We're incredibly honoured to be invited to Game Atlas: The Archeology of a World not Far-away.
"Game Atlas: The Archeology of a World not Far-away” aims to communicate ways of using games as a playful media to combine historical story-telling, representation of cultural heritage, community experiences with playful mechanics and virtual world-building. Game designers from Asia and Europe are invited to exchange perspectives and methodologies and explore the power of games in producing contextualised contents for local and global game players.
Curated by Yang Jing (Allison), Game Atlas is co-presented by Goethe-Institut Hong Kong and M+, in collaboration with Current Plans and School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong."
We'll be participating in an interactive forum alongside other amazing game developers and artists on day 3 of the event, October 26, 2022 8:00-10:00 PM HKT (UTC+8). Register to attend online. Watch event trailer.

the worst part about being an adult is thay its no longer socially acceptable to just roll down a really big hill and then run back up it and roll back down again. "oh is this a syphilis metaphor" passerby would ask. "is this for a tick tock". no i just wanna come home covered in dirt and scratches and bask in the the solace of childlike mirth

I think bringing up "it/its" pronouns is a good test for people who claim to be "trans allies" because it so easily weeds out the people who are only doing it superficially. I've seen so many people who will post "Punch your local TERF #transrightsarehumanrights" and then turn around and be like "If someone says they go by 'it/its' pronouns it's actually good to misgender them because they're just teenager trenders"

... A headless male figure, a signature trope in Chang’s work, is depicted here nude, juxtaposed with a mountainous landscape. His body is tilted at a precarious angle and hunched, suggesting angst. In the distance, terraced farms are seen in clear focus while the figure in the foreground is blurred. A few characters, while largely illegible, are carved into the rock in the bottom right. The sense of confinement amidst a larger, potentially threatening context is strong.
