my favourite part about watching Glass Onion with my niece (6) was when ‘the disruptors’ were solving the puzzle box together and her exasperated little voice going I would just smash it only for Helen to do exactly that just moments later.

The fact that, over everything else she said, it was Michonne telling Rick that he was hurting her that finally broke though to him 🥹
oh god i know. between that, and "the only time I feel safe is when I'm with you" and "I know you. and this is not how you love" she completely broke me. because she knew in order for rick grimes to be acting the way he was acting, something had to be profoundly wrong. because he would never ever hurt like this otherwise.
because like. yeah, while michonne, as a character, could have very easily been nothing more than "a weapon with a weapon" as that one guy (i think he was one of the terminus guys?) put it once. but she never really was, because danai gurira has always given her too much depth for that. it is true though, that michonne is always her most vulnerable, her most joyful and happy and expressive and layered when she's with rick. like i felt that line, because it's what i've been seeing on my screen for years (and god, the fact that it means she hasn't felt safe in a decade. jesus that's so painful). and the reason she can feel safe with him because he has always been nothing less than fully devoted to her, and her needs, and has always loved her so so so selflessly. he would do anything to protect her and their kids - it's one of the tenets of who he is and how he loves, and also why she loves him. he's strong so she doesn't always have to be. so she reminds him of that, because she knows him. because even throughout this episode, she kept seeing it, even while he was lying to her. it's one thing for him to hurt himself in order to protect himself from his own pain - to try to make her leave to avoid the pain of ever having to watch her die. it's quite another thing to hurt her. that is unacceptable to him, always has been. he'd never put his needs, or his feelings, above hers. rick will always stand between michonne and anything that was trying to hurt her. in this case, it was himself. once she pointed that out? game over.

I WANT THE TRUTH.
[ID: A strange, saturated, surreal digital painting of the Brand sisters. Helen Brand is pushing herself up from a ground coated in glass shards. The colors of her outfit and the bright red hot sauce stain match the tall flames behind her. In front of the fire, to Helen's right, is the image of Andi: in portrait, turned away, her eyes leaking bright stars, poised to drink from a cup. Helen's hair fades between hers and Andi's: part long, black, and curly, and part short, blond, and straightened. From her eyes: a determined, angry look, and falling tears.]

Considering Gooseworx's claim that Ragatha and Jax were partly inspired by Raggedy Ann and Andy, and that the Raggedy Ann movie was a big inspiration for the show, I have a silly little headcanon. It's been confirmed that Ragatha has been at the circus the second longest after Kinger, and I'm sure she's been comforting and compassionate to all the arrivals after her like she was with Pomni. When Jax first arrived, he was just as upset and traumatized as everyone else upon first coming to the circus. In an effort to cheer him up, Ragatha makes a paper flower for him. But Jax being Jax, he proceeds to tell her that flowers are stupid and he rudely declines her gift, much to her shock and annoyance. But without Ragatha's or anyone else's knowledge, Jax keeps the paper flower hidden in his room. He only ever takes it out when he's feeling his lowest.
