Sometimes I think about how Linkin Park is only seen as this angsty band for "Crawling", "Numb", and of course "In the End", and it's kinda sad. There's a lot of depth to LP's music that's a lot of healing from toxic relationships, mental health, and moving on to bigger and better things (that's what I'm getting out of their music at least lol). None of their work is going to go back to their first album "Hybrid Theory", which is stated recently by Mike Shinoda who mentioned that they've moved on from that time of Meteora/Hybrid Theory. They are and always will be an experimental band, especially seen in "A Thousand Suns" album.
If you only know Linkin Park for the first few songs that are bangers but not for you, I highly recommend "Good Goodbye", "The Catalyst", "Powerless", "Leave Out All The Rest" and "Guilty All The Same". All are completely different sounding from one another and are all from different albums.
Please check them out, it's worth looking into ^-^
“ Because this is dedicated to the kids
Dedicated to wherever music lives
Dedicated to those tired of the same old same
And dedicated to the people advancin' the game
What's real is the kids who know that something's wrong
What's real is the kids who think they don't belong
What's real is the kids who have nowhere to run
Who are hiding in the shadows waiting for the sun “
Additional Thoughts: I got my Hybrid Theory 20th Anniversary replacement kit in the mail today.
Making this for my cousin's boyfriend who thinks rock music is solely British even though he's literally twice my age and has no idea that I (an 18 y/o who's met him twice) am still mad about this
like I'm happy to share it 50/50 and argue the semantics but god damn. Zero credit for my boys Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix?? Not on my watch
just want everyone to know that every so often my conservative housewife mother will randomly send me the most uncharacteristic texts and this was todays

Over the past few days, I find myself yearning to escape reality due to some environmental stressors but so far I have been able to safely channel the anxiety into creating Linkin Park Tik Tok videos and strangely enough the process of making a quality video has proven to be quite effective in terms of preventing me from reverting to my self destructive pattern of behaviour under momentary lapse of judgement.
