there's an upside down jellyfish and I wanted to draw squishy spicy jelly Will Byers, but my hands refused to do it. HOWEVER, I DID GET SOME MERTAD MIKES FOR MY EFFORT

a species of frog has tadpoles that can SCREAM when threatened (or about to collide with other tadpoles) and this one never fucking stops screaming. this mini mertad Mike is having such a bad time, All the time, constantly, forever

technically the mertads exist in the same au as the Will clones but. this post ain't about them

It's a fish eat fish kind of ocean out there, but sometimes some rather odd couples of merfolk can be found dotted about... Who says a family can't be a thresher shark merman, a zebra seahorse mer, their pet elephant seal and several different kinds of merfolk children they intend to adopt in the near future?

Waxer and Jesse are human brothers, two of the four sons of a big-time military contractor named Jango Fett (😈)

Kix is a nurse in this AU and Jesse’s husband of several years. Boil is a kisslip cuttlefish mer, and has just returned from the sea to see Waxer again for the first time since their first meeting.

They all end up in the water under the light of the moon.

They don’t have suits, and ‘every beach is a nude beach if you’re daring enough’ is a phrase Kix’s brother Neyo lives by. Normally none of them are daring enough, but tonight feels liminal. They strip off and splash in, three of them standing tall and one flopping over as soon as the water is deep enough.

Boil jets around all of them, playfully shimmering and showing off.

“Damn,” Jesse says again, “Nice catch, Waxer.”

Boil surfaces next to them. “Wax is my nice catch, thanks,” he jokes, and ripples his side fins and waves his tentacles demonstratively. Waxer ducks down and wraps his arms around Boil’s torso to pull him up so he can kiss him. Jesse splashes them, and then Kix drags him under.

Kix and Jesse surface further down the beach and they’re kissing and getting handsy too, so Waxer doesn’t feel too bad about the way his hands wander down the slippery swell of Boil’s backside and trace over the ridged edges of his cuttlebone.
