In before the update tomorrow
Here are my predictions/wishlist Stardew Valley 1.6 update! These range from "could happen" to "just let me dream":
Children aging past toddlerhood; gain ability to change their outfits
Another set of romanceable NPCs (eyeing Sandy and the Wizard particularly)
More post-marriage dialogue/events. Like an anniversary date
Festivals changing as the years go on. For example: after getting 8 hearts with Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian, maybe their band plays at the Stardew Valley Fair; the governor brings his wife to the Luau the year after you make the soup taste Delish
The ability to properly befriend certain NPCs like Marlon and Gunther
Separate screen to keep track of farm animals, similar to villager screen in the menu (helpful to me when I play a file I haven't logged into in a while and discover after 3 in-game days that I have sheep)
Non-binary farmer option
Please let me interact with the stuff in the community center I spent my whole file trying to fix
NPCs will repeat dialogue to you after you've spoken to them already during a festival to avoid the creepy situation of wandering around an event and not being able to speak with anyone like they've suddenly become statues and you're the only living thing left in town
Other bachelors/bachelorettes getting together after you're married (little bit of the old Harvest Moon rival system)
More NPCs that move to town the longer you live there, like Kent arriving in Year 2
Morris shows up every once in a while after you complete the Center just so you can appreciate how much you ruined this man's whole life. Or he experiences Growth from being in the Valley, whichever
Heart events occurring more than once. For example: replaying Abigail and Sebastian's gaming/RPG heart events; Leah can hold more than one art show to sell exclusive art; Elliot will have a new book for you to hear an excerpt from every year or so; help Penny teach the kids again; etc.
More ways to increase max health
Could I have a birthday please Mr. Ape ;_;
Fix the "Leek Surprise Gift" cutscene unlocked after Evelyn's special request so that I don't wanna crack George over the head afterwards just because I picked the dialogue option that would give his poor wife credit
Make George Nice To His Wife Every Once In A While patch
Option to fist fight certain villagers, either instigated by them when their friendship gets too low or instigated by you if you've just always hated them and wanna do something about it
At 10 hearts Jodi runs away to travel with Emily and Haley's parents because apparently no one on that street actually wanted to be a parent
Give me ten good reasons Willy can't adopt me

Jade and Floyd Info Compilation part 18: Riddle and Floyd
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jade says “Floyd caused a bit of a stir at our orientation,” and during Beanfest we learn why: Floyd explains that Riddle used magic to blast him through the air at their orientation. “All I did was razz him a little, and he just SNAPPED…next thing I knew, there I was, laid out on the floor. Jade burst out laughing when he saw me.”
Our introduction to Floyd during the main story involves him being excited to see Riddle, which is a common theme.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is not unusual for Floyd to tease Riddle about his height, and Riddle delights in the moment when Floyd is slapped by Eliza (“Let that be a lesson. It is folly to pick bridal candidates solely based on height!”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the events of Phantom Bride Floyd encourages Riddle to punch him a little as seeing everyone fight “got (him) in the mood to throw down”, but Riddle replies, “This is not the time nor the place!”
Floyd teases Riddle during Beanfest and says that if any monsters try to attack him then he will scare them off, but that is not what ends up happening: when the group is ambushed by Lilia, Jamil and others Floyd insists that they leave Riddle behind to keep the opposing team busy while the rest of them escape.
Floyd teases Riddle about not eating properly during the Halloween party (it is hinted that Riddle may have issues with food, similar to Azul), insisting that he eat dessert.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is not uncommon for Floyd to express concern over people not eating properly, which he also does for Jade and Azul.
Floyd says that if the dark mirror had selected him for Heartslabyul, there’s a chance he would have “squeezed” Riddle and taken over the position of Housewarden. (Deuce says “Please don’t underestimate our boss.”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Floyd seems to become disheartened when Riddle shuts him down: in a vignette where he grabs a book that Riddle needs from its shelf (where he intentionally put it too high up for Riddle to reach) he runs away with it, encouraging Riddle to chase him. Riddle refuses, saying, “What have I done to deserve this mistreatment?” and Floyd’s mood immediately crashes: he passes the book to Riddle and leaves. Riddle reflects, “I can’t tell if I upset him or if that was yet another of his mood swings.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jade asks if Riddle doesn’t actually miss it when Floyd isn’t in the mood to tease him and Riddle responds, “Certainly not. I rather like not being under constant attack.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is possible that there are times when Floyd intentionally makes Riddle angry for his benefit, such as when he teases a shivering Riddle during Vargas Camp (“Glad you warmed up”) and a disheartened Riddle who does not want to go home to his mother at the start of winter break (Trey: “Well, at least he’s got his moxie back.”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Floyd and Riddle may have more in common than Riddle would prefer to admit, though Floyd seems aware of it: Vil refers to them as “our pair of live wires,” and they both try to dive into the dark mirror during Spectral Soiree to go in search of the kidnapped students.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also both express frustration with the fine print of the invitation that explains the dress code required in order to pass through, and when the kidnapped students are discovered to not be in costume they both call them out for it, with Leona observing, “You guys are still mad about the Dark Mirror givin’ you the boot, huh?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Floyd and Riddle get each other presents catered to each other's interests, but pretend they are indifferent: Riddle gives Floyd a shoehorn that is engraved with an “F” but claims it was an afterthought, while Floyd gifts Riddle with a book band (that Riddle uses for class), though Floyd claims he just didn’t want it. Tumblr media
The infamous, so-called Spider-Society wasn’t nearly as…prestigious as you’d initially anticipated, after all the buildup that the alternate Miguel had laid down convincing you to join. Meeting so many other Spider-People was certainly as elating as it was stressful (honestly, you never thought that you would see as many of the same person at one time, multiverse theory be damned, much less the stark differences between the lot of them—it was a good thing that you weren’t allergic to rocks, because there sure was a lot of Peter). The majority of them seemed to come and go as they pleased, only turning up to HQ to report in occasionally or to share information about any new anomalies that may have cropped up in their dimension.
Oh, yeah, and the whole anomaly thing…combined with the canon events theory…there was a reason you’d focused on robotics and nanotech rather than physics during university. Being told that because of your involvement in the arachno-humanoid poly-multiverse (and Christ, Miguel needed to get a new name for that, it was just too damn big of a mouthful) you were basically guaranteed to undergo negative experiences that would drive most people into depression or madness didn’t…sit well. Although it was a slight comfort to know that virtually every other Spider-Person had gone through something similar to you in regards to grief, it still didn’t sit quite right with you—but perhaps that was the hero complex in you speaking. If I had just tried harder, been faster, put my life further out on the line…
Nevertheless, it did help you to relax slightly. Peter B. was infectious with his easy affection and lighthearted demeanor, cracking jokes and knowing just what to say to help you circumnavigate your awkward interactions with the others. His wife was about five months along, expecting their first child—a little girl they’d already decided to name Mayday after his deceased aunt. He introduced you to Jessica Drew, who herself was due to have a baby in seven months—she was cool and calm but had a lot of heart and humor, and you appreciated her honestly as much as her sincerity.
Some of the others were…quite a handful. You weren’t quite sure what to think of Hobie Brown, besides the fact that he was hilarious. You had the distinct impression that he was always watching you, though, dark eyes as scrutinous as your trigonometry teacher back in high school. You didn’t really want to think that he was waiting for you to mess up or something, but…he always seemed to know something more than you at all times and it made you just a tad uncomfortable. The quiet, observant sort like him often were the greatest troublemakers—his standing track record in his universe, which he claimed with no small amount of pride, notwithstanding. You liked him, you really did—he’d been nothing but kind to you during your brief introduction—but you couldn’t help but feel like he had something up his sleeve.
The rest were just as, if not more, colorful characters. The mind-boggling quantity of alternate Spider-People overwhelmed you after Peter B.’s tour, so after he herded you back to the cafeteria and helped you to unload your cart, he showed you the basics on opening the portals.
“Try not to use them in crowded areas—you don’t want a bunch of junk getting in the way. Or, you know, splicing into your body like a redshirt being beamed up. Type in the universe number here, enter the coordinates—looks like Miguel already saved your previous location as the default, so you can teleport directly from there to HQ whenever you need to—then tap this, and…voila! There’s a communications tab here, so you can contact LYLA or call any one of us if you ever need backup, or to report an anomaly.”
You nodded along, squinting in hopes that you could commit the motions to memory rather than have to ask multiple times how the damn thing worked—you were a roboticist, yes, and you could probably whip up a circuit out of cardboard, gum, and a lemon—but even this level of technology was beyond your paygrade. Miguel’s work was truly phenomenal, you had to give him that. (And…well. You didn’t want to wind up like a redshirt, either.)
You imparted him with another half-dozen cupcakes to take home to the missus as thanks for taking his time with you, dragged your cart through the portal back into the kitchen of your bakery, and as the maelstrom of mindfuck physics disintegrated into thin air within the blink of an eye as though it had never been there to start with…you sank against the countertop and buried your face in your hands.
This Miguel was different from your late husband, in countless ways that you’d been doing your best not to take notice of too closely. (Would it be considered rude to compare them? They were inherently the same person, just…under different circumstances.) But, at the same time, they behaved so similarly: that same low, even, soft-spoken cadence; those half-lidded eyes feigning disinterest but to hide the exact opposite after years of having any enthusiasm beat out of him as a child; the tension he always carried in his shoulders to hold them back, his chin angled up, his hands always ready at his sides, always ready to move at a moment’s notice (and those shoulders…you hadn’t been joking, asking Peter B. about the man’s dieting habits—he easily dwarfed your husband twice over, and you couldn’t help but wonder if it was intentional or whether it was due to whatever sort of spider abilities he’d inherited).
Even still, that was only the start of the differences. This Miguel was snippier, shorter-tempered, and mumbled as though he had a mouthful of something packed under his bottom lip all the time. He had a clipped walk like a panther, a long, stalking stride that made far too little noise for a man of his bulk. He kept his hair slicked back rather than allowing his curls freedom. His mildly unsettling carmine eyes were tired, and you were half-convinced that if he were to sit too long he’d likely pass out based on the way he hyper-focused on everything around him as though to compensate. His exhaustion was obvious, but maybe that only had to do with your familiarity of the canvas rather than the difference in hues and brushstrokes.
They said your name the same way, however. You weren’t sure how to feel about that.
By the time you pulled yourself together (because you had wept enough the night before and didn’t want a repeat incident—you’d probably tripled your water bill hunkering down in the shower to muffle your misery and you were not going to cry again, thank you very much) and made it back upstairs, the night had set in and plunged your apartment in total darkness. It was a bit odd, as in Earth 928B it had been about noon when you left, but you supposed that temporal unalignment was the least of your concerns.
Your cat, a silver tabby your husband had named Alba upon finding her abandoned as a kitten in the park, greeted you at the door letting you know exactly how late you were for serving her evening meal. You long-sufferingly doled out the kibble in the kitchen and watched her inhale it in less than a minute before coiling around your legs in a figure-eight once and retreating to her bed set in the windowsill overlooking the street below.
You shook your head with a sigh, trudging around to feed your other pet Horchata before retreating into your bedroom, stripping off your clothes as you went. You tossed them all into the overflowing hamper, stored the compact belt containing the technology housing your suit in your nightstand drawer, and slipped into the bathroom to wash away the flour and confectioner’s sugar. You carefully removed the not-watch (as Peter B. had been so kind to inform you that Miguel hated them to refer to it as a watch) and set it on the counter alongside the ring you wore on a delicate chain around your neck.
You wondered what this new Miguel saw in you, to want you on his top-secret strike team so badly. You weren’t exactly perky yourself. You’d laid out all your flaws for him, and yet he hadn’t even flinched. He’d only seemed agitated at your immediate refusal, if nothing else.
The next day passed in relative normalcy—you woke early to start work on your stock, had coffee with your aunt (who spent more time daydreaming about her doctor than actually sharing the report of her yearly physical, although everything seemed normal, fortunately), and opened up shop all before the sun rose. You dealt with all the catering and pickup orders as they came in and kept tabs on everything baking in the back while Maya dealt with the storefront. You dipped out at noon to get lunch for the both of you, listened to the police reports on the way, and breathed a sigh of relief that Nueva York managed to retain its peace for another day.
The afternoon crept by far more slowly, and by the time closing rolled around you got to share the news with your business partner.
“I’ve made a deal with a company to sell out our stock at the end of every day,” you told her while you swept and she dusted the countertops. It was ten ‘til but it helped to clean up before since she always went straight home once the sign was turned off. “It’s, uh…an all-day type-thing, and they needed extra stock in their cafeteria. I think it’ll help with keeping up.”
“Oh, that’s wonderful!” Maya exclaimed, smiling broadly with glittering eyes. “I always did hate seeing it go to waste since the donation centers never took all of it. Do you need any help packing it all up?”
“No, I’ve got it. It’ll only take a few minutes, and I can be the only one to deliver it. Kind of a hush-hush type thing.”
She quirked a brow, glancing over your shoulder as the bell over the door jangled. “So long as it’s not for the mafia.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m not working for the mafia. I’m not pretty enough to work for the mafia.”
“You don’t have to be pretty to work for the mafia.”
You turned to find Jess standing there with a lazy smile, dressed in sleek civvies. You swallowed. “Hey. I thought I was dropping all this off?”
“I’m in a bit of a time crunch,” she said with a smile, but you didn’t miss the subtle urgency in her eyes. “I’ll help you pack it up and get it there.” She nodded to your aunt. “How’re you doing today?”
“I’m just fine,” Maya beamed, coming around the counter. “Thank you for your business. What’s your name?”
“Jessica Drew,” the other Spider-Woman introduced smoothly, extending a hand. Maya shook it. “Your niece told me good things about you.”
“Oh, as she should!” Maya laughed, eyes twinkling. “I’ve been taking care of her since she was knee-high to a grasshopper!”
“And I think it’s about time for you to head home to take your meds,” you interjected, face warming as you set the broom to the side and moved towards the back to get her things for her. “Want me to call you an Uber?”
Maya scoffed quietly, casting Jess a look that screamed, ‘can you believe the nerve?’ “I’ll walk. I didn’t get all my steps in this morning.”
“Be careful, then.” You dipped into the kitchen, grabbed her purse, and reemerged to find them chatting about children—your aunt had a sixth-sense when it came to babies, and evidently she’d picked up on Jess’ glow. “I’ll see you tomorrow for supper.”
“Don’t forget to bring the pickled beets,” she reminded you, slipping into her jacket despite the sun still shining bright upon the pavement outside.
“Believe me, I won’t. They’ll never get eaten if I don’t deliver them.”
“They’re good for you.”
“I’m sure they are. But my tongue says otherwise.”
You waved her out, locked the door behind her, and flicked off the neon sign. You turned back to Jess, brow furrowing. “What’s wrong?”
“Under normal circumstances, we’d introduce you to anomaly-catching a little more gradually,” she responded, face schooling into business-mode, “but Peter B.’s out and Miguel thought he could handle it on his own. Again. I need backup.”
You nodded, already moving to shed your apron and the unnecessary outer layers that would interfere with the UMF. You slipped back into the kitchen to toss them into the hamper and, this time, she followed. “Do I need to be concerned about his evident tendency to jump in head-first without looking?”
“He’s been like this for as long as I’ve known him.” Jess began to type into her (not) watch. “He’s one of the most headstrong people I’ve ever met.”
“You’ll meet few others that are more stubborn,” you muttered without really thinking. You tried to hide your wince by tapping your belt to activate your suit. “Where to?”
The portal blossomed open, and Jess gestured towards it. “After you.”
You swallowed, eyed it for just a moment, then moved through the vortex.
It spat you out on top of a brick office building in a version of New York only slightly less futuristic than your own. The sheer noise of screaming in the streets below, both from humans and vehicle brakes alike, precluded the rumble of an explosion that rocked the infrastructure beneath your feet. You whipped around to the cloud of smoke that arched up into the dusky sky, the lenses in your mask automatically adjusting to locate the heat signatures of two individuals caught in a grapple amongst the flames.
“I’ve got a visual,” you told Jess as she emerged next to you. “Over there.”
“Let’s go. Looks like it’s already gotten out of control.”
The pair of you leapt off the rooftop, swinging out into open air. You watched a rapidly moving shape bulleted from the plume off to the left, and you could hear maniacal laughter even with the wind battering your ears.
“Oh, great,” you muttered, “we love the crazy-ass grenade enthusiast.” You jerked your head towards the crumbling building—the other heat signature had yet to move. “Go check on Miguel, I’ll track our escapee.”
Jess looked like she wanted to argue, but she only released a sigh. When it came to split-second decisions like this, there was never enough time to deliberate. “Be careful. Don’t get in over your head.”
“You got it.” You diverted to swing wide around a warehouse, setting a waypoint on the villain-of-the-week rocketing through the buildings. He was a fast bastard, but fortunately he had yet to start dropping bombs on the bewildered population below—that’s when things with the Goblins always got tricky.
Soon enough, you managed to pick up speed to catch up, and with a well-timed turn and tight swing you lunged for the glorified hoverboard. You connected, latched on to the edge, and the added weight caused the entire platform to dip and sway dangerously.
“Another little spider!” crooned the Goblin, banking sharply to the right in an attempt to knock you off with a light pole. The reverberating collision with your hip hurt like a bitch. “How lucky am I to have as many new friends with which to play?”
“Save it, Osborn!” you growled, using the momentum of his next whirl to get a knee up over the edge. You grabbed his ankle and dislodged his foot from the hook, cooling a loop of webbing around it and securing it out of place to hinder his balance. “If you’ll just make this easier on every one of us, that would be appreci—”
You should have expected him to slam his heel into your elbow, but in hindsight you’d thought him not nimble enough to outspeed you.
“But that would take all the fun out of the game,” he crowed, stooping down and planting a fist into your temple. Your vision swam and your grip loosened. “And teaming up two against one is hardly fair to start with!”
You gritted your teeth and grabbed the nape of his neck, wrenching him down towards you and flipping the board in the process. You managed to yank his other foot out of the stirrup and then the both of you were freefalling. You snatched the board with a web before he could reach it, slinging it at the nearest building and embedding it into the side.
Unfortunately, he decided to latch onto you, instead. With the talons built into his gloves, no less. Sharp pain pricked your thigh and side, respectively, and when you landed on a terrace all the wind was knocked from your lungs. The Goblin dug in deep, hefting you up and over his shoulder to throw you bodily over into the street below.
The next impact was softer than you expected. You blinked the tears from your eyes only to find that Miguel was the reason for it, the lenses of his mask narrowed dangerously at you.
“You shouldn’t have gone after him alone,” he growled, reaching out with his free hand to pierce the mortar with his claws and suspend you against the wall. You struggled to catch your breath, especially with his tight, unyielding grip around your waist. “That was stupid. This one could easily do a lot of damage, and—”
The squawk of the Goblin over your heads caused both of your gazes to snap upwards, watching through the bars as Jess kicked him down. Within seconds she had him webbed in place, face pressed against the iron, glaring down at you. His wrists were bound together over his head, and you caught the subtle movement of his fingertips against the device coiled around his wrist. The grind of stone, the hum of fission, and the flash of light all activated your senses.
“Mig—!” you started, head whipping to the other side. You grappled at his rigid form to wedge yourself into his side, blocking him from the glider that launched itself at him at full speed. You absorbed the blow, but the force of it knocked both of you from the wall and tumbled down to the street. Your vision blacked out briefly when you landed roughly on your side.
“Por los clavos de Cristo!” Miguel snarled, breathing harshly even as he scrambled up from the concrete. “Idiota!*”
“Imagine cussing someone out for keeping your ribs from getting caved in,” you wheezed, hearing the glider sputter. You twisted to squint up at Jess decommissioning the damned thing. “De nada, cabrón.**”
Miguel’s silhouette shaded your eyes as he kneeled next to you, lenses narrowed to slits, but the quiver in his hands as he reached out to you caught you by surprise. He carefully prodded your bruised side, retracting his touch instantly when you hissed.
“I’m fine,” you said, slowly sitting up with a low groan. “Just a scratch.”
“Hey!” Jess called, hauling the goblin over her shoulder. “Do you have the field?”
He didn’t move an itch, save to hover his hands over you as you clambered back to your feet. There was scarcely half a foot of space between you, his hunkered, hulking form blocking your view of much else beyond the glowing nanites highlighting his contours.
“Miguel!” Jess tried again, jumping nimbly down near you. “You all right?”
That finally seemed to break him out of whatever trance he’d been caught in, and you watched the tension return in full force to his body as he straightened to his full height once more. “Here.” He snatched the device from his hip and tossed it on the ground. She unceremoniously dumped the Goblin into the field, then moved over to pick up the glider. He didn’t look away from you, finally croaking, “That was reckless.”
“You don’t seem to have the Spidey-Sense,” you pointed out wryly, rubbing your ribs gingerly. “And it could’ve been worse.”
He brandished a pointed finger in your face, the hook of his claw gleaming with the UMF stretched over its surface. “Don’t,” he growled, “do it again. I mean it.”
You quirked a brow at him, despite knowing he wouldn’t be able to see it. You folded your arms over your chest so he’d get the message. “Don’t jump in by yourself again,” you returned evenly. “You’re not invincible either, Miguel.”
And he did look worse for wear. Now that your vision had cleared, you could see that he was favoring his left leg, the UMF along his shoulders was glittering as the nanobots attempted to stitch themselves back together, and the lens over his right eye was cracked.
“This isn’t about me,” he started curtly.
“It is, because you came here without backup.” You smacked his hand away and returned his previous gesture, fingertip centimeters away from his nose under the mask. “Don’t tell me you’re stupid enough to think that you could handle all this by yourself.”
His extended silence, grating and aggravated, was answer enough.
You rubbed your forehead and let out a heavy sigh. “Let’s just…finish this up, shall we? You need to get checked out.”
He tilted his head, and you had the distinct impression that he was scowling at you. “Since when did you become team leader?”
“Since when did you become so damned irresponsible?” you shot back.
Jess’ face slackened into shock, her eyes cutting away as she pursed her lips. She looked on the verge between laughter and wanting to leave immediately. “Opening a portal back to base,” she offered mildly, turning her back on the both of you for some illusion of privacy.
“Look,” you hissed, gesturing towards Jess and the Goblin, who was chuckling quietly to himself despite being caught in a rather humiliating predicament of being tied ass-over-head. “I understand that you’re the head honcho and that you seem to have your bluff in on everybody else in the Society. Most of them are terrified of you, from what I gathered yesterday. And I don’t know to what extent that you’re familiar with me, like you said, but I know you, too, Miguel. I know that you’d sooner eat drywall than admit you’re wrong, and that your head is harder than vibranium. I know that you always take on too damn much on your shoulders because you feel like no one else could or should have to handle it. But I swear to God, I am not going to let you run yourself into the ground. You’re just like…” You stopped abruptly, swallowed, then dropped your head to shake it in frustration. “...look. The whole reason you have these dozens of Spider-People recruited in the first place is to help you manage all this, not to pick you back up when you inevitably fall apart trying to carry it all by yourself. You’re not fucking Atlas. And if you’re going to be like this all the time, I’m not going to have any part of it. Comprendes?***”
He glowered at you for a long moment before his low, gritted tone reached you. “Comprendo.****”
“Great.” You thumped him in the sternum for good measure. “Now I’m sure there’s a long, drawn-out, laborious process of paperwork following this, so the sooner I can get it done and deliver the heaping pile of croissants I had leftover today, the better.”
You turned as the portal blossomed open once more, waving Jess off and slinging the Goblin over your shoulder, and marched right on through back to HQ, feeling Miguel’s eyes burning into your back the entire way.

Okay S O--
Tumblr media
I promise I'm updating my Moon Knight fic (Like A Virgin), but this is an idea that's been nagging me like Khonshu for a while now and I've finally decided to share it! But please keep in mind that it's just what it is: an IDEA. So I'm sorry if this sounds a bit messy/incomplete/all over the place (and there's a possibility that some things could be changed), it's literally just me rambling and I think it's actually a pretty interesting idea! And this turned out a lot longer than expected ;-;
At the moment, I also have no clue what I wanna do with this idea (or if I'll ever even do anything with it at all). But I, obviously, take all credit for this so please don't steal (or at least tell me if you got inspired and plan on writing a similar fic to this cuz I would totally read the F U C K out of it) 🙃
Anywhore--
So my idea is, basically, this: The story begins in Season 1 of Moon Knight and it mainly revolves around a romance with our one and only sassy baby boy, Steven Grant (and of course with some 🔥spahcy🔥 smut thrown in) ❤️
For Steven's love interest, I dunno if it would be an original female character OR a Fem!Reader situation going on, so for now we'll just refer to the love interest as MC (main character)
Now MC and Steven live in the same apartment building and are next door neighbours. They've also been dating for quite some time, but strangely enough Steven doesn't remember ever asking out MC.
Steven and MC are pretty much what is considered to be the "perfect couple". You can really tell that they love and care about each other a lot, but recently a rift has been slowly but surely growing between them. It all started when Steven has been mysteriously disappearing, sometimes for days on end with MC not being able to contact him and not knowing his whereabouts. It doesn't help that Steven doesn't know anything either which, obviously, is very concerning but MC really likes Steven a lot and (maybe quite foolishly) chooses to let the matter go. MC thinks that whatever the hell is going on, there is a good explanation for it and can be resolved once Steven is ready to open up.
But things only become much worse from there when Steven started to miss dates and other important events in his and MC's relationship. There are also some days when Steven acts very odd, being cold towards MC and acting as if he didn't even know who she is which obviously hurts MC especially when she continuously tries to help him and just wanting to figure out what's happening.
It eventually comes to a point when MC couldn't take it anymore so she goes to confront Steven about his behaviour. She is rightfully mad and confused, but nothing changes the fact that she's still very much in love with him and wants to properly work things out.
Once MC goes to Steven's apartment using the spare key she has, she is shocked to find a woman there (this is shortly after Steven is fired from the museum and he discovers Marc's things + the scarab in the storage locker). A frazzled Steven is shocked when MC suddenly appears, too, especially when the woman--Layla--introduced herself as his wife.
MC couldn't even say--do--anything, only staring at Steven with such hurt, angry, disappointed eyes before running out the door and out of the building. Steven chased after MC to explain, but he wasn't fast enough and the damage was already done.
Fast forward into Season 2 (I know at this point in time there's no S2 but just indulge me LMAO xD), MC is revealed to be living with a friend of hers as she picks up the pieces of her broken heart and starts anew.
But here's a lil twist: After the events with Harrow and the gods' Avatars died, MC became Hathor's (the goddess of love and music) new Avatar. I still don't know how this came to be, but just roll with meh 👍
While MC does her missions for Hathor, she eventually crosses paths once more with a familiar face who she is surprised to find out is Khonshu's (another god Hathor has quite smittenly told MC a lot about) Avatar--Steven.
Only... This isn't actually Steven, but a man who claims to be Jake Lockley.
Jake then explains to MC that Steven has dissociative identity disorder and that he, along with another man named Marc Spector, were alters in a system with Steven. Obviously this is a fucking LOT to take in, but MC eventually believes Jake and it made sense as to why Steven acted different sometimes when they were still together.
It is also revealed that Jake was the one who asked MC out and before Steven even knew her, Jake was the one who liked her first. But in an attempt to keep MC all for himself, Jake doesn't say the truth about Layla, of how she is now Marc's ex-wife since things never worked out with them and Steven is still very much hung up and in love with MC. So MC is kept in the dark about everything, still believing that Steven lied and cheated on her.
It is definitely weird meeting Jake, especially when Jake is extremely open about his feelings for MC and continuously attempts to go out of his way to find her and woo her (to no avail). MC knows that despite sharing the same body, Jake is an entirely different person. But it hurts a lot to just look at him since all she sees is Steven.
Overtime, however, MC gets over her heartbreak and realizes that she also has feelings for Jake and decides to say "fuck it" and take a leap of faith. At this point in time, MC is still under the impression that Steven is married to Layla (even though she hasn't seen the woman again at all). Deep down, MC knows that it's wrong, but she really does like Jake and believes that they both deserve to live their own lives and have a relationship with each other, even if it may be challenging to keep it a secret.
Once MC confesses to Jake, he realizes that what he's doing is wrong and if he truly cared about her, he needed to be honest. So Jake takes MC out on a date and plans on telling her everything, but before he had the chance to Steven suddenly gained control of the body!
Steven and Marc have both had suspicions for a while that there's a third alter and now it's been confirmed, along with the two of them being surprised and infuriated that Khonshu isn't actually out of their lives. But the more pressing matter is that MC was here, right now, with Steven, even though it shattered his heart to see her looking at him with those same pained, spiteful eyes that haunted him when she completely disappeared from his life.
But in a panicked rush, Steven told MC everything. Of how he didn't know he had DID before, about coming to terms with Marc's existence and Steven's own purpose, of how Layla was actually Marc's wife and they were now divorced, etc.
All of this was much harder to take in than when Jake told MC about their situation. Although, meeting Steven again made MC realize that she did still love him as much as she loved Jake. But that didn't erase the pain in MC's heart and while she was glad that the truth was finally out and all the misunderstandings were cleared up, MC just needed time. Time to heal, time to just really wrap her head around everything and determine where she stands in Steven and Jake's lives and where they stand in hers.
So that's what MC did. As much as Steven missed her, as desperate as he was to hug her and kiss her and just say that everything will be okay, he respected her decision. And he understood because he, too, needed time to get his and Marc's and Jake's shit together.
As time passes, MC and Steven meet again. And this time, they were ready to be together once more and for forever. Jake is there, too, and they all work together to navigate through their unconventional romance, but they don't worry too much because they know they will be alright. Because, just like the constellations in the night sky, their hearts had a special connection.
But as MC's love blooms with Steven and Jake, Marc is there. He's always there, like a dark shadow. Unlike the other two, Marc actively avoided MC and/or openly expressed his distaste. He didn't love Layla anymore, but the divorce really affected him as well as his perception on relationships. He just didn't want to suffer through that same heartbreak again, but this time he had a lot more to be protective over because he not only had to watch over himself, but also Steven and Jake. He absolutely would never forgive you and himself if you broke the boys' hearts.
Though let's just say, long story short, that you work things out with Marc and wormed your way into this lovable grump's heart 🥰
There are also two potential endings for this story. Ideally, of course, I LOVE a happy ending and I want them all to simply be lovey dovey (which they DESERVE). The other ending, ROUGHLY, is that some bad shit goes down and MC ends up having to sacrifice herself to keep the Moon Boys safe and she dies. This obviously completely fucks the boys up, so much so that they never fully accept MC's death while also losing their will to live and blaming themselves. As a result, during a mission for Khonshu, the boys are so out of their element that they end up being killed by their enemy.
B U T even tho me likes some good ol' angst, I could never actually go through it without a proper conclusion!! SO when the boys die, they meet and be with MC again who's been eagerly waiting for them at the Field of Reeds, truly for all eternity now and just U G H MY HEART 😭💔
Now that I've written this out, I'm SO fooken excited!! Though, as I said, this is only an IDEA (at least for now)
Buuut what do y'all think??? :3

The Profit & Love Statement » Pt. 10
↠ Pairing: Seokjin x Reader
↠ Genre: Fluff, Comedy, Angst
↳ 4.2k / Office AU (lowkey E2L vibes)
↠ Summary: The workplace isn’t for everyone. It can be mundane and repetitive, with some describing it like a nuisance and others as a blessing. You’re the kind that leans more towards the latter and while it does make you an ideal candidate for many things, nothing could have prepared you for the whirlwind that is the new employee.
↠ A/N: The chapter is split into two parts; starts with the past and then ends in the present.

–note: the beginning of this chapter takes place in the past
“Kim Namjoon!”
There’s a young man with glasses seated at one of the cubicles, adorned in a simple white dress shirt and black slacks. At the call of his name, he scrambles out of his seat.
“Vice President Kim.” He straightens his back up at the sight of the older man.
The superior before him grins, eyes crinkling. “I see you’ve been adjusting quite well here.”
“I’ve only started a month ago, Sir.” Namjoon meekly replies, “There’s still much for me to learn and do.”
The Vice President chuckles, patting his shoulder lightly. “Always the hard-working type.”
He sheepishly smiles at the compliment, dimples arising at the corners of his cheeks.
“You’re a very bright young man, Namjoon. I can easily see you going places.”
“T-Thank you, Mr. Kim.” He’s filled with nothing but gratitude for the man. During the process of his interview, the hiring personnel hadn’t hesitated in their decision to recruit him, but on his way out he had abruptly bumped into him, not realizing who he truly was. It was only afterwards that Namjoon finally realized, but by then he was already in the man’s good books without even trying.
“On that note.” The older gentlemen swivels, gesturing to the man standing a few steps behind him, curiously gazing at one of the offices.
“Seokjin.” The man’s daze breaks and recognition hits him as he makes his way over immediately. He’s dressed in a similar fashion to Namjoon, his dark hair neatly brushed down and a pair of round glasses sitting on the rim of his nose. Save for his outer appearance though, the one feature that has Namjoon bewildered is the striking similarity he shares with the Vice President.
He places a hand on his shoulder, a fond smile on his face. “This is my youngest son, Seokjin.”
Namjoon’s irises widen and his vision darts between the two. “Y-Your son?”
The Vice President nods, “This is Kim Namjoon, the man I was telling you about.”
Seokjin nods, raising his hand out. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Uh, yes!” Namjoon quickly extends his own hand, not wanting to seem rude from his cluelessness. “Same to you.”
Seokjin kindly smiles and Namjoon notes how naïve and polite he almost seems, but those are thoughts he decides to keep to himself.
The Vice President turns to him and the abrupt introduction beings to make more sense.
“He’ll be working in the office starting today through an internship.” He states, “I was hoping you could help him to understand how we run things here.”
Namjoon’s eyes nearly bulge out of their sockets. Not only did he not know that the Vice President had a son, but he was also going to be tasked with the very same man’s training.
It’s incredibly daunting and all Namjoon can sputter out is a– “O-Of course.”
“Thank you.” He says, turning to Seokjin. “I’ll be seeing you around. Let me know if there’s any issues.”
After the Vice President departs, Namjoon is left alone with the man. He’s almost caught up in a daze from the chain of events, but then Seokjin blinks naively in his direction and it finally dawns on him that instead of lingering around the fact that he needs to train a Superior’s son, he should just cut straight to it.
Snapping out of his astray thoughts, he begins to walk into the workplace. “Please follow me.”
Seokjin obliges and Namjoon takes him to his cubicle that’s to the far right and next to a wide window. It’s a tad bit messy, and he’s completely flustered.
“U-Uh sorry, I didn’t know you were going to be here otherwise I would have cleaned up more and–“
“How many plants do you have?”
He freezes, thrown off from the question.
After a moment, he attempts to think logically and keenly eyes the greenery, counting the number that are littering his desk.
“Uh, about six.”
“Are you sure?” Seokjin’s brows are raised as he glances around in disbelief, “Dude, you have a whole jungle in here!”
Namjoon stares wistfully at his plants, not quite realizing the abundance. He found that employees at nearby cubicles always kept things important to them, like pictures of family and friends, which is understandable. But for him, having some plants around to tend to was calming for the most part.
But he can also understand the reaction the leafy sight would cause.
“I suppose you’re right…” He murmurs thoughtfully. Seokjin lets out a sigh, plopping onto a nearby chair and stretching his arms out behind his back, lazily leaning his head against them.
“So what are you going to teach me? How to file stuff? How to use a basic computer?” He springs up in his chair and Namjoon jolts. “Ooh, I heard there was going to be a party for someone’s birthday on the third floor!”
“Ah, yes. I think Hyunwoo is turning thirty-five this week.” Namjoon contemplates, wondering if the suggestion was even appropriate. “I guess we can go… but later on in the evening, after we’re done work.”
Seokjin is inspecting one of his plants, staring at the fuzz on one of the branches. “Sounds like a plan.”
Namjoon blinks wide-eyed, caught completely off guard with the individual before him. He seemed so reserved and well-mannered when they were introduced in front of the Vice President, but it’s like within that time span he went through a complete switch.
It’s actually quite refreshing to see in the office, Namjoon has to admit.
“The Vice President asked me to show you around.” He sits down in his chair, “Remember to stay with me so you don’t get lost somewhere.”
“Don’t worry…” He turns at the sound of Seokjin’s snicker, only to see the man holding up one of his plants. “I promise not to leaf!”
Namjoon has an expression akin to a deer in headlights as Seokjin cracks up, squeaking laughs slipping from one. At the sight of Namjoon’s face, he waves his head.
“It’s okay, I was just pollening your leg.” His shoulder’s shake with his laughter this time and Namjoon could have sworn he heard him whisper something similar to ‘Man, I’m hilarious’.
Yet strangely enough, despite the chain of horrendous jokes, Namjoon can find the corner of his lip lifting.
***
“This is the printer room, and over here is where we can photocopy as well–“
Namjoon gyrates, pointing out said things in the room. Seokjin follows him around curiously, hands stuffed in his pockets.
“There’s a printer. Some photocopy machine.” Seokjin hums, “Got it.”
Namjoon raises a brow, “Did you though?”
“It’s a printer!” Seokjin scoffs, pressing one of the buttons, “How hard can it be?”
The machine lights up and whirrs, whisking away one of the sheets and printing a set of numbers onto it. Seokjin’s eyes widen, and without another second to spare, another sheet prints and comes shooting out.
He stares at Namjoon in horror. “What did I just do?!”
“It was set to photocopy and you pressed print.” He takes the paper that was ejected. “Thankfully, I just needed two more copies of this.”
Seokjin hesitantly nods and Namjoon turns off the machine after a couple of minutes, grabbing the remaining sheets.
He smiles and gestures to the door, “Come on.”
Seokjin follows behind him, and he heads back to his cubicle. It’s been a handful of days since he was initially introduced to the young man, quickly learning that he was quite literally the definition of appearance versus reality.
He stops at his desk, “I want you to start creating reports on the monitor. It should be simpler with all the training you’ve had.”
Seokjin hums and plops down onto the chair, typing in on the keyboard. Namjoon organizes the papers in his hands, glancing over every so often.
After a moment passes, Seokjin exhales. “This is kind of boring.”
“It’s a little redundant.” Namjoon understandingly remarks with a wince, turning back to his file. “But it shouldn’t be too tough. Remember to just try your best and focus where you can.”
Although there’s a crease in between his brows, Seokjin hums again. He attempts to work on the computer, but the numbers run right past him, and he can’t seem to grasp onto what he was typing despite Namjoon’s constant reassurance.
He whirls around, “Hey, is it time for a break?”
“But we just got started ten minutes ago.” Namjoon mentions. “Keep going, you can definitely do this.”
“Right…” Seokjin mumbles, letting out a sigh. He straightens up his back, narrowing his eyes onto the screen.
Namjoon is almost done with his task, moving over to look over the latter’s work. But that’s when–
“Namjoon!”
A co-worker of his rushes forward. “I think I’m missing some numbers for my report. Do you mind just looking it over?”
“Oh– of course!” He spins around, noticing Seokjin still focusing on his monitor. “Just give me one minute–“
“Seokjin!” The man’s head upturns and Namjoon jogs over. “I’ll be gone for about ten minutes. Do you think you’ll be okay?”
“Yeah, yeah.” Seokjin mutters, “I’ve got this…sort of.”
“Good.” Namjoon encouragely nods, “Just keep at it!”
With that, he departs. Seokjin attempts to take his advice to work, filling in the various computations before him. It’s only until he finally finishes one that he glances at the clock behind him, realizing it took him a solid fifteen minutes to do.
He lets out an exasperated exhale, the work in front of him giving him not but a sincere headache. Darting his eyes back and forth, he realizes there’s barely anyone in sight, save for a couple of workers far from his cubicle and a group returning back with coffees in their hands.
The lingering thought echoes in his mind.
It wouldn’t be so bad, right? Just a quick break, and he’ll be back to work in no time.
A small smile quirks on his lips and the computer before him is turned off.
Tumblr media
Namjoon is in a complete frenzy.
The work his associate needed ended up being much longer than he would have anticipated, but luckily he managed to finish it within twenty minutes. Upon checking the time, he had raced back to his cubicle, only to discover that it was empty.
He initially assumed it was just a bathroom break, but after realizing the computer had been shut off, he has an inkling of what could have possibly transpired.
He races around the office, asking coworkers if they had potentially seen the man who was with him anywhere. All he gets are shakes of head and shrugs of shoulders, not until he bumps into a certain someone.
“Woah, woah, slow down there!” The man approaches him, a charming glint to his eyes. “Can I help you in any way?”
Namjoon speaks in a ramble, his breath quickening. “Yes, you can! I’ve been training Vice President Kim’s son, Seokjin, and I think he might have disappeared somehow.”
“Really?” He blinks, “Well, that’s no good.”
“I know, he doesn’t seem to be too interested in the office much and I can get that, but it’s just take time and–“
“Namjoon, slow down.” The man chuckles, placing a hand on his shoulder with a warm smile. “Seokjin’s probably somewhere around here. He would have just needed a break from all this.”
“Right…” A lightbulb goes off in his head, and he narrows his eyes, “And who are you?”
He fondly smiles, “I’m Seokjin’s older brother.”
“WHA-?” At hearing his own loud tone, he pipes down. “I-I can’t believe y-you’re–“
“Don’t worry about it.” He waves it off, “I’m pretty sure he’ll be back, so you can relax.”
“I’ll try.” Namjoon chuckles underneath his breath, “Thank you.”
“It’s no problem.” He begins stepping back and it’s only now Namjoon notices the file in his hands, perhaps something he was transporting. “It was nice meeting you, Namjoon!”
He weakly waves back with a sheepish smile, letting out an exhale of relief. First, the Vice President, then Seokjin and now Seokjin’s older brother. He wonders who’s going to appear next.
“Namjoon?”
Eyes widening, he whips his head around only to see Seokjin standing with two cups of coffee in his hands. At his surprise, he cheekily smiles and raises them.
Namjoon lets out a deep exhale.
***
His arms are crossed as he leans against the desk.
“You can’t do that again.”
“I know.” Seokjin wistfully says, turning on the monitor before him. “It just gets so boring here. That, plus the work is so mundane.”
“Then why did you choose to come here?”
“I’m the Vice President’s son.” Seokjin remarks, turning his head to him knowingly. “Why do you think I did?”
Namjoon quiets down. “It’s not just me, either. My brother’s around here somewhere too.”
“O-Oh, I know.” He sheepishly scratches his neck, “I bumped into him.”
“You did?” His eyes sparkle with the mention, a smile curving on his lips. “What was he doing? Organizing a bunch of stuff?”
“He was carrying a file in his hands….”
“He’s working for my dad then. Makes sense.” The computer lights up, but Seokjin doesn’t move forward to type anything. “My father’s been working towards becoming the CEO and with that, sooner or later one of us will have to follow his steps.”
“You think it’s you?”
“Oh, god no.” Seokjin spins around with wide eyes, “You think I can do any of this?! It took me ten minutes today just to do one computation.”
“And you put it in the wrong section.” Namjoon points out, grimacing at Seokjin’s confounded expression. “Sorry.”
“No, no, you’re right.” He shakes his head. “Seokjung’s the one that should be here, not me.”
Namjoon watches as he intensely furrows his brows, concentrating onto the screen before him. Although he can understand the sentiment, he finds that the words are laced with a tad bit too much of doubt.
“It takes time…and a lot of practice,” Namjoon brings up. “I understand that certain things can only work once you’re passionate about them, but that doesn’t mean it’s not completely doable.”
“So you think I should eventually work here?” He genuinely ponders.
“I just think you should give yourself more credit.” He states. “Regardless of who steps into your father’s shoes, you should know that you’re both equally capable.”
A moment of silence takes over and Seokjin turns around, staring at Namjoon intently.
“I think…you’re right.” He nods, “I’ll try my best, Namjoon.”
A giant grin breaks out onto his features and he claps his hands together, shuffling over to the monitor.
“Then we can get back to work!” His eyes flicker, “But no taking random breaks anymore!”
“Oh, come on!” Seokjin protests, grabbing onto one of the cups. “I even got you a coffee.”
Namjoon frowns, “Does it have milk?”
“Two packets and a layer of whipped cream.”
He furrows his brows, reluctantly grabbing onto the cup. “Fine, but you have to ask me first before leaving!”
Seokjin raises his hand and salutes him. “Aye, aye, Captain!”
Namjoon shakes his head in amusement, sipping down on his drink with a hum.
Tumblr media
He marches down the elongated hallway.
A wide smile lines his lips, his cheeks puffed out and eyes crinkled. There’s a couple of sheets of papers in his hands, ones that Namjoon had asked him to photocopy and print for him.
However, just as he turns around the corner and reaches out for the door knob to the room, a string of low hushes and whispers enter his ears.
“He’s so responsible and organized, Mr. Kim!” A gruff voice states. “I’m sure your son can easily earn a position here at Kim Electronics.”
His irises twinkle, and he abandons his position in the front of the printing room, opting to move closer to the source instead.
Another voice speaks out. “I have to agree with you, Mr. Choi. He’s truly a capable young man.”
He hears a low chuckle from his father on the other end. “I’m glad you’ve all been appreciating my son’s efforts.”
The smile on his features softens, and he’s included to raise his hand to gently knock on the door.
But then– “Of course! Seokjung is sure to follow in your steps!”
His lids flicker, the smile adorning him withering as quickly as it arose. More chuckles spill out from his father and his feet begin to back track.
But the following words forcibly anchor him back.
“I have to be honest though, Mr. Kim.” Another man brings up. “Your second son doesn’t seem as qualified as the older one.”
He harshly swallows, pressing his ear closer to the wood.
“He needs some time. Everyone does.” His father softly says. “It will only be a matter of time until Seokjin improves, I’m sure of it.”
“Whatever you say, Sir.”
He stands there for a couple of minutes, conversations about the company and numbers resurfacing that run completely over his head. He stands there as his mind whirls, a chain of thoughts echoing.
The expectations are incredibly high. It’s obvious.
But his dad is right. It takes time.
And there shouldn’t be a problem in trying to fulfill them.
Right?
Tumblr media
The broad room is deafeningly silent, not a single word spoken. There are a set of five eyes glued to his form, one of them resembling his own.
“Mr. Kim.” One of the men steps up, nearing his father’s age. He plasters on a smile, eyes crinkling. “You’ve been here for a couple of months through an internship.”
He solemnly nods, already aware of the fact. “The question that arises now is if you will continue to stay with this company.”
He hums.
“Going based on your work….” The man glances in his father’s direction with a remorseful smile.
He snaps his gaze back to Seokjin. “I’m afraid you will not be granted a position. Your work is lacking in several places and you haven’t completely grasped any of the company’s logistics.” He winces. “I’m very sorry.”
The words cut deep, like daggers sinking into his skin. Yet all he can do is simply smile in return, as strained as it is.
“I understand.”
He stands up to pack up his belongings, not failing to miss the look of disappointment that crosses his father’s face. However, one of the men lean over to another, a whisper echoing that seemingly haunts him as he leaves.
“It’s such a shame he doesn’t share the same capabilities as the older one.”
The door shuts on his way out and Namjoon’s eyes light up, scrambling out of a nearby chair in an instant.
“How did it go?” He quickly asks, only to be rendered utterly speechless from the distressed expression he holds.
All he can really do is offer his past mentor a stiff smile, walking away at a quickened pace.
***
Will he ever get a chance like this again?
Of course not.
Will he ever fit in here?
Definitely not.
Will he.…ever be enough?
He stuffs his belongings into a bag, barely paying mind that Namjoon’s plants are nearby as the zipper is tightly pulled. He hitches it onto his shoulder, collecting his coffee in his hand and strutting towards the door.
He’s tired – tired of meeting his father’s businessman and watching the way they brag about their kids with no end. He’s tired of never meeting the expectations, always falling short somehow.
He’s just so tired.
And he knows already. He knows that he doesn’t fit into the workplace. He knows that he won’t ever come back here and heck even if he does, he’ll probably have to be dragged back.
A sigh slips his lips, and he plants a hand against his forehead, pressing against his temples.
“Woah!”
He falters at the person that knocks straight at him. Quickly balancing the cup in his hands, he steadies himself and reaches out to balance them.
“I’m so sorry, are you alright?” His eyes downturn. “I should have been paying attention…”
“It’s okay, I’m fine!” The man says, dressed in similar attire to him. He presumes that he works nearby in one of the departments.
However, the man’s features scrunch and he stares at Seokjin with squinting eyes.
“Say….aren’t you the Vice President’s son?”
Brief surprise spreads over him, but it’s soon replaced with a forced smile with a nod.
“Wow, this is incredible!” He says astounded, “I never knew Mr. Kim’s son was so handsome!”
Seokjin’s forehead creases as his brows knit together, head snapping up.
“I’m sorry…what did you just say?”
“That you’re handsome!” He grins, giving him a thumbs up. “Very good looking, if I do may say.”
Seokjin stares at the man confounded, a small spark gleaming in his eyes.
“I have to get going now, but it was great meeting you!” He says and Seokjin blinks, breaking his daze. The man departs with a smile and a wave, something that he can barely return.
Walking down the hall, he catches a reflection of himself through glass in a meeting room.
He’s never really thought much of his features before, but there is a certain softness yet sharpness to them. They’re physical qualities he would imagine an actor perhaps would have, someone who would have the natural confidence to exclude them.
His eyes widen and a giant smile tugs on his lips.
Tumblr media
“Hello?”
The man lid’s are squeezed shut.
“Hello?” He reaches over and shakes his shoulder, “Hello!! Mr. Soon-To-Be Ceo!!”
Seokjin’s eyes snap open and he bolts upright in his chair, nearly giving Taehyung a heart attack. He glances around, wondering how on earth he ended up in an office.
“Finally!” His gaze falls on Taehyung, who plants his hands on his hips. “Do you know how long it took to wake you?!”
“What....?” Seokjin mumbles, rubbing his sore eyes.
“Why are you here anyways?” Taehyung points out, “You’re supposed to be in the Sales and Finance Department.”
“I’m pretty sure he came to see me.”
Taehyung turns at the sound of another voice, seeing the CFO of the company standing at the door. He straightens up his back, words coated with honey.
“Of course! Please continue!” He quickly turns, heading towards the door.
He departs, leaving the two of them in the room alone.
Seokjin lets out a yawn and Namjoon raises a brow, placing a file on his desk.
“I never took you for being one to sleep in the office.”
“It’s the jet lag.” He mumbles.
“You came back three days ago.” Namjoon ponders, sitting down on a chair. “And that flight wasn’t even that long.”
He waves it off. “I haven’t been sleeping too well.”
“You know…I heard from someone that the CEO made an appearance at the product launch event.”
Seokjin snaps his head around. “You were there?”
Namjoon hums and turns to him. “They made it known to the public, didn’t they?”
“Yep…” Seokjin sighs, “I knew it was coming but now it’s official…”
Namjoon nods understandably. “It’s become even more daunting.”
Seokjin hums, “Your training has been coming along well, no?”
“Y/N said I’ve been improving.” He chuckles, “She also believes I can take up the position.”
Namjoon smiles. “She’s not alone on that.”
He places a pondering finger under his chin, “If you’re already improving with her training, it seems like her methods must be a lot better than my own.”
“Hey, you were a pretty good mentor too.” Seokjin protests. “To this day, I’m careful around printers!”
Namjoon laughs whole-heartedly, eyes crinkling as Seokjin smiles.
A knock resonates through the room.
“Come in.” Namjoon announces.
You push against the door, smiling in his direction and lightly wave. “Hi, Namjoon.”
He waves back and you lean against the wood, directing your gaze on Seokjin with crossed arms.
“Taehyung tells me you fell asleep?”
Seokjin scoffs, “For like five minutes!” He glances at the man to his left, “Right, Namjoon?”
He stumbles for words. “U-Uh I-I…”
“Just take naps during your break time.” You protest, “When you’re working, you’re with me and getting stuff done. Not diddly-dandling in other places.”
Namjoon widens his eyes at the tone you use, flickering his eyes over at Seokjin. “I wasn’t diddly-dandling, I just wanted to say hi to someone and fell asleep by accident!”
You narrow your eyes suspiciously. “Uh-huh.”
Seokjin stands up, “Look, I’m not trying to break the terms of our negotiation. It was just an accident.”
You stare at him for one moment longer before humming. “Fine – but don’t make me come searching for you again.”
Seokjin laughs at the accusatory finger you point in his direction and you smile, shaking your head.
You turn your attention to Namjoon. “Sorry, you had to see that.”
“No, no, please.” Namjoon chuckles, a bit taken aback. “If I only had as much strength as you did with his mentoring.”
Your mouth falls agape. “You were Seokjin’s mentor?”
“It was a long time ago.” Seokjin states, ushering you out. “Now come on, let’s get back to that work you’re so desperate to get done.”
“I’m not desperate!”
“Says the person that was offended by me taking a five-minute nap.”
“Five minutes is a lot of time, okay? You can do full on negotiations during that time.”
“Psh, very funny.”
Namjoon fondly smiles as he resumes his work, your mixed voices pitching through the office door long after it’s closed shut.

BLEACH Anime Return Celebration- Dates and Send in Your Prompts!
Hi everyone,
Thank you again to those who gave their thoughts and opinions in the previous post. I read every response and came up with the event and potential dates to hold it on.
We have a few things to cover here, but before we get to all of it, please note that I'll need responses for everything below by 11pm this Saturday 24th September.
Also, if there is an artist or fan editor who would be willing to let one of their pieces be used or would like to create a piece to help promote this event (eg. use as a banner or to announce the prompts), that'd be awesome! If I had to choose, it would be one of the Karakura Gang or a group of characters from across BLEACH's settings. Of course, you will be given full credit and a link to the original piece would be provided on any page it's used on.
Dates for the event
As I mentioned before, I am looking to hold this event sometime in the week before the anime's return, so the potential dates I have come up with are:
The weekend (8th and 9th Oct)
Four days (Thurs 6th to Sun 9th Oct, as suggested by @recurring-polynya)
A week (Mon 3rd to Sun 9th Oct; this would be cutting it tight as it only give everyone a week to prepare their piece/s, but it's totally okay if people work on their pieces during the week or if submissions are a little late)
What I need to know from everyone: via reblogging/commenting on this post, pming me, or sending me an ask, please let me know your preferred dates by Saturday 24th Sept.
The Event
Based on what got the most votes, we will be doing a prompt group event.
In short, a prompt group event is run very similar to a regular fandom week. In the latter, there are a set of themes (usually one per day) and everyone participating must create something based on the theme. In a prompt group event, you are given groups of prompts that you can choose from; once you've chosen a group, you create a piece based on the prompts provided in that group.
I did this example in the previous post too, but for anyone who didn't see it, here's an example of what prompt groups can look like:
Group A: AU
Takes place in an AU of your choice
Two characters are talking
Either rain or a lake must be featured somehow
Group B: Before the War
Must feature the color red
Takes place just before the Thousand Year Blood War arc
Features either something comical or something angsty
Group C: Let's Eat!
Must feature two or more characters having a meal together
One of the Karakura Gang (Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, Renji, Uryu, or Chad) either makes a cameo or is involved somehow
One of the characters has an extreme reaction to something they’ve eaten
Group D: In Times of War
Takes place during the Thousand Year Blood War arc
Must feature something with a rough (or rough-looking) texture
Revolves around the themes of grief and determination
Let's say I chose Group B, I would then create something with all three prompts included somehow. I can't use anything from the other groups, but if I wanted to, I could create another, separate piece based on the prompts from Group A, thus creating two submissions for the day.
At this stage, I'm looking to have a few prompt groups per day with a different set of groups each day (ie the prompt groups from the first day will not be the same as the ones on the next day).
The basic rules for group prompts are 1) you can choose which ever group you want, and 2) you can use only the prompts provided in the prompt group and not any others from other prompt groups, but you can interpret the prompts in your chosen prompt group however you choose to.
What I need to know from everyone: via reblogging/commenting on this post, pming me, or sending me an ask, let me know how many prompt groups should we have per day (I'm thinks two to four at this stage), how many prompts should be in each group, what I should name the event by Saturday 24th Sept.
Now, with that out of the way let's get into...
Send in your prompts!
I need your prompt suggestions! However, here are some things to keep in mind.
Types of prompts:
Prompts can be as simple or as complex as you want. You can send in:
A single word (for example: 'grief', 'determination', 'red', 'kite', 'running', 'duality' etc.)
A description of something (for example: 'something soft and small', 'a square, heavy box' 'must feature the color red', etc)
A sentence of dialogue (for example: 'a character says "It's a nice day out.", two or more characters exclaim "Ouch!" at the same time, etc)
An event or action (for example: 'something falls from the sky', 'the piece is centered on discovering a photo in a drawer', 'it has a battle between two Arrancars', etc)
The setting or environment (for example: 'takes place in an AU', 'it's in the early morning', 'takes place before the Thousand Year Blood War arc', 'takes place somewhere with a lot of green colors', 'it's a hot day', etc)
An object or animal that must be involved (for example: 'a snake must be featured', 'a character is holding a fluffy animal', 'one or more zanpakuto are featured')
Something involving a duo or a group (for example: 'a group of characters must be dancing', 'must have two characters hugging each other', 'must have three characters working together in a battle', 'two of the characters involved must be enemies', etc)
A mixture of any of the above (for example: 'either rain or a lake must be featured', 'involves a character looking for a green book in someone's office', 'two characters meet like they did the first time when they were Souls but it goes differently from there' etc)
The general rules of thumb are:
Send in prompts that allow for choice and variety. So for instance, a prompt wouldn't be like 'Rukia and Byakuya visit Hisana's shrine', but instead should be something like 'two characters visit a shrine'. However if you want to be a bit more specific but still have a choice, you can send in something like 'two Kuchiki clan members visit a shrine', allowing people to choose the Kuchiki characters they want to create a piece with who's shrine they are visiting.
As I'm hoping fan-artists, fanfic writers, and fan-editors will want to participate, prompts should be friendly to all three types of creators. Prompts like those involving dialogue are more suited towards writers and editors, but some fan-artists of course to do comics or include dialogue in their fanart, so these kinds of prompts will be accepted.
As this is an open event, this means any ships and familial or platonic relationships can be included. Prompts can have [typically] romantic actions or events, but I also want to keep the actions open for interpretation so that anyone looking to do a platonic/familial duo or group can use the prompts as well. So for example, instead of 'your OTP must hug', you could do something like 'must have two characters hugging'.
I'm looking to make this a SFW event, so I'm afraid mature prompts won't be accepted.
What I need to know from everyone: via commenting on this post, sending me an ask, or pming me, send your prompt suggestions to me by Saturday 24th Sept. You can send as many as you like, the more the merrier!
Should I create a separate blog for this?
On a side note, I've wondered if I should create a sideblog for the event. I don't mind my main blog being the official blog to host the event, but I'm wondering if people would prefer to have a blog dedicated solely to the event rather than a personal blog. If I did create another blog, I would likely call it 'bleach-celebration' or something to that effect.
Once I have all of the above, I will put everything together and announce the event's name, prompt groups, dates, and rules (and sideblog if it's created) on either Sunday 25th or Monday 26th Sept. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll be happy to answer them :D
Thank you again everyone, I know we can make this event an awesome one!

AkuSaiMonth 2022: July 8 - August 7
Welcome to AkuSaiMonth! A month of celebrating AkuSai & LeaIsa! It's been a hard two years, but at least ASM is back, this time with a new host (and with permission of the original creator)!
AkuSaiMonth 2022 Bingo
Similar to 2015, we will be playing bingo again, but this time with a twist: The bingo cards are randomized! Every participant will have their prompts in 1 of 30 different arrangements!
Where can I get the Bingo Card?
To claim your personal AkuSaiMonth 2022 Bingo card, click >> HERE! << Using the link on the same device and browser should (in theory) always lead to the same card. However, I would strongly recommend also saving the card by either using the print button on top or by making a screenshot.
Text-to-Speech-friendly bingo cards are available here: LINK. These are not randomized unfortunately, but you can still pick one (of three) at random! Please let me know if you run into any problems!
See the end of the post for a plain text list of the prompts in alphabetical order.
And here is one example Bingo card: You can use this one as well of course, but give the randomized cards a chance!
Tumblr media
[ID in alt]
How does it work?
The goal is to get one "Bingo!" during the month (Jul 7 – Aug 8) by filling 5 prompts in a row, column or diagonal.
This could mean one post every week, for example:
Post 1: Friday, July 8 (IsaLea Day)
Post 2: Saturday, July 16
Post 3: Saturday, July 23
Post 4: Sunday, July 31
Post 5: Sunday, August 7 (AkuSai Day) -> Bingo! <3
You are of course allowed to do less than five prompts (one is perfectly fine! <3) or even fill out the entire bingo card (I wish I had your time management skills)!
Rules:
Posting Rules
Tag your works as #akusaimonth and #asm22
Mention @akusaimonth, so I can't miss your work!
You can fill as many prompts as you want at whatever schedule works for you!
The goal is to achieve one "Bingo", but this is meant as motivation only; it's not an obligation or restriction!
You can start and end your participation at any time!
Content Rules
All forms of content are allowed, including but not limited to fanfiction, fanart, edits, videos, music, …
The "/" in some prompts means you can use either or multiple of the terms
All prompts are open for interpretation, there's no right or wrong way to use any of them!
You can stay within the framework of canon or create AUs or crossovers or whatever you want, everything is great!
All content has to be made by you! Stolen fan work is NOT allowed.
If you want to include fan content made by other people in your edit/video/… you have to get permission first and add credit to the original creator/s!
Official material can be used with no restrictions
NSFW Rules
NSFW is allowed!
Please post visual NSFW under a "Read More"
NSFW content will be reblogged with an #nsfw tag

The Pinned Post™
Howdy! I thought I’d make this so I can dump things that don’t fit in the description. I’m really just writing things down that have been floating in my head, so I’ll definitely be making small changes to this over time.
Keep reading for F.A.Q. and submission guidelines.
What is this?
Concept Rewritten is a blog for showcasing and archiving Toontown Rewritten development content, or other similar tidbits. You can expect to see early models, art, or textual information. Posts are scheduled to release every second day, for now, in order to not burn through everything too fast! However, if you’re a developer, or you just have some interesting pre-release/unused content, you can make a submission!
When submitting, please keep in mind that, if your post contains content that has not been publicly shared in good faith by any member of the Toontown Rewritten team, you must have permission to submit it. We’re not a leak blog!
If you’re the owner of any of the content here, and would like to have it taken down, edited, or even just expanded upon, you can contact me here! If you offer proof of owning the content or having authority on it, and want it deleted, it’ll be done, no questions asked.

Submission Guidelines
Source your submission!
Unreleased content must be publicly released by the Toontown Rewritten team and/or confirmed to be scrapped.
Submissions that do not have a publicly-available source must have adequate permission to be posted.
F.A.Q.
Can you do [private server]?
Unfortunately, there are no plans to include other servers, as I’m currently not involved enough in the communities of any other servers to do them justice. However, if you think you can do it, you have my blessing to run it yourself! It would be great to see the creative process of more people in the community.
This [source/credit/name] [is/has become] inaccurate. Could you fix it?
Send on a message and I’ll try have it fixed A.S.A.P.!
You deleted this post, can I know why?
If a post is removed, it’s probably for good reason. If it can be shared, there will be a meta post.
Where is the Toon Resistance?
 biscuit door :)

GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS TUMBLR
Tumblr media
I (@nnugatoryextravagance) used to run a twitter account under the same name as this blog, but now I refuse to use that horrific bird app for the sake of my health, BUT also really missed doing this, So now here we are
There is technically speaking only one blog admin (Me, Sludge!) but I am the host of a multiple system, so others might post as well (we will use emojis to identify ourselves, mine is 💊) ((please be respectful, we will not engage with syscourse so dont bother))
[Also I know the name implies this is daily, but honestly dont hold your breath on that.]
ANYWAY YEAH onto the rules and other stuff
(keep reading)
Prepare necessary info about your Fantroll (Minimum info is at least Name, one SAFE FOR WORK photo, gender and/or pronouns [either one or both], caste, and sign)
Optional info is Age, Classpect, Lusus, Sign (if its not from the Extended Zodiac), and whatever else you'd like to add, (thanks to being freed from twitter's character limit, I encourage you to tell me as much as you want about them!)
Meme/Shitpost characters are totally okay! as long as they meet the minimum req above and are a troll I dont care! On the og account I literally posted an edit of the fucking Scout from tf2 as a Rustblood
We will OCCASIONALLY do little silly events that may change some of these rules, however wait for me to announce those dont just jump in early that'll get annoying
The admin(s) running this blog is/are bodily 16 years old, sending anything nsfw will be 100% ignored. [Characters from more mature source material ARE allowed however, but again, do not send directly send me images of said mature content]
If you did not make the character PLEEASE tell me where its from or who did make them. (on or off site I don't care), the whole reason I even started this originally was to share the work of others in this fandom I love to more people. Not telling me who made the character defeats the whole purpose [Similar applies if you include art of the character NOT drawn by you please just give credit to people I beg of you]
We understand that Homestuck as a whole is a very... Interesting series thats made VERY fucking poor choices, but any sort of intolerance or shitty behavior will NOT be tolerated here. We have Zero Affiliation with Hussie nor do we endorse their past behavior or very questionable writing decisions, any unfounded accusations of such towards me or anyone else over enjoying the comic will be thrown straight in the bin, blow me. (If there are any ACTUAL issues however, please respectfully send a pm about it, Random shit in the askbox will likely be either ignored or buried)
HOW TO SUBMIT
Ironically, I'm not doing this through tumblr's built in post submissions feature. But this is because I honestly still don't know how the damn thing works yet despite being on this site so long, So submissions will be taken through our inbox or PMs.
(Not to sound rude but I'd really much prefer to not be forced to message back about needing more info, PLEASE PLEASE include it the first time around or it'll take so much longer for yours to be posted (if at all) because I have a very hard time talking to internet strangers due to reasons I'm not obligated to tell you)
[Bear in mind though Anon is currently OFF, although this may change eventually]

So last night whilst I was trying to go to sleep my brain decided to randomly start thinking abt rayllum. Bc, I mean, why the fork not? So I ended up thinking up pretty much the entire plot of an event that happens in a future season(probs s5). If this happens they better put my name in the credits istg-
CONTEXT:
There was some speculation a while back abt a stabbing and Callum running away and yada yada
_________
Okay so essentially two things could happen:
1. Aaravos possesses Callum and when Callum comes out of his trance he realises that he's done something super bad(idk what yet just bear with me here) and runs away in a panic- like just bolts. The other guys(aka Soren, Ezran, Zym, Etc) are occupied(*cough* or dead *cough*) and Rayla turns and runs after him.
~Callum turned and twisted between trees, tripping over a small root once, but getting straight back up and continuing running. He ran with tears slowly streaking down his face until he could no longer feel his legs and he slowed, quickly slipping between a crack in the side of a hill that opened into a twisting cave. Backing away from the alternate entrance, he slowly turned around, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. 'That didn't really happen. It's just a dream' he thought to himself before opening his eyes to look into the dark abyss that was the cave, however it was only a split second before a familiar voice sounded from where he had entered.
"Callum, it's not your fault". Callum jumped and there was a pause of silence between them before the all-too-familiar Rayla spoke up again. "What happened, I mean." A brief silence followed, the air stagment and salty. Callum took a step back.
"Rayla, stay away from me" He began, taking another step back. A look of confusion crossed the elve's face, but she understood. "I don't want to hurt you"
"Callum-"
"Please" He begged quietly through tears, taking another step back.
"Callum-"
"No, Rayla, he could come back at any moment-"
"CALLUM!" The irritated elf shouted, a slight echo following, however like the echo, the anger died quickly and she began walking towards him. Callum had finally listened and had paused his pleads. "I know you won't hurt me, dummy"
"But-" Callum began to protest.
"Look" she began. "It's not you that's doing this- it's Aaravos. He can't get to you if you're this far away from the mirror"
"He's getting stronger-"
"Callum I KNOW this isn't what you're worried about. If not Aaravos, what's actually happening?" Callum tensed, and Rayla knew she had hit the nail on the head.
~damn maybe I should turn that into a oneshot. I didn't know I could even still write half decently~
2. My fav one 😝
Okeh so essentially Callum is being controlled by Aaravos like super bad and can't get away and whatever, and so basically whenever Callum comes through he's begging Rayla to kill him like they discussed in S4, and whenever Aaravos comes through he's going along with Callum's plan, which seems kinda sus ngl, so Rayla gets overwhelmed and listens to Callum and stabs him and then whilst Callum is literally dying we go into Callum's mind and Dark Callum is back but with a twiiiiist
~"CALLUM NO-" it all played in slow motion; the moment he sacrificed himself by touching a shard of the mirror. Aaravos jumped inside of him, free of his shackles inside the mirror. Callum's ragdoll-like body slumped to its knees, hunched over and eyes wide. Similar to (*insert time period*) earlier, he flicked his head up and stared Rayla dead in the eye, however these weren't Callum's eyes- these eyes were dark and hollow, a bright light covering the pupil, iris and white of the eye, reflecting only the pure essence of evil. Rayla gasped and stood back, time seeming to return to normal again. Callum- no, Aaravos- slowly began walking over to Rayla, the moonshadow elf tensing, gripping the hilt of her blades tighter as he approached. She waited for the man to say something- insult her, even. Instead of speaking, Aaravos continued circling Rayla, surveying her intensley; the moonshadow elf spoke up.
"What do you want from Callum? From me?" She asked, her voice dangerously low, but stern and stoic as well. The elf-in-human's-clothing continued circling her slowly, but held his head up as he spoke, Aaravos's all-too-familiar voice breaking a thick silence.
"This is about the boy?" He asked. "This is about what I want?" He said, his low voice echoing around, seeming to come from multiple directions at a time. Rayla wasn't sure if she should answer; and so she kept her lips pressed tightly together, her nails almost leaving marks in the skin on her palm she had wrapped her hand so tightly around the blade's handle.
"So, tell me, assassin" he spat the last word as if it were venom being injected into his skin. "Is it really about the chance of your one and only love losing his life to me" there was a slight pause. "Or the wealth and prosperity that will be bestowed upon the land once I have my place?"
Aaravos came to a stand a few feet in front of Rayla, staring her dead in the eye, a clear indication that he knew exactly the kind of power he possessed, and he knew exactly how to use it.
"You're not here to help us; to help humans, either" She began, not breaking eye contact. She wanted- she NEEDED to find the right way around this. "You want power- moreso than you already have. My question is: why use Callum to get it? Why not just find your own way out? The mirror is shattered; why aren't you roaming free at your own will?" The man paused and a look of almost confusion crossed his face, in deep thought for a split second.
"You say that as if I dont already have my will"
"That's because you don't- you use the will of others"
"Oh? Can you give me an..." He leaned closer, his glowing white eyes only centimetres from her stubborn face. "...example?" Rayla took a shaky breath in, hoping the startouch elf hadn't picked up on her fingers twitching.
She used one of her blades and pressed the blunt side gently to Callum's chest, not using nearly enough pressure to tear clothing, let alone draw blood. "Like right now. You're using the mage's will to reflect your own". Aaravos frowned distinctly, taking a step back and turning to face away from the moonshadow elf, hands behind his back.
"What if I were to bring the owner of this body back for a second? Would that change it?" He tried making a deal, looking back at Rayla over his shoulder with bright, white eyes. A shiver ran down her spine. There was something about this- about Aaravos- that wasn't right. Maybe it was the odd angle his neck was twisted at, or maybe it was the fact that in this possessed state, the real Callum could be sitting back and watching, listening to everything that was happening, and not being able to control any of it. He was merely a spectator.
"Perhaps" The woman answered, keeping her posture straight and grip on the blades tight. Aaravos paused for a second, lifting a hand to his chin in thought; he turned to face Rayla.
"Very well" he proclaimed, giving Rayla only a second to process that he had agreed to his own deal. Callum's body slumped to the ground again as his eyes went back to having the distinct white and pupil of a human eye, his irises returning back to their deep green shine.
"Rayla..." He started, his usual voice clearly stressed. "Kill-" but before he could finish, he stood straight up again, his eyes being once again flooded with blinding white light.
"You said-!" Rayla began to reason, now clearly panicked at how much pure agony the real Callum had been in. Aaravos leapt forward, pressing a finger to her mouth in a 'shh' motion.
"I did say, 'for a second', didn't I?" He claimed, quoting what he had offered seconds earlier.
"You're SICK-" Rayla began to crack. What use was keeping her cool if she wouldnt- couldnt- win either way?
Aaravos took a few steps back, letting out a low, sinister chuckle. "Am I? Or is it you? Are you merely hallucinating? Am I truly real? Do you have a fever, my friend?" The man questioned in a cool tone, again circling the moonshadow elf, his voice seeming to echo and come from every direction.
"That's not what I meant" Rayla began, however ceased to say any more once the familiar surroundings of inside the dragon queen's nest suddenly switched to a flat lilac wasteland, red dust rising and falling in a split-second motion to hide the transition, background silencing completely. She gasped slightly, inhaling the last of the dust and coughing.
"Did you hear what the boy said?" He laughed loudly. "He wanted you to kill him! How thoughtful!" There was a brief pause. "Oh, but, there's just one problem..." He slowly shook his head and looked at the dirt touching his shoes. "I was always under the impression that you would never hurt anyone, especially the the ones you love"
Rayla stiffened and straightened her posture again, somewhat regaining the use of her limbs, adrenaline pumping. "I'm an assassin" she declared bravely, despite her past 'assassin' experiences.
Aaravos slowed his circling, walking in a manner that sent chills down the moonshafow elf's spine. "You might be an assassin..." He spoke in a dry tone, "but you can't..." Suddenly, Rayla saw a flash of light and could clearly see the real Aaravos- a tall startouch elf muttering the words "...kill..." The light faded in an instant, being replaced with illusions of words swirling, quiet whispers echoing draconic words around her in every which direction.
"Argh!" She exclaimed, trying to see where Aaravos was- not Callum- AARAVOS. She couldn't risk endangering Callum by hurting his body and not Aaravos. She had to time this perfectly.
"So... what'll it be?" Aaravos's deep voice echoed through her head, seeming to bounce off walls.
Callum's panicked voice peirced the air, his eyes flashing to green again while he spoke. "Rayla, you ha-"
Eyes flashed back to their possessed state. "You have to be tough" the archmage's voice came back.
"-kill me-" Eyes flashed to green as Callum spoke.
"Yes, kill him" Aaravos protested. Eyes white.
"Kill him" Green.
"Please, do" White.
"Shut up- just shut up!" Rayla protested, the echoing experience making her dizzy. Who would she listen to? She couldn't kill Callum; even if it's not killing Callum.
"It's the only way!" Callum's familiar voice and green eyes begged, pleaded.
"As if this would hurt me" Aaravos came back.
"NOW-" Callum screeched, and once Aaravos had taken over, Rayla knew what she had to do. Before the white-eyed corpse could say anything further, Rayla drew her blades and took her first casualty. Time seemed to freeze; Aaravos stilled, glowing white eyes widening, face becoming pale as he realised what had happened. He slowly touched a finger to where the numbness began, blood caking his hand and staining his clothes, realising he had been run through the side with one of Rayla's butterfly blades, in which she was still grasping tightly, panting, not yet taking in what she had just gone through with. She withdrew the blade, blood rapidly spilling from the wound, and possessed-callum-aka-aaravos's eyes faded to complete blackness, falling back and hitting the ground with a thud. Standing up, Rayla took a moment to process her actions; gasping, the elf turned to face the person she had killed just a moment earlier. She had filled her duty. It just took longer than Runaan had originally wanted.
"Callum? Callum!" Rayla lunged forward, sliding onto her knees and dropping her blood-stained blade into the dirt, in which the landscape illusion had not yet disappeared.

perpetual novice
hey blog, i've thought about you every day since i made you, and i couldn't quite settle on what to feed you next, but like, whatever!
at this moment in our arena, please welcome me and my haircut (!!) and the girls on tinder and jane: an abortion service, plus the sophie lewis book on my nightstand I could practically draw "z"s above, (that's my bad.)
blog, I'd like to take the time to say that I've been feeling vulnerable when it comes to queer dating! because obviously, but also because of perceived external judgement from within the community, ow. looked in the mirror my therapist held up for me and saw that I'm much more comfortable with my gender than my sexuality, after being asked to spell it all out. this is, not in terms of definition-- we're solid there-- but praxis. and i think this is because gender is something you can do more fully alone in your bedroom. sexuality is too, but at least people can demand more than your word for it. right? haha
yeah, been falling in love with this unreal image of a gay relationship i have in my head. eye contact and shit, you know. and more 'equal' stuff, including but not limited to a kind of greater understanding and intentional kindness. still really mad about the patriarchy, who would've guessed? bunch of guys were talking with my one man professor, who is great, in class today and i started thinking about barnard, lmao. and i think that's fair--- not that i should be concerning myself with the look of the opposite*, but worth saying, i guess. it's fair to be feeling done! rahhhh (there's obviously so much more going on here re. my anger with men but I will not [yet] divulge to my baby blog) *i.e., worrying about looking like a feminist that's "unfair"
anyway, if i could make a mood board, which i cannot without getting frustrated, for my current passionspace, it would contain the following: lots of soft pinks, purples, and dark grey-blue, the end of "parachute" by caroline polachek {starting at "closing in"} (what a mother figure), splashed puddles of water, this specific capricorn-themed mug with hot tea, 'full surrogacy now', BLÅHAJ, my noise-cancelling headphones, masculine clothing, flowers of the wild variety, tissues, PLL (got such a crush on spencer), the quote "finally there's a way to be both free and safe", 'bottoms' promo art, and other elements to ensure cohesiveness.
so it's almost sweater season, team. i've gotta take my winter stuff out from under my bed-- an event which i'm already planning catering and lighting for. figured out that i'm the type of person that needs to remind themself to light candles, etc. an entailment of the great bath bomb revelation from years past. <- solid me lore
on a similar note of control: craving leadership of late. i want to run shit so bad. god i'd be so good. the dog sits in me, unbarking and chained. looked into theatre production opportunities, ended up feeling that thing i haven't quite found the right way to express yet... degrounded? fucking sucks is what it is. when you go too far up the imagination slide; a kind of altitude sickness. so maybe i won't be doing tech exactly but soon i'll have another full-time job. lol. that'll be cool. hopefully i can make shit happen. feel myself have an effect on the world.
🎶 it's time to be a big girl now 🎶
i wish i could better articulate my current thoughts on "'girl' stuff," especially as its been coming up in the dumb discourse recently... i think i'm too online. well, now I have to go finish typing up my geometry homework in an itsy bitsy coding language I've caught onto-- for extra credit!
the door? the gate? no, just kate 9/18/2023
p.s. god i fucking love caroline polachek's music

#FLATOUT 4 TOTAL INSANITY BUY SERIES#
MONTREAL – – Faithful fans of the rough and tumble FlatOut racing series can experience the rebirth of destruction and mayhem as U&I Entertainment, in partnership with dedicated racing development team Kylotonn Games and publisher Strategy First, launches FlatOut 4®: Total Insanity. Running around tracks with friends can be fun, but it won’t be where you spend the majority of your time.DESTRUCTION DERBY STYLE RACING GAME FLATOUT 4: TOTAL INSANITYAVAILABLE NOW AT RETAIL IN NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA While it is a huge improvement over Flatout 3, there isn’t enough actual racing available to make the purchase worth it. Conclusionįor racing fans without a nostalgic attachment to the previous Flatout titles, I’m not sure this title is something you will enjoy. This mode alone is almost worth the price, if you enjoy rag-doll physics titles. I’ve lost countless hours on numerous nights to these modes, and although we began zeroing in on 4-5 of our favorites, we continued to enjoy what was being offered. I enjoyed trying to beat the scores of others online in particular events, but I found the game was at its best when I had friends and family over. The 12 mini games built into the game provide hours and hours of fun. I’ve been fairly critical overall of the racing and destruction derby aspects of Flatout 4, but I want to finish this review talking once again about the mini games included. As your progress through the three tiers, you will earn credits and have the ability to purchase better and more aesthetically pleasing vehicles, but you’ll soon realise that each tier is generally a rehash of what was done previously, but with better, faster cars. If you purchase Flatout 4, your best to stick with playing the mini games, and ideally, locally.Ĭareer Mode attempts to make you care about the racing aspect of the game, but driving over seemingly similar tracks in old rusty cars isn’t as exciting as you might think. The destruction arenas are definitely more fun than racing, but don’t capture the spirit of competition that the mini games do. The true fun lies in that aspect of the game. The more I raced, the more I longed for more mini game, multiplayer modes. Establish and early lead and you’ll likely breeze through the race and win with ample time to spare get stuck at the start line, however, and you’ll likely never catch the leader, even if you race extremely well. What makes this mode more frustrating, however, is that there doesn’t seem to be any consistency in the AI opponents. With only a few environments to race in, and what seems like reused track sections over and over again for ‘new’ tracks, there wasn’t a whole lot drawing me back into the smash-em-up racing mode. My enjoyment of Flatout stopped once I hit the racetracks, however. As this is not the norm, I really appreciate the developers including this feature. The fact that Flatout 4 offers this local alternative is really important for myself, as I tend to play most of my multiplayer games locally with friends and family. These games can be tackled either in solo play – which pits you against the best in the world with the online leader boards – or locally, in a pass-and-play situation. The rag-doll physics mini games are better than ever, and Flatout 4 doesn’t disappoint when playing games of curling, beer pong, and much, much more. Flatout 4 is an enjoyable experience, but won’t be for everyone. When compared to other Flatout games in the franchise, the fourth iteration does a great job to cleaning up some of the problems present, but also introduces a few new ones. To say that a number of the previous Flatout titles were a disappointment would be an understatement, so heading into Flatout 4, I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about what I was about to play.

☆ ALICIA’S MONTHLY MEDIA MENTIONS: AUGUST `22
hellaurrrr!!! I hope everyone had a great August. Recently, my poem + art piece about August starting making the rounds and I’m very grateful for everyone who supported and shared it - thank you! I hope as the season comes to a close, we all transition into a smooth year end. I didn’t make as much as I wanted to this month; but it has been quite eventful! I finished my summer job :( I miss it very much, hung out with my coworkers, got my full license, spent two weeks alone at my home, and had my first experience as a background actor (!) (I'm very surprised I got to cross that off my summer bucket list lol). Please forgive me - my media list might seem a bit short this month, but I hope to discover more throughout September ♡
Music: (August 2022 Playlist)
NewJeans 1st EP ‘New Jeans’ - NewJeans
Girl group debuts have been KILLING it these past two years. NewJeans is no exception. These girls slayed. Attention is a great debut song, Cookie is also super cute! I didn’t like Hype Boy on my first listen - it just didn’t sound much different than what other groups were putting out - but as soon as I saw some MEN hating on it, I flipped switch because I know (!) they’re making fun of those girls for no reason. Hurt is my least favourite track off the EP, but only because the other songs are so fun! A great summer release, and I wish these girls a bright future. I’m also unsure of the scandals going on with Min Hee Jin, but she is someone I really admire creatively. I trust she’s going to do NewJeans good, and I’m happy she’s founded a new group to be her muses and creative outlet.
Stupid - HYO
I go crazy to this shit honestly I wish I could dance well ‘cause this song is so fun to dance to, but alas....
Ending Credit - Uhm Jung Hwa
A great song to listen to if you’ve gotten over Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush, but still want to enjoy those 80s synths.
Darkness - 2021 Remaster - Sweet Trip
LOVE this song. I wish I could make music so that I could make a song like this.
Off To The Races - Lana Del Ray
Ok. I never had a Lana phase, and I don’t think I ever will, but this song slays! She’s so expressive with her voice. She should release one of those Recording Behinds like idols do because I’m genuinely interested in what her process is.
Aubrey Plaza - Nick Ward
This is a very chill song - apparently it was in Never Have I Ever season 3, but I genuinely don’t remember it at all. Inspired by the cover for one of my latest art endeavours.
BLACKPINK 2021 ‘THE SHOW’ LIVE - BLACKPINK
If you constantly listen to BP, listening to the live albums are a bit more refreshing because of the different mixes. Particularly Don’t Know What To Do - Live has me ASCENDING into heaven. I say this with my chest - it’s better than the original. The transition between the songs in Love To Hate Me + You Never Know - Live is so sudden but SLAPS!!!
Fantasy - Mariah Carey
I murder this song when I sing along to it (and not in a good way).
This Is A Life - Son Lux, Mitski, David Byrne
I only watched Everything Everywhere All At Once one time - and quite frankly I don’t remember all the details of this mindfuck movie, including this track! It makes me feel like that gif where Kermit is floating in a circle in an inflatable pool.
Video:
Alice in Borderland (2020)
Surprised to see just how similar Squid Game was to Alice in Borderland. I NEED to know how they got into the game world. It’s a great show. I like the fashion/styling in the show as well. I actually recently got some grandma shirts, so I feel like I’d fit right in at The Beach.
Seulgi GOT The Beat Fancam
What can I say? Seulgi is the ace of the 3rd generation.
Ugly Delicious - Season 2
For some reason, I accidentally watched Season 2 before Season 1. I loved learning about different foods. I particularly found the episode on Indian cuisine interesting. The biodiversity of bananas and the importance of food at Indian weddings were particular points of interest for me.
Reading:
Enya Umanzor and Drew Phillips Talk ‘Emergency Intercom’ - Bailey Richards
I’ve been watching Enya since Vine and Drew since they started collaborating on YouTube. They’re both people I really admire creatively, and honestly the ‘Media of the Week’ segment on Emergency Intercom is the whole reason I started these Monthly Media Mentions. I’m happy to see they’re getting mainstream recognition and that they can express themselves beyond their podcast and own streams of social media.
The Wealthy Barber: The Common Sense Guide to Becoming Financially Independent - David Chilton
My aunt recommended me this book. I’m still in the middle of reading it. Honestly I don’t prefer this ‘storytelling’ style of giving advice because it is fictional. So far, investing 10% of your monthly income in mutual funds is all I’ve picked up.
Art:
Luca Meneghel for Vogue Portugal with Caterina Ravaglia
Such an awesome shoot. I love the unnaturally bright colours against blue hour and the intensely textured fabrics in the woods. Really makes the fashion stand out, but somewhere melds together to curate a great concept.
Miscellaneous:
This New York pizza dough recipe!
Takes like 2 days. Excellent outcome - worth the effort. I made a bunch of pizza for my family once they got back from vacation and they really appreciated it!
This red velvet crinkle cookies recipe!
I’ve NEVER made cookies that turned out so good. I always burn them. Leave them in the oven at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes and 30 seconds EXACTLY (suggested by my coworker)!
This chocolate cake recipe!
AMAZING. I did add a bit extra flour to make it more “solid”, but the original recipe is SO moist and delicious. Please make all these recipes.

Credits will be given to you, naturally, and your pages' links shall be posted too. Please let me know if I am allowed to do it :) I would be really thankful since this is such a wonderful idea! Thank you!
Hello @paljuresji ! We actually hijacked this idea (with permission) from a couple friends of ours who started it in the AFTG Fandom. You're more than welcome to borrow it! If you want to link to this MDZS Mixtape page since we probably have overlap in writers who would participate in that, that would be totally fine!
You don't need to link our personal pages since we aren't the instigators behind this particular brain child, but we're glad other Fandoms think it sounds fun! Good luck!
