Kiri's first Ikran - Tanhì

Avatar: The High Ground

From the Wiki:

Kiri tamed Tanhì at a very young age simply by asking it to be her friend instead of using the banshee catcher.

In 2169, after the second human invasion on Pandora, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey were taken hostage and imprisoned in Hell's Gate. From there they were freed by Spider. As the children fled through the woods, Tanhì found them and landed nearby to help them get home. At that moment, however, it was shot dead by SecOps soldiers much to Kiri's horror.

Additional Info - Trivia:

Tanhì was depicted as being a green color earlier in The High Ground, but was then changed to a purple color.

James Cameron has stated that the color indigo is associated with Eywa, making it tie-into the color of Kiri's banshee.

Kiri lost her banshee to the RDA, similarly to her adoptive mother's banshee.

Kiri can be seen riding a new banshee in Avatar: The Way of Water, implying she tamed a new one after Tanhì's death.

"Tanhì" means "star" and "bioluminescent freckle" in the Na'vi language.

I MADE ACTUAL REFS FOR THE MONOLITH ROOMIES. THEY’RE DONE

I’ve technically had Etho’s done for months now, but I wanted to get Etho and Ren out at the same time because they’re species are the same and I need to explain it. I just finished Ren’s like. Two days before he got dethroned so… yeah he’s still got the cloak. I don’t care.

ANYWAYS (watch out this is gonna be a long post)

My designs for both Ren and Etho are Wolfwalkers! They’re not the same as werewolves but they’re not too far off. Wolfwalkers are “human” while they’re awake and wolves while their human bodies sleep. Their human bodies can’t wake up if their wolf bodies can’t get back to them. The specific way they work for my designs here is the same as in the film “Wolfwalkers”, so if you’ve seen that then you’re all set.

Ren was born as a Wolfwalker, as can be shown by the spotted markings under his eyes (shown on born wolfwalkers in the film) and by him just being a generally larger wolf. He’s not based on any particular species. The wolf ears on his human body aren’t actually ears! They’re genuinely just a fucked up haircut.

Etho was turned into a wolfwalker when he was young, a situation he refuses to disclose (mostly because he’s just some guy to me I physically can’t give him a tragic backstory.) This was done through a bite though, so at one point mans got bit by a big ass wolf.

Bdubs is a Druid of the woods surrounding the Tree of Whimsy. Species-wise he’s 1/4 wood elf and 3/4 something-vaguely-humanoid-it-doesn’t-matter. He’s been spray painting parts of his forest’s ruins “like the humans do”, which nobody questions, not even his forest.

(DISCLAIMER: Druids are not to be confused with Dryads. Druids are like forest wizards, whereas Dryad is another name for a tree nymph. My esmp1 + traffic Joel is a nymph.)
