Homeless LGBT Couple Needs Help!

Hello everyone.

My partner and I have been homeless for a bit and we recently had to move cities after losing employment. We have been struggling to keep sheltered as the weather gets colder and wetter and, with me being increasingly ill, we need all the help we can get to meet our basic needs. We have no food and we are struggling day to day to cover bills and shelter costs while we look for work. I can't do this without help and my mental health is crashing in a big way so any help is greatly appreciated. I'm really running out of steam here.

i managed to float on what little i could save up & what bit of help i've gotten (thank you so much to all who've donated!) for the past 2.5 months, & i finally had some kind of employment lined up to start tomorrow, but it fell through, which means i have no way to pay march rent.

i have applied to 171 jobs in the past 3 days, but given the 180 i've already applied to in the last couple of months have yielded very little response, i'm not getting my hopes up.

Homeless LGBT Mutual Aid - Birthday Edition!

Hello everyone, it's my birthday (November 7th)!

My little family and I have been homeless these last three years and, even when we were both bringing in money, we couldn't make enough to get approved for housing where we were living. Last month, after I lost employment, we were forced to put together what little we had and left for a new, more affordable city. Unfortunately, it's been a struggle getting basic needs set up and we haven't yet found a place to stay, so we need help getting by while I try and find work. We are still homeless and it's been incredibly cold/rainy/snowy these last few weeks and, since I'm still sick, I can't afford to be without shelter.

It's my birthday this month and what I would love more than anything right now is some peace of mind, a hot meal that isn't fast food, and something warm to wear as the weather gets colder. I'm overwhelmed with bills and it's a constant struggle to keep ourselves safe in a motel. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated, as well as kind words to get us through. Help a queer household of six avoid eviction!

If I could have a moment of your time, my best friend Hannah was kicked out of her home in March. Thankfully, we were able to relocate her to a room in Philly, however the landlord is threatening eviction for all of the 6 people in the house (6!!!) because one of the housemates has been unable to make payments for a few months. We are trying to raise $1,300 to pay for the outstanding charges so that they can all keep living in peace. Hannah has already been through so much these past two months, please help us make sure she doesn't have to move twice in a month! Hi, I'm too shy to ask for help on my main so I'm posting this here. You can call me Joey, I'm a 21 year old disabled hispanic gay trans guy living in Tennessee and use he/him pronouns.

I just recently moved out of my transphobic father's house and into an apartment with my boyfriend and his roommate and the cost of transportation and bills mean that my bank account has been completely decimated for possibly the next year or so while I try to look for a new job. I have extreme chest dysphoria and I want to get top surgery as quickly as possible. The surgeon I'm most likely to go with is in Tampa, FL and charges ~$12000 for the keyhole method and plane tickets will be approximately another $400. There is no way for me to make enough money in such a short amount of time, and thinking of having to wait any longer for the procedure has me on the verge of suicide.

alright, i need to scream for a minute. this is like 25% a mutual aid post and 75% i am going through it and need to vent my ungodly rage at corporate bureaucracy

so, for context, i have two supervisors, i’ll call them supervisor a and supervisor m. supervisor m is a delight to work with, she was able to help me get a good placement, albeit not one with an incredible pay rate, she always picks up calls, and is just generally polite to work with. supervisor a, on the other hand, complete opposite. just a massive pain in the ass. completely and totally insufferable. always sounds like he’s mad that i, a lowly employee, have the audacity to ask him for something like a site placement or, god forbid, the money i’m owed. the only “placement” he gave me was the one that decided that they didn’t fucking want me literally the day of training, and in order to contact him, i had to call several times a day for a week and a half just to get him to pick up. the one time he did actually pick up, he was on the road and told me he’d call me back in half an hour. didn’t hear from him for over a week.

during the failed placement supervisor a gave me, the site manager promised me wages for the time i had spent on site. that was a few weeks ago, and i still haven’t seen a cent of it. i talked to supervisor m about it, but unfortunately, supervisor m doesn’t have any sway over payroll. that’s entire supervisor a’s department. try to contact him repeatedly, doesn’t even pick up. i was on a call with supervisor m a few days ago, and along with some other questions, i asked her if she could tell supervisor a to please give me a call, which she says okay to. several days go by, and i get a call from him yesterday afternoon. i think, hey, he’s finally calling me to help resolve that payroll issue!

nope. he’s calling me to tell me that, due to having been inactive for over a month (i was out of state for a few months bc i was home from university, and unlike the state my university’s in, my home state requires a license to operate), my previous manager had put a temporary termination on me as an employee; basically, though i wasn’t fired, i was technically no longer an employee. what this means is that i need updated fingerprinting and background check paperwork. essentially, even though i had my first weekend last weekend, i can’t work this weekend, or until he’s able to actually get that in order, and, given how fucking great he is at being prompt, god only knows when that’s happening. i asked him to send me the info for the location, still hasn’t done that so i get to hound him again today. cool.

while i’m on the call, i bring up the payroll discrepancy. he fucking plays dumb with me, acts confused as to what i’m talking about. i tell him that the site manager at the location he’d sent me to had promised me wages for the five and a half hours i’d been there for training. i had to remind him in no uncertain terms that yes, i had been on site working for several hours, which i hadn’t seen a cent of payment for. here i am, a broke college student, arguing for my pay with a supervisor of a several billion dollar multi-national. it’s not even a hundred dollars i’m trying to get here, pennies in his book, but for me, it’s half a monthly car payment. it’s food. it’s what i need to fucking scrape by. eventually after several minutes, he just says he’ll get me the pay for it, and then hangs up.

i had to fight for several WEEKS to get a payment of less than $100.

i’m so fucking tired.

sorry for the long post. i’d love to go back to posting fun horny shit once i’m a little less keyed up.

Hello serious post time but me and my partner ( @ciceroandthelistener ) are trying to leave our home state because of all the anti trans laws currently in effect (including it being illegal for us to use the bathroom of our chosen gender [though this has no penalty as of right now], no gender marker changes on licenses/ids, and minors aren’t allowed to access gender affirming care) and our jobs kind of makes it impossible to do anything besides barely survive so I’ve created a GoFundMe and any amount of sharing/donating helps.
