Quick chibis for @zexalweek ...if I was gonna do any of the prompts, of course it would be the mermaid ones 👉👈 I thought these two would make really fun merms just bc of the embellishments already in their designs. astral is a merm who stays close to the water/near reefs and helps the good people in the nearby seaside town (yuuma & co) and vector is a deep sea merm up to no good, probably a sea witch like ursula :3c

FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Propaganda Under the Cut:
Ponyo:
determined 5yo girls are more powerful than god
PONYO!!!!
As a child i did not even realize this was a little merm adaptation, but it really reads. She is sooo strange and other worldly and the movie absolutely captures that dreamlike fairy tale vibe
Ponyo a roughly five-year-old magical goldfish who can transform into a frog-type thing and a human girl. She's the eldest daughter of the literal goddess of the sea and a former human sailor given immortality. She falls in love with the five-year-old boy who cares for her and is thrilled to explore his ordinary yet magical world. She's bouncy, exuberant, and joyful. She loves ham. She doesn't have to give up her voice.
ponyo ponyo ponyo little fishie in the sea!
Little fishy
THEY LOVE HAM
Bug:
Their a bug that falls in love with a human they rescue and becomes human, but even when they don't get to keep their human body, they still get to be with their love. It's a sci-fi fairytale musical.
Little Mermaid meets Starship Troopers musical starring awesome puppets and the most trans coded main character ever. Please. Please vote Bug Starship I love him. Go watch Kick it Up a Notch from Starship. Go watch Status Quo from Starship. You will understand.
He's a bug and he lives in space on a bug planet but he really wants to be a starship ranger which you can only be if you are a human and then one day a spaceship lands on his planet and so he goes to an evil bug called Pincer who then helps him become a human. And Bug falls in love with a human on the spaceship and it's very sweet. The musical and storyline are based on the little mermaid story, the creators themselves called it "the little mermaid but in space". Bug wanting to be a human/a starship ranger and achieving that and falling in love with a human is very much like the little mermaid
Starship is a musical that can only be described as The Little Mermaid meets Starship Troopers. It follows Bug, an alien bug who dreams of being a Starship Ranger, a galactic explorer/soldier, but the rigid confines of bug society keeps him trapped in a job he hates. He reaches a Starship Ranger named February from the hive and immediately falls in love with her. In order to be with her and pursue his dream, he makes a deal with a giant scorpion named Pincer who through sci-fi bs gives him a human body. Near the end of the second act he sacrifices his human body and returns to his bug body, and saves the day and wins February's heart. It's truly the ultimate Little Mermaid. He has multiple songs, and his bug body is portrayed by a puppet!! Vote for Bug!!
“It's a big, big, universe So many dimensions And unanswered questions Not to mention Life What an invention Life There's no choice involved in what you are given One mind, one voice, one body to live in It's a short, small thing we lead With so much potential Pointless or essential Which one can I be? Where do I fit? Where do I stand? Who are they to say what I am? And how can I stay inside this awful world I know? I need a way out I need an escape I'd rather be dead than to live in this place I wish that something or someone could just take it all away Someone take me away” dear god….. can anybody hear me…. (song from starship)
They are the purest little mermaid adaptation done in the most unuque way. An alien insect gets turned into a human, a race he has always loved and admired, to be with the woman he fell in love with. Also just a great musical.
Bug's whole arc is so so in tune with that of the little mermaid. He is an alien who has fallen in love with humanity through a crashed spaceship and trades his place in the hive for a chance to be with both with the human he's falling for and to be a Starship Ranger. He body swaps with human in a cryogenic pod! It's literally sci-fi Little Mermaid!
Don't stick to the status quo and pick the fairy tale!! it's what HE would want!!!

I have a 2 part question -
So those little baby looking mermaids seemed to be at least partially sentient, does that mean that the mermaids Kraw hunts are either fully or partially sentient?? I mean I understand that the morality of your universe was way different because of the doctor lady and the way those people from the van tried to tag Kraw while he was sleeping, but the implications for the mermaids made me like :0
The whole eat or be eaten thing when almost all creatures can be fully formed people is a very interesting concept and shows how harsh that universe is which is also very interesting to me.
I would also like to know what ISN'T a real thing in that universe. It seems like kind of a free for all in terms of magic/tech/creatures (which is actually my favorite kind of thing because that means there's hardly any limitations in terms of story telling), so I'm really wondering what's a thing that would not exist there. Like are there no aliens or gods, or even something super regular like parrots or something?
(Also sorry I'm very bad at remembering names so I'm sorry that I'm not naming things properly lol)
You’re good!
Well, I had it in my head that some mermaids evolved to be sentient while others are feral and technically aren’t ‘mermaids’ in a sense where they don’t appear very humanoid. Sentient merfolk have their own cultures/societies, which would be completely strange and foreign to those on land. It’s like a whole other world to them. Example is how merfolk all tend to either worship the supposed body that fell into Hellmouth, or they fear that it and the depths will ultimately call to them. Or how they worship the leviathans similar to saints or demigods.
I wanted the ocean to be even more so unknowable than it seems now, just because it’s almost impossible to trek and most islands don’t possess the technology to explore its depths. Most people don’t know about ‘merfolk cultures’ or how they work. There are plenty of weird cults assuming to know though. The Ladder seems to know the most of whats going on, and they’ve cut themselves off from the rest of the world aside from a few information leaks
Like how, even though I show/ talk about the Leviathans on here a lot, most people in Hallowed Carrion have never seen/don’t want to believe they exist, aside from the logs of Ladder Researchers. Seeing one in the modern day is especially rare. They’re usually out in the Hellmouth region which most sailors avoid sailing through. Or they’re curious ones, like the Syrinx.
As for Kraw’s job, he the main guy for taking care of the invasive feral mermaids/ sea creatures in general for Marrowtide, or he preforms ‘catch and release’. Kraw helps control populations, but he’s certainly more ‘sensitive’ to the ethics of hunting mermaids and which ones are just other folks trying to get by. He has his own motto “if it speaks throw it back”. He wasn’t always like that though and he feels guilt over it. He knows his way around them thanks to Mayv and was able to help Marrowtide regain control of their fishing business, as long as they stayed within their means.
Most sentient merms usually know to stay away from the boats if they have traps out, or they stay away from heavily populated islands altogether.
Of course some regions are known to not really give a shit whether merfolk are sentient or not, and usually poach certain rarer merfolk or creatures for organs, oils, scales etc, pretty much how whaling used to be. Kraw can just as easily become a victim of this in some places. Certain Chimereal organs have their uses.
Where I said there were a lot of prejudices against chimereals and where most people don’t know much about them, it would be easy to see someone like Kraw and think he was a dangerous creature if he wasn’t wearing clothes and was dragging a fish up on land on all fours, unfortunately.
As for what can or can’t exist, I don’t really know! Like most of the characters, or people irl today. We could discover anything tomorrow, really.
I’d like to think some regions closer to Hellmouth would be more open to unexplained phenomena happening. Or the regions surrounding the 2nd body would be having certain ‘thinning of the veil’ elements. I don’t really want it to seem like a ‘magical’ place by any means, more like what science can’t or hasn’t explained yet on an earth with new rules of nature so to speak as well as limited means of sharing knowledge. It’s kind of like how in the past the unexplained was accredited to being a miracle from gods or an omen etc. The scary part is when there’s no way to explain it. Examples in Hallowed Carrion is like how some people or places might see Kraw as a ‘demon from the depths’ or a sea monster, unlike Sylvaine who obviously knows he’s just some guy who wants to be a dad.
I’d say there are still regular species of the old world existing, maybe slightly evolved or completely evolved. Some might be rarer than others or completely extinct. Most of the landmasses are islands now so that would effect things obviously.

Mermay Day 8: Banded Lionfish
Never did I think, when I was finally let on ocean voyages, that I'd be propositioned by a Merm. Cassanova, a Banded Fan Fin, was a special case, apparently, but not an unknown one. He was the reason we set out in the first place. He had been trying to haul himself up on boats and "meet" the sailors. He was far, far from home, he was on the wrong side of the continent for his species. We suspect he entered mating season stressed from the relocation and got confused. We managed to catch him and bring him home eventually. Hope he found someone who was more... receptive to his advances.
[Prompt List]
[Previous] - Day 7: Axolotl
[Next] - Day 9: Giant Manta Ray

Merm Jeremy is so smol I would absolutely die for him.
Christine needs to come rescue him from rich and jakes flirting
Tumblr media
Jeremy and the Royal Staff live in the deep sea, where very little exposure to sunlight gives them their moonlight-pale skin and brightly colored eyes, which are sensitive to the sun.
Michael and Christine (among others) live up in the shallows, so they have darker eyes and tanner skin (not depicted since this is just a doodle djdbksbs) to protect against the harsh rays of the sun.
Sirens (namely chloe, who is full siren), who move freely about the ocean depending on whether or not it's "sailor season," come in a wide array of "natural" skintones to fool their prey, but can have eye colors all over the color spectrum to come off as more mesmerizing.

selkie-reader is Really Grateful to have their seal skin all fixed up, huh!
Also! Unrelated! But did you know that in selkie culture, to return one their seal skin is a proposal of marriage! Ain’t that cute! Someone should tell sun and moon.
Selkie-Reader was accidentally caught and injured by Pirate/Sailors? Sun and Moon, who feel guilty enough for hurting someone so cute and harmless and infinitely curious about these strangers who wounded thbem, someone in the wrong place at the wrong time, set out on a long, fantastical journey to find the materials needed to mend Reader’s seal-skin.
During all of this, the three of them fall in love start crushing on each other! And then the boys propose <3 (they don’t know it’s proposing tho)

mermay!! what do you like about merms, what would you wanna write about :D<
AIGHT SO THIS IS SUPER FUCKING LONG SO MOST OF IT IS UNDER THE CUT but short answer: everything. I like everything about mer. I love their shapes, I love the variety of designs they lend themselves to, I love how they're fundementally different from humans in a way that standard humanoids like orcs or vampires often aren't, I love the predator vibe they can have, and generally just. They're so good.
me and my datemate @bleppyboy have done some extensive worldbuilding with mer, so if you wanna read about that, here it is. there's a graph. (scroll to the bottom if you just want to read the sexy bits. or don't. my datemate did maths for this)
From The Outside
To humans, mer are sea monsters- spooky, supernatural predators without much interiority. One-off interactions are usually violent, and managing to kill one is something to brag about and get a trophy from.
This isn't entirely unfair. Mer are perfectly capable of avoiding sailors when they want to, so most encounters are deliberate attacks by mer who are hungry or bored.
There are very small costal villages who have an amicable relationship with the local mer community, but they're few and far between.
Even these places don't really know a lot about mer society at large. There's speculation about everything from vast cities made of coral to magical abilities to commune with whales and sharks and other sea creatures. This is not helped by the fact that of the mer who can actually speak a human language, a good deal of them just. make stuff up. Because it's funny.
The Song
Actual mer society varies as much as human society does, but the entire species shares in one thing- the Song.
The Song is a wave of vocal magic sweeping around the globe, oral history and ballads and warnings and everything about mer as a people all woven together into an incredibly complex, layered, living thing. Mer that live in waters where light barely reaches will mark their days by it, and you could go weeks and months without seeing another mer, and still be connected to those around you.
The Song roughly exists in two main parts- Shallows and Deep Song
The Shallows change the most rapidly, and tend to only travel a few hundred miles. These are notes that carry things that are locally relevant; the movements of prey or predators nearby, fights that have happened, speculations about the weather, and just generally gossip will be passed between mer for as far as it's relevant, and then die off.
The Deep Song is where the history and the lore and the law lives. It moves far slower, and is carried by mer much bigger and much, much older than the ones living closer to the surface.
One of the biggest taboos mer have is to knowingly introduce a lie to the Song, even on the superficial level.
It's perfectly acceptable to lie to humans, and morally nebulous in personal conversation, but deliberately creating a falsehood to pass to others is a defilement of something everyone around you depends on to survive. Liars that are found out have their throat or tongue mutilated.
Community and Values
Like most large predators, mer are not hypersocial creatures. Communities often take the form of a small-ish number of mer roaming a preportionally large territory, which itself tends to be migratory.
Mer that live completely static lives are generally coastal, and much less common.
A handful of individuals will sometimes come together to take down prey large than themselves, or another mer that's been causing trouble. Much larger gatherings will happen during breeding season, resource skirmishes, or rarer times of ceremonial significance.
Life as a mer is extremely rough. Survival is a perpetual concern that can never be taken for granted.
Primary threats are: lack of food, predators like sharks or giant squid, and other mer.
Cannibalism does not carry the same taboo it does amongst humans. It's still a horrible thing, but in times or places of scarcity, it's generally considered a necessary evil.
Mer who eat other mer because they enjoy it, however, are treated with revulsion (though not necessarily fear) Once news about them gets out through the Song, they are generally killed as quickly as possible.
Precise values vary between cultures and individuals, but as a rule, they come down to:
"Be clever, be strong, learn fast, learn well, survive."
"Also fuck a lot."
thank you to my datemate for summing those up so neatly
Biology
Mer will continue to grow as they age. My datemate worked out a graph for it, because ey are a genius and also a witch. BEHOLD
Tumblr media
The red line is the average, and the lines either side show general upper and lower limits.
It's basically unheard of for mer to die of old age. Infant mortality is very high, and most adult mer will eventually run into something that will kill them through sheer statistical probability. However, a number of mer just. Don't die. They tend to move out into deeper waters, and drift away from society entirely. Eventually, they sink deep enough to become a part of the Deep Song.
Mer teeth are extremely similar to shark teeth- numerous, infinitely replacable and incredibly sharp.
Mer are obligate carnivores, but will otherwise eat pretty much anything. Humans are very easy to lure in with song, and while their nutritional value isn't great, they're very fun to play with.
Like a number of things that live underwater, mer literally sleep with one eye open. Being able to rest half of your brain at a time is a huge advantage against anything trying to sneak up on you.
Thermoregulation is not a strong suit. While not completely cold-blooded, mer don't really do well in arctic waters. Sunning is a favourite way of relaxing- floating a few feet below the surface of the water on warm days and soaking in the heat.
Sex and Gender
Yes, this one gets its own section. A lot of thought went into it.
Reproductively speaking, mer are simultaneous hermaphrodites i.e. one mer has both sets of junk. Like most sensibly evolved species, everything stays tucked away internally until it's wanted.
Whichever junk becomes operational is decided by pheromones/electrochemical signals/hormones during foreplay, without any conscious decision being made.
Some mer will swear by certain plants/animal parts/rituals, but frankly the best way to get your body to do what you want is to find a partner who prefers the complementary role. Pairing with the same individual will usually lead to the same roles each time, but not always.
Mer are oviparous, producing eggs similar to irl skate or shark. Gestation is relatively short, with the time being used to re-establish a hatching ground (a kelp forest, a reef, the sides of a trench, etc.)
The community will work together for the few months it takes the eggs to hatch, keeping predators away, ensuring disease or algae doesn't spread, and that early-born mer don't eat the other eggs (other newborns are fair game, and adult responses can range from 'oh that one's a survivor' to 'anything that can't swim fast enough is a Snack For Me'.).
Out of season, sex doesn't tend to produce offspring. The body will often just reabsorb the embryo, and even if it doesn't, the eggs produced often aren't viable or cared for.
As a result of their biological fluidity, mer don't really have much of a concept of What A Gender is. The closest equivalent is how dominant or submissive the individual behaves while fucking, which is as much a personal preference as much as it is anything else and is completely disconnected from the actual biology currently at play.
The role of 'giver' (i.e. has the dick) and 'bearer' (i.e. carries the eggs in the meantime) are recognised as temporary, but there are individuals who express a strong preference or discomfort for one or the other.
This means that while most mer end up carrying young by the end of mating season, there are a handful who only ever act as 'giver' and therefore don't. Whether they ditch the hatching grounds as soon as possible or are expected to put in extra work as a result depends on the individual and the community.
Romantic relationships also aren't really a thing, though 'look at me' gestures such as bringing your intended difficult-to-get prey like seal are common in the lead-up to breeding season. Exclusivity is basically non-existant, though there will be fights over turn-taking.
Kissing is technically a thing, but given the teeth situation and the potential for infection/attracting sharks, it's a relatively risky move. Some mer find the resulting scars extremely attractive and a sign of good health, while others see it as a sign that the person is a risk-taker and bad to spend time around.
Magic and Lore
When the planet was very young, the oceans were completely saturated in magic, impacting the evolution of the creatures that lived in or near it. The general background level of magic has dropped since, but means of utilising or storing magic remain a part of many species' biology.
Every mer has a Big Magic they can use once in their lifetime. It's involuntary, and happens during a time of particular danger or stress. Most will use it to survive a deadly injury or illness (though there are very rare cases of it being used on another mer, or even a human). However...
The longer a mer lives without using this Big Magic, the stronger it becomes. A newborn mer doesn't have enough magic to do anything at all, but some mer may reach a point where they can create storms or change the path of a current. The older a mer gets, though, the harder they are to kill, and often those that live long enough will sink into the depths without using their Big Magic at all.
What happens to the magic of much older mer is unknown, but a common feature of mer folklore is a character diving deep enough to find one of these ancients, and asking them to use their Big Magic to help them.
Mer creation myth has it that they used to live on land until they were driven into the sea, where the Big Magic was used to transform themselves into the shape they are today. In some versions, humans are the ones who stayed on land and are variously portrayed as pre-mer who joined the aggressors, as the aggressors themselves, or just as unlucky ones who got left behind. Every version has them losing any kind of magic at all.
There is, supposedly, a monster that lives deep, deep in the guts of the ocean, beneath even the furthest current of Deep Song. It sounds like mer when it sings, and looks like mer whenever it rises enough to be seen. Its name is the same word/note used to call any mer a liar (lit. 'bind/snarl/entangle'), but the sentiment is probably closer to "that fucking bastard".
Some stories have it capable of changing fundemental notes of the Song, though it's generally agreed that if that was actually true, someone would have noticed by now.
More common are stories of lone mer being lured deep by a note that sounds incredibly familiar, but they can't quite decipher, and being suddenly torn apart for their Big Magic. Something that actively murderous should be avoided at all costs- but on the other hand, if you managed to outwit it, who knows what the stolen magic of a thousand dead mer could be made to do for you?

To my fellow merms, with love
'But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers so much more.'
With these somewhat somber words begins the live-action film The Little Mermaid. A much more tragic tone set for a film that originally swam colorfully and vibrantly into our hearts 34 years ago.  Within the first few minutes of the film opening -- it was clear this new take on the forbidden love story between man and mermaid would not disappoint.
Tumblr media
I was born the year the original Disney animated film came out and I suppose that’s why so many grown women my age are convinced we are mermaids ourselves. The film is a part of the fabric of my life and as my partner says, it’s basically my religion. For that reason, I went into the theatre cautiously optimistic and I believe that’s why I left absolutely elated.
I’ve always loved that the film begins above the water, before diving deep down to the ocean floor. While some criticize the film for it’s lack of lighting under the sea, I found it simply to be true of real life. A big reason humans like myself are called to the sea is the desire to be a part of what lurks beneath the surface; where fish have supernatural neon lights to navigate the darkness. Like Prince Eric, I am curious to discover the unknown, just as Ariel desires to go where she is forbidden.
Ever since the first trailer came out, most of us knew Halle Bailey’s performance would move us. But her angelic voice and wide eyes filled with longing from scene to scene captured me in a way I didn’t expect. As she finished Part of Your World, I found tears streaming down my cheeks. I turned to my cousin (a fellow ‘89 baby) to find that she too was crying. We then immediately started laughing at ourselves. How could we be so emotional at a song we’ve heard thousands of times? Was it overwhelming nostalgia? The realization we could see ourselves in this character? The magic of Disney?? Call it what you want -- the fact remains we were overwhelmed with emotion. And I fully agreed with my cousin when she declared, “the rest of the movie could be crap and I wouldn’t care.  Because that was beautiful”.
I’m pleased to say the rest of the film was NOT crap. Far from it. Though it’s about an hour longer than the original, nearly every new scene and piece of dialogue seemed to move the story forward and deepen the connection between our two main characters.
Tumblr media
While I could have done without Prince Eric’s solo ballad, to me, Jonah Hauer-King embodied the role perfectly. It’s as if Disney knew they were making this film as much for the adult women as they were for the young kids. The handsome, strong sailor who wants to do away with the boundaries between royalty and deck hands instantly had me hooked.  Through added dialogue between Eric and Grimsby, I could easily see what Ariel saw in him.
The new song Ariel sings in her head as she’s suddenly among humans was a perfect addition to the story. It describes all the emotions running through her body; all the anxious excitement someone would feel when they finally make it where they longed to be.
By far though, the best addition to the film is the discovery of Prince Eric’s whoseits and whatsits galore. The parallel between Ariel’s cave of collections from humans and Eric’s trove of treasures from under the sea was exactly what the animated version lacks: a deep soul connection between the two lovers. Ursula never stood a chance ;)
Speaking of -- Melissa McCarthy does a fantastic job as our villain... but the actress playing human Ursula aka Vanessa -- Jessica Alexander knocks it OUT OF THE PARK! She’s only in the film for such a short time but she makes quite the splash. As the spell begins to unravel, her desperation and anger fully takes hold and I was actually a little scared!!
Tumblr media
Though we don’t get the big wedding boat rainbow and sendoff in this version, we do get a much more independent Ariel. She’s the one who figures out how to teach the prince her name. She’s the one who ultimately takes down the villain and just like in the original, she’s the one who convinces her father that not all humans are bad. Breaking barriers for sea creatures and humans just as Halle has broken a barrier by being our first Ariel of color.
I thought I would be much more upset by changes and the omission of lyrics in the classic songs like Kiss the Girl and Poor Unfortunate Souls; but to be honest, I barely even noticed them. I’m almost embarrassed to have questioned decisions made by the one and only Alan Menken. I can honestly say In Alan, I trust!
And also -- in Grimsby I trust!! I’ll leave you with this new quote from Eric’s confidant that truly struck a chord in me. A motto I will likely continue to recall when I find myself struggling with a decision in matters of the heart:
“Don’t be held back by what you think should be. Think of only what is”

Okaaay pinned mod post time!
About me:
I'm MJ. I'm 21. That's kind of it lol
About the au:
The ocean is categorized by two sections: the Shallows and the Deep. Merfolk (merms, as I call them) have evolved differently depending on what part of the ocean they're from. Merms from the surface have a darker range of skin tones (and darker colored eyes) to protect from their constant exposure to the sun, while merms from the deep range more on the fair-skinned/white side with better "night vision" to navigate the impossibly dark Deep.
The Deep is considered much more dangerous than the Shallows, so much so that a lot of merms from the Shallows doubt any other merfolk even live down there. The Shallows, however, are dangerous in their own regard, with sailors and pirates hunting down merms for numerous reasons.
Deep Sea merms don't venture to the Shallows due to old stories and rumors of the population's supposed selfishness when pirates arrive: that it's every merm for themself up their. Of course, this is old rhetoric that no one has ever proven either way, because aside from the invasive humans, Deep Sea merfolk have a high sensitivity to the sun and stay down in their dark environment lit by glowing wildlife.
Sirens are an interesting case, more or less being the middle ground between merfolk from the Shallows and the Deep. Their skintones and eye colors have a much wider range to appear more human OR inhuman/mesmerizing, depending on what lures their victims best. Sirens get around, but stray closer to the Shallows for the obvious purpose of feeding on sailors.
It's said that "everyone has a bit of siren in them," but only those that possess the magic required to lure their victims can truly call themselves such.
Various tags? I guess? (Probably more to be added):
#word of god = any mod posts/lore that isn't delivered by the story/characters themselves
#merm doodles = any doodle dumps/posts that aren't linked to a specific storyline
#merm fanart = any fanart y'all make of this au! I will love you eternally if you make fanart /p
#[character] response = asks answered by that specific character fourth-wall-break style
#guppy era = Flashback posts/posts that take place while the character(s) are younger
#pirates life for me = pirate crew/squip posts
#non ask = merm stuff I made unprompted/without an ask lol
General rules/things to know:
There's no set schedule for when I post; I do have to juggle a job and my own mental health
Asks may be answered out of order of when they were received. This could be bc I'm saving a certain ask for a later time or it requires more time/effort than another
Asks that are overtly sexually explicit will be deleted; while the characters may not be minors IN THIS AU, their origins are of 16/17yo high schoolers and I'd rather not risk it.
That said, LIGHTLY SUGGESTIVE asks have less chance of getting deleted with no explanation. (Be More Chill has plenty of dirty jokes! I'm a fan of the occasional dirty joke! And while that kind of stuff won't translate as well w/ half-fish people, they're definitely less Uncomfy™️ than straight-up explicit asks.)
"How do I know whether or not a suggestive ask is ok?" Fuck around and find out. If it's the kind of joke/remark that could be made in the show, assume it's ok, but don't necessarily expect a serious answer lol
As of making this post (4-26-23) I'm in the process of reblogging all merm stuff currently on main here, and there are a couple of asks that have yet to be answered. Those will be answered on main and then reblogged here, so no need to submit them again here <3 That said, if you have a merm au-specific ask I do suggest that you ask them HERE from this point on just for organization's sake :)
Likewise, asks answered Here will be reblogged to Main as well because that's where this au had its origins.
Edits will be made to this post as needed. Until then, happy scrolling!
