Your writing is so fascinating to me because it’s like a fern, it curls forwards and backwards at the same time. I’m not sure how you do it but I love it so much, you tell the present and the past at the same time in one coherent story, memories blend seamlessly into the current perspective it’s wildly impressive. But it’s never confusing either, it’s very easy to tell when it shifts to past tense/memories and then back again. I like that you don’t have to set up massive precursor backgrounds when you write drabbles, because surprise the precursor is actually the presentcursor you weave background and character history into the storyline so well. It never feels like you’re straying from the plot to provide context, like there’s never a break in focus or time bubbles. Not sure how to explain it sorry for the long message tldr I Love You

I can't tell you how many times I read this, always in complete awe that you're saying such incredibly lovely things about my writing. I'm genuinely such a mess over this. A fern??? Ahhhhh, this is too much for me to even begin to process, and I tried so many times to write something in reply that wasn't just me resting my forehead on my keyboard and letting my tears type something legible out but nothing really conveyed the sheer depth of how hard this hit me when I read it.

I worried quite a bit about the many shifts in narrative whenever I write something because it is very much a nonsensical journey to a single, conclusive line at the end, and I'm never sure if the little threads even weave together the way I want them to. But!! To say this bolstered my confidence in just enjoying the journey to get there would be an understatement. I think I'll now forever look at the ebbs and flows, and spinning these little yarns as a curling fern, and I can't thank you enough for that.

And please don't apologise!!! The image your words conjured up was gorgeous, and so touching. I kept re-reading it over and over again. Genuinely, thank you so much for this 🖤

yahoo!! sorry for taking so long to get to this!! i kinda had a small lil slump for a few days but im back!! sorry for any typos or if these seem... bllluguuguh!!! im still trying to get through that lil slump so my brains still a lil... boo!!! obligatory these are with characters that i think would be compatible with an ace reader so this isnt going to follow my base/go to list of characters! a lot of these are going to dip into admins experience as someone on the ace spectrum (asexual/aegosexual!) reader is written as vague ace identity but like. mostly involved to be ace. admittedly this leans more into most of this being ace hcs since i think for the most part they dont care/dont find issue with your identity

Characters: Slenderman, Trenderman, Eyeless Jack, Masky

CWs: mentions of sex but like. nothing too bad mostly just vague sex drives and that sort of thing, really!

Slenderman;

honestly i think he might be on the ace spectrum, or maybe thats because i dont think he really knows what sex /is/

okay well he does know what it is but he only understands it on a surface level, but otherwise he doesnt really care much for it in an everyday setting

yeah i think hes on the spectrum; i also think he might be on the aro spectrum!

only really initiates intimacy if you want it (reminder that not all aces dont have sex! attraction stuff is the main thing) but otherwise i would write him the same way as i do with a non-asexual reader!

extra headannon since his is kinda short but really hes probably the most supportive out of any creepypasta simply because i like to write him as this entity that doesnt interact much with others but is still. curious. this man does not know what lgbtphobia is (and thinks its dumb when he does find out!)

Trenderman;

very similar with slenderman but more in tuned with identity stuff and things like that

personally i hc him to be greysexual, or demisexual! i think trender is like. the only one out of the 3 brothers (that i claim) that i dont see being ready to get down and dirty? like unlike slender he KNOWS what it is and understands attraction and all that but just doesnt. feel it

so he gets it! he interacts with people more than slender but like. not openly, i mean like not as himsef?! this is kind of a side tangent but i like to think that slender beings can create false human bodies and trender is the main one who uses it

anyways! im kind of getting off topic

he understands the stigma and hate ace people can get so out of the four characters today i think he would be the most likely to offer an ear when youre getting flack

i wish i had more for trender as well but this is genuinely the first time ive written for him so im still all OWOWOOOUGH!! with how i wanna portray him

okay so! the two above characters are fine with it because theyre on the spectrum above but i feel like eyeless jack just outright doesnt care if your ace or not since he has a fairly low sex drive 99% of the time

sappy man, one of those "i prefer people based on their personality rather than their looks" but not in the "im so deep for this and im lying through my teeth" way i (personally) see people say (school was ROUGH man) but in a "im literally turning into a monster my skin is fucking blue and starting to rot i have no place to say anything" way

ok in all seriousness though i have no idea where to even START because there is SO MUCH!!!! i cannot possibly cover it all in one post. so i will just give a basic rundown under the cut.

as i briefly addressed in some of my earlier posts, the rose/violet routes are the equivalent of the emotion and logic routes for ytr, w/ the difference being that the choice in the 2nd main game vote is between shin and sou instead of shin and kanna. i wanted to take a different approach tonally, since unlike kanna who is a total sweetheart, these two are Very Bitter and Vengeful (in other words ryoko is soooooo screwed no matter what she does LMAO). i tried my best to balance out both routes to make em have more of a bittersweet feeling

shin’s actions are still pretty much the same as they are canonly at the end of the 2nd main game. if ryoko votes for him then he will set up a Nice Good sara ai for her :) and if ryoko votes for sou then instead he will set up a Fake Bad sara ai :((( this difference ends up massively affecting ryoko’s psyche in each route so i will get into it

rose route sara ai scene: so yeah the express intent of the ai that shin sets up here is to torment ryoko. and like i said in my last post ryoko literally just punches the shit out of the monitor and breaks it. like when she realizes what’s happening she just says “no❤️” but she is of course still INCREDIBLY shaken up by it. she already feels so guilty over sara’s death, and she’s having to cope with the weight of everything else as well— she doesn’t know how much longer she can keep it together. my idea is that kugie would find ryoko crying in the room of rubble, and they’d have a very touching scene where kugie reassures ryoko she doesn’t have to handle everything by herself. that everyone is in this together and so kugie will always be there for her, the same way ryoko was for her :) it’s very sweet and i love them dhshhdh#hshx

so after ryoko gets back on her feet, she’s able to cope a bit better but throughout the events of chapter 3 she is still very much in a frail state. like, extreme emotional turmoil. yet at the same time she’s burdening herself with less of the load and learning to rely on her friends

violet route sara ai scene: in the violet route ryoko does get her touching goodbye with sara!!! yay!!! sara inspires ryoko to keep moving forward and not give in. she tells ryoko how much she meant to her as a best friend, and for a moment they just get to be sappy and sweet :,) so as ryoko leaves, she’s certain she can be confident now and she’ll be able to help everyone and oh god why is sou here

yeah if you assumed sou would also try to do something terrible here, you were right. although instead of taking a psychological approach like shin, he decides to go directly for ryoko’s jugular ^_^ i mean that so literally btw. when sou goes into the room of rubble and sees ryoko standing over shin’s corpse and yet still looking so hopeful something in him just Snaps. and he starts trying to choke her to death. awkward. he does not go through with killing her though. bc he realizes he has a “much better plan” (i will get to this in a little bit) anyways im sorry for sou beinngterrible i promise he gets better (he gets much worse but i promise hes still a sympathetic character in this au i promise i pr)

violet route ryoko is veeeeery interesting to me because while she’s able to keep it together better, and not so distraught over sara’s death anymore, in a way because she loves sara so much, she feels obligated to “live up to her name” after she’s gone, trying to stay strong and take everyone’s burdens unto herself not recognizing how unhealthy it is. but through this behavior she’s pushing herself away from others more, and as a result of that anzu later makes some very bad choices (murder) (it’s ironic because sara would certainly Not want ryoko to burden herself) (but ryoko also wants to be someone who sara could be proud of) (not realizing sara loves her just the way she is) (augh. can you tell im normal about them)

OK ENOUGH RYOKO now let’s get to the awful awful green(teal?) haired men and their terrible decisions. starting with shin

shin acts pretty similar to how he does in the logic route here. very much “i have no allies >:( i’m only working with you out of necessity” behavior. although while he is initially hellbent on vengeance against ryoko and the others, he sort of just ends up…faltering. i don’t see him harboring as much antagonism against ryoko as he does against sara, partially because she doesn’t have the crazy win percentages sara does and also partially because she has more of a blunt bundle-of-sunshine personality, and really couldn’t keep a secret to save her life, making her seem less suspicious to him overall. so i definitely see shin being “softer” here, still being clear about his resentment but less in a “i’m going to kill you one day” way and more in a “i want nothing to do with you after this” way

sou on the other hand. jesus christ he is on his LAST STRAW. ok idk if you’ve seen that one chapter 3 cut content scene anon but i decided to take inspiration from that for sou’s actions here because i’m incredibly abnormal about it. (IDK IF THE TRANSLATION IM WATCHING IS ACCURATE BUT STILL…) basically in it sou asks mr. chidouin/meister if he can end the death game, and then he basically resolves that “to end it as soon as possible, i’ll kill everyone myself” which. ok girl. and then meister replies “it’s broken you after all” WHICH. OK GIRL? whay does that mean.

so yeah his ingenious “plan” in ytr is that in order to prevent another death game from ever happening again, he wants to destroy the game from the inside by killing everyone at asunaro + all of the participants. his logic behind this is that there’s nothing for him to go back to, he betrayed asunaro and the person he betrayed them for in the first place is dead. he also figures he’s likely to die soon if another main game rolls around and so well. if he’s going to go out might as well go out in flames!

of course this plan immediately has a wrench thrown in it when his mother shows up and he is plunged headfirst back into childhood trauma. and also the fact that he truly does care about both kai and kugie (and maple if she’s still alive at this point) even though he’s desperately trying to act like he doesn’t. so much like his cringefail best friend he ends up being much less of a villain throughout chapter 3 and more just a Guy Who’s Having a Really Bad Week

ok i cannot. write anymore i am so sorry if this is completely incomprehensible iwas drafting this at 1am. but if you are interested in hearing more i give full permission to you (or anyone else reading this) to ask me about specific events that happen in chapter 3 on either route because i would be very glad to talk about them 👍

ALSJALKSSK I haven’t played Yelan’s story quest so I haven’t heard this yet!!! Oh man oh man don’t get me started! (I am, in fact, started)

A letter from me… and a letter from you 💕

Pantalone’s feeling romantic and decides to write you a letter! We also get a glimpse of him reading the one you sent in return <3 (poison eating, captivity, dottore mentions)

Pantalone is a romantic. When he was younger, he wasn’t the type to be sappy or emotional- not that he’s emotional or sappy now- but he does appreciate the art of being a romantic, presenting oneself in an enticing way, being a gentleman in your presence- doing what he must to show off as a lover. One of these romantic traditions he follows is the Snezhnayan custom of writing letters. All nations are still stuck in an era where letters are the main form of communication but letters written for the sake of love are considered an art that each culture has perfected in their own way.

In Liyue, where he grew up, paper was dyed with fruit juice or coffee, all of it was done by hand, a labor of love performed by the sender. Flowers, lanterns or animals would be drawn in the margarins of the paper and then the letter itself was usually kept short. The effort put into the preparation of the letter itself was meant to show dedication and of course, love. Love was poured into every fiber of the paper. Here in Snezhnaya, things were different. The Liyuean art of letter dying was thought to be strange. Here, lovers wrote pages and pages for each other. Not only that, they would infuse ink with their perfume for their lover to smell, to feel closer to them. Pages and pages of curly, scented writing, words that inspired vivid mental pictures that would leave someone feeling warm in the face and loins upon reading. So here, the banker sits at his messy desk, illuminated by candle light as he pours his heart out for you, smirking to himself as he feels his own arousal as he writes. When he’s finished, he takes his time folding the letter, sliding it into its ornate envelope. He heats wax and presses it with his signature mora stamp and addresses it to you, the love of his life. The banker raises his voice, demanding that an underling deliver this letter to you before nightfall the next day. His cheeks heat up as he imagines you touching yourself as you read what he wrote… oh, how he can’t wait to return to Snezhnaya to ruin you <3

The restlessness that came from waiting for your reply made the harbinger feel jittery. Oh how he wanted to read your writing, smell your scent on the page, hold the letter close- that’s all he has of you and there’s nothing he’s desired more in these past few weeks than to hold you close, to feel your warm body pressed against his and run his cool hands over your soft skin. Business trips are so dreadful. It takes a few more days before your letter makes its way to his desk, held shut with a pretty wax seal- blood red of course <3

With the sharp end of his ring, Pantalone slices the envelope, bypassing the meticulously pressed seal on the front, and whips the letter from it. His eyes widen with that primal feeling of ‘love’ (or what he thinks is love) as he basks in the affection on the page. Sweet nothings, promises of intimacy and closeness upon his return. He flushes as you describe lewd fantasies, the ones you can hardly keep at bay much longer, the urge to feel his body press close to yours. That’s one way to keep his attention in a letter as long as this one.

His gloved fingers rub the paper between them absentmindedly as he finishes up reading. The banker sighs, his emotions flooding in all at once. Hatred for this branch of the Northland Bank for being so terribly inefficient that he had to come out here personally, lust for you and loneliness, knowing he’d be curled up in a cold, empty bed for the twenty-fifth night in a row. Finally, he brings the letter to his nose, expecting that familiar scent of your perfume- alas, it isn’t. He gets a whiff of something familiar but unexpected. Something dangerous- Poison.

With a dark chuckle, he licks over the words you so carefully wrote out, letting his tongue go grey from the ink and carelessly allowing your pretty script to be smudged. He’s been trained well by the Fatui, a simple taste of poison won’t kill him! However, it’s oh-so thrilling nonetheless. As he wonders how on earth you got ahold of poison- probably that damned doctor- he lets the bitter, stinging flavor dance on his tongue. This was never meant to kill him, no no he realizes it’s simply a threat. That is just too precious <3 he’ll have to contact his men back in Snezhnaya to keep a closer eye on you, obviously they are not doing their jobs if they’re letting you slip away to fraternize with another harbinger and have dangerous substances in your possession. He doesn’t care to read the letter again so he simply discards it, petty thoughts of punishment and cruel intimacy dancing through his head as he goes back to crunching numbers, his signature smile gracing his features, his stained tongue gliding over his lips to moisten them…

Im sorry, but Stephan having literal superhero fantasies about his crush is the cutest thing I love it so much help

Even when he was a doctor he had a bit of a hero fantasy.

Except then it was of him performing a miracle surgery saving the life of some beautiful woman (or man) and falling in love as he helped nurse them back to health.

After his accident and now that he was an actual superhero the fantasy had changed a bit. 

Since developing a crush on you it has changed a bit more.

Instead of a mysterious stranger it was the friend who secretly already had his heart.

He would save you and you would suddenly see him in a new light.

He would hate for you to actually be in danger though. 

In reality he would do everything possible to make sure you were never in harm's way in the first place.

In his fantasy, there would be some monster attacking and you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. 

Just as the monster was getting close he would open a portal or the Cloak would set him down in front of you. 

He would pull you to him before putting up his Eldritch shields to protect you both as the monster struck.

Your eyes wide as you looked up at him clinging to his robes. 

He would have the Cloak whisk you to a safe place nearby while he fought the monster. 

After defeating it you would run to each other and he would immediately start scanning you for injuries.

Showing you that he wasn't just doing his job as a protector of the universe, but he was protecting you.

He would once again place the Cloak around your shoulders to keep you warm and  comfort you despite the fact that you were more interested in being close to him. 

Letting you cling to his chest as he held you. 

The fact that he let you wear the Cloak, and that the Cloak let you wear it, showing how much he cared about you. 

The next part was a bit cheesy, but it's where you would literally swoon in his arms and call him "my hero". 

Then, overwhelmed by emotion, you would kiss him.

Once you pulled away you would look at him surprised at the fact that you had given in to your hidden feelings and kissed him.

He would just smile before pulling you back to him and kissing you passionately.

If he's feeling really sappy he'll actually dip you as he kisses you, full on cartoon comic book style.

There may be applause from the surrounding onlookers in that particular version of his fantasy.

Then he would open a portal to escort you back to the Sanctum where he would tend to your cuts and any injuries.

He was still a doctor after all.

Then you would both confess your feelings for each other before spending the night in each other's arms. 

Not before he properly asked you on a date though.

It didn't even matter if nothing else happened then, it would have been a stressful potentially even traumatic day for you.

He would never pressure you if you didn't want to do anything, he would be content to just hold and kiss you.

Of course if you wanted to do more he would have no problem showing you how much he wants you.
