“How was it?” your sister asked as she took the sleeping child from Charles “Great, she was in complete awe the whole time” you told your sister smiling “She even got to sit in the passenger seat” you added looking at Charles with an amusing look

“How was I supposed to say no when she gave me the cutest dimpled smile” He exclaimed chuckling causing you and your sister to join in

“Well I just appreciate you taking her, we should get going, but we’ll see you at Christmas?” your sister asked as she repositioned the child in her arms so she could slip her boots on

“For sure” You replied, leaning in to give your sister a side hug and leaving a kiss on the sleeping girls forehead

“Thanks auntie Y/N for taking me to the lights” your niece mumbled half awake, half asleep

“Anything for you sweet girl” you told the girl back before showing your sister out, making sure her and your niece were safely in the car before shutting the door and turning to your boyfriend who let out a yawn causing you to chuckle

“Is someone tired?” you asked playfully, walking into his arms looking up at him “Maybe a little bit” he said in response to your question looking down at you

“Why don’t I make us some hot cocoa and then we can go cuddle?” You offered “Sounds good to me” he smiled and leant down to give you a quick kiss, knowing you were both enjoying this peaceful moment

You and Charles were back at the cabin you were staying at for the weekend. Charles was talking on the phone with his brothers and his mom getting their congratulations even though you made sure your immediate family members knew before you both decided to post on social media.

You were sitting by the fireplace, curled up with a hot cocoa wearing one of Charles’ sweatshirts, admiring the ring on your finger, you still couldn’t believe you were marrying the love of your life. It felt like a dream, one you never wanted to wake up from.

“What are you thinking about mon amour?” Charles asked coming into the living area off of the phone. He sat beside you, wrapping an arm around you, pulling you closer to him

“Just this” you told him referring to the ring he gave you a few hours prior “Cant believe I’m going to be your wife” you smiled, looking at him

“I’d marry you right now if it was an option” He told you returning the same, lovesick smile you were giving him.

“I think our mothers would have heart attacks if we eloped” You joked, knowing your mother was already in wedding mode even if it had only been a few hours “I know” he chuckled, agreeing with you

“Seriously though I’m so lucky” You said giving him a kiss on the cheek

“I’m the lucky one” Charles told you, kissing your head as you laid it on his shoulder “You’re my everything”.

You couldn’t see him but you could hear his smile and you wore a very similar one on your own face.

This was your forever and you couldn’t be happier.

Daemon's smiles slowly - seeing that both of his daughters were enjoying the concert. Of course, it cost him a fortune - but anything for his twins. "If we survived the Great War!" Baela kept singing and dancing to the sound of Taylor's acoustic melody.

"Uhuh, uhuh..." she hummed while holding her sister's hand.

Daemon turns to the scene in front of him - another woman was blocking his view. You were wearing a white button down shirt, and colorful pants that were decorated with purple-pink butterflies.

"Clôture," he mumbled in French, and to his surprise you turned around. "Excusez-moi?" your eyebrows merged into each other. "Sorry," he rolled his eyes - not in the mood to get into a fight.

A frown is permanently etched on his face after that.

Annoying.

Of course, fate wasn't happy with just one interaction.

Daemon saw you again - a few weeks after the concert.

"Ah, this is my daughter." Harwin smiles, pulling you closer to his body. "Last time I saw her, she was still 'this' tall." Laenor chuckled, hands pointing at his knees. Oh, does he remember seeing you - the little cunt that blocked his view during the concert.

"She's already taller than you," Harwin laughed, gaze trailing towards Daemon. "Don't remind me." Laenor rolled his eyes while taking a swig of his beer. His jaw clenches seeing you in front of him.

Plump lips that were perfect for kissing - eyes that were perfect for staring - most of all, he liked the way he hated you.

Harwin turns his head slightly in your direction. "He's Uncle Daemon - we used to be friends back in high school." Harwin explained and you extended your hand for him to shake. He clicks his tongue in distaste, but he still shakes your hand - soft and fragranced.

"It's nice to meet you," you mumble shyly - staring at the floor.

"You too." his lips settled into a thin line.

Daemon was beginning to regret staying in Harwin's house.

A groan escapes his mouth, watching you play with your food. It seems like everything you did managed to anger him. "So, Daemon? You've ever been to this part of Australia?" his friend inquires, one hand was holding a fork - and the other was around his new wife, Rhaenyra (his niece.)

"Never, actually - I've only been to Sydney." he confesses, choosing to ignore your existence. "Well, you're going to enjoy it here - it's calm and the beach isn't filled with that much wildlife." he pointed, and Daemon's gaze moves in your direction.

There was a slight tan on your face - hair slightly matted from saltwater and he could smell the salt breeze. He'd enjoy it here.

"I've heard a lot of conflicting reports," he chuckled, exchanging a knowing stare with his niece. "I got bitten by a spider once!" she defends herself, knowing that she wasn't used to Australia's fauna. "She got very lucky - it wasn't venomous." her husband grinned.

"But my daughter, not much." Harwin looked at you.

"Got bitten by a venomous one - but trust me, I wasn't the one panicking." you giggled, and Harwin smiled defeatedly. It was hard raising a child on his own - since your mother was a no show. "I had to rush her to the hospital via airlift, it was a good thing they got the antidote in time." he informed.

"Via airlift?" Daemon questioned.

"Yep, because apparently the car isn't fast enough." you rolled your eyes playfully. "The helicopter gives them a sense of urgency," Harwin shrugged, turning towards Daemon. "I'm sure you get it mate. We'd do anything for our daughters." your father looks for an ally.

Rhaenyra chuckles quietly.

"Don't let his cold exterior fool you. He once rushed Rhaena to the hospital because she got a rash - and he thought that it was sepsis." Rhaenyra rats out, and her uncle lets out a small laugh.

"I guess we are the same, Harwin."

"I remember you, actually." your opened your mouth - taking a casual sip of the newly-fermented kombucha that your dad made. "You called me a fence," you pouted, and he kept staring down at you. He had a murderous glint in his eyes - one that spoke 'sex' and lust. He keeps looking at you - gaze trailing up and down from your navel to your face. "You were." he admitted, no sign of remorse on his face.

"It's not my fault that you're short," you rolled your eyes, adjusting your bikini top. "But I'm still taller than you," he yapped - amused by your sudden fieriness. What was inside that kombucha?

"It would be embarrassing if you weren't, right?" you smirked and he leaned down on your body, butt firmly pressed on your bed-bed. By this point, your hips were barely touching each other. "Shame too because you'd be handsome, if it weren't for your attitude," you mumbled - seeing how far his temper would reach.

A light scoff exits his lips, his hands were on your thigh.

"My attitude, now?" he growled - rubbing small circles on your inner leg. It made your blood pump - eyes see red. The thought that anyone could walk in on the both of you eye-fucking was exhilarating. The chase was fun - but to have this man? It was wrong, immoral, weird - and you liked that.

"You should be thankful that I find you handsome, not a lot of men are." you replied - seemingly unfazed with his seduction. "- and not a lot of women are pretty too," he answered, eyes staring deep into your soul. "When you say it - it sounds offensive," you narrowed your eyes and his hand reaches for your cheek.

"You're a pretty girl - if that eases the offensiveness," he mused. He was the pomegranate - and you were Persephone. "A little," you stared at his lips - smiling as his face moves closer.

He was just about to kiss you - but you pull away.

"It was nice chatting, Uncle Daemon." you grinned, rising to your feet and wrapping the dainty towel around your hips.

Uncle Daemon, the word seemed to stir something inside of him.

Daemon keeps staring at your instagram post - he doesn't usually do social media but he wanted to pry deeper into your private life. It wasn't hard finding you - Harwin and Rhaenyra posted you regularly.

A low growl escapes his mouth seeing the first photo - only a sheet was covering your body.

"Daemon, we'll be gone for a few hours. Can you watch the little girl for me?" Harwin offers with a kind smile and he closes his phone immediately. His friend would kill him. "Sure," he nodded - quickly handed with a bottle of beer.

He leans on your doorframe, watching while you scrolled through social media mindlessly. "Are you always left at home?" he cleared his throat and your attention shifts to him. "I don't mind," you answer, patting the empty space beside you.

"Well, I do - it's boring here." he complained - having no issues in laying down beside you. His father always told him that his best asset was his command of everyone. Daemon took up space, he could say what he wanted to without fear of consequence. "What do you propose we do?" you place your phone on the pillow.

"Fuck?" he teased - a laugh escapes your mouth. "You're older than me - aren't you supposed to make more sense?" you joked, staring deep into his purple eyes. He was wearing a tight shirt - you could make out the small curves of his body - his abs and his nipples. "I'm making perfect sense," he shrugged - hands moving to your hips.

Some extra “facts” and interesting weird info about a certain self proclaimed tiger lady house cat in my TBOSAS on Crack!AU.

One of my great THG buddies was asking about Tigris Snow and her weird cheese addiction. So I just had to write some things down before I write my next short take.

Tigris Snow is extremely addicted to cheese. She’s a certified cheese addict and “cheese thief” since the day she and her little cousin (Coryo) lost their marbles after the war ended.🧀

No one knows why, but little Tigris Snow claimed that the “cheese fairies” came to her in a dream one day and saved her and her little cousin from death and starvation.

Don’t worry. Crazy Coryo Snow doesn’t mind that his poor cousin is addicted to cheese and believes in some “mythical” cheese fairies. He has his own addictions (cabbages) and problems (Highbottom & Dr. Gaul) to worry about.

In truth, Coryo’s “mythical” cabbage deities and lima bean elves commanded him to ignore the “calling of the cheese” in order to stay pretty for his sugar daddy (Sejanus).

At least both of them inherited their family’s rare ability to bargain with wild animals. They can even converse with “sacred” rabid raccoons, poisonous snakes, and wild squirrels without getting attacked.

Meanwhile, the Creeds can talk to sewer rats and fat chinchillas for some reason.

And the Ravinstills have a rare ability to command an army of Bichon Frisé puppies to do their dirty jobs for them.

Sadly, Tigris was recently fired by Fabricia Whatnot for secretly stealing and eating expensive cheese cubes and cheddar chicken sandwiches all day.

She said that her cheese fairies made her do it. A food sacrifice must be made before the “hour of the owl” in order to satisfy the ancient cheese deities of the “Golden Arches” (McDonald’s) who once ruled Panem (America) even before it existed.

Moreover, our sweet tiger was actually sewing and hiding little cheese cubes inside some of the dresses on accident purpose without Fabricia noticing. Her co-workers didn’t even know about the cheese cubes until some unfortunate lady complained about the smell.😔

That’s why our dear Tigris Snow is currently unemployed and living her best happy-go-lucky “house cat” life in Corso.

But crazy unemployed Nero Price is her worst nightmare. He’s a self proclaimed werewolf who howls at the moon all night.

She’s a poor skinny cat and Price is a crazy werewolf who runs around the city (like a wild dog) looking for rabid raccoons and Peacekeepers to fight. So it’s better for the tiger to stay home with the Grandma’am.

At least her little cousin (Coryo) buys her the best cheese tarts and sugar sticks after school (using his rich sugar daddy’s money of course).

So yeah. Tigris Snow is now the NEET (not in education, employment or training) Cat Queen in this weird universe.

However, the Grandma’am doesn’t mind. She already has big plans with old Strabo Plinth to rule Panem from the shadows after Coryo marries into the Plinth family and their fortune.

And yes, our poor malnourish looking Cabbage Boy (Coryo) is actually the real breadwinner of the family.

Coryo marrying his long time sugar daddy boyfriend (Sejanus) was the best decision he and his family ever made.🥰

At least love-struck Sejanus Plinth was willing to pay for his poor sugar baby’s bills, rent, and groceries.

So after Coryo and Seji Pie got married and had their 24 (and more) babies, crazy cat auntie Tigris decided to finally settle down and became an official cheese merchant in Corso.

She (now) even has the time to talk to her mythical cheese fairy friends without being interrupted by evil Fabricia Whatnot.

She, along with Ma Plinth also like to spend old Strabo Plinth’s filthy money on the sweetest cheesecakes and weird looking clothing hangers every weekend.

Unfortunately, Ma Plinth is the only sane person who believes in Tigris Snow’s little cheese fairy friends.

Ma even joined Tigris Snow’s little secret organization called ✨The Cult of The Golden Arches✨. But to be fair, crazy Palmyra Monty and Festus Creed are the only other official members of her cult.

Too bad. Nobody could see those little cheese fairies except for Tigris and Coryo.

However, poor crazy Coryo likes to ignore his cousin’s mythical “beasts” because he claims that his cabbage deities and lima bean elves don’t want him to bow and worship some weird annoying creatures who divided the old world with their “Golden Arches” (McDonald’s).

Reject the cheese! Bow before the cabbage!

Yeah, I know. The poor Snow cousins are unashamedly crazy and delusional with their cheese fairies, ancient food deities, sacred animals, talking cabbages, and lima bean elves.😂

But don’t be sad. Our crazy cheese tiger is still into fashion and making clothes for her little cousin and his 24 (and more) gorgeous children with Sejanus.

But selling and eating cheese is her true passion and calling (in this life anyway).🧀

I hope you're having a great day/evening/night! Here's a bit of a head cannon, (with pictures!) for when Hotch has his black GF and meets her family (and stuff). This is a lot lmao, thanks for taking the time to read this 😅I'm sending this to all the black Hotch gworls to get y'all's opinions, I'm curious lol

So, these kids? Your niece and nephew, twins, you call them double trouble because your sibling is always sending them for the tea. Aaron fell (easily) into the trap and now they're asking him a million questions. He takes them all in stride of course, because no one is coming to save him.

Now this is your nephew from your older sibling, y'all all met up at the pumpkin patch and Hotch is trying to listen to the audio tour of the farm, but like the twins, he has taken to Hotch and won't leave him alone, but Hotch is happy to oblige him.

Of course we know who this is, but Aaron didn't know that she was your Auntie. (She's your youngest Aunt that kind of slipped in there later, so she's more of an older cousin). I have a HUGE family (23 brothers and sisters and probably 60 cousins, along with so many nieces and nephews that it isn’t funny) so imagining bringing him to meet all of them at a family reunion would be WILD. The kids have so many questions; why is he wearing a suit for starters? They take turns wearing his sunglasses and they even ask to wear his badge, proudly showing it off as they run around the yard and play 🥹

Aaron is so good at spades and your uncles immediately make him a part of their circle. He sits at the table with them while they keep an eye on the kids playing, drinking bitter scotch and playing spades while you work in the kitchen with your grams and your aunts and older cousins; he’s already a part of the family traditions and they accept him so easily it makes you so happy that they all get along

You and your Aunt Tara basically share a brain. You were her shadow growing up, wanting to be just like her even though you took your own path. You have no clue she and Aaron know each other but she makes sure he knows you’re her favorite niece and he better not hurt you! She’s so protective but she knows Aaron will always take care of you and keep you safe 🥰

The pumpkin patch 😩💕 the boy in the photo reminds me of my nephew Davien, they both have the same smile it made me miss him so much 😭 by the end of the day, he’s riding on Aaron’s shoulders, calling him Uncle Aaron 🥹🥹 he spoils him ALL DAY LONG, buying him souvenirs and snacks any time he bats his eyelashes, which turns Aaron into MUSH! You start making visits a regular occurrence because he’s always asking about Aaron and when he can see him again 💕

It’s no secret that Aaron has good taste but you start buying him clothes just because and soon he adopts your style; you have matching timberland boots and so many matching pairs of sneakers that it isn’t funny(however the first time you surprise him with a pair of Nikes, he almost loses his mind and the price, so he starts ordering you matching pairs so you’re not paying for them) even the people at work are noticing his new change of style, complimenting his colorful polos and the shoes that match. Derek would be like 🤔 the first time he saw him in a pair of exclusive sneakers, maybe some that are retro and cool as hell and super expensive because he didn’t realize Aaron was the type to dress in anything other than a suit and leather shoes.

The picture of him and Quavo made me smile so big. He LOVES Migos, but especially Fight Night. You both sing them so loud in the car, making up your own ad libs, and to no one’s surprise, he has incredible rhythm(because dancing) and you love that you can vibe together on long drives! His playlist is so similar to yours now that you can barely tell them apart.

Also! Back to family gatherings! My family has me cook the majority of the food for every function because I can throw DOWN in the kitchen, but so can Aaron, and when your Grams finds out he made the collared greens this year, she’s hesitant at first but after one bite she’s like “honey you gotta keep him around, he put hot sauce in the greens” and you’re like 🤭 because you taught him the trick but you don’t say anything because it gets him so many more points with your family that you let him take credit 🥰

Also Aaron excusing himself from the card table to help y’all clean up in the kitchen 😘 your auntie talks about what a gentleman he is, how glad she is to see a man helping as he loads the dishwasher, but he’s only doing it because he’s barely seen you all day and he wants to be close to you 😩

I absolutely loved this. Aaron getting to know the family literally gives me butterflies

Hi, this may be a dumb ask but your Auntie Vera set brought tears to my eyes. I actually had an Auntie Vera, who was my great aunt but really she was like my nan, and seeing the set somewhat actually resemble her old bathroom really made me smile. Skywarp literally falls to pieces when it comes to babies, change my mind. She finds out Starscream is in labor in the midst of the Dweller bullshit and she shrieks at pitches that rival her little brother's (you can pry my older sister Skywarp headcanon from my cold zombified hands). Just, "You're WHA-A-T?!" followed by demands of why he didn't say anything, she's gotta get to him asap, what the frag were you thinking Starscream hiding something like that?! Ik TFE Skywarp can't warp through solid objects (not. Crazy about that choice, but whatever) but she does her damn best. She unfortunately misses the actual emergence, as does Nova, but the second she's back with Starscream she's cuffing him over the helm for being so dumb and keeping that a secret from her ("And me too!" Nova pipes up in the background). She chews him out good once they're all safe, something she hasn't done since Vos was still standing, and as much as being scolded sucks, it makes Starscream feel kinda warm inside. Like... oh. Huh. She does actually still care about me.

Going forward the seekers have a lot of work to do, relationship wise... it's pretty heavily implied that no one, not even his fellow flyers, was willing to help when or even cared that Starscream was being ao horrifically abused. Intimate trust won't come easy, but they all make an effort, and the newborn twins make great peacemakers. Starscream is exhausted in the aftermath, so Nova and Skywarp eagerly volunteer to watch over them while their carrier gets some desperately needed recharge. They're so teeny tiny, so painfully cute, and the two of them are S-tier aunties. It feels like they have an aerie again 🥰 Starscream is rather protective and strongly dislikes letting anyone else hold them at first, but the two femmes are trying. They're trying so hard, and the twins love them, so he can try to. Try to trust them, try to let his guard down, try his best to give his bitties a good life. Said life starts with letting them have a family in his sister and cousin (yes Nova Storm is their cousin on their second sire's side, younger than both of them, fight me)

So, like I already posted, I hc that Alysanne and Rhaenys were really close. Alysanne wanted her granddaughter to be ready to become queen, so she was very involved in her education and upbringing. Rhaenys took very much after her grandmother, and they were a great duo, although there were certain differences between them as well. Alysanne didn't get the name "good queen" for nothing. She could be kindhearted and soft in a way that Rhaenys never was or would be. For example, Rhaenys was interested in the small folk, but never to the same extent as her grandmother. But then again, Rhaenys grew up expecting to be queen but also understanding from very early on, that apart from a few - led by her grandmother - most people only saw her as the future mother of her father's heir. There was a different tension than there was in Alysanne (who, mind you, also went through some serious shit as a kid). Also, they simply are two different people. What they definitely shared is their head for politics, skills at diplomacy and ability to listen, and most importantly they were both highly intelligent and headstrong women.

Rhaenys's favourite uncle was Baelon. She liked him most, because he allowed her to be her wilder self. I mean, after having married Alyssa, Baelon already proved that he liked feisty women. Rhaenys cooled towards him after he became Prince of Dragonstone in her stead, and there was a long period of silence which she spent at Driftmark and he at the king's side. Like his son Viserys, Baelon, however, didn't like quarrels, especially not with his favourite niece (sorry Aemma), so they eventually reconciled to a certain extent. The relationship towards his sons was always amiable. Rhaenys wasn't very close with either, Viserys or Daemon, but they hang out and genuinely were fond for each other.

Her favourite aunt was Maegelle, because there simply was no way for someone as clever and sharp as Rhaenys to not like her intelligent aunty. Maegelle helped Rhaenys create her fancy hairstyle, she first wore it to her wedding. Maegelle as a septa was always one to counsel peace and obedience, but she had a hard time accepting and understanding why Rhaenys had been cheated of her birth right. Maegelle, along with Jocelyn and Alysanne attended Laena's birth, and she was the first family member to come and visit Laenor. Though far apart, she and Rhaenys corresponded often via letters and Rhaenys would visit her on Meleys from time to time.

Rhaenys never had much patience for Saera, but she was very sad about losing Daella, but the loss of Viserra was harder. Viserra had been closest in age to her and though their interests had been largely different, she had always enjoyed spending time with her aunt and her friends. There was an ugly fight though, when after Viserra's attempt at seducing Baelon, she was convinced that he was secretly waiting for his tough, favourite niece to finally flower. The thought upset Rhaenys, and she never spoke to Viserra again. Gael had been like a younger sister to Rhaenys, so she was positively heartbroken when Gael died. Part of her also felt guilty for not remaining more involved in Gael's life at Alysanne side, after moving to Driftmark.

The relationship with Jaehaerys was rather simple. He doted on her, like a grandfather dotes on a granddaughter, but he showed little interest in her life or education; the only times she remembered him being more invested was when she claimed Meleys and when it came to her finding her a match. Jaehaerys left that part mostly to Alysanne though. Rhaenys hardened very much towards her grandfather in her youth, when she saw him and Alysanne falling out and then the whole succession issues etc. Later, when Corlys left her alone after losing their kids, she had major flashbacks to how Jaehaerys treated his wife. I say, the reunion we saw, did not heal all the wounds this rift caused (yet - again, different people, and they're not going the same way).

Now, father and mother. Similar to Rhaenyra, Rhaenys got to witness a happy marriage between her parents, maybe not quite as loving as Aemma and Viserys, but affectionate devotion was there. Also, similar to Rhaenyra, Rhaenys bore witness to a series of miscarriages her mother had to go through. Always confident, this, and the losses her grandmother suffered, troubled Rhaenys quite a bit. Maegelle was the one she turned to, while she put up a display of strength for mother and grandmother. Jocelyn herself was not quite as tough as her daughter but managed. When she and Aemon agreed that further attempts at a pregnancy were pointless, she focused completely on her daughter and often joint her and Alysanne at court. She was also the Prince of Dragonstone's wife though, so she had certain other duties and tasks to fulfil, which she used as her own chances of teaching her daughter. Aemon wasn't very much present in Rhaenys's life, but when he could spare her some time, he made sure there was quality in there - e.g., studying High Valyrian, riding/hunting, debating on all kind of matters. He was disappointed when the first dragon ride of his daughter was not with him on Caraxes, but with Alysanne on Silverwing. But he taught her something essential about dragons and their writers (which is part of an upcoming fic of mine). Oh, and once she claimed Meleys, Baelon and Aemon challenged to two of them to a race, in the memory of Alyssa. Similar to that, Rhaenys challenged Laena and Daemon on the eve of their wedding - needless to say, Meleys never lost against Vhagar and Caraxes under both her riders.

Kamala’s scarf as part of her costume is the same one Kareem gave her (I even wrote a fic about it! I love Karmala so much 🥰)

(Speaking of Karmala, they’re definitely the couple who get married as adults to shut the aunties up, not realizing that their crushes on each other are mutual 😂 they figure that out after Nakia and Bruno take matters into their own hands and get them to confess)

All the women in Kamala’s family are connected to the bangle, but they can’t use it like her (ending of the show confirms that she has powers that her family doesn’t! But I definitely think there’s a link between the Khan matriarchs and the bangle. Muneeba definitely knew/felt what it was on sight)

Kamala and Kamran stay friends after s1. They’re doing their own things, but they’re important to each other, and they keep in touch

This is comics-canon: Tyesha is Kamala’s confidant! Especially now that Bruno is at Caltech, it’s a great time to start developing that in the MCU, once Kamala’s back on Earth. She and Nakia can both bond with Tyesha!

The Hasaisha love story is Kamala’s favorite story, ever since she was a kid! It’s been passed down in her family. Muneeba tells it best, in Kamala’s opinion (she’s a better storyteller than people might think!)

Sana remembers Kamala’s face from when Kamala led her back to Hasan as a kid, and that’s why Sana tells Kamala to go to the train station after they both see the train in the vision—she knows this is the moment her granddaughter will save her

Nakia’s Lois-Lane-type dynamic with Kamala (where she critiques Ms Marvel with no holds barred and thus makes Kamala a better hero) still happens post-s1, just like it did in the comics! The difference being, Kamala knows Nakia is saying it with love—tough love, even, which is better! Nakia wants her best friend to be the best hero she can be…and she won’t hold back in telling her how to improve.

7. A quote of them that you remember

This is a hard one because Vanessa has so many amazing moments, but I think I'll go with the two that came to mind immediately. (1) I love the moment where she tells the Queen of Witches, "You and I have no bonds." Recognizing that the Black Bulls are the family she always wanted and that she doesn't need Her Majesty's "love" to be happy is such a pivotal moment in her character development, and it honestly still gives me chills every time I watch or read it. (2) An anime addition, but I love that encouraging little speech she gives Finral before he faces Langris in the Royal Knight's Exam (I won't type out the whole thing but it ends with something like "You're not going to lose to him so easily anymore. Go show him how awesome you are--and I don't just mean the hair!"). Vanessa just has such a gift in building up her friends and encouraging them, and she believes in them even when they don't believe in themselves. I love that scene because it is a real reflection of that.

24. What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?

In general, I think a lot of what happened to her in her childhood is a big secret for Vanessa. Vanessa is the type of person who really tries to bury her pain and focus on the positive and/or on other people's problems even when she, herself, is hurting. She had told very few of her friends about her childhood in the Forest of Witches, prior to the arc that took place there, and even then, I think she only told them bits and pieces of the story.

Since she doesn't want her squad family to worry about her, she's never told them that her past still comes back to haunt her, mainly in her nightmares and fears of enclosed, crammed spaces. Though they had gotten less frequent, she does have still nightmares about her childhood and also about the events in the Forest of Witches arc/losing her friends, and when they get particularly bad, she will sleep by candlelight because she is afraid of waking up back in that cage and her tower.

30. The funniest scene they had?

Vanessa has such a great sense of humor, and I loved any time she affectionately teased her friends. There are some great moments between her, Noelle, and Asta on their first outing to the castle town of Kikka for instance, and her friendship with Magna especially has always made me laugh from their first appearance where they're poking fun at each other's vices. The scene that came to mind immediately read this prompt is also from Episode 80 in the Royal Knight's Exam (can you tell that's my one of my favorite episodes?) though. There's a moment where Magna asks if she'll do his hair too, and Vanessa teases him that there's no way. It's all in good fun, and Luck gets some great lines where he chimes in and teases Magna too. It's cute and makes me laugh every time.

7. A quote of them that you remember

Poor Altan. I've barely written about him, so he hasn't gotten to say much yet. He has appeared in some of my wips though, and there's an exchange between him and his Papa that I really like so I'll share that here:

Langris had to admit, he was happy for the temporarily distraction from poor Finesse and her failing health. His palms started to sweat again at the thought, and he began to wring his hands before Altan’s tiny fingers curled around one of them.

“Is Mama alright?” he asked.

“She’s just not feeling well,” Langris explained—trying to shake the worst-case-scenarios out of his own head.

“Should we go pick some flowers for her?” he asked with a kindness that brought a smile to Langris’ face. No words could describe how relieved he was that his son took after his gentle, kindhearted mother rather than a disagreeable misanthrope like him. The hard-lines in Langris’ face softened, and he even managed a slight smile.

24. What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?

Altan is shy, but he's not particularly secretive on purpose. If asked about himself, he will share and actually answer instead of deflecting questions and playing 3D chess, smoke and mirrors mind-games like his dad used to do. It just isn't easy for him to freely offer such information without being asked about himself since he doesn't particularly like the spotlight. He tends to be pretty open with his family and closest friends though so he doesn't have too many secrets from them.

He does have one big secret, however which is that, by the time he's in his teens, Altan actually knows a lot about what went on between his father and uncle and how strained their relationship was in the past. Finral and Langris had long ago agreed to let bygones be bygones and decided not to tell their children about how much bad blood used to exist between them. Altan, however, kind of put a lot of pieces together and knows that his father made a lot of mistakes when he was younger, especially in regards to his relationship with his brother. He doesn't ever really bring it up, however, because he knows that his father has a lot of fear that learning all of that would change the way his son saw him, and he doesn't want to open those old wounds for his dad. However, the realization doesn't change much for Altan--he has forgiven his father and thinks what is important is that his dad learned from his mistakes and tried to better going forward, and in fact, he thinks that is a very admirable thing. Someday when Altan is a grown man, his father sits him down to tell him the truth, and it is such a moving moment for Langris when Altan just smiles at him and says he has known for a long time and it doesn't change anything.

30. The funniest scene they had?

Altan gets roped into all kinds of shenanigans thanks to his much more rambunctious cousins and friends, but he himself doesn't usually cause too much trouble or chaos on his own. However, he did participate in a prank of his dad once. When Altan wanted to get his hair cut by his aunt, the extended family decided to pull a bit of a prank on him and sent Altan home wearing a wig of a ridiculously awful haircut. Langris was so relieved when it was revealed just to be a wig, and they actually got him to laugh which made Altan very happy.
