Lamborghini Sián Roadster

Just 19 examples of the Sián Roadster will be built and all have been sold already. Like the striking hard-top Sian revealed at Frankfurt Motor Show, the Roadster takes the bulk of its power – some 774bhp – from an uprated version of the Aventador’s naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 and features a 34bhp 48V electric motor integrated into the gearbox for zero-emission low-speed manoeuvres. The electric motor is also used to flatten the Sián’s acceleration curve, kicking in to provide torque fill that mitigates the effects of deceleration during gearchanges. An added benefit of this, Lamborghini says, is that “the pilot will feel only the pull backward of acceleration, eliminating uncomfortable jerking movements”.As a result, the Sián Roadster is claimed to dispatch the 0-62mph sprint quicker than the conventionally powered Aventador SVJ Roadster’s 2.9sec and its top speed is pegged at more than 217mph. A weight figure of under 1650kg is claimed, although we have no indication yet of how much heavier the hard-top is for comparison.At the reveal of the hard-top, Lamborghini claimed that the addition of an electric element to the V12 motor has not affected the powertrain’s trademark sound. Both versions of the Sián can call upon a supercapacitor power storage unit - said to store 10 times more power than a conventional lithium ion battery - to provide instant torque boosts at will while travelling at speeds of up to 81mph. The device, evolved from that used to power the Aventador’s starter motor, weighs just 34kg, giving a power-to-weight ratio of 1bhp per 1kg and ensuring minimal impact on performance. Symmetric power flow means it charges using energy recovered under braking at the same rate as discharging, providing maximum efficiency.

The Sián’s trademark design features are carried over unaltered, including the six Countach-inspired brake lights, hexagonal exhaust exits, Y-shaped headlights and gaping air intakes at the front and side.

Also featured are heat-sensitive cooling vanes on the rear deck that rotate according to the engine temperature, aerodynamic ‘airstreamers’ at the rear and a retractable spoiler that sits flush with the engine lid while the car is stationary. According to Lamborghini, removing the roof has had no effect on the Sián’s aerodynamic efficiency.

Chapter Two - Proving Her Worth

Oscar Piastri worked for a criminal organisation. It wasn't the life he wanted, wasn't the life he had chosen for himself. But, like those before him, he didn't have any other choice.

He was just a rookie in the Verstappen organisation. He got stuck with the shitty jobs, like watching over Verstappens latest intake, a petty criminal who makes stealing cars look hot.

The man with the rings on his hands let go of her. She glanced at Verstappen just once before striding into the garage. Show me what you got, Verstappen had said. So, she was going to do just that.

The classics would have been easier to get open, Y/N thought as she picked up a tool that would allow her to open any of the cars with no problem.

She walked over to the super car, the Lamborghini Sián, and worked to get it open. It didn't take her very long, a minute at most, but she knew she could get it done quicker. If only she didn't have so many goddamn eyes on her.

Slow claps came from the other side of the garage. Verstappen strode over and came to stand in front of the car. "Start the car," he said as Y/N opened the door.

He kept his eyes on her as she climbed into the car. She'd never been in a car as impressive as this one. It wasn't as easy as the one she'd hotwired earlier in the night, but she got it done, started the car and revved the engine. Not going anywhere, not when one of the most powerful men in the city, maybe the country, was leaning against it.

She killed the engine and climbed out of the car.

"That was impressive," said Verstappen as he locked the car once again. Y/N just kept staring at him, not quite knowing what to do next. "I want to hire you," he suddenly said. "Put your talents to good use."

Oh no. Oh fuck, oh no.

But then she thought. She thought hard. Maybe there was an angle to this, a way she could use Verstappen to pay off her debts.

"If I work for you, what will I be paid?"

But Verstappen only laughed at that statement. The man with the rings began laughing too. "Do you hear that, Charles?" Verstappen called the to the ringed man. "She thinks she's going to be getting paid!" But the laugher stopped and the smile dropped from his face. "You will be working for food, shelter and protection from the police only."

Shaking her head, Y/N leaned against the Lamborghini. The very expensive Lamborghini. "Sorry, Verstappen, but that just won't do." She checked her nails, picking out the dirt that lay beneath. "But, I suppose I could take my services to another boss. Maybe Hamilton needs my services."

Her heart pounded in her chest as she said it. It was a gamble, a real gamble. Even mentioning Hamilton was risky.

But it paid off. Because Verstappen couldn't have somebody with her talents working for the likes of Hamilton. "Fine," he said quickly and she moved away from the Lamborghini. "Food, shelter, protection, and minimum wage."

She nodded her head and the ringed man walked off. Verstappen let a sinister smile cross her face. "Perfect. I'll have my cars moved to a different storage facility and this can be your work place."

"And what do you actually want me to do?" She asked as the ringed man, Charles, walked into the garage once again, this time with another man behind him. She glanced to the side, just briefly looking at this new persons face.

She recognised it instantly. He was the one who had put the bag over her head, with his dark, pretty eyes and soft lips.

"You'll have Oscar looking after you," Verstappen said, waving the new person over.

Oscar let out a huff. It was only small and Verstappen seemed to not notice as he walked over. "Yes boss?" He asked, staring directly at Y/N, at the girl he had just kidnapped.

Verstappen placed his hand on Oscar's shoulder and moved him forward. It wasn't quite a push, just slightly more gentle than that. "I want you to look out for our new car jacker. Show her to her new room and get her started fixing Pierre's car," he said.

With that, Verstappen walked out of the garage with Charles, leaving Y/N and Oscar to it. "What's your name?" He asked as she looked around at each and every car Verstappen had in the garage.

"Doesn't matter," she said as she looked through the window of an older Porsche 911. She let out a low whistle, moving onto the next car.

Oscar couldn't stop the look that crossed over his face. His eyebrows crunched together and he wore this sort of snarping frown, lip curling, sure Verstappen was punishing him for something.

She clapped her hands together and turned towards him. "Right, Oscar," she began, using his name just to toy with him. "Where's Pierre's car?"

"Out in front of the garage," he said.

Y/N grabbed polish, cloth and sandpaper while Oscar opened up the garage, revealing the car that she had scratched. She walked out of the garage and over to the car. She let out a low whistle, observing the damage. "I actually feel sorry for it," she said, referring to the car as she began cleaning the area around the scratch.

Oscar watched, leaning against the garage wall, as Y/N walked. She pulled her lips between her teeth as she sanded down and buffed out the scratch. "I'll have to get some touch up paint tomorrow," she said as she went around to the other side of the car.

But Oscar shook his head. "Boss isn't going to be happy with that," he said.

She waved him off as she worked on the opposite side of the door. Oscar couldn't see what she was doing; he just had to trust she was actually working on the car and not pulling out some concealed weapon or something. And trust wasn't something Oscar came by easily.

"It's fine," she said as he walked over to the other side of the car. "I'll give it a proper tune up. This Pierre guy won't believe how nice his car is going to run," she said as she put the last of the polish on the car.

"Okay," Oscar said as he sighed through his nose. He took Y/N back through the garage, showing her to where Max kept the car jack.

He was silent as he watched her jack up the car. Taking some tools with her, she climbed beneath and took a lot.

She was under the car for maybe a minute before she emerged, a package of white powder in her hands. "Uh, Oscar?

Oscar hissed under his breath as he took the white package from her. "Fucking Hamilton," he hissed and tucked it under his arm. "Come on," he said and began walking away from the car.

At first, Y/N didn't go with him. Why should she? He wasn't the boss of her. But, as she went to get back beneath the car, Oscar grabbed a hold of her arm and dragged her after him. He was a lot stronger than he looked, she realised as he dragged her back inside.

There was no way Oscar was leaving her on her own. Not while at the compound anyway. Because that's what it was, a compound. Gates surrounded several large buildings, each built for the purpose of housing Verstappen's men, weapons and vehicles.

Oscar took her along the corridor and up several flights of stairs. The stairwell had men on different levels, each of them smoking out of the window, too lazy to go all the way downstairs for a cigarette.

At the very top floor, Oscar took her along another corridor. He took her to the furthest room and knocked on the door.

Oscar stood patiently as he waited to be allowed into the room. Y/N, though, she wasn't so patient. She leaned against the wall, staring at Oscar as they waited. After a good minute and a half, she tipped her head back, hitting the wall. "What's taking so long?" She complained, looking at the dim lights overhead.

"He's Verstappen," he began. "He'll call us in when he's ready."

At last, Verstappen called them in. Oscar strode into the room, with Y/N following closely, and threw the large bag of cocaine onto his desk. "Sorry to bother you, sir," he began, "but she found this under Pierre's car."

There was a moment were Verstappen just stared at the cocaine. He picked up the bag, felt the weight of it, and passed it to Charles, the man stood behind him. "Under Pierre's car?" Verstappen repeated.

Y/N stepped forward, getting in Oscar's way. "Taped to the bottom of it, actually," she said with a grin and stepped back again.

Suddenly, Verstappen let out a laugh. "That bastard Hamilton doesn't know I control the police," he said. "He really thinks he can get my men arrested."

His eyes moved from the bag of drugs to the girl standing in his office. "You're proving your worth already. Well done..."

"Y/N," she said, standing tall and proud. "My name's Y/N."

A pretty name, thought Oscar as he spared a glance at her. But that didn't matter. Where she was proving her usefulness to Verstappen, she was proving to be a pain in the ass to Oscar.

"Oscar, show her where she's sleeping and put Pierre's car in the garage," Verstappen said and went back to what he was doing before Y/N and Oscar interrupted.

Oscar gritted his teeth.

task force 141 + christmas wishlists

rodolfo "rudy" parra:

alright so i mentioned this in my stocking stuffers headcanon but we're gonna go in more depth here

rudy's christmas wishlist is really just legos

but like big, expensive lego sets

like i said then, he always compiles a big list of sets he wants each year

this year he's obsessed with the technic/vehicle sets

he got the vespa set for his birthday so that one was crossed off the list

and now he's looking to collect all the ferrari sets

last year he nabbed the ferrari 488 gte "af course #1"

and this year he wants the ferrari daytona sp3

he really likes the technic sets because their like a harder version of the normal lego sets

plus they're a lot more durable which is important to him

he has all his lego sets lined up on shelves around his apartment

and he already has a shelf of lego vehicles

which currently includes the ferrari 488, the vespa, and the lamborghini sián fkp 37 (he bought that for himself after he got a pay raise)

and ofc once he gets all his luxury cars/racecars collected, he plans on moving onto the classic cars collection

john "soap" mactavish:

alright so idk why this headcanon brings me so much joy but it does

but soap really really really wants a dirt bike for christmas

he rode one during a mission around summer time

and ever since then he won't stop raving about how cool it was

if we're being honest he wasn't that good at it

but honestly that just motivated him even more because now he wants one so he can get better at riding it

he wants to be able to do all those crazy flips and tricks they do

and he spends soooo much time researching bikes and watching videos of the tricks

he also doesn't even know when he would get the chance to use it

or where he would practice

since his house is not exactly near prime dirt biking terrain

but he insists he'll figure something out

his dream is definitely the yz250

he just thinks it looks so cool and sleek

but it's like ~$7000 so he doesn't have his hopes up

would definitely implode if he got it tho

john price:

alright so for christmas price really wants a weighted heated blanket

i mean can you blame him?

it gets pretty cold up in his cabin and he just wants to be able to be all warm and cozy

he honestly didn't even realize it was a thing until gaz told him about it

and now he won't stop talking about it

like he keeps hinting about how he wants it

saying things like "god it's cold in here, a nice heated blanket would be great huh?" or "my blanket is getting so thin, one of those weighted blankets would be insane huh?"

what can i say he really wants one

but he also doesn't wanna spend like $100 on one

which is why he's being so coy about it

besides a weighted heated blanket price wants cigars

i mean he always wants cigars but he wants them as a christmas gift this time

he wants really fancy ones that are really high quality

honestly his ideal holiday evening is him on the couch, with warm socks, a tea, a cigar, and his weighted heated blanket and a nice movie on the tv

simon "ghost" riley:

this year (and every year really) simon wants books for christmas

he's a fan of classic literature so he really just wants paperbacks of all the classics

paperback because it's easier to bring on missions

like i said in one of my past headcanons, i think simon was definitely an english literature major in college

so he definitely has a lot of books already

but let's be real you can never have too many books

the books on his wishlist this year include the metamorphosis by franz kafka, journey to the center of the earth by jules verne, and the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde

okay we're gonna go off on a tangent here

but simon secretly wants to open up a bookstore when he retires

except, and this is gonna get kinda sad here, he knows it's ultimately just a pipe dream bc the chances of him retiring are really slim

yk since he's more likely to be killed in action...

but he still likes the idea of it in case he does make it out of the military alive

kyle "gaz" garrick:

alright so for christmas gaz wants new headphones and a speaker

gaz just lives his life with a soundtrack in the background what can i say

he loves listening to music whenever he can

whether he's working or training or in the shower

i like to think that he used to actually have a really nice set of earbuds

and he usually keeps them in one of the pockets of his uniform

but when he fell out of that helicopter he lost his earbuds

and he was absolutely devastated too because they were so nice

but this time around he wants headphones so that he can really take advantage of the noise cancelling feature

probably not the smartest option considering he's in the military but yk what sometimes gaz just needs a break from the outside and honestly who doesn't?

he also has a really nice speaker but then soap broke it

gaz had it next to him on the couch while he was watching tv or smthing

and then soap sorta hopped over the back of the couch to sit next to him

and then sat straight on the speaker

and since the couch at the base sucks and is therefore pretty hard

plus the fact that soap is probably like over two hundred pounds of muscle

the speaker really had no chance

so yeah gaz really just wants his music back for christmas

and off topic but he's into a lot of oldish hip hop/rap rn

like the notorious b.i.g., ice cube, 2pac, dr. dre

yk sorta like the classics
