the half-dragon byakuya togami
the winner of the togami heir competition, and the only heir in history to have significant human lineage and mostly human form
horns were intentionally sheared short when he was young because they were growing asymmetrically, but now they're taking too long to grow back. typically hidden by his hair. is using horn extenders to make his lineage more obvious
has scales on his face and fast-growing claws but otherwise has very few dragonic features. would like to be able to grow into these features quickly to reinforce his place as heir
grew up too fast compared to humans and too slow compared to dragons so he's not very well-versed in human or dragon society

when you become mutuals with me, a mysterious antique key with a burgundy key fob appears at your doorstep. the fob has gold writing on it that's slightly scratched off from use, it simply says "smokey's house" and a room number.

Time for the last member of Silver’s family in his future, Granpa Bronze! <3 He’s like my favorite.
He’s Platine’s dad and a mink (that’s where Venice gets some minor traits that make people confuse him for a mink). While he doesn’t have a fancy power or skill like the rest of his family, he’s pretty good at being sneaky and can fit in smaller places others can’t due to quills and things like that... or well, used to, he’s heavily out of practice. But what he’s not out of practice with is sweet talking and bargaining. The amount of chocolate (it’s rationed in their time) he can get and save up just by being cool with his neighbors and exchanging things with them is incredible, and he makes a mean hot chocolate! Getting one of his is as much of a treat as being taken to ice cream.
He doesn’t have anything that allows him to go out with his family after curfew, but he’s an awesome alibi and staller when authorities try to find out what’s happening. He’s a great actor for his best role: the confused elderly man. His record or holding someone on the phone while not telling them anything is thirty minutes. They hung up.
He remembers the old times when he was a kid and his own mother would tell him how things had started to slip and the entrance of the Negas in the system. That’s when she showed him the old history book from her own youth, from before that time. He treasured it and kept it safe for years until Venice started showing big interest in history. He’d read it to him and Silver when they were younger like a bed time story (but Venice enjoyed it much more and while Silver sometimes skipped it or fell asleep quickly, Venice would drink it up and he’s heard of every single story of Sonic and his band of fighters). Bronze ended up giving that old book to him once he was a little older and would take good care of it.

If people give shit to Mav because nobody believes he's married to someone with a boring name like Tom, when they ask Iceman who he's married to and he answers Pete, everybody smiles along, and yeah, yeah, it does make sense. Pete could be a lawyer, a kindergarten teacher, a doctor or a botanist, it wouldn't be very relevant because Pete is the man Admiral Kazansky goes on trips with, to hike in Yellowstone Park and to skydive that time he was bored and without anything to do. Pete is the man who sometimes makes him lunch and always, always, leaves little silly notes in the admiral's jacket when he has long meetings and conferences outside the national border. Pete, who asked Tom to marry him back in '91 and said yes when Tom asked in '11. Pete is a calm, normal, borderline boring, and composed person who loves the Admiral and likes a peaceful and relaxed life.
Yeah, exactly that Pete.
(But then Tom introduces his husband to them, and they can be admirals or secretaries or janitors alike, and everyone thinks that they really really don't know Admiral Kazansky at all.)
((Mav's favourite story is about that time Ice introduced him to Admirals Simpson and Cain. Years later, he's still crying for how much he laughs when he tells the tale.))
