sonadow!"... like is that really all you guys took from it? you dont care about anything else? just shipping? ok...

#and like i understand most of the sonic prime posting rn being about shadow and his interactions with sonic #because thats basically all this episode was. sonic and shadow running around #but again. most people arent even actuallytalking about any of it beyond the ship jokes. which is kind of annoying #also i kinda talked about this the other day but its so wild to me how sonic and knuckles are regularly doing the gayest shit imaginable #and most people dont care. but sonic and shadow have one or two gay moments every once in a while and the entire fanbase explodes #like im not saying you cant prefer sonic/shadow over sonic/knuckles #and im not trying to start an argument over which is better. i think the real answer is for them all to hold hands with eachother #i just dont understand why sonic/knuckles is so much less popular?#because in the actual games and comics and shows they have moments like this way more often than sonic and shadow do #but like i said most people dont really care. and when sonic and shadow so much as stand near eachother theyre suddenly canon boyfriends ??#if sonic and shadow did anything sonic and knuckles have done they would get like 10 times the reaction from it #and i know this for a fact to be true because people are currently shitting themselves over sonic carrying shadow #when sonic has carried knuckles multiple times before and barely anyone cared #like hello is everyone but me in some weird alternate dimension where shadow and knuckles have switched roles or something #sonic and knuckles are literally what people THINK sonic and shadow are i swear to god #asks #sonic prime spoilers

What Each Sonic Characters Are Like To Moon the Bat

Sonic: With Sonic, he and Moon bonded like if they were siblings. She laughs at his jokes and gives him any confidence boost if he was down, just like he did for her. Moon would even help Sonic with her Chaos Magic to make him a bit faster. Heck, they even enjoy having lunch with their favorite foods; Sonic with his chili dogs, and Moon with her chicken sandwiches

Shadow: Moon’s relationship with Shadow is somewhat neutral. They have a few things in common, like losing someone they’d cared about, can get very angry easily, enjoys coffee (Moon loves Frappuccinos), they’re both autistic, the fact they both have red and black colors. So yeah, neutral relationship

Silver: These two have a positive relationship. These two would look like the type that talks about fanfics about a series they both like with Moon making an illusion spell of how the fanfic would look like. They seem like the type of people that can make some fun entertainment for their friends and bring their stories and theories to life. They have their good moments

Miles “Tails” Prower: They’re like “big sister, little brother” type of friendship. Moon helps out Tails with his machines and always ask curious questions on how they work, and Tails is always happy to answer them. He enjoys how Moon is fascinated by science. Moon even tells him she loves zoology, biology, and astronomy. So they both can get their science on as their bonding time

Amy Rose: These two have somewhat of a good friendship. Moon would show Amy some magical spells and Amy helping Moon with her anger and how to deal with it. Moon would even show Amy that her Talistrum, Trixx, can be in the form of a hammer like Amy’s, so the two can spar each other with their own hammers. So I would say these two have their best moments

Rouge: The two would barely bond, but what they have in common is that they both love to collect things, especially gemstones. Moon would show her the stones she’s collected over the years and tells her about their secrets and history of them. Rouge would either be jealous of her collection, or she might steal them from her. If she did, Rouge better have strong wings to fly away. They even enjoy Sonic and Shadow’s relationship

Knuckles: Her and Knuckles’ relationship is somewhat normal. Knuckles would ask Moon to bring something to life so that he could be a stronger fighter. Moon would know if things would go too far, and if Knuckles gets hurt, she’ll know to cast a healing spell on him

Cream: These two are the definition of “big sister, little sister”. Cream would draw pictures of the two, and Moon would use her magic to bring them to life and make them play with each other. Like playing catch or having a tea party. Even sometimes, Moon would let Cream nap underneath her wings like a blanket

Vanilla: Moon always loves how Vanilla takes care of her, her daughter, and everyone else around her. She always tells her she’s a great mother and that she’s very kind to her. Vanilla would always say that anytime she needs anything, she could always ask her

Blaze: Blaze and Moon would make great friends. They would spar with each other, but like to show off their powers to see who would it impress more. And like with Rouge and Amy, Moon would show Blaze her magic stones and spell books and what they do and how to control the energy within them

Vector: These two are like father and daughter (or big brother and sister. Either way you wanna make it). Like if Moon’s wings were hurt, Viktor was there to hold her up and get her to safety and bandage her up. They both looked over their friends to always make sure they’re safe and can get any job done

Tangle: Again with the sisters. These two have can high energy and likes to play around with their opponents. Moon would even let Tangle use her tail to sling her around to get more speed when she flies. Spoiler alert, she kept almost crashed into a lot of trees

Whisper: These two have a good friendship. Moon would listen to Whisper whenever she has a problem or just wanted to talk, and Moon would always think of a solution for that problem or to cheer her up

Espio: These two have a neutral bond as well. These two trust each other enough to share some secrets about their powers/abilities. Like him showing his ninja skills while Moon shows her own cloaking powers. These two have a good bond

Sticks: They bond they have are odd. Whenever Sticks have a conspiracy theory, Moon would always backs her theory up. Like “planets aren’t real. They’re holograms being projected by aliens”, then Moon would say, “Wait, wouldn’t that mean that we could also be holograms of extraterrestrial beings?”. And then the conversation would keep going until someone breaks it off

Big and Froggy: Moon with Big and Froggy have a calming friendship. Whenever she gets bored, she relaxes with Big and fishes with him and see if she could catch anything

Jet: These two have a frenemy type of relationship. They would get at each other’s throats and someone like Wave would have to break the fight up. Occasionally, Moon would knocked him out before he could at least expect it for annoying her. She and Sonic would always chuckle at that

Eggman: Like any villain and hero moments, these two hate each other. Whenever Moon sees her friends in danger or if he insults her, that’s when she goes into “beast mode” on anything Eggman throws at her. And because of this, he’d get a bit terrified of her. I mean, do you want to get pummeled by an angry Chaos Magic welder that has a staff that can turn into a different weapon? Yeah, I think not

Let’s start off with the name of the issue, Fallen Angel. Like I get it for what it’s trying to convey for the story. But it’s getting real heavy handed with the Biblical references for Knuckles. He basically was Jesus Christ given how Ken Penders was writing him at the time and how he was, like, the best all-around and everyone should totally worship the ground he walks on and jerk him off when he commands it.

Here in this issue, he’s pretty much God with the power to do anything. Surprisingly this wasn’t written by Ken Penders. This is during the Ian Flynn Era of writing. However, I’m sure Ian had a reason to write this story. No one really liked the direction Ken was taking Knuckles because there really was no reason for Knuckles to super mega awesome with a convoluted backstory. Though I’m sure Ken got stiff hard when seeing this. Or mad at it or maybe both. (Take note I’m mostly going to be riffing.)

But anyway, Knuckles-God descends from the heavens to tell his fellow friends he’s here to bring them The Rapture by getting rid of the greatest sin of all. That sin being technology. Sally on other hand scolds Knuckles-God for pushing his version of their religion onto them and says God made Mobians in his image. But he fires back saying what image would that be. A chipmunk, a blue hedgehog, or a fat purple cat. A flustered Sally can only weakly reply technology is not a sin and has done some amazing things for the world.

Nicole tries to tell Knuckles-God how technology can be a good thing as it has given her life and the ability to interact with her friends she couldn’t before as a handheld device. Julie-Su explains how during his Messiah stage he brought harm and suffering with all the power he had.

But after hearing all that coming from his friends. Knuckles-God has the most disgusted/disappointed expression. He realizes they’re deep in the sin of technology and there’s no saving them.

With his powers he says he’ll make an example out of Julie-Su and show her his way is right. (If Knuckles-God had a son. He’ll do to her what they did to him) Sonic dives downwards and spin dashes Knuckles-God in the head and saves Julie-Su from her fate. Sonic tells the Lord he shouldn’t force his ideals onto other people and that its completely fine for them to worship other deities as it’s not hurting other people.

After handing Julie-Su to Mighty. Sonic prepares to fight against God because why not. Not the first time Sonic fought against a higher power. Though suddenly out of nowhere Shadow appears and punches Knuckles-God in the face. Shadow heard Knuckles-God was going to purge the world of sin that technology provides. Which he can’t not let happen as he’s going to be the president of H E double Hockey sticks.

Hearing this angers Knuckles-God to the point he sucker punches Shadow through a building. He then catches Sonic in ring of energy and Sonic starts mocking him about his name. Resulting him to be thrown into the same building Shadow is in. Who is face deep in the books. Shadow takes off his inhibitor rings as he needs to protect concept of sinning, or he can’t be president of Hell. (Though I’ll admit that’s a little extreme even with what Shadow says in the previous panel.)

ALL HAIL SHADOW!!!!!!

And Shadow gets his ass kicked. Our president everybody! Sonic spin dashes Knuckle-God in the back of his head. When turning around, Sonic is surprised at what he’s seeing.

Sonic’s words fail him and soon to be President Shadow urges Sonic to not lose his resolve. Sally declares how she, the Freedom Fighters, The Chaotix, and the citizens of the Mobotropolis are with him and will attack God which will have no repercussions for them as he’s not their God. Knuckles-God on the other hand is getting tired of this. (To be serious. What the hell Sally? Knuckles is a god with limitless power and you’re having the citizens of your city fight?!)

Knuckles-God easily stops them by encasing everyone in energy and goes on about how all of his friends disappointed him. Believing they would accept his offer to purge the sin of technology. He was going to be gentle with his friends and the city. But now all of them will burn with holy fire along with the rest of the world. Sonic tries to reason with him by saying this isn’t who he is, but it falls in deaf ears and Knuckles-God rebuffs how the world is deeply corrupted and he will clean it with the power he has.

But just then. The atheist Doctor Eggman comes in with his large Egg Fleet. He tells the supposed ‘God’ how he’s a scientist and thus doesn’t believe in God or any beings of higher power. But if he sees someone having great power, he simple must have it for himself. So, from his ships he fires lazers at Knuckles-God. However, this lazers don’t hurt Knuckles-God but instead teleport him away into Eggman’s new Egg Grapes. Where he can sap the energy out of him.

Eggman leaves the Freedom Fighters so he can watch his Egg Grapes drain Knuckles-God dry of his energy. Sonic turns to Sally ask her if she already has a rescue plan in mind. Sally isn’t actually sure they should rescue their friend as it means releasing him back into the world. Before more could be said a Warp Ring appears and two hands reach out of it and grab Sonic and Julie-Su and then pull them in.

It’s revealed it was Locke and he wants their help with the current matter they’re facing. He explains The Brotherhood made a weapon for this occasion in case this ever happens again. Sonic reassures Julie-Su that this weapon will help bring Knuckles back normal. But Locke corrects the hedgehog. Saying how this weapon was made to kill those who pretend to be God. Knuckles, his own son, will meet this fate for daring to claim such a title for himself.

(In the next two parts I will be serious. I just wanted to do this riffing because it was super dumb this is how Knuckles was being written at the time and Ian Flynn just added to it by having Knuckles be a god. But I like said earlier in the post I’m sure he had a reason. Working with something bad to make it good later on.)

Sonic Frontiers is Segas love letter to fans and a come back to what gaming used to be (At least so far...)

I love Sonic, but I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that the past decade or so has not been good for Sonic ever since 2006. Sonic in recent years has been notoriously memed upon for making empty promises and delivering in failure almost every time. With every installment of a new 3D Sonic game carrying promises of going back to its roots, to surpass the adventure series, etc... Only for those promises to be completely empty, void of any content that seemed to carry that promise or at the very least made that promise believable. Look back to Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Sonic Forces, each of them flopped or at least never met up to expectations Each new iteration butchering what once were great characters, and making them shells of what they used to be. Knuckles for example has been reduced to a thick headed and rather naïve individual completely contrasting how he has been portrayed from older games.

Or how self aware they are to how “Cool and Edgy Shadow is”

Again, I love Sonic, but I’m aware of the flack the community gets for simply representing sonic as a loved franchise, usually met with cringe perceptions, OCs and the likes (To be fair I think almost every franchise has these things, but its not nearly as bad or well known as Sonic lol) But those predisposed conceptions aside, I can never devalue what Sonic has done not just for me growing up but for the era of gaming itself. Sega used to be a contender against Nintendo in the console wars, Sonic being the counter part towards Mario. But as time progressed and technology for gaming evolved, Sonic more and more became a character that would not stand as a rival to nintendo, what with the failing of the Dreamcast console (My personal favorite console of all time imo) Although the Dreamcast had failed, The Sonic Adventure series cemented the character into something much bigger and better than a contender to Nintendo.

Sonic was already iconic but now with the adventure series, Sonic was now iconic in the 3D realm of gaming, releasing banger after banger with SA2, Sonic Heroes, and well..... that's kind of it :(

Its sad to say, but Sonics reign in the 3D era of gaming was very short lived, as soon after the notorious Sonic The Hedgehog (Sonic 06) would come out as the debut game for most Xbox 360 players, it failed miserably. I’m sure I don’t need to preface what those misgivings were, as this isn’t really a post meant to analyze this but more so a genuine hype post for what could be a great Sonic game, so if you want to see those flaws you can find it HERE But while I say SA2 and Heroes were the only real good 3d sonic games, I mainly meant it as a game that is widely accepted as a great 3d sonic game, Generations, colors and unleashed are enjoyed but not without its flaws which steered people away from completely enjoying it. At this point Sega plunged Sonic into a confusing mess of mediocrity with games like

Not to say I didn’t enjoy these, I genuinely enjoyed Riders and Black Knights, but what these game did is lead Sonic into a continuity mess. What people wanted was either a continuation of the Adventure story line (Which both Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog did) or a completely new 3D Sonic game with elements of the Adventure series with it. But instead, time after time we were given none of that, more than a decade has passed, and what Sonic seemed to have been reduced to was simply a mascot entirely kid friendly that made its money being an avatar for the balloons and hats at a kids parties (This is an exaggeration obviously....sorta)

At this point, calling a soon to be released Sonic game trash, or even sonic itself isn’t anything entirely new to the franchise, I’m sure if you look in the right places you’ll see it People complaining about how constantly the Sonic franchise has failed, and how Sonic adventure was the peak for the series, ridiculing and trashing a new Sonic game before its release, etc... However recently Sonic has returned to the limelight in the strangest way possible

I believe it was these movies that spurred the creation or at the very least how much thought is being put into the newest installment to the Sonic Franchise (Sonic Frontiers) With the success of the 1st movie, its possible Sonic Team put their foot down and decided to get their ass in gear for what some are saying could be the biggest Sonic comeback of all time

A year later, Sega drops a very short teaser of Frontiers

I have to admit, at first this TEASER frustrated me

Perhaps I’m spoiled and was used to the massive content dump that Nintendo dropped on us last second as they do with every one of their reveals, but I was expecting something a little more than just a 30 second clip of Sonic running.

I sat at my screen, stating “what a waste of time that was”

But I was curious, hesitant for sure but genuinely curious, at the very least what was shown seemed to be.... different?

You see, unless you’re a notorious gaming title like Final Fantasy where you show a simple 30 second clip with no content would you be able to garner hype and expectation much like Square did with the FF7 Remake teaser back in E3 of 2015.

While Sonics failure is what most fans currently knew it as, it was strange for Sega to do this, normally I would think that in order to gain the most attention possible for a franchise that is widely doubted on, they would need to show more of the game to sell, but something about what they did struck a chord with me that made me curious to see where it was going, but I was genuinely expecting it to flop like the rest.

A year later and we get a NEW TEASER of some gameplay of Sonic Frontiers, at this point we know that Frontiers is an open world game much like Zelda Breath of the Wild, definitely a point of interest for me not to mention that the graphics and presentation are very beautiful. At this point, the game seemed interesting enough to warrant trying it out, but I was still on the thought that this game will more than likely flop but I would at least try it as it is a new genre that Sonic is delving into (Open world)

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that one of the biggest and recognizable things in the 3D era of sonic is that it had amazing music, but their lyrical songs stood the test of time forever.

As cringe as Sonic became, songs like City Escape, Live and Learn, His World, etc... were extremely iconic to an era of where Sonic was an enjoyable franchise

After Sonic 06 while the newer games had good music, I can’t say they struck the same chord with everyone much like the Adventure series did.

However, on September 8th 2022 Sega released the OPENING of Sonic Frontiers and it was WIDELY accepted

“Regardless of how Frontiers turns out “I’m Here” and “Vandalize” are phenomenal songs that fit Sonic remarkably well.” - Yearlong Fi-Sci

“I don't want to start any arguments about "eras" but to me, this song is exactly what Sonic...Is. Triumph, heroic, high action fantasy. It makes me so happy to hear a Sonic song like this in this day and age.” - Doctor Minjinx

This game is gonna give off early 2000’s vibes, I can tell. Sonic hasn’t been this badass since his unleashed days - Lil XancheX

I’ve had this song on loop since I started writing this post haha Not only did the song sound great but it was lyrically powerful with dark and mature undertones for a franchise that is mostly geared towards the demographic of children. Something about the choice of its style called out to me that Sega or at least the team behind this games production is trying to get the attention of older Sonic fans with a title like “I’m here” and the style in which the song created itself from. The song itself as Lil XancheX commented gives off early 2000s vibes which further adds to the thought that this game is more and more starting to feel like Sega is making an attempt to reach out to Adventure fans of old. The song alone made me very excited for the games release, what once used to be doubtful expectations became genuine anticipation as more and more content is shown/teased to us.

At the time of writing this post, Sega had released an ANIMATED PROLOGUE to Frontiers starring Knuckles the echidna. And besides how well animated the prologue was, what stuck to me the most was the characterization of Knuckles and how it harkens back to the Sonic 3 and Adventure era of Knuckles. In Adventure and here knuckles is introspective and alone as he usually is, not extremely air headed or expressive as he has been in recent titles, but as he always has been in an era where Sonic was loved. “I do things on my own, that's just how I like it, I don’t need anyone else to get by...but sometimes” - Knuckles As much as I want to gush about the references the prologue makes to the adventure series, with the chaos, Tikals light, Sky Sanctuary and the flashbacks of Adventure, I believe I made my point regardless

I truly wish I had more concrete things to say that could solidify this game as genuinely good, but unfortunately the game won’t be out until next week ^^; I just wish to preface that I am not trying to say that Sonic Frontiers will be the next best thing, or that it will even be a good game void of the flaws of previous sonic games. But I’m hopeful for it. From its first teaser all the way to the animated prologue we received today I’ve found my excitement and anticipation grow more and more, with each reveal/teaser leaving more to be desired with a great delivery regardless of that. The game looks beautiful, music already sounds great (Which is to be expected of a sonic game) and the story line seems interesting and compelling which is a big win for me. And looking back, this is what I missed about gaming. I can’t remember the last time I was anticipating any small bit of detail of a soon to be released game, filled to the brim with references and quality content, created with what I believe to be utmost care to fans of new and old alike, BUT ESPECIALLY OLD LOL This may just be an old man rambling, but I personally feel that this current age of gaming is extremely stale, with nothing new coming out that is genuinely worth being excited about But a sonic game??? SONIC?! Of all games, Sonic is the one that is making me feel the excitement I longed for in gaming for what felt like an eternity? The last time I was anticipating a game with trailers and what not was Nier Automata and if not that then Final Fantasy XV (13 Versus for the old men and women out there ;) ) Again, I’m not trying to make such bold claims that Frontiers is going to revive the Sonic franchise, but the hype and attention it is garnering is undeniable. The methods in which the Sonic Team is using to promote their game, referencing the beloved Adventure series, with music and characterization of Sonic from early 2000s era is Sega sending a love letter to old fans, the greatness that Sonic fans have been asking for ever since the failure of 06, and the methods in which they’re revealing the games story line, gameplay, music is something I haven’t seen a game do in a long time, much less a Sonic game. I tip my hat to the folks at Sega and Sonic Team, whether the game flops or succeeds... I acknowledge, respect, and genuinely love the amount of effort being put into the games promotional content. It has been so long since I was able to feel the heart and soul behind a production, the care and attention to detail that goes into an already loved franchise.

This is a part of gaming I’ve missed so much, this is a part of Sonic that I’ve missed so much.

Needless to say, I already pre-ordered the deluxe edition of the game, and I can’t wait to see what the game is going to be like next week This post was made in the spur of the moment of my excitement so perhaps I may look back at this and cringe, but the feelings in this very moment are true and feelings I don’t feel too often, Its moments like these I live for in both gaming and anime, and I hope that I am able to experience many more like it again. I understand your frustration with the movies and how much they skip over, but you have to look at this from the production and financial side. Each new film lives or dies based on the last movie's success. They don't know if this movie will be the last, so they got to speed things along and hit the high points so the popular characters have their chance on the screen. And to continue to draw viewers and fill seats.

Movie 1 was about Sonic, the poster boy for the franchise and the most well-known, to draw in people and fill seats so the next film could be greenlit. Movie 2 was on Tails and Knuckles, the number two in popularity to draw in people and fill seats so the next film could be greenlit. And the same song and dance are happening for 3. Shadow is an extremely popular character; the focus is to draw in people and fill seats. (so the next movie could be greenlit if they plan on it, but we don't know about that.)

Tikal and Chaos could draw many people, but Shadow will attract a lot more, and you know it. So, this gives them the highest likely hood of the movie being a success.

And think about it. If movie three does well, we may get a fourth movie or even a series, and THEN they can do Tikal and Chaos story. But if they did Tikal and Chaos NOW and it doesn't draw enough people, that's the end of Sonics cinematic career, and Shadow would never get to the big screen.

Would you rather see Tikal/Chaos and NOT see Shadow? Or the other way around? You may prefer the former, but many more people want the latter. Shadow is a much bigger name and will fill a lot more seats in a theater.

1) they can still space out the movies and characters without wiping out everything that makes sonic sonic. the first movie did NOT have to only have sonic in it. tails is a beloved character and usually when people think of sonic, they think of sonic and tails. my mother doesn’t even like sonic and doesn’t know anything about it but even she was disappointed that the first movie didn’t have tails in it. there was no reason to make it only have sonic when they could have easily centered the movie around eggman, sonic, and tails. i could give you a movie idea right now.

2) metal sonic & amy ARE popular characters. Amy’s literally a core character to the series. she was in sonic frontiers. if you move from the movies to the games, you wouldn’t know who she is even though she’s one of Sonic’s longest and closest friends. she’s important to the series. and metal sonic was in the fucking ova. he’s the og sonic rival other than knuckles. they should have appeared before shadow. amy and metal sonic would have been enough to draw people in.

3) but okay, fine. sonic cd might not be enough. they still could have done an sa1 adaptation. the perfect chaos boss fight would have absolutely interested people into watching it. it’s badass. it makes sonic look serious and not just a kiddie series. it would draw in older audiences who liked the games. it’s one of the most important sonic games in popularity and lore. they could have definitely used that as a stepping stone to introduce Amy’s character. she has an interesting and influential role in that game. if she couldn’t be introduced in cd then she should have been introduced in sa1.

an sa2 adaptation without having properly established amy in it feels at best misguided and at worst down right malicious. sexist. confirming shadow before amy is still a dick move even if shadows more popular.

4) if they want to make future movies, they shouldn’t be jumping the gun on shadow so fast. they should have BUILT to that. people do like shadow, he’s a very popular character. but they jumped way too fast on him. they only have three sonic characters in the series (sonic, tails, knuckles). they definitely could have established a few more before roping shadow into it. like, how do you backtrack and bring metal sonic back into the series after introducing the “ultimate lifeform”. shadows a very popular character but sa2 is a HUGE story to adapt and they won’t be able to give Amy justice if they cram her in there. it’s not fair to her. shadows literally just a cash grab and that’s simply not fair, and it’s simply wasting his potential.

5) they likely won’t do a sonic adventure adaptation. they are playing very fast and loose with the sonic lore, to what i think is their own detriment. longclaw already played the part of perfect chaos by wiping out Knuckles’s clan. they honestly don’t have a reason to go back and do an sa1 adaptation. and if they do, i honestly don’t think it would be good. it wouldn’t be necessary.

6) undoubtedly i would prefer chaos and tikal to a rushed, bad skip to shadow’s story where amy still isn’t even confirmed for the movie.

I know this is old, but I'd really love to see you expand your Ringranger concept from a while back.

So OK, I realize this has been sitting around my inbox for a bit longer than I intended? But that's only because, well, I also would love to see me expand my "Ring Ranger" concept from a while back. XD So I figured I'd take the time to offer up some of the details I've had mulling around in my brain for the last couple years about the idea. Check 'em out under the cut!

In my head, this is basically the Theme Music.

As originally conceived, my intent would be to use Humanized Versions of the "Sonic" cast, even as the one pic I've done of the idea thus far uses the original Furry/Mobian designs. x3

We'd have two Teams of Ring Rangers, one Good and one "Evil" (but this is Sentai, so of course the Evil team would inevitably turn out to be Not That Evil and join the Good Team). The Good Team would consist of Sally (The Leader/Red), Sonic (Blue), Knuckles (Green), Bunnie (Yellow), and Amy (Pink), while the Evil Team would consist of Shadow (Black), Silver (Silver, duh XD), and Blaze (Gold).

The premise is basically What If SatAM But Super Sentai: the Great Mobian Kingdom, led by King Maximillian Nigel Timothaeus Acorn, reigned in peace for many years, serving to protect The Golden Power of Gaia, the God who created the world. But, seeking to take this power for himself, King Acorn’s military commander Julian Kintobor betrayed the Kingdom, using his machines to conquer the Kingdom and attempt to corrupt the giant Warp Ring which served as the gateway to and conduit for Gaia. His efforts were only partially successful; though he could not reach Gaia itself, Julian was successful in corrupting the Ring, spreading a terrible darkness across the land and transforming him into Robotnik The Imperious, a machine-monster whose cursed touch could transform anyone and anything into a mechanized monster at his command. This power did come at a price, binding Robotnik to the fallen Castle Acorn, but it also enabled him to create Robians out of innocent civilians and even ordinary machines to act as Agents of his will. But hope was not lost: King Acorn’s daughter Sally and a group of her most trusted friends and allies were able to escape Robotnik and went underground, beginning a Freedom Fighter movement to liberate the world from Robotnik’s tyranny. The key to their victory lies in finding and restoring the broken pieces of the Warp Ring, which in theory would undo the Curse. To this end, the team’s scientific ally Rotor created the Ring Spinners, special devices modeled after the original Warp Ring which can not only track the location of the fragments, but allow our heroes to tap into a fraction of Gaia’s power, transforming them into the Ring Rangers! But Robotnik is also intent on finding the Warp Ring fragments, and his mechanical abilities have allowed him to make Ring Spinners of his own....

Each Ring Ranger can summon their own special Chao through the power of the Ring Spinner. This Chao is bonded to them and acts as their partner, able to transform both into their Wispons (which draw on ancient spirits called Wisps to use their powers) and into their Golems, mechanized suits of armor which allow the Rangers to fight at giant scale. When the Rangers’ hearts are as one, both the Wispons and Golems can unite together into their ultimate forms, though not only is it hard to maintain the emotional balance needed to create and maintain these combinations, but the nature of the Rangers’ work is such that they aren’t always together to make those combinations happen in the first place.

That’s about as much of it as I’ve had mentally sketched out at this point. I dunno when I’ll get around to actually realizing any of it, but I thought you might appreciate knowing what I had so far, and I hope you like it ^_^

not that the celebrety actors have done a bad job in the sonic movies or anything-- idris elba's knuckles is fantastic, ben schwartz's sonic is great, and jim carrey's robotnik is downright iconic. but i really hope for Sonic 3 they get one of Shadow's past voice actors to play him. david humphrey, jason griffith, ian hanlin, hell i'd even take kirk thornton. im not gonna rage out if its another big name celebrity, i just...idk, i want the other voice actors to get the recognition they deserve. give mike pollock a voice cameo somewhere, hell have him play Gerald, idk, get roger craig smith to play a GUN agent doing his chris redfield voice, and yeah, get shadow voiced by an actor from the games (or ian hanlin, shadow's portrayal was one of the few consistently good things about prime). i love idris elba, and i lost my shit at that casting announcement. but part of me does wonder what it would be like if he had a more game-like voice. on the other hand when i found out colleen would be back voicing tails, i was ecstatic. it didnt rock my world the way finding out about knuckles elba did, but hearing a voice i grew up with on theater speakers? that was huge!

idk, it doesnt feel like as much of a cash grab as, say, the mario movie's cast-- the actors suit their roles extremely well, but i cant help but wonder what it would be like if i went into the theater, saw that sega logo, and heard jason griffith or roger craig smith talking through those speakers instead of ben schwartz

SHORT Sonic animation review from bad to good

ADVENTURES OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

I put this as the lowest, as I really get bored watching this. It's obnoxious and not funny

The low budget animation doesn't help. Robotnik is anoyying. 4/10

Sonic Prime

Wasted potential, having a multiverse story and you use the most boring ideas that was already boring when archie comics did it in the 90s. Eggman gets shelved to make evil Tails the villain. He's badly written. Don't even talk about Sonic's writing...the 2010s was the start of Sonic being lame (and if you want to pretend Sonic was cool in Lost World or Forces, im already convinced you're lying to yourself to pretend Sonic Team never does anything inconsistent, please, they are flawed writers consider the weird retcons they make) but PrimeSonic is so far removed from gameSonic that it's laughable and then there was the ending...

It means nothing, making you think what was the point of the series? The fact the showrunners said it was canon, shows to me that Sonic team doesnt care about the lore as much as the fans do. I could ignore all of that if the show was good or enjoyable ...but its not. Its boring and so generic. But Hey Shadow is atleast cool here. 5/10

Sonic Underground

This is honesty not as well made as Prime. But unlike Prime I don't get too bored watching this. The off model scenes are hilarious and some of the songs like the opening are ..pretty nice? Badly written? Yes, this was made to promote the Sonic adventure games and nothing on the show has anything related to Sonic adventure. Who is Manic and Sonia???Sonic's siblings? Sonic is a prince?! Wait is that Athair from the archie comics?...and Where is Amy and Tails? Wth went wrong here? But you know what, it's so bad its almost good. Series got canceled without a proper ending too. But I honestly hope to see a detailed history about how the heck this series was made. Probs more intreseting then the series itself

Sonic Boom

Based on the Sonic Boom spin off that bombed super hard and DIDNT add anything decent to the Sonic franchise. Except for this TV series.

The animation is nice, but god the opening is a blatant lie. It gives you the vibe that we get some action and adventures. But the show is just a Sonic comedy with friends. Sonic Is anoyying. Amy Rose is a different character all together but name and is changed into the smart mom type in the group. Why? Sticks character and comedy gag of being paranoid gets old fast. Arround this time, the Sonic games decided to make Knuckles into a dumb dumb. Boom decided to make that trait his only trait. Boom is partly responsible for me no longer liking Knuckles anymore lol. Eggman Is again just a joke character. The salvation this show has, is its stong comedy. It's jokes about media tropes, life and the Sonic fandom are spot on. The voice acting is pretty good too.👌 if you just treat it as a comedy/parody of Sonic you end up enjoying it more.

Sonic Satam

Ngl this show has not aged well. But for what it is, it's a fine show. Sally is an enjoyable character and her chemistry with Sonic is well done. The animation is pretty good for its time and low budget. The ost isn't bad either. Robotnik is a threat here! The message this show wants to tell is pretty good. The creators had good intentions. But there are other things that bother me. The French coyote is annoying as hell. Him being a coward stops being funny after ten seconds. Why is Tails demoted to a helpless child ? And Rotor takes his place as the smart guy who is a Sonic fan boy? Why ? He just isn't as interesting as Tails. This show would have been better of if Ben Hurt made this into his own ip. The series is so divorced of Sonic's game vibe and story. Making it a nice cartoon but not a Nice Sonic cartoon. Also ends on a anoyying cliff hanger. Making this series feel so incomplete. For what it is, it's a fine series.

Sonic X

Finally a TV series based on the games! A show i loved as a child but didnt age well. Tms is normally great with their animation series but Sonic x feels half assed. I renember reading in an aniway anime magazine that during the production of the show they decided to add Chris, a child character for the western kid audience. They kinda knew this wasn't going to be a hit in Japan, and they were right, because Sonic x had such poor raitings, its last season aired in other countries, not even in Japan.

The Japanese ost is good and for the most part it got the characters right, With some exceptions of Amy Rose being flanderlized and Eggman forgetting he's a bad guy at one point. Sonic is done correctly, a jerkass, impatient, taunts his enemies without being obnoxious, not super on physical affection and Hates staying in one place. He's not the modern cape-super hero as Sonic is shown nowadays. But Sonic x's issues is that outside of the episodes based on the games, most episodes in season 1 and 2 are a bore to sit trough. Chris adds nothing to the cast and his presence hinders the overall enjoyment of the show. (Not helping that Chris steals scenes from the characters in the episodes based on the games ) Most of the human characters are quite anoyying. (Outside of Topaz and Helen, the show missed its huge chance by not making Helen the main human child in Sonic X! Super lost potential there) the anime picks up by season 3 with a new arc and introducing Cosmo. It gets intriguing! Sadly Chris is back too (just why) but two seasons with mostly mid or boring episodes is just to long to sit trough to get to the good parts.

Sonic the movie/Sonic ova

The Sonic ova that was used as a pilot for a potential Sonic anime series in the 90s, sadly the vhs copies didn't sell well in Japan and the Ova remains at 2 episodes. I'm serious when I say: Too bad. Because this is the best Sonic animated thing there is! And the only Sonic cartoon I enjoy with a rewatch. (Which is depressing because Sonic has like 7 cartoon series and this 2 ova episodes is the best ones) The animation is a feast to the eyes, the ost is super good. "Look a like"" is such a yam. Sonic is at his best here, an impatient, rude teen, that doesn't save the day to be a superhero. But does it because he feels like it. (THANK you princess Sara) there is such a 90s vibe but it aged so well! Metal Sonic is cool as heck and we get Knuckles here too! Is this very canon to the games? Not really, it takes a different route from its story of its game Sonic cd. That being said, I don't care because for what it is, it's good! I didn't get bored any second. Is it perfect? No offcourse not, it still sucks that Amy Rose isn't present here, despite Sonic cd being her introduction. Would have loved it if Amy was here. I tried some digging but couldn't find any reason to why she was removed in place for Pricess Sara, I can only assume they added Sara to appeal to boys who like cute bratty anime cat girls? 🤔 I can't really think of any other reason why Sara is here. Eggman is at times silly too and him wanting to marry Sara who Is a teenage girl is an uncomfortable 'joke" but outside òf that, Sonic ova Is a super enjoyable anime. And the only Sonic title that I put on my lost as good animated video game adaption.
