slightly inspired by my friend and their partner, i didn't know it was possible for two people to be so in love :') here's just...dk being sappy. sappy dk.
gender neutral reader. warnings: bonus pov?
dokyeom swears you're like a portable human charger.
when he's away, whether it's because he's still in practice or because he's on tour or even when he's at his parents' place, a single phone call from you is enough to lift his spirits to get him through the rest of the day. weekends spent at each other's places together are almost enough to convince him to just become an apartment hermit.
it's been true for ages — and it's true again, tonight.
or it will be, if you'll stop talking to one kim mingyu.
dokyeom's getting antsier the longer you stand there talking to mingyu, nodding along to something he's telling you. can't it wait till tomorrow? doesn't mingyu see he's in dire need of recharging?
now he knows mingyu's not telepathic, but somehow the younger man realizes dokyeom's staring at the two of you, so he finishes whatever he's saying with a nod towards where dokyeom's sitting. you follow his gaze and smile when you see dokyeom, who swears his heart melts a little, right there.
but then you stop to greet joshua, chatting with him for a minute (a whole minute, in this economy?) before you're standing right next to dokyeom.
he stretches his arms out to you. you bend down, letting him wrap himself around you the best he can. it's good, but it's not enough. he lets go only to tug at your hand. "sit down."
you look around. "there's no place, kyeomie. i don't mind standing."
he frowns at you. "i mind. you can sit in my lap."
you give him a look. "in front of your friends? i'd rather not."
dokyeom pouts. "they're your friends, too."
"of course i know that, baby. but they don't ever stop teasing us, do they?"
"ugh. they'll make fun of me, not you. please?"
you run a hand through his hair. "i don't want them to make fun of you, either."
he huffs. "fine. c'mere," he mumbles, scooting to give you some more space. you go willingly this time, settling yourself into the minimal space next to him. it's not easy when there's already thirteen of them in a room, but he manages to nudge chan away to give you some more space.
"hi," you whisper, letting him throw his hand around your shoulder to pull you closer. "missed you today."
dokyeom pulls back to look at you. he feels almost shy to have all your attention on him, silly as it sounds. "just today?" he asks, grinning when you roll your eyes. "you got here safely?"
you nod, leaning up to press a kiss to his nose. "perfectly. there was way lesser traffic than i expected."
"good."
you snuggle into dokyeom's side, stretching your legs out next to his. this is always his favourite place to be — because he can have your words be all for his ears only.
but then he frowns when he sees your outfit — a shirt and a pair of shorts. he takes off his jacket and drapes it across your legs despite your protests.
"you should've worn something warmer," he frowns. you're never good with the cold, and you're not going to be comfortable with the way more than half the members need the air conditioning to be switched on at all times.
"i was almost ready to go to bed, kyeomie," you explain, adjusting the jacket on yourself nonetheless. "i wouldn't be here if shua didn't call me. thank you, though. how was your day?"
dokyeom sighs. he doesn't want to talk about his day when he's been living through it for the entirety of...well, the day, but he has to say something for you. "not...the best," he concedes, resting his head on your shoulder.
"do you want to go home soon?" you ask, your hand finding his, tracing random patterns on his skin. the tingles help ground him.
he shrugs. "i don't know."
it's true, as much as he hates it. he doesn't want to leave because it'll end up breaking up the party — it always so happens that the first person to leave is the catalyst for most others to start wrapping things up, unwittingly. he doesn't want to be a party pooper, but at the same time, he's had a long day. it's like he's been aware of every single second he's been awake, and it's exhausting.
"okay," you say simply. "let's stay for a while more. it's not like we're in a rush. and i know how hard you worked today."
dokyeom closes his eyes at that. he knows he's done well, today being one of those days where he's genuinely looking for the end, but hearing it from you makes it much better. "yeah?"
"yeah," you affirm, hand rising to comb gently through his hair again, left open now that he's discarded his beanie. "i love you, kyeom. so much. it's still hard to put it into words sometimes."
he snuggles a bit more into you at that, slightly satisfied when seungkwan chucks a piece of popcorn at him from the bed, telling you both to stop being so cheesy. he feels even better when you throw it back at seungkwan, letting out a triumphant ha! when it hits him on the knee.
he loves you.
there's no bottom to that endless truth. he's somewhat loved you ever since he first saw you, drawn to the way your sense of humour was so close to his, and the somewhat turned into a definitely the more he got to know you.
dokyeom isn't half of anything — he's all of himself, lee seokmin, content with the way he is except for a few gripes here and there, but you complete him in a way he didn't know any person could.
he's not worried about you leaving him — there's no way either of you are letting that happen. it's more about not knowing who he is without you, now that your lives are so intertwined.
"stop," you mumble, your grip on his hair tightening slightly.
"stop what?"
"thinking. about whatever you are. i told you i love you and i'm not going anywhere."
the haze he's in almost clears a bit at that. "how did you— i didn't—"
"you always get so pensive when you're tired, did you know? i should record you some time. it's like there's a philosopher hidden inside you."
pensive? when he's tired?
"i love you normally," he blurts out, scared at the insinuation that he thinks about how much you mean to him only when he's vulnerable like this.
you're not saying anything back, though. you're just smiling at him.
"what," he asks, breaths a bit shallow.
"i know," you press, hand lifting his to show the ring that sits on his fourth finger. "i love you normally, too."
dokyeom lets out a chuckle. he still can't believe it's possible to love someone this much.
"now let me get you home and help you get some sleep, okay?" you ask, punctuating your question with a tug to his chin. "the others will understand."
as if you have to ask him. he'll go wherever you take him, no questions asked.
joshua can see the change in dokyeom's eyes the moment you walk into the room.
the conversation doesn't stop; mingyu and jun are still arguing about how mingyu should stop taking inspiration from jeonghan when it comes to board games and cheating. jeonghan has a proud smile on his face. wonwoo and minghao have zoned out entirely, too busy with their phones to acknowledge the little fight going on. the others are busy eating or ordering more food or arguing about which movie to watch next.
there's just one person missing from the chaos.
dokyeom's sitting on the floor under the window, entirely in his own world, constantly checking his phone and looking at the door, shutting his eyes for a minute before repeating his actions.
joshua would've poked fun at him if he didn't know how tired dokyeom already was today. a particularly tiring day, especially with a comeback practice they'd just gotten back from, and a going seventeen shoot in which dokyeom had been on the losing team. even though he doesn't like to show it, joshua knows dokyeom is somewhat upset over not winning.
but the moment you walk into the room, it's like a switch has been flipped. dokyeom sits up straighter, the neutral expression on his face morphing into a tired but real smile. he holds his hands out to you and pouts when you stop to greet all the other members first, shaking hands with them or giving them a quick side hug.
joshua pulls you close with ease. "thanks for making it here on such short notice."
"are you seriously thanking me for that?"
"i mean...he really needs to see you. today hasn't been his day."
you look over at your husband for a moment. "i could tell. his texts were pretty dry."
"right? now go get your lover boy. he's been moping all evening long."
you wrinkle your nose at the term, just like he expected you to, but you nod and make your way to dokyeom.
joshua turns away when dokyeom gives you a dopey, lovesick grin. he'll let the teasing go for tonight.

I have WAAAAAAAYY too many 😭😭😭. Here are some of them: Hector has ADHD,Cass is near sighted and also has ADHD but she’s medicated (idk if they had that but let’s just say they do),varian and Edmund are both autistic,Stan and Cass are cousins (the cap being Stan’s uncle),Quirin is the oldest of the brotherhood,Edmund is the second oldest after him is Adira and Hector is the youngest. Hector is a Capricorn and is born on Christmas eve (is there a specific reason y I headcanon that? No) Hector and Eugene’s mom are half siblings,Cap had a wife when he adopted Cass but they got divorced,and then Cass’s “mom” died when Cass was 16. Willow has ADHD,and her and the Cap used to be a thing. I also headcanon that the Cap’s name is Caleb. Adira and Eugene’s mom used to date,earlier in high school. Hector stole his rhino from a circus that was passing through the DK,and he found the bear cats in the woods. Cass found Owl as a bb chick that fell out of his nest and was hurt and this happened not too long after her mom died so Owl just became her emotional support animal as well as her fighting bird. Andrew is dyslexic,oh and Quirin is color blind.
Idk ig Cass but I don’t like how they wrote it in the series. But my second would have to be Varian cuz ngl that would also make sense. But yet again I’m also interested with the moon!Eugene au.

I really would’ve liked to see them really dive into the motives of why they wanted to take Corona back. I also think that Ready as I’ll ever be should’ve gotten a reprise ont eh finale I stead of us getting through it all,cuz let’s be real that song was not it.

guess who just watched the mario movie
SPOILERS!!!!!
if you haven’t watched the movie yet, DONT READ THIS POST. but here’s a spoiler free review in a few words; good and simple movie. 10/10.
before we start, i laughed over the fact that right after the little mermaid live action trailer, they show dreamworks’ upcoming movie; teenage kraken ruby gilman and HAAAOOOO my god i was laughing because guess what the antagonist of the movie is; a mermaid, looks exactly like ariel. 😭😭💀💀
okay lets get to the movie now. the dude that plays the arcade when the brothers see their plumbing ad on tv in the pub, is who i like to call “the demo super mario” because he’s the guy who’s in the donkey kong barrel game, yet i think in an interview with miyamoto, he said that jumpman and mario are the same person, but in this movie they are two seperate characters. so thats interesting. also i think that spike guy looks similar???
missed opportunity for bowser to throw one of the penguin babies off a cliff /j (if you know you know)

from an avid mario kart player that only plays with their family, RAHHHH the mario kart segment made me so HAPPY. actually this whole movie made me happy
the amount of leitmotifs i was able to identify…this movie’s ost is A BANGER. and yes, i will talk about peaches soon dont worry
the animators and artists of this movie deserve a raise, BIG RAISE. they really made the average mario kart race as actual 150cc (thats the cc i normally play on)
im kinda happy that they made the blue shell a character lol and they ended up actually acknowledging that WE CANNOT EVER ESCAPE FROM THE BLUE SHELL
idk the name of the super mario galaxy blue luma star…but i love them, i love how they made them, a cute thing, spit out existential shit, like, that’s me! im the blue star! no i didnt voice act in the movie but this blue luma star is literally me‼️
HOLY SHIT, the fact that they made the terrifying-ass eel monster from sm64 as a minor character in the movie. RAAAGHHHH so much heart was poured in this movie. if i were to choose a movie that did well because they stayed true to their source material, it’d be “mario movie > sonic movie” PERIOD
i mean, they could do a little better on the plot and pacing, because the pacing is a little FASTER than the average splatoon pace lol

holy shit peach backstory real. she was just a human baby that somehow ended up in the untouched pipe system and went where she is now.
speaking about peach, im so glad that SHE literally slayed in this movie. this wasnt the first time she broke her damsel in distress role tho, idk aside from the smash games i think there was one canon mario game where she broke her typical role..idfk i forgot the game but i swear she girlbossed in another game aside from fighting in smash bros!

seth rogen ALSO SLAYED as donkey kong. like PERFECT voice for a character that doesnt speak english. **chefs kiss**

Somehow, I knew I had it coming 😂But, as always, I'm going to be serious about it and I'll give it some proper thinking!
Let me start by saying that Takasugi doesn't just go shopping whenever he pleases. For starters, he is a terrorist and a wanted man, he can't just walk in Edo Mart and be like yo, what aisle for brussels sprouts? And even if he wasn't can you imagine Takasugi just strolling through the supermarket, comparing prices and reading the additives of each product? 😂 Not gonna lie, I pity the employees, he'd just give them THE STARE. What do you mean you have no yakult? 👀 Don't get me wrong, he'd be a very respectful customer, wouldn't cause any trouble. Unless he ran into Gintoki, then he might as well bury his face in the first shelf he finds. But anyways, anyways, let's not get off topic here!
Takasugi would rarely shop by himself and most of the time, Matako or someone else would personally handle his shopping list. But on the rare occasion he goes shopping, then this is what I would imagine his list to be!

Sugi's Shopping List
Yakult
it's his priority, he loves it, come on!
Yoghurt
considering how he likes yakult so much, I can see him getting behind yoghurt honestly. Even having a bit of a childish eating habit and picking those flavored small yoghurts that are meant for kids. I don't think he'd openly admit to it that's why it's something he'd purchase when going shopping on his own.
String Cheese
another childish habit I can see him having. string cheese is something he can eat on the run and basically, many of the foods I'm going to include are ones you can eat on the go. basically snacks that don't need to be prepared and can be consumed as they are.
Tofu
even if he might indulge himself in certain western delicacies, at his core, Takasugi is a traditional man. rather than actual cheese, he'd opt for tofu.
Eggs
eggs are just... eggs, you know? so many dishes include them, so yeah.
Tea leaves
but you know, not the cheap Lipton ones. he has high standards after all! rather than coffee, I see him more as a tea kinda guy buuuut
Coffee Beans
he would like to have some coffee around and I feel like he'd be good at brewing it himself, just like his tea. i can see him and bansai sitting together while drinking either, honestly.
Water
he is a human, humans drink water, what can I say? plus, i doubt he can find high quality water lying in space.
Fruits and Vegetables
now this is the harder for me to think, because i can't really tell what kind of fruits or veggies he'd prefer. i feel like he is into healthy food, considering how yakult is basically probiotics and if he could afford to have a proper meal, he'd go for it. i can see him being into berries (NOT STRAWBERRIES BECAUSE GIN which actually arent berries at all but eh), grapes, lychees, persimmons, dates, plums or perhaps the occasional apple too. i'm afraid i can't offer an exact explanation as to why i chose these specific ones but eh, it be like this sometimes. about veggies now, lotus roots, edamame, yams, cabbage, daikon, seaweed (not really a veggie but dk what to consider it here ;-;), mushrooms and beets. i wanna say eggplants too because they are purple and well... heh.
i guess something these things have in common are that they can be either eaten individually, or are widely used in japanese cuisine.
Nuts
YEAH YEAH, I CAN HEAR THE SNICKERS FROM HERE ABOUT THIS ONE. still, nuts are a great source of NUTrients. also for some reason, i can see Takasugi liking something that requires a bit of work? now this will sound weird af but i can totally imagine him spitting the shells (or seeds since i mentioned fruits) at gintoki or people who annoy him (throwback sakamoto spit translate scene). i dont know, maybe it's because he smokes, maybe it's because he uses his fingers a lot WHEN PLAYING THE SHAMISEN, DON'T GET ME WRONG, i can see him liking foods that need some work. that's what i meant. yeah? yeah.
Sweets?
i don't see him as a sweet kinda guy, not gonna lie. but, perhaps he would indulge in an occasional chocolate candy bar. perhaps a darker chocolate? if he got a craving, i'd still think he'd opt for more traditional stuff so, perhaps dorayaki or mochi would catch his eye, if the store had some premade ones.
Miso paste
absolute MUST for breakfast.
Rice
Gum?
this one is debatable. he is a smoker, he has shitty breath, gum is easy to pop in for some freshness i guess. if he needed to have a clean breath, this is the lazy way to do it.
Soy sauce
the answer to the eternal debate of ketchup vs mayo would be soy sauce for him. this is the way of the ancestors, somehow.
Noodles
another no brainer. if you ask me, he is more of a soba kinda guy though.
Meat/Fish
usually he doesn't buy such things himself. he isn't the one to cook his own meals so... plus, meat and fish take a long of time to prepare. i think of him more as a fish kinda guy, not sure why though. if he can get his hands on some fresh fish, he'll go for it.
OH AND, not exactly fish but, Mentaiko!
Onigiri
Takasugi is a bit of a sentimental fool, no denying here. onigiri is a food linked to his childhood and to Katsura. he would eat such things behind everyone's back and if anyone noticed and asked him if he wanted some, he'd deny it, claiming that he hated the taste of him. still, i feel like it's a food he'd buy without second thought, if he happened to find it in the store.
Jelly Beans
another troll-y food choice. they are tasty and can be eaten on the go. i can see him being very picky about the order he eats them in, going as far as to not eat a certain type of flavor at all!
Alcohol
man needs to drown his pain somehow. Sake, Umeshu, Nigori, Shochu, i can see him drinking each of them. usually with Bansai, he is his certified drinking buddy. sometimes Matako and Takechi join too but they get wasted! Matako gets all flustered, attaching herself to him "Shinsuke sam~AaaaaaAAAa", she is just a mess. Takechi's lolicon comments intensify and he might honestly try to annoy Matako who just gets defensive and cries harder while wiping her nose on Takasugi's sleeve... yeah....no, it's better if he just drinks with Bansai on second thought.
Hygiene Products
i feel like Takasugi is very hygienic when he can afford to be. he is someone who obviously puts thought in his appearance and so i can see shampoo and shower gels being up high in his list. funnily enough, i can see him as someone who could potentially get behind bath bombs! they are relaxing, have a certain aesthetic and hey, BUBBLES! but mainly, i feel like he is a soap bar kinda type. he prefers clean scents without bells and whistles. perhaps something that has a bit of a flowery scent? basically relaxing stuff. definitely an ylang ylang or sandalwood kinda guy (damn i'm reading too much into it). also toothbrush, toothpaste, the usual stuff. floss too. gotta wash the tobacco away.
oh and of course, he is clueless about detergents. he doesn't handle that at all, Matako takes care of his laundry somehow. he frowned upon her about it in the start, but she's managed to find a smell he likes so they are good.
Tobacco
wasn't sure if i should add that because not all regular stores have that but yeah, he needs it for his kiseru!
MAN, I spent so much time thinking about this. Not in a million years would I ever think that I'd be writing Takasugi Shinsuke's personal shopping list. But there is always a first, I guess! These are just my opinions/headcanons/guts, call them whatever you want, really. Some of these have a base I guess while others are just hunches.
Hope this wasn't too out of character, hey, I DID MY BEST! I loved this ask though, it was so particular and different from what I usually do or think about.

Ok so jus watched zack snyder's justice leauge!! I gotta say i like this waay more then infinity war end game. The story is much more coherent bad guys hav logical motive gd guys has character development they have a plan besides jus chargeeeee. Yep intereating it feels kinda like a difd approch whre like i jus met new characters but i can tell theres a backstory n i want to know more so i am excited to watch their individual movie next kinda opp mcu. Ah fk i really love gal gadot as wonder woman shes so awesome and her action sequemces are so damm cool n yea my god i dun think i can ever see anyone else aa wonder woman. Oh man kinda bump that brucr like been doing his for 20 years n no robin or maybe there is n he ded not sure yet when he dies since joker say there is in the post apocolypse world. But mm interesting dynamic of barey being like the youngest n i dk are they hinting at wonderbat?? They definately the team parenta thou. Finally got to see the SMB Movie-today - and gotta say, it was really entertaining and fun ride! It really just is that IMO, very entertaining and fun time for Mario-fanatics and non-gamers alike, really~
The way Nintendo's writing team (including Shigeru Miyamoto) allowed back the more older interpretation of Mario's world from way back in the 80s was such a damn treat - and as someone intrigued hard on how they'd present Spike from Wrecking Crew... yes. They nailed his jerkassy coworker attitude perfectly, even giving us a subtle background on Mario Bros's earlier jobs before they finally picked up plumbing instead. Also holy moly, the more tinier references to Nintendo's earlier titles and then some was pretty nice to see plastered, with some even feeling like world-built to this verse of Brooklyn (PunchOut Pizzeria with it's portraits of the contestants, I was so unexpectedly elated)
Honestly, it really REALLY tickled back my younger self that used to explore Mario's world in more intricate detail as inspired by likes of Super Mario Adventures-comic and even Super Mario Bros. Super Show + Adventures of SMB3... The little things that give Mario Bros. a little more background (like... THEY NOW HAVE STRAIGHT-UP FULL FAMILY WHICH EVEN CONTRIBUTES TO MARIO'S CHARACTER ARC???). Also man, the idea of Mario disliking mushrooms and needing to endure that over the course of the movie to use his most recognized powerup? That's kind of clever~
I guess my few pet peeves might have been Peach's characterization - which while presenting her agility in very breath-taking, competent way, kept leaning really hard on presenting her as a massive "girlboss". I guess I wish more of her trademark sweetness was shown here and there, you know?
But watching her socialize in somewhat "winging it"-type of awkward fashion when she tries to bond with Mario, gets kind of cute.
On that end, seeing her backstory in this movie is pretty interesting what-if on how we got to have someone like her in Mushroom Kingdom at the first place. Really sold on it. Hmmm, now that I think about it, does that also explain why Cranky Kong was kinda more "grumpy-ish jungle-ruling grand-daddy" with not as much snark to him - though I guess him not appreciating his sonny-boy DK -> that contributing to DK being kind of frustrated that he's not seen more than a primate that smashes stuff for other kong's entertainment... that's something to note. Led to a nice bonding between friendly rivals of Mario and DK due sharing that kinda background, eh...
*Cough* - moving on -
Toad kept stealing the show so many times though, I really like this fearless and cleverly goober energy- and him bonding with Peach was really cool too, they're kind of a perfect team in this movie-verse. Oh man... WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST MAKE HIM AND PEACH BE A COMBO CHARACTER IN SMASH BROS ULTIMATE, SAKURAI
On Luigi, I wish he got more used in the movie - clearly was put to a more damsel-y role and didn't get too many active moments in the movie (outside of the saving move that'd lead to the ultimate climax in the movie).
Outside of that all? Really loved it - so many fun uses of timeless, iconic elements from Mushroom Kingdom - And like man, I freaked out when they showed Giant Unagi, and later on Banzai Bill in the movie (that glare he gave to Mario gave me shivers, ngl).
And Jungle Kingdom/Kong Island (?) was a huge treat on itself with combining Mario Kart-like vibes around it's jungle-y landscapes. I wanna watch that scene again where the Mario and co. get brought to Cranky Kong via that fine road rush of a transport...
And Bowser's portrayal? PERFECT. I was so happy to see they kept his more hammy, goofy side that doesn't still hamper how damn threatening he can get. Hoo boyy.
Honestly, I hope we get a second movie sometime soon... and also, this might make me wanna explore some personal ideas again regarding Mario Bros. before their arrival to Mushroom Kingdom, except now repurposed for this movie's alternate universe.

The8 had to stay in the medical bay for almost 3 months. It wasn’t an overstatement to say that he was ready to die by the third week. He didn’t talk with any humans and wasn’t kind to the other hybrids, not that he was rude, just quite sensible. During that period, you had come every other day to see him, plus the two times you were carried inside to treat your own wounds.
For some reason you couldn’t figure out, DK, Mingyu and Jun were visiting him everyday for at least an hour per hybrid, all the boys had met The8 but the others were more casual about visiting him. Well… The trio that were more committed weren’t hurt so you could just not worry about it for now. But you were a little concerned about when the flying hybrid get discharge… Your hybrids got really attached to him.
To your surprise, it seemed that The8 also got a liking on your boys. As you could clearly see from outside of the medical bay. He was smiling. Like not the sarcastic smirks that he gave you all the time but an actual smile. One with joy! You couldn’t help but also open a grin. It seemed that that hybrid wasn’t so hurt that he couldn’t trust, he just couldn’t trust humans.
Anyway, that was how you passed the last three months, catching glimpses of a The8 that not only you didn’t thought could exist but also probably wouldn’t ever be able to fully see. He did had his guard a little down near you but you were still a human, so he would never be bare in front of you. That didn’t made you sad, since the boy had made new friends that he clearly started to trust now.

Minghao simply didn’t like you. He didn’t hate you, that he was sure since he knew that you weren’t the worst of the human race. But still. That was why he couldn’t understand why that funny and innocent boys liked you so much. He also couldn’t help but try to open their eyes for humans. Minghao wouldn’t be cruel but they needed to know that there are some dangers outside that building.
“Oh? Now I remember! Aren’t you the one I saw at the back alley in the restaurant?” It was the fifth time Mingyu and DK had visit The8. “The restaurant at the city! The one that served seafood!” The aquatic hybrid was ecstatic. Minghao looked at him and finally remembered what the other was talking about.
“It was you?!” Huh? So that boy knew what humans were capable of and still choose to be adopted by one?
“Yes! I should thank you! Because of you, Y/n and the Strike Team were able to rescue everyone there and even adopt some, like me! She even said that I couldn't forget to thank the one who came to alert the team.” Mingyu was smiling. Seokmin laughed and also turned to Minghao, but his voice was a little quieter.
“Do you remember the first time you saw Y/n?” Even Mingyu quiet down a little after the question. Until that visit, they had avoided serious matters. Even when Junhui came too, they would talk about the center or their days, maybe they would be able to get a story or two from Minghao himself. Minghao was confused, but still nodded, confirming that he recalled the event.
“The hybrid on the basement…” Seokmin took a deep breath “She was my mother.” There were silence for a few seconds before The8 react.
“I’m sorry…”
“No!” Dokyeom shook his head “You saved her too. Y/n told me yesterday that was you the hybrid who guided her towards my mother. You can’t say sorry to me, I should be thanking you… Actually, thank you! Thank you for giving her the chance to go in peace. Also thank you for helping Y/n on that mission, because of that she could find me, a little late” he laughed “but she still found me.”

Your next visit started a little weird. As you arrived at the medical bay, you noticed The8 a little off, as if he had too much in his head. You had to wait a good 20 minutes before he acknowledge your presence there. Then you had to wait for more 15 minutes as he studied your face. When he finally let his own expression relax, you spoke for the first time.
“So… What happened?”
“Mingyu… Is the hybrid that gave me food some months ago. He was at that restaurant that I gave you and your team the lead to.” You nodded. That would happen sooner or later anyway. “Seokmin told me… About his mother. She was the hybrid that my adopted family kept on the basement.” You nodded again. DK was quite sentimental about the hybrid who helped you to find his mother, he had to thank him.
“You have no idea of your role in this center, right?” He looked at you seeming confused but not angry. “Do you remember all the hybrids I adopted?” The8 nodded. Those who visited him never stopped talking about that large group. “Well… You were there when we rescued Junhui from the ring to procreation, were there when we got Hoshi from the hybrid hunters, caused trouble when I was just adopting Jeonghan and Joshua and was because of that crazy rade on the forest that you guided us that I found Seungcheol.”
The hybrid was in silence. Not even his breathing could be heard. You smiled to him, finding his reaction amusing. You thought that he would known what he did for your center, since he was always coming and going between Korea and China saving hybrids and taking them to the hybrid villages the government of both countries took care.

Minghao didn’t know how to react… Normally the hybrids he helped would hate or at least not trust humans… So what was happening with all those that the girl told him about? Why they accepted her so easily? That was how her visit that day ended, they didn’t exchange any other words.
A few days after that, when Minghao was testing his legs and trying to get up a little, Junhui went to visit him. The older one was almost glowing in joy while the serious one was trying his best not to punch him. Not that Jun cared. The cat didn’t even waited for the other to say hi before helping him and starting to babble.
“Hey, hey, I heard the doctors saying that you could leave after a week now.” The feline smiled “Are you really going to leave the center?” Minghao wanted to say yes but the smile of the older one made him guess that Junhui had something more to say.
“That’s the plan…”
“Well… And if I tell you that Y/n could put you to work with the Strike Team and you could keep helping hybrids… Would you still go?” Junhui’s eyes made Minghao once again control himself to not punch him.
“I don’t know… I don’t really like humans, Hyung…”
“But if you work with them, you could do a lot more, right? Also, you would receive a lot of resources and wouldn’t have to starve or fend for yourself alone anymore…” That made The8 quiet… It’s true that he would be able to do all Junhui was talking about but… Would it be worth? Not listening for his reply, the cat continued: “Well… And you would live with us if you accepted…”

You were petting Vernon in your office on a rare break when Jun exploded the door open. You both jumped in shock but the cat hybrid didn’t gave you time to understand the situation. He ran to you and started to jump, holding your hand that was on Vernon’s head before. You and the poor canine hybrid were just looking at him with wide eyes.
“He accepted, Y/n, he accepted!”
“What? Who? What?” You were really overwhelmed by him.
“The8! He accepted to be adopted by you and to work with the Strike Team!”
“Eh?!” You trembled… Oh… JB and Leo will kill you.

I finished watching Hello My Twenties and I have many thoughts so
S2 was kinda disappointing after binge watching S1 in like, 2 days was it? It wasn't ~bad~ but so many of the plots i just ended up skipping over either because they were cringy or I was pissed about them xjwnsbs
1. The only story line I was actually very interested in was Ji Won's. She didn't really have much of a role in S1 other than being the comedic relief character but her figuring out her trauma and just like... her character in general in S2 I loved. I also liked her relationship with Sung Min, even though it kinda ends in a cliff hanger? not quite? Because you know they're gonna end up dating sooner or later, they had very great chemistry and Sung Min was more a friend, supporting her and helping her out with her trauma, than a dumb love interest like typical kdramas. dk if what I just said makes sense but whatever, it makes sense to me. They had a very healthy relationship.
I also saw there was a post ending scene that wasn't shown in the netflix version where a kid is sitting in the bench outside the house the girls lived in, and then the father comes out and she asks if that's where her mother lived, he responds yes and they walk away. The actress that played Ji Won confirmed it was set 8 years into the future, and that was her and Sung Min's daughter after Ji Won died because of her "job" or smt like that, and im SOBBING about that lmfao I guess the job was the investigation about Hyojin's sexual assault by the teacher? anyway that's the only thing in S2 that made me cry and it wasn't even in S2 xjwjshshah but im so upset because she was my favourite character
2. Jin Myung's plot was ok, I wasn't really interested in Heimdal's plot but I'm very happy they didn't force the characters into a romantic relationship like I was fearing they would do. She was great, I dont have many feelings about it though, just eh
3. Ye Eun's plot... kinda the same too? I liked it, found the scenes with Ho Chang very cringe but whatever, its a kdrama. Of course there had to be some sort of "nerdy character dates preppy/normie person and they change their appearance into a normie". There were some parts I was just.... huh? like when they brought up her ED but then she gets magically cured because someone's mum was eating shamelessly in front of her. That was weird lmao
Her plot was 6/10, it was cool, I was interested. But I didn't have any feelings about it
and now what made AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH about S2
4. Eun Jae.......................... they had to change the actress because the og one had conflicting schedules. Ok, whatever, not a big deal, plenty of series have had this happen and they pulled it off. but.............. definitely not hello my 20s lmao like just introduce a new character for the new actress??? the personality was completely different? ~muh character development~ my ass lmao her S1 character was shy, but like... ah, i dont know how to describe it.... believable? Her S2 personality was irritating, like it was a completely different person from S1. I'd just rather they'd gotten rid of the eun jae character and just introduced a new one? I wouldn't have hated it nearly as much as I did lmao I just found it very hard to relate to her.
The whole "I am obsessed with my ex because he was my 1st love" plot was so. fucking. cringe. So bad. 1/10, and I'm only giving it the 1 because, somehow, Jo Eun's plot pissed me off even more lmao
5. Jo eun............ I had so many expectations...... I already made a post complaining about it because SERIOUSLY I WAS SO PISSED SJWBDUAUA THE QUEERBATING!!!! I feel like I can hardly talk about her because I ended up skipping most, if not all, of her scenes with Jang Hoon out of spite jwhdhehs
HOW ARE YOU GONNA GIVE ME AN ANDROGYNOUS CHARACTER, WITH A FEMME/YANDERE* FRIEND, HINT AT THEM BEING A COUPLE FOR LIKE 4 EPISODES, THEN OUT OF NOWHERE INTRODUCE A MAN IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL AND MAKE HIM HER LOVE INTEREST WHEN THEY DONT HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON OR ANY CHEMISTRY AT ALL IM SO PISSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDD IM SO FUCKING PISSED ABOUT THIS

HER TOXIC ASS RELATIONSHIP WITH YERI WAS FAR MORE INTERESTING THAN WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY DID WITH JANG HOON
I WASN'T EXPECTING ANYTHING BECAUSE 2017 KOREA, NOT EXACTLY THE MOST LGBT FRIENDLY, BUT I WAS STILL LET DOWN. THAT'S HOW BAD IT WAS.

also i missed yina a lot, wished she had kept a main role :( but alas, the actress was involved in the t-ara bullying drama so she was relegated to a minor character that only showed up like twice lmao sigh
I wished they had done a 3rd season, because they sort of hinted at it with Song Min and Ji Won's relationship being left on a clifdhanger and not confirming wether she ended up going to jail for accusing the teacher of sexual assault. I guess they gave up in the series after Song Min's actor went to jail for the DUI/running away from an accident/trying to get a younger actor to take the blame for everything thing which is.... understandable, but fuck lmao A spin off series about those two would be pretty sweet jdjahsbs if i was any talented, I'd write a fic about it myself, but alas, i can't write for shit

30 Days of Smash
On my Twitter i was filling all this in for the last month of hype before Smash Ultimate. It's out tomorrow so I'm gonna post all my answers from Twitter here!
30 Days Left. Favorite Mario character to play as? BOWSER! He brings the power and I'm all about hitting hard :D I especially love the new dropkick he picked up recently and his changed running animation. He's just fierce! Also, a 10/10 dad
29 Days Left. Favorite Zelda character to play as? SHEIK! I just think she's awesome. She's a ninja assassin! What's not to like? The new moves she was given too, the bomb and bouncing fish, I enjoy those. Sheik is just cool
28 Days Left. Favorite Pokemon to play as? That is gonna go to Greninja, no question! Another smash day another ninja, what are the odds haha. completely unexpected Smash 4 newcomer. I got back into Pokemon with X and Y and I love Greninja, he came at a perfect time!
27 Days Left. Favorite Ultimate Newcomer? Simon Belmont for sure! I'm not super experience in Castlevania, played only a few games but everything about his reveal and just him as a video game character has me super excited to play him!
26 Days Left. Favorite Echo Fighter? Goin with Dark Samus cause of how unexpected she was. It's super cool that Metroid has gone from having kinda 1 character (as both are indeed samus) to now having 3. That's rad. And Dark Samus, she just looks cool!
25 Days Left. Favorite Fire Emblem fighter? Easy! It's mah boi the all powerful radiant hero Ike! Brute force is my thing and he has that in spades!
24 Days Left. Favorite Fighter from another series? Well that'll go to Shulk. He is currently the only Xenoblade rep (hopefully that changes) but he is another fighter I greatly enjoy playing as and he's a great character from one of the best games of all time!
23 Days Left. Favorite Assist Trophy? THE BLACK KNIGHT! I'm so happy we're finally getting more worthwhile Fire Emblem content. I was super stoked just to see the Killing Edge, but one of Daein's Four Riders? Awesome. And he looks so strong! Is perfect!
22 Days Left. Most useful or favorite Pokemon in Ultimate? No one of them really sticks out to me as my favorite...a lot are really reliable. Think I'm gonna give it to Keldeo for this one. He has crazy range and he is relentless!
21 Days Left. Favorite stage in Ultimate? There are WAY too many stages to just pick one favorite. I mean, THERE ARE SO MANY! But I remember the Dream Land GBA stage in 3DS and being SO HAPPY to play on it, I'm so ecstatic that its back. That Kirby game was my childhood!
20 Days Left. Favorite Song in the Smash Bros Series? That is a ridiculous question. Nigh impossible to answer. There are a lot of good tunes but Imma take it back to Brawl with the rock awesomeness that is Tabuu's theme!
19 Days Left. Favorite alternate. Again a lot i like but i gotta give it to Mario's stars and stripes. It's just so good XD
18 Days Left. Smash 64 "main" Ah yes. Back in the days when Ocarina of Time dominated my gaming life! The Hero of Time, Link was my go to and to this day he's one I still enjoy playing!
17 Days Left. Melee guy. Well for the gamecube days the character I stuck to the most was still the Hero of Time, Link. No one could really pull me away though I greatly enjoyed Falco and Marth too

13 Days Left. Favorite Final Smash. I'm a giant Xenoblade nerd so the more Xeno the better. And Shulk bringing his crew in for the smackdown is too good!
12 Days Left. Most disliked or least useful Final Smash Peach's simply cause it doesn't do anything. Also Jigglypuff and ice climbers smashes. Just boring really.
11 Days Left. Favorite Smash minigame. Huh. Tough. I always did appreciate the original break the targets and board the platforms. Really challenging stuff!
10 Days Left. Favorite Smash item. The assist trophy. Such a Cool idea bringing in other video game characters for aid. So many cool peeps out there!

6 Days Left. Who do I expect to play the most as in Smash Ultimate? Most likely Shulk since I'm a Xenoblade obsessed nut and Ike comin in after that cause the Radiant games are the best FE games. MONADO BOI AND HERO OF THE BLUE FLAMES
5 Days Left. Assist trophy I'd like to see as a fighter? That'd be Lyndis. Ever since Brawl where there were only 2 FE peeps s on the roster. She's a great character (betterthanallthe3dtrash) and would actually give some origin variety given again, 4 3ds characters.

3 Days Left. Very first Smash Bros memory. I guess that would be just...playing Smash 64 with my sisters. Making up stories going from fight to fight and pretending blue Fox was Falco. It was a simpler time.

Here they are, my Etrian Odyssey 4 party, the Missingno Guild! Vellia, Orin, Haru, Capricorn, and Steve!
I gave some character descriptions like two years ago, but here’s some updated ones under the cut~
Vellia
Landsknecht
24 years old but acts like shes 15

Not very good with social interaction in general
Big Gay, Big Trans, Big Adventure
Self-taught swordfighter, has always wanted to go on a real adventure!
Comes from a small village on the outskirt of her country- the entire village got razed in a day, and her and her family were only spared because they were out in town selling their farm goods for a few days
She was picked up by Orin shortly after this, who didn’t tell her anything except that he was escaping from the people who did this too, and took her and her family to Tharsis with him.
Saw that the Explorer’s Guild had openings, applied, and put out a call for a guild. As much to fulfill her dream of adventuring as it was to take her mind off of everything she lost.
Her headstrong nature...HAS gotten the party into some trouble on their adventures, usually boiling down to ‘COME ON GUYS WE’RE SO CLOSE TO THE END OF THIS LABRYNTH I JUST KNOW IT’ while half the party is literally dying
Its fine tho because she would also literally die to protect her friends
Anyway theres Two guild members i didnt add to this lineup because I was lazy, Wufan (shes an npc who can join ur party) and Vuuya (Imperial), and she is slash was head over heels for both, Wufan is so small and cute and Vuuya is so proper and ladylike and well groomed...she loves girls and she just doesnt get why EVERYONE doesnt like girls. its wild

Figurative straight man of the party
Sort of a father figure to Vellia, insofar that he keeps her from saying and doing extremely stupid things in public
Can probably lift everyone in the party over his head with ease
Quiet dude, doesn’t talk except in like...body language and sign language
The oldest party member, somewhere in his late 20s.
Used to be a member of the royal army in his home country- the same one Vellia was from. He joined pretty early and worked his way up through the ranks as a defensive unit
One day though as he was standing guard he overheard the chief strategists talking to each other- he knew that tensions were rising with the neighboring country, but the strategists wanted to ramp it up to a war without making it look like a pre-emptive strike. The plan was to send their own men, disguised in the colors and regalia of the rival country, to ravage and destroy their own countries’ villages on the border between them and their enemies.
Orin tried to ignore it, but when he was assigned to this mission, it took zero time for him to jump a horse and desert the forces and make his way to the border to stop this
He was too late- when he got to the village, all that was there was Vellia and her brothers, sobbing in horror. Unable to bring himself to tell he what happened, he brought her and her brothers to Tharsis as a safe haven for the both of them.
Goes on adventures with the guild because, eh, they’re kinda good on knights and he STILL feels super guilty about what happened to Vellia’s village so he just tags along with her

Comes from EO Japan so I guess technically somewhere close to Etria? His parents were dumb and sucked and wanted him to take over the family business but he idolized the village doctor after he saved him from a super nasty infection as a kid and Haru apprenticed under him for a long time and the doctor actually got Haru to Tharsis so he was cool
Was actually in Tharsis the longest, at least since he was like...18, studying medicine and working in a practice, but only recently the practice they were working at had to close and Haru lost their job and housing all at once, and saw that the Adventurer’s Guild benefits included housing AND steady pay and after searching literally everywhere else in the city and not having the funds to start his own practice, he just took it.
Also gay. Normally doesnt have much interest in romance but when he does its for dudes and VERY for Capricorn
Their relationship started out as like ‘yeah academic buddies’ and then sorta devolved into flirting (mostly capricorn towards haru actually) and sorta came to a head after Capricorn nearly permanently DIED and Haru was yelling at him and said something to the effect of “YOU IDIOT, I CARE ABOUT YOU! STOP ACTING LIKE YOUR LIFE IS ONLY WORTH HOW MUCH USE YOU ARE TO OTHER PEOPLE!’ and then stalked off all flustered because holy shit he actually said that.............
anywoo the two of them share a room at the inn and Haru does a lot of studying at night and Cap has to TELL him to sleep and at least on one occasion has just dragged him into bed with him

Chill and gentlemanly, comes from a aristocratic and heavily academic family up in EO Scandinavia so hes got a lot of formal education and high society experience
dresses warm but really loose, if given the opportunity he’ll totally just wear robes or a long dress.
Pan, technically, but definitely has a preference towards dudes. Thinks Haru is just real cute at first but then that quickly spirals into ‘Haru is cute and smart and brave and determined and i care about him a lot’ and he goes from being flirty to being sweet and sappy and lovesick
Capricorn’s Thing is that his suitors and friends were constantly like ‘You’re so smart! you’re so talented!’ his younger brother Sebastian was constantly outperforming him and neither his family nor his teachers or even Sebastian would let him forget it and it like. really ground down on him. Were people saying he was good just because his family was big and important, or were his family and teacher just way too harsh on him and playing obvious favorites? like...think Tahani from The Good Place but instead of going on to be spiteful he decides to get away from it all to get a more objective measure of himself
He leaves his family, heads to Tharsis in the far south where nobody besides magical scholars and alchemists will recognize his name, and goes by a fake last name to make absolute sure that nobody will have any idea who he is and judge him without bias. And where better to put your magical skills to an objective test than out on the field, and joins the Adventurer’s Guild.
Unfortunately due to years of being told hes not good enough he has...a big Thing about being ‘useful’ so he’ll constantly stretch himself to his limits out on the field in order to feel like he’s of some use to everyone, and Haru HATES this! Hates it! You need to take care of yourself, you can’t be ‘useful’ if you don’t have any of yourself left to give, and you don’t ALWAYS have to be useful! Capricorn please love yourself
Anyway the moment Capricorn realized his feelings for Haru went deeper than ‘hes cute’ was like. Haru was looking through Cap’s books looking for a medical reference on something and noticed that he had a really important medical reference written by someone in Cap’s family and Haru got REALLY excited like ‘oh my god can I borrow this? I’ll be REALLY careful with it’ and Cap was like ‘sure, you can take it, I have more at home’ and the GRATEFUL SMILE Haru gave him and how he dove into the book and marveling out loud at all the cutting-edge information and super clear diagrams and the quality...made Cap catch feelings.

Comes from the country that Orin and Vellia’s country went to war with- as far as Vellia knows, that country DID raze her village and kill her family, so upon learning about his country of origin, she gets Real Mad and confronts him.
Steve, however, only holds allegiance to the highest bidder- he’s played on both sides of the fence, picking off whichever wealthy aristocrat he was paid to kill by another wealthy aristocrat. And he’s seen how they view the world from up on their lofty political seats- the rest of the world, people like Vellia, people like Steve, hell, people like Orin were all just pawns in their little games for power.
Anyway he manages to get Vellia off his back after monologuing and then reassuring her that the closest affiliation he had to the army of the country she THINKS ravaged her village was the occasional general paying him to pick someone of high standing off.
So if he could be assassinating people in High Society, why is he here? Well, he’s a lot more likely to get a contract as a soldier than an assassin during a war, which would not be very good for him staying out of public attention, so he took off to Tharsis- Adventuring isnt the same as assassination, but it’s a nice change of pace. It’s not exactly like he’s hurting for cash anyway, so...
He’s pretty Mysterious otherwise. Whats his last name? Whats his past besides being sneaky? why is he so edgy? nobody knows

So... If every Smash character were to have an echo fighter: (also new fighter ideas?)
Mario - Honestly I’d put Luigi, but he’s not an option and I guess Dr. Mario is like an echo fighter for him even though he’s not
Donkey Kong - Could easily put in another one of the Kongs such as DK Junior, Chunky Kong, Funky Kong, etc.
Link - Another version of Link could work
Samus - Has Dark Samus as efighter
Yoshi - Birdo! Please, can we have our lovely pink friend added?
Kirby - Hard to think of anyone else for Kirby lol
Fox - We could have Peppy or Slippy
Pikachu - Raichu! Either the original version or the Alolan version
Luigi - Where we could have put our hopes and dreams for Waluigi, but definitely not happening
Ness - I don’t know much about Earthbound, but I think they pretty much have all the kids in
Captain Falcon - Black Shadow or Blood Falcon
Jigglypuff - We could have Wigglytuff or even Clefairy. Really any small, round, puffy pokemon could work
Peach - Has Daisy as efighter
Bowser - Petey Piranha would be a nice change! Though I think more people would prefer (and would probably work better) Dry Bowser
Ice Climber - Yeah I’ve got no clue
Sheik - Impa! Maybe her Ocarina of Time version as her newer versions have a large sword (Impa for Smash??!?!!!!)
Zelda - Can easily put Hilda in as an option. If not, another version of Zelda would be ok

K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing (if he’s not an assist trophy for this game). It be cool if he could use his music to attack opponents!
Spring Man and Ribbon Girl from ARMS. Could even have an efighter who are two more characters from the game. Or if they wanted to make the two separate characters that works as well. Obviously their main weapons would be their arms.
The cute little characters from Snipperclips. I highly doubt it but never put it past Nintendo - they did add Wii Fit TRAINER who kinda came out of nowhere. Can snip and clip enemies.
So many potential Zelda characters they could add! Depending if they’re assist trophies already or not, but could include: Impa (see above with Sheik), Fi, Maron (she’s already a fighter in Hyrule Warriors), Darunia, Ruto, any of the Champions from Breath of the Wild, Tetra, Ravio, Yuga, Skull Kid...
From 3rd-Party IPs:
Honestly, first and foremost, it’d be awesome to have Sora from Kingdom Hearts! It’d be another sword-type character, but imagine him with his Keyblade! And Disney characters! Though this one might be hard to obtain since it’s SquareEnix/Disney, BUT would be a very good advertising strategy for Square/Disney since KH3 comes out one month after Smash. This would be the character I’d want in Smash the most as of right now.
Another hopeful for me is Professor Layton from the Professor Layton series. He could use a fencing sword (Yeah another sword user) and his final smash you could point at your opponent and have them trapped inside a puzzle! Could have Luke or Katrielle as an efighter.
Dr. Eggman from the Sonic series. He could be inside one of his robots to attack! So many options for his fighting style and for what his final smash would be! Also another villain which we need more of.
Rayman from the Rayman series (part of me for a moment thought about the Rabbids who could possibly end up on the list but I really hope not just because I would absolutely hate their taunt if they’re screaming but with the latest collab with Nintendo, it’s actually highly possible).
Someone from Dragon Quest? Monster Hunter? Resident Evil? Soul Caliber? Call of Duty? Steve from Minecraft? Assassin’s Creed? Lara Croft from Tomb Raider? Crash Bandicoot? Ace Attorney?
Just from my opinions, I would think Dr. Eggman and/or the Rabbids would be the most likely to show up next as new fighters in the game.

Pink Hoodie
Donghyuk/DK Scenario
Request: for the prompt thing: 2 & Donghyuk 😊
Prompt: The next guy I see wearing a pink hoodie, I’m gonna make him my boyfriend.
Being a solo trainee in YG of course you get to befriend some of your seniors. Of course some were mostly busy, that you didn’t even get the chance to even see them, but some were kind enough to sometimes buy food for the trainees. Lately, you befriended WINNER boys and also Suhyun, since one time you met them at the cafeteria and had lunch together.
Out of all of the seniors you befriended, Donghyuk was the one that you could somehow call as your close friend among all the artists. The two of you accidentally met in a lift, while you were listening to Bobby’s song that featured him. You were actually listening with your earphones on, but the lift was quiet since there were only two people, and not to mention, you did put the volume up pretty high that time, so he basically heard it. He tapped your shoulders and asked what you think about the song, while you were just actually listening to it for the first time. So then you finished listening to the rest of the song with him. After a few random meetings and a few lunch together, you couldn’t lie that you might had developed a huge crush on him, but remembering the rules and how low the possibility of him to feel the same way, you tried your best to ignore it.
Eventually, Donghyuk then introduced you to the boys. You became quite close with the boys to the point that sometimes you sneaked into their dorm just to hangout. It was a bit of playing with the fire thing, but it was fun, besides, it wasn’t like you do it every single day.
Today was one of those cheat days, maybe. Donghyuk texted you that he got this drama that he wanted to watch with you. You were free that day, so you of course, said yes to his request.

“Guys! Y/N is here!” Jinhwan said after opening the door for you.
“Something smells great, are you guys cooking?” You asked.
“Yun is cooking right now, and I think Hanbin is still trying to convince him to let him lend a hand.” The oldest chuckled. “You go convince the guy or something... I kinda feel bad for Hanbin.”
You laughed. “I’ll give it a shot, I guess.”
You failed to convince the cook, but you talked a bit with Hanbin, congratulating the leader on their success on the recent comeback. After that, you went ahead to Donghyuk’s room.
“Hey.” Donghyuk greeted.
“Do you have some snacks? I need something to munch on while I’m watching...”
“Hwangssabu is going to kill you.” He said but handed you a bag of doritos he got on his cabinet anyways.
He had some selection of drama movies but you ended up watching a Japanese drama, since he wanted to improve his Japanese, and so were you. To be quite honest, you were down for anything, having Donghyuk’s company was enough for you. You just enjoy being with him that the activity did not matter.

“Ah, if only my life’s like that sometimes...” You said, commenting a romantic scene from the movie.
“You’re telling me you never dated before...” Donghyuk laughed.
“Nope.”
“Any cute trainees you got your eye on?” The guy wiggled his eyebrows.
“Yah, that’s forbidden though!”
“Rules are made to be broken anyway.”
“This guy really...” You muttered.
“I mean seriously? Not even once?” He paused the movie, looking at you with a huge grin.
“Nope, but have you though?” You asked back curiously.
“I mean that’s a bit complicated...” He hummed. “Let’s just say I’ve experienced love before.” The guy said.
“Then why are you making fun of me? Nevermind. You know what? I’m feeling extra today, If anyone shows up in a pink hoodie, I’m gonna make him my boyfriend... Let’s gamble.”
“Uh, What???”
“What?” You retorted back.
“You’re not serious though? One of these crazy people in this place might show up wearing a pink hoodie...” Donghyuk said, questioning your decision.
“Let’s just say I will flirt with the guy.”
“As if you’re that serious anyway...” He said, doubting you. “And why pink hoodie?”
“I love pink.” You shrugged casually.
You weren’t really thinking that much about your words. Maybe you were a little bit crazy because the lack of sleep, or maybe you were just trying too hard to make it seem like he wasn’t the one that appeared in your mind when he asked about love. Oh well, as if someone would just show up wearing a pink hoodie...
And so, both of you continued to watch the movie. It was chill and all until Chanwoo just entered the room like no business, with a pink hoodie. With a PINK HOODIE.
“Uh, sorry, hyung? I left my headphones in your room...”
Donghyuk almost spat out the water he was drinking and eyed you straight away. You glared at him, not really knowing what to do. You really didn’t expect someone to show up wearing a pink hoodie, just minutes after you said some stupid things, but you weren’t the type to go back on your own words. Plus, Chanwoo would totally realize that you were not being serious at all, if not, then you could just easily explain to the guy later on. Although it would be a little weird...
“Chanwoo-ah! Join us!”
But you were in a mood for being weird.
“What?!” Donghyuk looked at you skeptically.
“Eh? Nah, it’s okay, I’m just gonna be a distraction...“
“Nonsense. Come on, join us! Please?” You spoke a little bit more cutely, which made Donghyuk gag.
“I guess if you really insist...” The boy looked at the older guy’s expression and smiled, then he sat down next to you.
“You are serious?” Donghyuk whispered to you, but you only shrugged in return.
Almost half an hour through the movie, the movie was getting to a sad part, and you were getting all teary. To be honest, you really wanted to use this situation to “flirt” with Chanwoo, but you were truly emotional and so you ended up just crying silently. But, Chanwoo decided to be somehow “cooperative” with you.
“Don’t cry.” The lad said as he suddenly wiped your tears with the hem of his sleeves.
“You’re getting your hoodie dirty!” You manage to laugh through your sobs.
“You should stop crying then, you look better when you smile!” Chanwoo laughed. He bent down and sneakily whispered to you. “Are you in a mission to piss hyung off or something?”
You laughed. hitting his arms playfully. “Oh, shut up!” When Donghyuk wasn’t looking, you looked at Chanwoo and put your finger in front of your lips. The guy giggled and nodded.
“Uh, can we come back to watching the movie, guys?” Donghyuk was smiling but you could tell how annoyed he was.
The rest of the movie just went with you and Chanwoo being all “flirty” with each other. You leaned on him when there was a sad scene, he calmed you down, and so on. Seeing Donghyuk’s face, you were about to have the best laugh after this was over. When the movie was done, Chanwoo eyed you, signaling that he was going to do something, and you nodded, but before he even started, Donghyuk spoke up.
“Chanwoo,”
“Yeah?”
“Can you leave both of us for a minute?”
“O-Okay then!” Chanwoo widened his eyes with a smile on his face as he got out of the room immediately. The lad whispered a little “fighting” to you before he went out. That bastard.
“So, what was that?”
“What was what?” You giggled.
“That thing, with Chanwoo. Are you serious?” He stopped for a while before he spoke again with a softer tone. “I mean, if you are, then I’m with you, but... Don’t you think it’s a bit rushed?”
You were so ready to hear him whine and telling how much disgusted he was seeing you flirt with Chanwoo, but instead, he looked worried and said things you didn’t expect he would.
“Whoa whoa whoa! Donghyuk!” You stopped him. “I’m not! I thought you knew I was just doing it to annoy you!”
“Oh, thank God! I mean— what? Wait, I mean— Dammit. Forget it, let’s just never bring up topics like this ever again.” Donghyuk crashed himself on the bed, ruffling his hair in frustration. after they confess to each other, there’s relieved laughter and bumping foreheads and shaking hands, and Takumi, still riding the adrenaline high, leans in and kisses Souma on the corner of his mouth, smile sloppy and honest against Souma’s skin. Souma immediately goes in for a better aimed kiss after Takumi moves away, and there’s no fireworks or popped champagne; but there’s soft sighs and melting fear and that’s enough.

i wish i could say they planned it but god damn, Souma is shit at following plans and Takumi wants/expects too much so they compromise and decide to improvise on the day itself.
so they end up with the same idea: food tour !!!! they spend the entire morning/afternoon exploring the city and all the lil alleyway stores hidden away plus visiting well known restaurant. in the late afternoon till evening they wind up resting on a park bench talking while sharing too sweet soda and too salty fries. they hold hands the entire time and share shy kisses in the shade whenever they can (it sort of becomes a game about who can sneak the most kisses during the date)
How do they feel about double dates/group dates?
sorta eh. they’re not super into the idea but not against it either? dk imo they’d prefer having personal dates but they’re open to having double dates.
What do they do in their down time?

Souma watches trash tv while Takumi reads, curled up against Souma. occasionally they’ll make comments about the other’s media of choice. (”you think that book is good? wait till you get to chapter 5″ “are you watching another rerun of csi miami??”)
together though, they enjoy going out together for walks and checking out newly opened shops (any and all types welcomed).
What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?
Jouichirou was so. so chill. a surprised blink, then shrugged and absolutely burst into a grin. “i see, i see. so what about my son attracted you, Takumi?” there’s no intimidation or anything bc he already knows Takumi is a competent, dependable and stout hearted person and chef from Central Arc, and is a better person than he ever hoped Souma could find (and spend the rest of his life with).
Toshiaki and Aurora were a lot more surprised (mainly bc Takumi was so closed off about love), though Aurora kinda...expected it. a mother’s sixth sense is hardly ever wrong, and the fluster her elder son gets into when the redhead is mentioned over the phone gives away waaay more than Takumi ever realises. Toshiaki has a quiet talk with Souma (which he testifies to be a lot more scary than his encounter with Aurora earlier in the kitchen) about Takumi, their relationship and future plans. but the couple are quick to accept Souma, it’s hard not to trust and love someone their own son loves so dearly, after all.
What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?
(barring the confession scene fight)
Souma’s wanderlust can’t be contained, and Takumi knows this. but they get engaged young (probs 21ish) and Souma is away more often and gets in contact less than Takumi likes, and it makes him uneasy and worried and he deals with this by overworking.
after too much lack of sleep nearly has Takumi collapsing in the kitchen and one sternly cold phone call by Isami later, Souma rushes back to Italy and confronts Takumi. Takumi has an outburst of more sadness and frustration (towards himself for not being able to articulate his feelings, not being able to handle anything well and not being able to trust Souma fully; “i was the one who said it was okay for you to go, how can i be so selfish as to ask you to come back as and when i want?”) than anger and Souma is fuckin heartbroken.
they end up talking a lot about the importance of communication and letting feelings out and being better fiances to each other that night.
(its not rly a fight bc i cant imagine them fighting over anything more serious than “i told you to tell me when we ran out of milk, this is the third time this month you haven’t, yukihira souma !!!” or getting angry at each other over something actually relevant like their safety or smth lolol)
Which one is more easily made jealous?
oooh this surprises a lot of people but Souma. Souma is so easily made jealous, and the best part is no one can tell? Takumi gets jealous too, but not as easily or as irritated as Souma.
Souma gets all sorts of jealous, like he’ll purposely hold the hand that that weird salesman grabbed for a little too long, snake his arm around Takumi’s waist a little too tightly when he catches someone just looking in Takumi’s direction. his attitude also does a complete 180 when he’s jealous; he’s a lot more curt and annoyed. Takumi finds this weirdly cute.
What is their favourite thing to get to eat?
this is so fuckin cliche but each other’s homecooking :”)))

Takumi is the touchy feely one !! he really likes being in contact with Souma in one way or another. fav cuddling position is curled up against Souma’s side or back against Souma’s chest, in between his legs.

YAH TOTALLY. chronic hand holders. try catching them together without holding hands. they especially like twining their fingers together.

........personally i think they slept together nearing the end of third year? after their finals, during an in between break after finals+results and before their graduation.
Isami was away for a head start in his internship with Momo, and they were alone at Takumi’s apartment. it was raining pretty badly and getting chilly, so Souma suggests sharing blankets when they’re going to bed entirely just to tease Takumi, but Takumi actually crawls under covers with him and Souma’s ?? didn’t expect that but not complaining.
they’re just quietly sitting against the wall, acutely aware of how close they are when Takumi turns to Souma and starts trying to say something but doesn’t, and Souma just kisses him, once, gently. (“just felt like it.” “oh.”) then one kiss leads to another and welp.((don’t ask takumi why he has a bottle of lube in his bedside drawer, he’ll combust and maybe die.))

the first time they ever tried to dirty talk in Italian. Souma started it and it was horrendous. Takumi couldn’t stop laughing for weeks any time he remembered it. he still can’t.

Takumi does more of the shopping (though they often do it together) and Souma cooks more !! they try to split the tasks (esp cooking) equally but there’re preferences and they lean towards it.

......Takumi. he’s actually tidy on a normal person’s standard. Souma is tidy on his own standard, which is ‘as long as i know where everything is, why does it matter that my desk looks like world war z?’
Who proposes?
Souma !! he actually hooks Shinomiya into it - getting them an isolated table at SHINO’s Tokyo for a nice dinner, then going for a short walk to a romantic and private place around the area where he can propose (as recommended by Shinomiya). Souma settles for under a willow tree near the edge of a park, and Takumi cries a lot.

never really thought about it, but they def have dogs, if that counts? two, to be exact. both adopted, one golden retriever named lemonade and a dobermann named stoic. they are aptly named after their characteristics; lemonade is bubbly and fun, stoic is, well, stoic.

Ikumi !!! after she got over Souma (pretty quickly too, near the end of her first year and realising she could do a lot better and Souma wasn’t anywhere interested in her anyway), and started figuring a lot of things about herself, she started paying a lot more attention to Megumi (it helps that they had tons of classes together in second year), because something about Megumi just...attracts people and makes them watch out for her, yknow?
her friendship with Megumi deepens quite a bit, and they even start having lunch together + instinctively looking at each other during partner/group work. she kinda...guesses that she might like Megumi but its after one really vivid dream of Megumi and her on a date later, that Ikumi actually confronts her feelings lol.

around Summer of second year, during a festival, under the fireworks. they were sitting next to each other on a grassy field, watching the fireworks flare to life noisily. with each illuminating bloom, throwing dully neon colours over the wondrous look on Megumi’s face, Ikumi finds her heart beating faster and harder.Megumi turns to comment about how pretty the fireworks are, Ikumi agrees, and kisses her softly. they break apart after a while, and there’s a little embarrassed fluster and ‘o-oh my gosh i dont know what got into me - !’ before Megumi shyly pipes up that it was nice, and she didn’t mind. they spend the rest of the fireworks show leaning against each other, their fingers curled together on their laps.

Ikumi finds herself blushing madly too, and she blurts “really??” and Megumi looks at her for a moment, before hesitantly nodding. Megumi’s fists knead into her plaid skirt, averting Ikumi’s dumbfounded stare. “i - i don’t know how to explain it, but you make me really, really happy and floaty and it’s just...i wanted you to know that you mean something special to me.” Ikumi feels like a cat has gotten her tongue. “and i - i don’t need an answer n - now -” “but i like you too !!”and then it’s a blushing fest and a spying Souma from the second floor fist pumps the air.

AMUSEMENT PARK DATE. Ikumi’s never been to one and Megumi thinks that is Abominable and Must be remedied immediately.
it’s fizzy and fun and oh boy, do they go wild. all the roller coasters, carnival snacks and rides they can go on they do. they take So Many selfies, buy the cutest matching headbands, and laugh so much their cheeks get sore.
at the end ofc they go on the ferris wheel and enjoy a romantic 45min alone, quietly appreciating the spectacular view and their girlfriend’s beauty.

Megumi really, really likes plants, but doesn’t have the confidence to have an entire veranda garden like Takumi bc of lack of experience (u should see Takumi’s veranda back in Italy) and general anxiety about it, so she keeps a few potted plants, cacti and bonsai instead !! she likes spending time trimming her bonsai or talking to them !
Ikumi dabbles in the crafts, like sewing and knitting, as a major fuck you to her dad (she can be a capable boss and feminine at the same time these things aren’t mutually exclusive). she made a few of her own outfits + Megumi’s !! in fact Megumi’s fac one piece dress was made my Ikumi :”))

Megumi’s parents were a lil surprised bc sweet lil Megumi has brought back a potential partner !! dear u will not believe this !! Ikumi made lots of effort to dress up and look proper, so they quickly warmed up to her earnest nature and really, really liked her. she left an incredibly good first impression with her personality and great conversational skills. the fishermen dudes were skeptical and protective of Megumi at first but Ikumi’s competence and care for Megumi quickly shone through and they readily accepted her. someone Megumi cares for that much has to be a good person, they reckon :”))
Ikumi’s mother really, really liked Megumi. she found Megumi’s soft spokenness and iron will really endearing, and was glad Ikumi had found someone who accepted her for all is she and even encouraged her to become a better version of herself. Ikumi’s dad was an asshole who refused to even see Megumi, because he doesn’t believe in marrying down your status. Megumi left a note with a medium rare steak (fav dish of Ikumi’s dad) she cooked, requesting that Ikumi’s mum serve this to him later on. Ikumi’s dad could sense the sincerity in Megumi’s dish, but doesn’t fully accept her till ~2-3years later.

after one particularly bad family weekend with Ikumi’s dad, Ikumi was upset that Megumi let him walk all over her like that. they fought a little, mainly Ikumi ranting about how Megumi is too soft, why shouldn’t she stand up for herself?! why should she have to stand for all this verbal abuse? (Megumi had withstood nearly the entire evening, till Ikumi’s dad sneered a comment that made Ikumi twitch uncomfortably. then she’d spoken up, softly. “please don’t speak about your own daughter this way, Mito-san. it’s highly unbecoming and irksome.” then had a staredown before Ikumi’s dad left the table w/out finishing the meal.)
Megumi manages to calm a near tears Ikumi down, and explains that its just a part of getting Ikumi’s dad to accept her, but nonetheless agrees to stick up for herself a little more.

1) How many works in progress to do you currently have?
I have 3 that I am working on that I haven’t abandoned but I have 2(?) that I’ve taken down and I’m going to prentend they never existed for a very good reason.
2) Do you/would you write fan fiction?
I do. My original shit is limited to short stories. I’m not that creative.
3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
There is nothing like the smell of a new paper book (ignoring the fact that I had an atlas a few years ago that smelt like an IKEA flat pack storage warehouse but that’s a mystery that never got solved) but I do like the convenience of eBooks on my mobile. I take my phone everywhere and when you’re already carrying 5000 things to and from uni you don’t want another book or kindle to lug around or potentially get damaged.
4) When did you start writing?
High school English kinda started me off, year 9 was poetry which I really enjoyed then in year 10 we wrote Shakespearean soliloquies and I got an A+ on mine and that was the first moment that I realised how much I loved writing. It wasn’t until a year/year and a half ago (?) that I really started writing more often for pleasure.
5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
My go to will always be @winter-is-ending. Talking with her about writing has pretty much given me the confidence to write in general and throw around ideas. Before I met her I had this small fic which was kinda eh and I was just too afraid to write in the first place, let alone post anything. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know what I would have done.
6) Where is your favorite place to write?
I have a corner couch which is so old and dead it really needs replacing tbh but it’s surrounded by blackout curtains so I’m my lounge room when no one is there and I’m curled up and warm.
7) Favorite childhood book?
Uhhhhhh too many to choose. Skulduggery Pleasant, Swallows and Amazons (I recommend it for all ages), the Study/Glass series by Maria V Snyder, Inheritance cycle by Christoper Paolini, and when I was really little the PB Bear books (DK books were how I learnt to read)
8) Writing for fun or writing for publication?
Lol definitely fun. It’d be nice if I could get published one day but the only originals I do are short stories.
9) Pen and paper or computer?
Computer. My handwriting is shit and I’m less likely to lose everything if it’s digital
10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?
