Blanche and Andreas - THE BOREAL KŇ̵ͅI̴͓͛G̵͕̐H̴̲̎T̷̛̙͔̻ AND THE APOSTATE
forte (noun, fr.): the part of a sword or foil blade that is between the middle and the hilt. it is the strongest part of the blade
Blanche - the Pale Queen and the Boreal Knight both. At once a child of Mother White (The Sleeper In The Frozen Wood, Devourer of Thrones), doomed to be destroyed by the Boreal Knight -- and the Boreal Knight herself. A wreck in the sacred order, a fissure through what Must Be. She is the curse and the means to end it, the shore-breaking sea and the storm wall. She should not exist.
(she loved Andreas and they were separated. They have not seen one another in nearly ten years. She carries half his blade buried in her heart. She is in the cold north of England. She has become something beyond reckoning. She loves him still.)
foible (noun, fr.): the part of a sword or foil blade between the middle and point. it is flexible and lethal, but easily broken.
Andreas - the former Boreal Knight. The Apostate whose heart bled stains into a purpose once as pure as the night is black. Chosen to counter Blanche, he instead taught her the secret ways of his patron, avowed enemy of Mother White. He thought to protect her. He thought to make her powerful. He thought to free her. He has freed her.
(he loved Blanche and they were separated. They have not seen one another in nearly ten years. She kissed him in the Wood as the black hounds of ending ran unchained in the night. He dreams of her. He has abandoned his post. He has become something of surrender and opening. Desire is the great seal upon his soul. He loves someone else. He loves her still.)
(If she tears down heaven, he thinks he will be at her side.)

MENTAL ALCHEMY: THE SUN & THE MOON
MENTAL ALCHEMY: THE SUN & THE MOON
“If thou but settest foot on this path, thou shalt see it everywhere.”― Hermes When Michael Maier depicted Hermes Trismegistus with the sun and the moon he did so knowing this imagery would stir something within our subconscious. See, cosmic language isn’t a language of words. This is why psychologists oftentimes use dream interpretations as a way to help their clients get in touch with their…

THE WOOD
If thou but settest foot on this path, thou shalt see it everywhere.
Paths lead to three places:
To nowhere; back, in circles, to yourself; or into the Wood.
What is outside? Only the Wood. In the Wood, you are small, and you are not safe, and you do not matter. The Wood surrounds us and it goes on forever, back into an abyss of time and out across incomparable distances. What is in the Wood does not care about you, although if you step into their trails, they may take note.
And past the Wood? From whence the Glory shines?
The Wood goes on forever. There is no past the Wood.
But then from whence shines the Glory?
Past the Wood. Past the Wood.

For personal curiosity, would Edward ever top Andreas?
from Aria, who can answer for Edward: "uhhhh with a gun to his head? yes, because the man wants to live."
(Andreas would like to butt in and say fucking excuse you, not with a borrowed dick.)
here is a live image of the two of them:

campaign update!
sooooo Andreas had a total gender dysphoric crisis and managed, through an evolving dark spirituality and secret congress with a strange being from a lightless dimension, to finally achieve the truth. (from left to right)
He was this gorgeous sylph as a teenager with a sort of... unnatural allure that he wasn't aware of, and then his life was disrupted by the events of the campaign. Exiled, vengeful, and lost, he threw himself into perusing the dark, violently martial secrets of the Black Captain, an occult being of immense power.
That training, along with the natural tide of growing up, turned his body into something so masculine and powerful that he spent almost a decade in constant painful dysphoria without knowing that's what was happening.
It was only when he discovered a lost temple to Mithras in Rome (and the inhuman thing calling itself a "degenerate lord" locked away within), did he start to understand that he was suffering. He realized that it was in part a manifestation of how he related to the occult, and the secret world that seethed around him, as well as a longing for the years when he could be taken for a beautiful girl.
He stayed learning at the hands of that "lord" for four years, leaving behind the idea of wielding a sword in the name of his dark god, instead determining to take the blade into his heart. At the culmination of his journey, he ventured into a black otherworld to claim his true face and has finally achieved the androgynous, irresistible, almost hermetic essence that he'd so longed for.
His other face, the body he felt like such a crude stranger in, was left behind in darkness, forever forgotten among the stalking kings of that black dimension.
Anyway! Andreas! He is a he who also loves being a her, and even more than that, making people wonder.
