you had a crush on your boss.

it was super silly but could you resist it when he looked like that every morning

you would probably sell your soul to see him in his velvet blue suit with slicked back hair every day

it was just a crush, a workplace one too, which everyone had at your age

correction, you didn’t work there, you were an intern at 18 years old

in the biggest firm in the city

neo corp.

you can still remember how much your hands shook when you passed the interview

your first instinct was to tell your mum and you guys partied like there was no tomorrow

you did not expect to be the secretary of a 21 year old hot asian man but were you complaining? nah.

his name was lee minhyung, but he preferred to be called mark

practically every woman in the company was head over h e e l s for him, but he was indifferent

he was used to the attention by now

you definitely didn’t have a chance with him but you didn’t let that bother you

watching him from afar rush to his office, you panicked

he was never this late

is he okay?

stumbling towards his office, you knocked a few times before falling in

shocked would be an understatement

there was a disheveled mark face-first melting into his desk

cheeks red, he looked up and rolled his eyes

“knock next time,”

adjusting your blouse, you nodded

“are you okay?”

“yeah, something came up, can you get me a coffee?”

“sure sir.”

walking down the street, you thought to yourself, what on earth happened to him at 8 am in the morning?

you’d never know

or so you thought

a few weeks later, you were attempting to clear out mark’s schedule when you stumbled upon the most bizarre thing ever

he had put “NATIVITY <3” on the date which was meant to have the biggest shareholder meet

confused, you questioned whether he had younger siblings

but you didn’t want to bother him so you just stuck the shareholder meet underneath the memo of the nativity

“y/n, you didn’t tell me the shareholder meet was on the 18th!”

of course you should have told him.

now, you had a flustered and rather cute doe-eyed mark staring up at you in dismay

“i realised you had a nativity that day but i didn’t want to bother you?”

“you need to tell me these things, they’re so important, fuck,”

that was the first time you had ever heard him swear

mark lee, the angel, the good christian boy, swore.

stifling a laugh, you apologised and left his office

the last thing you expected was for you to roll into work the next morning, strapped with his coffee in one hand and woah- there was a baby

a literal spawn of satan

sat in mark’s lap.

honestly, you should have noticed the signs earlier

“how many times have i told you to knock?” he whisper-shouted, not wanting to scare the toddler running around his clean office

you giggled and mumbled a ‘sorry’ before asking

“whose is that?”

“apppppaaa, can i eat this?”

“no hyuck, you can’t eat my pens, come back here baby,”

it was amusing to say the least to watch dad mark, you figured, run around his office like a headless chicken

his son, hyuck?, was beautiful

hyuck has a soft heart-shaped face with pink pouty lips and chubby cheeks

his hair was similar to his fathers when it wasn’t straightened, a brown wavy mop on his head

fuck, you were soft for his sparkly eyes, he was adorable

“he’s, he’s yours??”

“uh, yeah, my ex’s actually but she left him with me- hyuck don’t bite my table!”

mark was practically panting by the time he picked up the little guy from his bear hoodie and sat him on one thigh

“i’m never going to get work done now,”

mark had the audacity to p o u t

fucking pout

your heart had melted.

feeling helpless, you offered to keep hyuck busy throughout the day

you claimed to be good with kids, a big fat white lie, and wanted to help mark out

immediately, his eyes lit up and he asked a small “really?” as if you had just offered to explain the meaning of life

you fixed your skirt before nodding and waving at the baby on mark’s leg who was now facing you

hyuck smiled, displaying his tiny teeth, and attempted to run off his father’s lap

“appa, is this the pretty girl you always talk about to uncle jeno?”

hyuck’s question was innocent, chubby finger pointing at you

mark went red before mumbling a little ‘shut it hyuck,’

“don’t mind donghyuck, he makes things up, the mind of a three-year-old is very creative, trust me,” mark flailed his hands, letting donghyuck waddle towards you

“appa, she is your sectary right? the one you want to take-“

“lee donghyuck! if you don’t stop talking right now, i will confiscate your power ranger figurines for a week!”

mark glared at the little boy sternly and all you could do is laugh at how donghyuck couldn’t pronounce the word secretary

you promised mark that everything was alright and you left to take hyuck on a little tour

he enjoyed the fish tanks the most, little head peering up and intently staring at the fishes

he decided to name one charizard as it was red

you nodded in response, steering him away from the fish in hopes of finding him some lunch

after hyuck practically begged you, you settled for buying a few timbits

mark would probably be appalled but he didn’t have to know

hyuckie ended up getting chocolate all over his mouth and you had to take him to the bathroom to clean up

after a rather grulling day of managing the toddler, you returned to mark’s office

it was only 4 pm and you knew mark wouldn’t get off this early but taking care of a toddler was draining

you found mark with his head against a pile of books on his messy desk

the poor boy was asleep, mouth agape and hair sticking out everywhere

you patted him gently in hope of waking him up and he shot up faster than lightning

the joy in his eyes the moment he saw donghyuck made you fall for him just a little bit more

hyuckie rushed up to his father as fast as his little legs could carry him and mark picked him up and span him around

mark covered hyuck with kisses and you were s l i g h t y jealous at the sight

you stood back, feeling slightly out of place before mark thanked you

he ran his hand through his messy hair and sighed

you couldn’t help but inquire about what hyuck was babbling about earlier

“it was- it was nothing,”

mark looked so shy it hurt

“appa wants to take you on a date!”

you laughed, looking at mark expectedly but he was too busy darting his eyes around the room

“i like you too, you know,”

“what-“

he looked at you like you were an alien, mouth parted and eyes wider than ever before

“mark, i mean sir-“

“mark’s fine,”

“mark, you’re the cutest person i’ve ever met, i would be crazy to pass up on the opportunity,”

there was a silence between you

“does this mean you’re my mum now-“

“hyuck!”

maybe things would work out for you ♡

short blurb!!!

you and grayson were laying down together on the couch, watching tv like every other night. it was quiet only hearing the noise of the movie and the breathing of one another. you were on his chest, and grayson had his hand rubbing down your back, kissing your head every couple of minutes. This is the life grayson wanted - the domestic life. it was a weird dream to have, obviously he had the moving to la dream like every person ever. But his real dream was to settle down with his partner, buy a house, have babies, get animals. You guys already had buy a house checked off on the list.

maybe an animal was next?

grayson sighed making you look up - you knew what that sound meant. “what’s up?” you asked sitting up. grayson shook his head “just thinking” he replied placing a hand on your shoulder, massaging it a bit. you raised an eyebrow putting your hand on his. he sighed again and sat up a bit. “well, we have a house, we have good jobs” he started and for you, you thought he was talking about trying for a baby. which was perfect timing seen as you had a little surprise for him.

you had found out you were pregnant yesterday evening, you had invited kristina around and you both sat down on the bathroom floor holding onto eachother - you were too nervous to even look at the test. it wasn’t like you guys were trying, but you weren’t not trying? if that made sense.

“you’re pregnant” kristina squealed pulling you into a hug. you were in shock and immediately let out a sob. “oh my god! i’m gonna be a mama” you cried pulling kristina into you tighter. You were just planning how to tell grayson, you wanted it be super dramatic, because you know how long he’s been waiting for this.

you were grinning ear to ear waiting for him to finish the sentence so you could run the bathroom and get the pregnancy test and little pamper bag you and kristina put together for him.

“i think it’s time we move to the next step” grayson said scratching his neck. you nodded quickly “me too. i totally agree” you smiled and grayson grinned.

“i think we should get a fish”

the smile dropped off your face immediately, but grayson kept smiling. it honestly made you want laugh and cry at the same time - hormones, you thought.

“you want a fish?” you giggled and grayson nodded “we have room for the perfect tank and i’ve actually been researching the best type to get” grayson listed taking out his phone and showing you all the notes he wrote down. you bit your lip and covered your mouth with your hand to keep you from laughing.

“well i think i’ve got something even better for you” you say getting off the couch. grayson pouted “it better be good” he yelled after you making you chuckle.

you walk into the bathroom and take out the pamper package and pop the pregnancy test in there. you pratically ran to the sitting room and gave the bag to gray. grayson looked at you, his eyes wide. “baby. this is so cute” he pouted making you giggle. your eyes were already filling up with tears.

Grayson came to the end of the package, taking out the pregnancy test. he held it up and looked to you, tears collecting in his eyes. “really?” he asked and you nodded letting out a sob. “i took it yesterday. and went to the doctors this morning. we’re having a baby!” you exclaimed, grayson placed the pregnancy test back in the bag and then picked you up and hugged you tightly.

“fuck, thank you. thank you so much” he sobbed kissing all over your head. “so much better than a fish” he laughed making you giggle. grayson let go of the hug and bent down to your stomach, kissing it lightly.

“dada can’t wait to see you, bubby.”

Well, today has been long but fun. My alarm went off at the lovely time of 8:15 am which was wonderful after we had stayed up till like 3 am last night because Jess wanted to keep talking about BTS (I’m not even dragging her, that’s literally what happened) so getting up was fairly painful but I made myself do it. Got dressed into my new Captain Marvel tank top (the first of my new ones, I’ll wear the second tomorrow) and did my makeup all nice because photos lol. I got my con bag together and once we were good to go we headed to the lobby by where the hotel had the continental breakfast set up. There wasn’t a whole lot of options so I ended up eating a waffle (like similar to eggo pre-made one, not an actual waffle) with a sausage patty and a bowl of Froot Loops lol. During breakfast I went to check my bank account on my phone before I pulled money from the atm and realized the money I’d transferred to it from my other account went through so I could book the San Diego comic con tickets, so we double checked that this was the best time for them price wise (apparently the predictor app for these things was like “BUY IMMEDIATELY”) so we did get them, money came in and out real fast lol but I’m happy knowing that we have the flights set for it, and I’ll now have the job flexibility to go without having to worry about missing work, and I’ll soon have more money so I won’t have to worry about that either! Lol, hopefully anyway. Once we finished breakfast and had everything figured out we ubered over to the con center.

Had to walk a bit outside to get to the right entrance, and then had to wait in line a bit to get in. They didn’t have metal detectors or anything, they were just checking bags, nothing too serious. We then had to retrieve our passes from their ticket booth area, then spend a minute “activating” them by typing the code on the back of them into their website (not sure why they decided this was a feature they needed). We then had to have our badges scanned to get into the show floor. The whole thing was set up in one giant room, which I definitely like, lost perspective of where was where in it very quickly lol it was easy to get turned around. We started weaving up and down the aisles starting with the first one and going down. The main feature of all of these was of course the KPop merch that was present at almost all the anime booths, conveniently located in one row designated “anime alley.” So we spent a while going through that, both the good and the bad lol. There were of course horrifying knock offs that I will never get out of my mind, but there were also some awesome things like KPop meme pins which were fucking hilarious and Jess bought like 10 (not exaggerating, it was like 10).

Once we made it through most of the vendors on the floor, we finally went to check out the celebrity section. Kiefer Sutherland was there and I wanted to see him, but he was only doing today and his line was NUTS. They didn’t have the celebs prices posted anywhere other than all the way up at the front of their table with a sizable line in front of them, but from what we learned about the prices this was definitely a pricey con, like $60 was a common amount for a selfie from like, some lesser known celebs like the guy who played Nate’s dad on Legends who’s still riding out his con glory days from being in back to the future however long ago that movie was made (I could check, but I don’t really care enough to do so). We ended up getting in his line for like a minute before he had to leave for photo ops, he ran by us and promised to be right back, he seemed like a pretty funny nice guy so that’s always good. We ended up just deciding to hit him up tomorrow when there will likely be less people there and we can split a selfie so we’re not spending too much. I love Kiefer dearly, but I did already meet him in Connecticut last year and his prices were super high and I’m trying not to spend too much money so I decided I’d pass on him for this one. I of course know him from 24 but apparently most of his con appeal is from a movie he made when he was a youngin (and I’m sure I’m dating myself as a child by revealing that I don’t know what movie it even was, but apparently he was very popular for it). It was definitely more of an “old man’s comic con” than some of the more modern cons we’ve been to so a lot of the guests were from like classic movies and such. I did want to potentially meet Kristin Kreuk but her line was also super long and her selfie was $60 and there wasn’t anybody I could even like split it with lol and that was a lot so I decided to pass her up for today, I may reconsider tomorrow but we’ll see.

Once we had completed going through all the vendor aisles we spent a while running through the artist’s alley, and then to their little food section to get some lunch. They actually had quite a selection of varying foods, we ended with poke bowls (but with cooked meat because raw fish at a comic con probably isn’t the best plan). We sat and ate for a while and then got to meet up with some friends that we hung out with for the rest of the day. After we finished eating we took them back through most of the KPop stuff before going back artist’s alley and coming through there for a while. I ended up purchasing a really cute Captain Marvel print, which I justified by saying since I had just put the other Captain Marvel poster on my closet door it was now my Captain Marvel door and needed more themed art. I got a plastic sleeve for it before realizing quite how big it is (it’s an 11x17) and won’t fully fit in my backpack so we might have to get creative in how to get it home, I may just ditch the plastic sleeve and end up rolling it up hoping it doesn’t get damaged. I also got matching buttons with Jess of the Spider-Man pointing meme with one spider-man on each button pointing to each other which were pretty great, so we had to make sure we were walking on the right sides of each other for the rest of the day lol.

Once we’d hung out there for a while and seen most of everything we wanted we decided to head out and get some food. We ended up walking a bit to the con center’s official rideshare pick up area apparently and then ubering the like two miles to the restaurant. It was a pretty nice place, I ended up getting “shrimp vodka pasta” in their half size which was still more than I could finish lol but it was really good pasta so I was pleased. Afterwards we walked around the little area outside for a bit and ended up sitting down at a table and just talking for a bit. Eventually some like hella loud music started playing and they were apparently kicking people like out of the public space for some event they were doing, so we ended up walking across the street to a parking lot and going our separate ways via Ubers from there. Jess and I went back to our hotel room and basically just chilled for the rest of the night which was nice, I’ll probably try to go to sleep soon since I’m pretty tired, but right now I’m having like hellfire acid reflux and I don’t even know why so I may end up staying vertical for a while longer because going horizontal tends to make it worse. But yeah, I’m gonna call it a night from here. Goodnight lovelies. Hope you had an awesome Saturday.
