Non-UT! chars - there’s a /bunch/, no kidding - uhh part 1? just the N! AUs we got take up a lot of space...

DEMON SLAYER: mostly SLSTF/LSTF combined ‘whoops a large group of strange people fell into this world‘, with three main variations: ‘replace-Pillars’, ‘join-pillars’, ‘demons/Upper Moons’. Includes the likes of the “Centipede Pillar”/”Insect Breathing” (an alternate version), “Trap Pillar”/Mist Breathing, “Lotus/Hate Pillar”/”Lotus/Hate Breathing”, “?? Pillar”/“Waterfall Breathing”... Characters: Yasude Denji (LSTF!Alphys “Nori” - Centipede Pillar), Oda Adachi (LSTF!Undyne “Oda” - creator and only user of the WATERFALL Breathing Style), Aoi Akane (LSTF!Sans “Slugger” - HATE/Lotus Hashira), Daisuke Agawa (LSTF!Papyrus “Spike” - Trap Pillar), Shinogu Kikori/"Shōri" (SLSTF!Sans “Knout” - Solitude Pillar/Breathing?)

Naruto: huu boy. P13!Naruto-verse: (name still needed for the story, P13! is a reference to a completely different something else): A story with these major change-ups: Naruto is a year above the Rookie 9/aka Lee’s generation (and consequently doesn’t know/hasn’t really interacted with the rest of Konoha 13). Naruto is not the jinchuurinki-container for the Kyuubi/Kurama - his parents are still restricted information though, but at least he’s seen more of Kakashi and Jiraiya than canon!naruto, even if it’s distant and strained (kakashi is in no way able to step into being more than the emotionally-clearly-not-okay occasional visitor into P13!Naruto’s life). Naruto leaves Konoha (but doesn’t join another village - in actuality, he straight-up leaves through another dimension, but as literally no one knows Naruto is labelled as a missing-nin). Sasuke is the jinchuurinki of the Nine-Tails/Kurama - this changes some things but the Uchiha massacre still happens. Sai is an Uchiha (who lives with his adoptive civilian parents - Sai is not part of the Clan compound and the traditions, but he is of Uchiha blood) and never joined Root. Sakura is much less/not even a fangirl for Sasuke. Team 7 is Kiba, Sakura, and Sasuke - Team 8 is Hinata, Shino, and Sai. Sasuke is friendlier and more open and has actual friends - Shikamaru, Sai, Shino, and eventually the rest of Team 7 as well. Story is focused on Sasuke instead of Naruto. Characters: Naruto (pre-Departure), Sasuke (currently pre-Chunnin Exams), Sai Sumitobu (same age as Sasuke)

Papillion Arbor: story focused on Shinrai Aburame, who is an older Aburame cousin who gradually recovered meta-knowledge memories but fully considers himself to be Shinrai, Aburame in clan and spirit. Probably set a few years earlier than Naruto-era; we’ll have to see because this one’s plot is completely unformed right now. Characters: Shinrai (chunnin-times? 26-going-on-14 years old) (title needed): Asaha Fukushima, an orphaned civilian-born boy who takes care of/adopts another younger civilian boy while trying to keep everything he cares about safe - “titled” the “second coming of the Copy-ninja” because of how quickly he picks up skills - unreally fast learner. Nearly-sensor -like extrasensory touch - a little like Inosuke’s? - plus having some Nara blood from his grandfather - water element. Naruto still in Academy era. Characters: Asaha Fukushima (chunnin-time, currently Kakashi’s apprentice and not immediately tied to a plot arc - 27-going-on-14 years old), Hachi Asahi (Asaha’s ward/adoptive younger brother, Academy-age 11 years old)

(title needed, probably a name that somehow references “spring”): A story focusing on Monshō Kandō, the adopted-but-also-blood child of Rock Lee - set in the “blank period”/after The Last. Slice-of-life theoretical-fic, mostly about friends and friendship. Monshō Kandō, in addition to the other half of their name (Monshō Kandō has a very long name on legal documents), they also are known by Kawasemi, King Catcher, and Utsukushī (literally: beautiful), the name that Lee gave them before he discovered the actual name they were born with. Characters: Kawasemi, who is currently in Suna (Kawasemi is a Title like Shikabane-hime is a Title for Silver Queen’s Shikako Nara - used frequently but not actually their name) - technically should be called Utsukushī Lee. Chunnin-time - 18-going-on-16 years old.

TEAM APOTHEOSIS: Asaha, Kawasemi, and Myōjōsen (the main character Aburame from another story - the main thing to know about her is that she’s pretty feral and has centipedes integrated in her body in ways the Aburame have never seen before and speaks like an Inuzuka) find themselves in the Dead Wastes (yes this is really where Silver Queen’s DoS!Stones of Gelel arc culminates - keeping the location but not actually involving the Stones of Gelel), and decide to ‘might as well’ do whatever while they’re here - Gaara suddenly gets three baffling but affectionate missing-nin-guardian-friends? Characters: Baki (what am I thinking, how can I write him?? Maybe later), Gaara (not refined enough for this yet, but maybe in the future), Kawasemi (jonin-rank) 20 years old, Asaha (jonin-rank) 20 years old, Myōjōsen (jonin-rank) 21 years old.

(title?): Asaha is reborn (again) this time as Shikimizu Nara, older cousin to Shikamaru, and this time his story revolves around being the bestest friend to/for Shino, original plot outside of the Rookies, and becoming Kakashi’s apprentice - Shikamizu gains the battle name of the “Shallow Balance” - they use ninja-wire to string their environment to run on the taut threads. Characters: Shikamizu Nara (currently Academy-days - 24-going-on-11 years old)

The Amber Firefly - Shino suddenly finds himself in the Senju-Uchiha War and is taken in as an obvious Aburame by the Aburame Clan of the era as a Prophet - that’s all the premise i’ve got for the moment but this un’s a real idea. Shino’s slightly different from canon, but we’ll get to that later. Characters: Shino (神託/Shintaku-sama/Prophet) - The Last when he was actually back where he was supposed to be - 18-going-on-14 years old.

Sunea to Kensei no Sanshō̄o (Snares and Feints of the Salamander): story follows Gekkeiju Hikōkai (English: Hikōkai Gekkeiju) once they meet Naruto while on ANBU jinchuurinki-watching duty - haven’t written a plot yet but it probably focuses on being ANBU/jounin and interactions like that. Characters: Hikōkai (currently ANBU Sanshō̄o - what this means is after they have been taken off Naruto-watching duty in which they were ANBU Kōjaku) - 25-going-on-23 years old

Yorumungando Kōtei no Gekkō Sunea (Snares of the Great Jormungandr's Moonbeam): Remixed Snares and Feints! - Hikōkai is now Itachi, but with a twist - Fugaku and Mikoto are moved generations up so they’re in the Minato-Jounin Era. Hikōkai renames himself/themself as just Kōkai, or Tsukiakari. Kōkai now adapts and considers himself male, and also is struggling to act as Itachi-like as possible while being scrutinized from all sides. Kōkai‘s best friends are Shisui and Ensui Nara. Luckily tensions haven’t risen so high that Kōkai needs to immediately worry about the Massacre, but that’s still probably in the cards with how the tensions were slowly rising. Characters: Tsukiakari/Kōkai Uchiha (genin-times, ??-sensei need to develop later) - 25-going-on-24-going-on-11 years old (yeah...)

Adiantum Raddianum (the scientific name for the maidenhair fern): First take on the is-Sasuke/Uchiha-after-the-massacre trend: Makano “Mako” Uchiha is a non-native-speaking former recreational wilderness survivor who upon waking up in class as Makano, starts living life like in a dazed dream - Makano doesn’t understand the native language and doesn’t care enough to devote themselves to learning more than a little; Mako ends up learning four phrases/words by the time they meet their genin team. “See" (ウォッチ/U~otchi, used for many things in half negative, sarcastic, and faintly approving manner), "tonbo" (dragonfly, for virtually anything Maka approves of. People haven't quite figured out what this means yet, because Dragonfly is patently unhelpful when describing food or generally anything in particular), Kekkōdesu (no thanks. a pretty helpful thing to learn even when it also gets mistaken for things and causes misunderstandings), and hai, which is one of the earliest and easiest things that Mako learned while listening to people talk. Makano is placed onto Team 3, under Gekkō Hayate. Story mostly focuses on Team 3′s missions and some betweens - Makano is older than Sasuke and also doesn’t bother trying to mingle with the Rookies beyond being around Shino and Shikamaru. Characters: Makano (genin-days) - 22-going-on-9 years old

(title needed): second attempt at is-Sasuke/other Uchiha massacre survivor: Mitorori Uchiha. Mitorori... doesn’t believe that this is real. As in, directly inspired by Julyflame’s Come From the Holy Fire, Mitorori believes this is a dream - in turn, he uses this “dreamspace” to release stress from his work/life - Mitorori is even more aggressive and irreverent than in his real life. Cue aggressive Uchiha punkish boy shoving himself into matters that don’t concern him. Characters: Mitorori (Academy days - 10 years old)

Hanabira Sasuke: Third attempt at is-Sasuke/other Uchiha massacre survivor: “Shikichi” (Threshhold) Sasuke Uchiha started off waking up in Iruka’s classroom as Sasuke. Story currently only has plot for Academy days - Shikamaru and eventually the rest of the Rookies start to pick up that Sasuke’s... acting off, they nonverbally start accommodating and bonding around him - Sasuke Protection Squad! Shikichi calls himself that internally because it’s one of the first words he learned to read in Japanese - of course he’s sort of aware that he can’t actually start calling himself that because he has a “real” name - but eventually this’ll probably get discovered by Shikamaru and he’ll go by both. Characters: Shikamaru (Academy - 7 years old), “Sasuke” (Academy - 20-going-on-7 years old)

Yabusame 3 et parc

En quittant le sanctuaire, je traverse l'université Waseda, plein d'étudiants bruyants et stylés.

Hiro m'avait conseillé un petit parc japonais traditionnel et effectivement, le Hosokawa koen est un vrai bijou, un havre de paix.

Il y a un petit étang avec un pont et c'est à ce moment-là que trois japonaises en kimono traversent le pont... 👘👘👘

Un peu plus loin, un couple regarde fixement un arbre penché au-dessus de l'eau et là je vois un martin-pêcheur qui plonge coup sur coup et rapporte un petit poisson argenté frétillant ! Quelle chance d'avoir pu voir ça ! Je demande le nom de l'oiseau au couple et ils me répondent que c'est un Kawasemi. 🐦

Je connais déjà quelques noms d'oiseaux en japonais : kawasemi, tsubame (hirondelle), tsuru (grue), kamo (canard)... kuso くそ 😉

Retour je prends l'un des deux derniers vieux tramway de Tokyo qui prend 1h mais qui est tellement typique et charmant. Beaucoup d'enfants qui reviennent du sport, il n'y a que des Japonais. Les sièges sont des banquettes qui se font face et un petit garçon de 2 ans et sa maman montent. Et le petit garçon s'accroupit sans que je comprenne pourquoi. En fait, il enlève ses chaussures et monte sur la banquette ! Comme tout bon japonais, on ne met pas ses chaussures sur la banquette ou à l'intérieur de la maison. La maman lui remet les chaussures avant de sortir. Cela me fait penser au drama coréen "Rooftop prince", scène hilarante, comprenne qui pourra ! 😃😂😄👞👞👞👞

Une vieille dame s'assoit à côté de moi en me faisant un sourire en me disant bonjour, et en partant, elle me dit au revoir en me faisant un sourire...

Episode 5, The Case of the Hand Collector Killer

For the joint investigation of serial murder cases, eagle-eye Kawasemi Omito comes to the Tokyo First Investigative Division. Amamiya, who is Kawasemi’s rival and earlier colleague, dares to lend the “useless” Toto, but Kawasemi already treats him as if he doesn’t exist after pointing out that Toto “has zero talent.” Ron, who appeared as a consultant at the scene upon the discovery of a new body, proves to Kawasemi that he’s wrong about Toto.

The Fishing is Fine in Kawasemi-san no Tsurigohan Manga PVs

The third volume of Kawasemi-san no Tsurigohan ("Ms. Kawasemi's Fishing Meals"), a gourmet fishing manga by Kiyomasa Masanoshita about an unlikely pair of high school girls who bond over fishing and cooking, has just been released in Japan, and to celebrate Futabasha has published a pair of short preview videos featuring the voice talents of Aya Uchida and Mariya Ise.

In the videos, Aya Uchida provides the voice for Kawasemi Yamanashi, while Mariya Ise provides the voice for Masago Uotori. The videos come in both "sexy" and "horror" versions.

Kawasemi-san no Tsurigohan is serialized in Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine. The story of the series follows Kawasemi, a shy high school student who has recently transferred to a new school in the countryside, and Masago, a local girl who looks like a rural delinquent. One day Masago drags Kawasemi out into the wilderness on what turns out to be a fishing trip, and the "outdoor life" story about a girl who loves fishing and a girl who loves to cook begins.

Birthday Kisses {Kawasemi}

Happy birthday, Semi!!

Relationship: Kawanishi Taichi/Semi Eita Word Count: 1.3K Summary: Kawanishi really loves Semi and so does the rest of the team (that’s basically is; pure fluff)

Semi woke up to two dark brown eyes looking down at him. He snickered, swiftly grabbing his pillow from under his head and stuffing it in his boyfriend’s face.

Kawanishi chuckled and caught the pillow, throwing it aside.

“Good morning,” Semi said, sitting up. Kawanishi smiled, tired eyes flickering back at Semi’s. He cups his cheeks in his hands and placed a soft kiss to Semi’s lips.

“Happy birthday, babe,” he muttered, once they break apart. He places his forehead to Semi’s and Semi smiled, eyes closed.

“Thanks, Taichi,” he puts his hands over Kawanishi’s and relishes in the quiet moment between him and his boyfriend. (No, he told himself, it’s your birthday…don’t think about how these moments are fleeting.)

“I would make you a cake,” Kawanishi told him, as Semi moved around so his head is against Kawanishi’s chest, snuggled up to Kawanishi’s warmer body. “But we both know how bad I am in the kitchen.”

Semi snorted out a laugh, his tongue sticking out slightly between his teeth, “yeah, you and Kenjirou need to stay out of the kitchen forever…”

Kawanishi threaded his long fingers between Semi’s ash blonde hair and kisses the top of his head.

“Do we have to go to class?” Semi asked, even though he knows the answer. Kawanishi rolls his eyes.

“Unfortunately.”

“I wish we could have our own apartment…” Semi muses, voice still sticky with sleep, “we could watch movies all day…”

“Maybe one day,” Kawanishi whispered. He hopes Semi didn’t hear it, but he’s sure he did. He thinks back to a time when he believed loving someone like he loves his Eita was impossible.

“What time is it?” Semi asked, craning his neck to look at the illuminated alarm clock that sat on his nightstand. The red numbers flash a 6:21 at him and he sighed. His eyes traveled over to the window, a warm glow of sunlight streamed through the room, making him feel drowsy all over again. He pawed at his eyes with his fists and let out a stifled yawn.

“Cute,” Kawanishi muttered and Semi glared at him. Kawanishi laughed, he loves the pouty face Eita gives when he calls him “cute.”

“I guess we gotta go to breakfast soon,” Semi muttered, climbing out of Kawanishi’s lap. Kawanishi repositions himself on his boyfriend’s bed, eyes tracking Semi wandering towards his drawer.

Semi pulled on his SHIRATORIZAWA sweatpants and a light purple hoodie that Kawanishi’s ear perk up in memory at.

“Hey,” he commented, lazily, “isn’t that my hoodie?”

“No,” Semi retorts, indignantly, “it’s mine.”

“I’m pretty sure it’s mine,” Kawanishi replied.

“Hey,” Semi shrugged, hands stuffed into the pocket, “you gave it to me on our first day. Therefore, it is no longer yours.” Kawanishi’s lips tug upwards at the memory of their first date.

“You’re right,” he told him. “Only cuz it’s your birthday,” Semi smirked at him. Kawanishi rolled off the bed and laces his hands into Semi’s. Semi smiled at him and they walk out and towards the dining hall.

“EITA-KUN!” Tendou’s loud voice greets the pair as they walked in. Tendou was standing up, hands pressed against the table and eyes wide. “Happy birthday, Semisemi!” Semi laughed.

“Thanks, Satori,” he replied.

“Ah,” Ushijima said. He had been sitting, quietly, next to Tendou. “Happy birthday, Eita.”

“Birth,” Shirabu comments, across from Tendou. Semi flicked Shirabu’s forehead.

“Brat,” Semi told him but he’s smiling when he said it and Shirabu pretended to be annoyed but Kawanishi knew his best friend well enough to know he wasn’t.

They slid into the two seats next to Shirabu and waited for the rest of the team to come in, each wishing Semi a happy birthday.

Kawanishi watched, in admiration, as Semi laughed and smiled with the team. He felt like his eyes could be literal hearts whenever he stared at the gorgeous boy. Sometimes, Semi’s eyes catch his and a small tint of red crosses his cheeks and he smiles back at Kawanishi. It’s little moments like those that the boys treasured most.

“…I’m just saying,” Semi said to Kawanishi. They were walking hand-in-hand to the gym for afternoon practice. “it’s fine if Tendou wants to watch anime at 2am but can’t he use headphones?”

Kawanishi snorted at that, pushing the doors open. Confetti and balloons greet them, rendering Semi speechless at the sight. Streamers of every color dangle from the high ceilings and each of their teammates were wearing a pointy, cone-shaped hat. Semi’s eyes widened and Kawanishi was sure he sees a tear or two well up.

“W-what?” is the only word that slipped out of his lips. Kawanishi pressed a kiss to Semi’s cheek.

“Happy birthday,” he said, with his usual even tone and lazy smile. Tendou is the first to pounce on him, throwing his long arms over Semi’s shoulders and blowing a noise-maker that shrills out a SCWEEEEE.

“You guys…” Semi breathed, a laugh ripping through his words. He stumbled forward and Yamagata threw a pink hat at him that read BIRTHDAY BOY in big, sparkly letters.

“Put it on,” he called and Semi rolled his eyes (but couldn’t wipe the shocked smile off his lips) and placed it over his head.

“Happy birthday, Semi-san!” Goshiki shouted, waving over from the table in the center of the gym. It was covered in a blue paper tablecloth and littered with presents. On the table is a big cake.

“Sorry it’s store-bought,” Reon told him with a happy grin. “None of us can bake like you can, Eita. Happy birthday.”

“Thanks, Reon,” Semi murmured, earnestly.

“I suggested vodka,” Tendou whispered him, gesturing to the juice pouches next to the cake, “but that idea was shot down, can you believe that?”

Semi hit the top of Tendou’s head, lightly, “don’t say that in front of Tsutomu!”

“Semi being a mom again,” Shirabu commented and the atmosphere in the room was light and happy. Kawanishi walked towards Shirabu and folded his arms across his chest, watching Semi laugh and thank everyone.

“You’re so sappy,” Shirabu told him. “Yeah, well,” Kawanishi replied, tiredly but happily, “I am crazy for him.”

“Gross,” Shirabu answered, but he kicked Kawanishi lightly in the shin and headed towards the mass of teammates to join in.

“Did you really plan all of that for me?” Semi asked. They were tucked into Kawanishi’s bed. It was too small for the two of them but they squeezed together and found it rather comfortable. Kawanishi was twirling his finger through the gray curls that crawl towards the nape of Semi’s neck.

“Well, it was my idea but Satori and Ushiwaka did most of the actual planning. Also, Hayato and Reon were in charge of making sure Tsutomu didn’t let it slip out. You know how he is with secrets. Even Kenjirou pitched in and picked up the cake with Satori but…yeah. We all wanted you to have a good birthday. I mean, you always make a cake for us on our birthdays.”

Semi smiled tiredly. The only light in the room was coming from the moon that shined outside Kawanishi’s dorm. “You guys are sweet. You’re sweet.”

“Yeah, well,” Kawanishi shrugged and Semi could feel his shoulders moving under him.

“I’ll miss you…when I’m, y’know…” Kawanishi knew. He couldn’t not know. Graduation was like a looming shadow, haunting them.

“It’s okay,” Kawanishi muttered, “I know you’ll wait for me.”

“I will,” Semi promised. The soft fabric of Kawanishi’s shirt is curled in Semi’s fist.

Kawanishi smirks, “Cute.”

Semi huffed at him but, secretly, he knows he’ll miss being called ‘cute.’

“Happy birthday, Eita,” Kawanishi said, voice growing lower with the sleep that’s overtaking him. Semi smiled.

“Thank you for everything, Taichi…I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Semi pressed one last smiling kiss to his boyfriend’s rosy lips before throwing the covers over them and falling asleep.

Well hello there! I wasn’t expecting a request but hey why not!

25- “ I’m sick. ”

“Where is he?” Semi wondered as he looked at his phone clock, reading that Kawanishi is half an hour late for their date. “Did he forget?”

[Text sent to Taichi❤]: Where are you?? Your thirty minutes late :(

The blond sighed as he set his phone down while he waited for a response. He could feel people starring at him in the restaurant they had planned to eat at that evening. The sympathetic stares of someone’s date not showing up and oh how annoying they were!

Semi wanted to turn to them and tell them to stop burning a hole in the back of his head because his date was coming. He was just…running late that’s all. Yeah, Kawanishi wasn’t the type of guy to stand Semi up. He would call if something had come up.

…Right?

At the forty-five minute mark, the stares didn’t let up and he believe he heard mumbling about how he was stood up by his date and how they felt sorry for him. A group of guys that sat in front of Semi even were talking about sending one of them to sit with the blond so the sympathetic stares would stop and maybe even hook up with him.

Oh hell no! That wasn’t happening!

[Text sent to Taichi❤]: Taichi where are you!

No response. What the hell is going on? Semi had already tried to call Kawanishi twice and no answer both times. Third time is a charm! Pulling up his boyfriend’s number, Semi pressed call.

It rang.

And rang.

“Hey this is Kawanishi Taichi, sorry I couldn’t pick up the phone-”

“Damn it.” Semi sighed as he hung up.

“Hey there cutie!” Oh great, here we go with someone trying to pick him up. “Looks like your date stood you up. Come on and hang out with us.”

“I’m good. I still have faith in my boyfriend.” Semi stressed the boyfriend part.

“Well clearly he isn’t a show. Come on, we’ll treat you to a nice meal and some drinks.” One of the guys, who Semi guessed is the leader, suggested.

“No.”

“Okay, how about this. If he is a no show in fifteen minutes, come join us.” Wow this guy must not know what the meaning of no is.

“For the last time, I said no!”

“Start the clock boys! Fifteen minutes on the clock!” Semi groaned as he facepalmed and stuck deeper into the seat while pulling up the message app.

[Text sent to Satori 🦎 ]: Satori do you know where Taichi is?! He’s almost an hour late to our date and there’s a group of guys harassing me to join them in Taichi’s place!

“Time’s a ticking cutie! What kind of drink do you like?”

“Fuck off.” The group went crazy as Tendou responded.

[Text received to Semi Eita]: TAICHI’S LATE Σ(°ロ°) That isn’t like him! No I haven’t, SemiSemi. Try and call Shirabu! They are roommates (°▽°)/

“Five minutes! Do you like Sex on the Beach?” Semi didn’t answer as he called Shirabu, praying he would answer.

“Hello?” Semi let a sigh of relief out when he heard Shirabu’s voice on the other line.

“Shirabu where is Taichi? He’s late for our date and there’s a group of guys-”

“Oh shit that was tonight?!” Shirabu cut the blond off. “Oh no.”

“Oh no what?”

“Hang on.”

“Shirabu…” Semi groaned as he heard the former setter make his way somewhere.

“We’ll let you finish your phone call and then we’ll start the party!” The leader announced, Semi didn’t even bother looking at them.

“Oi Taichi. Wake up!” Semi heard Shirabu call out. “Semi-san is on the phone.”

“Wha? Eita?” He heard the phone being handed to his boyfriend.

“Babe?” Wow he actually sounded terrible.

“Taichi are you alright? You don’t sound good?”

“I’m sick. I woke up like this, this morning. Am I forgetting something?” Kawanishi asked, Semi could tell he’s tried and his nose was stuffy.

“Taichi we have a date tonight.”

Semi didn’t hear Kawanishi respond for a minute before the former middle blocker said, “Shit. Babe I am so sorry I forgot.”

“How are you feeling?”

“Like shit.” Kawanishi responded as Semi stood up.

“I’m coming by and taking care of you. I’ll see you in a bit.”

“Alright. Love you.”

“Love you too.” Semi hung up and started to walk away, but was suddenly stopped and a force around his waist.

“Alright let’s start this party!” The leader announced as the group cheered.

“Um no. I’m going to go take care of my BOYFRIEND who is sick in bed. Let me go now!” Semi hissed as he tried to push the leader away.

“Ah you’re no fun! Come join us, have a few drinks and-” Semi grabbed a glass of water and poured it on the leader’s head. The group gasped and the leader froze, but his grip around Semi loosen. The blond smirked and walked away, leaving the stunned group behind.

Kawanishi had no idea how long it had been since he last talked to Semi, he had fallen asleep after he hung up. The next thing he knew, the former middle blocker felt someone rubbing his shoulders.

“Wha?”

“Hey I came as fast as possible.” Semi whispered as he kissed his boyfriend’s cheek, feeling how warm his cheeks are. “Is your phone dead?”

“No. Why?”

“I called and texted you.” Semi explained as Kawanishi reached over to his phone and saw the miscalls and text messages from his boyfriend.

“I must have not heard it. I’m sorry. I really am. I ruined the date night.”

“You got sick, there’s nothing you can do about that.” Semi responded as he rubbed Kawanishi‘s arm.

“I swear I’ll make it up to you.”

“Hey don’t worry about it. This’ll be out date, just cuddling.”

“Sounds good to me.” Kawanishi responded as he turned around and snuggled against Semi. “I love you.”

“I love you too. Go to sleep.”

That didn’t take long and Semi just chuckled, running his fingers through his boyfriend’s ginger hair.

New Year’s Resolutions

Rating: T for mild language

Pairing: Shirabu Kenjirou/Ushijima Wakatoshi

Fandom: Haikyuu!!

It’s quiet inside the house, well, not entirely quiet considering that the seven of them were gathered around the living room of the Shirabu household, warm mugs of hot chocolate in their hands (courtesy of Shirabu’s mother, Shirabu Tomoyo) and all of them gathered together, simply talking and relaxing from their time of paying respects at the shrine.

“I don’t know about you guys,” Yamagata says, addressing the whole group from his place beside Reon at the foot of the couch, “but I’m honestly wondering how someone as sweet as Shirabu’s mom could have a son so salty.”

Everyone chuckled at that, except of course the Shirabu himself, who was seated on the couch with Ushijima. Shirabu was sitting sideways, legs placed over Ushijima’s lap, Shirabu himself supported slightly by Ushijima’s arm around him.

Shirabu frowned at the quip, before Ushijima coaxed him with the arm that was around him to snuggle a little bit closer. Shirabu quickly corrected the issue by leaning his head closer to Ushijima’s shoulder, while the latter gave his boyfriend a peck on the forehead, breathing in the sweet scent deeply, before laying his head over Shirabu’s.

Tendou made a disgusted sound. “You should take back your words, Yamagata, because that is the most sickeningly sweet thing I’ve seen yet, and my favorite food is chocolate ice cream.”

Kawanishi snorted from somewhere near Semi’s thighs where his head was resting. “Yeah suuuure. Pot meet kettle. I mean, I’m not the one where Semi’s head is resting.”

Sure enough, Kawanishi, Semi and Tendou were all put on a cuddle pile. Or well, as close to a cuddle pile that Semi would allow, at least, with Tendou leaning on the side of the wall, Semi’s head on his lap, while said boy laid sideways so he could face the whole group, and Kawanishi laying his head on Semi’s thighs.

“I would appreciate if you guys would kindly leave me out of this.” Semi scowled, obviously not pleased with the idea of being a part of whatever the next (un)planned shenanigan was gonna be.

“Well, Kawanishi isn’t wrong there, Semi. A cuddle pile is kind of sweet compared to what happened at the do-”

Shirabu scrunched up his nose from his perch. “I honestly don’t want to hear Semi’s sex life on New Year’s Day, thank you very much, Ohira-senpai.”

Ohira chuckled, raising his hands up in mock surrender. “I’m just saying, Shirabu.”

“Yeah, no need to shame threesomes, Shira-chan~!” Tendou sing-songed in an imitation of Oikawa Tooru’s voice.

“That was a pretty good impersonation of Oikawa, Tendou.” Ushijima suddenly spoke up, and despite the comfort the deep rumble of Wakatoshi’s voice gave Shirabu, the words themselves were another story.

He gave a warning growl. “I’m not shaming threesomes, Tendou-senpai, I’m just saying I don’t want to hear Semi-san’s sex life.”

“Oh god, please leave my sex life alone, you piece of salt. There are children here.”

Just as Semi mentioned the word children, Goshiki popped out of the kitchen, bringing in with him a whole tray full of gingerbread cookies, courtesy of, once again, Shirabu’s doting mother.

“Hey, guys, Shirabu-san told me to get you guys to eat something so she told me to bring these gingerbread cookies. They’re really good, by the way.”

He went to each of his senpai, holding the tray himself as it was too hot and he was the only one wearing oven mitts at the time. The upperclassmen all took a piece, thanking him as he went along. Once everyone had a piece, he placed the tray on the living room table, grabbed a gingerbread for himself and plopping himself down on the loveseat.

“Shirabu-san really makes the most delicious sweets!” Goshiki exclaimed, after having a bite or two of the gingerbread, looking at the pastry like it was a treasure of the world.

Yamagata laughed, raising his gingerbread cookie in the air, “cheers to that, Goshiki. To Shirabu Tomoyo-san’s baking skills, long may they live!”

Tendou shrugged and raised his own mug of hot chocolate. “Amen. Now if only Shirabu could learn to make pastries as sweet as his mother.”

Shirabu rolled his eyes and groaned into Ushijima’s chest. Ushijima raised a brow at his boyfriend’s actions. Shrugging slightly, he adjusted Shirabu to a more comfortable position before turning to talk to Tendou.

“Actually, Kenjirou can make a delicious batch of chocolate chip cookies. Though he tells me they’re not as perfect as he’d like, I believe them to be quite good.”

“Oh my god, you didn’t have to tell them about that!” Shirabu hissed, a small blush forming on his face as he continued to burrow further into Ushijima’s chest.

“Ohoho, what’s this? Our little salt can bake? This I have got to see.”

Semi rolled his eyes, flicking Tendou’s nose (or as much as he could try to anyway, considering his position) and said, “Much as I don’t want to be poisoned, I honestly want to taste your baking too, Shirabu… or just to see if it’s as good as your mom’s at least.”

“Same here.” Ohira added. Goshiki and Yamagata nodded enthusiastically from where they were seated, while Kawanishi gave a thumbs up, too lazy to say anything else.

Shirabu bit his lip thoughtfully. He looked at his teammates’ expectant faces and shrugged. “I guess…”

“Then that’s settled!” Tendou announced, with a clap, turning everyone’s attention to him. “Shirabu’s new year’s resolution is to bake us cookies. Therefore, mine is to be of completely supportive of Shira-chan and Wakatoshi’s relationship.”

Semi snorted. “Isn’t it a little late to make New Year’s resolutions… and haven’t you been supportive of their relationship from the start?”

“Okay correction: from now on, I’ll be more supportive of their relationship-“

“More so than usual?”

“-and I’ll continue to call my beautiful boyfriend, Semisemi.”

Semi groaned. “Jfc, I told you to cut with the Semisemi crap.”

“What about me, Tendou? I thought we were all in this together?” Kawanishi joked, his laugh vibrating through Semi’s thighs.

“Well, if we’re making New Year’s resolutions, mine is to become a better ace than Ushijima-senpai!”

Shirabu shook his head. “You’ve got a long way to go then.” Ushijima patted his boyfriend on the head and turned to Goshiki. “I sincerely wish you the best of luck.”

Goshiki glowed at the comment. Yamagata downed the last contents of his mug before announcing his New Year’s resolution. “Well, my New Year’s resolution is to remember where I always keep my phone.”

Ohira laughed at that, “you always forget it at the library, I believe. How many times has the librarian talked your ear off about it?”

Yamagata shrugged. “Eh, I lost count after the 6th? 8th? 9th time? Not sure? What about you, Reon?”

“Most likely get into a good college at least. Gotta help my old man at some point.”

“That’s a very practical way of thought, Ohira, I commend you on that.”

“Thanks, Ushijima. What about you? I mean, obviously a number of college scouts have already contacted you about joining their volleyball team, have you already thought about any of it?”

Ushijima was quiet for a moment, turning to look at Shirabu, who was eyeing him expectantly.

“Yes,” he breathes, turning away from Shirabu’s intense gaze to look at Reon. “I’ve thought about it, and will hopefully receive a reply from them soon.” He feels Shirabu’s hand on his, delicately sandwiching Ushijima;s free hand between his.

“They’ll take you in; I have no doubt about that.”

Ushijima took one of the hands that was sandwiching his and squeezed it tightly, lifting it close to his lips and kissing the fingers before intertwining his and Shirabu’s fingers together. He looked at their entwined hands for a little bit longer, then looked up to meet Shirabu’s brown-gray eyes.

“Yes.”

So um, this is my submission for ushishira week, Day 1: New Year/Intense Force and I hope you enjoyed it. Let’s all do our best for ushishira week, yeah?

Honestly, this is more of a relationship dynamics fic involving the members of Shiratorizawa, with the spotlight mostly on ushishira so *shrugs*

Also, in case you were wondering, yes, I ship KawaSemiTen, TenSemi and KawaSemi; and Yamagata’s current concern is that he keeps forgetting where he placed his phone. (Same Yamagata, except with my umbrella). Also, cuddle piles. I believe that Shiratorizawa will always have cuddle piles. CUDDLE PILES.

Also, I don’t know man, but I’m kind of wondering why no one addresses Ushijima’s ability to be scouted by college recruiters, I mean, considering that he’s: 1) was part of Japan’s national team in the under 19 category??; 2) one of top 3 best players in the country; and 3) is on his way to college, I’m kind of surprised why no one talks about it or at least mention it in passing. A number of college recruiters should already be vying for his attention, at least. Or maybe I just missed that part *shrugs again*
