Iwagakure: The Lunar Lights of Gratitude
The moon has a special place in the heart of every Iwa citizen. To them, it is a part of the earth, now observing its mother body from space. So naturally, the spectacle of a blue/super moon is a special occasion in Iwagakure. To honor and greet the moon, which is actually called "daughter" in the earth country's language, large fireworks are organized every new moon after a blue moon. As previously established, the earth country's firework industry is the largest, which Iwa shinobi are very proud of. Lighting the sky on fire and turning night into daytime is the Iwa way of giving back some of the light that the moon gives us at night.
Kirigakure: The Moonshine Sea Festival
Despite the rivalry between the land of earth and the land of water, there is one thing they have in common, which is their spiritual connection to the moon and space. To water country citizens, especially the fishermen, the moon is a protector and guardian of the night, along with the stars. They strengthen the their connection to their biggest source of both faith and fear: the sea. The special climate in the water country, combined with its great biodiversity give a great habitat for biolumescent plankton, turning the sea itself into a starry night sky. It is one of the only pieces of culture that has been preserved, since the celebration itself was founded by the water country's union of fishermen, who don't belong to a particular clan with a kekkei genkai; most of the kekkei genkai wielders in Kiri have been wiped out, along with their culture, traditions and religions.
Sunagakure: Winter's Return
The wind country is often ravaged by agonozingly hot summers, sand storms and heat waves are not a rarity in this country. While foreigners might groan and roll their eyes at the thought of the return to cold, foggy winter days, in Sunagakure it is a day for celebration. On the day where the sun stays for the longest, in the middle of the year, a large celebration is held across the nation. The way it is celebrated is different from family to family, and every Suna family is convinced that their way is the right one. Typically, markets are closed the whole day, and any missions rank B or below are halted for the day.
Kumogakure: Whale Festival of Generosity
During winter, whales can be found emigrating along the lightning country's coast line, towards the land of iron. This holiday once came to be to celebrate the whales emigration towards a more prosperous habitat to mate and provide enough food for their young - a truly generous gesture. Over the years, many kumo shinobi have forgotten the old tale behind this festival, and it has turned into more of a mere gift giving occasion. And yet, it is widely popular and celebrated throughout the whole country.
Konoha: Cherry and Plum Blossom Viewing
In Konoha, Hanami is annually celebrated. It is a custom celebrating the transitionary nature of cherry and plum blossoms blooming in spring.
BONUS: Uchiha Clan
Honoring one's ancestors and traditions is of high importance to the Uchiha. Every year, on a clear fall night, the whole clan gathers together to light up little candles using their katon. The tealights are arranged in the Uchiha crest and left to light up the night and the clan share the evening together eating dinner, drinking hot tea and praying at the nakano shrine.
That's all, folks!

I know comparatively Fourth A is such a minor character but he's so underrated. He's so damn neat. Like Kishimoto really introduced inarguably the best village with Kumo and then went "ok that's enough of that" like NO they had everything figured out! Kishimoto didn't let them do more shit because he knew they'd be too powerful

No Room to Swing (a Cat)
I have always wanted to write this rare pair and thought i would take advantage of the @narutoversevacation event to ease back into writing.
Its not much but I hope you all enjoy!
Rater: E
Kakashi/Yugito
Yugito Nii did not expect her border duty to turn into such a whirlwind.
She always got the job done, but she couldn't help the need to play games along the way to the finish line.
But what game was she playing, hers of his?
Kakashi Hatake wasn't someone she should take lightly.
Best watch her step.

Music In The Narutoverse
I think in Kirigakure, most music that can be heard originates from either the union of fishermen or monks, as many cultures have been. wiped out due to their ongoing political unrest. As for the fishermen, some popular instruments are steel drums, which can sound like this or like this. Gamelans are often played near the temples up high in the mountains, the wind carries their sound across the village. Radios aren't really used.
Iwagakure's traditional music is very percussion heavy, using various kinds of drums and gongs. They have fallen in love with the guzheng, aka the moon guitar. Another instrument originating from there is the erhu, which Kirigakure citizens also really enjoy listening to and consider a high class/fancy instrument. These are the kind of songs Iwagakure ninja can hear in their radio, Onoki's favorite is this one. High up in the mountains, sounds like these can be heard. These horns are used to communicate between different valleys.
As a stronghold of trade, Kumogakure's music has been shaped by many cultural influences. One of the more traditional instruments in Kumogakure is the cowbell/agogo bell. Kumo citizens enjoy music from all across the shinobi world, including songs in foreign languages. As a rather technologically advanced village, it is not uncommon to hear electric guitars and synthesizers be used in their music. Here are some songs I think could be heard on the Kumo radio. As for Killer Bee, here are some of his faves.
In Uzushiogakure, an instrument that could often be heard in traditional music is the anklung, as well as the t'rung. Music was often performed for the whole village, and everyone was invited.
As for many western instruments, those have originated in the Country Of Knights. This country was only mentioned in the movies, but for the sake of it, I will consider it canon as well. While their traditional music sounded somewhat like this, sounds like these here weren't uncommon as well. It was popularized by immigrants from the country of knights.
As stated before, Madara Uchiha was a skilled pianist, his sharingan allowed him to read sheet music while playing, here are some of the pieces he played. Madara often played this piece for his siblings to make them laugh.

Kumogakure Day 3 Recap
'Blizzard'
‘No Room to Swing (a Cat)' by @moonlady9
Codename: Wolf
Yugito Nii did not expect her border duty to turn into such a whirlwind. She always got the job done, but she couldn't help the need to play games along the way to the finish line. But what game was she playing, hers of his? Kakashi Hatake wasn't someone she should take lightly. Best watch her step.
‘Shoot for the Moon (To Land Among the Stars)' by @konekotaichou
Codename: Snow Leopard
Haruno Sakura is on a mission.
Officially, she’s helping Kumogakure get their hospital in order. Unofficially, she’s in Kumo to help one of her dearest friends make his dreams come true. However, being in this wintry, foreign village is taking its toll on her, and she’s about ready to give up.
Good thing the Raikage-elect is here to show her the warmth she’s been missing.

oh my goodness gracious! you like blue b too?? I thought I would never find anyone like me literally everyone in the fandom forgets he exists (and to be real I don’t blame them) but do you have any headcanons on him? like his relationship with his father/uncle or just the third raikage in general?
AHH I love Blue Bee yeah! I really wish there was more with him in the series.
I think his dynamic with the third Raikage and its parallels (and more importantly its differences) with Killer Bee and the fourth Raikage are so neat.
It can be kind of hard to analyze these characters because there's so little about them (although I think there's more added in the anime? But I don't know anything about that) buuut that just means we get more headcanons! Here are a few random thoughts I've got:
I think that Kumo has SUCH interesting dynamics what with the current Jinchūki getting to know the future.
I think that would create... a lot of complex emotions. Blue Bee seems to be a pretty kind person, but even so (and especially with Gyūki's influence) I can see that becoming a tough pill to swallow.
I just can't imagine looking this kid in the eye and knowing they're going to replace you. Being told your successor has been picked and knowing (or maybe feeling before then) that your time is running out.
And on the flip side... knowing that your burden will be passed on to this kid. There was no way for Blue Bee to know Killer Bee would connect with Gyūki so well, and because of that he likely would have believed there to be a 50/50 that it would end horribly.
I think Fourth A supported KB a lot better than Third supported BB. I think that's for a few reasons (A4 and KB being closer in age and a brothers dynamic vs A3 and BB's uncle-nephew dynamic, for example), but I think the primary reason is because A4 just... loved KB so much.
I think A4 was willing to bend the rules a lot more, and he was willing to put KB first even when he perhaps shouldn't.
BUT. I think the reason why he was able to do that was because of his earlier dynamic with BB. He knew BB well, and he was able to see where his father had succeeded with him and where he had failed. And he had heard from BB's own mouth his reflections on being a Jinchūriki. And it meant when the time came he had a background on how to help KB.
And in conclusion: while far from perfect, Kumo's system on Jinchūriki continues to be the best.
