Name: Kamukamu

Debut: Wario Land 2

Have you ever thought about a world where everything is exactly the same... except you don't exist? Everything functions perfectly without you... that is the existential horror that this fangly little fishy must contend with! Kamukamu only appears in the Game Boy version of Wario Land 2, and is entirely replaced in the Game Boy Color version!

This is Drill, but you can call it SpongeBob SquarePants episode 151a, because it's the New Fish In Town! This is the one that replaced Kamukamu on the Game Boy Color, and I really have no idea why. They're completely different fish in both design and function! Kamukamu is a bitey fish who chomps onto Wario and makes him drop coins until shaken off. Drill is a pointynose fish who causes instant damage if touched from the front. They can coexist!

Of the two, I'm not sure which I prefer! Kamukamu has a more fun personality to me, with its glassy eyes and toothy overbite. It reminds me of a wolffish, but it's likely just a generic "bitey fish". Meanwhile, Drill has the goofier anatomy! It is seemingly based on a sawfish, but instead of a saw-like rostrum, it's like a drill instead. Its actual mouth looks toothless and non-threatening, as if it pulverizes prey into a smoothie that it slurps up!

Ok, that's about it, I guess. Post's over. Drill, taking the bus again? Okay, get home safe! What about you, Kamukamu? Your dad's picking you up? Okay! Let's see if he's here... oh, there he is!

Name: Big Kamukamu

Debut: Wario Land 2

This is Big Kamukamu, a boss in both versions of Wario Land 2! Even when little Kamukamu was replaced, no one had the gall to tell THIS fish it was fired. Would you? Big Kamukamu is, in fact, the only reason we have a name for Kamukamu! Big Kamukamu's name was given from a Picross game of all things (awesome swag epic), and from this we can only assume that the smaller ones are regular Kamukamu.

That's so many sources to go through to find a name for poor Kamukamu! Even after all that, we're not SURE that would be its name. It definitely seems so, it just isn't confirmed. Is this fish doomed to obscurity at every turn? I think it deserves a little something nice, so I am going to give it its very own localized name!

"Kamu" means "to bite", making "Kamukamu" basically "Bitebite". I think this is more than enough of a base for a silly cute little name!

Kamukamu, I hereby give you the fan-localized name of Bittybite! I hope you like it! Yes, it sounds like Biddybud, but this game was long before 3D Land and they would not have cared about an enemy in a subseries having a similar name. And I like Bittybite! So there is some love for this little fish who has been really craving it.

I know some of you dont like sharks, but i need to introduce you to the cutest and coolest (in my opinion) sharks

for the cuteness we have the salmon shark, he gets his name form his diet, if you couldn't guess he eats salmon,he is 100% harmless to humans but is known to be shy

He is so small and cute i adore him, he is love he is life

For coolness we have the sawfish

Who is a goofy little fellow that has the cutest mouth ever!!

Sadly they are endangered because of habitat loss, but on a happier note they have 10 rows of 12 teeth each, and i think they mostly eat crustaceans but dont quote me on that, but they are harmless to humans

A flurry of bubbles whooshed by Joseph as he calmly sat on the sand, feeling the warmth of the sun filtering through the shallow water.

Seated right near the edge of the beach, the surface of the water lapped a mere few centimetres above his head while he watched - a warm smile on his face - as his grandson chased his friend.

“You can’t catch me, pirate!” You yelled excitedly, dashing away from the raven-haired boy right on your tailfin.

“Come here!” Jotaro yelled back, his tiny hands making a grab for you, just barely missing your tail as you squeezed just that bit of extra power into your swishes.

Laughter and giggles filled the air and Joseph held a fond look.

He’d taken the pair of you out to the island not far from the pod territory. It had always been his philosophy that different environments were good for a pup’s development and well- you both had seen most of what the island in the pod’s territory had to offer already.

Suddenly, a smell in the water alerted Joseph.

Sitting up slightly, his eyes darted from the playing children over to the surrounding area, surveying the sand and coral for whatever his nose picked up.

Ever so carefully, he placed his hand on the sand, pushing himself to drift forward as he narrowed his eyes, scanning around, his scales raising a bit in agitation.

With slow side-to-side movements from his tail, he stalked through the vegetation of the shallows, following his nose to somewhere on the left of the pups.

He didn’t want to scare or alarm them, knowing that if they scattered, he couldn’t keep both in his periphery, where he could keep them safe.

Making the calculations in his head, right at that moment, Joseph saw it.

Coming from behind a rock, the large and sleek head of a barracuda slid out. It’s teeth sharp and eyes dull and Joseph’s heart dropped.

The fish was old and judging from the smell he picked up - diseased. As it slid out further, the older Mer felt a growl grow in his throat as he took it in. Measuring at what must be three times the length of the pups, it had its sights set on the small Mer.

A healthy barracuda would never have Mer on the menu, but this wasn’t that. It was old and sick, and it heard a noisy and seemingly easy meal that it was gonna get.

Watching in horror, Joseph looked on as the fish tensed its muscles and he instantly shot forward, seconds before the barracuda.

The fish noticed the large Mer just in time however. Still fast from its ambush speed, it evaded the elder’s grasp, turning its slender body before Joseph could sink his claws into it.

“Shit!” Joseph hissed, turning with the fish and going in pursuit.

Though it was old and slow, they were in shallow water, on top of the fact that the sawfish Mer knew he couldn’t get bitten, lest he contract whatever the barracuda was ill with.

And all the while he chased the predator fish, the pups continued playing, unaware of their environment or the dangers going on.

“You’re going down, evil fish!” You yelled out as you chased Jotaro, the roles reversed as you were now playing the pirate - holding a piece of coral to imitate a weapon.

It had always been one of your favourite stories to listen to together. Sitting on the sand side by side while Holly spun majestical tales of pirates and adventure- the humans who came closest to living with Mer.

While you were chasing, Jotaro suddenly ducked behind a rock, making you slow down as you gripped the coral. Carefully, you began rounding the rock, looking for him, only to suddenly be ambushed from the side.

Shrieking out as Jotaro bashed into your waist, the two of you spun out of control together, laughing and wrestling together as your tail curled around his in your attempt to get free.

Spinning through the water in a ball of limbs, neither of you realised the rip tide.

Suddenly, the water’s pull took a hold of you both.

Widening his eyes, Jotaro grabbed onto your hands, keeping his tail tightly curled around yours as you were dragged away from the safe shores.

“What’s going on!” You chittered in panic, looking up at Jotaro who was breathing quickly, doing better to hide his own.

“Just hold on!” He clicked, trying to look around for anything to grab hold of. “Grandpa!”

Neither of you had ever experienced the under current before, too new to the world.

Vulnerable and just trying to hold onto each other, you and Jotaro were continuously trapped in the cycle of water. Lifted up in the large waves before being swept under and spun around, scraping past rocks and coral.

Even worse, sea foam was starting to gather and flurry all around, some of it getting into your gills, making it hard to breathe.

The moment your left gill got shut off, your fear truly took over and you started crying while Jotaro hugged you tighter, hiding his face in your shoulder and holding on for dear life while letting out the emergency clicks he’d always been taught.

Huffing out a sigh, Joseph leaned back on some rocks, catching his breath while he dropped the body of the barracuda into the sand.

He was getting too old for chasing such swift prey.

Grunting softly, he then got up again, dragging his tail through the sand and throwing a whole cloud over the fish, not wanting other creatures to get sick from whatever it is the barracuda had. Yet right as he did that, a distant yet oh so familiar noise reached him.

Instantly at full alert, Joseph flicked his tail and rushed through the water, honing in on the emergency call of his grandson. “Jotaro! Y/N!” He called out, swimming way past where he last left the both of you before rounding a corner and spotting you both.

Stuck in the undercurrent of a crashing wave, the patriarch saw the pups currently under his wing.

“Hang on!” He frantically called out, racing over and grabbing hold of you two, turning around and swimming out of the current with ease, holding on and hiding your terrified forms within his arms.

With Jotaro digging his nails into his right arm and you sobbing in his left, Joseph was left with nothing but the thought of how he was going to explain this fiasco to both parents.

I'll introduce my guys undercut :-)

Hi welcome to me talking about my guys.

(I'll preface this by saying, in my oc headworld (pippaf), the dominant species are called "creatures" and all creatures can shift at will between fragile (humanoid) and primal (animal forms), the primal forms seen herer.)

The blue one is my favorite, their name is Amek (21, they/he). And by favorite i mean i emotionally torture them the most <3. Amek's species are called Storm Spirits, they are shapeshifters, but think of them more like dittos. they can't significantly change their color, eye-shape, or markings. they can voice/sound mimic tho! Storm spirits typically have weather magic. Storm spirits are a rare species, nearly hunted to extinction due to prejudice and their association with the god of chaos, Okkjuk. Amek's full name is actually Ameokk, after getting "adopted" by September, she gave him the nickname Amek, not wanting to unsettled others with the Okkjuk themed name. Amek is a long way from his original home, but he wouldn't consider it home anymore, even if he wanted to. I realized

I realized i haven't spoken of their personality at all. Amek is an upbeat goofy silly guy, he is a charmer and loves entertaining a crowd. He is very good at acting, his job requires him to.

the black cat is August (19, he). Amek is August's adopted brother. He is a prince but his mom (september) hates him bc she's ableist but also she sucks in general. August likes art and painting, and crowds make him very nervous, having been discouraged from going outside for much of his childhood. He also loves loves books, especially history and romance.

the picture on the left of him sitting he's 16 actually, bc i drew his proportions wrong. and all the pics where he has the torn ear and eyescar he's around 22. It's from an assassination attempt :- ). Oh yeah August's species r called spinecats. They're like cats but what if spines and posable tails and maybe some bug-like traits.

The doggy looking thang is Hyun (17. she/he). She is rabid and unhinged but probably the sweetest of my ocs, next to August. Like a rough kind of sweetness. His species is called Keyhorn, because keyhorns store their magic in their horn (magic energy is called 'keyaa'). As you can see, Hyun's horn was broken by a meaner :-( , this guy is called chrrris and he sucks. Hyun's magic is permanently weakened by this, but he is an optimistic bugger, don't worry.

Hyun was raised by these wild animals (not creatures) called night yips (imagine a wolf if it was as smart as a parrot and upright like a gorrila and the muzzle of a sawfish and rabbit ears). She also masqueraded as a local god so that she would get offerings from the local village. Then she lived in a cave for a bit. Don't worry about it.

Molina-verse HCs: What cryptid/ghost/legend would they be?

Ricardo: Baihu, or White Tiger; one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations; sometimes called the White Tiger of the West; represents the west in terms of direction and the autumn season; as with the other three Symbols, there are seven astrological "Mansions" (positions of the Moon) within the White Tiger; location - China (the article wasn’t specific on regions or eras)

Doc Ock: Adaro; akin to mermen, they specifically have gills behind their ears, tail fins for feet, a horn like a shark’s dorsal fin, and a swordfish/sawfish-like spear growing out of their heads; believed to be the evil ghost of one who has died (Adaro is from the Arosi language, referring to the ‘evil soul’, which lives on as a ghost, whereas the Aunga refers to the ‘good soul’, which dies and moves on when the person dies), Adaro are said to kill fishermen by firing flying fish at them; location - Makira Island, The Solomon Islands (alt. Gegenees, six-armed giants)

Robert: Bödvar Bjarki, or ‘Warlike Little-Bear’; technically a human, but he has a fetch that is a monstrous bear, killed the king of Norway (Hring, who is technically his grandfather) and took his place, later visited his brother (who was an elk from the waist down) and was urged to drink the brother’s blood (which greatly increased his strength), went on to serve as an adviser to the king of Denmark, died in battle but not before he entered a trance-like state and had his fetch do heavy damage to the enemy’s army; location - Nordic countries, but especially Norway and Denmark

Harold: Vampire; undead humanoid with fangs, varies in style; a mythical creature that subsists by feeding on the vital essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living; undead creatures that often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods which they inhabited while they were alive; wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early 19th century; -there’s so much to this but it’s all really interesting look it up-, location - worldwide, primarily began in Eastern Europe

Harding: Caladrius; a snow-white bird; lives in the king's house; said to be able to take the sickness into itself and then fly away, dispersing the sickness and healing both itself and the sick person; location - Ancient Rome

Big Boss: Jersey Devil; often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. Armand: Leshy; though he often has the appearance of a man, his eyebrows, eyelashes, and right ear are missing, his head is somewhat pointed, and he lacks a hat and belt. Jim Bussey (ye ye I’m adding the other mortician baby): Ankou; appears as a man or skeleton in a black robe and a large hat that hides his face, welds a scythe, often seen on a cart or driving a black coach to collect the dead (accompanied by four black horses and two ghostly figures); either the first child of Adam and Eve, a cruel prince who lost a bet with Death, the king of death, or the first/last dead person of the year, often seen as a henchman of Death that protects cemeteries and collects lost souls; location - France, Wales, Cornwall

Andres: Chupacabra; depictions vary from reptilian-like to dog-like (for Andres I lean towards the dog-like version); vampiristic tendencies, specifically sucking the blood of goats and other livestock (‘chupar’ means ‘to suck’, ‘cabras’ means ‘goats’, so literally a ‘goat-sucker’); location - Mexico and Southwestern United States
