Your attraction to the Grandmaster was undeniable from the moment you first met. His unwavering commitment to the clan, along with his formidable strength, were qualities that drew you in, not to mention he was quite the looker.

However, despite the time you had spent around him, you realized that you knew very little about the man behind the icy exterior. Bi-han always seemed intimidating, with a permanent mask of disdain for the world that left you feeling shy and hesitant. Your attempts at starting a conversation with him usually resulted in your own embarrassment and a quick retreat. Tomas, a close friend and confidant, took immense pleasure in teasing you about these encounters. "Ran into Bi-han again, I see, hmm?" he'd say with a sly smirk, poking fun at your ongoing struggle. You had opened up to Tomas about your feelings, seeking advice on how to melt Bi-han's icy exterior, but he too was at a loss, as the Grandmaster's heart was primarily devoted to the Lin Kuei.

And so, you found yourself setting up a cozy blanket not far from the temple, the calm starlit night serving as the backdrop for your plan. Your intention was to create a picnic beneath the celestial canvas, adorned with homemade dishes tailored to Bi-han's preferences. Unearthing his favorite foods had proven to be a challenging endeavor, but if it all went according to plan, it would be worth the effort.

Stargazing had been a beloved pastime of yours, a refuge from restless nights during your childhood. The twinkling flames above had a soothing effect, and you often buried yourself in books about stars and constellations. The patterns formed by the stars, creating beautiful, glowing images, never ceased to fascinate you. With this picnic, you hoped to share a moment of celestial beauty with Bi-han, a pause in the chaos of life to admire the universe's celestial artistry.

As Bi-han reached his private quarters after a tiring mission, you gathered your courage and stopped him in his tracks, bashfully approaching his towering form. He met your gaze with his usual intensity, although there was a hint of something unfamiliar in his eyes. "Bi-han, are you busy?" you asked, scratching the back of your neck as anxiety washed over you, causing your cheeks to flush under his gaze. For a moment, he remained silent, lost in thought due to your sudden intrusion. Taking his silence as a cue to continue, you added, "I-I wanted to show you something, but only if you're comfortable." Bi-han turned to face you fully, still staring with his characteristic intensity. To your surprise, his gaze softened slightly, replaced by a gentler yet emotionless expression. "Show me," he said in a blank tone. A small smile graced your features, and the excitement in your chest was palpable. You had successfully broken through a barrier, and you led the way to your surprise.

As you guided him, your increasing anxiety became evident. You began to focus on the stone path beneath your feet, and you couldn't shake the feeling of Bi-han's eyes on the back of your head. Did you have something in your hair? You were half tempted to turn around and meet his gaze, hoping to find the answer to your question through his expression. Although, given his expressions are usually unreadable, the attempt would likely be in vain.

Finally, you stopped near the small banquet you had carefully set up. There were a variety of dishes awaiting both of you, along with a small book by your chosen seat. You turned your attention to Bi-han, gauging his reaction to your endeavor. His expression wavered between subtle surprise and intrigue, and you could hear a slight inhale, presumably in response to the enticing aromas of the dishes you had worked so hard to perfect.

With a small smile, you approach the blanket, settling in your chosen spot before motioning for him to sit next to you. Bi-han maintained his look of confusion but complied, mirroring your seated position. "Feel free to eat anything; I made it all for you," you invited. Bi-han's gaze fell to the dishes, his eyes widening briefly, a reaction you couldn't help but notice. The dishes were a testament to your dedication. There was a platter of succulent grilled teriyaki chicken, marinated to perfection and glistening with a savory glaze. Alongside it was a bowl of fragrant jasmine rice, each grain distinct and fluffy, waiting to complement the flavors of the chicken. A bowl of miso soup, steaming and rich in umami, sat between the main dishes. The soup was a harmonious blend of seaweed, tofu, and the comforting warmth of the broth. "You made all of this?" he asked. You nodded, "Mhm." Pride welled up within you as he took a bite and emitted a faint, approving hum. 

In silence, you both continued to enjoy the meal. Each bite was a flavorful journey, and you couldn't help but steal glances at Bi-han, who seemed genuinely engaged in the experience. The small details, like the way his lips quirked in appreciation or how his gaze occasionally flicked towards the dishes, didn't go unnoticed. The shared meal created a comfortable bond, a connection that transcended words. You felt your anxiety ebb away as the two of you savored the dishes together. 

As you inhaled the crisp night air, a calmness washed over you, and you cherished this moment of revisiting your childhood with Bi-han. Sitting side by side, you both turned your gaze to the night sky, with its multitude of flickering stars. "Isn't it beautiful?" you finally said. Unbeknownst to you, Bi-han had shifted his attention from the sky to you, studying your features. Your face was delicately bathed in the moon's soft glow, filtered through the leaves of a nearby sakura tree. The light danced upon your hair, cascading in soft waves down your back. He would never admit it, but to him, your beauty challenged even that of a god. Bi-han nodded in agreement. "I used to do this a lot as a child, especially on sleepless nights," you confessed. You smiled, recalling those peaceful moments, blanketed by the darkness in a quiet serenity. Glancing over, you reached for the small book beside you, titled "The Stars Above." The book showed its age, with well-worn pages and a cover that had seen better days. The corners were slightly dog-eared, and the spine had creases from years of use. Gently caressing the weathered pages, you said to Bi-han, "I often lost myself in this book, spending hours on end flipping through the pages." It was a cherished possession, filled with your observations and love for the night sky.

You scooted closer to Bi-han, the brief touch of your arms sending shivers down your spine as you felt the cold radiating from his skin. He tensed slightly, unaccustomed to such close proximity, but he didn't pull away. Your eyes returned to the sky, and you pointed upward, tracing a pattern with your finger. "See how those stars form a pattern?" He nodded, and you continued, "That's the Corvus constellation." You found the matching page in the book as Bi-han leaned in for a better look. "Corvus represents the crow, a sacred bird of the Greek God Apollo," you explained. To your surprise, he appeared genuinely interested in your chosen topic. "In all the time I've seen the stars, I never looked long enough to see such pictures," he confessed. His voice was low and tinged with admiration. "Perhaps we should do this more often," you suggested, handing him the book. He looked down at it in amazement. "You'd offer me something you cherish so deeply?" he asked, surprised. You replied with a soft smile, nodding. He accepted the book, and your fingers brushed lightly during the exchange. He brushed over the worn pages and creased spine. "Take good care of it for me," you said softly, a hint of warmth in your voice. 

With the book now in his hands, you both returned your attention to the sky, a comfortable silence settling between you. And hidden behind his icy exterior, Bi-han harbored a faint pink blush, a sentiment he had yet to voice.

Hello it’s me the one that sent the ask about the Lin Kuei time quack thing where Frost and Takeda are grandmasters and now I have an Au for it now. Because he’ll yeah. Anyway some Headcanons:

Retired Au

* I headcanon that it’s a little down the line when Kuai Liang and Hanzo are in their early to kid 60’s when they retire.

* Takeda and Jacqui married and become joint Grandmasters of the Shrai Ryu and even have a little girl named after Suchin and Jacqui’s mom Vera.

* Frost and Cassie are also married and have two children as well, one girl and one boy.

* Their all into their thirties about this time.

* Hanzo and Kuai Liang still fill in as teachers and combat instructors for the clan, and help their kids out with clan duties when it gets too stressful.

* However for the most part they are on a much needed retirement vacation on a deserted island where no one else is besides like crabs and shit

* Occasionally take the grandkids with them, leading to Hanzo being buried in the sand and Kuai Liang making ice treats for the kids.

* Kuai’s dragon is also with them on the island because it refuses to go with him everywhere

* The time quake brought back so many people of the past that it was almost ridiculous.

* Bi-han, Smoke, and Hydro ended up immediately going to the Lin Kuei while Takeda and Frost were in the middle of a fucking meeting debating if they should call their parents for this shit when the three show up.

* They have to delicately explain that the majority of them are dead and that both the Shrai Ryu and Lin Kuei are allys now thanks to the previous grandmasters.

* Bi-Han and Smoke ask what the hell happens to Kuai Liang because for one he didn’t appear alongside them when they came to the future and that is very terrifying for them

* Hydro ends up asking how they Shrai Ryu made amends because there was no way in the Netherrealm the Grandmaster would ever become allies with the Shrai Ryu, especially when they were dead.

* Then Frost says that the previous Sub-Zero, Kuai Liang became allies and married to the Shrai Ryu grandmaster before her and Takeda.

* Who was that then? Hanzo Hasashi.

Frost and Cassie's kids are named Ro (Short for Rhododendron) and Lance (A reference to both Avalanche, Kuai Liang's Dad's mantle, and Cassie's favorite Arthurian night, bc she's secret.y obsessed with the Camelot myths)

Kuai Liang's dragon is named Lian, after his sister, and the two are shockingly codependent (think that meme of the girlfriend on snapchat who's boyfriend cuddles the dog/body pillow, I can't remember)

Smoke wants to high five Kuai Liang for bagging a baddie and Hydro (resident voice of reason) has to hold Bi-Han back from attempted murder

今日、働こうとするでも、３も時が眠た。あたしの眠るのに関して医者が電話をするの待っている。眠る試験が予定をしなくてはいきない。

日本語を読むのもっと色々勉強品が見つけたい。n5/n4の読書の大半は新聞の記事。つまらない。流行とアニメとなどを読みたい。

また、n4の練習問題がした。15の中に７は正しかった。読むは聞くともっと練習をしなくてはいきない。

Today, I tried my best to be productive but I still ended up taking 3 or so naps. I'm still waiting for my sleep doctor to call me back to schedule my sleep study.

I'm looking for more material for japanese reading practice. Most "N5/N4" dedicated collections are news articles which I find boring. I'd like to read about fashion and anime and trends and such.

Also, I did the N4 practice questions today. I got 7 out of 15 right. I really need to work on my reading and listening comprehension.

Can't keep a plant alive to save his life; not even a cactus

He was a theater kid once upon a time

Luna: Actually legit super athletic. You can't really see it bc her muscles don't bulge, but she can and will judo flip a man effortlessly

Has the smallest handwriting you've ever seen

She's got mad art skills; there's a work-in-progress painting or pastel piece on her desk constantly

Certified history buff. This chick can recall the most obscure bits and details of Eos's past and will infodump to you if you're willing to listen

Actually works really hard to be a good person---it doesn't come naturally to her; she's no saint and she has to make a conscious effort to be as gentle as she is on a daily basis, and that in itself makes her an excellent human being

Yes!! Octo kiddies and all the domestic goodness! Who’s gonna question the Grandmaster? Like you said no one! I feel like Grandmaster Bi-Han is soft Bi-Han because in Kuai Liang’s ending it clearly specifies he melts Bi-Han’s icy heart and boom you get soft Bi-Han. Is he still an utter badass? Of course! Is he also going to have tea parties with his daughter? Absolutely! He’s a balanced and complete person in that universe and the one I usually write him as. I always try and keep that air of arrogance and douchebaggery he has but I try and add layers to him and what love would actually do to him. Which is always what I try to give you lovelies and I absolutely love the what if’s of Bi-Han, what would he have been like if he wasn’t a cold assassin, what would he be like if he had someone to love etc. I don’t know I absolutely love him as a father though, I think he would try so hard. I like to think he would break the cycle of abuse he and Liang suffered as children and strive to be the father he didn’t have, maybe that’s just me projecting wishful thinking though. I just want him to have a happy life and if I have to fight Boon to do it I totally will!

WIP Wednesday | 01-03-24 | temple mistress & sopherfly

Today’s WIP Wednesday is for a different pairing than usual, and @temple-mistress and I are very excited to share it!

Knights Out: the hallowed—if somewhat underground—annual bash for all the Padawans who have ascended to Knighthood in the past year. (Not openly endorsed by the Council or any self-respecting and proper Jedi Knight.) It’s not uncommon to find Council Members and other revered Masters dancing on tables, participating in drinking contests, or sucking someone off in a corner at Knights Out. Organized by a semi-secret host each year, no one is actually ever invited to the party, but somehow word of the date, time, and venue always seems to fall on the right ears.

Ol’ Quinny’s missed you, baby. It’s good to be back.

Strolling through the venue, Quin takes in the raucous, hedonistic atmosphere with a huge grin.  Another year, another class of new Jedi Knights celebrating their promotion in every single degenerate way possible.

Quin wouldn’t have it any other way.

He’d missed last year, in deep cover for a weapons smuggling operation on Lothal, and by the looks of it, Knights Out is bigger and better than ever. Quin figures he’ll never tire of this scene, of watching all the outwardly prudish and repressed Masters and Knights of the Jedi Order let loose like it’s the last time they’ll ever get to drink and fuck. He likes to think it’s healthy, for the good of the Order and the Republic and all that, to work out that sexual aggression at least once a year. More fun than a trip to a mind healer, too.

Unless it’s that Chiss mind healer in the boots on Devaron…

He spots Fisto in a booth, boots propped up and spread out on the table while a familiar set of blue lekku pop up rhythmically into view. That’s my girl, Quin thinks proudly, giving the Nautolan a jaunty salute. Fisto smiles widely—all teeth—and Aayla pulls off long enough to blow Quin a saucy kiss. He isn’t jealous—he never is, sex is meant to be shared and Quin is generous—but it does quicken his step. 

He’s already had a couple of decent hookups tonight, but he’s saved the one he knows will be the best for last, and his cock jumps just a little in anticipation: Mace fucking Windu, the bald, grumpy-ass, Master of Vaapad, Seer of Shatterpoints, Deputy Grandmaster of the Jedi Order.  

Titles don’t do much for Quin, and none of them impress him nearly as much as the man’s thick, delicious cock, incredible stamina, and a nearly imperceptible refractory period. He also has to admit it doesn’t hurt his ego much that he gets to be the one to see Mace Windu sweat and beg and shout out Quin's name when he comes.

Quin scans the bar area, smirking when he sees that dumbass Skywalker pulling Kenobi into the back room behind the bar. He’s almost tempted to follow them, see if they’ll let him watch this time. Quin laughs at the thought, knowing better than to even hint at a joint maneuver—between Skyboy’s scowl and Sithy-Wan’s glare, it’d totally kill the vibe.

It was a good run with Kenobi for a couple of years, a casual fuck here, a hand job there—nothing serious, which was what made it perfect. Now that he’s got Skywalker, Kenobi is all heart-eyes and moonbeams, and, Quin shudders, monogamy. No, Quinlan Vos wants to fuck and be fucked and enjoy all the benefits of shared pleasure without limit. 

Not one to look too closely at a good thing, Quin nevertheless knows this arrangement with Windu is…different. It’s more than just fuck buddies, and not just because Windu would frown deeper than Kenobi does whenever Quin casually suggests a threesome at being called anyone’s buddy. Quin doesn’t know quite how it’s different, it just is, and he likes it. He likes knowing that Mace will stand up to him, tell him off, shut him down if he deserves it. Few are brave enough to try. Even fewer succeed, which makes Windu all the more attractive.

16" Fashion Dolls

In the 1990s and 2000s there was a boom in larger-than-barbie-scale fashion dolls, and I collected a lot of 16" dolls from Robert Tonner, Alexander doll co., Ashton-Drake doll, and a couple by Integrity toys/Jason Wu. Nowadays you can pretty much only buy them on Ebay, alas. The good news is that Barbies and other 11.5" dolls have become a lot cooler and more diverse lately, although the quality of clothing available for Barbie-sized dolls still doesn't match the fashions for the larger dolls.

The Doll Morgue I store most of my 16" fashion dolls in an Ikea wine-bottle shelf thingy, and this is the result.

Ball-Jointed Dolls from Asian companies are my favorite dolls; they tend to be quite expensive and there are long timeframes for manufacture and delivery. These are ideal dolls if you like to do custom stuff - you can change out their eyes, wigs, they're large so they're easy to sew for, and they often come with unpainted faces so if you like doing "face ups" (as face painting for BJD's is usually termed), they're a nice canvas for this. I've had most of the ones in my collection for 15+ years, since after my son was born I switched to spending most of my money on him. They've all held up very well, though, and I still enjoy them tremendously.

Mortal Kombat 11 x reader: Chapter 4 Fire and Ice

On a nearby hill, the Lin Kuei cryomancer Kuai Liang - better known as Sub-Zero, lies on his belly overlooking the quarry with a miniature telescope. His gaze focuses on an underground entrance built into one of the rocky hills of the quarry. Several converted cyborgs are carrying equipment further into the complex. 　

As Sub-Zero continues to observe, a yellow garbed ninja sneaks up behind him. Sensing his approach, Sub-Zero looks away from the telescope and turns around just as the ninja pulls out his ninjato sword. He is unable to do anything more as the faster ninja brings his sword to bear, pointing it in his direction. Sub-Zero finally gets a good look at the ninja and his face sags in bemusement. 　

"Your hearing is failing, Sub-Zero" he said "I recognized your footsteps, Hanzo" Sub-Zero said smirking. The ninja is indeed Hanzo Hasashi - once known as Scorpion, but no longer. Hanzo puts his sword back in its sheath as Sub-Zero gets to his feet. 　

"And yet both of you failed to hear me" 　

The two Grandmasters turn to see (name) smiling walking towards them as embers dispersed on her form "Lady (name) a pleasure to see you as always" Sub-Zero said as he and Hanzo bow "oh drop the formalities, Liang, you know I prefer being Called (name) but it's great to see you both" she smiled as they rose before going back to being serious. 　

"Where's Sektor? I will not let him threaten my clan again" Hanzo asked "The old Cyber Lin Kuei factory was defunct, buried beneath this quarry - until the time disruption. Now, Sektor's returned and reactivated it. He's building an army by processing Lin Kuei warriors kidnapped from my temple" Sub-Zero said turning back t the factory "I can see why you need us. this isn't going to be easy" (name) said folding her arms. Sub-Zero points to the entrance "We could enter through that tunnel, but a frontal assault would be..." "Bloody" Hanzo finished Sub-Zeros sentence "...needlessly dangerous" Sub-Zero hands Hanzo his telescope "There's another entrance, less populated" Hanzo initially looks in the wrong direction, prompting Sub-Zero to gently move his sight to the side entrance he refers to "And the rest of your plan?" (name) asks "We get help on the inside" 　

The two Grandmasters and Warrior look to the quarry and say no more. 　

Hanzo turns to (name) as they move to go down the cliff "how is Calithea?" he asked making (name) smile "she's fine, Hanzo, in fact she's excited to see her 'daddy' as soon as possible" she said with Hanzos heart fluttering at the thought of seeing the little girl, who he saw as his daughter, wanting to see him again "you are both welcomed in the fire gardens anytime" "I know and with all this end of the world crisis maybe...I can be free to come back to the Shirai ryu...to you" she said blushing as she slid down reaching the bottom where Sub-Zero was. Hanzo looked down at her suprised with a light tint on his face "and I will wait for you" he whispered following after. 　

The scene cuts to the side-entrance. A single Cyber Lin Kuei stands on guard. (name), Sub-Zero and Scorpion sneak up behind it and stab it repeatedly - Scorpion with his kunai, Sub-Zero with a constructed ice dagger and (name) with her sickle. Once the multiple stabbings and slashes bring the cyborg to its knees, the Grandmasters and warrior finish the job by simultaneously stabbing the cyborg through the joints connecting its neck to its shoulders. With the guard dead, (name), Sub-Zero and Scorpion run down the entrance way into the complex. 　

The scene cuts to inside the factory itself. (name), Sub-Zero and Scorpion enter a large room and take in the spectacle before them. Sub-Zero's eyes widen as he glances over machinery designed to convert living humans into cybernetic monstrosities. He walks past human heads stuffed into glass tubes and sealed in an unknown liquid. Under his feet are bloodied corpses with their skin flayed off their bodies. He spots a badge covered in blood and bends down to pick it up. Despair sets on his face as he realises the badge is one of the Lin Kuei's - meaning the corpses around him are of his own clan. (name) puts a reassuring hand on Kuai Liang's shoulder. 　

"they're not going to get away with this" (name) said sympathizing with him 　

A whirring sound catches their attention and they run for cover as the doors behind them open. Two new figures enter the room. The first is a cyborg covered with a yellow paint job, and the second is the hooded woman seen at Kronika's side. The woman is carrying a vial of Jinsei, which she puts into one of the machines in the room. 　

As she does so, a nearby buzzsaw comes to life and starts bisecting a body strapped to a circular operating table. Another buzzsaw chops the head off a flayed corpse, and another device brings forth an unactivated cyborg body. the trio observe this process, from behind the doors, looking toward the yellow cyborg. 　

"Cyrax is your inside man?" Hanzo asks "Liang, I didn't trust him when he was human what makes you think I'm going to trust him as a Cyborg" (name) asked glaring at Sub-Zero "He was converted against his will. If we disable the behaviour inhibitors that control him..." Sub-Zero replies "...He will turn on Sektor" "All Cyber Lin Kuei are linked to a common network Cyrax can shut them down from within" "Who is the woman?" (name) asks "I don't know. Focus on disabling Cyrax. He's the key" 　

As they walk, Cyrax looks over to the woman "We require additional candidates for cyberization" Cyrax stats "Once delivered, how long before the next generation is ready?" the woman stats.　

Just as she finishes her sentence, she is blasted in the back by an ice ball from Sub-Zero and frozen solid. As the Lin Kuei Grandmaster finishes a slide and strides forth, Cyrax charges in to attack. But before he can get close, Hanzo teleports in from behind and grapples Cyrax in a full nelson hold. As Hanzo struggles with Cyrax, the ice surrounding the unknown woman cracks and she breaks free. Her hooded garment is destroyed in the process, revealing that she is in fact a cyborg as well. She turns to face Sub-Zero, who's face narrows in disgust. 　

"Frost" he growled. Frost generates some ice magic of her own and blasts the ground near Hanzo's feet, forcing him to let go of Cyrax. As Hanzo regroups, Sub-Zero approaches Frost. SUB-ZERO: I gave you a home. I was your mentor. Yet after all this, you ally with Sektor? He corrupted the Lin Kuei! FROST: YOU corrupted our clan when you made peace with this Shirai Ryu filth! With Kronika's help, I will restore the Lin Kuei's honor. 　

A fire ball hits the side of Frosts face drawing attention to the shooter, (name), "go fix Cyrax" she turns her burning gaze to Frost "I'll settle this quickly" 　 As Sub-Zero and Hanzo walk off to the side, (name) strides towards Frost. "I should have killed you showed up to our temple" "You tried and failed" "Not this time. Now... you die" 　

They fight. Frost's ice powers have only been magnified by her cybernetic upgrades, and they make her faster and stronger than she was when she first faced (name) at the Lin Kuei temple. But (name)'s control over fire is a natural counter to her cryomancy, and despite her best efforts Frost is once again defeated by the Pyromancer "stupid ice cube" 　

Sub-Zero blocks several strikes from Cyrax, but is forced to backpedal when the cyborg swings his buzzsaw hand out. Sub-Zero blocks a righthook and punches Cyrax in the gut, Hanzo lands a follow up punch to his face and a roundhouse kick that sends the cyborg staggering. 　

Cyrax rights himself and faces down the two Grandmasters and outworld warrior. Behind him, several more cyber Lin Kuei - all in white armor as opposed to Cyrax's gold - activate and jump down from their restraints "The upgrade, Cyrax. Is this Kronika's doing?" Sub-Zero asked annoyed "To better serve her, Sub-Zero. We defend Kronika as she re-writes history" The cybernetic Lin Kuei advance toward Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Both men ready themselves "So you're nothing but pawns?" Hanzo questioned "We act to secure the Lin Kuei's glory in the New Era" 　

Hanzo turns to Sub-Zero "I'll deal with Cyrax" As Scorpion walks off toward Cyrax, Sub-Zero generates ice from the water vapour in the air around him. After gathering it close into his hands, he extends his palms toward the cybernetic assassins. The ice pours out like a blizzard and all of the cyborgs are instantly frozen solid. During this time, Hanzo turns to (name) "stand down for now and watch" she nods but keeps a weary eye on Frost. Scorpion and Cyrax face each other down "You will be forced to serve" "I've been down that road, Cyrax. Never again" 　

They fight. While Cyrax's skill as an assassin and his lethal weapons are only amplified by his cybernetic upgrades, Scorpion's power over hellfire and his skill in battle remain unmatched. Using as minimal force as possible, Hanzo Hasashi manages to overcome Cyrax's assault and leave him defeated on the ground "No one should be a slave" 　

The two Grandmasters approach Cyrax's beaten form. Sub-Zero generates more ice from the air and uses it to weaken part of Cyrax's back armor. He pulls a section of metal off, exposing the circuitry below "Hurry, before we face more Cyber Lin Kuei" Hanzo advises "He'll need a moment to initialise" Sub-Zero fiddles with the circuitry. After a moment, Cyrax's eyes light back up. 　

Suddenly, Scorpion is struck from behind by a flash of dark magic "Hanzo!" (name) calls out helping him steadying himself. The magic dissipates as quickly as it formed, leaving no visible sign that it was ever there. (name), Sub-Zero and Scorpion look around, falsely presuming they are dealing with an invisible opponent "Sektor? Show yourself!" Sub-Zero barks. Instead of Sektor, a new figure teleports in front of them with another swirl of dark magic. Kuai Liang recoils in surprise, but steels himself at the sight before him. It is his brother, the man once known as Bi-Han and Sub-Zero before him, but now known only as the wraith Noob Saibot. 　

(name)'s eyes widen in shock and horror shaking her head in disbelief "Bi-Han..." she said shocking the men at her sides while said wraith tilted his head with his eyes directly on the female warrior. Although he had changed from the man he once was he still held his affection towards the woman who saved him someone he thought long dead. 　 "(name) I am pleased to see you are alive" he said in a wispy tone taking a step forward making the two grandmasters push her behind them "I thought you had been destroyed after Quan Chi had been killed" she whispered but it still reached his ear "Quan Chi's creations do not die easily. Kronika offers me a new clan to lead" He shifts into a fighting stance. A shadow clone of himself jumps out of his body to his side, standing in the same stance "Its shadow will darken the realms and you will rule by my side whether you come willing or not" 　

Scorpion and Sub-Zero both jump into fighting stances as well, with Sub-Zero preparing another ice ball. (name) shook her head "I-I can't" she said memories and thoughts of what she could have done to prevent what happened to him running through her mind overwhelming her. The revenants were made after she died but Bi-Han was killed when she was still alive. 　

Sub-Zero breaks off his ice attack. "both of you leave Bi-Han to me" As Scorpion moves to side to check over Cyrax bringing (name) with him, Kuai Liang walks toward his brother "You always mimicked. But you make a poor Grandmaster as well as a protector for my Queen" Noob said ready "I uphold the Lin Kuei principles I thought you shared and Lady (name) shall not submit to you" "Had I not died she would be mine and had not died oh so long ago. She belongs to me" Sub-Zero gritted his teeth "she belongs to no one, Bi-Han" 　

They fight. Since his death, Bi-Han's dark powers have continued to grow stronger, but Kuai Liang's own powers were always stronger than his. After an intense exchange, it is the younger and current Sub-Zero who emerges victorious "We share blood. We are not brothers" 　

By the time the fight has finished, Cyrax awakens and begins to pull himself back to his feet. He gratefully takes a helping hand up from Sub-Zero, and as he stands he takes a look at his robotic hands, realizing what has happened to him "No! He ripped out my heart, made me a machine..." "Your soul is intact, Cyrax. Trust me, I speak from experience" Sub-Zero say trying to calm his friend "Kuai Liang, is that you? You look so old. And..." He looks over at the man who walks over to Sub-Zero. "...Scorpion?" then to the woman "you're that girl from the tournament "nice to see you too" she said sarcastically. 　

"We'll explain later. For now, know that we share the same goal: The Cyber Lin Kuei's destruction" Hanzo explains "We need your help, Cyrax" (name) says "I can disable their communications network. It'll shut down this factory and every Cyber Lin Kuei connected to it" Cyrax explains. Across the room from them, a multitude of missiles are launched, homing in at a rapid speed in their direction. 　

Moments before impact, Cyrax fires out his digitized trapping net, which catches the missiles and detonates them before they can wipe out the quartet. There is no mistaking who fired the missiles. (name), Sub-Zero and Scorpion get into fighting stances, while Cyrax merely stares down the robotic nemesis walking into the room. His cyborg form is coloured dark red, and he retains his higher thoughts, twisted as they are by his methods "Frost warned me that you two had become allies. I did not think you capable of such dishonour, Sub-Zero" he says. 　

"I'll stop Sektor. Help Cyrax" Hanzo says as Sub-Zero and Cyrax both move off to one side while (name) stays on stand-by. Sektor shoots out a blast of flames from his wrist gauntlet, and in response Scorpion merely flexes his arms and takes the blast full on his chest. After a good five seconds, it becomes clear that Sektor's fire has no effect on a man who can control the fires of Hell itself. Nonetheless, the cyborg still keeps at it. 　

"You started this fire. Selling out your clan so Quan Chi would slaughter mine" At these words, Sektor finally stops the barrage and prepares to fight conventionally "He should have killed you as he promised. Now I finish what he could not" 　

They fight. Even with his cybernetic upgrades and abilities, Sektor is no match for the skill, speed and powers of Hanzo Hasashi. Fighting with a fury not seen since he killed Quan Chi, Scorpion leaves Sektor a broken mess on the ground before him. 　

"For Harumi and Satoshi" 　

(name) places a hand on Hanzos shoulder making him look at her they share a silent moment of understanding before going to join Sub-Zero and Cyrax. With Sektor defeated, Cyrax places his hand on a computer interface. The scanner quickly grants him access. 　

"I'm in. I'll reformat the system drives and shut us all down" Cyrax takes his hand off the interface and looks to Sub-Zero "Goodbye, Kuai Liang" "It is not the end. I will find a way to restore you. Anything is possible. Hanzo and I are living proof" "Please, don't bring me back as a machine. I can't live like this" "Machine or man, you have a warrior's soul. As long as I am Grandmaster, the Lin Kuei will welcome you" "Then until we meet again" They shake hands. Cyrax walks over to a section of the wall and tears it off, exposing several large wires. He grabs two and rips them apart. Immediately, warning lights flash throughout the complex and Cyrax falls to the floor, his cybernetic body sparking and falling non-responsive. 　

Electricity sparks shower throughout the rest of the facility. In the confusion, Frost runs over to Noob Saibot, who is kneeling over Sektor's unresponsive form. The three of them are engulfed by one of Kronika's sand tornados and teleported from the facility "They've escaped! We should pursue" Hanzo says ready to follow after them "First we speak with Raiden" Sub-Zero informs "you go do that my first priority is to my daughter" (name) says looking around as the facility continues to shut down, both Grandmasters and warrior look down on Cyrax's motionless form, saying nothing more. The scene cuts to the inside of Kronika's Keep. Three figures stride down one of its passageways - Geras, past Kano and past Erron Black "Our lady Kronika'll get all the service she needs. But I can't quote a fee until I know the job" past Kano said smirking while Geras simply said "You will see" They enter a room with Sektor's body on a table "Can you restore him?" Geras asked as Past Kano looks over Sektor, using his metallic eye to shoot out infrared rays and scan the cyborg's inner workings. Several areas of Sektor appear on a nearby monitor showing damage in multiple areas. 　 　

"There's some frame damage, circuitry looks good" He deactivates the eye scanner "But it looks like someone did a software wipe. Fixing that won't come cheap" "Once he is repaired, can he be replicated? Hundreds of times? Thousands?" Asks Geras. 　

Kano and Erron exchange looks, then lean toward each other to converse. 　 　

"That's a tall order" says past Erron "But anything's possible, with the right help" Past Kano replies "Serve Kronika and she will provide" Geras states. Another voice cuts into the conversation. 　 　

"Take the deal. Trust me" 　 　

The voice is all too familiar, and the man who walks into the room is none other than Kano - looking twenty-five years older but every bit as rugged and malicious as his younger self "Otherwise, who can you trust?" Present Kano says smirking. past Kano walks over to his future namesake, and both leaders of the Black Dragon admirably size each other up. 　

"You weren't kidding. S'like a mirror, reflecting the past" Present Kano commented "How about that? Over fifty and still a ripper" past Kano says as he punches his older self on the shoulder, which is not even felt by the elder. Erron coughs loudly before the two Kanos can get any more intimate. 　

 "There's still the matter of our fee" "We get paid in the New Era. Kronika'll make sure the Black Dragon come out on top. Not only in the black market...in every market" present Kano says smirking "Right then. Let's get to business" past Kano says nodding. 　 　

The scene cuts to the Special Forces headquarters. Sonya is chatting with Jax over cups of coffee. Nearby, Jacqui is typing on a communications device. The camera focuses on the screen, and the device displays "Calling Dad" over a picture of Jacqui and her father, the elder Jackson Briggs. The call is interrupted with a red bar displaying "Call Failed". 　

Jacqui ends the call, looking concerned and agitated at not being able to reach her father. (name) walks over to her holding Calithea walks over to her. 　

 "reached him yet?" she asked "The network's still down. I hate being so far away. Dad must be climbing the walls" Jacqui replied frustrated "give it some time. You'll get through" They both look over to the younger Jax "I know my dad's still alive, but... it's like I'm seeing a ghost" "I know what you mean" "I feel bad for them though" (name) turned to Jacqui as, Calithea once again played with her mother's hair, confused "what do you mean?" Jacqui turns to (name) "because they haven't seen you die yet" (name) looks away "you haven't told them what happens yet have you?" "no and I plan to keep it that way" they both look to the past versions of Sonya and Jax. 　

 "Can this get any more bizarre?"　

The scene cuts to a farm in the countryside, amidst the sunset of autumn. The name "BRIGGS" is displayed on a nearby post box, which is full to the brim with unopened mail. The camera pans over to a house that is in need of some paint work. 　

The camera cuts to inside the hallway of the house. On the walls are pictures of a young Jax in his military uniform, an older Jax posing with his daughter, then two separate pictures of Jax and Jacqui wearing boxing gloves in fighting stances. 　

As more pictures of Jacqui as a child posing next to her father appear, along with a child's drawing of Jax pounding the ground to send the sorcerer Quan Chi into the air, sounds of kitchen objects being moved around. We see two more pictures of Jax and Jacqui in full military dress with an American flag draped behind them, one of an 18 year-old (name), Jax and Verra sitting on the porch smiling and one final picture of Jacqui as a child, her arms around her father's neck and holding a cuddly toy dog with shades and a beret. 　

With this last picture, the camera finally shows the elder Jackson Briggs, frantically searching a nearby desk, before slamming it shut in frustration. He walks over to his refrigerator and hauls it up effortlessly with one hand, feeling under it with the other but finding nothing. 　

"Oh, come on, damn it!" he growls frustrated 　

 He lifts up the seat of his armchair, finding nothing once more, then turns to some papers on another desk. He quickly moves them apart and locates an identical communicator to the one Jacqui had earlier. He activates it at once. 　

 "Come on, come on..." he pleaded 　 The camera focuses on the screen, and the device displays "Calling Jacqui" over the picture of child Jacqui with her arms around her father seen earlier. The call is interrupted with a red circle which displays the words "Connection Failed" beneath it. 　

Jax begins to shake in nervous anxiety. Frustrated, he hurls the device across the room and sits down in his armchair. Far from relaxing though, he leans forward and puts his head in his hands, falling into despair. 　

The camera slowly pans upwards, then cuts to the same location hours later. Jax has fallen asleep in his chair, a beer in his hand and leftover pizza on a nearby table, the only light coming from the television across the room flickering with static but showing nothing else. As he sleeps, the beer slowly tilts from his relaxing hand and begins to fall, spilling its contents toward the floor... until time stops and the bottle's motion with it. With a swirl of sand magic, Kronika teleports into the room and walks toward Jax. "Jackson Briggs" she says calmly. Jax awakens at the sound of his name, but makes no effort to confront the intruder in his house. Kronika looks at him with what appears to be pity and remorse "Do not fear. I have come to offer you a new life - a better life" 　

"That's awfully generous, seeing as we've never met" Jax says sceptically "We have not met, but I know you. How valiantly you served, how horribly you have suffered. That was not my plan for you" she said putting Jax on alert "Your plan?" "You were to retire distinguished, not in disgrace. Years from now. General Jackson Briggs. More importantly, your daughter was not to serve, nor endure the same tragedies you have" 　

She looks to the pictures on the wall "Your home should be filled with grandchildren. Help me and it will be" Jax looks to her, his face uncertain but pondering the weight of her words.

Aaaa thank you! I have a bunch so here we go

After Kuai is brought back from being a revenant, it takes a while for him to get his bearings.

Anan is there every step of the way, comforting him when he has nightmares about all of the awful things Quan-Chi made him do.

Kuai especially hates the fight his revenant self got into with Anan.

Anan reassures him that none of what he did was under his control, and even jokes that it was rather easy to knock him unconscious.

During the events of MK11, Anan was very close to being cyberized.

But when she heard the sounds of Kuai and Hanzo defeating Sektor, she couldn't help but scream for their help.

Kuai immediately perked up at the sound of: "Kuai, please help me!"

He rushes to freeze off her restraints and instantly takes her into his arms.

Relief washed over him as his hands ran through her hair, thankful that she was okay.

After Kronika's defeat, Kuai and Anan finally have the chance to grieve Hanzo and their fallen Lin Kuei.

Together they took everything one day at a time, consulting Liu Kang when they needed guidance.

A year passes, Kuai and Anan are joint Grandmasters of the Lin Kuei. With this, they also finally agree to begin their own family.

Anan soon falls pregnant and Kuai couldn't be more happy.

He is her fierce protector and is constantly making sure she is comfortable and feeling okay.

Kuai is always present and will be for as long as he lives.

These two love each other deeply and they always will.

Hi idk if you've talked about this before but how do you feel about the end of awakening slides where if you romance Zev you and him likely take over the crows or something else to that effect. Does that fit in with what you imagine for your Surana?

it's interesting! i always saw her remaining with the grey wardens, and zevran leaving for antiva during awakening felt like a temporary split that made sense; he plans to go with her to amaranthine in the dao epilogue, but the crows are still hounding them, and he decides he has to confront his past and go on the offensive. it feels like a really good conclusion to how he started his dao arc fleeing what happened to him, and it gives him the agency in the relationship that i (and minerva) always really want to give him. his letter in awakening seems to imply he expects this to be a matter he will wrap up relatively soon and return to her.

however, i can absolutely see it getting more complicated than that, as zevran sees other recruits being trained and realises he can’t just make sure the crows back off from him while letting them continue to do this to other children. all the references to him seriously taking down and destabilising the crows seem to imply something more like this. and while minerva is committed to the grey wardens and the vigil, i can see her at some point leaving for several months to join and help him. by that point she’d have built up enough trust in her recruits to appoint one of them to command in her place for a while—nathaniel or sigrun would do—and she’d also miss zevran so much, though i do think he visited when he could. i know he’d be delighted to introduce her to antiva no matter the circumstances

i have a lot of questions about whatever zevran’s doing in antiva; what does it actually mean? i’m fascinated by the idea of him taking out or drastically restructuring the crows because i cannot emphasise enough how essential we are told the crows are to antiva. they are involved in every aspect of antivan political life; they are the entire reason antiva is supposed not to need a standing army. destabilise the crows and you destabilise an entire nation. i of course love this for zevran and he always has minerva’s support but she’s never a blind follower and would have practical questions abt his end goals here that i’m not sure how he would answer. there’s also the difficulty of a commander of the grey, no doubt already facing serious questions abt her political involvements even when done under the necessities of a blight, getting herself into such a situation. some degree of secrecy would be necessary at the very least

i also think any attempts by zevran to overthrow the crows would give minerva serious thoughts abt the circle—about what might be done to change things for children like her as zev is changing things for children like him. and it’s worth noting that i do hc them having a child of their own at some point in this timeline so that factors into their decision making. i am fairly committed to minerva returning to the vigil and the little lad being raised there, and i imagine zev still making moves back and forth between antiva and ferelden indefinitely (this checks out with his da2 appearance i think?). if zev does actually straight up take over the crows she wouldn’t be joint grandmaster or anything any more than he’s warden-commander in amaranthine. they both have their own obligations and motivations and that’s fine it just takes some wrangling to manage and a lot of letter writing and travelling and occasionally some long-suffering grey warden babysitters

Just some quick Titan Kara notes and I'll go into it in a more coherent post.

• Kara's timeline is one where Ashrah sought absolution and received it. So did Sareena.

• The tournament is a universal canon event - (Confirmed by both Liu Kang and Geras) the Android uprising however, is not. Neither is the Outworld Civil War. Both can and have co-existed (the 2011 tourney/Shao Kahn incursion and the 2036 invasion).

The only other timelines where this is unique is T-800's timeline (since CL androids and Skynet cannot co-exist.), Erron Black's and Rambo's (since Rambo and Erron Black both chose not to become Titans their timelines end naturally when their hourglasses run out.)

• Titan Kara's is one of the timelines that neither had an Android Uprising or a Civil War in Outworld. The only other timeline that exists without both is Kitana's. Kara's is also a timeline with a good Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.

• Luther and Geras are co-custodians of the hourglass. It's an important job. And Luther becomes something of Geras' apprentice. One day Luther will take over as the Guardian of the Hourglass.

• North, Echo, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Kung Lao, Markus and Johnny Cage are Kara's Champions. Yes. The fact there are 7 is a reference to The Seven in The Boys (and Valorie Curry playing Firecracker but also foreshadows Homelander)

• Nines doesn't exist. Connor does however. The DPD are not hunting androids. They are however hunting the Black Dragon, in this timeline led by Mavado not Kano.

• Kabal now has the Nightwolf mantle, with Grey Cloud as his guide.

• In Kara's new era Kitana and Mileena are also twins. Tarkat doesn't happen and Tarkatans are an ancient, revered warrior tribe. Mileena was trained in Kombat from childhood by Baraka.

• Earthrealm has won 5 of the ten tournaments, the realms are at a draw. The decider was supposed to be held in Seido.

• A Sixty independent of Connor exists in Orderrealm. He is a Seidan Guard. He was betrayed by this timeline's Dairou/Havik and Darrius.

• Kuai Liang Tundra and Bi Han Sub-Zero. Another timeline with Joint Grandmasters of the Lin Kuei™. Harumi Shirai is Scorpion.

Black is the colour of the Force. More specifically the Dark-Side of the Force, but Sith philosophies and most Korribani Force practices predating the arrival of the twelve Jedi Exiles consider the Dark-Side to be a) the default, and b) consisting of a broader spectrum of the Force than the Jedi do. Kissai paradigms understand ‘darkness’ as a product of saturation rather than as one end of a binary light-dark spectrum. So as a piece of cloth can be coloured with dye, dirt, or blood, the Force is imbued with emotion, memory, and life presence. Black fabrics are traditionally achieved using intense blues, greys, etc. rather than with a true black dye.

True black, the absence of light, is associated with the void of space rather than the Force. It’s difficult to create in artwork – especially using fabric which needs to be washed – so it is often implied using contrast.

Wearing full black is restricted by Imperial law to Sith who have passed their Trials or are in the process of undertaking them.

Imperial Red single colour outfits may only be worn by those in direct service to the Emperor; the Hand, the Wrath, the Imperial Guard. It is the particular shade used in the Emperor’s personal crest that also serves as the symbol of his Empire.

White is the colour of death without remembrance. It implies bleaching rather than natural emptiness; dead bone, colours faded, the Force cleansed of feeling and memory.

After the Great Hyperspace War, the Jedi are depicted in full white, even though the Jedi’s go-to robe palette of brown and beige was already well established. This symbolises their role as the destroyers of libraries and tombs and languages, as well as having the pleasing effect of creating a dramatic visual contrast with the Sith. In depictions of the joint taskforce to Yavin IV made after the destruction of Ziost Grandmaster Satele and the other Jedi are shown in browns and tans; it is the former Emperor, Vitiate, who is cloaked in white.

Death with remembrance is symbolised by the shades of blue described by those who can see Force Ghosts; pale and electric. Blue and white together is traditional funerary dress – while their legacy is preserved some things are inevitably lost with their death – unless the spirit of the deceased is in attendance, in which case the white is unnecessary. Showing up to a funeral wearing all white or close to it communicates something to the effect of either "I lost this person without having the chance to know them and have feelings about that; please tell me your stories about them" or "I killed them and now I will kill all of you too".

Green, unsurprisingly, symbolises plants. From plants, it is linked with biosciences and, because medical research and public health fall under the purview of the Sphere of Biotic Science, medicine and pharmaceuticals.

In Kissai traditions predating the founding of the Sith Order green is associated with what the Jedi consider to be the Light-Side of the Force, or a form of it – the Force reflecting the life and growth and death of plants, algae, fungi, and non-sentient animals free from the intelligible thoughts and feelings of sentient beings.

📓 Maybe something to do with Mortis?

Ahsoka had drowned once, when she was still just a kid on shili. Her cousins had taken her into the plains to watch her and hunt some fresh red foul for lunch. 

They said they only took their eyes off of her for a second. One cousin was cleaning his kill, the other had turned to correct his methods. Then there was a splash and a cough.

Ahsoka doesn't remember much of it herself. Just waking up with vomit and water running down her chest. And the ache in her whole body. The way her lungs cried with every breath stuttering over chattering teeth. Her sore stomach clenching over and over with nothing more to force up.

She's never dwelled too much on that memory. But now, sitting in the cockpit of the twilight, it comes rushing back with surprising clarity.

Her head is pounding. Every muscle and joint in her body aches like the end of a rough campaign. Her lips are cold. And her stomach hurts more than she can describe. 

Rex's voice echoes over the speakers. Anakin and Obi-wan respond to his questions with equally confused vagueness. 

She's so confused. Unintelligible flashes of memories clouded her mind. 

Did she dream of falling to the darkside? 

Did she die?

Obi-wan is beside her very suddenly. Kneeled on the cold durasteel floor to be more eye level with her. 

"It was a vision, young one. Only a vision. Try and breath with me." He tries to talk her down from her sudden spike of desperate fear. She felt like the air had been sucked out of her lungs.

But she lets him talk her down while Anakin pilots them to the rendezvous point. He explains that shared visions happen sometimes between jedi with closely tied fates. Especially when the force believes they have a lesson to learn together. 

And although the events of force visions may feel very real they cannot harm you. 

He tells her several times that they are safe in the twilight. 

And by the time they actually reach the rendezvous, Ahsoka has put herself back together enough to do her job. 

But she doesn't forget. The fatigue won't let her think this was a purely mental experience. Because why would her body hurt so much?

But she trusts her grandmaster's word. 

It isn't until days later when she's stripping down for a bath, her first real one with real water for a few weeks, that she sees it.  Under her vambrace are several small scars all aligned in an arch. 

Like a bite.

• When I started shipping them: hey did you guys know theres a chin tilt™ in the movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle Of The Realms (2021) that Ive seen this january of the year 2022

• My thoughts: I hate them so much. theyre perfect foils in almost every way you can think of. they have an extremely appealing enemies-to-friends arc. in fact they tick most of the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers dynamics in one way or another, in one incarnation or another. with the multiple timelines deal you can even sprinkle a little bit of soulmates trope in there. you cannot have one without the other in the general consciousness. theyre perfect opposites and so similar at the same time. their shared storyline is Romantic with a capital R, with its fair share of drama, revelations, guilt, duty, honor, and conflicted feelings, two assassin clans alike in dignity, in fair earthrealm where we lay our scene. theyre LITERALLY fire and ice and everything about them just bring you back to that point. AND theyre both stupid pretty on top of that.

• What makes me happy about them: they were grown in a lab for 30 years to appeal to me personally💙💛 literally tick every single boxes

• What makes me sad about them: if they werent two guys they wouldve been canon ages ago and you know it

• Things done in fanfic that annoys me: mischaracterization in favor of the author's personal fantasies, usually sexual. Sucks so much when a good fic or a good concept gets ruined by them being OOC during (sometimes uneeded) sexy times. I know thats like, 90% of the fics on AO3 but still, lemme mourn.

• Things I look for in fanfic: if we're going Legends or OG timeline, you can never go wrong with a good old devoted protector scorpion. If we're going current timeline, oooh babey gimme that grandmasters middle age mutual pining, sometimes keeping things simple is where its at.

• My wishlist: so fun fact, most of my wishlist already kinda happened, thanks snowblind but literally everything before it. So I guess I would really just like to see the two of them interact in a casual setting for once, see how theyd normally interact. Second would be cuddles and kisses ofc.

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Im a subsmoke enjoyer but ONLY in a tragic doomed teenage romance kinda way, two boy best friends in an extremely restrictive environment that forbid close bonds let alone intimate, come on. Other than that... kuai has stupid chemistry with a lot of characters but in the actual story i dont see a lot of potential candidates. As for hanzo, I like him with harumi ngl, if he manages to get his family back good for him, but just like kuai, the ninjas are pretty isolated otherwise and have the closest narrative bond with each other so if not with the other well I dont think Id see it :/

• My happily ever after for them: Legends/OG timelime wise, scorpy continues to play guardian angel with benefits while kuai gives him a purpose, current timeline is the two grandmasters accidentaly making their clans more and more alike due to them sharing a similar mindset, which could perhaps eventually end with them reuniting the clans as it once was, as joint grandmasters wink wink. but my personal favorite is the mk9 sub zero ending where both of them "disappear together into legends" and are just living together in a little house in the middle of nowhere when theyre not avenging the innocents. and disappear even more into legends when they both get to the netherrealm killing the shit out of everything in sight there.
