Once again broke in this game cuz I’m trying to level up my cards to beat the INSANE requirements for lesson 15.
(Rant under the cut)
Like, why tf is it so hard to progress in NB? Makes no sense. I’d be breezing through lessons in the OG game by this point and probably already on lesson 20-30 rn.
Either the devs make it more enjoyable by making it more playable and less of a grinding game, or they lose an undoubtedly large number of NB players bc they chose to make it so difficult to progress in the slightest bit.
Why is it so hard to get lore?!😭 that’s all we’re asking for—
Wait. Is that why this game is so hard? The LORE?! Are they seriously making the levels almost impossible to beat because they’re givin’ us lore? I’m genuinely so lost at this point.
Please tell me I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. Or at least someone else has to notice this, too?
i am thinking how much poorer, how much less colorful the world would be if art was only made by "professionals." if all the music, all the stories, all the sketches & paintings & craftwork of the world was created only by the small category of people able to make a decent living from their art. imagine if the only people allowed to create were the experts & the renowned & those aspiring to the top. what a grey world that would be. how much joy would be bleached away! i love you people who create for the sake of creating, i love you artists who do art for tiny audiences, i love you people who make things even just for one person, even just for themselves, even if no one's watching, thank you thank you thank you for decorating the world in which we all exist
pathologic but it's a lost 1920s german expressionist film [id under cut]
[id:
image 1: a digital drawing of a fake poster, using bright colours and rough, painterly brushstrokes. the title, 'pest' (german for 'plague'), is written at the top in spiky black text. in the foreground a man dressed as a tragedian is staring intently at the viewer, his hands raised and splayed as if in horror. in the background, the town is framed against a red sky, with the polyhedron in yellow behind.
images 2 and 3: fake casting sheets for the film, with the names of the actors and the characters they are playing above a black-and-white portrait photograph of them. all the text is in german. in english it reads:

Ernst Deutsch as the Bachelor
Carl de Vogt as Vlad the Younger
Marlene Dietrich as the Inquisitor

image 4: four digital sketches of set designs for various locations. all are strongly influenced by expressionist imagery, using extreme angles, warped perspective, and dramatic shapes. they are labelled 'street 1' (a street lined with houses), 'street 2' (a square with a lamppost and a set of steps), 'polyhedron exterior' (the polyhedron walkway), and 'cathedral interior' (the dais at the far end of the cathedral).
image 5: four digital drawings in a black-and-white watercolour style, showing fake stills from the film. all are similarly distorted and lit by dramatic lighting. the first shows katerina's bedroom, with katerina standing in the centre of the floor. the second shows the interior of an infected house. the third shows daniil staring out of the frame in horror, one hand on his head and the other raised as if to ward something off. the fourth shows an intertitle with jagged white text reading 'the first day' against a dark background.
Um... ha-ha, okay, it has been stuck in my head for the whole month, but if I will keep it any more I will explode, I need to busy my brain even more
I'd like to take an animation commission. Like, a fully colored, shaded, with lightning, with in-betweens, with the clean line (and background). Up to 5 seconds depending on what you want to get
I guess the price may start from 250$ and be higher or less depending on complexity of the details, character or movement (<- of course everything will be negotiated)
I never took such commissions before so please be patient with me since I might spend even months ha-ha (really wanna beat this fear of taking something more complex) But I will do my best since it will be first experimental time for me
1. Payment via Boosty after acceptance of the sketch animation (very rough idea)
2. I think I can draw mostly anything (but won't 18+, guro and I can decline something if I feel like I will not like to do it)
3. You must have a reference of the character, I'm not ready to work with something that doesn't have a ref to start working right away
4. Please, properly think of what you'd like to see, I will not make 3 different rough animations of different ideas because you suddenly had another idea ;~;;
5. Note me in dms if you'd like to take commission... (I'd like to move to discord later since it's more comfortable in here)
Uh... I have only this as a more or less proper example (it was based on amazing storyboard by yeye23)
Okay, I'll just leave it here if someone really will be interested and will delete if it if it will be decided.... I just feel like my brain is dying if I don't have an enjoyable/stressful more complicated work on a side that demands an attention from me. Have a nice day
I'm starting to think I probably have some passive ADHD so I end up always admiring ppl who can just constantly do stuff, it's like a dream, your art is also like a dream, Vasco is also a sweet dream, I really like Vasco, he looks really sweet
I set aside a little bit of time every evening just to draw, it's become almost like a wind down routine for me. It helps if I don't treat it as serious 100% effort hard mode art time, I usually multitask a little on the side, watch a movie or take breaks to do little chores around the house and art just sort of happens if it happens. Lately I've been making mostly personal low pressure feel-good pieces.
I love watching Phantom where the Raoul is giving it his all and is trying his best to be a good boyfriend and yet Christine is still visually conflicted on choosing him or the literal murderer that lives underground.
The justice league only formed as Danny turned 16. Within a year of forming Danny had made a deal with the realm, accepting his fate as king upon his death, to keep ghosts out. Even getting his parents either by force or acceptance to shut down the portal.
So when Danny accompanies Sam to a gala and one of the ghost shows up. He calmly informs them that they were not welcome in this dimension. He made a deal with the king and they needed to leave before he made them.
the opening lines of the shadow of the erdtree trailer remind me a LOT of a certain quote from another game:
and with this in mind, i really hope that the direction they go with miquella is less like the manipulative griffith-esque archetype some people are theorizing, and more like N’s characterization in pokemon black and white: someone very intelligent and powerful but naïve, whose honest attempts at creating a better world might bring about more destruction in the end.
thinking about how when Garroth gets back from the Irene Dimension he immediately gives himself the task of fixing up the old docks. thinking about how the docks first came about as a direct result of Aphmaus influence on the town originally, her tasking herself out of her own good-will to fix up and serve the first town she stumbled upon and decided to call home. thinking about how garroth says he fell in love with her as soon as he knew she was a good person. thinking about how Aphmau paving streets and renovating villager houses is what made him love her. thinking about how the docks was Their spot, it's where he saw her off and waited for her to come back from all her out-of-town quests, its where they meet up after Donna and Logan's wedding and where Garroth goes to reflect after Zenix's betrayal and is comforted by her. thinking about how Garroth's love for Aph is ultimately an extension of his love for Phoenix Drop and her love for Phoenix Drop is how she shows she loves him. Thinking about when he comes back from the Irene Dimension, after inadvertently leading the town to decay, blaming himself for Aaron's death, and irreparably damaging his relationship with Aphmau his first course of action is to fix up the docks. He's fucked up and the only thing he feels he can do is what Aphmau did so long ago that proved to him she was a worthy lord and a good person: roll up his sleeves and pick up a hammer and nail.
