What if both Sam and Gabriel decided to propose at the same time?

Gabriel would go to Dean, maybe ask for permission(?) but mostly ask for advice on how to do it because he’s aware that he is a bit over the top and he doesn’t want to do that and ruin his chances.

Sam would have gone to Dean, but Dean would have definitely teased him so he goes to Cas instead. The issue is (as we have seen in the past) Sam and Cas tend to go a tad overboard, and Sam would definitely want a proposal that he felt matched Gabriel’s style.

So in the end Sam has this over the top, stupid, glittery proposal that would definitely make Gabriel cry and Gabriel has this really simplistic cute proposal that would also make Sam cry but both plans can’t exist simultaneously.

Dean and Cas obviously want to see how their plans pan out and excitedly run to tell each other what they have done like the silly husbands they are and that’s when they work out how horrifically wrong it could all go and just decide to see what happens because they don’t want to ruin the surprise.

In the end, after all the plans have blown up, they both nervously ask at the same time, only for Sam to jinx Gabriel out of habit and then they just stare at each other basically start laughing/crying and neither of them actually ever say yes but they still end up married.

Years later at like two am Gabriel suddenly realises that Sam never actually said yes and freaks out all did you even want to marry me? And Sam, who is barely coherent after being shaken awake, just wants sleep and is so confused as to what's happening because how could Gabriel ever question Sam loving him when they are literally lying on top of each other in their shared bed, with the two dogs that are spoiled enough to be their kids at their feet.

Please Consider: how godawful miserable Dazai would be if Chuuya forgot about him. How painful that would be.

In Beast you have this AU Dazai who knows everything and is willing to be the worst and be forgotten so that there's a version of Odasaku that gets to live and write his novel.

That's Oda though (and in the AU too).

Chuuya? That's an entirely different relationship. They're partners. They trust each other. They're equals. Chuuya even still has a list of the women Dazai had wronged in the past.

I headcanon that Dazai would hate being forgotten in general but he doesn't rule out being forgotten by the people around him. He couldn't just rule that out and that's fine. He probably couldn't rule out the possibility of Chuuya forgetting him either, but I think canon is showing that he is confident that Chuuya wouldn't.

I don't think he would ever make a choice that lead to that. He'd make all the calculations to have both. It would be easier if one or both of them died.

A world without Chuuya at all is better than if Chuuya looked him dead in the eye and didn't recognize him at all.

i have a theory. a genshin theory. a venti theory.

spoilers for entire game up to now.

In the finale of the most recent archon quest, focalors returns the power of the hydro throne to neuvilette. when he did his cool hydro thing to save the people of fontaine his little hair tails got longer and he looked a bit more hydro dragony

In the finale of the Mondstadt Archon quest, Dvalin gets a similar upgrade in appearance after saving the gang from falling to their deaths.

okay, so you know what i'm getting at here. so, let's establish some things.

neuvilette is the hydro dragon sovereign,

the dragons who are also known vishaps, were the previous civilization of tevat before the descenders and humans

in the 3.1 livestream Enjou (the abyss herald from enko) referred to dvalin as a vishap

dvalin has been around for about 2000 years, helping venti with mond

therefore, for this theory, it can be inferred that Dvalin is a potential new anemo dragon sovereign

but why do i think that venti was able to give Dvalin the power of the anemo throne back, like focalors did for neuvilette

the answer has to do with venti's trickster tendencies, forgery abilties, and his connection to the god of time.

so here's a quick rundown of the venti stuff:

he's a liar and trickster who tends to redirect most conversations hes in (watch any cut scene he's in)

he's known for forging things, from Morax's signature, to the Holy Lyre at the end of the mond archon quest

in Venti's trailer it is said he is "full of mystery, born from the branches of time, a history of glory and sorrow, a witness to the divine"; he also says is one of the thousand winds, the thousand winds is an epithet for the god of time; venti and the god of time were worshipped together at the thousand winds temple; venti used anemo powers to draw memories from the past during ludi harpastrum; and although he tends to be humble as a god, he does brag that there is not a song he doesn't know, past, present, or future; there is so much more

so, when focalors gives the hydro throne power back to neuvilette, it's in the shape of a watery orb. in the mond quest, as the gang is leaving old monstadt on the back of dvalin, venti sends an anemo power orb to dvalin, causing dvalin to light up all anemo and state "is this... the power of the anemo archon?" and questions it, venti responding that he is giving him proper freedom.

okay but it took focalors a lot of work to trick celestia and gather power to destroy the throne. focalors was not just trying to give back the power to neuvilette, that was just one of her goals. she was also trying to defy a judgement from celestia (known to turn people into hilichurls for accessing forbidden knowledge, and dropping nails onto misbehaving civilizations) That is why her plan is so convoluted. and successful.

why do i think venti could do something similar. because he lies about how powerful he is. when signora takes his gnosis, he could have just turned into wind and left. it's literally one of the first things we see him do. instead he just blows wind at her and talks in rhyme (like he does when he's performing). he says he's the weakest archon because of his non visibility and amount of worshippers, but out of the nations we've seen, he's got one of the most visible and active worship bases out of all the archons. he also tends to sleep during time of peace, ostensibly to stave off erosion, but it could also be a way to collect power over time.

we also know he doesn't like celestia, saying he wouldn't visit even if invited, and having that trauma flash in the manhua.

i think it is possible that the anemo throne is already destroyed, either in the past, or recently; or that it will be in the future, but venti was able the draw the power back into the past so that it could not be intercepted by a third party (tsarista, who wants to destroy celestia). we have seen time powers maintain an illusion from the present to the past (the great sakura tree was grown in the present, but also in the past thanks to istaroth and makoto). it is not far fetchted to think that ability could be used similarly on the throne.

venti, who cares for dvalin like family, returns the power of the anemo sovereign back to him, but uses time to keep up the illusion of the throne until such time that illusion is no longer needed. the throne is either already destroyed or will be destroyed, but the power is in dvalin. venti pretends to loose the gnosis to keep up the illusion to celestia that he is nominally loyal to them, but without the gnosis, he is now truly free

sorry this one's super short and a lil incoherent but i just woke up & wanted to say

i think jouno would acknowledge, either previously or eventually, that people can change. bad people are bad and good are good but they can change. if he doesn't then i wonder how much self hatred he would end up carrying with himself. maybe the reason he shies from his past is because of his morality. but i think being around the agency where most of them are very morally grey and basically flirt with enemy organizations on a daily basis, he would have a gradual change in morality lol. i imagine (emphasis on imagine) that fukuchi had a significant influence on how he turned out because of the fact that he “saved” jouno from his past and stuck him in the hunting dogs where he'd end up thriving. i imagine that jouno's very easily influenced by his environment and the people he spends time around the most, despite how stubborn he can appear.

idk i think the thought of him finding a new family in the ada and learning to look at the world differently as a result is my exact cup of tea because i am also a sucker for found family

i really really hope they do go into jouno’s morality in the canon universe as well. it’s something i feel is super important to his character. i have so many thoughts about that.

if love to see him adjust to working with criminals from time to time. i could see him trying to pick fights and arguments and not initially accepting that people can be morally grey.

this also implies that jouno may not see himself as good due to his past. i believe fukuchi said something along the line of jouno only seeing the hunting dogs as a vessel for him to use. id like to see jouno reflect on that idea and question if that’s true.

clearly he doesn’t just see the hunting dogs as a vessel since he betrayed an easy way into a crime organization that he himself recognized as unbeatable in their current state. even if he doesn’t act like it, he clearly cares about the team and his tendency to act like he doesn’t is a facade.

i also want to see tetchou learn about moral greyness as well, he openly seems to have a more black-or-white view on morality and justice. possibly his interaction with kenji could have shown him that people aren’t always Just good or evil? however kenji is also a beacon of good so his mind my revert once the truth is revealed.

Was thinking about Finn and his relationships and then realized he never had a friend his age, all his friends and loved ones as considerably older than him. Sure, he had Flame Princess that was his age, but I’m talking exclusively about friendships (and we all know how that turned out). He never had a male friend his age to relate to, most of the people he knows are women older than him. I literally can’t think of a young male character besides Finn that had any importance or protagonism in the episodes

This might have contributed to his feeling of loneliness and loss of purpose after Jake passed away, he had no one to truly relate to and confide in that didn’t see him as younger than them and saw him grow up. Someone to be on the same level as him ya know

This made me appreciate My Best Friends in the World a lot more and understand it deeper too. But man I feel kinda bad for him

Some Erin and Anya thoughts... Mostly from Erin's side of things this time rather than focusing on Anyas. They are my blorbos...

-alright so I mentioned before that Anya and Erin just really hit it off and become fast friends surprising to a lot of people. Especially others in the group because normally Anya is usually extremely anxious around new people. But it's kinda surprising to Erin herself? The twos first proper meeting in Darchlight Erin just vibes with this girl she just met far more than she thought she would for someone who happened to fall in the same hole as Broccoli Queen (Derogatory) did. And then of course, Erin starts to learn that hey! This girl also has some interests that she also has! She likes reading, she showed genuine interest in fashion design when the topic happened to come up, like it just kinda naturally became a good friendship after that.

-Being trapped in GDC for like a week and a half because she can't for the life of her find Aelita who just fucking vanished does kinda help with that growing relationship, as between Anya's own mini adventures doing stuff in the city with other characters and that meeting with Cassandra, Anya does join her in trying to look for Aelita. The shared connection of having what is assumed to be the same friend does help even if Erin is growing more and more frustrated at the matter, but even besides that they just kinda fall into hanging out with each other more during this time.

-Erin also just likes Anya's Pokemon. Honestly she does think that Anya has great style and having her team just match her style and aesthetic so well is just a plus. This sort of thing is where the talk of fashion design got brought up. Back to Anya's Pokemon, she just finds it amusing they both have an Absol and Aevian Ampharos. Unlike Anya Erin is able to tell both the Absol apart very easily.

-the free time they get during chapter 12 (reminder this is where I put the majority of the the time frame between the end of chapter 11 and the beginning of 15, as Chapter 13 and 14 are both much shorter in direct time passage) is where Erin and Anya grow close very fast. Like obviously during this time Erin is also getting closer to Melia and Aelita just in generally, but still. Erin just finds herself enjoying Anya's company a lot even if the two aren't neccesarily interacting. They spend a lot of time just being close to one another even when they aren't talking. Erin starts to... Just like being around her and seeing her happy, and Anya likewise feels very comfortable around Erin.

-while Anya's already had a small crush on Erin, it's during this time that crush develops into fully romantic feelings. Erin doesn't directly notice that sentiment (Anya hides it pretty well all things considered) But she does notice Anya's seems to growing a degree of confidence, at the very least when they're together. Erin does get annoyed at Anya's rather constant anxiety sometimes, and absolutely hates it when Anya puts herself down at all, but it is nice to see Anya gaining any form of confidence...

-during their brief stay at past Sheridan, Erin ends up comforting Anya for a nightmare for the first time, even if mostly if that's because she just happened to still be awake when Anya got woken up by it. It's a first for Erin and she's not entirely sure how to go about it, but Anya appreciates the effort nonetheless.

-in general the times they've acted as team together is times Erin enjoys. Anya's stronger then she lets on, and Erin starts to enjoy working with her as much as she does just hanging out with her. The training month in Chapter 15 ends up being pleasant for the two of them because of this, despite some of the more heavy revelations learned during that months.

-Erin's first thoughts on how she actually feels about Anya comes at the end of 14. The two haven't seen each other in couple days since Anya got whisked to the desert after getting kicked out of the library (though that kinda annoyed the crap out of Erin general, Anya was there for a whole 5 minutes and already got kicked out even if it wasn't her fault), and Anya just was so happy to see her?? Anya ended up just hugging Erin out of that pure happiness in seeing her, and Erin's heart ended up skipping a beat when she did. The whole hug thing was a bit of a surprise to the both of them, Anya actually apologizing for it immediately, though Erin reassured her it's fine. Of course though, Melia's battle was a loss and Erin had to leave and the two had to separate after their brief interaction as they both had business, Anya for the tournament and Erin for the ball. And well we all know that ball goes...

-Erin's second moment where she starts go realize she may have caught a heap of feelings for Anya is immediately the next time Erin sees Anya, which is in Eclysia pyramid where Anya in her pure relief and joy at seeing her safe immediately trips on her heels and accidentally barrels herself and Erin right back into the spring Erin just walked out of. Anya just... Hugs her so warmly and there's tears in Anya's eyes and for a very brief moment it almost felt like it was just the two of them. Honestly I feel by this point Anya may have confided to Melia about her feelings for Erin so Melia would just have such a knowing look as the two get up out of the spring. At least Anya isn't covered in sand anymore...
