I’m so tired of seeing “dom Lucifer”, “top Lucifer”, and “daddy Dom Lucifer” Is he just not allowed to bottom?

Is he not allowed to feel like an ant under MC? Is he not allowed to grovel at MC’s feet and BEG for them to have their way with him? Is he not allowed to be submissive? Is he not allowed to be at MC’s mercy? Is he not allowed to be dominated? Is he not allowed to scream out MC’s name from pure overstimulation? Is he not allowed to be a slut for MC? Is he not allowed to be a brat for MC? Is he not allowed to be a whore for MC? Is he not allowed to beg for mercy? Is he not allowed to beg?

This man is clearly not just a “dom”. He can bottom, too. Just give him a chance and let him. Maybe he gets too tired and doesn’t want to do all the work for once.

I’m looking at the ones who always write gender neutral MC’s as bottoms. Maybe some people want to see more top gn MC.

Unravelling Solomon (Pt. II): Random Solomon observations and theories

Do you know what staying locked inside a basement with barely any sunlight does to a child's immunity system?

He's as pale as snow and his body has developed an aversion too much natural light and heat (he keeps the AC on in his room all the time in Purgatory Hall) because his body is just used to it.

His childlike reaction to any games the brothers or other characters might play or even his usual cheerful reactions to general chaos happening in the house - it shows exactly how the smallest things make him happy. And to someone who grew up with nothing but his own company, anything is fun.

The way he's just willing to come over just for a hug - he's so touch-starved it hurts. And we also see that physical touch gives him comfort especially when he's upset.

Perhaps the only comfort he could have was wrapping his own arms around him to keep warm. And you'll notice it when he hugs you, he lingers longer than anyone else and doesn't let go until you do.

Remember this from the "Just Kidding" event? It was stuck in my mind for a long time because the moment I heard the usually confident and carefree Solomon revert to this in his child form, I knew something was very very wrong with his childhood.

And man when his backstory was revealed...it's so much worse than I imagined. I just to want to hold this man forever.

And look at how he reacts when has to let go of a pet he merely kept for a week (in the Raise event). He forms connections so deeply even in such a short amount of time, dedicating so much time worrying and overthinking about the other's welfare.

Is it any wonder that he's the one who chased is down through time? You think this man here would ever be okay leaving you alone if he doesn't know for sure that you are safe? Yeah never.

That confident, shit-eating grin is just for show. Behind closed doors he's a scared child clinging tightly to the person he loves so much because he's afraid he'll wake up alone in that dark basement again.

Event spoilers!!

Yoo so they’re actually making an event kind of serious mood (for once)

From the beginning I thought this was about to be the usual event which we have a competition, characters fight for Mc’s attention, have a turn with each of them with the characters, with Christmas elements here and there, etc.

Like at first I was ready for this “Dark Santa” to be a prank by some lower demons or spirits or ghosts whatever basically who don’t like Christmas but…

WOAH WOAH THINGS ARE REALLY GETTING SERIOUS NOW-

AND HELLO??

Ok what sudden direction of angst is this.

Then there’s also this.

Ok I know this isn’t actually going to happen since it’s an event but like- WOW.

And the SAD MUSIC that was playing in this scene like GEEZ I went on OM for a giddy and happy happy event was not ready for this.

But I’m definitely not disappointed because I’m a sucker for angst in fact I’m loving it just surprised because they don’t usually ever pull something like this in events. So I loved that event. Although it took me a good while to process.

Obey Me Rewrite - the Passion Project

Note: spoilers below the cut

I’ve always been in love with the game obey me and been super passionate about it as a long time fan however the game itself is kind of lacking.

Obviously it does what it does well, it’s a dating simulator about demons from hell but what I mean is it lacks potential.

I love the characters and their relationships with each other and the overall concept, that is what made me fall in love with it in the first place however I do have my own issues with the game not as a dating simulation but as a story.

To give you more context:

Characterization

- characters are given great potential with interesting backstories and fun personalities however the direction the game takes them completely wastes any sort of progression as interesting 3 dimensional characters

Example: Satan - he is shown to show personal struggle with a sort of inferiority complex with the way he was brought into this world (or hell) by people only viewing him as an extension of Lucifer and only as wrath, not as an individual living being. He works hard to create a name for himself and he prides himself on wisdom. He has a strong character and one of the best self restraint in terms of anger I dare say (he did attack mc but honestly from the way he was acting in Nightbringer it is progression) plus he is calm and collected and obviously by now a respected demon. Though he knowledgeable in itself, he still has issues to work with, one being working out his difficulties with Lucifer, (maybe) coming to terms with the way he was born and the trauma he went through when Lilith fell (he technically felt Lucifer’s pain). Instead as the series progressed we only saw him a soft cat boy, cmon 😀.

There are much more examples of this in fact all of them have such wasted potential, I’m not going to go in depth (unless someone asks me to hehe) but a very notable mention I would also like to make is

Example 2: MC - I’m not going to comment on how they are dull or has no personality because actually they can be very sassy depending on which options you choose. Also the mc is supposed to just be a self insert so I understand that enough. Anyways what I would like to give note to is the fact that mc forgave belphie right away after he I don’t know KILLED US? Or should I say, more accurately, the game forced us to forgive him so we would have the belphie lovey dovey options (no hate to belphie stans I’m just saying). What I mean to say is that we shouldn’t have not forgiven him you know, honestly it’s more of pacing. We COULD have forgiven him and actually that would be interesting development and a look into their backstory as angels, however there was no real progression towards forgiveness or us even being remotely scared of him (I may be wrong on this but I remember belphie and mc becoming besties real quick with no hard feelings) like the snappy mc incorrect quotes I think would actually fit well into the story as well as proper talk and real progression towards forgiveness.

2. Concepts and storylines

This is slightly less of an issue but I do take slight to the way the game handles storylines. Season 1 was the best (in my opinion) because it was less of “uwu mc marry me” content and more of demons being demons.

Alright so this really bugged me but I don’t like how MC is a a descendant of Lilith, like I know the brothers and Lilith are not blood related and are honestly more found family and that MC and Lilith and so far related (in terms of how many generations were between them) that they barely share dna I believe (in terms of physical dna and all that good stuff not the angelic powers) but I’ve always found it kind of gross but I guess that’s just a me problem…

I’m going to take the next part of my issues with concepts and storyline as general as possible but it’s really long but… hell doesn’t feel like hell, or should I say devildom doesn’t sound like hell

There is technology in other depictions of hell (like Hazbin hotel) but that’s done better because it’s not so emphasized (I know DDD is part of the game but I think they drive the technology bit overboard) it’s a lot less subtle and hell just feels like an abridged human world with slight magic involved.

The demons don’t even act like demons or look like demons, as hot as their demon forms are they look like emo teenagers that just discovered hot topic like girl bye 😭. They don’t act remotely demonic like sometimes, and everything just seems like a cosplay is the best way I can describe it. I know it’s 12+ and not 18+ but I really enjoy the more gorey fanfic versions of obey me concepts because that feels like hell, it brings out emotions in me of shocked scared and surprised which is what Dre me into the game in the first place, not a bunch of boys going to play dress up and harass the MC.

I have much more problems with the game( I still love so obviously I’m gonna play it) but this is more of a rant and I just played Nightbringer so I hope there is more lore that resolves some of my issues but yeah!

I’m not that skilled of a writer or anything but I would really like to try and rewrite obey me as a kind of “real hell” as a passion project, obviouslt no characters, or anything trademarked belong to me this is more of for fun. Again I’m not that experienced so if anyone would like to give me tips on how to write or would lousy like to chat about obey me, about this rant and other issues or just obey me in general feel free to dm me I’m always looking for more obey me stuff hehe but yeah, or actually honestly I just want your opinion on this.

I know it’s not that deep it’s a game about horny demons but it still means a lot to me and I hope you guys understand where I’m coming from. Thank you.

Just gonna rant abt Luke because well, he's one of my favorite characters ever. I am very very tired of obey me fans just putting him down to be a chihuahua. It's a dumb joke really, it's not accurate and it's extremely overused. Just calling him that is gonna make people skim over his entire character as a whole because I think he's a well written character. Yes he can be one to jump to conclusions and yes he is quite outspoken, but I like that about him. He's not just a generic adorable child character, he's so much more.

I think he's one of the sweetest characters in Obey Me, him and Simeon both. They're both so considerate and caring for the player, their lines in the suprise guest thing often reminding the player to rest and take care of themselves.

I love to learn about all his hobbies, he likes to collect cute bandaids, he loves to take care of plants, he loves to play a certain card game that mammon taught him, and of course as all obey me fans know, he loves to bake. I think that he's a good show of a child who's starting to gain some maturity, as human ten and eleven year olds are. He has wholesome interests and he is innocent and childish, but he's also got some caution, maturity, and shyness to him.

I see him as a quite anxious boy, tending to worry about how people see him and the people he cares about. He's like me a good bit, and I suppose that's why I'm so fond of him.

I talked about how he's shy and cautious, but I also believe him to be quite hyper, brimming with energy and curiosity, the urge to learn.

After the one time I experienced his birthday event, I had gotten my headcanon that he absolutely adores sea creatures. I like to imagine he loves to read about them, and that Solomon got him a big encyclopedia on them for his birthday.

Overall, I've always wanted to hug him, to protect him. I grow angry when people just begin mischaracterizing him and constantly make fun of him.

At the end of the day, I know some people really couldn't care less about him. But he's very special to me:)

I am having a brainrot about Beel

!!Spoilers from season 1!!

Beel sees himself as the protector of his family and loved ones. He used to be one of Lucifer's bodyguards if I am not mistaken and the angel the guards the gates of the Celestial Realm.

We know of the hurt he felt when he failed to protect Lilith and have her die before his eye. It's canon that not only does he blame himself but he also used to think that Belphie hated him for it.

Now imagine how he felt when he realized that Belphie was not in the human world but locked in the attic. He must have thought he failed as a protector ones again and to make the matters even worse, he had to go up against Lucifer too!! Another member of the family.

That lesson when Belphegor revealed himself to everyone was the lesson where Beel realize how much he failed in protecting his loved ones, the one thing he loves more than food.(In the unspoken feelings card is revealed that he thinks of his family 50% of the time while he thinks about food only 40% of the time)

And a few lessons later, MC dies at the hands of his own twin brother, failing once again to protect the ones important to him.

Beel has so much angst potential and I don't see it being talked about too often. There are so many scenarios where you can put him that would bring out parts of his character other than his love for food.

I wanna see fanfictions where he fails to protect MC and about all the mixed feelings that he would have about it. Him thinking he is not good enough for them because he couldn't shield from danger and that MC should be with someone that can protect them. What kind of protector is he if all his loved ones keep getting hurt.

I love Beel and I hate to see him suffering but he also has some really good angst potential outside of 'can't control my hunger/strenght so I might hurt them'.

Nightbringer theories (Obey Me; SPOILERS!)

Alrighty so I decided to play Nightbringer after being scared of it for the past few weeks; so far, I have some questions and theories in mind. I’m still on Lesson 8 so I’m not sure if most of my theories here are gonna be right or just straight up wrong.

Questions & Theories:

- Since Solomon came with us to the past (or more like came to the past to come aid for our ass), wouldn’t there be a chance the Solomon from THAT timeline/past meet the present Solomon we know of? Wouldn’t this create a whole time paradox….?

- Lilith’s body got disappeared by Diavolo so that she can get reincarnated as a human; would there be a chance we get to see her reincarnated form at least if we don’t see her angel form? Also, reminder that Lucifer is the only brother who knows she got reincarnated, so most likely the other 6 brothers will have a huge fucking melt down like last time in the previous Obey Me game.

- When the game first started, we hear Solomon narrating a bit about Barbatos and this human Barbatos went to. Solomon used they/them pronouns for the human, at first, I thought it might be us/MC—but then it occurred to me, why would the devs only now reveal our/MC’s appearance and the timeline that Barbatos met this human must’ve been a very very long time. Either 1. They used they/them pronouns for the human to keep their identity hidden until revealed later on 2. The human is either one of our ancestors/related to Lilith’s reincarnated form or 3. This human might be a Biblical figure from the Bible; if you go to the official Obey Me Instagram; they illustrated Barbatos controlling a puppet that looks like a king (some speculated the king is David as he is the father of Solomon).

- In another illustration made by the official Obey Me cast on Instagram, it shows Diavolo gesturing to a red apple. Either this is indicating he was the one that lured Eve to eat the apple and regretted that decision which is the reason why he decided to improve his behaviors later in life.

- Man when I heard Raphael’s voice during Asmo’s arc I thought it was Adam, but nvm, it wasn’t. We may see Adam in the story though, like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, Adam was Lilith’s ex husband, so I don’t doubt that the devs would add an element of it to the story.

- There isn’t much information about Barbatos in demonology and from mythologies, but it's ironic that from said mythologies, Barbatos has the ability to reconcile arguments between friends/rulers but he seems to have this heavy dislike towards Solomon and refuses to speak about it. I seriously wonder what Solomon did bc this man fucking forgot what he even did to the butler.

- While I was doing research on Barbatos, I stumbled upon this (credits to Myths and Folklore wiki editors!) according to the The Infernal Dictionary (a book of demonology). This is stated about Barbatos:

"Barbatos, great and powerful demon, count-duke in the underworld, a type of Robin Hood; he is shown in the form of an archer or a hunter; He is found in forests. Four kings sound the horn in front of him. He's acquired the knowledge to divine the speaking of birds, the roar of bulls, dogs barking and screaming various animals. He knows the locations of buried treasures, say magicians. He reconciles quarreled friends. This demon, who was once of the order of Virtues of Heaven or that of dominions, is reduced today to commanding thirty hellish legions. He knows the past and the future."

I personally don't think in the game, Barbatos is an angel (or maybe he is an angel but man's disappeared for so long everyone forgot him and my guy turned into a demon afterwards/hj). It'll be interesting to see his lore and how the devs wrote his backstory. In mythologies, he's illustrated looking like Robin Hood, so maybe Barbatos (in the game) went to the human to give them justice??? Take my theories with a pinch of salt.

Like, why tf is it so hard to progress in NB? Makes no sense. I’d be breezing through lessons in the OG game by this point and probably already on lesson 20-30 rn.

Either the devs make it more enjoyable by making it more playable and less of a grinding game, or they lose an undoubtedly large number of NB players bc they chose to make it so difficult to progress in the slightest bit.

Why is it so hard to get lore?!😭 that’s all we’re asking for—

The truth about Asmo

Looking at all the current news surrounding Asmo’s events as well as his ranking in popularity contests and even in fandom spaces, it would not be untrue to say that Asmo gets the short end of the stick in a lot of scenarios, and there is a more hushed reason about why this occurs.

Out of all the brothers, Asmo is the most openly queer (both in gender and in sexuality) of the group, and I would argue that this more than anything is why there is such discourse around his character in the fan base and by the devs.

Yes, MC’s lack of gender makes all the brothers canonly queer (something still debated within this fandom for some reason), but it exists in a way that is lightly seen in canon, resulting in many fans ignoring this fact within the fandom countless times. On the other hand, Asmo’s more androgynous leanings and overt attraction to Solomon, MC, and a few women have been openly stated or heavily alluded to in game to the point that fans are not able to hide his queerness or act as if it doesn’t exist. And tragically, there are still a good amount of people in this fanbase that cannot stand a character who exists outside of cishet norms nor the idea of them romancing said character.

While I do agree that there are criticisms and concerns that can be raised about Asmo’s personality in regard to some of his comments about his brothers and his more self-centered nature, we cannot sit here and act like those are the only reasons why Asmo is dragged through the mud so often.

To end this, I am in no way saying everyone has to like Asmo. You don’t and that’s alright. However, we cannot act like there aren’t people who dislike Asmo solely due to some homophobic or transphobic bullshit. Nor can we ignore that  his poor treatment by the devs likely spawns from his more queer leaning nature as well.

How come none of y'all aren't equally or atleast some what mad/hurt by Barbatos and Diavolo about what happened in Lesson 16?

Sure Belphie was the one that killed (a) Mc, but Barbatos and Diavolo knew that was going to happen in that universe and happily sent Mc. We know this because Barbatos address Mc in the lesson with a quick, "don't worry I picked the timeline where you live, Mc". Also canonically Barbatos can't use his powers without Diavolo's permission. You can't convince me that Diavolo wouldn't have known he was sending Mc to their death.

They are both complacent! They literally set Mc's death in motion!
