Most of my drawings will have hints of my own headcannons but I don't remember most so I'll list whichever I do, Ex. this one I know I included MDC Fashion Designer Mari, her hair also looks like their in buns but I just wanted her pigtails poofy, if you like the buns though they can also be that. Honestly don't have much for this one but her hair is black just has a blue tint, I guess. Yeah, she's just a normal civilian and your everyday ladybug. p(^^)q

I made this design first just because I didn't like the Multi-Mouse costume so it inspired my other MLB sketches. The buns on her head and the puffed-up sleeves are supposed to be like mouse ears and her weapon is the tail jump rope in cannon but it disconnects into two whips. Her hair is a black/grey color here with no blue, and her eyes are just black and white but the iris' are heart-shaped purely because I thought it would be cute. I liked the idea of her costumes being more styled to her mother's culture than the skin-tight onesies they have. I feel the Multi-Mouse episode was really underrated and I just loved how op she was wearing All of the Miraculous at once.

Listen LadyBug is such a basic name for her and she's blessed by Tikki, plus Lady Luck just sounds better to me ok? I know she looks like a knight or something but, again, I hate those skin-tight suits. Her hair is fully blue here and put in a bun which you can see in the sketches, her hair clip/tie also has these antenna-like things that stick up which I thought were clever/cute. You can see in the first sketch how the wings work, I mean I just wanted her to have ladybug wings honestly. She can fly in them though, they aren't just decoration or anything. Her eyes are lighter blue than in the civilian sketch as I wanted to show that the magic of the Miraculous was stronger in protecting The Chosens identity by changing specifics of Chosen rather than just, 'Magic', like in the show.

I really like Lady-Noir's eyes here, they're like Chat Blanks glowing blue. She's a kitty with claws and I just really liked this design. I made her really sharp, and I think she'd be more independent and sassy as Lady-Noir. She has a lot of spikes on her and her ears would be more realistic to work shaped like this. I find it funny that I vision her to be the tallest yet she's the only one I zoomed out with when drawing so I could make her boots, making it look like she's supposed to be the smallest.

MARINETTE: LADY LUCK ERA

MLB INHERITANCE AU PT. 4

- the origin:

A new Chat Noir, dubbed "Night Watch" by the masses due to almost exclusively seen at night and doing all manners of good deeds and selfless notions for the average Parisians, popped up almost immediately after Tuxedo's retirement.

When Bridgette is set to move onto campus for university, Marinette is hellbent on moving out of their shared room and having her own space to sew and create. She begs her parents to let her move into the attic, promising to clean out the attic herself.

After her parents agree, Marinette begins to sift through the attic belongings, and sees a pair of earrings she thinks seem vaguely familiar. She puts them on, and looks at them in the mirror, but screams when Tikki pops up behind her reflection telling her the earrings suit her.

Tikki explains the last situation to Mari, and the fae's concerns and desperation as she feels Null grow stronger somewhere in the city. Tikki tells her that she's been keeping an eye on Mari through the years, and recognizes her traits that would make her an excellent Ladybug.

Marinette shuts down Tikki's proposal for heroism, telling Tikki that if Bridgette couldn't do what needed to be done, there's no way Marinette could. Tikki refuses that mindset, though cannot convince the girl further before Sabine knocks on the attic hatch.

The faerie hides in the earrings that Marinette is still wearing, as Sabine pushes through to check in Marinette's progress on the room and offer her help to look through some of her old belongings that Marinette can move.

The two go through trunks of old family heirlooms and photo albums, before Sabine looks wistfully at an old album of her and her old friends.

In the picture is Sabine, Otis, Amelie, Emilie, Tom, and Gabriel. Marinette recognizes Gabriel Agreste, and is shocked that her parents never mentioned knowing him before.

Sabine tells Mari that Tom and Gabriel used to be best friends for a long time, which introduced Amelie and Emilie to their little university friend group. She recalls their days fondly and says their connections were irreplaceable, but admits that the group hadn't done the best efforts for keeping in contact. After Emilie's health had declined, most of the group drifted apart for various personal reasons despite them all trying their best to keep in touch. Amelie and Gabriel had been unreachable since Emilie's coma and Sabine tells her daughter she wishes she could have told them all together what they meant to her.

The two go down together for dinner, but Marinette can't stop thinking about her mom's stories and the Ladybug proposal. Though when she tries to talk to Tikki in the night and following days, the faerie does not respond.

Marinette goes to school at the beginning of a new term, nearly late because of her late night cleanups of the attic, and is met with Alya, Nino, and Chloe.

Chloe had stopped her petty bullying at a much younger age, and the four of them had been a strong group since they were kids.

Walking into the building, a crowd has amassed, but as the four try to shuffle their way past, Chloe squeals and runs to plucks the person grabbing all the attention from the crowd.

Pulling Adrien Agreste out, Chloe holds his arm tight and manages to scare the crowd away. Happily pulling him along, she introduces him to the other three as her best friend since diapers.

Marinette embarrassingly realizes that she's face to face with the model she's had a crush on since she was a kid, and fumbles a greeting to him and a sweaty handshake. He doesn't seem to mind (or notice) at all, and the four go to their class to pick their seats.

Chloe gives up her front row seat with Nino for Adrien, and instead takes the empty seat behind Alya and Mari, and next to Nathanael.

Midway through class, the first akuma alarm in 2 years goes off, and the school is a mess of kids trying to escape.

Adrien disappears in the rush, and the other four make it out of the school, but Alya gets caught by the akuma on the way out. Nino and Chloe immediately run after her, but Marinette is frozen in shock and loses them in the crowd.

Running into a deserted alleyway, Marinette tries to talk with Tikki again, panicked and begging the faerie to respond and tell her what to do so she can save her friends.

Tikki seems to have woken up from a slumber, but quickly recollects herself and guides Marinette what to do. She transforms and sees Chat Noir already on the scene, as he helps her clumsy landing into the battle.

They're both nervous, but Chat helps her get her breathing under control before they turn their attention back at the fight. Trying to get a scope on the situation, Chat suggests she ask her faerie how best to deal with an akuma. Tikki tells them what she told Bri about purifying, faerie spirits, and a bit more about her Ladybug abilities.

They go about clearing the civilians out of the way first, before dealing with the akumas directly. After clearing everyone away, they see their three friends in the hands of the enemy. Before Chat Noir can step in, Ladybug confronts the akuma. She's terrified, and she's shaking, but she resolves herself in saving her friends and the civilians that are helpless. Chat watches her in awe as she faces the akuma, before the two of them manage to end the fight.

After they purify the akuma, an eerie voice begins to speak to them through their miraculous. Sounding like two voices overlapping, the voice tells them that he's coming for their miraculous, and there's nothing they can do to delay the inevitable. That he'll keep sending akuma after akuma, to create his perfect world.

After the message ends, the two evade the press, as Chat Noir leads them to a nearby rooftop to talk in private. They discuss the voice they heard, and formally introduce themselves. Before they can talk more, their miraculous begin to beep, and Chat tells her what the beeping means for their faerie's recharge. He suggests they meet up later that night to discuss more things, but Ladybug hesitates. He tells her there's no pressure, but to think about it- also telling her that it's nice to finally have a quick thinking partner beside him with the akumas coming back.

They both leave the rooftop in different directions, and she hides again to drop her transformation. Tikki tells her she's going to stay in the earrings to rest until she can eat since Marinette wants to check in on her friends, but if Marinette could maybe snag her some cookies from the bakery when they get home.

Mari reunites with Nino, Alya, and Chloe, and the three are fangirling about the superheroes encounter. Marinette hugs them, glad that they're okay. Adrien rejoins them as well, saying he had to take shelter when the attack started. School is dismissed for the rest of the day, as well as school tomorrow, as the staff has to go over more codes and emergency situations with the return of akumas.

Marinette goes home, snagging a few cookies from the bakery, and on her way upstairs, wonders how best to tell Tikki that there's bound to be a better Ladybug out there. Though she stops in her tracks when she sees that her sister is home.

She hugs her sister, and the two catch up a bit. Bridgette mentions she caught the end of the battle from the day's akuma, and asks Marinette if she saw it since it was near her school.

Marinette lies and says she was hiding, and Bri describes it to her, but surprises Marinette by singing high praises for the new Ladybug. Bridgette bittersweetly admires how the new Ladybug was terrified but still managed to pull through and save the day. Saying she can see her push through and do the right things even when they're hard- something that Scarlet couldn't do. She sees hope in the new Ladybug, and tells Marinette that whoever it was, Tikki chose well.

Before Marinette could respond, Bridgette gets a text on her phone. Blushing at the notification, Bridgette gathers the last stuff she came to pick up. Hugging Mari goodbye, she's out the door with promises of seeing her on the weekend for dinner, leaving Marinette alone in the room to think about what she said.

After dinner, Marinette goes to her new room in the attic, and hesitantly brings Tikki out. Recharged from the cookies earlier, Tikki brings up the Chat's proposal from earlier to meet up. Her earlier thoughts of turning the Ladybug role down conflict with her sister's words, and she ultimately agrees to transform and meet her new partner. Though as she transforms and leaves through the upper balcony, she doesn't notice her dad, who came up to ask her about school, poking out from the attic hatch. He watches the balcony hatch a bit after she leaves before going into the kitchen.

She meets up with Night Watch, who admits to doubting a bit if she'd come.

"You came"

"That's what good partners do, right?"

The two discuss things like patrol schedules, and Chat catches her up on a lot of things he would do while transformed. He tells her he had contact with the previous holder and a mentor, and asked if she did as well, to which she sheepishly denied. Chat tells her not to worry, telling her that her fae will tell her a lot too, but that her black cat partner will always be there for her. She rolls her eyes at whatever puns and flirts he makes but offers him a grin at that, pushing her fist out for a fist bump. He returns it.

As she comes home, and drops her transformation, she finds the attic hatch open, and her dad humming in the kitchen below. Seeing her at the hatch, Tom smiles and motions for his daughter to join him in the otherwise empty kitchen.

As she sits down, he pulls. A fresh batch of cookies from the stovetop, telling her they just finished cooling. Marinette laughs and eats one, but freezes when her dad asks if Tikki would like some too. At her reaction, he gives a warm, but concerned smile, and tells her he knows it's the faerie's favorite.

Tikki comes out of the earrings, and faces Tom. She tries to explain why she hadn't left, but he stops her. Telling both Tikki and Marinette that he knows what responsibilities lie in waiting for Ladybug- and how their biggest downfall is them taking on too many things by themselves.

He knows he can't help in the ways he wants to as a father, but tells Marinette that she has him at home, a partner in the Black Cat, and someone he wants her to see the next day since she doesn't have school. He reassures her that they're never alone, and has a team by her side. Marinette and Tikki both wrap Tom in an embrace as all three eat the cookies.

The next day, Tom takes Marinette to her Uncle Fu's shop, confusing the girl. She's been there a million times, and voices her confusion to her father, who laughs it off and tells her to follow him inside.

There, they see Fu, who smiles knowingly and greets the family friends before closing up the shop. He calls Wayzz out, and tells the two to follow him to the back of the shop to discuss recent developments and mentions that he hears Marinette is in the market for a mentor.

Meanwhile, Adrien is happy he's made new friends, his ability to finally go to public school, and his amazing new hero partner.

Though back in his room, he voices to Plagg his concerns about his father: mostly about how distant he has become- as he barely speaks to Adrien anymore and makes Nathalie do any interacting with the boy. Noting that even when Gabriel does talk to him, his voice is cold and monotone; nothing like the father he knew before who- even at his lowest- would make sure to spend time with his son.

Adrien resolves himself to do his best for his father, hopeful that the Gabriel he knew will come back some day to them.

I'm struggling to crack 17k on Cosmic Basic. I can't tell if I'm too powerful or what. My core team is: Dorm Vil, 107, 10/10/10 spells, all buddies maxed Dorm Leona 90, 10/10 spells, all buddies maxed Dorm Epel, 84, 10/10 spells, all buddies maxed Dorm Rook 95, 10/10 spells, Epel maxed, Lilia at 9. I've tried using Groom Lilia (73, 10/10 spells), dorm Jade (80, 5/5 spells) and Birthday Jack (80, 5/5 spells). I have Dorm Jack (90 5/10 spells) but worried he might be too strong, I'm struggling to NOT over kill but most attempts end during round 3 or first turn round 4. I also have Harveston Epel (88, 5/10 spells) and Camp Trey (85, 10/10 spells). I tried using them and despite all the advice saying Harveston Epel is great for Cosmic I couldn't get better than 15k. I just don't understand what cosmic wants from me, I thought we needed strong cosmic attackers, yet I got a better score using the Dorm Vil/Leona/Epel/Rook. I'm starting to feel like I've wasted resources. Please help?

Yikes! Cosmic basic test is literally the unwanted guest whenever it comes around. Like, read the room already, nobody likes you fr 😭

Since you didn’t mention Bday Suit Lilia, I'm guessing you don’t have him? It’s important to have a 5 duo team to get the most pts in cosmic basic test, but besides that, you also gotta rely on #RNGesus unfortunately 😔

Honestly think it’s the lack of a 5th duo that’s holding you back right now! (and a stronger Dorm Rook will always help!) So I wouldn’t say your team is too strong per se for this exam since my team is not much different from yours (DormRook[104 10/10], DormEpel[85 5/10], DormLeona[100 10/10], DormVil[95 10/10] and B.dayLilia[76 1/5] 5 DUOs) and managed to get SS (17.3k+) on the first 5 tries, but lady-luck wasn’t on my side after that. It’s especially more finicky this time round ‘cause of the HP bar and well…Leona heals on questionable turms (T1) or just doesn't at all! Sheesh. Talk about uncooperative. SO on brand

What other SSRs do you have? There are other team comps that can get you SS but on a basis, you really gotta MLB at least your finisher (lv110 preferably) and have 5 duos for the team.

An example of a different team I saw that got SS (17.2k+) had DormRiddle[110], DormAzul[100+], DormCater, DormTrey, and Grooms Ace[100], but that's a lot of mlb cards 😣

Harveston Epel is the literal goat 🐐 on cosmic basic tests, 😎 especially if you want a shot at getting SSS in the future!

With the current EN cards available, a team with these guys would easily get you SS if you can limit break him further(MLB preferably!):

Dorm Jamil Dorm Kalim Dorm Idia Dorm Ortho Haveston Epel

So don’t worry! You didn’t waste resources by working on him 💪 I mean the #legends that cracked SSS on JP all use Harveston Epel as their finisher! Although their teams all have one card that’s not avail on EN atm. Which is Masquerade Idia, so just keep that in mind for your further pulls 😉

I decided to create my own Lego MLB sets. So far I plan to convert 41684 Grand Hotel in Agreste mansion, 41702 into Couffines houseboat and 41427 into Marinette home. ( Nobody is gonna convince me that they weren't at least inspired by MLB. Corner house with clothes making equipment and balcony, a dark rooftop with circular window and deck with instruments, plants and fairy lights). 1/2

2/2 I have idea how to make civilians and heroes, but which akumas/amoks I should try to make/have most interesting designs? (Mime and Darkblade are one of the simplest to make, and I already decided to make Stormy Weather as she was in one of the first episodes I watched.)

That's really impressive and I certainly wish you the best of luck in this project! I would really love to see how it turns out.

As for akumas and amoks....I imagine ones like Silencer, Lady Wifi, Evilustrator, and Gamer would be fairly straightforward to make. Dark Cupid would likely take more work. And yes, I very much would also like to see a Stormy Weather one.

Though I would really like to see how Riposte would work as a Lego as well, given her sword arm. And Ikari Gozen may be a challenge...

What secenes do you think you just can’t write for specific episodes in fanfic for mlb? Like how in lady luck, you completely rewrote the napkin scene. For me, its just the train scene in queen wasp, because I don’t think I could write chloe redemption if I kept that part of chloe’s mental breakdown. I’m still 5inking of something she could do thats less murdery to replace it with instead.

You'd think the train scene would bother me more, but considering it's a cartoon and I've had characters who did the same or worse and get a redemption arc in other shows' Canon, I kind of just. Slide it into the 'okay let's suspend our disbelief' category.

I did rewrite it once to where instead of the train she tried to stop a bank robbery that happened to be in progress.

Opening Bell: May 10th, 2023

If you’re curious about the prices of hot dogs and beers across 28 of 30 MLB ballparks (what are you trying to hide, Cubs and Rays???), and you’d like to learn this information via a seizure-inducing website, well, you’re in luck! Did I include this baseball-related story mainly as a flimsy pretense to use that incredible pic of Akil Baddoo being drilled in the dick and balls by a throw while trying to swipe a bag the other night as the header image? I think you know the answer. I do have a lot of sympathy for young Akil, as I’ve also dealt with genital discomfort caused by a disastrous attempt at reaching second base.

It really doesn’t seem like it should be this easy to steal a machine gun from a shooting range.

Few things bring me more glee than celebrity impersonators who look nothing like the celebrities they’re impersonating.

Social media freaks capitalizing on America’s love of true crime by “investigating” cold cases for clout was inevitable, but it’s still wicked annoying. For the record, I consume my fair share of shitty murder documentaries, so it’s not like I can throw too many stones here.

Unsurprisingly, Texas is straight-up kicking mask-wearers out of public schools.

It seems like an Australian reality TV star may have faked her own death. Bold gambit; I respect it.

Finally, in defense of this lady, how was she supposed to write a hit children’s book about grief if her husband was still alive? It’s like people don’t appreciate commitment and artistic integrity anymore.

Don’t judge me I just wanted to try this idea out and haven’t written in a while

MLB universe has a new akumatized person, but Paris isn’t suffering the consequences.

Chat noir froze and looked over to Ladybug.

“Did she just say… she had a solution to her problem? Like?? That’s what the akumatized power does…

-it gives you hope… “ ladybug finished, looking perplexed. The akumatized victim had already scattered and they couldn’t follow them just yet. Having wanted to identify the damage done, the duo had tried to comprehend the powers that had been given by Hawkmoth but this made no sense. The villain hadn’t even tried fighting! Just ran the secknd they showed up. Chat noir looked towars the affected crowd and found them chatting amiably… almost like all the barriers that keep people separate had vanished. The boy inside the suit felt his heart shift at the sight, how could someone evil make this his disciple’s superpower?

“What is going to happen if we catch and de-akumatize them…?

-we dont have a choice Chat noir..” ladybug answered morosely. She seemed downtrodden at the sight and maybe she was already grieving the atmosphere of openness. Paris had never been welcoming.

The next few days proved even more frustrating for the duo as they tried to at least confront the akumatized person with no such luck. They kept striking and slowly Paris was transforming into a rosy-attitude of a city. Something even the news seemed baffled to call the effects of Hawkmoth’s akuma. The duo did finally corner the victim… but it din’t assuage their guilt.

“Well… I guess this was bound to happen. Call me Buck!

-You seem awfully cheery, given the situation, Chat responded, rather somberly.

-We need to talk. What are you doing to our city? How is any of this helping Hawkmoth?” Ladybug didnt waste time, too frustrated and sleep deprived to attempt niceties.

Just then, looking in the eyes of the akuma victim, both Ladybug and chat noir felt an immense wave of sadness wash over them and the duo gasped, grabbing each other to keep steady.

“My power doesn’t reside in what I did to them… I tak their negative emotions away-

-And giv them to Hawkmoth to weaponize? Grunted Ladybug, temporarily horrfied.

-And I keep it! I would never let him have that power. The deal is I’m supposed to use them to render Paris and you so… incapacitated that he can control it but I’ve been ignoring him enough that I can do this instead!” Tears started streaming down the victim’s face and Chat noir made the mistake of staring at Buck’s eyes again, feeling all those negative emotions slam into him for a bare second.

He grasped at Ladybug and distracted her enough that Buck started running, but the duo couldn’t follow. Chat Noir kept gasping in his lady’s arms until the overwhelming feelings left and he was left with himself again.

“What’s wrong Chat??

-If this is the weight of the negative emotions buck’s feeling, how are they still standing?”

Ladybug stared at her partner’s teary face and realized that however horrible that split-second staring at their new villain’s eyes was, the akuma-victim was feeling them constantly and had been for days. She shuddered at the thought of shouldering so many burdens.

Well there’s quite a bit to work with here. This is actually pretty good as is aside from Soak-kie. Your main DPS has I.I. on his NP so her main contributionnif sure hit support is nostly redundant, and her Archer gather heavily conflicts with Bunyan and Mori’s desire to buster Crit. I would reccomend keeping regular Weebat but replacing Soakkie with Chen. I’ll get to why later.

Now assuming we don’t NEED to stick to the themed CE’s, there’s a really potential powerful frontline with Mori, Bunyan, and Jinako. Thevother units will be situationally swapped around but those three are probably the best core, especially given their classes. Giving Jinako either Fox-weebat CE for the regen and damage cut, or that Amazonness Spa for np and star regen, would both be perfect for making her a hard-tank or even a triple hybrid of tank-dps-support. Mori will be a massive dps so long as someone else is keeping his glass cannon self from being shattered, and Bunyan both helps create Buster chains and acts as great offensive support. Bunyan’s CE is basically up to you, it could be a buster 2k attack CE, 2030 for the star gen, or (if you’re lucky enough to have one) a taunt/on-death CE.

If it’s a shorter damage race, you could give Kscope to mori and swap Jinako with Weebat for her massive def down, battery, and crit support. Though, having MLB kscope means you’re open to all sorts of options with how you use starting gauge CEs and Weebat’s battery. Chen could be frontline as well, as he allows for targeted sacrifices that can combine with star bomb CE’s and his Zerker-Creation and Mori’s star gather for big numbers.

Now in the long term, keep order change on hand and go for Support Merlin. Your DPS revolves around Mori or Bunyan depending on how valuable AOE is and/or whether Bunyan’s triple buster deck is preferable. The remaining DPS and Weebat go in the backline to fall back on when someone inevitably gets worn down. Chen could be in the front or back depending on how quickly you want to burn through him. I’d put him up front, target focus and defense buff Jinako, and swap him with Merlin after you can pop off his Zerker Creation at an opportune moment. Make sure to wait until after he’s gone to pop off Jinako’s star gen skill though.

Example of short term burst:

Mori with Guda5 CE/Partake With the King/etc or just Kscope

Chen with 2030

Bunyan with on-death/bondCE

Weebat with Hide Hunter

Turn 1 bunyan pops skills and gets TF. Deoenfing on command cards, use Mori’s command cards to build up his attack buffs

Turn 2 weebat comes in with star bomb

Pop everyone’s skills, watch Mori nuke them.

Your bunyan is fully raised in her HP so that might require a taunt CE instead on her and an additional startup turn since chen will get you that additional TF on her. More chance though to build up Mori’s facecard so his NP can go first and still get all the attack buffs. It’d also require luck with when you get Mori’s buster’s obviously, but it’s easy to reset since it’s 2-3 turn setup.

Example of long term setup:

Jinako with Amazoness Spa or Foxy Lady

Chen with 2030

Mori with Aerial Drive/Bunyan with Guda5 CE

Weebat with…a lot works actually. 2030, Prima Cosmos, Amazoness Spa, Demonic Bodhisattva, Hide Hunter, Chaldea Lifesavers, Outrage, go with whatever yoo have that provides the most utility for that fight

Support Merlin ideally with 2030 or Kscope/MLB imaginary Element.

Your focus would be building up arts chains to keep Jinako popping off her NP as often as possible, using Chen’s target focus to keep it on her for an extra turn (ideally while her own is on cooldown) and of course boosting her defense, before swapping him for Merlin to keep ramping up the NP and star gain, all the while Mori/bunyan chipping away. Mori has the advantage of easier arts chains but the disadvantage of how hard it’ll be to properly time his mental corruption, whereas Bunyan is easier to support but has less raw damage potential unless it’s an AOE oriented fight.

One last thing to note about longer fights is that Grudge Match, or if you have it even better would be Divine Three Legged Race, would actually be way better on Mori than your go to buster CEs because of his 2 buster deck, the guts for insurance, and the way buff efficacy falls off at a certain point.
