So like the only WIP I have any actual prose written for rn is my post-game bloodweave fic so I'm struggling to find non-spoilery bits from that ASJKKHJF

When first light begins to peek along the horizon, dotting the city in gold and orange, Astarion will retreat into their tower once more. He’ll have some witty remark on the tip of his tongue, always ready to dance around the most wounded parts of himself as if to minimize whatever damage he still expects those around him to inflict. It’s a cycle Gale desperately yearns to change. To see those same gold rays of light play over the angular planes of his face once more, instead of the departing shadow of him.

But all Gale can think about when he sees it is how he’d stood in this exact spot after he’d been cursed with the orb. How he’d stared, equal parts dumbstruck and mortified, at the freshly placed burn on his chest. The bruise in the center hadn’t yet had time to form. It raised and blistered aggressively over the following days, adding another layer to the pain and confusion that already addled his heart and mind, but to see it after it’d healed, the perfectly formed lines of it — it almost felt like a brand. An artistic rendition of his folly, embedded into his skin forever.

☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

I think the very first BG3 things I ever started working on was a bloodweave fic with the concept of the tadpole mind stuff being a little more broken? I liked the idea of (act 3 spoilers here oop) Gale's Netherese magic bullshit reacting to the Netherese magic bullshit with the tadpoles. Very fun concept and it was honestly just a good excuse to take force bonds from Star Wars and shove it into BG3, but I don't think I'll ever have the time or energy to actually write it. But the concept of those two kind of being stuck in each other's heads without a way to turn it off was SO amusing to me.

Not yet but I live in fear every day especially since I'm dipping my toe in the Republic Commandos pond and I know the girlies are passionate

I do and it's ridiculously graphic HAHAHA no but there's a reason I haven't posted any Rexsoka smut. Makin y'all wait for it until they COMMIT, gotta keep that tension in there somewhere uwu. But wlw, mlw, mlm, aliens and cyborgs gonna work their way in there eventually (?) I have Not Out Loud, which is an mlm fic with Boba tying up Cal and facefucking him (Kesett nation rise)

Well Do Not Go Gentle is a huge fucking project that I HOPE I finish one day

I think I'm pretty good at action. I enjoy it which helps lmao

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I get really ahead of myself laying out hints and red herrings which I then forget about (Princess For A Year especially is the worst about this, I am so sorry for all of those hints about Sylen being a pretend Mandalorian I fucked up so bad with that one but I'm going to rewrite it eventually to bring back a bunch of my dropped subplots)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I enjoy it and do so regularly. Mando'a nuhur'shya ni ru'kar'tayli. And it makes my brain work in unexpected ways, it's like a puzzle trying to figure out the wacky ass baby's-first-conlang grammar that is Karen's creation (what the fuck kind of language doesn't have a passive voice)

OKAY OKAY TECHNICALLY, TECHNICALLY????? It was the Lion King. I was in first grade and we had to write a little storybook and illustrate the pages they gave us with crayons and my story was How Simba Lost His Mane lmfaoooo

it felt silly/over-emotional so i took it down 😭 but what really hit me first was the thematic connection between chasing something you know is going to cause you pain, because it's a calling and you can't do anything else - "what would you trade the pain for?"/"I wanted that pain," and realizing you wouldn't give it up, and that seeking that with such a desire makes you feel out of place - "this city always hangs a little bit lonely on me, loose"/"my town was a wasteland, full of cages, full of fences." so you escape and follow the dream, but it's tumultuous and requires giving something up too, "we were a painting you could never frame, and you were the sunshine of my lifetime"/"my boy was a montage, a slow motion love potion...he was sunshine," but surrendering that other life is the necessity, because otherwise you'd lose the passion, and that's what's unlivable. "inscribed by stone and faded by the rain: give up what you love, give up what you love before it does you in"/"all of me changed like midnight rain." how as you follow that path, wanting so desperately to create your art, the fame that comes with it gnaws at its edges, and transforms you, and somehow you have to keep surviving that, finding the heart of it anyway, "I just about snapped, don't look back"/"I guess sometimes we all get some kind of haunted." that it's the kind of pain you feel to get good in the end, and sometimes love has to be armed with a little dagger to make it through to the other side.

you should have left this up because i love it! i wish i had more to add, this is very poignant. it really is a calling for them and i think that's been really fun for the fandom to collectively realize about taylor (that she felt called to it, she had confidence in her plan from a young age, etc.)--i think we all knew it, but seeing it pay off in such a huge way (through good and bad) has changed how we think about it.

4. Worst decision for [x]’s “new direction”?

Cant rly think of much to say abt this outside of I rly dont like how current JLD is like x_x Rory was the only saving grace but the overall direction feels very messy and confused and that ram v imo does not know what he actually wants to do with the team…… also he writes Zee bad 💀💔 also I think the current spiderman is bad but mostly because it’s super boring and not interesting and they're wasting ben reilly as a character by making him peter…..2!

The Black ant Arc with Eric O’Grady if it was actually more about identity issues and coping with the idea of being a man whose also dead / if you’re actually him or not things like that….. uhmmmm everything about husk and chamber in Gen X would have been way better if condensed down into a story about two teenagers who impulsively get together for their own selfish reasons but realise its not healthy or good for either so break up and remain friends…. Uhm uhm uhm Lightray having depression and major trauma issues would be REALLY good to see if actually written competently….. Gus Yale and Count Vertigo's endings to coping with their bipolar disorder not being literally fucking ableist!!!!!!!!! Also Bronze tiger's arc of self hatred and low self esteem actually being resolved in a more kind and thoughtful way to him and not bordering on being LITERALLY racist…….

16. How has DC/Marvel/publishing company butchered a character that’s not your fave?

uhmmmm i love like almost every character i talk abt a lot but probably how poorly marvel keeps treating wanda maximoff x_x like holy shit the amount of racism and ableism these ppl keep putting out against this poor woman over a bad storyline…. similar thing w the insane ableism with babs TBH like holy shit im so so so so tired of abled bodied oracle or babs batgirl all the time running around fuck all…. Let it fucking END

23. If you could erase one comic book from canon, what would it be?

this one is sooooooooooo hard bc i hate many a book but probably the sandman by n3il g@iman ass…… literally such an awful boring bigoted horrible book that has like literally no merits outside of some good ideas and some nice artwork… its so popular and overhyped and for what! For what! To hurt me personally????????
