[MASTERPOST] - Ahh, thank you for the ask! Yes, this scene.. I actually saw this a bit differently! It's not about Milek fearing Geralt will leave him behind, he actually wants him to. They need to find his Pa!! I think he often feels like a burden; Jaskier knows this, but Geralt isn't aware of this yet. Milek just wants to pull his weight, especially with Jaskier. A little sneak peak to their struggles regarding this:

I really love how Donnie and Leo are comfortable being hugged by Gus! Leo seems genuinely happy to be receiving affection and, even with his injured shell, Donnie doesn't pull away from the contact! Plus Donnie was leaning on Gus!

I get the sense that the two of them don't really receive much physical affection from anyone but each other but I'm so happy that Gus is there and just showering them with it.

Is Gus the only staff member that the boys are close with? They obviously don't share information with Gus but other than that, how close are they with him? I'm just so curious about this additional lore about their home lives!

also I think they deserve more cuddles and it warms my heart to see Gus just hugging them with abandon <3

and there are a few other staff members that the gemini are relatively close with, which i've touched on in the past! gus is probably who they're closest with, though, and the only one they get any physical affection from. he's known them since they were first adopted by big mama, and his main 'job' at the hotel has long been to keep an eye on them and keep them safe when they're in the hotel. he has the 'late shift' and spends nights in a big dog bed out in the hallway of the gemini's floor, guarding their rooms while they sleep, just in case anything happens or they need him.

i would say they're very close with gus! he's like a 'beloved family dog' and 'protective dopey uncle' combo and did a lot of caretaking when they were little-- the only constant amongst the ever-revolving cast of nannies, aside from their mother's occasional appearances.

that being said, there's a reason gus shares the color of another gemini character rather than having his own. despite everything, the twins are well aware of where gus's loyalty lies at the end of the day, and who he answers to. and as lovely as their relationship is, it's not them.

Foaming at the mouth and going feral waiting for Fig to open up more to her parents and friends 🤧 I rmr all through middle school and high school holding everything in and being unsure about myself and putting on a tough mask with walls so high because I wanted to hide and not exist and just.. 🤧 having friends that were patient and loving and understanding even if they didn’t know my whole deal was life changing. I just wanna wrap Fig up in a big hug and tell her that she doesn’t need to have it all figured out, but that she’s still wanted and appreciated for all the qualities and facets that she exudes regardless of if she can lay all those things out and understand them. Despite it all, who she is and who she will become: She is loved. She is wanted. She should exist.

With how I'm planning my fics, since Menelaus and Agamemnon spend some years at Tyndarius' palace, I kind of have them all be childhood friends in a way before Agamemnon and Menelaus take back their kingdom (Aga is around 19, Menelaus 15 when they leave. 5-6 years later they get married.) With how their marriages work out when talking about "Old times", Odysseus is the "odd one out" as he was the only one who didn't grow up alongside them. The poor guy is left out.

Looking for poses #I started just by going back to the early TVAU doodles to give one more proper fair shake to those rejected outfits #Wouldn't you know it they're still rejected lol but! The wings are still very good #And the poses are silly lol #She is always real cute tho <3 #It does feel funny going back to her early doodles and trying to style-match - my style was much looser at the time #Which is part of why her hair looks so good - those swirls are wild! It's very cool! But it's hard to replicate now :0 #You can kinda see it in how hard and dark the lines are in her hair - before it'd basically be a scribble nest haha #Both have their aesthetic placement I just hrmm #I miss it a bit #There's something almost uncanny about trying to go back now - sizing maybe? Proportions? I'm not sure #She was always meant to have that chibi proportion big head and simplified body so maybe it's her neck being so visible that's throwing me?? #I do like the small collar tho!
