first off i think laios relationship to sex is super removed for like 50 reasons without even getting into his actual sexuality

he grew up in a place with very repressed ideas about sex and has a lot of fear about asserting his presence in situations

he has a hard time figuring out his feelings towards other people both bc hes autistic and bc he has freaky deviantart fetishes that make sex in his mind a very abstract concept <- this one is me projecting mostly

that aside, i feel like gender-wise hes attracted to ppl so infrequently it may as well be entirely case-by-case

the idea of him being gay appeals to me from the 'raised with traditional values he Does Not fit into/hasnt begun to question it yet' perspective, i lauve characters who put a lot of stock into performing a role thats expected of them and fail miserably for unknown (gay) reasons

i think izutsumis gender/sexuality is entirely secondary in priorities to her body dysphoria. she has a lot of learning and acceptance 2 do before that kind of self discovery is on the docket and in my mind eschewing gender on some level is part of that. get sillay

Okay so I’m not a huge fan of Kate Callahan, not going to lie. Through out the season it feels like the life schedule of the BAU just doesn’t fit with her a lot (Mainly bc they push this “she has a kid a home” thing a lot, especially with how s10 ends, but she’s a new character we don’t have the connects that we have with JJ and Morgan or even Hotch, who all tend to deal with that same work/life balance.)

But Kate does have come good moments

For example I do actually really like the kind of sly stuff she implies while talking to people their interrogating and stuff

Example from S10 Ep 6 If a Shoe Fits

Some guys records sex tapes with out the women knowing pretty much, and the person their interrogations knows the law so he’s not falling for he’s a fault for receiving these video from his friend, so Kate (especially with her previous job) says something about them being in jail for 20yrs (I don’t look for quotes rn lol)

Very rough quote “Well maybe one of those girls was 3 months shy of 18” (Morgan reveals to us, pretty much right after none of them were, when he says something to Kate about it as she walks out of the room)

Then literally the next episode S10 ep11 HashTag

They’re at the part where everyone’s pointing guns at the unsub with a hostage in a parking garage and the media pulls up (for a serial killer that wanted fame and recognition) leading unsub to hurt the victim and forcing Morgan to shoot the teenage unsub

While Morgan and JJ both go to the injuries two, Kate straight up yell in the background “WHAT THE HELL WERE THINKING” at the media people

I also like the moments when her and Reid do talk a bit and she always ends in sarcasm and Reid never understands lmao

Tbh Kate had potential but they kind of threw her in there and didn’t seem to let her character really have a fit into the team phase like Alex Blake did before her. They just say something about the team “already knowing her” and never give a good adjustment to have her mesh with the team more or anything.

Yeah there a very few fics in japanese on ao3, most jp authors either post it on pixiv, sell it in print form, or use sites without centralised search where you can find it only from the link in their tweet like privatter, poipiku or pictbland (mainly for nsfw content)

out of the stuff that is on ao3, a good portion are translations by non native speakers, and for native speakers a lot of them write for western media, probably bc interacting with western fandom makes them likely to know or care about ao3

but in general jp fandom have a greater sense of secrecy (?) like in older fandom for LJ era, especially BL shippers. on pixiv a lot of fic is tagged with just the ship name, no fandom or character tags, or a specific fandom tag for BL, same on twitter it's considered bad etiquette to put ship fanart on the series canonical hashtag. so i guess maybe that fandom culture doesnt mesh well with the extensive tagging of ao3

You're going to see more fans from countries that tend to learn English or fans who don't have many options and aren't used to being catered to.

There are like 200,000 Russian language fics on AO3. Their big archive has, what, 2 million? Wattpad has a translated interface and a big market share for a bunch of languages. For all that AO3 is multilingual, it's not that multilingual, and the interface is a huge part of that.

Having taught English in Japan, I can say they're the same type as the US: generally pretty bad at foreign languages and very used to being catered to in their own. #notall, etc. etc. but the trend is there.

AO3 tagging may not appeal, but I'd guess a bigger reason is... why bother? There are plenty of sites like pixiv that cater to Japanese people better. The community hasn't had a big shakeup like China's purging of horny BL content as far as I know.

Communities don't, in general, tend to move until hit with a very big stick or lured with an equally big carrot.

kinda thinking about stuff based on a sort of weird ask an artist I follow got

The ask was basically a “how come I can’t make a fandom around this new story you did” bc the artist is selling a sort of abstraction of their own experiences as a comic using what they enjoy

don’t think I gotta explain how rude that actually is, and I’m not writing this as a “oh I’m so much better” type thought

But having been on tumblr I had interacted within fandoms, but I don’t really recall any of them, it was mainly ask blogs, and I even created a few short lived ones bc it just wasn’t interesting for me (and one case where the only other person who knew about the obscure anime went and drew cp of one of the main characters so? I was gone. Can’t enjoy that anymore, really wish I could. But I have that image burned in my mind and when I confronted them they refused by the “technically an adult” excuse even though this was a character shown at different ages, weird how they wouldn’t use the adult version but they didn’t like me saying that.)

The only real “fandom” I’ve ever actually been concretely into is Pokémon, but after I grew up more I didn’t make original characters who were Pokémon, and while I tried to rp I didn’t understand how it worked, so I mostly made up stories for myself that were just things I wanted, where Pokémon was the vehicle and medium

I enjoy creating aus for things I like if it works? But I wouldn’t say I’m a fandom person. The way tumblr(the culture of a portion of the site) looks at fandom has always been strange to me, even as I hyperfixate. I kind of thought something was wrong with me…? Like was I consuming media wrong? I don’t ship often, or think too far into headcanons, I mainly take it apart and see what info is in the media. I may draw conclusions but often this is done by myself

Often I’ll sort of enjoy something, maybe even love it, have a phase and then move on- if I talk about it w others it’s via analyzing it or just being excited about it, seeking out fanart… (blocking ppl who are Annoying or doing a They Would Not Fucking Say That or a weird version of the character that is bastardized)

If I put it in statistical terms it’s like I interpolate data (information) instead of extrapolate… like I go between points of info instead of going too far outside of the story, maybe because I’ve only ever seen one exploration of the concept that actually worked- one random disco elysium fic that essentially made its own new case for Kim and harry. Some things were a lil clumsy, but they actually were very careful w balancing characterization, themes, and ideas to create something new that wasn’t alienating. It was nice to finally understand how people talk about good fanfics. But uh, I avoided fanfic bc they usually alienated me due to inconsistencies or focused on shipping or a specific idea that didn’t really mesh

Idk, I have stories I hold dear to me, but fandom ocs usually either sorta die off or are adapted to a regular oc. I can make the number of ships I enjoy on one hand… I just like stories

Yo, sorry for the Like spam, but I have some questions, if you've got time?

I was reading through your posts about the turtles' fighting techniques, just because they were interesting at first, but I have a 2012 AU I'm working on in which their fighting styles change drastically over time, and I learned a ton from those posts. Trouble is, I... Don't actually know much of anything about real martial arts or combat in general. I want things to be more realistic in my AU, mainly because of how each weapon ties into their character development. If you have any, like, "actually decent combat techniques for dummies" video recommendations, that'd make my life a million times easier.

More importantly than that, though, I'm interested in what you have to say about archery. The AU is called "Sniper Leo" for a reason; he swaps to a bow in the middle of season 3 after discovering (or rather, finally accepting) that his knee injury isn't just something that can be brushed aside like Splinter was raised to do, and sure, he doesn't have all the same capabilities he's used to, but he's still a badass, competent leader with a longbow instead of twin katanas. His disability has changed his life, but certainly hasn't ended it.

(Similarly, as Don takes more of a tank role, she finds another weapon that fits her new style and allows her to adapt, but I'm not sure what it is yet; meanwhile, Casey gets a tomahawk, bc (1) he's Seneca and it ties him back to his roots before New York was New York - I'm native, this is important to me, y'know? And (2) that hockey stick is cool and all, but it's not great for fighting up-close and personal, so he needs to have something capable of dealing serious damage and punishing opponents who get too cocky, thinking they can just duck in past the effective range of his main spacing weapon. Plus, it's great utility-wise.)

Infodumping about traditional Iroquois weapons aside, my main three questions are:

(1) What kind of bow would best suit Leo, if he's trying to be stealthy, make use of his absurd upper-body strength from all that katana training, stay at a safe distance, and pierce enemy armor where possible? If those three things don't mesh well, what compromises would you suggest?

(2) What kind of secondary melee weapon would be good to combine with this? If someone manages to sneak up on him, he'll need a smaller, likely concealed Plan B to defend himself while his siblings are busy on the front line. I'm thinking a blade of some sort, since he has training with them and it'd lend nicely to him getting a better variant when Splinter... Y'know. There might be more fitting options, though, and any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

(3) What sort of hurdles would someone go through when switching from melee weapons like katana to a long-range one like a bow? Like, any base technique concepts that he might have to unlearn. I'm guessing there'd be a lot to do with positioning and stance, but again, I'm just kinda assuming right now.

One of the biggest difficulties that your gonna face when switching weapons is the different requirements that each weapon needs. Bows, believe it or not, actually need more upper body strength than most melee weapons because of the tension in the bow itself and pulling the arrow back. Patience as well as accuracy long range is gonna be his main issues i thing both narrative speaking and training with a new weapon. Imagine being in a leader role for so long, running into the fray yourself, and then suddenly switching to being long range where the goal is to stay as far away as possible from your target but still in range to hit?

in terms of what kind of bow? i would suggest he get a more current era bow. old style bows like the traditional long bow in japan require a huge bow that doesnt really allow for much movement but are VERY GOOD at shooting long range. Japanese long bows were able to pierce through samurai armor and same for Europe long bows (which had to pierce through chainmail and steal.) so putting current era bows with a strong arrow head which gives the bow its flexibility, range, stealth, and piercing ability (plus maybe a little donnie tech on the side) could EASILY get through robots and armor, no problem! I would suggest you look at this video of the worlds greatest stunt bowman who helps with movies and stuff to give you an idea on what leo could still do with a bow:

for a secondary weapon, i feel like he'd still stick with tradition. which is a short katana. Japanese archers tended to have both a long bow and a short sword to defend themselves if samurai broke through the flank or came at them from behind. (they also had something guarding their back like a samurai to help with that but short katana helps too). I've seen people also have archers use the pieces of their bow as weapons in a fight as well like wrapping the string from their bow around an arm or their neck to stop opponents, stabbing with one of their arrows if they got to close and couldnt draw their sword, that sort of thing.

you don't HAVE to follow traditional martial arts to make a fight interesting, in fact the reason fights can be cool is because a character uses the weapon that has a traditional style for something new and unique! having an understanding of the basics DOES help with how a fight should go and what could be possible for a character but creativity is also important in a fight. not every fight is gonna work like a traditional "honorable" dual or tournament match.

I think leo would just have to relearn to be a stealth fighter, fighting long range, hiding in the rafters so his enemy has to find him with some interesting arrows that could cause smoke screens or explosions (both of these are actual things traditional bowman could do, especially ninja. this is not like a "oh donnie would come up with this!" kinda thing no it is very common to attach things to an arrow it just depends on how you use it creatively). it would be cool to see him become a long range expert when he used to be so close range. like he gets good at Senbon (throwing needles) which target pressure points but dont kill, or throwing knives, maybe even darts!

leo stepping back also... lowkey might be good for his mental health just saying~

(also to comment on the hatchet thing, i would LOVE TO SEE THAT HAPPEN!!! we dont see hatchet combat much anymore and its such a good and useful weapon for both long range and close range. like hatchet throwing? sick as shit. also imagine casey throwing a hatchet above an enemies head, teh enemy being like "haha you missed" and they look back to see casey running up to them, jumping to HANG ONTO THE HATCHET IN THE WALL and use it as momentum/leverage to kick harder! just an idea ;3c )

Happy (late) Holloweeny!!

It may be like almost a week after the holiday but whatever! I decided to be Jyushi this year since I already made the hat like 2 years ago. That led to me wondering how much I could do for the costume without buying things, and well... I think the only thing I really bought was the baseball uniform but I had to dye it and whatnot so idek what I was planning with that. I think I just wanted an excuse to make stuff and this is what I got to show for it. I think it turned out well!

Though, I think I really like just dressing up as characters at this point, and of course work in process photos under the cut!

Gonna go in chronological order, so starting with the hat.

The photos of it are at the other post linked above if you wanna see it but I'll say my process/thoughts on it here.

If I went back in time to redo the hat I would've changed the way I did the white base. I did it with a spray primer and it made the hat really stiff. I used to wear it out, but also because of the primer, the fabrics not breathable anymore so you get sweaty FAST. Even with the wig on above, it made my head hot. It also made it not able to like stretch easily, so when I had it on with the wig, it kinda looked weird from some angles. Otherwise, It's pretty good. It's just the fact it has so many paint layers.

I unfortunately forgot to take wip pics of the bat and ball, but I have all the resources I used to make them if that counts!

I used the ball pattern from Supergurumi here. For the bat, I used Jay Hen's pattern linked here.

The only thing about the bat is that I switched up some things for this. Like I barely used any stuffing (mainly bc I didn't have much) but also because I just don't think the silhouette of the one on the site matches what an actual metal bat looks like and Jyushi got a metal bat. So I just crocheted around a pool noodle. And gotta say, very fun to hit my friends with, 10/10. Another thing, is that I made the whole bat the grey seen above and just wrapped some old fabric around it, since sometimes Jyushi has it and sometimes he doesn't?? It's weird.

Like in the earlier season (top right), he doesn't, but later in the show (bottom left) he has one and the grip is black? Oh but in the game (top left) he has a yellow grip! BUT THEN THE FUCKING NENDROID DOESN'T HAVE IT EITHER??? SO WHAT????

Idk. The whole thing kinda pissed me off since I didn't know what would be right. In the end, I just went with the yellow grip to match the uniform. I saw all of this like I care about accuracy- I fucked up the baseball stitches anyways, but that'll be our little secret.

I bought the whole uniform from a bulk sellout sports company for like only a handful of dollars. Even with shipping and everything, it wasn't even $20. The only thing was that they weren't selling yellow ones, so I had to dye it. Wouldn't have been that bad if it weren't polyester! Do you know how hard it is to dye polyester??? Well I didn't when I bought it, so lemme tell you.

You gotta make your witch's brew with synthetic fabric dye and soap. It took me a while, but I'd found some of RIT Dyemore in a store (but there are also some online like iDye Poly that should work). I just used a broken hanger to stir that shit for like 30 minutes since I didn't wanna ruin a spoon. Then I had to soak it in a dye fixative, which I did not buy 'cause fuck that. I'll just made some with water. vinegar, and sodium carbonate which you too can make at home. I will stay thanking NileRed for everything here, love his content. I think I soaked it for about 10-15 minutes, and from the pics above I wouldn't say much washed out.

This was probably the dumbest thing I've done. I could've just bought a wig for like $12 but no, I chose to make one instead. Also, I know he doesn't have blue strands in his hair, I just ran out of black yarn and had to make do. These are trying times, ok!! Anyway, I got one of the mesh wig caps meant to cover hair and then started tying strands to every couple of rows and holes. I guess this is where the stiffness of the hat came into use since I used that to hold the mesh cap. I got the idea from this video which helped with telling me what not to do if I wanted to make a wig like this. I was about as far into tying as the first pic below before I found cosplay veteran, Kind of Derp's, yarn wig series which put the idea in my head to press it. The only issue was that I couldn't brush out the twist since they were already tied and it would've pulled out all my hard work. So, I had to individually spread out every piece before pressing... That took the most amount of time, tbh I spend days doing that. I do not recommend it. If you're gonna make a yarn wig either do it KoD's way or like Uropa Queen does it here. That vid helped me quite a bit with styling.

Lastly, although the final photos don't show it, I did put Jyushimatsu's lil ahoge thing! I made it out of a spring and wrapped it with a shitload of yarn before stitching it in place.

And the last thing was stitching their last name! I thought about doing it directly onto the shirt, but since the uniform shirt is kinda stretchy and I don't have any fabric stabilizers, I chose not to.I wanted the stitches to be really crisp and nice, so I just did it on a different piece of fabric and pressed it on. I also kinda wanted to have a yellow shirt by the end of this without the kanji, so I wanted the chance to peel it off afterwards. But, me being silly, I didn't check if the iron-on adhesive was permanent before ironing it onto the shirt. Not the end of the world, I'll still wear it anyway. Though I think I could've cut the edges closer to the word since you can see it pretty clearly irl and even in the photos, but again the damage is done, what am I gonna do about now.

For the sketch, I used an erasable pen to draw 松. And for the stitches themselves, I just used the satin stitch to fill and some back stitches for the outline. This was probably the easiest and quickest part of the process.

I did the little "14" wristband thing a similar way. I just whipstitched the numbers onto some strap material (poly webbing, I think?) and attached some velcro. I folded it in half and stitched down the sides since I didn't ant the stitches to show on the back side of the cuff.

And I would put stuff for the mask, but that was super last minute. I literally just took one of my cloth masks and painted his smile on it with some acrylic paint and pouring medium, 'cause I was too lazy to whip out my actual fabric paint. Took about an hour to get it done, max.

But yeah, despite all the corners I cut, I still like the way it turned out. I can really see why cosplayers do what they do. It's fun to do stuff like this. I don't know if I'll have the time to squeeze in a DIY-heavy costume like this next year, but for Jysuhi and Airy, it was nice to do it.

And as always, I share the process because OH MY FUCK PEOPLE SHOULD!! The cosplayers that share their processes, I love you I love you I love you so much. Their stuff was really helpful for doing this! Hence, that's why I linked so many things. Plus, I know there are others out there who are trying to do the same and if it was helpful for me to stumble across other people's processes it'd probably be helpful to them too.

This is your sign to make a costume if you've been putting it off because you don't know how to do it. Start with something small, just for the hell of it. Hey, in 2021 I didn't think that painting his hat would lead to this, but look where we are. I believe in you, go forth and be creative!

Ahaha this is a deep cut (March??? when was March??? Decades ago i'm pretty sure)-- I assume this was about the video bc of the stealing painkillers part, so here's a short list of Pointed FOB References in the HMLaG video (forgive me for not citing my sources here, it's a work night; if you want links lmk and i'll take some more time to dig some up):

the whole video kicks off at the end of the "this ain't a scene it's an arms race" video, which in turn was a sequel to the "Dance Dance" video

pete being all over newspapers and articles was Very Much A Thing in the mid oughts

pete did live with his mom for a long time as an adult, mainly before FOB really took off

pete has been very open about his abuse of prescription medication but to my knowledge has never admitted to stealing any, though people in active addiction sometimes do steal drugs (feels weird and invasive to speculate further so i won't)

i'm not the best when it comes to steve, mainly bc i'm not his biggest fan tbh, but like . its almost like they were trying to make up with the loss of hopper being in the season by making steve an indiana jones-like character (which is the kind of aura hopper gives let's not lie) and it just. does Not mesh well w his character

also the show fucked up w the "show don't tell" when it came to some of the characters. they have two extremes: either they show it TOO subtly for audiences to pick up (dustin, jonathan), or they just. outright tell us. "look steve's not an asshole! nancy's not a priss!" like we KNOW, we've KNOWN these characters for four seasons like holy SHIT.

also. the steve i know, the steve who literally IS CANONICALLY OVER NANCY IN SEASON 3, would not tell her he's dreamed of her having six kids with him. even if he did still have feelings for her he wouldn't have told her that??? like it's just common courtesy not to make a move on your ex when she's in a long-term relationship with someone else, and ESPECIALLY not in that way. like if they really wanted to push it (which. no. stancy is regression for both their characters post season two) then they should've have him be more respectful towards her and NOT tell her that????... like the fact that its back at all is cringe but like. ugh. fucking hell i hope you get what i mean

what SHOULD'VE happened in s4 is nancy and steve BECOMING FRIENDS. like i would've KILLED to see that!!!! steve helping her when it comes to fred's death!!! steve finally apologizing for not really caring when barb disappeared because he thought friends left all the time, but now he has robin, he can't ever imagine losing her so he know gets how she feels!!!!!!!!! That skull is... awesome... it's kinda good that you finally got a 3D printer, it's almost ridiculous that someone who is as skilled in 3D modelling as you wouldn't have one. I bet you could easily make and paint your own Mevolent, Serpine etc figurines.

I know right! I can't believe that a quality print-ready model like that would be free! :D And it will look even better with paint and ivy planted in it! You can find a lot of fantastic models for free or cheap like these flexy skeletons or flexy skeleton hands.

Actually, I'm not skilled in 3D modelling, at least not when it comes to humans. So far I've mainly done very lowpoly box-modelling where the texturing did most of the heavy lifting. I've never created a human character from scratch with 3D sculpting which is the technique I gotta use for 3D printing. But a friend gave me a tutorial for character sculpting (and rigging) and I can't wait to get started ^^ I never actually painted a resin figure either, so I've been bing-watching videos about that topic. The friend that got me into 3D printing doesn't know either, so he got himself a cheap airbrush while I'm going for brushes, at least for now.

One thing I can actually do quite easily is to 3D print the logo. It's pretty easy. Grab the pic from google, convert it to a path in photoshop and convert the path to a mesh in Blender. Then you should have an SP Logo you can 3D print. In theory anyways. Not really keen on trying it bc I don't want the SP logo in my room.

Hello yes I need your soul-crushing John post-ghoul takes please and thank you. I also feel like he would have been like "I don't deserve to be one of them" too like he hates himself so so much and rewrites his entire self. No wo der he hates Deacon so much. Hancock rewrites himself and still struggles with hating who he was and has become while Deacon is able to flit effortlessly (at least to John) through various personas without losing his sense of self

mhn yes ive been sitting on this ask a while for two reasons. 1) bc i've been goin thru a lack of inspo, but mainly 2) i've realized there just wasn't enough....je ne sais quoi. HOWEVER, flipping thru endless ideas in my head (along with restarting my fic two three times because i could not decide on what character to start the story off with) i finally settled on something that i've been playing with for a while, but apprehensive to put onto paper.

which is making every character incredibly dark; dare i say, disturbed in some way. i wont bore with the details since im rambling but i love fucked characters, i cannot contain it.

anyway............

on to the topic at hand.

yes. john is a true melodramatic but has gotten better at hiding it as he's gotten older/learned to accept what's happened (and his position as a public figure forces him to regardless of wanting to or not).

becoming a ghoul wasn't the exact plan he had in mind while injecting the experimental drug and for a while he struggled between feeling guilty -- how could he become one with a group of people who've endured and were failed by him? and resentment. at himself, his appearance, the people who pretend john mcdonough never existed.

ending up at the slog was def a blessing for john because it forced him back into reality. wiseman was good at dealing with the rage and holly was good at soothing the tears.

Hancock rewrites himself and still struggles with hating who he was and has become

i've always felt hancock and john were two separate entities that ended up meshing together once john started rebuilding GN. hancock has the confidence and swagger that john couldn't find pre-ghoulification. hancock allows john to unforgiving, calculated, and charismatic. from playing marbles with children in the street, to slitting the throat of drifter caught assaulting a woman.

john mcdonough envies hancock because he’s everything john never got the chance to be. that’s where the self loathing comes from methinks. he’s carefully crafted a character that he finds comfort in, but it’s at the cost of losing himself. that’s why he’ll disappear for days on end or keep to his private quarters, let fahr handle business. as the months go by john finds it harder to detach from hancock and those moments of seclusion are spent forcing himself to remember who he is.

Deacon is able to flit effortlessly (at least to John) through various personas without losing his sense of self

deacon has natural confidence, for sure. i believe identity isn’t an issue deacon worries about because he doesn’t attach himself to one life. he enjoys being a chameleon because he’s good at it and it allows him to blend into various crowds without raising any brows. there’s no risk. if someone sees through him or he grows bored, he simply creates a new one. 

though i’ve chalked up most of john’s dislike toward deacon being that he finds him extremely annoying/a thorn in his side since he’s des’ lapdog

koop’s species has a little marsupial-like pouch around the belly button area. he just tends to carry random things in it for convenience. gooby likes being carried so he just sits contentedly in the pouch until koop takes him back out

also some background info, but this is bc koop’s species only has one ‘sex’, scientifically speaking. so one individual can reproduce with any other individual, meaning each person typically has the same secondary sex characteristics, genetic mutations not included.

his species doesn’t really have genders, but koop himself was raised by a species that does, so they just slapped some pronouns on him to help him mesh with their society better. koop never really felt the need to identify as anything other than just some dude, so thats where he’s at

also this was mainly an excuse to practice drawing fat characters, so thanks to adorkastock/senshistock for always being an excellent resource lol

i know i have like 50 things i wanna do but some day i wanna analyze c!beeduo like. in full. watch their interactions from ranboos introduction on the server to their talks in new lmanburg (esp tubbo putting so so so much trust in ranboo. all these aus about tubbo hurting ranboo, tubbo betraying ranboo, and it seems like everyone forgets that the tension in their relationship started with ranboo hurting tubbo, even if tubbo forgives him, but of course when tubbo forgives its water under the bridge but if another character forgives tubbo/shows to not care much or even understands him it *has* to be held against him still). i wanna watch their interactions pre- and post- doomsday (and how they talk of each other when they arent around), analyze the experiments and ranboos feelings about it, analyze their valentines date and their marriage and their interactions in snowchester and the outpost, the way they talk about each other (mainly ranboo about tubbo), and generally their separate personalities and how they mesh, and then finally where i think they should go from there, since ive made it pretty clear that i think the Big Fight everyone else wants to happen would only ruin them further (why would you want the characters with the worse communication issues to continue to communicate horribly but with anger behind it 😭 not to mention fighting would only put both of them in danger because of how powerful both parties and their allies are and en gee ell im a little sick of tubbo being in possible danger bc of techno i wouldnt want that to get Worse)

25: Are you open to duplicates? Why / why not?

I mean considering I’m an oc blog, it’d be a bit weird to see a naya dupilicate. But if you mean like interacting with another version of a muse one of my mutuals already has? Like I know you an Mak both have Korekiyo as a muse and the thing with that is I feel if I mesh better with somebody’s portrayal of one muse, it’s highly unlikely I’ll interact with the same muse written by a different person. Nothing against those muns, I’m sure their portrayal of the characters they write is exquisite! It’s more me than it is them. If Naya has an established relationship with a canon muse someone writes, it’s gonna be very hard for me to write with the same character written by a different mun and act like it isn’t the previous mun’s portrayal of that muse. You get where I’m going with this, right? Like I’ll have to consciously act like the relationship I have with the new mun’s canon muse doesn’t exist, because it doesn’t. It’d create some tension regarding ocs and pre-established relationships, I feel. So basically tldr I won’t not write with duplicates, It’ll just be extremely unlikely that I do and that’s nobody’s fault but my own.

I don’t think they accomplish anything. It gives me the same vibe as anon hate almost?? In the sense that it makes you look too scared to face the person you dislike head-on, y’know? Like, if someone upsets you but not enough to warrant some kind of callout post, get it out if you need to, like I can’t dictate what people can post on their blogs, but like,,, at least put it in some kind of tbd tag? Like unless you forget to actually delete it later there’s no point in leaving the vague up, especially since they do more harm than good imo.

27: Do you follow people even if they don’t follow you back?

All the time, yes. I feel like people limit themselves when they only allow mutuals to follow them, like it gives me ‘you can’t sit with us’ vibes. I don’t follow people just to impose some unspoken rule with them where they have to acknowledge my follow and then follow me back within a certain time frame before I unfollow, that makes me feel uptight. I follow someone because I like them and like what they post. I never even expect a follow back, I’m happy if I even at least get their attention. Basically, follow people because you like them. I get a bit iffy with people who treat what’s supposed to be a hobby like a high school clique at best, and a business transaction at worst.

I do practice it, but mainly out of courtesy. Like I have nothing against peeps who reblog memes from me, like I’m not gonna narc on you for not reblogging smth from the source. It’s just something I practice bc my anxiety keeps me from wanting to show up in people’s notifs because I think I’m being a nuisance when I show up in someone’s notifs and it isn’t because I replied to a thread or sent them an ask. As for my opinion of reblog karma, I think people are a little harsh on others when it comes to it. Like, “You’re getting a hard block if you don’t reblog from the source” type harsh. It just rubs me the wrong way that you would treat someone so innocent like that just because they showed up in your notifs and it wasn’t an ask or thread reply. I think it deters people from even wanting to approach you and it’s how you end up with limited friends here.
