This is the anon who you once called "big brain anon". I just had an idea why Bakugo fans can't see how bad his behavior is: you know how snakes can see infrared light, but we can't, and bees can see ultraviolet light, but we can't? Theory: modern fandoms literally "can't see cruelty unless it's inflicted by either an Oppressor or an Authority Figure." Thus, since Bakugo is just a student, fandoms literally CAN'T see the pain he inflicts on others, so they think we're "mad at him for no reason."
Elements of Anti Bakugou, Bakugou Critcal, BNHA Narrative critical below. If any of these offend you, please move on.
I can’t say this is what’s going on for sure, but I don’t think it’s not that they can’t see the pain Bakagou inflicts, it’s just they don’t see it as a big deal.
Part of that is because of the writing; very few scenes show Bakagou is in the wrong. And the wrong actions are usually glanced over, or used to further Bakagou’s pain. This is narrative manipulation in action.
Take the Final Exam Arc; Bakagou attacking Izuku out of nowhere, just because the latter was talking reason was wrong. I haven’t even seen Bakagou’s stans justify that scene, or say Bakagou was right in doing so. However, they don't focus on that. What they focus on is what the story focuses on; Bakagou’s inner turmoil and conflict.
Izuku is hurt, but the story doesn’t focus on that or the memories it most likely brought up. And since the narrative doesn’t make a big deal out of it, why should they? If Bakagou’s actions actually did any damage, then the story would have focused on it.
We very rarely—if ever—see the consequences of Bakagou’s actions, and when we do, we only see how they affect Bakgou, not others.
Throw on top of that that literally every other main character is singing him praises and justifying even his worse moments, and here we are.
Because of this, it's easy to forget that his actions did have an effect and hurt others.
So, yeah, in a way some—and sadly the most vocal of Bakagou’s stans—might be a touch blind to his actions, but the blame for that mainly lies in how the story is told. Therefore, the blame is on the Mangaka, the editors, and whoever else is involved with the storytelling.

Thinkin bout Sampo Koski rn as like. His character n what we get of him in honkai star rail and he fucking. He confuses me like. There has to be So Much more to him like
The general vibes of him and especially how other characters treat him is that of comic relief, a punching bag, a goof, just a slick conman causing trouble. It's genuinely difficult NOT to insult him n treat him badly with dialogue options and any time he's even mentioned March 7th hisses at him. He's literally a cryptid in belobog. He's a joke.
But. But. There's his light cone. It makes me insane. It contradicts all of that.
In it he's competent. He's badass. He's omnipotent. He's able to somehow know a sniper from however far away is locked on him and address them specifically.
And even like... in the entire plot of jarilo-vi he's spoken of like he's not much. He's a 4 star character. But he's practically as present as bronya and seele and Gepard and his involvement in the story is ASTRONOMICAL. He has a part in every major event. He's the one who drags the Trailblazers and bronya into the Underworld. He's the one who takes you to svarog, to the overworld again. He gets Natasha and saves you from svarog. He's the first character you ever meet on jarilo.
And he seems to just vanish before you confront cocolia. But no. Sampo is the one who has the last word and wraps up the entire mission on jarilo-vi. He fucking breaks the forth wall. Jarilo-vi both begins and ends with Sampo.
He calls himself shadowy comic relief yet he seemingly orchestrated everything. What is he. What the fuck is he doing. What else is up with him and when will we get more of him. I want to bite into him and tear him apart.

Ok so. my running theory is that Bhaal only took back his blood. because that is what you see leaving their body. But the Dark Urge is made from Bhaal's flesh too - and that still means that any of your spawn will still be fundamentally bhaalspawn. That means that they are still fundamentally bhaalspawn, just that Bhaal cannot directly control them anymore. Bhaal's flesh freed from his blood with its own soul.
my other running theory - which might be true but I cannot fact check in game documents at the moment - is that the Dark Urge was not supposed to be his 'most perfect spawn' but an avatar. An attempt at resurrection. (either from Bhaal's intent or that of his worshippers).
The web 'game' Blood in Baldur's Gate shows us that Durge was canonically active during 1477 DR. This is 15 years before the events of the game in 1492 DR and 5 years before Bhaal is resurrected.
Bhaal is resurrected in 1482 DR as of the adventure module Murder in Baldur's gate where it claims that the last bhaalspawn die, thus freeing enough of his blood for Bhaal to return. But we know that this isn't every bhaalspawn because Durge, Orin, Saravok are around still.
The point being that Bhaal is very much still dead long before the conception of the Dark Urge. We know that durge was a child and as shown in Blood in Baldur's Gate they are depicted as an adult (and could at the least be a teenager, hard to tell with dragonborn I suppose). So they were made and existed long before Bhaal returned and were likely made around a century post-his death in the second sundering (around 1358 DR).
Which thus leads me to believe the Dark Urge isn't supposed to be daddy's perfect little spawn but Bhaal's new body. A body that became obsolete upon his proper resurrection, so it was given a different purpose.
It does bring into question the creation of Sceleritas Fel - supposedly made by Bhaal to guide them. Hard to do so from death and powerless. Perhaps a subconscious thing by Durge? Knowing they needed help - and as a demi-god the closest thing to Bhaal's will that was left?

i have grown kinda tired of all the studio ghibli and totk comparisons bc i love most of miyazakis movies and its so annoyingly obvious that if totk actually took inspiration from them its all just the surface level aesthetic and none of the good story telling

Ive been slowly playing through In Stars and Time and Siffrin needs a dang minute and a hug man. So I'm drawing him getting a hug that he could get with only some possible razzing and/or scalding.
Ive also added a couple other drawings as a treat for myself hahaha.

Drew WWX and LWJ after I finished my rewatch of The Untamed a few months ago. I have gotten marginally better. May this set a benchmark for what to expect from this blog.

No thoughts, head empty, only the haunting mental image of Eddie Munson waking up in the Upside Down, all alone and bloody and left behind (and maybe even turned into a vampire if we're going with the Kas the Bloodyhanded theory) and having to survive the Upside Down on his own. So it's just him lying on top of the roof of his trailer, guitar in hands, a small but attentive crowd of demobats sitting around him, playing Solitude by Black Sabbath

Here's my latest insane theory:
Whenever Alastor goes full demon/power up, he gets stitches all over his face and body, right?.
If going full demon is meant to show their true form, we could consider the possibility that he's not a deer demon, but rather a puppet demon.
He wants to break free and be the one in control instead, "Guess who will be pulling all the strings"
Everything he does is a performance, a lie.
Motherfucker is Pinocchio.

Thought the difference was funny so here’s that meme with the closest thing to a “face reveal” I’ll do.
Granted I was dressed up to run errands and such when I was watching lol. Yes that’s a Jurassic Park button up. I own three different ones.

Imagine Egg A1 still has one life left, and it somehow manages to escape the facility... It is being followed by mobs, by Federation employees, being hurt by the poison ivy and other environmental threats, but it keeps running, because what other choice is there? That parkour course was a trick after all, the last block was a fake, it was never meant to pass that test in the first place.
So it keeps running, but the Federation workers are getting closer. It won't be able to avoid them forever...
But then it bursts through some bushes and comes face to face with someone new - and it's Bad, out building or exploring or just wandering alone. A1 is immediately afraid, of course. It is a stranger, a very visually striking stranger, the complete opposite of the pure white and featureless employees of the Federation. But there are people close behind, and it knows what will happen to it if it is caught, so... It has no choice but to try. It has no way to communicate, no signs or books, so it simply rushes to hide behind him and hopes he understands, and that he is willing to help...
And Bad, for his part, well.. he's an extremely cautious and paranoid person, and this is just an incredibly confusing and unexpected situation to be in. An unknown egg appeared out of nowhere and is hiding behind him, he can see Federation employees in the distance that are clearly looking for something... He knows that the code has been disguising itself as eggs, and that the strange egg in front of him with no marks, no distinguishing features, an egg that he has never seen before, could easily be the code monster preparing to attack at any moment...
But there is absolutely no way Bad could ever look at an egg in distress and not try to help it, even knowing it could be a trap.
So he quickly digs a shallow hole and pushes the mysterious egg into it, covering it up just in time, and when the employees throw him a book asking if he had seen anything, he lies effortlessly, he complains about nonsense, he asks them where the Ekea is and is as annoying as he can be, until they leave.
And now they're alone... just Bad an this mystery egg in the middle of the woods, A1 too afraid to leave the hole even when Bad tries to coax it out. He gives it food and tries his best to comfort it, to tell it everything is okay and that the pursuers are gone. He gives it some signs and a book, trying to see if it will write anything to him or answer any of his questions, but he gets no reply. A1 is just too afraid to even attempt to answer, and Bad doesn't even know if it understands him. He tries what few words he does know of the other languages, and still no response.
What should he do? As much as the image of a tiny, terrified egg makes him want to do all he can for it he also needs to be safe. He can't bring it home, because if it is a code there is no way he is bringing it anywhere near Dapper. Should he call someone else for help, or would that draw too much attention? Would it even be safe for him or the egg to let anyone know right now? And was this egg dangerous, or harmless and in need of protection? He wouldn't abandon it regardless but...
What now?

Amy and Sheldon in their HP merch through the seasons. Amy is a Hufflepuff (confirmed 2 times) and Sheldon is a Gryffindor (confirmed 3 times). I think it's a nice touch that the writers didn't go "their nerds lol their obvs Ravenclaws".
I think it sort of fits? Amy is very unpretentious and loyal, Sheldon has a kind of bravado about him. Both have, in each their own way, a strong sense of fairness. It's a small detail, but I like that they don't get reduced to their intellect.

does anyone remember when team salvato had that “for fans by fans” fanart merch contest, but like it had a backstory that monika “wasn’t allowed to participate” cause “she always wins and it would be unfair :(” but like all images of her and mentions of her name were glitched out, and in the background of the promo art there was a piece of paper with her poem “Hole in Wall” mostly erased (and not even in her font asset, just in the neutral/MC handwriting font) so all signs pointed to monika’s file being deleted
but then literally none of that was ever directly acknowledged in the posts or the merch for the contest, or in ddlc+ lore, or on other posts from team salvato’s twitter or monika’s twitter account? so, though it probably wasn’t intended to be lore to begin with, we never got any context for it, even within the constraints of the “backstory” for this specific contest?
…no? just me? ok.
