stayed up super late to binge the episodes last night so i got little to no sleep and the bags under my eyes are as dark as gabriel's future and as heavy as adrien's emotional state will be when he finds out that not only is he a sentibeing but felix and kagami are as well. the heavily-applied concealer under my eyes cannot disguise the fact that i have spent the last 13 hours doing nothing but letting my brain be infected by the Blorbo Disease. i am at work rn unable to function as a normal human being because adrien and marinette are Dating and in love. felix sang a little ditty and sobbed on a rooftop alone after snapping his sentisister out of existence. adrien changed into pajamas to make marinette more comfortable and they had a picnic date and almost kissed. they tell each other they love each other so freely. zoe is gay as fuck has a big fat crush on marinette. and best of all, gabriel is finally decaying into a crispy necrosis-fueled death. i am so normal (violently screaming) about it all. i cannot drink enough coffee to fight past the exhaustion but the Bug and Cat Show Blorbo Love will be enough to sustain me for a lifetime

i think the villa diodati speech probably had a big effect on how yaz approached the doctor in flux and after

here are my overall thoughts for season five atm now that I’ve caught up on all the episodes!

- First off, kinda mad that I waited an entire week just to see ep 15 where it’s 90% Gabriel screentime and him failing with second chances LMAO. Like sure, it was funny seeing that no matter how often he meddles with time, he just fucks it all up. He really is just a pathetic loser.

- The ladynoir was adorable too, I missed them so much <3333 and the adrinette was HNNNNN <333333333333333333 CUTIESSSSSS Adrien just wants to protect his cute girlfriend no matter what and I just love that aaaaa <33333333

- It’s so interesting to see that it’s implied that both Gabriel and Nathalie will die sooner or later because of the misuse of the miraculous and the cataclysm. It makes me a little genuinely worried for Adrien (but I assume he’ll end up living in London with Amelie and Felix which is BAD for Marinette and Paris!!!!).

- Gabriel is a piece of shit as always.

- Aight, then I moved to episode perfection and I’m not gonna lie. I only care about lovesquare, the core four (adrinette and djwifi) and Plagg and Tikki. So I was kinda annoyed with the whole Kagami thing since I don’t care for her. Lol.

- It was very interesting to see how easily Kagami can fall for Lila’s traps and lies too and I like how the show is making Lila seem more dangerous and cunning! The whole talk about toxic people between them both was very interesting to hear and I’m quite curious on how their friendship will play out. I feel like it’ll become a huge key in one of Marinette’s/Ladybug’s downfall in the future.

- The class coming up with shenanigans and silly plans just to make adrinette kiss was all I ever needed and I’m so glad writing a lot of it in my fics has finally got some canon relevance!!! And Nino terribly playing the guitar added a million hours to my lifetime!

- The adrinette picnicccc <3333333333333333333333333 The fact that Marinette decided to show up in her pyjamas to avoid making complicated plans and to enjoy her time with Adrien and him changing into his to make Marinette more comfortable was so fucking sweet WHAT THE HECK <33333333 I really like how canon is portraying their slow and steady relationship, that even though they really want to kiss each other, they’re trying so hard to be patient with each other HNNNN <333 (which makes me wonder, how the fuck did Marinette manage to kiss him in the Chat Blanc timeline LMAO). 

- It seems like the senti theory is very likely to be true. It’s so in your face now with how Gabriel and Nathalie keeps touching their rings and giving Adrien orders/suggestions. Unlike what haters and really horrid people say in the fandom, even though Adrien is given an order and forced to obey, you can clearly see on his expressions what he’s truly feeling regarding said orders. It makes Chat Blanc so much more tragic >:D 

- Adrinette would have kissed a buuuuunch of times already if it weren’t for everyone getting in their fucking way!!!!!!!!

- I do admit, I did feel a little bad for Kagami because she doesn’t like how much it hurts seeing adrinette together but with their help, she will power through her feelings and grow from them <3 

- This is why I will always be “love triangles were pointless and dumb and stupid in this show”. I hate love triangles in general. STUUUPID.

- Now we onto adoration! I kinda knew from the start that Zoe is in love with Marinette but seeing her shyly confirm it at the end was cute! I just wonder how that ep will be portrayed in countries that doesn’t allow gay LOL. 

- Seeing the positive influence Zoe has in the hotel was so nice! And we finally get to learn the butler’s actual name (which I forgot...) I really do wish she was introduced in season two so that we got the build up of all of this so that it doesn’t feel like a whiplash. It would have given her a chance to be fleshed out properly rather than seeming like just “the nicer sister”. I would be a bigger fan of her if we got more screentime of her too. 

- All the adults really do be pissing me off in this show. I expected Marinette’s parents to stand up further for her because surely they’re not in the dark about Chloe tormenting their daughter! Like come on!!! Canon please stop dumbing down characters for an extra effect! It was so brave of Zoe to take the blame for the ‘thieving’ and I believe it’s a very black cat holder sort of thing. To sacrifice yourself for the one you love.

- We never got to see the dress be made at the end which is a shame cos it was so pretty!

- THE CONFESSION. OH GOD THE CONFESSION!!!!! MARINETTE FINALLY SAID I LOVE YOU TO ADRIEN!!!!! FUCKING FINALLY!!!!!! FOR HOW MANY YEARS HAVE I WAITED FOR THIS!?!?!?!?!?!!? ALMOST 10 YEARS MAN!!!!!! AND FUCKING SHITTY ASS UGLY ASS CRUSTY ASS GABRIEL RUINED THEIR KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO KILL YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

- Yeah Adrien is defo a senti or being controlled by magic 1000000% The fact that both rings can be used to do that makes me look at Emelie in a massive negative light. I bet I was right about her being a villain and being super smothering, almost mother-gothel like with Adrien when she was still alive. SOMEONE GET HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!!!

- NOW. EPISODE EMOTION.

- Listen Felix, I know the name Argos comes from a greek mythology which technically means you’re all-seeing BUT IT IS ALSO A WELL KNOWN RETAIL BRAND IN THE UK!!! INTRODUCE YOURSELF IN LONDON AND YOU WILL BE BULLIED LMAO!!!!!

- I knew that that the ‘Adrien’ in the dance was actually Felix like you can tell with the voice and the expressions. Felix is the “looks like he will kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll” whilst Adrien is the “looks like a cinnamon roll but will actually kill you” AND I AM HERE FOR IT!!!!

- This is the second time Felix interrupted Marinette’s confession to Adrien LMAOOOOOOO! I love how in order to keep her safe, he just dumped her in a bin! THAT IS YOUR FUTURE SISTER/COUSIN IN LAW! TREAT HER WITH RESPECT!!!!!!

- This boy is defo a senti. I love how he confidently zapped all of Paris away with a snap of his fingers in singsong and dance but the second he thought he fucked up and couldn’t bring Marinette back for Adrien, he ran away to a rooftop and sobbed like a two year bab. I love him. He’s such a pathetic wet kicked puppy and it’s perfect for him!!!!

- Ladybug’s lucky charm (or lack of??) was a little confusing so I’m thinking she just believed that Felix will bring her back? Or that Adrien will make him bring her back? AAAAAAAAAAAA

- Honestly, I really like how this episode gave us more of an insight about Felix. He doesn’t necessarily know what he’s doing and he genuinely loves his cousin. He’s immature, cunning, smart, a fucking dumbass and is willing to nuke the world for his loved ones. How very parallel to Chat Blanc. This is a Graham de Vanily thing- not an Agreste thing AND I AM GLAD!!!!!!

- Ladybug should have been allowed to have landed every single punch against Argos!!!!!! HE DESERVES IT!!!!!! HE COULD HAVE JUST TAKEN THE PEACOCK AND LEFT THE REST OF THE MIRACULOUS TO HER!!!!! He’s so lucky he’s Adrien’s cousin otherwise Chat Noir would NOT have spared him AT ALL if he were to have transformed.
